A Doctor’s Guide for Navigating the Hospital

Monique S. Nugent, MD, MPH, is a practicing hospitalist and physician leader. She completed her medical school and residency training at Loma Linda School of Medicine and her MPH from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Nugent has built her medical career around hospital-based care to include leadership and advocacy work, advocating for every patient by working to make health care equitable, safe, and high quality. She has also written the book, “Prescription for Admission,” a Doctor’s Guide for Navigating the Hospital, Advocating for Yourself and Having a Better Hospitalization.
