Patreon Preview from Blamo!

Derek and Peter and chat with bespoke shoemaker Seiji McCarthy.

Seiji McCarthy, an American bespoke shoemaker based in Tokyo, carved an unconventional path into the world of bespoke shoemaking after a career in the NBA. He makes some of the most unique shoes in the world. His shoes combine the conservative styling of traditional American footwear with the craftsmanship of Japanese bespoke shoemaking (think: upgraded Alden). We spoke with him about his work as a bespoke shoemaker, his take on American style, and why Japan has so many artisans.
