Hello, when welcome to Boost your brain Power. I'm your host, doctor Eric Caplan. We're going to be talking about brain function today. We see a lot of patients with concussion or traumatic brain injury where their brain isn't functioning at optimal levels. And
it doesn't have to be right after you hit your head. We've had patience with car accidents where years later their brains get affected and they're like, how come my memory is not as good as it used to be, or my focus is not as good as it used to be, or I can't think of those words so easily like I used to, or I lose things a little bit easier now. A lot of people, doctors included, will blame old a Now, that is one of my pet peeves when people blame old
age on the brain not functioning properly. You can get older and your brain can function at a higher level. You can get older and your memory can improve, your focus can improve, you can have more energy, better sleep, less pain. You just have to put in the work that's the key. You have to work for it. You know, your health isn't given to you. You have to do the right things. You've got to make better choices in your life. Your health is a full time job twenty four
seven. You've got to be thinking about your health. And you always think, is it's going to improve my health or is that going to cause problems to my health. You always measure the risk versus the reward. A lot of things will be a lot riskier and very little reward, okay, And it's simple stuff like food, right, So, sugar high risk, very low reward, dairy products high risk, very low reward, alcohol high risk, very low reward. Coffee high risk, very low reward. These things
deteriorate your health. Coffee is a diuretic. It dehydrates you. It's very bad for your digestion, causes ascid reflux, it's bad for your thyroid, causes autoimmune disease spand for your brain, causes inflammation, creates more anxiety, difficulty with sleep, low energy. It's a drug. It's not actually making you healthy, it makes you think you're healthy. And especially the way they process it here in America, the American coffee Starbucks Dunkin Donuts, those are
the worst. Now you have those flavored pumpkin lattes, pumpkin spice. There's no pumpkin in all these pumpkin flavored drinks and foods. Now, it's artificial flavoring. Starbucks just got in trouble. They lost a big lawsuit. Have their fruit drinks have no fruit. They call them fruit drinks, and there's no fruit in it. It's just flavoring, artificial flavoring to make a taste like fruit. I have a patient, she's a chemist, and her job
is to make all these flavors. She's gotta make strawberry flavor and banana flavor and pumpkin flavor. And her job is t she's a chemist, so she's got to taste it until it tastes exactly like the flavor. However, she's ingesting all of these toxic chemicals, all these artificial flavors. And that's not even including the food dies, which goes cancer and lots of inflammation and neurological
problems and ADHD a lot of problems with these food dies. But my patient, who's a chemist, so her job is to taste all these chemicals, and her brain's all messed up. She has severe anxiety, she's got depression, troubles with focus, troubles with memory, she can't sleep, she got heart palpitations, got brain fog, low energy. And I told her she has to quit, and she said, well, that's my job, that's how I make a living. Well. Money does no good if you're not
healthy. Sometimes you gotta quit your job. Sometimes you gotta get out of a bad relationship. Sometimes you gotta move out of your living situation. Sometimes you gotta make life changes. If it's your health that's at risk, it's always the risk verse the reward. That's why all my therapies that I suggest to my patients are very low risk and very high reward. Surgery very high risk, medication very high risk. You've got to be careful with these high
risk procedures. They could cause more problems. Sometimes the cure is worse than the condition. Now, modern medicine, there's a lot of surgeries. You know, I don't agree with that. I'm a little bit different than doctors in the typical medical field. Okay, I'm not prescribing medication. I'm not a medical doctor. I'm not doing surgeries. I'm not a surgeon. I'm a functional neurologist, so I improve the function of your brain and your nervous
system. If you have diabetes, which is causing neuropathy, usually burning in the feed or the hands, numbness, tangling pains, that's neuropathy. If you have a diabetic neuropathy, I'm not the doctor that says, okay, let's just amputate the foot. Give diabetes. You could literally have to get your fingers amputated, your toe amputated, your limbs because it creates these neuropathy. The nerves die off, It kills the nerves. You can get blind. Diabetes is no joke. I don't want to lose a limb. I
don't want to get blind. And guess what. It also causes Alzheimer's disease. They're thinking about changing the name of Alzheimer's disease to diabetes type three. Also COVID nineteen. Many people who died from COVID nineteen also had diabetes. If you didn't have another co factor with COVID nineteen, it wasn't as bad. The people who got it bad they had diabetes, they had heart disease, they had obesity, They drank a lot of alcohol, they had some
health issue, some cofactor, lime disease, pneumonia, influenza. It's when you're at a weak point and it could just be stress mode. You could have, you know, not slept the night before because you were fighting with your spouse all night. That's going to weaken your immune system. So you get exposed to a virus such as COVID nineteen. That virus is going to take over. The same thing happens with cancer when you're immune system suppressed because
you're not doing the right things. Might be eating too much sugar, too much chemical exposure, too much emotional stress. Now the cancer can thrive. If you didn't sleep right, if you don't exercise, you eat an unhealthy diet. Now you could get the flu. These viruses, these bacteria, cancer, they want you to be weak. They wait until you're week. So what you have to do is make your body strong. If your body's strong, you can handle anything. You can handle emotional stress, you can
handle physical stress, chemical stress. You're always going to be stressed out. There's always going to be some problem in your life. But if your body's strong and your body's healthy, it will not result in any physical manifestation. Same thing with concussion. Like I said before, we treat a lot of people with concussion. Now, if you hit your head at a time when
you're super healthy, your brain can handle it. But if you hit your head and your brain is not in a healthy state and your nervous system is depressed at that point, now it could cause a lot of problems. Or if you hit your head in the past and you were an a good state where it never manifested into physical problems, but you never fixed the problem when you hit your head. Then when something does come up where you hit your head again, it might not even be as hard, or you're emotionally stressed,
or you're exposed to some virus or bacteria or mold or parasite. Now you can start getting physical manifestations. The body will take advantage when you're at a weak state. That's why it's so important to not let your body get weak. Then you can fight off anything. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, but you have to put in the effort. Now. You have to get your body strong and healthy so it can handle if
you hit your head. And if you hit your head in the past, we have to get your brain analyzed to see if there was any damage. And I don't care if it was a month ago, a year ago, ten years ago, twenty years ago. You can have a problem where you hit your head as a child and now it's manifesting as an adult. And it might not manifest as headaches or dizziness or blurry vision or light sensitivity like typical concussion. It might be digested problems, sleeping problems, low energy,
depression, anxiety, troubles with focus, memory. I was a co author of a book called Concussion Discussions. You can get that at concussion discussions dot com or you can call my office. We can get you a copy. And that's about how you can hit your head, but later in life it can have an effect on your brain. And you don't want to wait till you get dementia, Alzheimer's, Parkinson stroke to start working on your brain. The time is now, and we're going to teach you how to get your
brain stronger and healthier to prevent any future problems. More when we come back from the brain, if you want to improve your brain function, help with memory, focus, sleep, digestion, energy, depression, anxiety, dizziness, balance, vision, headaches, brain fog, weight loss, or simply want to maximize your human potential and prevent future diseases that this is the show
for you. Don't misboost your brain power with doctor Eric Kaplan and you will learn natural, integrative, and holistic approaches to modern day medical problems such as Alzheimer's, Parkinson's stroke, autism, add concussion, autoimmune diseases, insomnia, fibromyalgia, vertigo, migraines, for posture pain, TBI, skin and digestive
problems. Doctor Kaplan is most famous for getting to the root cause of a wide variety of brain and health conditions, right than treating symptoms with traditional medicines and risky surgeries. To contact to doctor Kaplan, you can call his team at two h one two six two five zero or visit his website at kaplan dc dot com. Now, how come some people can hit their head and be okay and some people can hit their head and have horrible symptoms. A
lot of people don't even realize they have a concussion. But what happens is your brain stops to function at optimal levels. There's different parts of your brain. You have your frontal cortex or your frontal lobe that's responsible for focus, motivation, organization, planning, memory, depression and anxiety, unctuality, executive functions, understanding consequences of action, language words, fine motor movements. These are all from the frontal cortex. So if you have a bunch of those
problems, you probably have a weak frontal cortex. Now, what would you do if a muscle is weak, you would strengthen it. You'd go to the gym, you exercise it. Well, if you have a weak frontal cortex, you can exercise your frontal cortex. You can make your frontal cortex stronger. You can improve your motivation, your organization, you're planning, your memory, your focus. It can all improve. But you have to exercise your frontal cortex. And I'm not talking about, you know, doing the
crossword puzzle. I'm talking about strengthening your brain by doing stuff you've never done before. The key to strengthening your brain is to do new things you've never done before. So if you keep doing the crossword puzzle, it's like, Okay, I've done the crossword puzzle on a million times. Your brain doesn't have to work as hard because you've done it so many times. You have to start, you have to start doing new things, novelty. It's literally
the most important thing to improve your brain function. If you want to prevent Alzheimer's disease, start doing new things every day. Do you want to prevent dementia? Start doing new things every day. Do you want to improve your memory and focus? You have to start doing new things every single day. You have to do new things. The worst thing is doing the same thing every week. You go to the same job, you see the same people, you go to the same places, you eat the same foods, you
watch the same TV show. Repetition is bad for the brain. It makes it die off. You have to challenge it. You have to do new things. Don't always do things the same way and everything in your life. Don't always brush your teeth with your right hand, brush you with your left hand or your non dominant hand. Don't always sit on the same place on the subway, change your seat up and always take the same route to work. Don't always talk to the same people, don't always visit the same places.
You have to do new things. You can learn a new musical instrument, You could do a new learn a new dance move, learn a new sport. I want you to learn things where your body's moving. Not just sitting at a desk doing sudoku, not just playing on your phone finding the wordle of the day or playing scrabble with your friend on your phone. You have to do something where you get your butt off the chair. You have to do something active. A lot of people are taking a pick a ball
now frying. It's something new. Yeah, I haven't done it. Try it, and you gotta move your body. You gotta coordinate. It's not very high risk, right, always say risk verse reward. We don't see a lot of pickleball injuries. It's not high risk, but it's very high reward. You're outside your social you're gonna meet new people. You're gonna be in the sunlight. You're gonna get oxygen. You're gonna get exercise and move your body. You're gonna coordinate. It's good for your balance, but for
your brain. Try something new. Take a salsa class, take a my rengue class, Do some line dancing. I don't care what it is. Do something fun. I'm a patient and she's seven years old. She started taking pole dancing classes. But it's really good exercise. She's having fun, she's meeting new people. She can exercise. You can out of the house, sweat, and it's good for her cardio vascular health. She's lost a weight, she's improved her depression. From pole dancing classes, She's learning something
new. She's never done that before. I had another patient doing belly dancing classes. You know, I took my wife out for Argentinean tango lessons. It was just something different. We never did it. It was fun, we met new people, we got out of the house. It was romantic. You know, we were active, we were laughing. Do something fun. You know, my kid wants to take drum lessons. That's great. You know, you're moving your body, moving your legs, your arms,
you're coordinating. It's fun. It's loud. Kids love to bang things. You know, you make music. Music as therapeutic for the brain. I mean, there's so many good activities you could do. And I don't care if you're just going outside for a walk around the block a couple of time. But do something active. Go bike riding, go hiking, you know, take on some art class. Art class is very good for the frontal
cortex. You know, you're moving your body. You get the fine motor skills right, so you're painting, you're sculpting, sewing, you know, crocheting. These are all movements of your fingers that are going to stimulate your brain. You're gonna think. You gotta coordinate, You gotta plan very good for that frontal cortex. We really want to strengthen that frontal cortex. You don't want Alzheimer's, you don't want dementia, you want Parkinson's. You better
start working on your frontal cortex. Fine finger movements, learning new things, challenging your brain, making it work. We could do an exercise called a trailmaking exercise. You guys can do this at home. Think of that game rock paper scissors. So you do that, but you do it in different order. So you say rock scissors, paper, and you do that for thirty seconds straight on your hand, you know, rock scissors, paper, rock scissors, paper, over and over and over again for thirty seconds.
And then when you get good, you switch it up and you go paper scissors, rock, and then you go rock, paper scissors, and then you keep switching up the order. So it's more challenging and more challenging. It's a trail making exercise. Then you add you know, chop scissors, rock, paper, and then you go scissors, gun, chop rock, paper, so you switch up the order, you switch up the amount of objects you're doing. This is very good for the frontal cortex. That's a
trail making exercise. You do it over and over for thirty seconds, three times a day. Another good exercise for the frontal cortex is you do with your right hand make a peace sign. With your left hand, make an okay sign, you know where you make like a circle and then the three fingers and then you count to three. You say one, two, three, and then you switch and the other hand does the peace sign, and then you switch the other hand to the okay sign, and every three seconds
you switch peace okay at the same time. That's a frontal cortex exercise. I got thousands of thousands of exer signs, and you might have to do it on the right side versus the left side. You know, for example, when we see children with add or autism or adults with that stuff as well, a lot of times it's a right frontal cortext deficiency, so we'll have to do stuff more on the left side to balance it out. It's not everybody, but you know, it's just a pattern I've seen. I've
been doing this for twenty three years. Since two thousand, I've been studying functional neurology. I've been helping patients balance out their brain and prove function. It's one of my biggest passions, you know, comes from my grandma Daddy, who died from Alzheimer's disease. And it was a slow death, you
know, it took fifteen years. But those last fifteen years, you know, I'd visited her about once or twice a year, and every year I saw her brain get worse and worse, her memory get worse and worse, her focus get worse and worse, her depression got worse and worse. You know, by the end the last ten years, she just wanted to die. She was miserable, her frontal cortex was deteriorated, and she had no
passion in her life anymore. She used to, you know, always be dressed up and laughing and playing tennis and dancing and making dinner and keeping her house clean and always wearing makeup and getting here, you know, wearing nice clothes and always the hit at a party. And then once she moved to Florida, she just sat on the couch all day, just watch TV.
Wasn't a social stop exercising, stop going outside, stop eating healthy, stop cooking, and her brain out worse and worse and worse because she didn't stimulate it. She stopped learning new things. And I saw her brain get worse and worse, and I said, I don't want that to happen to other
people. So I decided, I'm going to be a functional neurologist, and I'm going to help people improve their brain function to prevent Alzheimer's, prevent dementia in a natural, holistic way, without any drugs, without any surgery, without any deep brain stimulation, low risk, high reward, using functional neurology and neuroplasticity. We're going to continue this discussion about neuroplasticity when we come back
from the brain. Don't miss boost your brain power doctor Eric Kaplan every Saturday from two pm to three pm to learn the secrets of how to optimize your brain function. Welcome back to boost your brain power. I'm your host, doctor Eric Kaplan.
We're talking about neuroplasticity and rewiring the brain. You could actually make your brain stronger. Now, the bad news is after forty years of age, you lose about ten percent of your brain cells every decade of your life. So the deal with that is is we want to make sure we lose the bad brain cells. You have what's called these glial cells. They're the nurses of your brain and they clean out all these bad brain cells. So what we
want to do and we get rid of these ten percent. We want to get rid of the ten percent that's bad, eliminate the bad brain cells and really make the other brain cells function at the highest level. And you can make your brain strong by doing brain exercises, different eye exercises, balance exercises, memory exercise, using different movements and lights and sounds and oxygen and laser
therapy and hyperbaric chambers and neurofeedbacks. There's so many good, natural, holistic ways to boost your brain power, improve the function of your nervous system that has a very low risk and a very high reward by making your brain stronger and stronger and stronger. Now, the thing is, how do you know which areas of the brain to make stronger? How do you know which exercises
you need to do, because there's so many different brain exercises. There's different smells and tastes and lights and sounds and movements and memory and balance and oxygen and breathing and gut and inflammation and narrow transmitters and hormones and thyroid and blood flow and connections, and you know, there's so many different things narrow transmitters, mitochondria that we have to take in consideration when figuring out what's most appropriate
for you. Because everybody's different with concussion, everybody has different areas of brains damage. When we get people with COVID nineteen brain fog, it's totally different with each patient. We get people with lyme disease who have difficulty with focus and energy, you know it all has We always have to treat each patient as an individual, so we have to analyze their brain properly. Unfortunately, the MRI, the CATS scan, they're not going to show too much about
the brain. They're gonna pick up maybe if there's a big tumor, which is super important, and they're gonna pick up if you had a big stroke something like that. But outside of stroke, tumor, you know, multiple scuros as these major neurologic conditions, the testing isn't going to pick up much. There are other tests outside of MRI's X rays and cat scan that actually analyze the brain a lot better and there's no radiation, there's no contrast fluid,
there's no risk. It's always about the risk versus the reward. Remember aiming and testing, not just treatment, because a lot of the testing can be risky as well. The testing that we do in our offices we have two offices, one in Emerson, New Jersey and one in the West Village of Manhattan, New York City, we do what's called a q EEG brain
mapping. The q EEG brain mapping is where you wear a cap. It looks like a swimmer's cap, and there has electrodes that are attached to all the different areas of your brain, you know, the frontal lobe which we are speaking about before, and the parietal and the temporal and the accipital lobe
and the cerebellum and all the different areas of the brain. And it analyzes the different areas of the brain by looking at the brain waves alpha and beta and beta and delta, all these different brain waves, and based on where the brain waves are a normal it will tell us which area the brains are not functioning well. It will pick up. Do you have troubles with focus, anxiety, depression, It'll pick up. Do you have short term memory
loss, sequential memory loss? Do you have anger aggression? Do you have trouble shifting tasks? Do you have low acietal coline or low dopamine? Do you have white matter inflammation in your brain? Is it related to some thyroid problem? Do you have intestinal inflammation? Are you related to hyperglycemia and sugar and diabetes. Did you have a concussion. Did you have a pathology a virus COVID nineteen lime disease? You know It literally picks up all this stuff.
Insomnia picks up, sleep deprivation, it picks up, you know, if you have worry, if your panic, it picks up. If you have time management issue, organization planning, sensory issues, tonightness, floaters in the eyes, troubles with smell and taste, and balance problems and clumsiness and bumping into things. It's gonna tell us so you're gonna be predisposed to Alzheimer's or dementia. This qEEG brain mapping is one of the best tests we can
do. It's non invasive, it only takes about twenty to thirty minutes to do the whole thing, and it tells us so much valuable information. Based on that information, we could give you suggestions of natural, holistic remedies to improve your function so that those abnormal brain waves start to function at a higher level. It's called neuroplasticity, where we rewire the brain to strengthen the weak areas. If it's not broke, we don't fix it. You only want
to work on the areas that need the help. Right. If things are working well, and we just continue to do the things that work well, it's the areas that aren't functioning optimules that gives you the problems. You're only as strong as your weakest link. So most people are very comfortable doing the things that they're good at. But what we have to do is find your weak areas, and the qEEG brain mapping is one of the best tests to
figure out where those weak areas are. And then based on where the weak areas are, now we could come up using neuroscience and using the research that's already been done to stimulate those areas. You know, if you have a weak parietal cortex that's where sensory input comes from. We know there are exercise is that you could do to strengthen that specific area of the brain. One
of them is called graphesthesia, and everyone's done this as a kid. Where you draw a letter on your friends back and they're gonna say, okay, what letter is it? Or you draw it on the hand, you draw
a number, It's okay, what number is this. It's called graphesthesia, and that's very good for your parietal cortex, or just what's called stereognosis where you identify certain objects, so you close your eyes and you feel different balls Okay, this is either a tennis ball or baseball or racquetball, golf ball or softball, and then you got to feel it and you identify it.
That's very good for that sensory input. Or you could just have different change, you know, a quarter or nickel, a dime, a penny, half a dollar. You gotta feel it and figure out what change that is. Or you take little utensils. You take a pencil, a pen a highlighter, a cran, a marker, you know, all these different things and you got to identify by feeling touch. There are so many different brain exercises that can be done, but we got to figure out what's appropriate for
you. Okay, you might be in stress mode, so you might have to calm your nervous system down. You might have anxiety, difficulty sleep, you get panic, heart palpitations, you're always worrying, you're in fear mode, in that fight or flight mode. You're always ready for that fight.
Then we have to do exercises to calm down your nervous system. So we might have to do you know, like a little gargling exercise, or I might have you use cold water or rub this part of your ear like I said, we got to figure out where your weaknesses are then give you the appropriate therapeutic exercises without any drugs surgeries. Right, I'm not the doctor that gives you the prescription. If you have anxiety and you want, you know, a xanex, don't come to me. You know, if you want
a pain killer, don't come to me. I'm not going to give you a percoset or viking it. I'm going to get to the root cause of your pain. How come you have neck pain or back pain. Maybe you're out of alignment, maybe a bed posture, Maybe you got muscle spasm and you've got nerve compression. But don't come to me if you just want, you know, an anti inflammatory or a pain killer. Right, If you have insomnia or difficulties sleeping, don't come to me. I'm not going to
write you a prescription for an ambient. But I'm going to figure out what part of your brain is overactive and why is your cortisol levels too high at night affecting your sleep, and we could rewire your brain. You might need different types of therapy, might need some neurow feedback, you might need some functional neurology. You might need some you might need to change some habits at home, electronic exposure or eating habits. We gotta get to the root cause
of the problem. Don't treat the symbol, don't take melatonin or ambient but figure out why you're not sleeping. So I'm a functional neurologist. We get to the root cause and increase your function. But the first step is to do the brain mapping, a q EEG brain mapping, so we can figure out exactly where the problems are. We're going to do a big gift to
all my listeners. The q EEG brain mapping is normally five hundred dollars, but for the first seven people that call, text or email, you can literally get the entire q EEG brain mapping, plus my recommendation, my recommendations, diagnosis and review. Instead of paying the normal five hundred dollars, you only have to pay twenty one dollars. Just call or text six four six two two one six seven three eight, or you can email info at Kaplan
brain embody dot com. Just say you want to be one of the first seven people that want to do the q EEG brain mapping for only twenty one dollars. It's going to tell us exactly what areas of the brain are not functioning at optimal levels, and then I'm going to give you recommendations on how to improve it. Now, when you work with me, I always tell patients it's work all right. I'm going to teach you what to do, but you're the one that's got to go home and do it. So don't
sign up if you're looking for that easy, quick fix. But if you're looking for the solution, permanent solution, if you're looking to get to the root cause, if you don't want to just put a band aid, if you don't want to just cover up symptoms, then this is the test for you. This is doctor Eric Kaplan. You're listening to boost your brain power
more when we come back from the brain. If you want to improve your brain function, help with memory, focus, sleep, digestion, energy, depression, anxiety, dizziness, balanced vision, headaches, brain fog, weight loss, or simply want to maximize your human potential and prevent future diseases,

I'm your host, doctor Eric Kaplan. We were talking about concussion, how you can hit your head and you can affect different areas
of your brain. Talked about the frontal cortex. It's for focus, motivation, depression, anxiety, organization, planning, social behavior, punctuality, time management, understanding, consequences of actions. Those are your executive functions. When people injure their frontal cortex, they're gonna have trouble with these executive functions.
Other people might injure their parietal cortex. That's gonna be sensory stuff. You're gonna bump into things, clumsiness, you're gonna confuse LEPs and right's gonna get lost easily, not knowing where you are, feeling weird things on your skin, weird sensations, feeling out of your body, feeling disconnected, abnormal sensory sensations. That's the parietal cortex. And people who a concussion can injure all
different areas of the brain. People who get lime disease can affect all different areas of the brain, people who get COVID nineteen, multiple sclerosis, stroke, all of these can be overlapping because they can affect the same area of the brain. Now, what are the other errors of the brain. The temporal cortex that's on the side, by your temporals, that's going to affect your memory. Long term memory is a little bit lower in the temporal cortex,
and short term memory is a little bit higher. So that's your memory. You're also related to hearing and balance everything by that temple, by that ear. That's your temporal cortex. And in the back you have your occipital
cortex that's involved in vision. A lot of people have visual problems. There's all different types blurry vision, there's double vision, there's light sensitivity, there's problem with near vision, trouble with far vision, trouble a vision and night trouble at vision, reading trouble and vision without light, trouble at vision with light. All different types of visual problems, tunnel vision, poor peripheral vision. But we gotta break it down. We gotta analyze it through the fields
of gaze, check out pursuits of cords. A lot of stuff we gotta do with vision that's from the occipital cortex, and that's where a lot of people get pain, they get headaches, they get tension in the back of their head. It pulls on the skull. Sometimes we night might need to do physical therapy. Sometimes we night we might need to do manipulation of the joints. Sometimes we have to you know, decompress the nerves. Sometimes the
skull is tilted. Now, there's lots of things that and be affecting your health and your well being, but we always got to get to the root cause of the problem. Another part of your brain is your cerebellum, very common area injured in car accidents, sports injuries, concussions, slips and falls. This is the part of the brain that's responsible for balance, coordination, movement, gate, thinking, properly, speaking properly, it's coordinating your whole
body. The cerebellum uses up a lot of energy, a lot of oxygen. It's the first part that's affected when you drink alcohol. So you might be you know, lose your balance, you might slur your speech, you might have lack of impulse control, so you might get dizzy. This all comes from the cerebellum. That's what the police do when they're doing a drunk driving. They're checking from the stagnast They're checking can you stand on one leg
your heel to tell They're checking how you speak. That's all from the cerebellum. So people who have brain damage a lot of times they're cerebellum is affected. First, another part of the brain. You have your brain stem. That's like the old brain, the amphibian brain that controls your blood pressure. If you have high blood pressure, we got to look at your brain stem controls your gut. If you have IBS, constipation, diarrhea, ulcra,
relative colitis, you have silliac disease, chrome's disease. There's all issues in your bagus, nerve, in your brain stem. So high blood pressure, you have constipation, you have excessive urination, you have trouble sleeping, you have hormonal problems, period problems, pregnancy problems, anger problems, aggression problems, anxiety. This can be due to abnormal function of your brain stem. And what we want to do is locate where the problems are. Therefore we'll
know how to treat it appropriately. So we have to do a thorough evaluation. One of the best evaluations you can do. It's called a VNNG video mystography. It's this test where you wear these goggles and it measures different eye movements and based on the different eye movements, we can analyze the different lobes of the brain. So not only can we tell where the problem is,
but we could tell the imbalances from left to right. That is vital because we might want to calm down one side and we might need to stimulate the other. So it's not just about figure out where the problem is, but once we do figure out where is it because it's overactive, is it underactive? Is it not communicating? Is it a balanced from left to right?
The VG is the best test for that. And if you ever had a concussion, or you have your COVID longhauler, or if a chronic lime disease, you have some autoimmune problem, you got five on my alga multiple Scrows says, you definitely want to do this test, or if you just want to see how your brain's function. Your memory is not doing good, your focus isn't too good, your balance is off, you get anxiety, it can't sleep, you get headaches, dizing this. This is the test to
figure out where the problem is. It's called a VNNG. It's normally five hundred dollars, but as a gift to all my listeners, for the first seven people that call, you can get the entire BNNG test. Instead of paying five hundred dollars, you only have to pay twenty one dollars. All you have to do is call or text six four six two two one six seven three eight. Again that's six four six two two one six seven three eight. You could call or text, or if you'd rather do email,
just email us at info at Kaplan, brain embody dot com. Just say you listen to the show and you want to be one of the first seven people to pay twenty one dollars for the vn test. Now that's going to tell us the imbalances from left to right, but maybe we need to take a few more things. Another test that I would suggest you taking advantage of We're going to give you a gift at the end of the show is a
one on one evaluation with me, yours truly, Doctor Eric Kplum. And during the one on one, we listen to your heart, I listen to your gut, your lungs. I check your oxygen levels. I check out your eyes, your memory, your balance, We check out you know your history, your blood work. We go over your goals, we go over any other test results you've done, and then we come up with a diagnosis. After the diagnosis, I give you my suggestions, and there's lots of
different suggestions that might entail for you to achieve optimal levels. But it's up to you. So don't come to me if you want medications, you want drugs, you want injections, you want ivs, you want surge. That's not the type of doctor I am. I'm not going to prescribe you medicine. I am not going to cut you open. I'm not going to take out any organs. I'm not going to do any surgeries. We're not going to do deep brain stimulation. We're not going to put in anything in your
body. We're not opening up anything, We're not penetrating the skin. We're coming up with solutions that are natural, holistic, and integrative that are going to be very low risk and very high reward. We're going to figure out what you need to do specifically, because every patient is different. You know, even with the same diagnosis. I have one, you know, concussion
patient, they're gonna get complete different programmers as another concussion patient. You know, one stroke patient, they're going to get completely different types of therapist than another stroke patient. You know, one Parkinson's patient, we'll get different therapist than another Parkinson's or one autism patient we'll get different than another autism. So it's not about the diagnosis, but it's how your brain is functioning. The
diagnosis is just the label. But if we get to the root cause and figure out where the problems are coming from, then we could come up with the best solution. And a way to do that is a one on one evaluation with me. It normally takes about forty five minutes. It costs five hundred dollars, but for the gift, for the first seven people they call, text or email, you can get the one on one evaluation with me for only twenty one dollars. If you already called about the QEG and the
VNG, call back again you can get all three. You could just sign up for the v ANDNG, the QEG and the one on one with me for twenty one dollars each. You can do all three in the same day, but you have to call or email six four six two two one six seven three eight or email info at Kaplan Brain and Body dot com.
