Preparing Seniors for Emergencies and Disasters

Indigo Perry is the program director for Emergency Prep Help emergencyprephelp.org, a nonprofit that helps seniors prepare for emergencies and natural disasters. She has 30 years of experience in emergency preparedness and was burned out in a devastating wildfire in 2015. She returned to the area 18 months later and became a disaster case manager to help my community recover. That's where she saw the anxiety that seniors were experiencing, wondering when the next disaster would hit, and how they should prepare.
