Transcript

Billy Cunningham, Welcome to eclipse Monday afternoon. The big event takes place about three h nine, really begins about one fifty fifty two for about two and a half hours partial eclipse. Really the eclipse also is from the west to the south to the east. Even Florida has about a seventy five percent eclipse. And all hell's breaking loose, cats and dogs are living any other Maybe

turtles are fornicating. I saw that on Fox nineteen this morning. There's large numbers of turtles and the zoos that are getting on top of each other. I don't know what's going on. Plus we have birds flying upside down reports but in a serious way. We have Governor Mike DeWine with us this Monday afternoon somewhere near Indian Lake. Is the scene you should make with your little one and Governor Mike Dwine welcome again in the Bill Cunningham Show. And can

you talk about the state government reaction to what's happening. We had a report from Tony Bender that essentially you have the National Guard on hold. Can you tell the American people what's happening of all? I think you should sing for your listeners. Indian Lake, because you and I are old enough to remember when Indian Lake came out and the song we're talking about, Yes, yeah, Tony, can you sing it? Indian Lake is the scene you should

make with your little one. That's about the only part of it I know. But Tony Bender is a DJ type kind of a guy. He could probably find it for you. Well, you know, maybe you could. You could play it sometimes. We're going to play it this afternoon if you're there. What about the National Guard? What are the concerns you have from

a governmental angle about people acting up, traffic, et cetera. So Bill looked at what happened in other states when they've had total clips over you know, the last few years, and just tons of people rolled into those communities, and the biggest concern was just traffic. Uh. And so we had the National Guard. They were actually doing you're training over the weekend. Uh. And so that was that was good. But they were ready to hold

over till today. But we made a decision, frankly, to let them go back to their normal lives, uh and not not uh, you know, stay assembled, because we don't think we're going to have a huge problem today. The biggest problem probably is going to come after you know, it's over, and then people all want to go back home wherever they're, where they've come from. And the good thing is they've been coming in here.

You know, over the last three four days. All our camp sites, uh, every state park is full as far as camp sites, people camping out, all of them that are within the you know, within the the the area where that is that is going. So bottom line, everything looked good this morning. I had a briefing couple hours ago, and uh, it looks good. We're fan. I are at Indian Lake. Her sister has a house up here, and beautiful day, very very clear. And what we did is we came up north. You know, we lived out

in Cedarville. We came up north to get right into the actual you know, the pathway, so we could see a longer time of totality. But the state state's doing well. I continue to get reports. But you know, everyone looks pretty good today at this point. Here we are Monday afternoon, and of course the eclipse at least here's about three oh nine or three ten. You're about one hundred miles north of Cincinnati. But what would be

a triggering event? You have the General and the National Guard. On hold, are we talking about M sixteen's and tanks or are we talking about traffic? Well, it's all traffic. Look, look, there's two there's two concerns that people should have today. One is you know, in traffic, and then people you know, pull over when the thing is starting and pull someplace where they get rear ended, you know, something crazy on the roads,

and we worry about that. We worry about when people when it's fall over and then everybody's okay, last time, you know, to go back home, and we think there's a lot of a lot of traffic. Then the other thing you worry about, of course, is people looking at the sun and without you know, these these special glasses and you know sunglasses don't work. These things are you know, multiple times stronger than sunglasses. So those are two big things. I think people should just enjoy today, have

a good time. This is something that uh, you know, it's not going to occur in Ohio probably you're in my lifetime Bill. It's that the latter part of the century when happens again. And you know, we were talking the other day, I think the last time this was was an wasn't

eight eighteen o six something like that. And the story was that the Cumps and his brother who was called the Prophet, knew about this because they, you know, they'd been talking to settlers and it was known at that time when it was coming, and they kind of predicted it, and that, you know, to show their show their power. At least that's one of the story. I'm not sure how is it possible to come and the profit they would know about the total eclipse of the sun. Well, they were

talking to settlers. I mean, they had a lot. What we forget is there's a tremendous interaction going on with the settlers at that at that time. Sometimes it was violet. Sometimes they're fighting, but a lot of times they're trading, trading things back and forth. You know. It does bring up that in June, we're going to open uh and this is going to be Joe Dieters as he's been he's been telling me about how important things this

is. We are opening a brand new state park, very very small estate park between Zinga and Yellow Springs. It was it's called Old Town and Uh.

The Shawny Indians, it was their main encampment in the mid in the mid seventeen seventies, and this is actually the place if you remember the store, if you're for your folks down in Kentucky, this is where, uh, the Shawnees want shoddy and just went down into their hunting ground down in Kentucky and then captured Daniel Boom and brought him back to Old Town in what is now Green County, helding for a long time. They must have got

along pretty well because he was a good hunter. They went out hunting trips together. But then one day he heard that they were getting ready to attack Boonsboro, and so he escaped and what back across jo Hio River cleared out into there. They didn't catch him, and he warned the people at Boonsborough

they were ready for the attack. So all that history is going to be kind of We're going to tell the story of the Shawnees, the Native Americans, and we're going to do it in this new little state park that's right on the place where the Shawnees were entamped and where their main main place was for at least three three very very impactful years. Governor Mike DeWine, you mean to tell me that Takumsa and a profit took Daniel Boone hostage and I

seventy five didn't exist at the time. Somehow there were just woods and rivers and creeks everywhere and marched him from Kentucky up to one hundred miles north into Ohio. And then he escaped and went back to Boonsboro and said, the Indians are coming. Yes, that is through story that that one we know is know is true. Wow, that great story. I never fascinating,

fascinating story. And this is just a great part of Ohile history that uh, you know, we want to tell in this state park and the visitor center there is almost almost completed, still be a place where people can go and learn and you know, here here hear these stories and kind of learn more about the Native Americans but also learn more about the European pioneers that were

coming and uh kind of how they how they interacted. Could you have imagined when when you're running for office, what about six years ago, to become the governor, that you would deal with massive pandemics, you would deal with warring factions in the House and the Senate and Columbus. Now you're dealing with the total eclipse of the sun. This is a song talking about like Carly Simon style, the totally did you could you even imagine this would have happened?

Well on ad add to that a horrible, horrific train wreck in East Palace. Tee No, no, I haven't no idea any of this, but you know that's what governors do. You try to get ready for these things, or or if you have no warning, you know, you try to react. So yeah, it's it's part of the deal. It's unbelievable for it kind of you're sitting at your desk and somebody knocks on your door and say, hey, hey, governor, we've had a terrible train to

railmen and East Balestine, teeth, hair and eyes everywhere. Is going to be years to clean that up. Oh governor. By the way, we have a once in a lifetime pandemic. What do we do now, oh governor? By the way, we got we have the reenactment of to Come and the profit kidnapping Daniel Boone taking him into Ohio. And by the way, there's a total eclipse of the sun that last happened in eighteen o six during the Jefferson administration, and it won't happen again until twenty seventy nine.

And by the way, Governor, what else is going on? I mean, well, the other thing we're going to sell it celebrate shortly the two hundred and fiftieth anniversary of the United States. And that's we've got preparations to do that, and they're doing that all across the country. So exciting time. Bill, never never do a moment. So lastly about the National Guard. There's no anticipation of civil disobedience or civil disa no, no, no, no, this is gonna be a happy day. People are going to

have a good time. I'm looking at the sky and don't see many clouds, at least at Indian Lake. And you know, this part of Ohio looks looks very very very clear, and we're going to have a chance to see this. And for you and me, Billy, I hate to say this, but this, this is it the only time we're going to have a chance to say that. I had on an optometrist a couple of days

ago. I'm going to get another one on in about an hour. And he says that when the total eclipse happens, which might be two to four minutes, you can look at the sun at that moment only of the total eclipse. Now, the problem is you put that message out and people may anticipate a little bit ahead of time and drill holes in your in your eyeballs. But are you going to risk it all in that two minutes and take off your glasses look at the sun? No? No, no, no,

I'm gonna I'm gonna have those things on. But the other thing is, you know you're gonna see I guess, uh, it's going to get pretty pretty dark. And uh, you were kind of kind of doing a tease at the beginning there. But apparently one of the things that people are interested in is getting reports of how animals act during that three or four minutes. It's it's dark. I mean, it's like, oh, what's going on? What are your what are the cows do out in the field?

They think it's time to come in, and you're kind of you're kind of a farm boy. You grew up on farms. I mean, you were probably a second cousin of Daniel Boone. What what a farm an? I have a friend of mine, Michelle Schneider, you know her well, and she has six horses and she wants to call in and talk about what her horses are doing, And I thought, well, calling, I don't know, well what is people are? The other thing people are doing. They're

going to see literally at zoos. What do these animals do? What did the gorillas do during the four minutes? I don't know, but well we're going to find out. All right, Governor, this this is I don't want to tell you how you do your job, but you should have somebody reporting live from the Cincinnati Zoo, Great Zoo. What are the gorillas doing? What are the drastic Well, you know Joe Dieters killed Harambe. Harambe

is dead, so we don't know about Harambe. But uh uh, last thing I want to ask you again, if called by President Donald Trump, would you become a vice president. I don't think he's calling Billy. I don't think that's happened. I don't think I've read the short list, and I don't think they didn't say. Uh, let's call well, Mike DeWine. You've been in the Congress, you've been in the Senate. Uh, you've been lieutenant governor, you've been prosecutor, you're now the governor. Did

I miss anything? Uh? And so you seem to know where the bodies are buried. If it's a broker convention and uh in Milwaukee, and and they come to you, will you come out of the back and say here, I am Governor Dowine, Vice President h I can count. And it looks like Trump is over the numbers. I don't think you're gonna be a broker convention. I think that he's clearly clearly nominated. Are you going to it? Will you be there? Yeah? Yeah, we're doing an the

Governor Oways does excuse me. Governor Oways does a welcome uh for the for the delegates and other people from Ohio. So we're gonna do that on the Sunday night before uh it starts. There's also I think a Brewer's game that day that I may they may go see. Yeah, the res are not playing, but you know, I kind of like to see that ballpark. But I'm trying to get you to say yes. If there's a knock on the door, where you respond, there will be no knock. All right,

Governor, you're an Indian lake. It's wonderful. It's fabulous, most beautiful Indian like Lemon Lake. As you remember. Now, hold on, Governor, listen up, Tony Bender. You say we play it. Hit it, Tony Bender. This is for you, Governor Mike Dwan. We're not playing Jetson's anymore. We're playing Indian Lake. Here we go. You're the I can see you and Fran right now, swaying. The air's fine, spelling in the country. Countryside is pretty in Indian Lake. Hit the

post, Hit pretty, Hit the post. I gotta come before it's drained off. Hey, hit it. Keep it in mind, Governor Mike Dwining. Fran has found a place in the summer sun. That's gonna be the total week clips, Governor Mike beautiful. I wish I had time to out, Billy, if you had that Jetson thing ready to go, I'd fly up there right now. If you had that. You should be an Indian like this is the place to be if it's beautiful to government. Absolutely.

How many miles north of Cincinnati is about eighty or ninety. Yes, it's the way. It takes us an hour to an hour and ten to get up here. You go up about sixty eight the state, straight up sixty eight. By the way, Billy was with the with the Indian Path before else wil To comps that took hostage Daniel Boone. So all right, Governor Mike dan thank you very much for kind of waylaying the fierce Tony Benner thought

that would be Shawnee, wouldn't you It was a Shawnee to come. Sorry, all right, Governor Mike Dowan, thank you, Billy, thank you, thank you all. Let's continue with more. Unbelievable. This is truly unbelievable. The Shawnees kidnap and take hostis Daniel Boone from Boone County, take him up one hundred miles north and then help shooting animals. Then he escapes when he found out undercover that there was going to be an attack on Boonsboro

and down he went to warn his fellow Kentuckians. Unbelievable. Let's continue with more. We're going to cover this thing as much as we can, as often as we can, and we're going to try to provide information you get nowhere else. We have weather reports, we have optometrists coming up. We got it all and so much more, all brought to you by ACR, Gunny Pools and Spas in the Great Frank Zie Bell Call Today Swim this year on news Radio seven hundreds WLW. He's a dovisional tool over fall due.

He'll be the Reds first NL Central test I sty cleaned nine against Milwaukee's Brew That sway back, God, Prepare for intense batting ball action from a big ballpark by the way. Electric players get to call live from GAPP today at five four one, seven hundred w l and seven hundred w l w's live stream of the iHeartRadio. Imagine waking up this time next week and being one hundred percent dead free. No credit cards, car loan or no persar.

Gunny Pools and Spas call now swim this year acer Gunny Pools and Spas coming up later as Trisha Macki, Frank Marzulo, Tanya O'Rourke, an atometrist named doctor uh Gannetti coming up. Also, we have live updates from the Indianapolis Speedway and from Rocky Boyman's garage slash driveway somewhere in West Harrison routed against the Indiana border. But until then, Chuck Ingram, Yes, sir, you're my man. I'm told by Tony Bender and others do not drive west of

I seventy five. That's about right. How bad is it? Give the American people a full report we start to see the braakelights on westbound seventy four just after you get passed North Bend Road, and it is nothing but red on my maps to the Indiana state line. Then you got all the cameras, awful lot of people trying to exit there in Miami Town. It's also affecting traffic on southbound two seventy five that's just about backed up to the Reagan

Highway. So everybody in northern Kentucky said, okay, fine, what I'm gonna do is I'm going to take two seventy five. Well, trick right there, ha ha ha ha. Right after you get past Hebron there, come to the brake lights. Everything, I'm thinking the same thing. That's right, that's exactly right. This is twelve forty Yeah. Now to give

some parameters. According to I think you two fifty two begins the partial eclipse that continues till about four to twenty correct, and that in the middle about three oh nine for two to three minutes is the total eclipse of the sun, just like in the music. Is that correct? I was gonna say you should write a song. I should totally. And also in the lake, the scene you should make with your little one. Yeah, and also Carly Simon whoused to date her in the seventies. You remember, remember that,

you know what you said you did? But now I'm pretty sure of it. Is that who you're taught? Is she talking about you? I don't want to say. Is either me or Warren Baty or maybe Mick Jagger. It's one of us three. I'm not sure who it was. Well, I'm pretty sure I know now that's the lerge out up the Nova Scotia to see the total eclipse of the Sun. I can't say exactly, yeah, who it was? Yeah, how was the trip? Can't say, Okay, can't say, fine, but two fifty two, the four to

twenty, the midpoints about three h nine depending. We have a call coming in from News Nations H. Brooks Schaeffer about what's happening in the speedway that's coming up in Indianapolis. Motor Speedway. Forty thousand have shown up twenty bucks ahead, hot dogs, Hamburgers, glasses, and there's plenty of space available. I think if you go to the website first, go to the website, check it out. But as far as traffic, it is now twelve

forty two. Anticipate is going to get better or worse. Like in Oxford, Ohio, It's going to get better or worse. It's going to get worse because you've already got break lights on twenty seven near uh Ross, near one twenty eight, the rams, then Millville, Millville, backing up there. Yeah, it's all bad, is what you're saying. Should you stay in place at this point and just listen to the radio? I think caps

you always want to listen to the radio. It's just the worst you've seen in the middle of the afternoon and nothing going on other than the total eclipse the sun. Where will you be at three nine nap staring at the back of No, No, it's once in a lifetime. I got to try to experience it somehow, But I think I'll stick to the confines of I'm okay with ninety nine points since township Anderson Township. And by the way, Florida is like thirty to forty percent. Oh so you can get to Florida.

You can go, but do not you'd encouraging motorists to be careful. And if you haven't picked out a spot yet you can easily get to it might be too late. Are you talking to anybody in Cleveland. They what about their game? They changed the game time just for that. It's opening day in Cleveland. Can you imagine if you two were sitting down at the Holy Grail, all of a sudden it gets really dark outside. Whoa, whoa? Wait, wait, what I say? Sign of the apocalypse is

what that would be? Yes, sir, some say it is. Anyway. We've had earthquakes, yep, We've had tornadoes, We've had trained derailments, we have floods. Now we have the total eclipse of the sun along with all the other supernatural events transpiring. This is not good. And it's not even November yet. And Israel's in trouble militarily because Joe Biden wants them to lose the war against the Moss and that's the elimination of Israel. And

that's a problem. Everywhere I look, I see nothing but problems. Oh my, So are you going home now? You've had enough? Yeah? What a list? What time did you start this morning? I was here at five am, so you've only put in about eight hours at this about eight all right, we'll see, well, Chuck, Finally, once again, where are the trouble spots as we speak? The biggie is about a

fourteen mile backup. We're talking about westbound seventy four. The break lights start at North Bend and go all the way to the state line, and it's only going to get worse. So I seventy four is a disaster for the next hour. Disaster. Noah, they cleared the accident near Miami Town from earlier, so we're just one step above disaster. Now, well, what happens when three ten, three fifteen, three thirty comes? Then what everybody

go home? Then it's a disaster. But that'll be eastbound Keith Hare and I everywhere. That's exactly right, Chuck Ingram, thank you. How many years have you and I done this together? Thirty two? So you're I'm the thirty two. You're older than that. Forty one. Yep. Seemed like yesterday, doesn't it. Oh heck yeah. I have to remember from good old times, like nine to midnight in Mount Adams. Those are the days that men women and talking about manly things things. Now we're done none

of that no more. We live in the world of transgender rights. Yes, we do Gender Awareness Day on Easter. That's where we are. Check Gingram, Thank you very much. I'll see you, Willie. Let's continue with more. By the way, I got a tip here from Jim Scott's wife. How about this? Write this down? UH to seventy five west is standstill from the Lawrenceburg exit to the airport exit as far as I can see. Same for two seventy five traffic exiting at Lawrenceburg from the other direction.

I dictated this bill. Hopefully it's not too messed up. No, that's the one I told you about. I said West two seventy five was slow out of Hebron all the way around, trying how do you get there? Now? What do you do? You don't you don't know. It's crowded, it's not on time anyway, and it's not going to get any better. I wouldn't think so, not for the next hour to hour and a half. Donna, thank you very much. That's good. Donna Scott once again, Chuck Ingram, thank you. May you have thirty two more

and I may have forty one more years. That'd be awesome, wouldn't that be good? Yes, we might see that. No, let's stretch it out. Let's go for the next one. The next I wrote that down, is that twenty one to fifty three. Yeah, twenty one fifty three, Yeah, I have I have the money, honey. If you got the time, freeze us now, freeze me. Put me in a I'll be with Joe Demaggio. I thank you very much, Chuck Ingram, Bye, Willie. Let's take a sharp break. Coming up next to Trisha Mackie

and Frank Marzoulo. All brought to you by Frank's Eyebell, Gunny Spool, Pools and Spas. Call now and swim this year compliment of gun eyed Pools and Spas and Frank's Eyebell. On News Radio seven hundred WLW, the Great North American Total Solar Eclipse. What will you do during our three minutes of daytime darkness. I'm going to see if that evil clown comes out I'm under my bed again and beat him with a shoe if he does. Now you're talking, I'm gonna put on my glow in the Dark lingerie and give my

husband a light show. I'm sure he'll give you a standing ovation. You better. The eclipse is coming, so I'm going to take a power nap and dream about washing Bille Cunningham's hair. Hey, that's what I'm gonna do. We're helping you make the most of it. On seven hundred l Joas you know the Great American air for Rhino Shield. I've been telling you about

them for many years. Spring is here a big time take advantage of a fifteen percent discount at Rhino Shield. I did it to protect the Cunningham home. Don't paint, don't finyl, go Rhino Shield. Get a twenty five year transferber warranty plus for a limited time. How about you getting a ten I'm sorry, a fifteen percent. I said, fifteen percent discount. Call today eight at eight Rhino forty one. That's eight eight eight Rhino forty one.

Do what I did protect your home? Say fifteen percent plus like the Great American You're gonna love the result. I'm nineteen as in Oxford, Ohio as I and first of all, Frankie, thanks for coming on the Bill Cunningham Show. I know how busy you are right now. As far as the total eclipse of the sun. What is happening as we speak now in Oxford, Ohio? If anything, I tell you, it looks like Saturday, wild and crazy night here at Oxford. You know, the Coast College

sounds really the crowds are huge. I mean, it's still very manageable, but we still have a good two hours, what two and a half hours until we get things going here. It's they got the road shut down the campus. There's plenty of space here. We're right in the main stretch on High Street. I've talked to women from a group of women from Minnesota came down. They had three locations circled on their map. They started planning this a year ago. They circled Oxford and they came right here at Oxford.

Another family from Oregon also here. So folks are across the country and we've got some of the best weather in the nation right here in the Tri State. Are those sky's cleared out nicely. There's a little high sitting cloud cover, Willie, But it's going to be nothing that's going to be a big concern for you here as far as the availability to go there now, of course, threeho nine to three ten pm is the moment of the tease of the total eclipse. The te is going to be. Then is there a

room if individuals want to get in their car and drive to Oxford? Would you recommend that because going up twenty seven can be extremely difficult at times. You know what I'm saying. Oh, I know what you're saying. It wasn't at three fifteen this morning when I was coming up here, But I know what you're saying. No, I would say, yes, do your best to get up here now if you can't make it to Oxford. And

the nice thing is all the rush I mean the businesses. I talked to the guy just open of a pizza joined six weeks ago and he's usually closed on Mondays. He's like, I'm opening today. The businesses are doing fantastic. It was a really good pizza place too. It's called Bellow and they have really good wood fired pizza. But I would say you could also make it to brooks Brookville, Indiana. You can also make it. It's kind

of underrated. There's there's portions of Harrison UH and right in Hammel western Hamilton County that will be in totality, like Whitewater UH Forests. UH. They will be in totality. So if you can make it out there, you will see one hundred percent. Because even in Cincinnati, where it's like ninety nine point five percent, you might not even notice it. It will dim a little bit we're so close to totality. You've got to get there. You've got to get to totality. You don't got to go to some big

event. Just get into the areas of Oxford or Batesville or you know, Middletown and pull off safely side of the road, off the interstates obviously, and uh and take a look at this thing. A little after three o'clock today. Now, you got to have those glasses though, Willie, I have to because we have an Optomisri's coming on later. It could be as little as two to three seconds of looking at the sun unprotected, in which

you can ruin your eyesight for eternity. However, when the media puts out the idea that when the total eclipse takes place, it is safe to take off your glasses because no sign is coming out, are you going to do that? You know, I'm trying to think what I did last time. I probably won't. You know, I'm getting old now, Willie. I'm not the young spried chicken from back in the two thousand. I can't handle any sort of illnesses here. So yeah, no, I probably will keep

minds. I know they say you can't. And also, if you looked out of the ground, you'll see little crescence. Yeah, because it's reflecting off the leaves. You know who. I'm here with Willie. Who's at your girlfriend? Trician Mackie. Which one, Tricia McKie. Yes, she's the best there ever, was the best there is. She beat me at three point shooting. I have great respect for Tricia mckin here. Hold on one second, I'm walking over to her right now, Willy and I'm going

to put around with you. I'm with Willie, Willie and I. He said he beat you. We're alive on the air. He said he beat you at three point shooting. He did not said just the opposites that you beat me in three point shooting. Oh yeah, oh you go out. But you did beat me in free throw shooting. That's different. Now, now let me ask you this, Trisha, in your long career at Channel nineteen, where does this thing rank? This is almost a religious event.

Where does it rank and coverage of these type events? Is it like in the top of the last wedding chandles? Right now all around her, I'm in the middle of the stay on. Frank actually just interrupted me. I say it from one to what from one one to one hundred hundreds the best? Where does this one? Where does this one rank? I don't know, man, I live a pretty exciting life. No, we have a witnesses. You have a witness yet, well we have to actually see it.

We got to see it maybe in the from one to one hundred, maybe in the twenties. So you got me. You're not going nuts as some people are. They think it's proof of God. Others say it's proof there is no God. I say it's proof there is a God. But a total eclipse. The next one's going to happen, like one hundred and seven in the year's totally clips. And so this is the one you got. You got the mannage somehow. Yeah, you know, it's funny because

so I was coaching basketball yesterday and I was up an Indian. I was around a bunch of kids, and the kids, who are all right around sixteen seventeen, we're all kinds of freaked out because it's just they're just reiterating what they've heard. You know that they're afraid that things are going to happen. I said, you, I said, the worst thing that we lived through our age was probably nineteen ninety nine when we thought like planes were going

to fly out all out, Yeah, River because you're shut down. Well no, no, no, I'm talking about like an event that you know what I mean. Like the anticipation was nineteen ninety nine going into two thousand and nothing happened. No, you know we were on year. I remember that. Yes, Wow, that was like a big deal, which turned out to be not the big of a deal. Well, you know,

we did earth quick we did have an earthquake in New York. You're talking about things, So you're talking about Yeah, I guess maybe, I mean maybe the eclipse, maybe the sun, maybe the moon. Maybe maybe birds will start flowing upside down. You don't know what's gonna happen at three h nine pm. You have no idea. Well we will wait, maybe frank will stop talking and maybe possible many maybe horse myle retire and I can actually sleep in. All right, both of you, Frankie and Tricia, thank

Joining me now is the main anchor of Channel nine, where nine stands for News' is Tanya O'Rourke. Tanya, welcome again to the Bill Cunningham Show.

And Tanya, is it now time to panic. I'm looking to my left. CNN. The eclipse is now happening in parts of Mexico, traveling at two thousand miles an hour. Give us a full report. Is it time to panic? Batten down the hatches, buddy, here it comes. We are in total eclipse mode all day here at w CPO nine. This is the moment we've all been waiting for. Or do you have your clips glasses ready? Yes? Keeping your phone away from the sun. No?

Are you prepared? Yes, yes you are. I have an optometist coming on in about ten minutes. I have doctor Mike Giavanetti on the west side. I noticed them on your website. I called in, but come on to talk about whether to look at it or not. I'm looking at Fox News other websites. It sure is no. The answer is no. But it appears that if you want to risk it and there's a total eclipse, no sun is coming whatsoever. Maybe for that minute or two it might be

safe. But I'm not going to risk it, are you No? And by the way, I'll be in a studio so no, me too. So from two to four World be on air, Craig McKee and I'll be in our studio. You know we are you know, control Center, I guess. And then we have every meteorologist stand out through the total totality line of whatever. And so we've got like Brandon Spinners and Batesville, Indiana, Steve Rawley's up in Hamilton, Jennifer catch Marcus somewhere along the line like oh,

Oxford, Ohio. So, and then we have a camera, literally a camera just trained on the sun with a special filter on it. You can just sit at home and watch WCPO nine and not have to wear those glasses and just you can look at the sun the whole time through our lens. That will make it okay for you to see it. But you know, really you got to get your vocabulary ready. Are you ready for first contact? Bailey's beads, diamond rings? Second contact? Are you preparing yourself

for the phraseology you're going to need over the next several hours? Here, No, sounds like a Star Trek episode. First Contact. I'm thinking, I don't well what I did with my glasses. I put my my cell phone camera light and I could not see my camera light through my glasses. So what what go to the glasses? You see like a tiny orange it's like kind of almost like an orange dot. It's not much, but we did it here a few minutes ago, and you can see an orange dot,

but you're not you're not sure what you're looking at. So it takes a second to go, oh, that's what I'm seeing. It literally takes so much away that it's just like a little tiny orange dot, yellow dot. So yeah, I mean, look, here's the thing about these glasses, right, so when I say first contact this this eclipse is only when I see the eclipse is only going to be three minutes long. That's when we're in totality. That's three minutes long essentially, right, maybe give or

take a few seconds. And that's the time that if you're in the one hundred percent totality, you can look at it because the sun is blocked, right, you can look up without glass sun. Now you're in Cincinnati, you're downtown Cincinnati. Don't do that. You got to wear the glasses because

you're not in one hundred percent totality. But from like two o'clock, starting at two o'clock, when we hit the air at two o'clock, we are going to be in first contact, which means the moon will be starting to cross the Sun. So from the minute we hit air at two o'clock until we go off at four o'clock, we are going to be in a partial eclipse the whole time. So you can't look at the Sun without these well,

I guess you can. You shouldn't look at the sun bill, So don't do it without the glasses unless you're in a total total in the totality area and we're in the actual sol eclipse, and then you can take off your glasses. And in the Kenwood area that will never be the case because it looks as if the total eclipse is more or less in Harrison, the home of Rocky Bloyman that that's where you're No, there's too many people.

Have you seen the traffic nightmare going on in western Hamilton County? Really that is a big story. And we have Raven Richard is here taking control of the traffic cameras to you know, it's a big deal, Like you know, the mess already on the highways. And it's so interesting because all on the west side. You wanted to go to Batavia today you have clear saling, no problem. But if you want to go do you want to go anywhere? West of two of seventy five northwest, you know west West,

forget it, don't you know know what you're dealing with. And that's the other thing that we've been telling people is, you know, you better have a full tank of gas so you could be stuck in traffic. What if God forbid, there's a terrible accident, right, so you might be stuck

in traffic for hours. Bring some water and snacks because it could take a minute, especially when you consider tens of thousands of people are you know, moving into Oxford, Metamora, Indiana, Batesville, blah blah blah for this this show. Yeah, and then they're all going to want to go home at the same time. So yeah, pretty much kind of like the ava and fireworks to leave the fireworks at nine thirty five. According to correct me if I'm wrong, it begins about one fifty pm in this part of the

one fifty pm goes to about four to twenty pm. The midpoints about three oh nine to three ten to three eleven. And that's going to have yes, and so what's kind of cool. So we're owned by Scripts and Scripts has stations, as it turns out, all along the path of totality. So when we go in there, we're going to show you what looks like above us. But then we're going to go to one of our stations cameras

in Texas. Now Texas is having some clouds. We got lucky. I don't know how in the world has worked out, because for the last two weeks, all we've heard every day uh uh oh, it looks like it's going to be cloudy, but right now looks good. And so we're going to we have we have stations in Texas, we have stations in Indianapolis, we have station in Buffalo, New York. So all the way on that

path, we have Cleveland, you know, the whole thing. So we're going to show you these cameras as we can as it continues to move across the United States. Very cool that we can tap into that network of cameras and it's just lucky. You know, that's the way the path goes across the United States, and our station in Buffalo, you know, should be the last view of it in the in the in the konas right, so it should be pretty cool. I am not like a space geek and a

bit of a nerd criigmate, key, total massive geek. So sad that he is stuck inside the studio for this day, but I think it'll be really fun also to see all the like being in that studio watching all the views from different places. And you know, I do have glasses in case for some reason. Right as it's about to hit, we hit a commercial break and we can go run outside and look. So he's got the glasses. But I just want to know, are you on the air, You

know, on the air at three o'clock you can go outside. Yes, I'm going to leave at two fifty four pm for a five minute break, go to the news for two minutes, then right out to Eddie and the Rock and this palatial estate in Harrison, which should be the edge of a total eclipse. We're never going to have it in Kenwell, but even the state of Florida has about a thirty five percent darkness in the state of Florida.

This is across the whole country. And it last happened here at total eclipses eighteen oh seven, and the next one's going to be only one fifty three. So I think this is our last opportunity. I'm not sure I'll be here in twenty one fifty three. I'm not sure I'll be here in twenty four, twenty oh fifty three, but no question about it. This is historical well, Tyna, great coverage, and I love the idea that if you're east of that line or west of the line. We have a

lot of listeners in central and eastern Illinois and western Indiana. Don't look at the sun because you will never have a total eclipse, right unless you got those glasses on. Do not stare at the sun, folks, do it at your own peril. I guess all right. Once again, Tanya A. Rouric, the face and name of Channel nine, thanks again for coming on the Bill Cunningham Show. And Tyne, you're a great American. Sure you, Bill, Thank you, God bless America. Let's continue with more

Check your carpets off. You're going, of course, recovering this thing thither and fro. We've had on Governor Mike Dwine. We've had on the news anchors including Tanyel O'Rourke and Tricia McKey, et cetera. We have live updates coming from Rocky Boyman Eddie Fingers in Harrison, Ohio

from his driveway. But until then, I noted an interview that doctor Mike Giabanetti did optometris on the West side of town with Channel nine News. I thought some of the information was quite interesting. And doctor Giebaneddie, understand right now, you're on somewhere in a farm in Indiana. Is that correct? That's correct. You know we're out there for sales, so we should be right into mentality when it's right around three oh five, the three h nine.

Yeah, Well, let me ask you this as an optometrist of great notes, there are some who have said that when you have the actual total eclipse, and that is that it's completely dark for those two or three minutes, you can take off your glasses and look at the sun. Do you

recommend that, Yes or no? I would not recommend. I mean, yeah, it's true, but if you don't know exactly when that moment is, it's not worth taking the risk, you know, with your eyesight, because the damage is always permanent and there's nothing they can do to treat it either. So it's it's you know, your eyesight is so valuable for those few minutes in your lifetime, it's not worth taking the risk. What damage would be caused. I'm sure it's going to happen. There'll be some malcontent

or some derelict that's going to do it. If they stare at the sun. How long is it as little as or four seconds? Or is it a minute or two? How long will it one have to look to have ideas? No, it's it's as little as two to four seconds can do a permanent burn, and the longer they look, the more it's burning. So it's the same thing as if you took a magnifying glass and we're using

the Sun's rays to burn a hole in a piece of paper. It's doing the same thing through the magnifying effect of the eyes on the retina, and you're telling me it's not repairable. Once that happens, you're done. You can't see anymore. Exactly. Yeah, well that sounds pretty serious to me because I thought, as an adult, maybe I'll take off my glasses at three zero five or three oh six. But you're telling me that would be

a very bad decision by the great American Exactly. You know, they say that during totality, for there's a few minutes during entire totality that you probably could. I'm not going to take the risk, and I don't recommend it, just for that very reason that any any damage is always going to be permanent, no question about it. I'm looking at a Fox News website and the number one item is this it's okay to look at the sun for just

a minute or two. And this expert says, one common misconception is the belief that it say it to look at the sun if it's only for a minute or two. Eclipse viewers should never look directly at the sun has going to hand cause permanent eye damage. And one cannot actually determine the few seconds when there's a total eclipse, because there still could be damage. Exposing your eyes to the sun without proper eye protection during a solar eclipse can be a

permanent damage to one's eyes and you'll be blinded. Well, doctor Mike Giavanetti, thank you for coming on the Bill Cunningham Show. Only several minutes remained before this thing happens. Once again, thank you for taking time and telling the American people what not to do. Doctor Mike Giavanetti, thank you very much. Oh, thank you, Bill. I appreciate it. God bless you. Talk to you, God bless America. Thank you very much.

Doctor. Thank you God, let you too, Thank you all. Let's continue with more and look at some of these websites that given a sense of permission to look at the sun when there's a total eclipse. That is a serious mistake, says in doctor gievan EDDI just said that a brief period during a total solar eclipse can be safely removed, but one cannot determine exactly those

few seconds. The few seconds are not worth your eyesight. So let's continue with more, and this segment is brought to you by my good friend gun Eye Pools and Spas of course run by Frank Zyebell and Moore. So we're going to see if they get quiet, what

they do. We're gonna hear all those Bury calls quiet down, and then we're going to actually send those findings back to other companies and to NASA, and they'll have all that day. So we're excited to be part of that. Also tracking the temperature. Threeh eight is showtime here on the edge of

Ten minutes is updates all over the tri State of what's happening with the total eclipse of the Sun Joining us now from the Indianapolis Speedways News Nations, brook Schaeffer, Brooks Shaefer, Welcome to the Bill Cunningham shown. Can you set the stage for what's happening in the Indianapolis Speedway? How many people? What is the deal? How clear is this guy? Give us

a full report? Yeah, thanks for having me. Very exciting day across Indiana and Indie specifically. It's so fun out here right now. We're at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. About forty thousand people are expected to come out here to the brickyard to watch the total eclipse. It happened around three ZHO six pm Eastern time. And joining the crowds of people out here, we also have some NASA scientists. NASA is going to be doing a live broadcast from

the speedway. Some astronauts as well, who graduated from Purdue University are here. So there's a lot of excitement, of course, but there's also a lot of you know, educational moments out here as well. And I can tell you there's amongst the forty thousand people are a lot of kids as well,

which is really fun to see so many families out here. I've talked to a lot of moms and dads who say, you know, my son or my daughter is really into science and we wanted to make sure that they could be here for this once in a lifetime event, even though the total eclipse is still a couple hours away. Could anyone, any any schlep anywhere in central Indiana simply go to the brickyard walk in. Is there an admission fee? What do you get when you come in? Where do you sit

or you're in the middle? Are you in the stands? Give us a full report on that. Yeah, so I know that there were tickets. I believe they were about twenty bucks. I'm not sure if they're still available yet, so I apologize for not knowing that. But if you go up on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway website and you still want to come out here, I'm sure there's a way to figure that out. But very cool. You'll be able to sit in the stands. They have, of course, tons

of eclipse glasses for people who need them. You can sit in the stands, but you can also they're going to open part of the track, so some people are going to be able to stand out on the track and watch the eclipse. So it's just very quintessential Indie. I mean you know, this area, this surrounding town is called Speedway. The Speedway is so much of life here in Indy. So really the combination of the two. Everyone just keeps telling me it's quintessential. Indie had to come out here and be

a part of this. And Brook Schaeffer as far as a moment in time in Cincinnati where we're broadcasting, from the last time it happened here was eighteen oh six during the President Jefferson administration. It's likely not to happen again for another seventy or eighty years, which is unlikely. And so just as a reporter, well, we have so much contentiousness, we have so much anger,

so much vitupative behavior between Republican Democrat Independent RFK Junior. Isn't it wonderful that there can be an event in which politics and other differences are protecide and we simply as one time celebrate as Americans a special event. Exactly. We actually were at a press conference earlier with some officials out here at the Speedway.

The governor of Indiana is out here as well, and somebody during that press conference said, you know, how incredible that today millions of Americans are all going to stand together and look up at the sky and just how inspiring that is, not just you know, as a collective, just as you know, human beings together, but also inspiring to you know, all the kids and the students that are out here to you know, want to study

science and get into STEM and really kind of inspire that future generation. And you know, I actually just talked to a guy out here who already started getting emotional just kind of thinking about that moment of everybody just all together. Just what an incredible, just kind of you know, awe inspiring, you

know, few minutes we're going to have here in Indie. I think some scientists said that about fifty percent of people who watched the eclipse, the total eclipse, get emotional and might, you know, might cry a little bit. I think it's very possible I'm going to be one of those fifty percent, no question, because in your lifetime this may never happen again. In fact, I saw the map on news Nation and large parts of Florida are

going to have a forty percent eclipse. So we're not just talking about the one hundred and time one hundred and mile wide ban from Texas up through Maine. We're talking about the entire nation is going to feel this collectively. At the same time, some consider it proof of a god, that there's no way the universe is not ordered in such a way that these events could transpire. Other people say it's a proof there isn't a god because the universe is

so vast. We have our sun as one of a trillion trillion suns all over the galaxy and all over the universe, in the Milky Way, and all the lights in the sky. So, whether you believe in God and this is an example that he does exist, or whether you don't believe in God and this is an example he doesn't exist. Either way, someone's got an answer to do this. And thank God, we have good weather. So as we speak right now, the speedway is clear, the skies is

bluesy. Oh yeah, we've got great weather out here. I know some other states are dealing with some cloudy weather today. Not the case here in Indie. We've got a beautiful blue sky day right now. I talked with somebody who visit Indie. One of their tourism departments out here. She said, because of the weather here, they got a lot of last minute, you know, inquiries of people wanting to come out here to Indie because it's

going to be such a beautiful day. But yeah, talking about the timing of all of this too, I think Indie, the next time it will be, you know, in that path of totality is in one hundred and twenty nine years. So this is just really I know people keep saying it's a once in a lifetime, once in a generation thing, but it's you know, we're not being traumatic when we say that. It really is.

And I think I'm just really looking forward to, you know, kind of just standing there taking it all in and for that moment just maybe in a weird way, just kind of feeling so small and just you know, having that moment of man, this world is so big and all of us together are you know, at the same time millions of people looking up at the same skuy Well, when News Nation, will you go live at three oh nine Eastern time? Will you go live from the in and Ouplis Speedway.

Oh yeah, We're going to be live all afternoon and I We're going to be live on the air as the total eclipse is happening. So wish me luck because I'm telling you, I really think I might get a little emotional. It's it's going to be a really on firing moment. I can't wait. I've done some quick deer Park math. The next time this is going to happen at the Brickyard will be the year twenty one fifty three, twenty. I'm not sure a lot of us will be here in twenty one fifty

three. But for how many minutes will you be in the dark completely? It'll be about three to four minutes, and you'll be Will you be looking up with the sky with your feet on the ground. Yeah, I mean I think I will be. I'm going to try and do my best bit, you know, be on TV, but also kind of take it all in at the same time. I don't know. I really don't know what to expect, and I think that's part of the excitement and all of this. All right, good luck to you. I'll be watching, I'll be

viewing. Keep your eyes to the sky, but keep your feet on the ground. Bricks, Shit News Nation, Thank you very much for coming on the Bill Cunningham Show. Thank you, Brooke. Yeah, thanks Bill, God bless you. Let's continue with more. You know, some say it's proof of a god. Others say it's proof there is no God either way. This is unbelievable. To have a veteran news correspondent like Brooks. Schaeffer says she may have tears in her eyes demonstrates the emotion of this moment.

So let's continue with more Right to You by Frank Cybell ACR A gunny Pools and Spas call Today and swim this year on news radio seven hundred WLW. Listening to a woman shop in the produce section isn't funny? Yeah, A sail on cucumbers. Listening to a woman poot next to the Granny smiths ooops is funny. Eddie and Rocky are also funny. So when you think of

an apple farter ooops, think of Eddie and Rocky. Eddie and Rocky this afternoon at three one, seven hundred w Lddston, of course, is the President and Chairman of the Board of the Sycamore Township Trustees in Batesville, Indiana. Tom Weedman, Welcome again to the Bill Cunningham Show. It's now two twenty two Eastern time. Where are you now and what is happening? Willie? I am in downtown bit beautiful downtown Batesville. I am in the Veterans

Park. It's loaded with people telescopes, people from Florida, people from Tennessee, people from Kentucky, people from everywhere here in beautiful Batesville, Canada. Company. Absolutely people are dying to get in here. They so they it looks like this. It looks like we got about twenty five percent coverage at this time. Can you tell a difference from an hour ago? No? No, no? And at what point are they saying three h eight pm in Batesville? They're on Eastern time, I think, so you have one

about another forty five minutes to go. How was the traffic thither and fro? I'll tell you what. The traffic coming over here was absolutely bumper to bumper. And the funniest thing I ended up taking pictures of it on the way because the eastbound traffic there was literally not one single car truck on the road going eastbound. Everybody was going westboud Right now, it's almost gridlock. I would think at this point, do you have your glass? I think

it might I'm not. Yeah, I got my glasses on. You don't think I'm looking at this thing without glasses, do you? Well? Allegedly I on Wednesday just not last Wednesday. Yeah, I've met on this optometrist who said basically that even if it's a total eclipse and you're looking up, you have to time it perfectly because otherwise two to three seconds of staring at the sun could cause permanent eye damage. So you know you don't want to time it quite out that well, no, no, no, I'd rather

just use the glasses full time to call it today. What did you and your wife decide to do this out of Sycamore Township, Debatesville? Why? Uh? You know what. We were originally thinking about going to Dayton, but we've the traffic, the people coming from the south might be too much, too much traffic going to Dayton, so we figured, you know what, And our son lives in Indianapolis, and he I want to know if

we want to go out on his in laws boat. But I didn't want to get into all that mess in Indianapolis, so I thought baseball was a good opportunity. It's a small town, and uh it was. It's not that far, but it's inside the actual full belt of the of the eclipse. So we figured that with it, we'll go here, have lunch and then sit in the park. With all these other great folks and watch the eclipse, and that's what we're doing. Do you have a plan to leave

at some point? Because it could be like after the EBN fireworks. I think it could be worse than the EBI after the eb AND fireworks. To be honest with you, I have no plans the rest of the evening except for basketball later on, so I've got plenty of time to get home. This is unbelievable. Well, the next time it's going to happen, it's in about seventy five years from now, so we may not be around for that. And the last time is a good chance to the other six the

Jefferson Jim Scott was just starting radio at that point. It's kind of unbelievable. People. A half a million. I had on Mike Dewe at the noon today and he said, a half a million minimum. We're coming into Ohio and the Speedway. We just had a report from Brooks Schaeffer of News Nation that they had fifty thousand people at the Kentucky Speedway. Don't get much

better than that, you know. I understand that Indiana University is filling their football stadium today because it's going I mean they're they're right on the line. Yeah. And as it comes across Bloomington and then across Indianapolis and Oxford. Somebody told me there was gonna be fifty thousand people in Oxford. And I can tell you this. Going south, going westbound on two seventy five, at the Colrraine exit, they were backed up for a quarter mile getting off,

so they were all going to Oxford. All right, Tom, we've been chairman on the board of Sycamore Township. Trustees. I'll call you later tonight at the house and see what's going on. How'd you got back? You got it, Tom, Thank you very might much good luck. See let's continue with more. And of course Willies in Hidden Valley is close to it. Joining us now is Steve washing Machine. And Steve, can you

hear me? Are you with me? Billy Cunningham the great American? Of course, Steve washing Machine is the proprietor of Willy's Sports Cafe and Hidden Valley had the good judgment, however, to set up around a golf in Columbus, Indiana, which is right in the middle of things. Steve Vanhoven, also known as Steve washing Machine, welcome again to the Bill Cunningham Show and Steve tell the American people how you schedule a golf trip to leave Hidden Valley

on today's day to go about sixty miles west. Well, Billy, I have to give credit four months ago to Adam and Russell who set it up. We called out a creak and beautiful Columbus, Indiana. I don't think maybe what the dat is when we called, but we got out here in the middle of totality. What is happening now is I speak? It's about forty five minutes from the total eeclips here. What is it like now in Columbus, Indiana? We have clear skies, We've got I'll give it twelve

and a half percent coverage at this point. I just made it. Things are good. And how many guys are with you? They're at Otter Creek. This is beautiful. We brought twenty four from around the Cincinnati area, but out of Hidden Valley Golf Club. When when Otter Creek discovered what today's date was in the afternoon, do they raise a stink or not? Absolutely not. But they are currently stacked and packed, so we might have been the first, but we were definitely not solo out here. I think the

totally cliffs where you are is about three ten. Do you have a plan and at that point, which is only about forty five minutes away of actually stopping, laying in the fairway, put your glasses on and watch it, or are you going to keep playing golf? Well, I think number one things to call the group behind us, to tell them we're stopping so that aerant balls aren't flying at all times. But yeah, we're gonna We're kind of playing it by year on how much you can see and what it's like

at this point. How dark is it? It's still you know, it's still daylight, still beautiful out here, seventy something degrees and it just kind of started, so we're If you look up with your glasses you can see it moving in, but nothing has changed at this point significantly. How busy is Hidden Valley in your absence? Hidden Valley is going strong? Actually, if you look at the map, the totality line ends in the middle of

the lake Hidden Valley. So with Willies is technically ninety nine point nine a repeating but they're doing they're doing very well. Have you thought about what is going to be like when you drive back home along with a half a million of your favorite friends. Have you thought about that? Well, Indiana is known for its beautiful back roads, but I do have a feeling it's going to take us a lot longer to get home to watch. They're pretty blueler

makers. Pee it up tonight, hopefully make it back for tip off. Well, Purdue gets six and a half points, with jnclined to take that tonight. Connecticut is good, but I don't think they're that good. Six and a half points. All right, Well, Steve, thanks for calling, and I'm glad you accepted our call from Otter Creek Golf and Country Club

and beautiful Columbus Indiana don't get much better than that. And to make it six foot putt as the total eclipse begins, and then possibly you could consider waiting for the total eclipse you're in the middle of it, to maybe drive a hit a ball off a par three for a hole in one. How many holes in one have you had? I have had two? Yes, Well, if you would have a hole in one during a total eclipse, that would be a religious moment of great note. Steve washing Machine of Hidden

Valley Willies, thank you for accepting my call. Keep playing golf. You're going to play right through this thing, correct? Absolutely where else would you rather be? Ye, Steve, You're the best. God bless you in thank you. Let's go. That's beautiful, that is wonderful. Hidden Valley set it up eight weeks ago on Monday afternoon, April the eighth, and

Oh hello, quiet, I'm broadcasting you see our Gunny Pools and Spas presents the edding Rocky Solar Eclipse Show live. First of all, can you set the scene? Rock the money, the crowds, the one hundred dollars cover charge a little bit more than the speedway in Innapolis.

What's happening and Harrison as I speak, Well, well, I can tell you right now we are set up right in a smack in the middle of my driveway. We couldn't have a better view of this eclipse which is starting to happen right now. Thousands of fans around. There's cars everywhere. We've seen Accessy in a Winnebago all the way from California. Okay, I believe that it has come all the way out here to Harrison West Harrison to view

this remonous event. How about that any The important thing here is we understand from Dean Reguez the last time a similar event happened was like during the presidency of Thomas Jefferson. Will not happen again to the year twenty one to fifty three. We may not be around for that. Put in historical context what you're watching. You've been to every EBN fireworks for the last fifty seven years.

How does this compare to the crowd from the fireworks to this. I see a lot of the same people here, Willie, just about as drunk as they were there. But it's it's a great setting. Yeah. Here the Boyman estate security. I got to hand it to you, son, Yeah, I want all that. I make sure you know, a big star celebrity like you, I got to make sure you're protected. And then

we went to know we spared no expense. Will He Well as far as getting ready for this thing, when you get with your wife and got with Cindy Abrams and her husband and Harrison City Council that you're so close to, were they cooperative and making sure this turned out the right way? No, no, but we handled it. We got it off set, we got everything together. All the eyes are dotted. When your boyman get it, come on man, when you're boyman and Harrison the wheels turned, if you

know what I mean. And everybody was corpera get a little grease. Even Harrison City Council was cooperative. So we we give a shout out to them. How do you explain this? Since you have so many young children? Rock had to explained this to the three Rocks about what they're watching? You get with your wife last night you're lying in bed playing left center right, haven't completed another long round? What you say to your kids about this?

Now? It's been pretty cool because you know, bo my tenure always been asking a million questions about it. Well, what does this mean? And how often does this happen? I'm like, Buddy, this this, this doesn't happen when you're talking about total solar eclips in this area. It won't happen again until maybe way way way late in your life. It won't be during my lifetime again. So and I was thinking about this, will you namely a singular event that all of America or most of America gets behind?

Maybe the super Bowl. But these days were so fractured right where, so everybody's everywhere, every's their own camps. But this is like an event that everybody from coast to coats is doing in America. It kind of kind of brings us together in some way. And and he doesn't recall in mind what happened to Y two K. You can't make a phone call. All the computers are going to crash, airliners will fall out of the sky, and

none of that happened. Is this similar to HY two K? Well, I will tell you about the only thing that's similar to Y two K is that if you're driving on the road right now, you ain't moving. If you're going anywhere west of downtown Cincinnati, you ain't moving anywhere. Then Rodney try to get there to help engineering what happened to him? Can I drive me to send a police escort? I called Harrison police and fire and when they blocked the roads, we had to get him here. But he's here.

Obviously everything's set up and we're looking good. Saying to talk to Sydney Abram's husband right to get that done? Yes, yes, yes, no question about it. And Eddie, as far as the exiting because you think of right now, it's supposed to be three toh nine, which is about I don't know, twenty six minutes from now. It's all gonna happen.

I sent this scene Eddie. As far as what you're seeing, if you didn't know an eclipse was going on right now, would you know it's even happening, You know, you would just think that some heavy clouds had moved in, because that's kind of the way it feels right now. I will tell you that as you can hear the winds picking up, I don't know if that's because of the eclipse or not. Yes, but we're getting these

very high clouds. But when the clouds move on by and we're getting we can see it quite well really where we're sitting, like rock said, and the crowd here is zooing, and I and Willie and I see Rocky security light on his garage just came on. He came. Yeah, just from it's starting to get dark out here, so we'll see. And I can

already feel again a little bit cooler. Rock absolutely getting cooler. It's and I'm looking up with the sun right now, and again there's a right now, just a little bit of a cloud, but I'd say it's about half cover. I'm sure I saw everyone's experiencing the same thing. But we've got the goggles out here and we're getting ready to go. But it is I mean, since we've come on WILLI, it has definitely gotten darker and there's a wind picked up. It's kind of an eerie feeling, to be honest.

Well, are the farm animals, I know, you got herds of cattle, you're like my Tana ranch huttons, like the dutt and yellow is the Yellowstone dutton or dutt and yellows. Don't even notice any odd behavior by the farm animals, the sheep, the cows, the goats, you have, all the other farm animals. What's happening with them? Well, my one golden retriever Rhino, he's he's but he's always kind of weird, so

he seems to be acting kind of normal. The other one, Elvis, who is fourteen years old, he's kind of calmly over on the side there. But I think Elvis remembers, yeah, he was there for the last eclipse. Yeah. But uh, in terms of the other animals, it remains to be seen. That'll be interesting to see what happens with them.

Any how's the drink concession coming along? Because the Rock worked out with Harrison City Council a temporary alcohol permit, and you have individuals walking around in bikinis. How's that working out? By my count, there are seventeen bars set up for the perimetery eighteen. You forgot the one on the east wing. Yeah, got the east wing? Yeah, Dutton range. Have you ran the four food trucks here? Trucks? And how many? Uh? And how many portals do you have here? Wrong? Oh? He got six?

Not enough? You have the kind of fight that's not enough. That's not enough. What I'm saying I heard him say to us some young lady a lot while ago. I am getting get into the the potty and he goes right there, the woods are right there. Just just let it rip. Oh my god, it's the family together. Because there is some concern about these are the end times. We've had earthquakes, we've had hurricanes, we've had fires, and we got floods, and now we have a total

eclipse of the sun. And there's cities along the path like Jerusalem and Jezebel. There's cities along the path like Shiloh. All of a sudden, people are saying this is proof that God exists. Other people are saying it's proof that God does not exist. Are you one of those rapture believers? For yeah? Yeah, Are we going to start sailing? Well, I don't

know if. I probably won't, but are you going to sail into heaven to I'm kind of concerned you may flip into the abyss because we now, I mean, the turtles are swimming backwards at the zoo and I seriously had a report on Channel nineteen this morning that some of the turtles started mating, and I'm not sure turtles know how to mate. We've had floods, the High River flooding. We've had the outbreak of tornadoes. We've had the hurricanes

that hit the coast. We've had the solar flares, the solar eclipses. We've had massive pandemics. We've had the Holy Land, Israel's under attack, we have bridge that are collapsing. And that's just a few of the stuff going. There's something magically occurring that I think is signed of something greater, and should the rapture occur? Should the words of John in Turkey when he

wrote down the revelation. Everything depends upon the rise of the fall of Israel, and if Israel falls because of the Joe Biden policy, these other events are taking place. I would be concerned for Eddie's eternal soul. Rock, I'm not so concerned about you and I I'm concerned about Edie. Catholic, Yeah, we're Catholic. When at the foot of the cross, if he got himself comes down and takes Eddie, then it's been nice knowing him. He's been a great partner to work with, and I love you man.

He look, I just scam my way out of it exactly as far as the show would I think. I hope he does for your sake. But after after three oh seven, three oh eight, it'll be about three minutes and then you're done. Then you got three hours to fill from the driveway. What is the plan? Well, we were told that you were gonna come back to the rest of the show. What that's what. Yeah, we're just kind of planning on hanging out and watching the eclipse. We're guests

on your show. You're doing our show. Better do a Jim Day podcast, That's all I can say. Better kill those damn things up. Unbelievable. I tell you what, guys, I don't know if this is gonna be white two k with all these other signs of the apocalypse, and that this is the final one. I'm concerned about the existence of Harrison and also Batesville, Indiana. You're on the eastern edge of it, are you? Is it my understanding that the total eclipse you too will experience it about three

oh nine pm? Is that true? We're told three to zero six time. Yeah, I said the last about three minutes thirty seconds up to four minutes, and of like marital sex, correct, gonna say, you know rocky little length even you know rock going to sleep and glues, rolling over and smoking a cigarette. But where are the three boys? Where are they protected? Are they inside the bunker? Right here? There's a little rock right here? There's another little rock behind me. He's got his baseball jersey

on his cleats. Uh. The other one he's got his shirt off. He's running around like a madman. There he is up there. Where's the old one? I got my my nephew. He is here. Jack Bunnell there, say hello, Jack. Kids are running around the waits, Chris and Tammy Waite and their son Tyler, daughter Madison's here, Deb hass is here, of course, my sister Lindsey Bunnell, and then of course the thousands and thousands of people from all across the country here as well. We're

all gonna sit around and be one and watch this thing. Can I can I speak with your oldest son for a moment? Yeah? Here, hold on, Oh boy, Yeah, what's up? Well? Can you tell me how your dad actually treats you off the air? Is he a good dad? Does he beat you on a regular basis? Do you have to pay attention? What kind of father is Rocky Boyman? I mean when it comes to football, he and I do something wrong? He always yos at me. Does he beat you when he takes you home? Does he tie

you up and beat you and put you in a closet? That's what I think. Wow, Wow, I'm getting a hold of Cydney Abrams immediately for this one. We got we gotta get out of here running. We we gotta get him off the phone. Two four one kids, put them on speed dial. Two four one kids. All right, rock I tell you what it's been great And right now, only about three and a half minutes remain before we take a break. And I tell you what. I used to do that to Charlie Luken's kids all the time. He had a kid

named Sam. I used to interview him and Charlie would listen on the phone. You have to hurry home. But what I just said was a bunch of bs, because I've seen you, coach, and I've seen what happens when your son scores a long touchdown. I've seen your wife leave the little baby alone and go running. Baby the championshe shane fence and I said, And then someone was saying, where's the baby, where's the the baby? I said, Baby's over there. I'm watching the baby. Kelly spiked the

baby. Spike the baby. It's it's beautiful. It's unbelievable. Well, right now, Rocky, what's happening? It is now two fifty two. What's happening right now? How dark is that? If you didn't know there was an eclipse going on? Would you know it? Like I said, right, an eerie feeling in the air, the wind kind of picks up.

It's definitely cooled down. And even since I mean as little as three minutes ago, as the brightness has gotten I mean right and I'm looking up right now through my my goggles here, I'd say the sun is about only one one one fourth of it is probably visible right now. It is like kind of like a crescent moon. And Eddie, what your plan when this is over to drive back to your estate in Indian Hill. How can you get from Harrison to Indian Hill before the start of the tip off tonight of

the NCAA Championship game. Well, there's a no. Charlie's right down the street. I'm gonna stop down there. I have myself a couple of those delicious roles they have. I bet I get a little dinner, uh maybe uh tip a little a wee bit, yeah, and just kind of cruise on back home about ten o'clock tonight, ten o'clock and I and the tip off. I think it's like nine o'clock, and I think Connecticut is it's gonna give about six and a half points to Purdue, a bunch of engineers

against the Huskies. I'll take vicious dogs over some pencil pushing engineer any day of the week. Yeah, I know that, all right, boys, It's unbelievable. The action is just beginning. The Great American Solar eclipse of twenty twenty four should be total in this area between three oh seven and three oh nine. And according to the optimologist I I'm sorry the optometrist I had

on a couple hours ago. He said, do not look at it, even if you could, because there's a possibility of no sun rays getting through. You don't know the two or three seconds before or after you might try something, in which case you could cause irreducible damage to the iris of your eye. You won't be able to see and you won't be able to see the Rock score any more touchdowns late in the game for the glory of Harrison. Yes, yeah, all right, guys, we'll go back to you

in a minute. We've got to take a short break here. When we continue, we're going to go back to the Rock. And what we're gonna do with that point is I take about a four minute break with the commercials, go to our brief newscast, and as it happens live, we're gonna have Rocky Boyman and Eddie Fingers live from his driveway somewhere in the Cindy Abrams estate of West Harrison. You hear the crowd in the background, the food

trucks and the booze and the tequilas being consumed. Eddie compares this to the EBN fireworks. What's gonna happen? I'm looking out at Oxford, Ohio to my left on Fox nineteen. It has packed and stucked get ready for the ac R Gunny pools in Spall solar event. From the driveway of Rocky Boyman Live at Shoma The Reds News Radio seven hundred WLW especial time you like to listen to scoon'sloan. I like to listen while I'm eating waffles. Yeah,
