Episode description

In this episode Justin & Lou have set the card table up right beside the Enoggera Reservoir in the north-western suburb of The Gap. Surrounded by hills and backing onto national park, The Gap is one of Brisbane's leafiest suburbs.

The Gap is also a suburb that's inspired the soundtrack of Bluey, features a couple of the show's locations, and is home to a quiet little fellow called Bob Bilby!

That's right - the original Bob Bilby calls The Gap C&K Kindy home, and we'll talk to Anne Kerr who is one of the teachers, and also the voice of Mrs Retriever on Bluey. We'll hear some of Bob's story and how he helps the children at The Gap Kindy. Did he really go to Scotland?

We also chat to Shelley Lloyd, a longtime journalist and newsreader with ABC Radio Brisbane and also a resident of The Gap. For many years Brisbane woke to the sound of Shelley reading the news, but she is also well known for her photography of the wildlife in and around The Gap.

We find out more about our location today; the Enoggera Reservoir and the Walkabout Creek Discovery Centre, as well as ways to enjoy a Bluey Day Out in The Gap.

Bluey's Brisbane is the podcast that explores the real life world of your favourite Heeler family, and is hosted by Justin Rouillon and Lou Bromley.
