Episode description

More than five dozen professionals are participating in year two of the Wichita Business Journal's six-month program created to grow careers and drive progress in Wichita. “Meeting other like-minded and driven women that are also involved in the community has been very motivating,” says Crystal McDonald, co-owner and founder of Xclusive Events. “Learning and sharing about events, ideas and other opportunities throughout Wichita has been a huge benefit to my business as well.” The Career Women program is the big story in the weekly edition of the Wichita Business Journal, and is the focus of Episode 74 of the BizTalk with Bill Roy Podcast. My guests are the women who run the program: WBJ Audience Development Director Stacy Guinn and Events Manager Jaclyn Wooten. They join me to talk about the discussions the women have, the networking opportunities and even the war stories the participants tell.
