Michael Murphy is my friend Meghan’s dad, and he works in medical response for disasters and crises. Basically, he helps keep things going as smoothly as possible at hospitals when disaster strikes. While it seems to be appropriate for me to have a guest that works in that field for the current COVID-19 epidemic, we didn’t talk about that, deliberately, in order to not add to the confusion surrounding that. If you’re looking for something about that, there’s plenty of official information on that from the World Health Organization and the Centers for Disease Control. Regardless of that, it was a very interesting conversation and we talked about public health, technology and how it affects medical systems, spirituality, morality, and humanity.
