Sam Thompson: The Modern Deer Stalker

Welcome to another Cervus-UK podcast, this week I get to chat to professional deerstalker Sam Thompson, about his work in the Highlands of Scotland. Sam tells me about the changes to Scottish deerstalking and how things have evolved through history. Originating from Cumbria but spending most of his working life managing Scottish deer, he reflects and gives opinion on BASC’s suggestion to let amateur stalkers manage deer over public land in Scotland to save cull costs, plus a whole lot more chatter on garrons, stag costs and of course lead free ammo!
