This is our third time having Daveed Diggs on the show (first for Blindspotting, and then at an event in support of Moms 4 Housing at the Roxy theatre in SF), but our first time getting to really know him and just shoot the shit. To say this Basic Bitch was fun is the understatement of the year! He digs into his childhood, what it felt like to swim in his own pool for the first time, what it was like to meet and perform for the Obamas, why he could never work for Pixar, and the truth about his Tony Awards acceptance speech. And of course it wouldn't be a proper conversation with Daveed Diggs without discussing our collective love and affection for Oakland and the Bay Area. Aside from making us laugh, he taught us about a new cocktail that we're dubbing the "Diggs Delight". For that, we are eternally grateful.
