The following is a paid podcast. iHeartRadio's hosting of this podcast constitutes neither an endorsement of the products offered or the ideas expressed. Hello, and welcome to boost your brain power. I'm your host, doctor Eric Kaplan. This month is Alzheimer's Disease Awareness Month, so we want to make everybody aware of ways to prevent Alzheimer's, to prevent dementia. Actually, everyone always asks me, what's the difference between Alzheimer's and dementia. Now, dementia is when you start

to have memory loss. But the memory loss can come from different conditions and might be from Alzheimer's disease, or it might be from Parkinson's disease, or it might be from a stroke, or it might be from COVID nineteen or lime disease, might be from a concussion. These can all cause dementia. These can all cause memory loss. Alzheimer's is a specific condition when we have these beta amyloid blacks that are like these little sticky glue substances attached to our

brain cells, preventing them from connecting properly. That's the best way to diagnose Alzheimer's disease. But the only way to find these beta amyloid plaques is in autopsy. So it's really hard to diagnose someone with Alzheimer's disease before they die, and we could actually cut open their brain and we could see these plaques

that are building. And Parkinson's there's different types of proteins that accumulate, you know, and multiple sclerosis is these you know, white areas that harden part of your brain, and strokers when you lose blood flow, and concussion is physical damage. So you know, there's all different types of ways that can result in dementia. Now we have these COVID long haulers, you know, that's the that's the virus attacking the brain. People have lime brain lime disease,

which is the bacteria attacking the brain. But it's all the same. When these areas attack the brain. Now you're disconnected. Now you can't think, you can't remember, you can't focus, you're confused. Your brain is disconnected. Now, if we think very simplistically, and that's what we have to do, we gotta dumb it down. If the problem is there's less

connections, the solution is to create more connections. That process is called neuroplasticity, where you could rewire your brain and you could create more connections between the left side of the brain with the right side of the brain, between the frontal cortex and the temporal coretext between the cerebellum and the brain stem. The more connections the better. When they analyzed Einstein's brain after he passed, what they found was that he had less neurons than the average human. He had

less total neurons, but he had more connections. That's the key, is the connections. When your brain has more connections, then you start functioning at a higher level. You need these backups, these collaterals, so that even when when you do something wrong that damages or decreases the brain signals, you have all these backups. These collaterals increase connections that are there and strong, so that it doesn't affect you. There's no symptoms, there's no problems.

You don't get anxiety, you don't get depression, you don't lose energy, you don't get headaches, you don't get dizziness, you don't have difficulties sleep or digestion, or hormonal or anger or aggression because your brain can handle the stress. That is when you know when your brain is functioning at a higher level. When things are going good. Okay, it's great, my memory is on point. I remember these people's names, I remember the places,

I remember the things. When things are going your way, it's easier for your brain to function in a higher level. But if your brain can function in a higher level when you're stressed, when you didn't sleep right, when you're sick, when you just got into a fight with a family member, when you didn't eat the right foods, if you could still stay strong, then you know your brain is functioning a higher level. Then you've created neuroplasticity.

Then you've created more segments, more synapses, more mitochondria, more synapses, more neurotransmitters, more oxygen and blood flowing. It can happen if you put the effort in the Brain's like a muscle. You use it or you lose it, So you got to strengthen it, just like you do exercise for your muscles, whether it's push ups or sit ups, or you know, running or biking or going to the gym or doing way you're exercising your

muscles. But who tells you to exercise your brain. Nobody. Your dentist tells you to brush your teeth, every day, and you do that every day. Right. Everybody knows to eat healthy, everybody knows to exercise, everybody knows you need to get good sleep and drink water. But nobody tells you to exercise your brain. That's one of the most important aspects that are

missing in modern healthcare. Nobody's taking care of their brain. Now. If you hit your head, yeah, they just check you in the hospital for bleeding because they're just trying to save your life. But if there's no internal bleeding, they just say rest. However, that is the worst advice you could give to someone who's just hit their head or had a concussion, is

rest. Then the brain will become weaker and weaker and weaker. What if you injured your muscle and they told you up, just sit on the couch and you'll get better. No, that doesn't work. Sitting on the couch will make your muscles weaker. What do they say. They say, go do physical therapy. Go strengthen your muscles. Do some stretching, do a hot pack, do electrical stimulation, get on the bike, do some weight lifting, Go do your physical therapy. They want you to strengthen those muscles.

If it's injured, if you don't do any anything, the muscle atrophies and it becomes weak. The same thing is true for your brain. If you have a brain injury and you sit at home and do nothing, then your brain's gonna atrophy. Your brain can atrophy just like a muscle. So what you do is you have to strengthen your brain. Now, you can't

overdo it and exceed your metabolic capacity and create more symptoms. So some people that we see with concussion traumatic brain injury have told me about in their past where they tried to do too much and that made their symptoms worse. So it's an art. We don't want to underdo it, but we don't want to overdo it. So we need to strengthen our brain, but not in such a way where where it overstimulates it. Just like you can't go to

the gym and start bench pressing four hundred pounds. You've got to start with forty pounds, and then fifty pounds and then sixty pounds and you gradually increase. But you can't go straight to four hundred pounds or you're gonna get injured. So your brain needs stimulation just like your muscle needs stimulation. So what I do as a function neurologist, and we have offices in New Jersey and New York. What we do is sort of like physical therapy, but for

the brain. So we figure out what areas of the brain are not functioning at optimal levels, where the disconnection is, and then give the patients therapeutic exercises that they're going to do in the office to rewire their brain to create more connections and more synapses to function at a higher level. But we need to rehab the brain, and the first step is to figure out what areas

of the brain are not working. The best test to figure out what airs of the brain are not working, it's called a qEEG brain mapping, and that could literally tell us do you have problems with your memory? Do you have problems with short term memory, sequential memory, working memory, long term memory, immediate memory, because those are all represented in different parts of the

brain. Do you have problems with sleep? Do you have problems with energy, with motivation, with anger, aggression, with worry, with negative thoughts? Do you have depression? Do you have anxiety? Do you have a thyroid problem? Do you have an testinal problems? Do you have asecetycoline problem, a dopamine problem. Do you have sensory problem, eye problem, ear problem? Do you have trouble with shifting tests? Do you have trouble with

focus? Are you easily distracted? Do you have time management trouble? Do you have problem organizing, planning, understanding consequences of actions? Do you have balance problems? Do you are clumsy? Do you bump into things? Do you have light sensitivity? Do you have headaches and dizziness? This test breaks down everything for you. It's an amazing test because there's no radiation. You don't have to sit in some small tube. You don't have to get some

contrast fluid which could create other problems. It's called a q EEG brain mapping. It's normally five hundred dollars, but for the first seven people to call, text or email they can get this five hundred dollars qEEG brain mapping for only twenty one dollars. All you have to do is call six four six two two one, six seven three eight, or you can email info at Kaplanbrain and Body dot com. You are listening to boost your brain power.

We're talking about how this month is National Alzheimer's Disease Awareness Month, so we want to come up with ways to prevent Alzheimer's disease. Alzheimer's disease might be changing its name to diabetes type three. The reason is is because scientists and Researchers have found out that Alzheimer's disease is affecting the brain in a combination of

diabetes type one and diabetes type two. Diabetes type one is an autoimmune disease, and that's juvenile onset diabetes. And that's when the body attacks itself and it may attack the pancreas and affect the insulin, and then the patient might need to get shots. However, what if you get to the root cause of the autoimmune disease and what if you averse it by getting the immune system to calm down. Now, most doctors will give immunosuppressants to calm down an

overactive immune system. It will give a medication to cover up the symptoms of the disease, whether it's insulin for diabetes or know thyroid medication for hashimotos or graves. However, I will leave as a functional doctor. It's better to get to the root cause of the problem rather than treat it with medication just to hide the symptoms. You don't want to just hide symptoms. You want to get a permanent solution. And why is the immune system overreacting? It

could be due to dietary problems. The most common autoimmune foods and autoimmune diseases. Not just diabetes type one or hashimotos or graves for the thyroid, but it could be silliac for the gut, could be psoriasis for the skin and nails. It could be chogrins for the dry eyes and dry skin. Could be rheumatoid arthritis for the it could be fibromyalgia pain all over. It could be multiple sclerosis, which attacks the brain. There's lupis, which causes a

butterfly rash on your face. There's all different types of autoimmune disease, but it's really just the label. What autoimmune disease is is the body overreacting, the immune system overreacting, the immune system fighting its own body. You don't want to fight yourself. That's no fun, that's no good, that's not healthy. So then you got to stop putting in foods or anything else that

could cause an overreaction. Coffee is a big one, alcohol, cigarettes, drugs, heavy metals, mold, and then the foods we eat, all the pesticides and the herbicides. If you don't buy organic preservatives, the food dies. The artificial sweeteners, they're gonna cause a trigger. They're gonna cause

your body to react. Plus the food that we eat, all the dairy products cheese, yogurt causes autoimmune disease, sour cream cream, cheese, creamy sauces, ice cream, pizza, milk, any dairy product that comes from the utter of the cow. Also bread products, oatmeal, bread, cereal, crackers, noodles, pasta, croissants, cookies, cakes, muffins, bagels, toasts, wraps. These all contain these wheat products which are highly

inflammatory and aggravate autoimmune disease. Corn also aggravates it. Stoy aggravates it. You have to avoid these foods if you want to avoid autoimmune disease, if you have diabetes type one, if you want to prevent Alzheimer's and dementia. Now what about diabetes type two? That usually is adult onset. However, it used to be senior citizens. It used to be people in their sixties and seventies would get it. Then people in their forties and fifties started getting

it, Then people twenties, in their thirties. Now we even have teenagers that are getting adult onset diabetes because they have so much sugar, so much bread and pasta and rice and potatoes all this candy and sugar and bread products and noodles and rice. It's too much. So we're getting little kids now that are getting diabetes type two autoimmune disease. When you have diabetes type one autoimmune disease and diabetes type two adult onset, that is going to greatly increase

your chances of getting Alzheimer's disease. So Alzheimer's disease is preventable, even if everyone in your family has. You just got to work harder. If you have a genetic predisposition, there's something called epigenetics. Epigenetics means is you have this genetic predisposition, but if you alter your environment, you turn off the bad gene. So your gene doesn't dictate your future. It just tells you

what areas. You gotta work a little bit harder, but you could turn off a bad gene and it begins if you have this bad Alheimer gene. Make sure you don't have diabetes, diabetes type one autoimmune disease, or diabetes type two adult onset. To check diabetes type two, we look at your blood work, look at your fasting glucose. You want that under one hundred. Most doctors want it under one hundred twenty six. But if you're under if you're over one hundred, that means you're already at risk. And if

you're at risk for diabetes, that's not good. You get neuropathy, burning in your feet, especially at night, and get visual problems, even blindness. Your nerves can get so bad you might need to get amputated, and it makes you more prone to many other conditions such as obesity, heart disease, even co ovid. Nineteen people who had diabetes got it the worst. So not only do you want to look at your fasting glucose and make sure that's under one hundred, but you'll got to you also have to look at

what's called hemoglobin A one c in your blood work. If you look at your blood work, you should always get hemoglobin a one c checked. That checks you for diabetes, and it checks you over the last three months, so it's a good average, so it can't be you know, fooled after and in a row of bad eating. So you want to check your Most doctors want it under six. I like it under five point seven. So you want your fasting glucose under hundred. And fasting means you can't eat.

You could eat the night before you do the blood work, but not the day off, and you want it under one hundred that's good blood work. And then you want your hemoglobin A one C under five point seven the last three months. Making sure you're keeping your sugar down, your fried foods, your potatoes, your bread products, your rice and noodles, all that stuff. Keep it down as cereals the crackers, and then your hemoglobein A one C will go down. You'll feel better, you'll function better, and you'll

live a better life. Plus you'll prevent dementia and Alzheimer's. It's one of the easiest ways to prevent dimension in Alzheimer's is to keep your diabetes numbers in check. Now what else do you have to keep it check? Your cholesterol numbers. You know why because statin drugs cause dementia. Many statin drugs, those are the drugs you get prescribed if you have high cholesterol. They actually

cause brain problems, they cause joint pain, and they cause dementia. The most prescribed drug is lipitore and lipidour has been linked to dementia, and it's literally the most prescribed drug. So it's like we're causing our own diseases through side effects of the medications. Sometimes the cure is worse than the condition. So if you have high cholesterol, don't look into taking lipitour as a primary way to combat high cholesterol. Why don't you look at your nutrition, look

at your exercise, then look at the ratio. The worst foods are dairy products. Those are going to cause the highest cholesterol. A lot of cheese, pizza, ice cream, milk, creamy sauces, creamy dressing. That's gonna increase your cholesterol big time. Slabber, butter all over everything, no good. A lot of bread products that's gonna increase your cholesterol. You know, if you eat sandwiches all the time, cured meat sandwiches with cheese and

bread, no good for your cholesterol. Fried foods no good for your cholesterol. A lot of the fatty red meat. You're gonna have meat, make sure it's lean, make sure it's organic, make sure it's grass fed, make sure it's free roaming. Make sure it's raising good conditions that's not separated from its family. That will reduce your cholesterol. Then you don't have to take the statins. Then you dementia and Alzheimer's an ounce of prevention is worth

a pound of cure. This is doctor Eric Kaplan. You're listening to boost your brain power more when we come back from the break. I'm your host, doctor Eric Kaplan, we're talking about how to boost your brain power to prevent dementia and Alzheimer's. One of the biggest causes of dementia is statin drugs. They actually lead

to dementia. So one of the ways to prevent dementia is to make sure you keep your cholesterol levels normal. All right, If you have high cholesterol, then they're going to put you on these statin drugs, and that could lead to dementia. You know, there's lots of things that could cause to men. Most of the time, it's basically like a weak muscle, right, If you don't use your muscle, your muscle atrophies, it becomes weak.

If you don't use your brain, and your brain becomes weak. You know, when I was growing up, everybody knew at least fifty to one hundred phone numbers. You memorized it. You know, when we had to use a map to find our directions, we had to use a piece of paper to add things up. You know, everything wasn't at the fingertips with our cell phone. You know, we had encyclopedias, not Google. You know, we had dictionaries, not spell Check, So you had to work

for it. You had to use your brain. When you were trying to think of something, you couldn't just go on the internet and look it up. You actually had to use your brain. But nobody uses their brain anymore because we have the technology, and it's worse and worse as the years go on. We rely on the technology more and more. It's called digital dementia. The TVs, computers, iPads, cell phones are all making us stupid. So you have to unplug. If you want to get your brain strong,

you have to unplug. The most important thing for your brain is novelty, doing new things. If you want to prevent dementia or Alzheimer's, or you want to reduce depression or anxiety, start doing new things. Continue the stuff that you love to do, so have fun, but keep adding new things. You have to learn new art, so learn how to draw, learn how to sew, learn how to sculpt, learn how to paint, learn how to crochet, learn how to sing, learn how to play a

musical instrument, learn how to dance, learn how to act. You got to keep doing new things and have fun with it. You know, one of my favorite dates with my wife is when we did tango lessons. You know, we got out of the house. We're sociable. We met all these other people. It was fun. We were getting exercise, we were using our brains because we had to memorize all the steps. We were just

laughing. I mean, learn something new. You know, my wife she does the it goes down with their girlfriends, and she did an art class and she came home. I'm like, oh, wow, you're pretty good artists. I've never seen her do that, you know, so she said something new. We always got to keep doing new things. And if you can combine it with activity even better. You know, get a ping pong table and start playing ping pong, start playing pickleball, go outside and shoot

the basketball. There's so many fun activities. Go hiking, go biking, go swimming, and go boating, do gardening. Just get out of the house and do something fun. And I don't care if it's cold, you put on a hat, you put on a gloves, get outside. I don't care. If it's hot, went on a tank top, went on some shorts. I don't care. If it's raining, get a raincoat, orn umbrella. But get out of the house. Unplug. The worst thing

for your brain is being on the computer all day. Come home, eat dinner, watch TV, go to bed, computer dinner, TV bed. That's the worst thing you could do. And I can't tell you how many people do that every single day of their life. Computer eat TV, sleep, Computer eat TV sleep. You want dementia, there's your recipe. Sitting down all day, eating, late at night, watching TV. Your brain will just get worse and worse and worse. Especially if you're watching TV night,

especially if you're watching the news at night. Then you're gonna be all stressed out. Cortisol levels are gonna increase. You're not gonna get a good deep sleep. You're not gonna reoxygenate. You're not gonna be in that rest and digest. You're gonna be in that beer mode. You're gonna need that cup of coffee in the morning. That's gonna create more stress, more anxiety, more worry, more panic, more fear. We gotta get you out of that fight or flight mode into a calm, relax state. Most people

are in stress mode. It's not good. We need to relax. To get outside. Gotta be in nature. Gotta see the sun, gotta breed the oxygen, Gotta see the trees and the animals and hear the birds chirping. Our brains need to be in nature. One of the best things you could do for your brain is called grounding or earth thing. It's when you take off your shoes and socks and you put your feet in the grass or the dirt or the sand. You feel the earth, hug that tree,

feel the trees, be in nature, smell those flowers. There's a reason people hug trees and smell flowers and walk barefoot. It's therapeutic for the brain. But if you're inside on the computer all day, you're not gonna be doing those activities. You're not gonna be in nature. You're not gonna get your sunlight, you're not gonna get your vitamin D, you're not gonna get your oxygen from the trees and the plants. You gotta get outside. That's

the way our bodies are meant to be. And yes, when you gotta go to sleep, go inside, all right. I mean, obviously you can sleep outside. You could do camping and stuff, but it's so important to be outside in the sun. That dictates your hormones. Your hormones have different levels throughout the day, and if you're inside all day, your brain

can't figure it out when it's appropriate. For example, in the morning, your testosterone and cortisol levels should be highest, but your brain might not realize that. So what it has to do is get outside. So what you want to do is walk outside during sunrise. If you walk outside during sunrise, your brain will see the sun rise. Now it knows, Okay, it's time for cortisol, it's time for testosterone. I'm going to boost your

energy. If you do this process for twenty one straight days, where you go outside during sun rise, your brain will start to release the hormones at the appropriate time. And guess what. Now you're gonna have energy in the morning. Now you're not gonna need coffee in the morning. Now you're not gonna be all groggy. Now you're not gonna want to press the snooze alarm because you've rewired your brain. That's called neuroplasticity. But if you're inside,

your brain can't see the sun rise. Now at the end of the day, you want to go outside during sunset. Now the brain says it's time to relax. Let me decrease cortisol, let me increase melatonin. So let my brain start to chill and relax. So I could get in those delta waves deep sleeprim patterns. Many people go to bed at night, but they're not in that deep sleep, and that's why they wake up groggy and need

a cup of coffee. Every morning. You should wake up with energy, ready to conquer the day, high energy, high vibrancy, high passion, good mood. If you're waking up in a bad mood, low energy, cranky, you need you a cup of coffee. There's something wrong with your brain. You're not getting your deep sleep. You're not releasing the hormones at the appropriate time. So a nice, easy, little brain hack that they've been doing for thousands of years is watching the sun rise and watching the sun

set. If it's nine o'clock at night, you're eating at night, you're snacking, you're watching tea, the lights are on. Your brain is very confused. It thinks it's the middle of the day where you need energy, and then you're gonna go to bed. You might be in bed, but you're not gonna get that deep sleep. You're not gonna reoxygenate and regenerate.

So the best way to increase brain function to prevent dementia in Alllzheimer's is to walk outside during sunrise, walk outside during sunset, and if you can during sunset, do something active and new and learn new things and no novelty. That's gonna make your brain even stronger. So you wanna combine. Let me see the sun go down, let me get some exercise, let me be some social, let me get some oxygen. Then your brain's really functioning at

a high level. But you don't want to be at home nine o'clock eating, watching TV. The lights are on. The brain thinks cortisol needs to be high and get you ready. However, we want cortisol low. So eating at night, no good electronics at night, no good lights on all the time at night. No good. Very bad for your brain function because it's going to stimulate the brain when we want to relax it. This is

We're talking about prevention of dementia and Alzheimer's. November's Alzheimer's Disease Awareness Month. We want to prevent you from getting Alzheimer's. Unfortunately, when I was younger, I witnessed my grandma and Dottie dying from Alzheimer's over about ten to twenty years. It was very sad, and it all started when she moved down

to Florida. You know, my family's from Brooklyn, so we always used to, you know, hang out in Brooklyn. She was such a great cook. She would always go dancing, and she played tennis and she had her group of friends. She was very social. She was always playing cards, and she always looked so beautiful and so funny and had always the you know, everyone loved my grandma daddy. But then they moved to Florida to

retire. My grandpa retired. He was in the clothing business. And then when they went down to Florida, you know, they didn't have friends, they didn't have activities, and their brain deteriorated. So my grandma should just sat on the couch watching TV all day. And every year her brain got worse and worse. You know, first it would just you know, she lost her car keys, you know, then she forgot somebody's name once in a while. That's how it started. She goes into the kitchen, Hey

what was I doing in here? And she stopped caring about her looks. Stop putting on makeup and dressing up, stop cooking, become more lazy and more lazy, stop doing activities, and her short term memory went and her long term memory went, and she needed to be in a wheelchair and a diaper. She was miserable last ten years of her life. She literally wanted to die. She's just like every time I visit her just killed me. I want to die. It was very sad. She hated her life because

she was unhealthy. You might live a long life, but you don't want it to be a poor quality of life. A lot of people say, I want to enjoy my life now, but don't you want to enjoy your life when you're older too. You don't want to abuse your body when you're younger, and then you can't enjoy your life when you're older. Those are the golden years. That's the time to enjoy life. Spend time with your kids, grandkids. Would you retire, You go on vacations, and you

want to be active. If you're on a diaper in a wheelchair, you can't have fun. So you need to do the right things now. You need to eat healthy and exercise and go to bed early, drink water and have a stress free life, and be social. Get out of the house and unplug from all this social media. Turn off the news. You need to be in the real world, especially with AI now, you don't even

know what's real. So when you're watching the news, or you're watching TV, or you're on the computer and social media and watching these videos on YouTube, Facebook and Instagram, we don't even know what's real at this point. So just unplug. Be around real people, real relationships, real activities. Do stuff that you could touch and smell and hear, not these flat screens. That is a recipe for your brain to deteriorate. If you want to

get dementia, be on the computer and your cell phone all day. If you want to get your brain strong, you got to unplug and get out of the house. Novelty, doing new things. That's the number one most important thing. Meet new people, do new activities, go to new places, try new pathways, new roots, new jobs, new hobbies. Change it up, new languages, new instruments, new books. You got to change it up. The second most important thing is oxygen. You need to

increase your oxygen levels. That's why I said get outside. Get oxygen. You know, do breathing exercises where you inhale for four seconds, hold it for seven seconds, exhale for eight seconds. Get some plants. Get some snake plants, spider plants, alovera plants, money plants, go out in the woods, go hiking, go to the beach, get that ocean water, get that salt air. We need to breathe. You need to breathe from your diaphragm. When you inhale, push your diaphragm down and out like

you're a pregnant woman. When you exhale, suck it in to squeeze out all that carbon dioxide. Get rid of the toxins. And the third thing that's super important is action activity activation. You gotta challenge your brain. You gotta, you know, memorize people's phone numbers on purpose, memorize your grocery list, memorize the directions. Don't use the technology so much. Start to challenge your brain. Just doing a crossword puzzle, but actually, you know,

moving your body. You know, you can do one of my favorite exercises called the crosscrawl exercise. So you march in place, and what you do is you tap your opposite leg, meaning you take your right hand and tap your left leg as you march in place, and then take your left hand and tap your right leg, so you cross over, and each time you tap your leg, you come up with a mental exercise and you say, today, I'm gonna name all different fruits. Tomorrow I'm gonna name colors,

and then the next day I'm gonna name countries. And the day after that, I'm gonna name presidents, and the day after that, I'm gonna name girls' names. And the day after that, I'm gonna do types of clothes, and the day after that, I'm gonna do different body parts. You know, every day you come up with a new category and you do this crosscrawl exercise for a minimum of thirty seconds, trying to get at least fifteen of EA category. That while you're working your brain, you're moving your

body, you're challenging it. So you got to challenge your brain. Another good brain challenge you can try this is you take your left leg draw clockwise circles in the air and you keep doing it over and over and over again and without stopping. At the same time, take your left hand and draw the number six in the air. That's a very challenging exercise, but that's gonna make your brain stronger. Now, those are just general exercises. The key, though, is to be specific, and the way to be specific

is to do a proper brain analysis. One of the best brain analysis is called a VNG video nostography. This is a test where you wear these infrared goggles and you follow this red light and it goes fast and slow, and up and down and left and right, and it goes, you know, with head turns and with lights, and so it's measuring all these different brain functions and it tells us, you know, which side of your brain is working. Is it your right brain, right brain that's deficient. Is it

your left brain that's ficient. Is it the right brain's overactive or the left brain is overactive. So that's why the VNG is great. It tells us the imbalances from left to right, and it also tells which is overactive and which is underactive. So if somebody has anxiety, we might need to calm down their nervous system in a certain area the right side of the left side.

Someone has depression, we might need to increase certain activity. You know, people have focused problems, we might have to do these eye exercises. If they have dementia, we might have to do memory exercises. If they have low energy, we might have to do oxygen therapy. If they have pain, we might have to do laser therapy. So everybody, you got

to be very specific. So the VNG is very specific to find out which areas of the brain aren't functioning well and that could determine why are we having headaches or dizzyness, or why you can't sleep, or why you have troubles with getting distracted, or why you have low energy, or why you have memory problems, so that the VNG is really good for that. It's normally

five hundred dollars, but there's a special gift to my listeners. The first seven people to call text or email can get the entire test for only twenty one dollars. The number is six four six two two one, six seven three eight, or you can email infel at kaplanbraininbody dot com. The other test that I would recommend is a one on test with me. So that's where you meet with me one on one and we go over your past tests. We go over your blood work, we go over your history, we

go over your goals, and then we check everything. We check your brain, check your heart, check your gut, your lungs, we check your posture, your alignment, you check your memory, your balance, and it's quite involved. It takes about forty five minutes. That test is also normally five hundred dollars, but for the first seven people to call, text or email you can get the one on one with me when I come up with a diagnosis, as well as treatment recommendations that do not include any drugs or

surgery, electric shock therapy, any injections. My solutions are always holistic, integrative, they're natural. There's stuff that you could do at home. They're not expensive. You don't need all this fancy equipment, but you got to do the work. So I'm not the doctor that writes you a prescription and say here, just take this pill, take this herb, take this supplement that's going to fix everything for you. That's not the doctor I am.

So if you're looking for a quick, easy fix and you just want to pill or a supplement, don't come to me. But if you want to get to the root cause of your problem, and you want to fix it yourself, and you want to rewire your brain through neuroplastics, and you want to figure out how I can help my self, so I don't need drugs, doctors, surgeries, all these tests. If you want to get to the root cause and not just a band aid and cover up symptoms, you'd

want to do the one on one evaluation with me. It's normally five hundred dollars, but for the first seven people that call text or email. You can get the one on one with me as well for only twenty one dollars.
