Global business news twenty four hours a day at Bloomberg dot com, the Radio plus Mobile Act and on your radio. This is a Bloomberg Business Flash from Bloomberg World Handquarters. I'm Charlie Palott's stocks are declining as investors shun risk before the FED meeting. Right now, the SMP is down eight to two thousand and eighty seven, a drop of four tenths of one percent. NAZ stacked down thirty a

drop of six tenths of one percent down. Jones Industrial Average down sixty four points, a drop of four tenths of one percent. The ten you of six thirty seconds, the yield one point six one percent. Gold up nine eighty ounce to twelve eighty five, a gain of eight tenths of one percent. Crude down thirty eight cents of barrel forty eight sixty nine on West Texas intermediate crude. That is a drop of eight tenths of one percent.

I'm Charlie Pallett, and that's a Bloomberg Business Flash. This is taking stock with pims Ox and Kathleen Mays on bloom Bird Radio. Racing. The Prestige Performance Race team recently announcing that well it has two cars in the North American Lamborghini Blanc super Trofeo series. And here to tell us more about these mean machines and speed is David Seabrook. He is a founder in the chief Executive Canoe Studios. He's to be driving car number twenty three. Also joining

us is Trent Hindman. He is going to be driving in the race. There race takes place, uh qualifying, I believe June with racist to follow on July one, second and third, and I want a gentleman, Well, welcome to the studio, Welcome to bloomber Trent. Why don't you begin by just telling us exactly what is this super Trofeo series, how does it work? And what kind of cars are you gonna be driving? Right? So, the car itself is the Lamborghini Hurrican LP six to super Trofeo. It's a

car specifically built for this championship. Every R is the same in the series. Uh, there's a North American Championship, European Championship, in Asian Championship. Obviously David and myself and the Preceige Performance Team compete in the North American Championship. And again it's it's a car specifically built by Lamborghini for this race series. So who all David competes in in the Super Trefeo series and particularly in the races you're going to be involved in this in a couple

of weeks. There's a total usually of twenty two six cars that that compete. Some of the cars have one driver, some have to they're all exactly the same cars, same statistics, same power train, everything the cars. Of course, each team has the ability to set the car up based upon the needs of the driver and their touch field for the car. So you'll have a pro class, which will individual one pro will be driving, or a pro pro.

You have a Pro am which is one pro driver with an amateur and then you'll have an amateur US. We're just an amateur driver because it gives an entry point for different drivers who want to experience racing to come in and if they want to, they can move

through the ranks, whether they're younger, whether they're older. Now, before we get to more about the actual race, I want you to just tell us a little bit about what the automobiles, what the Lambeaus were doing at West Point Trent, right, So, uh this weekend, UH, there was a car show the Ramapo Concore uh not too far away from the Prestige family of dealerships right up in

North Jersey around along Route seventeen. But from there on Sunday there was there was a pretty good, pretty big gathering, pretty big drive where a lot of the cars that competed in this concour ended up driving to West Point. One of the cars that did go to West Point was the number one car are one of our Hurricane supertrafos that our teammate unfortunately couldn't join us today drives

he's in the Pro class. That car is been wrapped in a really really cool uh camouflage American flag kind of mash up uh for the Wish for Our Heroes Foundation. So we were trying to raise awareness, race support and and ultimately funds to help support the Wish for Our Heroes Foundation. But we brought the car over to West Point, had it sitting right in front of the Fair Hotel all day yesterday and it was just an absolutely unbelievable site.

So David, you uh started out in banking, that's correct in Canada, and I guess you did well enough that you could go down to Florida and start racing cars. So what what category of driver are you and how big of how big a part of that is a super torfeo racing and particularly with the Lamborghinis, Well, I'm I'm driving to back in the past, I would have considered a gentleman driver back in the past, even though

I was driving in a prototype class. Today I'm I'm qualified as an amateur driver and I'm teamed with a professional. My my co driver was Stepan Wilson, who was in the Inn five hundred a few weeks ago. So it's nice to have good someone good with you in the advantage of doing that is that the two of you can work as a team to help one another. And the idea is is because car racing, like what we're doing, is meant to be something that increases the value of

the brand. It gets customers in touch with what the cars can really do as well as to show people that it's fun and prestige. Basically pulls together a total package where they want to have their clients, others outside in the world as well as the drivers to see this is what cars are all about. Because America is a country that's really a lot of its foundation is around the automotive business, and what we're doing is putting

the public in touch with these unbelievably fast cars. Because these aren't play toys where you just take a Lamborghinian and slap some paint on it. This is a purpose built race car that's pretty quick, Trent. This is what a V ten. We're talking about a five point to Leader V ten with a seven speed dual clutch automated manual transmission. Yes, Sarah, so it's a point to Leader Audi derived Lamborghini developed UH five point two Leader V

ten pushing out about six hundred and twenty horsepower. UH. Certainly can do a bit more, but the powers cut back just a bit for reliability sake, UH cars rpm. So if you can imagine a five point two Leader V tens screaming at eight thousand rpm, it's uh, it's it's quite a thing to behold. Um. It is a six speed UH double clutch paddle actuated transmission, specifically a

race gearbox. Not really something you'd find on the road. Again, more for reliability sake, unless you happened to be in the Italian police department, because I understand the LP six ten four is the official police car version of going well, but at least you didn't start out in policing. You started out in racing. How did you get into racing, your young man, what's the what's the career path? Right? So, I've been very lucky, very fortunate to be given opportunities

from a very young age. My father originally grew up in South Jersey on the water. He raced boats for a little while, but then once I was thought of, once I started to come around, yeah, my mom more or less put an end to his racing career. So ultimately I just grew up as a race fan, watching Formula One races on Sunday mornings with him. Ended up getting into motocross around the age of four, started racing cards at the age of eight, and ultimately cars at

the age of thirteen. Gentlemen, good luck, Thank you so much for joining us in studio of the Street's Performance Racing team telling us about the Lamborghini Super Treferial North America Series at the end of June, then Watkins if you want more information. Thanks to Trent Kinderman and also thanks to David Seabrook. This is taking Stock on Bomberg Radio.

Coming up on taking Stock. It won eleven Tony awards. Yes, the hip hop infused blockbuster musical Hamilton's will be speaking about the business of Broadway next
