Tish discusses her father’s journey with Lewy Body dementia, the importance of brain donation, and how braindonorproject.org makes the process easier for everyone considering this option. Dr. Peters is then joined by Dr. Ann McKee, board-certified neurologist and neuropathologist at Boston University and founder of the UNITE (VA-BU-CLF) brain bank. Dr. McKee explains how brain banks work, how to become a donor, and the types of things that can be learned from studying brains.
