Gowri Murthy is a yogini and a classical dancer based out of Bangalore, India. She is trained in Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi and has performed at many festivals such as the Khajuraho festival and Nimapada festival. She spends most of her time teaching online Yoga and specialises in teaching Creative Vinyasa Yoga, Hatha Yoga and Power Yoga. She has recently picked up hula hooping and nunchucks. Her devotion for movement and it's therapeutic effects stems from her message 'Yoga is a path to mental peace'. On this episode she throws some light on how movement can help align mind and body, embracing yoga both on and off the mat, the different kinds of yoga, how a beginner could find their right kind of yoga, and importance of breathing right.
