Episode description

IRD has been the golden standard of measurement and outcomes when treating DRA. But should it be? Listen in as Diane Lee shares why we might want to use something else instead.

Diastasis Recti has been defined by one measurement tool alone, and in this episode, we discuss why IRD is not the best tool for measuring outcomes. Research shows that with some contraction strategies, the IRD is widening. Is this a bad thing? What if we started using distortion and depth instead? Diane's point in this episode is the IRD should not be guiding our clinical practice. Listen to her point that distortion may be a better tool for us to use instead.
