EP10: Staying true to your morals in the sea of sales and criticism
Episode description
As human beings we influence people on a daily basis, whether you have Instagram or not. You don’t have to wait until you have 10,000 followers on Instagram to have a positive influence on people. Everyone has influence in some capacity, but it is up to you to decide how it affects your decisions. Being an influencer is something we can all be but some people do it for the right reasons and some do it for the wrong reasons. Be aware that there is a difference between knowing how to coach someone and how to sell someone.
Preying on someone’s ego is how many companies push their products and services on people and that is what gives the term “influencer” a dark side. Instead of talking about how good their own service or product is, most people talk about what everyone else is doing wrong. If someone is confident in their service, then they should let that speak for itself. Remember, progress takes time with anything, so stay true to your morals don’t let the “overnight” sales and criticism that you see on social media stop your from reaching your goals.
In this episode, we talk about…
- The term “influencer”
- Causes of frustration on Instagram
- Being genuine when marketing your product/service
- How to stay out of a negative cloud
- Good coaches vs. bad coaches
- Patience of people hiring coaches
- Progress takes time
