A single best idea and today in a special edition, one single tape. This is not about economics, finance, investment, or international relations. It's not about his true expertise in technology. And this is Ted Mortenson, a Baird and yes he's

another technology analyst, except no he's not. He is a retired lieutenant commander of the US Navy, and he is expert at what we're all witnessing in the war of soldiers and enlisted types placing our material into the air as we saw with a rescue in the last five six days in Iran. A one single long conversation and answer are from Lieutenant Commander Mortensen.

Number one. I think they've got to be treated with humanity. I worry about the people on the exhaustion, Yes, the exhaustion. And take the people on the ford that were on the med. They've been out to see almost nine months, and I did three deployments and I was extended once. Your mind and body can only do it for roughly six months. Because you're going every day now nine months,

I can't even imagine. And we have a carrier problem we have, you know, we just got a logistical problem on having two carriers in market during a major conflict. So that's number one. But you know that carrier could be out for one year. That comes out as sacrifice, not only the people on it, but the machine on it. I mean, they're not meant to go for a year out at sea, and then there's always a human cost. What your viewers or your listeners may not understand is

the divorce rate in the name. When I was there, it was close to seventy percent. It is a very tough life. So in this in this particular conflict, I think we you know, if you ever see somebody in uniform at you know, airport or walking down the street, make it make it a make it your sense to go up and shake their hand and say thank you. They don't make a lot of money. They are true patriots. So we're at a high pace and I think, uh,

I think the administration. I think Admiral Cooper, who does sendcom you know, he graduated from naval cadety like myself. He gets it. So I'm sure those conversations are going up to chain and command.
