News when you want it with Bloomberg News Now, i'mid Keleki. President Trump has invoked a centuries old immigration law to ramp up deportations of undocumented migrants, amid signs of frustration within the administration over the pace of efforts to deliver

on one of its top priorities. The Associated Press reports that a federal judge blocked Trump's proclamation soon after Trump invoked powers under the Alien Enemies Act of seventeen ninety eight, a law once used to justify the internment of Japanese Americans during World War II, in a proclamation Saturday, targeting trend des Argua of Venezuelan Gang also designated a foreign

terrorist organization. Violent tornadoes ripped through parts of the US, wiping out schools and toppling semi tractor trailers in several states, part of a monster storm that has killed at least twenty six people. Is more severe weather continued. The number of fatalities increased after the Kansas Highway Patrol reported eight people died in a highway pile up caused by a dust storm in Sherman County. At least fifty vehicles were involved.

Missouri recorded more fatalities than any other state, as it withstood scattered twisters over night that killed at least twelve people. Canada's new Prime Minister Mark Carney has ordered a review of the country's contract with Lockheed Martin for F thirty five fighter jets. We get more from Bloomberg's Denise Pellegrine.

Canada's Defense Department says it has been asked to review whether the F thirty five contract is the best option for Canada and if there are other options that could better meet Canada's needs. The more than thirteen billion dollar deal for eighty eight F thirty five's was finalized in twenty twenty three, with Canada making a legal commitment of

funds for the first sixteen jets. The new review comes amid an escalating trade war between the two countries and President Trump's comments the US should use economic force to make Canada the fifty first US state. Denise Pelgree and Bloomberg Radio.

UK Prime Minister Kiir Starmer said some twenty five allied leaders agreed Saturday to keep tightening restrictions on Rush's economy in an effort to draw a President Vladimir Putin to the rootiating table to secure a cease fire in its war with Ukraine. Following a call with fellow leaders, Starmer said Western nations are gathering political and military momentum.

More Facebook and Instagram. Parent company Meta Platforms says it will launch its crowdsourced fact checking program, called Community Notes on March eighteenth. Community Notes relies on regular users to weigh in on misleading posts and offer additional context or corrections. Others can then vote on whether a note is helpful, a system X has used for years. Not only is Meta taking X's idea and the product name, but it's

It's a move aim at stabilizing the state's insurance market after the Los Angeles Areas devastating wildfires. The provisionally approved rate hike would provide financial relief to State Farms California subsidiary, which is said it needs to shore up confidence with solvency regulators and ratings agencies in the aftermath of January's Palisades and Eton blazes.
