Episode description

Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor is a Harvard trained and published neuroanatomist who is affiliated with the DePaul University School of Education. In 1996, Dr. Taylor experienced a major hemorrhage in the left hemisphere of her brain causing her to lose the ability to walk, talk, read, write or recall any of her life. It took eight years for her to completely recover. In 2008 her memoir My Stroke of Insight spent 63 weeks on the New York Times bestseller list, and her TED talk was the first to go viral. In 2021, Whole Brain Living was published.
