The Hub links up with the multi-talented Alby Alawoya and talks Black life and community through Alby's many projects! Alby Alawoya, a prideful and hardworking Afro-Latina. Her father is from Nigeria and her grandmother migrated to The US from Cuba. The company began as a community-based co-op that planted community gardens and taught inner-city children recipes with the fruits and vegetables they planted. In February 2020 we hosted our first all adult class partnering with a local restaurant supply store. The Covid-19 pandemic shifted the company’s focus again to a full-service delivery kitchen in Arcata California.
