Single best idea. After an exhausting seventy two hours to the team, I really can't say enough. Just to give you a little vignette into the real world. We go twenty four to seven, and I mean that, I'm not kidding. It's seven days a week. And what we do is we aggregate the fine news data of Bloomberg News in many other legitimate sources worldwide. We're constantly looking at the conversation that's out there, particularly focusing on the US major
papers and on the European papers as well. I've just started reading every day Lemonde English out of Paris and the interesting take on Paris of what we see in the Eastern Mediterranean. We'll get to that in a moment. The real news underplayed because of all that's going on, the vice presidential debate, what we see in Israel, Iran,
in Lebanon and and such, and frankly Ukraine. But the real debate going on the decision making of Bijing where they have reverse course a monetary stimulus and immediately following did fiscal stimulus that was coming quote unquote down the road. There's been a leap in what we see in China. On that Scott Leander of Horizon Investments, should you focus on.
China, don't be short so you know, like like like right now it is look, lose the gloom we have you gotta lose the gloom a little bit. And look, but I'm not sure this is this didn't really change our longer term view or even medium term view of kind of China's prospects. I mean, that's a lot of challenges. They're in a balancee recession, get terrible demographics, all the things we all know about China. There's a reason to embarrassed on them longer term. But nobody's and nobody's invested
over there. Everybody short over there, and and and you know, and these these policies seem like they might have some teeth to it. So it's, you know, it's one of these where you like, you can't afford to be shorted. You got to play along, and you know, I kind of you know, dance, you know, dance all the music is playing, so so to speak, that's probably not best phrase to use right now, but right but it's it is it, you know it basically play along and don't don't don't get caught short.
Scott Lander of Horizon Investments. We had a terrific day of conversation on the conflict appending war perhaps in the Eastern Mediterranean. Thanks to Mark Champion of Bloomberg Opinion London for his expertise. He's just exquisite on the international complexities and particularly pulling the history forward. We talked to Aaron David Miller. You've seen him on any other number of
networks at the Carnegie Endowment for International Piece. He is definitive back to his days out of Tulane with George Schultz and James Baker. Aaron David Miller, and late in the conversation, you know, I just wanted to reach back. I have the clearest memory of the day of the assess nation of Itzak were being and I simply said to Aaron David Miller, I said, what would Itzak Rabin think of the moment?
Rabin would not have handled October seventh the way this current Israeli government would have handled it. Raben would have responded, probably as forcefully. But during the course of that conflict, this man, who had a sense of strategy, understood the relationship between the application of military force and achievable political endgames.
Rabina would have understood that Israels involved in three wars of attrition, one with Hamas, one with his bow, and obviously one with Iran, and I think he would have begun to understand and to work with rather rather than not against the United States and other regional allies. The amuradis, the Babrainis, the Saudis, and trying to figure out a way to create an alternative to Hamas in Gaza and an alternative political reality over.
Time in Lebanon, Aaron David Miller, the Carnegie Carnegie Endowment for International piece there on mister Rabine, and of course what we see now in the Eastern Mediterranean. We're on YouTube. Subscribe to Bloomberg podcast. They just wandered by with the statistics for September, and I'm absolutely humbled by the growth of the platform. We continue to drive it forward. In two thousand and twenty five, boy, is it a change agent? You see? You know, you wonder what is Major League
Baseball going to do with YouTube? What is the NFL going to do with YouTube? And on and on and on. It is a change agent. We're thrilled to be part
of it with Google again.
