The first time Shaun saw Rai they were teenagers in Sunday school. He was 16 and she was 15  and they were both dating someone else, but they knew that they had a crush on each other. Neither of them could have predicted being together for the rest of their lives. How did Rai and Shaun go from a first date at a Taco Bell, to college sweethearts, to college parents? What did they do to weather every bump in the road together and how did things change as Shaun became one of the most famous faces in the activist space? In this 2018 interview for the second season of Black Love Doc, Rai and Shaun recall all the biggest moments in their life long relationship and how they have managed to come out on the other side of every conflict more in love with each other.
