All right, welcome to episode forty eight to the Bobby Cast, which we never do in our actual radio studios. But we are all up here really early in the morning, this morning before Friday show. Uh, for this one reason. So everybody's here. Hello, everybody, Hello, something cool. I've already done one, but lunch Box hasn't. Don't want Amy's done one.
But it's not the same like the reason we're doing in the studios because we're all I don't have enough microphones to do what I want to talk about in my house. Okay, so we all have our own microphones right now. We don't do this from hang and they're not gold. Well only Mind's gold. And a listener sent me that microphone. I didn't know that. Mike d showed up, who produces it, and he was like, hey, I got your goal microphone, and he took credit for it. For
like six he has never said anything. He was like, I get you new microphone. I don't know the listener who sent the gold microphone into the Bobby Cast. So here's the thing. It's always a behind the scenes look at the show or behind the scenes looking Nashville. What I thought before we go on the air, here and about we're going here in like thirty minutes. It won't
be that long. Is that we all say what we do in the morning before we go on the air, because I think people wonder what happens before we go on the show. So and I'll leave this and give you guys time to make up a story in your head. Whatever you want to say that you do, Okay, make it up you not so much, because I know what you and I do. We know what we do. We do this, Okay, I've having thoughts. So I like up at three, and I turned to TV on immediately, and
I start watching the news and whatever. I just take a note. I'll read that we have a page everybody puts new stories on. And if how many, if if twenty news stories are put up by you guys, how many do I say? Do you think I use a day? Just half of one? I would have said, like three, I was gonna say three of mine? No, No, you always start keeping tellies? Do you keep telling we? Sometimes you may be pulling it from something else. Sometimes you guys don't. You guys don't read each other's and you
post the same story. Sometimes I'll go three times at one time, but it's a shared file. So when that happens, and I don't tell him this, I just delete them for him. You delete their stories to look but no, no, no, no, if you come in, because so what it is for the listeners to a shared document. We can all log into this Google doc and if you have a story and someone's already posted, do you delete theirs and put
yours out? No? No, I'm always the last one on there, and so I'll see doubles and I'll be like, okay, the first person. That's nice. So I'm like, Morgan, don't be dumb. I'll delete hers. But here's the thing. The thing sometimes though, people are cheating, but there's at the top.
And I noticed because when all the time when I'm on live, I can watch live because sometimes not an iby at the same time, and we'll just start talking to each other, and like it's like almost as a messenger service too, And I'll see people posting on top of other people stories like they got there first. What's the point of that? Though, I'll tell you why I do it sometimes, but you can't, especially now that Eddie delete not at all. I don't put any of the
same stories. It's just the way you guys format. It drives me nuts. You guys put so much space in between each line and paragraph, and so then one story takes up a whole page, and I can't handle that. Needs the text to be really I can't see. I put it on the eight team, But you guys haven't like double space every line, and I can't take it. So I just put mine at the top, and I make sure I haven't copied any stories, because you will never ever see a double on mine. Alright, I what's up?
I feel all the time doubling it. So that's what I'll wake up in the morning, and I'll read this entire news. I'll read all the news sites first, because I'll go CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, Drudge Report, Um, I'll read. I don't read many of the pop sugar sites anymore, which is why I don't know about Black China. I don't read that step anymore. Press Hilton, I don't any of I usually all that stuff, I don't read that
as much more. But so I do all that, and then I read all the crazy news that you guys I read uffing to post, you know, I read all of the good stuff. I go I'll scroll TMZ real quick, real quick, real quick comes. It's hard to be real quick there because they put a lot of stuff up there. And so get ready to come in right And so Amy and I set him office about an hour before the show starts, and we have I walk in and I have a stack of liners for every city to do.
It's like, hey, it's two pages for Colorado Springs, and then it's a page for Sacramento. Then it's two pages for Vegas and three pages for Tampa. And so I do all the liners. It's like, hey, it's my bones. You're listening on us one or three five years. What's happening? That probably takes thirty to forty minutes every morning. Pittsburgh senses a lot. We read the weather in Pittsburgh more than any I've ever read the weather in any city I've ever lived in. They like lots of versions of
their weather. I mean they want to say high forty seven and then went to say forty seven high. So okay, fine, we do all that. Then Amy and I will record the country minute it goes out to all the affiliates, and then how long does that take? Not very long? But Amy never has their skinny ready when we start, ever, and I sometimes you get it. I'm like, come on, you have the skinny ready, like come have to record and send it out to a version that just affiliates
getting run later in the day. And I'm like that would mean for her to do it like maybe at home, yes, but then she always gets mad at me for going the stories are just now breaking. What what do you say? I get mad at no, no, no, no, don't even start with me about when I should do it or when I I have it. Sometimes it's a matter of what you're gonna like. Sometimes I'll start doing and you're like, that's not a good story. Okay, well that's one of
the only country stories is out there. And then you're like, well what about this? What about this? What about this? I'm like, okay, well I didn't think that that was interesting. But if you do, let's go with it because you know what people like. And then what then what do you need the skinny? The time we record the skinny though used to it used to be later earlier, and
so I've been getting better, Okay. I also build when I'm there your early morning new sheet which you use, and I give it to you and sometimes I give it to you and you're like, you haven't given me that sheet yet, and I'm like, Bobby, I gave it to you yesterday. She said she did, and I did, and she goes on your on your board walking to the show, wasn't it under four pers I did not put it on the papers, I didn't walk to the morning. Don't mess with my alur that I'm in there with you.
Please do not even criticize me one nobody's this is open for um. Am I criticizing her? Or we just know we're just describing the day. And I thought, just hold on, let me go to some fan balance lunch. How do you do a version of creative writing? He's describing in details so everybody can get a mental picture of what is going on. And you are getting to have your point. I'm coming around to you in a minute. I'm coming on this. This creative visual you just for people,
was that I don't have my stuff together. You just said, Amy never has the skinny reading. I said, what about is when you get here early, it's not ready, and you're like, it's not ready doing other things and I never said you weren't. Okay, let's go to fair and balance. I don't know what is getting so I know I'm not silly, like just nothing to you didn't say but he said, you do a great job when you have the skinny but and then we have to do a tease.
Not very good. Go ahead, just because you are see right, she's playing the victim card right now. She's talking in that tone of voice too that she does sometimes whenever Amy goes into no I need smile emotion momo, that's victim tone and she does that sometimes. Esus tell people, tell people I don't know how to tease things. You do know how to tea. And then I'll come up with the teas and Bobby's like, that's not good. No, ray what happens? Then't you go, hey, what's the teeth
for this? She'll say, what's And I'll say this, and that's really good? It is He's Bobby is gifted at tea. She's she's painting me to be this not by the way, I'm grumpy is crap for the first hour. I look at you. Let's talk about that. You get your turn, You get your turn. Beaded like she's writing notes, She's drawn a ben diagram. Listen, all I'm saying is we get here, we work for our recording to tell you about and I say, when you can't, that's fine, Oh sorry,
now you can do it. All I'm saying is the only irrit any thing about Amy. And she doesn't have her skinny ready. And now she's agreeing with me, which she wasn't about. Um. Other than that, I just read, I just cut liners when we come and we do the show. But other than that, that hour with me is amazing. Oh it's fantastic. Yeah, And then we talk about life and stuff. But like I don't come in, there's no small small talk. That's what I'm saying. There's none.
So can I share with you my point on that because I felt same way about small talk that I do hugs. If you see somebody all the time, there's no need to do it every time, you know. But we're getting better about saying good morning at least I see Amy. Amy's more favorite people in the whole world. Like if there was a gold medal stand like Olympic Gold Silver, she'd be on that stand in one of the three spots. I don't feel like I gotta walk
in and go. And I'm about to also also, you don't gonna I'm about to hear about a day on the air, so I don't want to know about it. You don't want to ruin that point. We have this too where we don't talk about things because we don't want and if something comes up and go stop talking about that. So sometimes I don't want to know what Amy has to say until we get in the room. And sometimes you can walk in and just sniff right
away might be a message I know immediately. So he walks in and he's like everything okay, and I just start crying, like right now for example, time for that she is, so she's like cranky at me right now because something's going on. And I can tell it's not with you, but I know, but I can tell you something's going on in yes, like all that crankiness just happened with you attacking me talk about I tacked about the skinny. But but I'm telling you, I can tell
them there's something in life. And I back off and I back up for the whole show. And then I go like pick on lunchbox or something because I because there's no um I gotta do talking about this for a second. Blue Apron lunchbox. Do you talk about bue Apron, I'll talking about Blue Apron. You go online, it comes right to your house and you get like you can order three meals and six meals and they deliver it fresh. All the ingredients you need, Like you got cinnamon, you
need a quarter of a cup. They give you a quarter of a cup so you don't have to waste a whole twenty dollars going to the store and buying a big old thing of cinnamon you'll never use. What kind of meals do you have? Oh? You got you can get all vegetarian. You can get fish, meat, chicken, uh, anything, tacos. They come to your house. Uh, they deliver it right to your front porch. You pick the day you want to deliver boom right there. I get it too. It's
always on my counter in my house. Was so good. And I always talk about how Lunchbox because I'm it loves them. Listen right now. Less than ten dollars per person per meal. Blue Apron deliver seasonal recipes and again you make them at home and you tell it this week's menu. You get first three meals for free with free shipping. Blue Apron dot Com slash Bobby Cast, Blue Apron dot Com slash Bobby Cast. Do you get yours for free? Lunch Box? No, you don't know. I do.
I I get that, but I do that like I could probably work that. I didn't know that that would be awesome because like I did, for a little bit, you did and then it stopped. But let me tell you, I love it because I don't know how to cook and it takes you step by step by step and it's just really carrots boom. Put the onions over here, boom, Min's of the garlic boom. And I tried things that I would never try in my life and I don't even know what they are, and I'm like, man, that's
really good. Check out this week's menu again. Three meals for free with free shipping, Blue Apron dot Com slash Bobby Cast. To get the deal with Bobby Hey, miked send this to Blue Apron Okay, because they're gonna love Lunchbox talking about this like he pays passionate about it. He's paying for it too, Blue Apron dot Com slash Bobby Cast. Okay, round the room, um amy, Yeah, I would just like to say that in no way it was I supposed to be, and I felt like you
got conversational on me for no reason. Sorry, I backed down and you got into victim tone and then it starts to make me feel like a bad person. But I can always saw somethings up. So you don't talk about that. No I don't because I don't know. But no, I don't. I feel like, you know, I hate something going on and you're feeling good. I feel like you made me look bad. They're okay, So how do you guys? Fair and balanced lunchbox? Yeah, you were a little aggressive, Okay,
if I got defensive. If I got defensive, I'm sorry, just trying to be honest. I felt like, yeah, the first thing you mentioned about me being in there was that I didn't have my stuff together, and I'm like, whoa, I'm in there working like I'm with you. I'm what are you doing stuff in the morning? What do you do well? Sometimes I really like when we say good morning, it really sets the tone when you walk in the room, and sometimes we don't. Don't think good morning, not every time.
What's my percentage you think of saying good morning? Ray would have to back me up. I don't know to two to three out of the five days to on average, it's not bad. You should say good morning five out of five. I'm not a good morning. I don't even act like I do small anything. I know, no small talk. Like if I say it, it comes from my heart and that's all I say. I know, And we're tired. It's like the start. I get it. I'm terribly sleepy. Yeah, okay, hey,
good morning, good morning. Here we go. You can say it to me and I would say it back. Okay, how about that? No, sometimes I do, and then I don't know if you don't hear me. But I know you're in like work mode and then you turn the headphones on and then you're just working, and then I'm working. We're both doing things and then we're running around and so, but sometimes exchange sometimes just be a little bit short.
And it's business. I get it. It's business like you're in business mode and I've just never really been a business mode. Yeah, but I'm like emotional about it. So then sometimes you'll be business and you'll leave the room to go do something and I'll look at Ray and I'll be like, I don't know, I'm like what crawled in his wheaties today or something we make like little some comments like that, you guys say, crawling the wheaties. I don't know what I say something like something, But
but it's work. It's work mode. It's work mode. And sometimes I'm sensitive and it's just you and me and then we come in here sometimes if we have to like do certain things in here, and like they're just like googing off. Oh yeah, we're working hard. All these guys, they're just screwing around. You're right about that at a bunch of screw and the bust in our buttons, lunch box and your playing nerve nerve basketball or are you going to bet on today? That's true that it's only
on Thursday morning. So this is the only thing you guys, And I say this like with all whatever, it's fine. I know you have a certain time you have to be here. I don't come in happen hour after we do, right, So I don't know if you'll ever like there's certain things we're doing in there that sometimes take a little bit a research, Like if you'll ever want to research and then throw it our way like to be great, I mean, look, hold on, thank you, Amy. That's all
it's just easy. It's just you're right. I'm in like work mode with like beasts mode over here Bobby, who's like business that's funny and weird, and I don't know if that's good or not. Go ahead, I am Bobby. And then I got here and it's like everyone's like chilling, like what it's a good morning. And I'm like, your day just gets started earlier than theirs because you're in there with me, and it doesn't matter Amy if I have an hour or ninety minutes. Right, do we ever
have time to finish everything? No? We come close, sometimes we come we never do. It's always a rush, like six commercial six six commercial. So I feel like in that window when I'm with you, there's a there's two different worlds in the studio. There's our world, which is like Beast Moode Bobby, and then I come into lalla in world and I'm like, I want to play what up? Guys?
It's definitely chucky cheese you want to I mean, look, okay, so you're in their recording spots and you're recording all this stuff, but hey, you want to give me your paycheck, I'll trade spots with Eddie or not because you make more than they do. Take your job. Yeah, because it's all relative. Because that's what I'm saying, like the level of work. Would you take Eddie it switched with him to swap with you right now? No, because job is not funny when the others complain about him working. I'm
not complaining on trucks. I didn't ask you to get here thirty minutes earlier. When we do, I didn't say any of that. I said, wow, you're here, and you have to be here, maybe just like throw some throw some bones. But but you know what, that's probably on me for not saying, hey, I could use this help, or on Morgan if we're going, hey, you guys can all you got producers for that. Producers were supposed to do they got not right, not right? You got two
other producers back there. Of a Sometimes I actually do have Mike help me, but Mike's already doing other things, so I feel bad. So I guess I'm asking. Am I allowed to ask for you? You're allowed to ask whatever you want, ask for whatever you want, but you don't have to say yes because I'm not your boss. But I'm just saying that's a good. That's A good thing is that we do come in here and it's like recess. Are we talking about our day? Yes? Like we just like it's like I've just spent an hour
in calculus and we come in and secondary having recess. Yes, some people, you're never going to use calculus. I don't know what you like an engineer with I mean, I'm pre calculus. What failed that? Smarks made a really good point you did. I'll back you up like I don't. I I am thankful for my job. I don't want anybody to be listening to this like we're complaining, because I feel like we have about each other and that's
fair to about each other. Yet everything everything relative. We can come about whatever we want in our world, so we don't. None of us think we have it bad, but we can find all we want with each other. I think it's lost on us that like, oh my gosh, listen to them. It's ast on lunchbox. Yes, he started screaming about pat uh No, she said, oh you know, you guys are in here, and she gets she gets annoyed with us because we're in here, but you can also how about this, Okay, you want to say, tray
pytcheck there. Okay, you think an it makes more money than you, Absolutely she does because he's But here's the thing. You can make more money than her. But she does like extra things too, like she does a podcast. Yeah, no, one's recruiting me for that. But now here's the thing. You could do things to make more money. I try, you know. But my point is if you got here earlier and had and we're like, hey, let me do this,
let me go do events like let me go. Oh no, I tried to do every time they ask you to do something like remote and stuffing because they get paid for No, but you have to do all this. There's there's a lot of investing time. Brooks a bit that I skipped the free concert. I went to an mc a little thing because we made you didn't get paid for that. Okay. My point is there was another one.
The Delaney Walker Foundation had an event. I was a last minute replacement someone that the bachelor guy what's his name? Wouldn't that when you say I would trade your the paychecks. Yeah, over a long period of time, Amy has showed up way earlier when you guys were making the same exact amount of money and and forever has and yes, don't even that. It's not even that much. It's a lot. It's it's enough to make a difference. I could tell the number you give the number, numbers, you put the
number side by side, I know which one was higher. Yeah, yeah, but it's really not a lot. Okay, I'm not saying okay, um, lunch box over to you. Yeah, I know what I do every morning. Man, wake up, but I love it. I wake up four o'clock. Oh you do? Yeah? Wow, I'm go ahead, go ahead, I wake up four o'clock, Jump up, grab my phone. Uh, and I go in the closet, turn on the little flashlight. Try to find
some boxers. So you don't wake your wife up. Uh. Well, she sets her alarm for three minutes after mind, just to make sure because she's nervous. I'm not gonna wake up, but I don't ever not wake up. And I go look on the ground trying to find the jeans and I'm gonna wear for the day. Grab those, Grab my shoes, grab a pair of socks, just randomly, grab a shirt out of the closet. Go in, take a shower, brush
the teeth, go downstairs, let the dogs out. Sit down, have a cup of water, eat a banana, talk to the dogs. Yeah, this is mostly like I wonder what you did, like a work, like at home, not like we don't we don't need to know. He got dry breaths from my pants on my floor. Okay, go ahead. So then like, what do you do in the morning for where you haven't let me? I'm cleared, my mind, it's ready. I'm like, all right, man, what what what?
What's gonna be on the show today? I'm gonna have to, you know, bring it, and so you never know what's gonna be on the exact class what I'm saying. I'm like, man, what's gonna what happened last night? And then to predict no one, I never tell anybody what's happening on the show,
so that you can everything can stay real. So I get to the get to work, and I park on the downstairs because there's two levels, and there's a kitty cat that lives down there, and I walked by it and send me out, say good morning to the cat, and yeah, come in the studio, set my computer up and check no emails, um, And so then I go and fill up my whole water bottle a little whatever
you call this. I see you over there sometimes yeah, and then I sit down here and we start the show, and then you Every time I walked by his computer before the show, he's like gambling or something. During the show, he's always on Facebook chatting with I don't I don't even know who's up there. I'm always like, who's talking to you? I got I got teacher friends that check in, like, oh, what's going on? I asked him. They got you know, tests going on, things like that. But that's usually what
I do before the show. It's interesting. Yeah, I do talk to anybody wants someone's I'm here first before? Are you? Guys like horse playing a boy the time? You know? And we always do the same joke every morning. There is that's kind of our good morning. Like see, we we like to keep it chipper. Mornings are hard. Let's come up with our own thing, Bobby, we do. Wait wait, so we say there he is and then ray, what do we say after that? Yeah? You know who likes
there he is? Nobody have this whole thing. No, No, they do. Every morning. It's a morning and then every morning it's lunch boxes. Like you want to get some water ready? And he's like yeah. And then I'm telling you why you guys are doing this and are killing ourselves trying to We're trying to We're trying to make two pages of copy get into sixty seconds. Oh, I forgot every couple of every couple of days. I'm like,
do you want me in that e m L? And I didn't even get to the early early show message. I got. We gotta think about the early show message. So I start plotting that out and start looking around at what we're gonna do. Am I gonna go in and bother Bobby and Amy? Probably not? They look grumpy. Still have the same conversation in here. I wonder what today is gonna be, Like, guys like a good mood. It's not gonna be a bad mood. So we talked
about that a little bit. Then we shoot the m L and then um, we just wait for you guys to come in. So you do give AWF a lot, No, and then I'm editing the mL. By that time, it's like bumpit bone show. It's right when the show is starting. I mean you got to get it in. Yeah, I mean, you guys just played grab but the whole time, No, guys, it's called easing your way into the morning. What's our ritual? You guys are like, it's range now. It used to be a poke in the gut, like the side and
it's kind of like that. It's like my good morning. And I'd be like, I hate that, and he's like, now and now he gives me massages. You have my shoulder with massage and it feels good, and they're like, oh, it feels good. And he tries to get a nod out of there, and I could use that it's good. I like it way bit in the pope. Yeah, so that's what we do. But that's it. I mean, then we crush it. Yeah, okay, just to say, Amy are
on the left side of the room. You guys on the right side of the room at the table, the left side of the rooms working hard two hours before the right side is Yeah, you guys definitely aren't living life right. You're going too hard too early. Okay, Okay. I think as in the middle, but I force her to go hard. Yeah, like it's like focus, it's time to work. I don't come. I mean, y'all, that's what I'm saying. I walk in him a little jealous, Like I'm like, I'm in between worlds. I'm like beest mode,
like hey, I want to play. Hey, guys, invite me to play. I want to play, like I want to be you guys. But then I'm like, gotta go. Okay, when you say it that way, it's a little bit nicer you say jealous because earlier, like earlier, I did say jealous earlier. I think it got lost in the mix. I just kind of sometimes I feel like when I walk in here, I'm like, see y'all playing, and like, oh, and I'm behind like five stories that Bobby needs for me, and I'm like, god'd be so awesome if they could
just like throw a bone. But there's also levels of responsibility on this show. The most I'm on the low level of the year. So okay of us in this room, Yeah, the show doesn't run unless I put the show. We need you and I have to be ready. There's no fallback for me. Right. We could probably get through one, though, don't you. A lot of shows come in and it doesn't matter who they are. But a lot of shows come in and their shows are prepared for them. Oh yeah,
they walk in and there's a whole. Oh yeah, that's normal. That's normal. That's normal. Doing this for eleven years, that's not normal. Normal is the host comes in and all the producers have made them a full show, and they walk in and maybe go one or two segments and go, hey, I like dud wanted to, but the whole shows made for them. And they talk about what the producers say. I wouldn't I wouldn't do that. Yeah, I wouldn't do that. I wouldn't trust our producers to pick what we should.
We don't have great producers, but I just would not let them put the show together. We trust you. We put a lot of trust you, and that's why we're here. So he trusts us. That's why we're here. It's a two way street. Right after years, I think I trust you to put the show together. We should test it out. Let me tell you what I'm amazed by. And this is something and I don't ever give Bobby compliments. He works hard. And I'm gonna tell you what I do not understand is how you know at what time a
segment will be good? Like that is what's crazy. Like I don't know how you decide you know what that should go at seven thirty blows my mind, like I just have no idea a lot of credit for knowing what people want to hear. But the timing thing, I feel like it's just like when people are listening, because there's certain hours that are more important because the time and more people are listening, and that's how he knows. But how does he know what story is going to
be good at that time? I'd like to laughing about this, but I would love to see her try it because she I don't think she'd picked stories for the right time. So here's the methodology I guess is that we're on in all time zones, so I've got to think about Eastern and Central because the West Coast runs the Central time zone show. Okay, if that makes sense, I'm dealing with hours. Mountain runs a live show some and sometimes they don't, so everybody's in different time zones. We have
the most listeners. I'll go Central time between sixty and eight fifteen, and so is like what the most people are in and that's the pure power spot and so that's where you gotta pick the things that are going to be the absolute strongest. But we don't ever have a week time because at six o'clock eastern right Central. It's seven o'clock eastern. That's their power time, prime time. So it's and you don't put two segments other Ready
people are gonna hear this too. I don't care. You don't put segments back to back through about the same thing. I would never do Eddie kids segment followed by another Edite kids segment, or Eddie segment followed by Amy segment. Would a Eddy segment followed by a new story followed by a game and mix it up two days in
a row. You don't do an interview in the same spot unless the artist has to come in at that time, because you don't want to give the person listening the same thing two days in a row given away too much. Other people are gonna listen to us. They're gonna try to copy our pattern. Don't worry everything away every country away. Tell me something good, prime example, that's good? Well, what was it not? Prime? No? But he didn't stay. He
called me and asked me, I'm cool with that. Every show does a positivity segment now because of this show, though, because fifteen years ago we started doing it, Like I didn't met positive news. But it was like, hey, let's just focus on five to seven minutes of just positivity. And we started doing it. And here's we didn't other
shows didn't copy it from us. But what happens. We did it, and it started researching and our bosses started saying, hey, this gets really good ratings, so they started making other shows do it. Then other show started getting good rays with it, so the other show started doing it, and so the next thing, you know, every station you listen, who's got to tell me something good or give me
something tell or happy news time or whatever. But that's where it started from, was us doing it and it working, and then if something works, they spread it and they make other people do it. Anyway, there's that yeah, that but it's all it's it's not a perfect science, but you try. But yeah, but I've always thought, man, that is just crazy. How he knows to put that at like, how he knows that's gonna be a good story at
seven twenty people are gonna relate to it. And the hard part is because you've got to maintain this consistent show even in our five o'clock hour, that's six o'clock in the East Coast. It's a really important hour. But the East coast leaves at like eight thirty, and even some of our central stations leave it like eight forty or so central and have segments aren't it's heard in as many places, And so I'm like, well, which segments matter the least? I don't want any segments matter the least,
and I gotta put that there. And so that's a that's the juggling game. And then when we're aware of where the least times are, and then it's like a story you submitted, you're like, sweet, you still made it. Though, still made it, that's true. So it's like you're on the bench of the championship team instead of not you know, Milwucky Bucks. You know. Yeah, but yeah, but Amy laughed at me like I was the dumbest compliment ever. But okay, so it wasn't the only one laughing. First of all,
Ray is the first one here every morning? Yes, well, I don't even get here at one? Is that? What how do you get here? So? Raised here when anybody everybody's here so and raises chopping audio. I don't I don't even know a sleep schedule. He's like a machine. I don't know. And he also doesn't care about anything. He just comes in and no emotion didn't matter if he is a flu or what's on your lip right now? You tell me? I don't know it, but it's something.
Oh it's and grown here probably and grown here. Michael Scott had one of this. He started calling people tell telling old girlfriends had herpes. Oh, Morgan are pretty, but yes, Morgan is perched at the window. Wanted me to say something? Go ahead? Uh? Did you just want me to say?
What I do? Want? I get here like you have living looks that you shoot and you're shooting the steel look the like look no nothing, no like right is the first one to get here every morning, and Michael in shortly after, not shortly like three hours after ray, Um, and we just prep like commercials and everything that you guys have to cut throughout the day. What do you have to say in the lunchbox? Who doesn't he doesn't
know what you do? So what do you do? So when I get here the first time, Well, the first thing I do in the morning is like, look at my email? What all I missed? Because I get a lot at night, Um, and catch up on that. I catch up on getting all the spots ready. Sometimes to have to completely rewrite the spot, say sand that's true. Yeah, sometimes you has to come in and talk and convince
me and really good at it. If you're coming and have to like lobby me to do things, and I'll go no, and then you'll walk out, and then I'll do it. And then I'll research for like tell me something good stories and everything like that, and just crape everything I can before the show starts. I'm probably busiest before the show starts, then the during the show. I would agree with that. During the show, you just make sure they know fires for the most part. But I
agree with Lunchbox. I wouldn't want to like write the whole show for you every day. I don't feel like that's our dynamic here. Wait, that's because you guys don't have to write. Maybe I want someone that wants to write the whole show whatever you're way to know you're too. You want control of the whole thing, like you wouldn't be able to let that go to someone. I run
my own board still too. It's your fingers on the board, like you hit buttons that are on like over like you move buttons and faders that you don't need to be touching. But he's always done that. He's always moving it up and down, a little higher, little lower, a little higher, too loud, bring it down, but it doesn't change anything. He can't sit still. It's so interesting. You do it every day, and there's sometimes you only need to hit the button once, but you hit it like
five times. Yeah, once I get into calls it, it's on. But when the when the show's over, I'm much I'm much lighter like when oh yeah, for sure, Like you know you we've got a job to get judged down to him. I'm like, hi, everybody, or I just leave kind of you just kind of like coast out or by everybody. All right, so alright, yeah, but do it all right? I think, Mike, did you gus say anything
I want? You want? You're noticing them? Probably go ahead, Mike Dy, I'm always going to make the coffee first thing when I get here. Oh you are copies. I didn't know that I do every day. Mike is the one who's responsible for probably nine of the games on the show. Now, yeah he writes nine, he don't, and I think everybody else has kind of stepped aside because he dominates the most of the games. I mean I bring one every once in a while. You do, Yeah, I tried. I sit at home and I try to
think of games because I enjoy playing the games. And so I'm like, man, we need to come over the game. I didn't know you texted my game. I did, and he made the game? Yeah, and then what was he gonna do? Try to take credit for now? He did? He didn't, he did. All he did was send it in and he just said, it's not about credit. I'm just kidding. He's been the last thirty minutes just raging. Just kid, you know me. I'm just kid. You contribute a lot of teamwork. You're not, but you do contribute
a lot to the show. You do contribute, and maybe you need to hear it more than you do because, like you legit bring so much to the show. But you've been on your game like a million times more. I'm just talking. I think he wants to get a gift card because you did the gift card. He was like, I have to create something. He's brought it up a few times. Yeah, Like I think I think he wants he wants because we did a thing. No no, no, no, no, not just handed out It's one thing I don't do.
It's give false praise. M All I'm saying is is that we had a thing. I was like, Hey, give a gift card to Eddie and Zack Massey who works digital here, and Morgan who had set this up, and so Fox like, man, I gotta do something. I gotta give me a gift card. Yeah. I sat at home trying to come up with an award winning segment. I think, and I think it's been in your head and you've been crushing it and you've been off watching street fights
and buzzer killing me. Just don't ever bring back the topeboard of what Remember the year we had the talent Oh, we like you get a point for every really good segment and then anyone want a bunch of money? Well, aye, it was the worst year we took. We we tallied for the entire year, and Bobby gave the money to my mom and she held it for the three hundred and sixty five days. I was like, who can come up with the most like great segments in a year?
And you do a great segment, you know you finished third. We have like five people on the show, then our six. There was somebody who worked for the show for free. Wasn't even like a cast member of the show, didn't get paid and he finished third. Wow, it was Ray getting the job here like for a whole year. Ray was just like submitting segments and going crazy and he wasn't eve getting pay, wasn't an intern like he was gonna you're like illegally in the building. Yeah, yeah, that
was That was a bad year, though. It's fantastic. No, no no, no, because we hated each other. I love you because everybody was mad at each other and I didn't want to help each other. Yeah. I loved it because probably our best year ever. They got us here really fantastically ready to year because guys are coming up with great to go shopping. Yeah, and anyone much money? Yes, you're um. Well, I think my morning is pretty much O c D.
Just kind of going through emails and checking everything. I wake up and the first thing I do at three thirties go through Twitter and I read everything on Twitter, everything that I can read, everything that happened while we were sleeping. I'll read it, go through it, know it. And then I'll come in and I go through all my emails and I do a lot of stuff with sales.
So I go through all of the make sure that we're on schedule for whatever we're gonna post, make sure that we have whatever we need to post, like images, copy whatever. Um, I do all the graphics that we need to do, like updating the website, making sure all the podcasts are up, all that stuff. You do all that before the show starts. That's amazing. Yeah, I mean it's like you no no question. I mean I say, here, well,
you guys are gambling. I mean I'm made challenge out a little bit because I mean there's some she's running in here and she's like, man, I don't have time to put makeup on, but she has time to check all of Twitter, do all these posts, update the website. That's a very good argument. And work. That means she's working, so she's not putting on her makeup. Yeah. I don't know. I'm a kid. But we gotta go on the air like ten minutes. Yeah, I'm gonna be exhausted, Like I've
already I'm warm every morning. You know you've been saying yo a lot yo. Okay, all right, anybody else should we hug it out? Why? Nobody? Fine, everybody but us great. Yeah, why Amy, you need a news story or something, just come my way else I'll give you a couple Wait why did you say everybody but but but but because we've all been like having fun sharing stories. You were you were angry me and what happened twenty minutes that was a long time ago. We have worked through it. Okay,
we worked through it. I'm having a great time. Who who woo woo woo. Want the breaks? All right, we gotta go. Okay, this is what happened before show. Its actually before the show. We came in to do this the only ever Bobby Castle probably do from the studio. But we don't have many microphones and I don't want all you guys in my house. So and then Bobby what episodes? That's my ahead. Since lunch Box and Eddie have their morning thing, I'm now we have to have
a morning we do. I come in to go and then I sit down and go all right, here we go us one tam face number wall. How want you to come in every morning? DAPs me and say beast mode and I'll go I'm just not fine, let's do it. Come on, I don't I have my personality. My personality is not the extras. There are no frills with me. Like, I'm a good solid truck, but you're not gonna get that little sidebar or you're gonna get the pipe coming
out of the top of it. Yeah, let's just add a little you know, extra, like a like a sound system your truck. You're like, what's those cards that liable? What those cars that had the back that struck in the back. Oh, but that is Mexican. No our el caminos Mexican. But that's like Chevy or something. All right, we're gonna got there. Okay, hey boys, there is there is there anybody. Remember that's just remember what you make
more than they do. Remember that. Remember that when you get a kind of car, you know, you are a luxury suv, really solid, attractive, you know it's going to be there for you can like carry a lot of stuff. But when they break down, really expensive, Like you know, you're a luxury suv. Likes emotions that I bring. Sometimes it's not you know, we're just talking metaphors, but I get what you're saying. All right now, all right, that's it.
That's the forty eight. Mike ran all along. I gotta get on the ears right before Friday morning show and peace out. Goodbye everybody,
