Like this is the big awards show, and so why don't we start with Album of the Year. So these are the biggest five albums. Adele Hello, and so a guess is the name of the album? So I matter to play a song from the album. So it is so Adele's album, Beyonce's Lemonade, and here's the form nation

from that Alabama Love Louisiana justin Bieber's purpose. I mean, look at Biber getting Grammy nomination. That's crazy, huh. Drake with views one thing and Sturgill Simpson they always have one odd Every year they have to have some odd thing that always like what the And with this one it's Sturgill Simpson Sailor's Guide of the Earth. He I do like that m Bloom cover um, and I like

the fact that Sturgel has done his own thing. I think he's whiny's crap, but you know, they have to put the weird one, and I'm glad it was something that's kind of country, um, you know whatever. Like I don't only have a feeling about Sturgel's music, like love or hate it. I like how he's done it. He's kind of whiny though too, especially when he went out. But don't here. I'm a voter of this too. I get to vote for the Grammy. I'm a Grammy member, so I get to vote. Um, I think the winner

is a dell. If I'm predicted, might be your prediction. It's a dude, you think. I mean, the Beyonce album was huge. I mean the Drake album was like streamed more than anything else. But I think among like everybody, it's a deal. But then there's the one weird Sturgil record, And sometimes the Grammy's like to really throw a wrench into it. We're gonna stay with ours, but I can see everybody winning. But Justin Bieber, Yeah, that's a good album, and I must say it's a good album, like three

huge songs of that. But I'm saying that Justin Bieber one, by being taken seriously enough to be in the Album of the Year category, he already won, like game over, Justin Bimber one, He's not gonna win. The other four I can see winning. We're both picking Adele to win the thing. Okay, record of the year now the record of the year as the actual song itself, the artist,

the singer, the Adele like Adele. I don't think she was one of the writers in here and Hello, But whenever it goes to like song of the year, that's a songwriter award. Okay, So this is record of the Year. So it's just the song basically that we hear on the radio with our ears up for it is Adele with Hello. This is a performer award. Yeah, okay. Beyonce with Formation, Lucas Graham seven years sounds seven years old. Mama told Rihanna work work, work, work, work, work, work,

and twenty one pilots stressed out. So this is how good they sang the song, Uh, you're a winner of Record of the Year for the Graham's Mike d I'm gonna go adele Hello. Yeah, It's just that was such an anthem. There was nobody I must use a double negative, didn't know that song in any format. Ever, people were covering it. Cam came on our show and covered it. It made I mean, that was an anthem. That was

the biggest song to me. So you have Beyonce, I don't even know formation and I still keep up sev with pop. I used to keep up. Now something I'm just like, I don't even know what's happening, because you know, you cant remove from it. And even when I was working in Top forty, there'd be like forty percent of music I didn't like. In country, it's a less than that. It's about twenty percent of the music I don't like an eight percent that I do. And pop it was

a lot worse than that. It was like, oh, I cannot play, but I just think the adult song is such a big song. It was like her resurgence too. It was like Adel's been gone for years, boom with this hash okay, the song of the year, This is a Songwriter award, so it's not I was produced, it's not how it sounds. It's like they wrote the song. They're up for the award. So the songs are for formation and Beyonce was one of the writers with a bunch of other people. But this is one of the

songs for songwriter. Hello from Adele. I took a pill from Mike Posner and I guess post and wrote this by himself because all the other ones have, like Adele wrote it with someone else, Greg Kirsten, But I took a pill and a besa from Posner was cool, and when I finally got sober ten years older, but love Yourself from Justin Bieber, Benjamin Levin and Ed Sheeran like everyone and then seven years men, you've seen all these

same songs and artists really dominated the main categories. Lucas Graham, which I think is Lucas for camera in real life and most of the people in his band wrote this song. I think, is that the same as they're all the same? Right so much? Alright? Songwriter Mike d I gotta go Adele on that one, like you. I think if there's one that wins, if he does, and I don't pick Justin Ber, but if there's one where he's the strongest,

it's this one. This one. But do you know why, I think Justin Bieber has the most chance to one Love Yourself because that cheer with them, and it gives that song a little bit of cool cred. And the Grammys are a cool award. They're not a sales award, They're not a but I think the fact that he wrote it with them gives it a little shot. I'm going to go with Adele Hello again. I'm giving every award to Adele, like I think it's gonna be the Adele sweep. But for Song of the Year Songwriter Award,

both of us go Adele Boy. If I had to go sec a place, and what I think the voting is gonna come down to, I would go Justin Bieber, Benjamin Levin and Ed Sheeran for Love Yourself. Man, that's the jam likes everyone and I never liked. So we go to best New Artists. This is a big award. In the category is country and female country by the way,

which is amazing, which is amazing, which is wonderful. I love that and it's two artists that I have a personal friendship with and have been lucky enough to be at the very beginnings of their careers kind of just getting on board and let never know how great they are. So best new artist. Uh, these are okay, they're alphabetical. I wonder why how they list is? I guess they did. They go alphabetical. Kelsey Ballerini, the Chain Smokers, actual DJs,

two d j's up for the award here. That was the song was the dance, although it was kind of land They rhyme stupid words. Chance the Rapper. I don't know if I can name a Chance the Rapper song. Yeah, I'm checking out man Marion Morris, my Church yea. And Anderson Park. I thought it was Anderson Park. It's not that Anderson Park. Anderson Pack Rapper, Anderson dot Pack or is this a typo? I think it's dot Pack. Yeah? Is his name Anderson dot Pack. It's okay, Now let's

look at this. I'm gonna let you pick first. Go ahead, who wins. See it's tough with the two country artists in there. I said on the air this morning, the worst case scenario is that this is before Kelsey and Mayn both got in. Because we thought which one we'll get in. We thought one of them would and maybe both of them would, and now they're both in. They could split the country votes. That's the problem. But go ahead and will let you pick before I give you.

I'm seeing that kind of I predict that happening, and I'm thinking, Grammys, it's gonna be somebody cool. I'm gonna go chance to wrap Chance the rapper interesting. Okay, So as I look at this, you start eliminating people, eliminate the chain smokers and media. Just just look at it with your eyeballs before you start to do any sort

of deductive reasoning. And who's gonna cut who? I eliminate the chain smokers from Best New Artists because really the a couple of DJs and not the DJs aren't awesome, but the Grammys don't really pop DJ friendly thing. Okay, So I'm gonna cut these guys. Lads me with four. Now you've got two rappers and two country artists. So are you splitting the vote on both of those? Well? I think the other guy is not is well known, so I think it goes a little away from him

and more where's chance? I think Cancy just bigger? And then with Kelsey and Maren, they're a little more similar as far as on the scale now similar to Kelsey's had three number ones. Like to be fair, Kelsey had three number ones and Marin hasn't had any. Like My Church wasn't a number one, but that album was so critically loved, Like I love Marin's album. I like the album better, not like Kelsey's album, like the Whole Project. Man,

it's tough. I gotta vote, and it was like two and they're both coming into the Bobby casting and I like them both so much as people, So it's tough, and I'm going to go with Chance the Rapper. I think the vote gets I eliminate the Chain Smokers, the vote gets split on country. I hope one of them win. Like but if I'm betting money on it, which as I'm treating this, I go a Chance the Rapper because I think he gets some of the pop vote and some of the splay hip hop vote, And where nobody's

gonna vote for the country girls unless your country. For the most part, man, I just wish. I wish just one of them would because they would have won. They would want if just one if either one of them would have been in the New Artist category by themselves, they would have won. I do think if one of them has an advantage in it, it's Maren, because where Kelsey is way more commercially successful, Marin is way more of a critically acclaimed bringing a new sound of the

format type of person. You know, she is a country in your face. You know you don't like it, suck it that kind of thing, but even not in a mean way. Just here I am. This is how I am. If you don't like it, that's cool. I mean, I'm still a friendly person, but this is just me. So if you don't like it, you know, you know, kiss my butt. So uh yeah, that's where I go. There. I want to run through some country performances for the Grammy nominations Best

Country Albums. Go to Brandy Clark, Big Day in a Small Town, Lauretta Lens, Full Circle, Marion Morris, Hero Sturgill Simpson, A Sailor's Guide to the Earth, and Keith Urban Rip Chord. Now have songs from all these. It gets crazy here because you have something nominated for Best Album Overall. Who's also in the Best Country category? So Mike d logic would be to give it to Sturgil because he's in the top five albums. So if you're in the top

five overall, shouldn't you win your format? Oh no, it didn't cut my face time live a I'm still alive. I'm still alive. Yes, okay, Uh, it should be the point. So what how are you failing here? I'm feeling Morris on that. Do you think Marion's gonna win over Sturgil Man has been nominated more than any other country artist with four nominations. Now again, going with the brain, you would say, if you're nominated in the overall category, you

should automatically win your format. That's what you would saying. The Grammys aren't like that. I'm the same way you are. I think Maren should win this thing. Just walking away test looking at it, I mean, like, I go Maren Urban, Brandy Clark, Loretta Lan and Sturgil oddly in the last place if I were picking the five. But I go Maren too, like she's gotta win that one. I really like Brandy Clark though, and I really like her music.

I want to get her in. And here's the girl next door from Randy Clark, so I don't think she wins, but it's really a cool look for her to be out for Best Country Album because this was the c m AS or a Country Award. Some of these wouldn't even be in there because the country community boats different than people that are completely outside. Let's go over to

Best Country Duo or Group. So different for girls, and this can be an actual duo or a duo that's made out of a note, out of just putting something together like this song here different for girls, Dirks and l Kings. There's only one duo, like real life duo in this and it's Brother's Osborne and Brothers Osborne's Up and there are the only real life duo that wasn't put together by you know, some kind of special package,

Brothers Osborne twenty one Summer Jees. You also have Set in the World on Fire with Kenny Chas, Andy and Pink, and you have Joe Lene Pentatonics with Dolly Parton, which is weird to me because Pentatonics isn't a country group, and if it were Dolly featuring Pentatonics, that would make sense, but it's Pentatonics featuring Dolly Parton. That's weird. It's a really cool song. Yeah, it's awesome by the way. But and then think of You with Chris Young and Cassidy Pope.

I really like Cassidy, so for her, I wouldn't mind if they won. I mean, Chris, I don't like Chris that much, but I like Cassidy a lot. So um, okay, Mike, what do you have? I think he's had a really good year. I really like the song. Do you know Dirk's has been nominated like twenty times and never won. Okay, I'll eliminate through just looking out in limiting. It's not gonna be Pentatonics, Dolly Parton, Boom, It's not gonna be Kenny and Pink because pinks pop artists are gonna They're

not gonna vote for that. I don't think as a country song twenty one summer, my brother's Osborne a new artist, the song that wasn't that big. As much as I love, they're nominated and I'm proud of being nominated, they're not gonna win. So it comes down to different for girls and think of You, And like, the reality is, nobody knows who Christi Enging is. He's an artist who has had a bunch of number ones that can can walk down the street because whomever packages him doesn't do a

good job of it. Like he can walk into the supermarket. With as many hits he's had, he should be able to be recognized everywhere. He has a ton of hits. Like, aside from the fact that personally I don't like him, he can sing really good and he's a good artist. Uh it's it's Dirks and l King, it's dirt and you could say LS a pop artist, but her pop stuff lean's way banjo country at times too. By the way,

Rob Schneider's daughter, you can do it. And I don't want to take anything away from Chris Junk by the fact that personally don't like him. I think it's a fantastic artist and has great songs and all of his songs do wonderful. Perform that song like everywhere this year and they were together all year. Yeah, man, I hope this is Dirk's this year. But I really do like Dirk's. I'm not letting that claude my judgment either. It's on both things, both sides. UM best Country song, This is

a Songwriter Award? What's um? What's our time here? We only have thirty minutes. Alright, Best Best Country Song a Songwriter Award, Blue Answer Color written by Clint Lagerberg, Hillary Lindsay and Steven Lee Olsen, obviously sang by Keith Urban. This is the songwriter's Remember Die Happy Man, written by Sean Douglas, Joe Sparker and Thomas Red Humbling kind from

Laura McKenna. She isn't all. I just she's my favorite, like as a person, as everything about her is awesome Songwriter singer sung by Tim mcgrawl, My Church by Buzzby and Marion Morris and Miranda Lambert with vice Miranda Shane mcinally and Josh Osborne. All Right, Um Songwriter Award, go ahead. It's a tough one for me. I think it comes down the Thomas rhet and to McGraw, and I gotta go Thomas rhet. So you think Diet Happy Man is

Songwriting Song of the Year. Okay, let's all I'm gonna eliminate. It's hard to eliminate because I can see where I don't think Blue Anchor Color. As much as I love that song, it's one of my favorite Keith Urban songs in a long time. I think it's a little two mainstreamish to win the Grammy, So I'm gonna cut that one. I don't think it's diet happy man. I don't. It's fantastic, and all these songs are fantastic, they wouldn't be here. I don't think it's diet happy man. So it leaves

Humble and Time my Church and Vice. Now, if I'm a voter man, Maren just has so much momentum going with her. I think I'm gonna cut Vice. Didn't have a lot of commercial success. The album sold well, Um, Miranda is huge. I'm gonna cut Vice boy outside shot of Bisto because it's a cool song, Like it's just cool and it's different. Yeah, she I think though, you're gonna see the country voters because Humble and Kind one song of the year at the c M as over

Marren and I'm gonna go Mayor in my church. When's best country song? Like Songwriter Award? You're going Diet Happy man, I'm going my church best rock album. Blank wanted to two as California. Um, I don't even know if I know. Let's see, well, how must time we have here? Seven minutes? Seven minutes? Okay? Cool? Cool cool um. These are thirty minute conversations. The Grammy's Best Rock album, Blank one eighty two, California. They got back together, but without one of the dudes. Yeah,

they dropped Tolan and Matt came from another band. Yeah. Alkne Trio not as big, never commercially as successful as Blank one eighty two, but they were somewhat popular on the alternative thing. I'm in Rocklan Trio my favorite band for like years. Really, well you're a punk kid though, oh you were? Yeah? Wow? So yeah, I really like the new Blank. Here's California. Here's a song called Cynical

from Blake one two. Okay, sounds like everything else from My Wanted two that sounds like every Blank one two song ever. Good for them for standing turn to the roots. Also Best Rock Album, Cage the Elephant Has tell Me I'm Pretty? And do I have the song? Okay, I don't know what that? Who's a go Gyra? That's album go Gyra? Or Panic at the Disco They're not gonna win Death of a Bachelor. And then Weezer there album Weezer.

I Love Weeezer. One of the photos out of My Room is me and Rivers Cuomo I mean, that's why I wear my glasses. Two people that I love musically Buddy Holly and Rivers, Cuomo, Weezer, and so that's why I started wearing dark room glasses. Here's Weezer, California kids, all right, who do you have there? That's rock album. The Blink with any Two album did really well, but I would go Weezer. That was a good album too.

I liked it. I've never heard of go Gyra. I'm picking them, Okay, I don't even know who it is that I'm just looking. It's not gonna be Blank. I don't think Cage has enough clout to win it. And I'm fans of most of these bands. The only one I'm not a fan of. I'm not really a Panic fan, and I don't know who go Gyra is. I love Weezer, but I can't pick Weezer for the same reason I'm not picking Blank. So I'm gonna go with go Gyra just because I don't know who that is. I don't

see the other ones being so strong. Best rap album, Chance the Rapper, Coloring Book, uh Della, Soul, DJ Khaled Drake, Schoolboy Q, and Kanye West. Life of Pablo Now, what I would like to see is Kanye Wait just what he gives up on stage. I guess I would like to say and think I went all right, Now, what do you think your best rap album? My favorite was Kanye West, but I think Drake. Yeah, I think Drake

has to win. I mean it was far and beyond the there's a point where you reach commercial success so big that you can't ignore it, even if you want to ignore it. So I'm with you. I think Drake views wins uh just from the outside like Chance the rapper has an outside shot, and so does Kanye. But I'm with you. I do think Drake should just win it. And that's just it. All three good albums, Yeah, yeah, I mean listen, one makes about Chance to rapper. I've

listened to you. I've watched a bunch of his YouTube videos, like when he when his performances to know that he is like for real. But I don't know what I mean songs, I'm not cool. I know it's kick at commercial. Yeah, I'm I've lost a little bit, dude. I used to have a hip hop recording deal and now I don't even know. I'll like the cool rapper I know who

he is. I always thought he had the stupidest name when he when he came out and he was with Justin Bieber hanging out, I was like Chance the Rapper. I just changed my name to Bobby the radio DJ, and that's just my name. Like Chance the Rapper, you could be Mike the Producer. Uh okay, Best Rap Song? Do I know these songs? can win with that song, Drake Hotline bling. He will not win for this song, but I mean when it came out everybody was now hard. No problem from Chance the Rapper never heard it? Do I have it up here? What category color is it? You know? I might be over on the right side, so my left best new artists a Chance the Rapper, No problem. Oh I know the song. I don't know the song, probably from fifty minutes ago, but I don't know it either. I just recognized where I didn't know it. Maybe I heard a

fifty minutes going. Really, I'm like, oh, that's familiar. And then Ultra light Beam Kanye another Kanye song. Why do I have this one? Yeah, she'd be on there. Oh, here we go Beam when you're on light Beam? This is a guy jeam, this is a guy dream, This is ever Okay, that's not gonna wear. That sounds terrible. That sounds like t Bank couldn't get his vocal tune or to work just right. Um, okay, best rap song, go ahead, Famous Kanye West Man, that's a good one.

I got man. We can go around too many of these hate that we agree and we can't argue about it. Sad niggas that know me best. All the controversy aside, it's good the song famous, It's just like the Beast the whole West. I mean, even if you hate Kanye, and a a lot of people hate Kanye, I'll hate Kanye. And I think Kanye is a nutty artist and I hope he's not mentally ill, and I hope he's okay since he's overworked and doesn't sleep and it's called I

think Kanye knows what he's doing. But remember all the like the hype people around that album when you came out, like all the tweets he sent out changing the album title like yes, and you know we remember that because he wants us to remember that it was awesome. And people don't respect that because he says things. People get mad about that. But he says things so people will get mad about that. That's the thing that people don't appreciate. They just go with their first reaction, like I just

don't like him, but if you peel back therapy. He doesn't want everybody to like him. He doesn't care if everybody likes him. He wants a certain people to like him and if they do, great, And no doubt he's a great producer, like he produced the Black Out from jay Z, like legendary producer. You you forget that. So he's a big producer on his own stuff too. Uh, I want you there now? Want to hang out with Kanye? No? Do I think I'd be Kanye's friend? No? Do I

actually think I would? Like Kanye's a real life person. Probably not. He doesn't seem like a guy to get along with. But I respect him as an artist. Again, I don't have to like somebody to respect him as an artist. So Kanye la famous like me and Taylor might still have sex. Why I made that the thirty minute versation. Kelsey for being in one of the main categories. Uh, this is a big deal for Sturgil because he's then independent artist. Um Like, on just my side, like I like to see my friends get nominated too. I like that Brandy Clark got nominated, Like I I just I like her a lot. Maren, Obviously, I said that Keith

is awesome, Dirk's is a personal friend. Brothers Osborne like those are my dudes, Like I I mean, so those are people that I really am rooting for Lori McKenna, who wrote humbling kind like I have a like we text.
