Hillary Clinton and her campaign of two thousand and eight started the birth controversy. I finished it. I finished it. You know what I mean. Business Flash. You're listening to Taking Stock with Kathleen Hayes and Pim Fox on Bloomberg Radio Superior Sleep. Is there such a thing as superior sleep? Although certainly is a thing such as luxury mattresses and beds. And here to tell us or is Jon Right? He is the executive chairman and the owner of Houstin's Group, Hostins, currently making one of the most luxurious beds available, and he's here to tell us more. John Right, thank you very much

for coming into the studio. Appreciate it. Tell us about the company, about Houstins. It is a fifth generation business. Tell us a little detail. Well, the company was founded by my grandfather's grandfather twenty second of March eight hundred fifty two. He wants a master saddler and he wanted to make manufactured products at are of enormous value. He wanted to give value to the consumer. Um that's the reason he started the business as a as a master suddler.

What are some of the qualities of a high quality mattress or bed. It has to do a lot with the materials that are used, correct. Yeah, we want to product develop and make the best possible belts because we believe that sleep is so important. And when we develop about if you make them so that you notice that you notice that you don't notice about you notice that you don't notice that you notice the bed. Yes, what

does that mean? It means that it's completely transparent. You float in the bed and you fall asleep so much faster. You fall asleep faster because of the natural materials that keeps you in the right temperature. You fall asleep faster because the support that gives you this fluting feeling thanks to the all the details we put in place. Now. Some of those details include such things as wool, cotton,

horse hair also reinforced. The springs tell us about the system that goes into this, because there's something called the spy viral spring system, the boarder, the bonnel spiral spring system in Houstins beds. Yeah, the important things is when you lie in the bed, or regardless how you move or or find yourself really bad or in when your partner move, you will not feel the boat. It's it moves and support you, so you fall asleep fast. In

the Houstin's bed. You also get to support that makes your body heal and get all the benefits of real good sleep. Now you've got to tell us about the newest bed that you've introduced, I believe, and this is the Vividus. By pronouncing that correctly, yeah, okay, And this is the estimated price, one hundred and forty thousand dollars. I should add it comes with what three and twenty hours of hand attention, that's how long it takes to make.

And it comes with two hundred and ten kilos kila, being a little bit more than you know, almost twice as much as a pound two and ten kilos of natural materials. We we make bads for people who prioritize sleep, and of course we have beads from five thousand dollars and upwards. And the viavd Us is very special because thanks to all our supporters and very happy customers, they demand or tell tell us if you ever developed an even better bed, we want to have that too. So

the pressure is on. And more than ten years ago we started to develop the viva Us to make an even better bed. And this is a decade to make this. Yeah, it's all together. We have a lot of knowledge, but we won't release the product before it's completely tested, Before we know that we can deliver value for money even in this price range. And you mentioned some of the other beds that you have. For example, you have a

line called the Classic the two thousand tea. What distinguishes those mattresses and those beds from perhaps those that you would find in a department store. All our buds are made. We were the same idea to make about as as good as we possibly count. So all of them are extremely good. Are Los Angeles partner told me recently a store that to one lady from Inglewood in Los Angeles came into the store and she had saved for seven years to buy our entry level belt. So our belts

are regardless of price range, so good. And they are for people who prioritize sleep. Are they all made in Sweden? Where where they where they constructed? Yeah? They are all made in Sweden. In shopping it's it's a small town two hours drive from Stockholm. If you decide to purchase one of these beds, can you actually go and see your bed being made? Yeah you can. We can arrange that and we will be happy to to do that. On the many people do what kind of bed do

you sleep on? Which model? Hostens do you sleep on right now? I do sleep on the way with us. You're trying it out, trying that dot. Have you had any any Do you have any any negative to anything negative to say about it that you wish was different? No, it's so good. But I can also tell you I have a couple of other really good belts. That's my favorite in our assortments. So there are planty of good belts.

I want to thank you very much for spending time with this young Ride is the owner and the executive chairman of Hostins and his new bed A hundred and forty thousand dollars works out to about four hundred and sixty two dollars a pound. Coming up on taking stock. Will be speaking with Doug Cioca. He'll be telling us, as the partner and CEO of Kavar Capital, what to do with your money. If you're successful, who knows, maybe you can afford a Houston's bit
