Colts 2024 53-man roster surprises.

Excited for the 2024 Indianapolis Colts season! Jaylon Simpson's release, then practice squad pick-up, had Donald Thomas confused. Micah Abraham's release shocked myself, after a good NFL preseason showing. Some things don't show up on the field, that go into roster decisions. Why was Sam Ehlinger chosen over Jason Bean? Colts signed Womack from outside the building, to play over rookies they drafted.

Training Camp Experience Aug 4th

Anthony Richardson seems to still have the arm strength, but also now throws with touch more often. Anthony Richardson and the Quarterbacks did not look good. Jonathan Taylor and the running backs looked great. A lot of dropped passes by AD Mitchell and the wide receivers. It was shockingly hot! And much, much more!

Training Camp Experience July 27th 2024

Anthony Richardson seems to still have the arm strength, but also now throws with touch more often. Jonathan Taylor wears a black hoodie, even when he is happy. Colts are doing stretches and warm-ups, focused on preventing leg injuries during practice. Individual and position group practice seem to focus on turnovers. And much, much more!

Colts 2024 Training Camp News!

Not all Indianapolis Colts Training Camp tickets are free anymore! Colts host the Arizona Cardinals, then go to the Cincinnati Bengals, to end training camp. Colts 2024 NFL Training Camp begins Thursday, July 25th! Practice times ramp up slowly of time, to get players bodies in football shape. After the initial 3 days, players will probably then be in full pads. Wednesday August 7th is Salute to Service. Wednesday August 14th is the first chance to see Marvin Harrison Jr.! What are your thoughts...

Ryan Kelly (NFLPA VP) Hates 18 Game Proposal!

Indianapolis Colts Center: Ryan Kelly is the NFLPA Vice President. Kelly is not on board for an 18 game NFL season. How would losing another preseason game, to add another regular season game, effect the sport? What would it take for the players to want to agree to an extended regular season? Injuries can effect a player for the rest of their lives. Ryan represents the players, even if it's against how he feels. What do you think proper compensation to the players should be for an agreement?...

2024 Colts Schedule Reaction!

I only looked at two things, then decided to do a true reaction show! The Indianapolis Colts get a late bye week again, this time week 14! No Thursday night football games, and only 1 primetime! Indy does not have an out of country game. Week 1 is a tough game vs the Texans, to break the opening game curse. Half the Colts first 8 games are division games. Hosting the Dolphins week 7 will be a big matchup! Going to the Patriots could be a nasty weather game, but won't have the rivalry feel. Week ...

Indianapolis Colts 2024 Offensive Breakout Candidates.

This is assuming Anthony Richardson is the Indianapolis Colts starter the full NFL season. In the RPO system, it is imperative to be able to block, to get more opportunities. I have Alec Pierce over Adonai Mitchell, and Josh Downs, to be the Wide Receiver breakout player. Out of 5 possible Tight Ends, I can see 2 having breakout potential. Kylen Granson does so much, so well, he will be on the field the most. Andrew Ogletree is who people hoped Mo Alie-Cox would turn out to be. The Colts are dee...

Post-draft rankings and veteran fantasy fallout

In what can only be described as a podcast version of a Progressive commercial, Fabs gets a lesson in technology, popular (and unpopular) phrases, and how not to secure a meeting with HR, while he schools us fantasy football prioritization. Lindsay Rhodes and Michael Fabiano discuss which veteran players most benefited from the draft in fantasy, and which ones saw their value take a hit. Plus… Fabs reveals his post-draft fantasy Redraft rankings. And Lindsay takes issue with a few. Download and ...

Is 2024 Colts QB: Anthony Richardson's Breakout Season?

The was a lot in 2023 that held back Anthony Richardson. Right after being drafted, Anthony had to split 1st team reps with Gardner Minshew. He was unable to get any reps with probably the best playmaker on the team: Jonathan Taylor. He drastically improved from weeks 1 & 2, to weeks 4 & 5, in the 2023 NFL season. He does not have those hurdles to deal with, coming into the 2024 season. The difference between having Zach Moss, and Taylor, can not be understated! The Indianapolis Colts ha...

Analyzing & Grading the Colts 2024 Draft Class!

The 53 man cuts for the Indianapolis Colts are going to be tough. Elite edge pass rush was a need, and Laiatu Latu is definitely a home run. Adonai Mitchell can absolutely be a dangerous weapon to the Indy offense. Matt Goncalves is a power tackle, that probably won't do well vs speed rushers. Tanor Bortolini is a smart, technically sound, center or guard. But needs to get stronger. Anthony Gould is a burner. Return specialist, who could also back-up slot receiver. Jaylon Carlies is a traditiona...

Post Draft Interview - Colts Jaime Moore (Asst. Dir. College Scouting)

It was the second time Asst. Director: Jaime Moore got on a draft call. Jaylon Carlies was a scout team unanimous decision. Jaylin Simpson is going to be given a chance at cornerback. Laiatu Latu was considered a "When a talent line, meets the need line". Both offensive linemen were picked because of talent & toughness. The Wide Receivers were selected in part due to the arm strength of Anthony Richardson. Anthony Gold was specifically selected due to the new kickoff rules. The Indianapolis ...

Deep Dive Into Colts New Edge: Laiatu Latu (W/BleavinUCLA)

Laiatu Latu really turned around the UCLA defense immediately after transferring, post surgery. Latu patterns his game off Aaron Donald and Maxx Crosby. Latu might be able to shock some people early in the season, and earn opposing offenses respect. Weak points Laiatu has that could hold him back, or that he needs to work on? Can Laiatu be a 3 down lineman for the Indianapolis Colts, and stop the run? Latu can play inside as well, and the defense ran through him. Latu never missed a game for UCL...

Former Colts Player Answers Draft Questions!

Donald Thomas is back! Should the Indianapolis Colts make a move on pass rush, if available at 15? Is it the receiver corps, or the Quarterback play? Should Brock Bowers be a target? The secondary played poor, but is it just inexperience? Where do you draft one? Do the Colts need to change the DB coach? How heavily should Chris Ballard be looking to move up? The 1st pick needs to be an impact player, no matter the position. Indy still basically has a rookie Quarterback....

San Francisco 49ers Sign CB: Rock Ya-Sin!

@00:14 Intro @01:20 Rock is very good at man coverage, especially versus big, possession type receivers. @03:29 He never had a chance in Baltimore to get comfortable with the defense around him. @05:30 After being traded to the Raiders, he had a solid season, then bet on himself in Free Agency. @07:25 His last season with the Indianapolis Colts, he was a CB1, and played like it. @09:40 Ya-Sin's lock down ability will help the 49ers defense get to the Quarterback even more!...

Colts 2024 NFL Draft Prospects: Wide Receiver.

Too much smoke, to see the fire. Marvin Harrison Jr. is my #1 Wide Receiver Prospect, but I doubt Indy moves up to get him. Malik Nabers is not an 'X' Receiver, but he'll be top receiving target for most teams. Rome Odunze is a dangerous target on the outside, reminds me of Colts: Michael Pittman Jr. Brian Thomas Jr. is fast for a big guy, but is a project. Xavier Worthy is lightning in a bottle, but his size is worrisome to me. Adonai Mitchell is someone who could be an Indianapolis Colts, if h...

Colts 2024 NFL Draft Prospects: Cornerback

The Defensive Back position was not up to par for the Indianapolis Colts last season. Quinyon Mitchell of Toledo is the best all-around cornerback prospect in this 2024 NFL draft. Nate Wiggins of Clemson is the biggest boom or bust prospect in the entire draft. Terrion Arnold out of Alabama has great instincts, but lack of confidence, and top end speed will limit him. Kool-Aid McKinstry from Bama is not good at zone defense. Cooper DeJean from Iowa is a Swiss Army knife of defensive backs....

Colts 2024 NFL Draft Prospects: Pass Rushers

The Indianapolis Colts are trying to get an elite pass rusher. Picking 15th overall on the 2024 NFL draft, you're hoping for a blue chipper to fall. Dallas Turner from Alabama probably won't make it to #15, but if he falls, he's a no-brainer pick. Laiatu Latu from UCLA is absolutely amazing, but his neck surgery is a red flag. Jared Verse from FSU is a powerhouse, but I don't believe he is an elite pass rusher. Chop Robinson from Penn State is very fast, but has too many unknowns to pick in roun...

This Colts Free Agency Was Expected.

@00:14 Intro @02:30 Everyone the Indianapolis Colts have signed/re-signed to date: @05:05 Kenny Moore II extension is a bargain for his play. @08:01 Indy signed Joe Flacco in replacement of Gardner Minshew. @11:10 I never expected the Colts to go for a high priced player, like Sneed, this offseason anyhow. @17:05 The Colts are exactly where I expeceted them to be right now. @18:38 Signing a stop gap CB or Safety is the right move, right now, for Indy. @20:48 Bowers will not available for Ballard...

Indianapolis Colts Free Agency: Quarterbacks

Introducing the free agency series Colts need to fill a Quarterback spot, with only Anthony Richardson and Sam Ehlinger on the roster. Indianapolis will not be looking at players who are expecting big money. Gardner Minshew: Colts Ryan Tannehill: Titans Jacoby Brissett: Commanders Tyrod Taylor: Giants I would not want Marcus Mariotta, Sam Darnold, or Drew Lock, and others. Tyler Huntley: Ravens. Joe Flacco: Browns? You need to be semi-mobile and a decent arm strength to take advantage of Shane S...

Indianapolis Colts approach to 2024 Free Agency?

Let's try to figure out how Indianapolis Colts General Manager: Chris Ballard will approach this. There are too many in-house players that need re-signed, to spend big outside the organization. He'll probably spend mid money on a veteran secondary player. Where he feels he can get a top player at pick 15, could determine where he spends on a free agent. Probably not much movement at linebacker. Gardner Minshew will probably be the top target for back-up quarterback again. I seriously doubt the C...

Super Bowl LVIII Preview

The Kansas City Chiefs have evolved over the past 5 years. If you don't want to see another dynasty win so many Super Bowls, then beat them. San Francisco 49ers Quarterback Brock Purdy has been impressive his first 2 seasons. Patrick Mahomes' X-factor, won't let me be comfortable picking the 49ers to win. NFC Wildcard NFL Preview

Initial thoughts of the top NFC teams in the NFL. The Green Bay Packers made it to the dance, but do they belong? I'll root for the Packers versus the Dallas Cowboys, for my late father. Game Predictions The Los Angeles Rams at Detroit Lions looks to be a good game. The Jared Goff, Matthew Stafford is a captivating story. Who wins this matchup? Texans Colts Review (End of NFL Season)

Should the 4th and 1 pass went to Goodson, or should have Jonathan Taylor been out there? 1 play, 75 yards, and a touchdown, set the tone for the Texans right out the gate. Colts Quarterback Gardner Minshew had some bad passes, and wide receivers had a lot of drops. C.J. Stroud looked comfortable, for the most part of the game. The Indianapolis Colts were fortuitous, and fought hard all season, to end like that. There is a lot of positives to take from the season. Indy has had very bad luck with...

Texans at Colts Preview (Win and In!)

Initial thoughts of the Houston Texans visiting the Indianapolis Colts, Week 18 of the 2023 NFL season. Houston's injury report is pretty eye opening. Indy's injury report looks better, they seem to be getting healthier. C.J. Stroud has the team on his shoulders this week. These defenses for the Colts and Texans play very differently on the back end. But the front 4 of these teams are quite similar, they both set the tone for their teams. Shane Steichen can't hold anything back. The coaches have...

Indianapolis Colts Handle the Las Vegas Raiders.

Initial reaction to the Indianapolis Colts handling the Las Vegas Raiders week 17 of the 2023 NFL season. The Colts had control of the entire game, despite the stats and final score. Indy needs to cut out those plays that give the other teams momentum(Like E.J. Speed's penalty). Despite the stats, the Colts secondary did well overall versus Devante Adams, and the Raiders offense. Gardner Minshew has protected the football the past 5 games. Braden Smith proved how good he really is, even when not...

The Indianapolis Colts and the Las Vegas Raiders are on very different trajectories. Colts get back Michael Pittman Jr. and Braden Smith! Both huge for the upcoming matchup! Andrew Ogletree arrested for a domestic violence felony charge. Raiders will not have their number 1 tight end, and probably without Josh Jacobs! Indy are favorites to win, even though Maxx Crosby has been devastating this season. The defense needs to play much better, especially with tackling, in order to win. Aidan O'Conne...
