A single best idea in a set of great conversations. We've just been on a roll of the last number of days of back to back to back conversations, and you know, some real differing opinions on the war, on what oil is going to do, and of course on this market with its own characteristics. Every guest comes in with a certain take. Cameron Dawson came in today with New Edge Wealth and she was absolutely heated. There's no rotation. Let's listen.
We've been saying that the broadening out is a myth. Look at the equal weight s and P five hundred. It is at a new year to date relative low versus the cap weighted index. And that is all because you're in this environment where you have a very narrow contribution to that earnings upside. So as much as people want the broadening out to happen, what you can see is that it's simply not being supported by the fundamentals and thus it's not being able to be sustained in the price action.
Cameron Dawson there with New Edge Wealth on the market. She's participating in this bull market. I didn't hear her screaming bye bye bye. But nevertheless, there I do want to emphasize there was one I don't have the name in front of me. I'm so sorry, but a major strategist who I respect said, look, they're not predicting S and P nine thousand, but they're saying a fan distribution of opportunities gets you in that vicinity if everything works out.
I've never heard that. I've never read that SMP nine thousand. I interpolated that over to the Dow Jones Industrial averager. You're ready now, sixty thousand would be an equivalent SPX nine thousand. Again, I'm not predicting that, but it's one of the things in the zeitgeist of this strange mayenty twenty six, liz Anne Sanders that Charles Schwab has seen strange maize. Let me give you one story of her May. This is the class act that liz Anne Sanders is.
She's out doing some college, you know, recruitment thing or high I'm Lyzianne Sanders, smile, smile and all that. And there's adweeby kid from Pepperdine in the line who knows a lot about the stock market. And that's how you get hired at Charles Swab. Kevin Gordon has been a fabulous success for Charles Schwab, bringing maximum brain power and chart ability to help liz Ane Sanders move forward. Here is liz Ane Sanders of Charles Schwab.
Unfortunately, the younger generation Kevin's generation. In a report that we wrote a few weeks ago, Harris Pole Study, we highlighted that Kevin's generation, the response was eighty percent that we are considering more speculative actions, more speculative bet because we don't have faith in the system, because we feel
financially behind my generation. The baby boomers still a high percentage that responded that way, but it's only fifty verses about eighty and it gradually has increased as you go down the age spectrum. Most young people, some of them don't really even know what Social Security is. They just make broader assumptions that the systems in place that benefited their parents' generation are not going to be there.
Lzayne Saundres, they are just absolutely brilliant with Charles Schwab on podcasts, we're at Apple where it's Spotify. On YouTube podcasts, it's single best idea
