Welcome to brain Stuff from house stuff works dot com where smart happens. Hi Am Marshall Brain with today's question, how often do the State quarters come out? And how many does the MINT produce? In the U s. Mint started producing a series of fifty state quarters, one for each state in the United States. They've been coming out at a rate of five per year over the last ten years. In other words, a new state quarter is issued every ten weeks or so. They've been released in

the same order that the states joined the Union. At the end of two thousand and eight, the last state Quarter, Hawaii comes out. The MINT produces production figures. These figures indicate that the MINT produces something like three hundred to three hundred fifty million quarters every month. Therefore, in a ten week run, each state gets something like eight hundred

million or so quarters minted. These quarters are dumped into general circulation by sending them out through the commercial bank network. Given that there are approximately three million people in the United States, there are at least two quarters for each state that every one of us can collect.
