My Billy Cunningham, The Great America. Welcome to glorious Wednesday afternoon in the Tri State Red spaceball kicks off about six ten to night. Last night's game listening was unbelievable. Three runs in the first, three runs at the bottom of the ninth and ten thousand walk up last night at my ballpark, the Great American and right now the Reds are a bullet to the top and possibly to the Super Bowl and the World Series in the same year. The Bank
was winning one. Hopefully the Reds win the other. And don't change my idea about Joe Burrow being signed by the Reds. Now we don't need them anymore. We got Ellie, but until then, Governor Mike DeWine, welcome again to the Bill Cunningham Show. And first of all, Governor, what's your reaction to Ellie Della Cruz coming in Cincinnati and kicking ass like mister asked the great pro wrestler, Very very exciting, double got on what three times?
I guess at least, but let me tell you my luck though, I got to explain this to your Billy because you're you're a baseball fan. So had all worked out Monday night uh, grandkids down and we were at the at the at the Reds game, and uh got to see our new pitcher pitch which was great six innings and uh what one hit which was which was phenomenal. But I had all worked out, Uh, we're gonna go and uh see Louisville played in Columbus Tuesday night, so I thought i'd see,
you know, Dela Cruz. We're all we're all set. Pat and I are up there and the grandkids and uh then about what the mid day we found out he's been called up to the Major But I did also wanted to see wanted to see Julie Bottle and saw him and he had actually hit two very uh looked like very good hits to deep deep center field, but deep deep center field there is deep well you know returns. He seems good to good contact with with all those two occasions, you know, Governor,
imagine Joey Votto would first India at second, imagine at shortstop. We got McCain third base, Ellie Della Cruz. That's not bad, that's not bad. And the Redds look to me, they can beat the Dodgers, they can beat anybody, especially a wait, we gotta talk about important issues. You got me off the track number one. No, No, but this is this, this is important. Look, this isn't is an exciting team. I got home last night after the we left left early from myself.
We saw a Votto bat for the last time and then took off in one home and you know we live about an hour there. So I got got home, turned on TV and it was the ninth inning and got to watch the Redge like that amazing come back any team any night. I mean, you know, it's just it's an exciting team. I think they could win it all this year. But uh, let's talk about tennis. Let's talk
about crim in the streets. Let's talk about professors. I told you I know nothing about tennis, I know, but you know a lot about money. You know about money, and right now, Mason City Council met yesterday, I'm sorry, on Tuesday and put up fifteen million dollars. I had on your buddy, commissioner or the commissioner, David Young, and h Warren County is going to put up tens of millions. And I talked to Bill Sites, your buddy, the House majority leader. He said, we'll do
whatever is reasonably necessary, which means they'll put up tens of millions. It's like a five billion dollars surplus and the state of Ohio lots of money flowing out of the capitol. Are you, as the governor, going to commit to the idea of doing whatever is necessary financially to keep the Western Southern Tennis
Tournament in Mason? We certainly want to stay. And you know, we've been following this and uh, you know, certainly have talked to Bill Sites and you know, he is my buddy, and you know he's very passionate about this as well. The real question, though, Bills, you know whether or not this is you know, we're still in a game here or where this game was already decided a long time ago. I don't really know, but uh, you know, if you believe story I read Jason wrote
yesterday in the Inquiry, not Latin sound too good. But look, we're gonna do what we can. This is important. We know it's important, a Warren callty. But you know, Southwest Ohio is a good way to display Ohio. So yeah, we're gonna We're gonna be helpful. But you know, don't really know whether you know this is doable or not, but you'll do what you can. And I'm being told it's going to be decided
at the end of August when I talk to the powers that be. I know the Barage and the Learners put up hundreds of millions of dollars, and it may not be enough because as Ben Navarro is a rich guy, he's worth about seven billion, and he wants the tournament in the Carolina is And so I know the government's doing everything it can. What happens happens, and if not, it's planned B. Now Plan B. How about a world
class pickleball tournament and pickleball events at Mason if that happens. David Young, Don Prince, the mayor of Mason, and others are saying, well, we'll talk to the governor. If we lose this, we're not going to give up. We're going to Plan B. Now the second issue, I know your time is valuable. There's a Senate bill on this issue. One of the great law professors at O NU your alma mater, Ohio Northern,
is Professor Scott Gerber. He's been there twenty plus years. In the middle of a class on April the fourteenth, while class was being conducted in your alma mater. Armed guards walked down his classroom whispered in his ear, you must come with us. He first thought, well, family members dead, active shooter, what's going on? He was? Perp walked out the middle of his class into the dean's office because he expressed opinions and a positive character
about about justice Clarence Thomas. He's on the Diversity Committee of o NU and he wanted diversity of thought to be included in d EI. This is nicely put in the same Bailey Wick as a UC female student who referred to biological women and a paper she wrote, and the college professor told her, I'm going to give you a zero on this tech on this paper until you get rid of the term biological women. They don't exist. And so now she's
all fired up. Fox News is covering it. What can a governor do when Scott gerber Is perp walked out of his class and then a UC female cod is told that biological women mean and a paper you get a zero? Of course, Bill, I don't know all the facts. You know, I've read a story, just one story on each and I will say that you know, gerber I note is. I'm looking at his bio here. He won the Daniel Guy Award for Excellence Legal Journalism. The Dan Guy was
my professor many years ago. At all ild ordered. But I don't I don't know all the facts. I think what we do know, though, is that the goal should be at universities. Universities have been a place of ideas and uh, you know, no right or wrong ideas, but rather the ability to exchange ideas in the classroom or out of the classroom. And you know, there's been I'm afraid I'm not talking about these cases, but
I don't know enough about these cases. But certainly in some universities there's been a movement away from that to really have only what's acceptable, only what sometimes is, you know, more more left wing, and not have a whole variety of ideas. I mean, that's that's really what universities want. Things universities should do is um, you know, not only allow students to express
their views, but also to hear all kinds of different views. And the ultimate goal what you want is the students student think and and to you know, be able to reason and to be stuent, you know, analysis of arguments and uh, you know, look look at look at the facts, and that's what you know, that's what should be going on in classrooms.
Well, you know what Bill Sites wants to do is put pressure on o NU to make sure that d ei, which is one of the commandments of modern liberalism, also includes diversity of thought and that if you're a great professor like Scott Gerber selected by his students as the law professor of the year. A few times that this guy was perp walked out of a class with armed guards, taken to the dean's office where there were aida police were also present
with guns available, being told that he's not collegial enough. And I hope that state government can tell our colleges universities this cannot stand. On a second issue, on no time is short with the governor that I want to know how you're going to vote in August because the High Democratic Party has a sixty percent threshold to change its constitution High Democratic Party constitution as a party. Are you going to vote yes or no in August to require sixty percent for constitutional
amendments. I'm going to vote yes. Bill. And you know one thing that I don't think has been really talk much about is think about when you learned in in high school or grade school. Uh, you know about how we change the US Constitution, the US Constitution, And it's not easy.
It is something that you know, takes a lot of hoops that you've got to go through, and so people, it seems to me there's a comparison between we US Constitution and the state Constitution U and requiring it to be sixty percent uh, you know, seems to mean not to be a huge, huge barrier change in a a you know, a document that is really supposed to be a fundamental uh rights of the people of state. Look the other
thing that has been pointed out and you pointed out in the air. But many times these these constitutional amendments can get on there because one side has a whole bunch of money and the people from outside the state of Ohio. I mean it's as as someone you know said, uh, the other day, you know, we enshrine in our Ohio Constitution certain certain basic rights of people.
We also enshrine in their certain rights of casinos. Uh. Just you know, casino has come into Ohio and want to do certain things and spend a lot of money and get something, get something passed um, so again, you know, protecting our constitution and looking at it from the point of view is a fundamental document, just as we view you know, the United
States Constitute. Yeah, when you were in the US Senate, it took two thirds of the House, two thirds of the Senate, three fourths of the states to pass the Constitutional Amendment, which means this is overwhelming support. And there's so many issues about abortion, about waiting periods, about sonograms, about disposal of baby tissues, the bodies that remain and should this happen,
Should that happen. That's legislative, that is not constitutional. And when you have these rich tech executives coming in from Planned Parenthood in California saying, by the way, here's fifty million dollars. We want to thrust abortion on demand up through the moment of birth and thereafter on Ohioan's position, and as healthcare. If you read the title of the damn thing, hell, I'm in favor of healthcare. Then you read the body of the document is oh my
god, this isn't what I'm voting for. So it's up to the people to become literate and to understand what the hell's going on here. Well, you know, I'm for it. I'm going to vote. I'm going to vote guests, and certainly urge others to vote guests as well. Now, lastly, we got I know, you don't get much news from Cincinnati. Cincinnati's our own little state. You take Cincinnati, Covington, and Newport,
that's our own little state. But the blood's running in the streets. There was a report a couple of days ago that in the year twenty twenty two there were over twenty thousand shots fired in the little city of Cincinnati. Geographically twenty thousand shots. I imagine in Cleveland, Columbus it's even worse. Fortunately, only five hundred times that it hit somebody. Well, we have a massive crime problem in this city. We have terrible schools that are flunking everywhere
I look. CPS has fgh, J and K and L. When it comes to grating, twenty five percent of the kids in any one day don't even show up for classes, and those who do show up flunk, and so then we have massive problems crime in the streets. Has all that could be done with guns been done? Because those are inanimate metal objects that don't hurt anybody. Somebody pulls the trigger, And what can a governor do in Ohio when blood's running in the streets of Cincinnati, even eight year old girls
are getting shot. Yeah, look, Bill, we're seeing this not just in Cincinnati. We're seeing it in every major city in the state and even even the midsized cities. The reality that you know, UH and been involved in these issues for a long long time. The reality is that the most violent crime is caused by a relatively small number of people, and so it's
targeting them, getting them off our streets. You know, we have a bill that we would hope the legislature would pass that would would really target to repeat violent offenders, something we have done and this become as a shock to you, but you know, we now have the ability and have had for a few years, to take casings that are found in the crime scene and
to match those and to put them into a database. And what we were finding is that many police departments did not have the ability to do that, that didn't either have the equipment or did not have the time or the money, UH to do that. That's how you solve these crimes. And so we've put a special effort in with the help of the legislature to have mobile
units that they go out. And also we've been getting some money directly into some of the local law enforcement agencies so they can do a better job of of doing that. Again, that goes back to catching the criminals. Everything we've done, uh and made it clear to every every mayor. UH. You know, if you want us to come in and I say us that means you know, the highway patrol um and come in and be of assistance. UH. We can certainly, you know, step up, step up
that presence in any way that the chief wants us to do. We're very mindful that this his local control. State shouldn't be involved, but we're there. We're you know, we're there to help with the patrol. We also can bring in UH prole officers. And you know, many of these people who are out there shooting, uh, you know, they are on parole, they're violating their prole and we can yank them up. So and working with local law enforcement and working with the local mayors, we can do this
and have done this well. Lastly, UH, I know you still owe me a cherry pie from fran There are some who are saying that it's been a while it's been about seven to eight months since I won the bet with you on you winning by more than ten percentage points. Tony Bender, my producer, has said he's still waiting for the cherry pies, not eating it since November the ninth. And I want to see when the cherry pie is coming here. All right, Okay, I've got to I've got to ask
Fran. Bill Comingham wants to know Fran when the cherry pie is coming because he remembers that I bet your cherry pie when you want it, I would like it Monday or Tuesday of next week. That gives Fran plenty of time at doing it. I often make bets penny pays off relative to meals, and then you do the same thing. But I'll look forward to Monday or Tuesday a cherry pie from Fran. Let me try to negotiate this with France.
Governor, thank you very much, and you're a great American. Thank you, all right, thank you, thank you, Governor Mike DeWine. All right, let's continue with more. And once again, Professor Scott gerber perped walked out of a law class for believing in conservative principles and a woman you see refers to lady, says biological women, and she is smite it with a jawbone of an ass. We're in trouble. Let's continue. Bill Cunningham, News Radio seven hundred. It's Rid versus Blue. What there he'll
be an old school clashes. Our red legs take on the Dodgers, Baby Goode, will our Nettie Bashers get those layers. The business looks up. It is God point out when you get the call from Gabfe tonight at six ten on seven hundred WLS seven hundred w LW's live stream of the iHeart Radio app, Bill cunning him, Here are you worried about outliving your retirement? By Billy Cunningham, the Great America. Let's continue, and you heard from
the governor about an hour or so ago plus. Red Spaceball kicks off about six ten to night with La Della Cruz at all kicking the crap out of the Dodgers and their five hundred billion dollars payroll, but nonetheless a couple issues
of percolating. Number one Jeff passed her, according to media accounts, in about one hour at two o'clock today, is going to walk in the Federal court and throw himself on the mercy of the court, and he's gonna plead guilty on a plea deal and joining you and on Al's James Bogan and James spoken criminal offense Attorney number one. What Jeff Pastor did is allegedly more egregious than a prop anyone else. He took bags of cash, flights to Miami
to my Denard did her deal. You had also pag sit and fell in doing what he did. But nonetheless, what Jeff Pastor did is a different
category. Since you've practiced law so often in federal court in criminal cases, what's the procedure about to occur in about an hour today in federal court with Jeff Pastor, Well, they filed a change of plea form, which basically they're agreeing to a certain plea where it's a plead a charge of honest services wire fraud, which is a fancy term for all the stuff that he's alleged
accused of doing. And what's going to happen then is it's there's going to be quite a long process for the presense investigation where Jeff Pastor will be interviewed, they'll do a whole bunch of other stuff. Run the federal sensing guidelines work up and sensing will be some months down the line. I mean, for example, PG sentence Fell. Look how long ago he was convicted and he hasn't been sentenced yet. Now, why does it take so long?
Tony Benner wants to know. If you're in commonplace court, if you're in NI Kenton County, it takes about six to eight weeks after guilty an order for the PSI to be prepared. The judge knows all about the guy, even that three to four weeks. Well, how come it takes I think in senten Fell's case it might be a year. How come they do a lot more stuff with The sentencing guidelines in federal court are very strict and it's not exactly the simplest math, and that's one of the things that gets worked
up and wrangled behind the scenes. Actually, what happens is that when the PSI comes out, a copy goes to the defendant and the defense lawyer, Well, the fense lawyer gets he gives it to his client, and the defense lawyer can file an objection to it, and oftentimes you'll also have the defense file of sensing memorandum. Basically RUI, Hey, this is how we
feel the sensing guidelines should work more in my client's favor. And it's amazing with Jeff Pastor, right after he was elected, he went to a developer and said, to get my best efforts. It'll take one hundred and fifteen thousand dollars annual salary to be a consultant with a developer, and also bags
of cash. Now in this case, the FBI coerced him to get on a private plane and fly to South Beach, and that was wired up for sound and audio and also video, and they have all these conversations which Jeff Pastor about money and bags of cash and so much more, all on tape and video ready to go. So he hadn't nowhere to go but plead guilty. But it's amazing that the culture of city council was such that whether you're PG. Sittenfeld or to Mind and Hard or Jeff Pastor, you wanted to
monetize your position. Two Democrats, one Republican. It's amazing. Any indication because Toma Denard got about eighteen months and federal prison for women she fell on the sword, is Jeff Pastor likely to get more or less? I would see him getting less because of acceptance of responsibility. When you for acceptance of responsibility in the federal sensing guidelines, you get a two to three point downward departure, which basically brings you down on the scale from the amount of the
sensing range that you're looking at. So in PG. Sittenfeld's case, he's put everyone's backs up against the wall, went to a lengthy criminal trial. Here we are months and months later, foul motions for new trial, continues to maintain his innocence, and he's going to be sentenced at some point by twin now in the end of the year. I guess, for events that took place two or three years ago, what are we looking at for PG. Sittenfeld. I don't know. I mean, I read back when the
trial is going on what we're looking at. But based on the sense and guidelines, you're not looking at anywhere close to the maximum sentence I believe, so PAG might be looking at three to four year or something like that. Maybe something like that. Let's talk about what we talked about with a governor about an hour ago, and that is as a constitutional amendment up in August
that would require a sixty percent positive vote to change the constitution. I wouldn't note that the Ohio Democratic Party itself has its own constitution and which it requires guess what sixty percent to change the Hio Democratic Party constitution, But explain the arguments pro and con of requiring not fifty percent plus one but rather sixty percent, and now the result might be wrong. Well, the Democrats arguments sounds
like rules for thee but not for me. But here's why it's important to have more stringent safeguards, like with the US Constitution, which, by the way, if this ballot measure in August passes requiring sixty percent to amend the constitution, it's still gonna be significantly easier than it is to amend the US Constitution. The US Constitution, our friend Orlando Sanza pointed out in his op ed in the Inquiry, the US Constitution has only been amended twenty seven times.
There've been over eleven thousand failed attempts to amend it, and Ohio has been amended one hundred and seventy two times. With the federal Constitution, they require a two thirds vote in both Congress the House of Representatives, and the two thirds vote in the Senate and seventy five percent of the state's ratifying. And just to show how this stringent procedure protects the future from the political passions
of the day. Back in eighteen sixty one, right before the Civil War, there was the Corwin Amendment that was being pushed by President Buchan and to try to keep the Union together, which would have kept slavery legal. It was ratified in both houses of Congress. Spot So, so if we had the rules in effect then and now, Ohio got real close to ratifying slavery because at that point it still required fifty percent, and that would have been
awful. If it had just required fifty one fifty one percent of the vote, there's a good chance coro An Amendment would have passed and slavery would have made been made legal. And just to show how else this stringent procedure protects us from the political passions of the day. In nineteen thirty three, there was an amendment push to limit everybody's annual income to a million dollars. How'd
that go? Didn't pass? But if it did pass, I mean it's a terrible way to legislate by constitutional amendment, because if in this place Planning Parent it's coming to town with literally one hundred million dollars paid for by Planned Parenthood. Had got that money from the federal government to convince Ohio Whens this
is about woman's health. You're a personal viewpoint on abortion may be different than mine, I'm not sure, but nonetheless, we can all agree that the Constitution to amend that sacred document should not happen one hundred and seventy two times in one state because it requires too low a limit. Is that correct?
That's correct? And it allows outside interests from people from outside Ohio, whether it's Planned Parenthood, Ahlu, George Soros to pump money in to camp people in the state's campaign for We're essentially out of state interests and this undermines the legislature in my opinion too. The legislature, they're the ones who are elected
to enact laws right now. Thirdly, I want you to wax philosophical with me for a few moments many years ago a conversation with the great Judge Thomas H. Crush aka the Crusher, And on some morning, this is like fifteen twenty years ago, I had a guy who was dealing marijuana and I was in front of a I'll use his name, Judge Maurice Kneehouse, who was a very you might not recall him, but he was a Democrat, great guy, big heart, but he sent like nobody to jail for almost
anything. He had a big heart. And then I had a case that same morning in front of Judge Thomas Crush. So at nine o'clock I was in front of the Crusher. At ten o'clock, I was in front of Judge Kneehouse on the same charge, same kind of person, neither one, neither one were married, both had some children, neither one had criminal records, and both had good letters from friends and family. And in front of the Crusher, my guy was sent to the High State Penitentiary for four years.
I got in front of Judge Kneehouse and he got a stern warning from the judge don't do it again. And he got probation and walked out of the front of the courthouse on the same set of facts. So that afternoon I happened to find myself on the third four hem Many County Courthouse, and I go in and see the Crusher. He and I were buddies, and I said, Judge, let me ask you a question, How's it fair that I can have the same criminal case in front of you and my client
goes to jail. And I have the same criminal case in front of Judge Maurice Kneehouse and my guy doesn't go to jail. How is it fair to the system that in one case prison and the other case basically nothing. How's that fair? And he leaned back with his pipe and said to me,
at that point you could smoke in the courthouse. He leaned back and said, were part of this is the uncertainty of punishment that when you commit a crime, you have to think am I going to get the crusher or am I going to get Judge Gilbert Betman, And I said, Judge, most of these criminal defendants don't know anything about that. They don't understand you at
all. So I want to ask you, James Bogan, as an emin a criminal offense attorney, right now, if you have a criminal case and it's assigned to Pat dink a locker, you're likely to get a different result then in front of some liberal judge like Jennifer Branch. How is it fair on a criminal case that justice becomes the judge and not the set of facts. Well, on the surface, that look doesn't look fair at all.
But at the same time, every case is always different, and there's always little intricate details that end up differentiating cases in my experience, But yeah, it's overall if you have identical facts and identical factors. Yeah, you'd like to think you should have identical outcomes across the board, but you don't because
I know you actively practice now and I do not. I can imagine if you have a case and assigned to Judge Pat dink Locker, You're gonna tell your client, well, you know, we got a tough judge here. Almost everyone goes to jail. It doesn't grant motions to suppress. And then you get someone like Judge Jennifer Branch, who you have to speak kindly of. I understand your practice in front of her, and if I had a case in front of her, I would say, you know what, we
got a pretty good judge for this case. Is that fair? On the surface, that doesn't look fair, But you know, at the end of the day, you're dealing with human beings here, not robots and computers. Yeah, at the end of the day, it's I often say, justice is the judge. It used to be most of the judges in Aminy County would struke people constantly. Now most of the judges do not. But as
the nature of the beast. Once again, James Bogan, Criminal Events Attorney, thank you for coming on the Bill Cunningham Show, and with your permission, will do it again. Thank you, James, thank you, thank you for having you always a privilege. God bless you all. Let's continue with more once again. After two o'clock today, Jeff passed to her schedule to be sentenced. I'm sorry, schedule, will plead guilty. Then the
PSI will be prepared. He'll be sentenced, probably in the fall or winter, likely to go to prison in order to save time and to save efforts, PG sit and felt put the whole system through everything, which it means he's likely to get a more harsh sentence. Let's continue with more. Plus we're gonna have during the students report. I hope the Red starting lineup tonight
exciting. Gamp I've not had a more exciting game in Cincinnati, I think since twenty twelve or twenty thirteen, and that was something about a ten thousand walk up. And the same thing is likely to happen tonight, Bill Cunningham News Radio seven hundred WLW. I had a conversation last night with a lawyer friend of mine, who, by the way, is gay, and he related to me that in the gay community there's too much silence going on when it comes to transsexual rights relative to children, and that he related to me and he won't come on there to talk about it, which I understand that there's got to be one way of looking at things in the gay community. Otherwise you will be ostracized whether you're a lesbian or a gay male. You're an adult.
Live your life, no problem with the great American Live work, get married, enjoy your life. I'm a libertarian in that regard, and away you go. But this gay lawyer said, to have a six, seven eight year old have to choose what sex they are, and to be taught about sexual issues when you're seven, eight nine years old, when they're not sexual
beings and they don't know about these things is ridiculous. But in the gay community, there's a silence happening because of a fear of being ostracized or being criticized. But I know that most gay Americans feel about the issues about transsexual and transgender rights for children in a similar way that I feel. They can't express it, but I just did. Let's continue. Fastball covered right center field, that's going to the wall and the big fellas turning it on. He'll round first, and he will roll in the second. And the first major league hit for Elie de la Cruz is a double and it was an absolute bullet
that came in the third inning. Elie de la Cruz had a big debut last night, twenty two thousand fans cheering as the Reds ended up coming back from being down eight three to beat the Dodgers nine eight. We are keeping an eye out for tonight's line up. You can catch all the action here on the big Ones, starting with the inside pitch at six ten. I'm Jack Crumley. Our next update at one thirty, Breaking News, Anytime News Radio seven Ball w I'm Martin Hook, vendor of Navage and nasal care,

Jeff Brantley, Welcome again to the Bill Cunningham Show. And of course we're gonna talk about your history with thunder and lightning, going back to Mississippi State, talk about your time on baseball tonight, talk about your time as Reds broadcaster for sixteen years or so. But as a long suffering Reds baseball fan, I felt and heard something last night I've not heard from maybe about
ten years. How can you, as a great baseball broadcaster and historian, put into the mix the actual debut of Elie de la Cruz and also the performance of Andrew Abbott the night before and the fact right now, Brandon Williams is going for the Reds tonight. How exciting it was at Jeff Brandley. I'll tell you what, Willie. It was exciting to see the reaction of Cincinnati having this kid come to the big leagues. I mean, there's been a lot of expectation, a lot of kind of looking forward to this for
a long time. But there were a lot of folks at the ball game last night. Everybody was excited. And what was so crazy about this whole thing is we talked about all the tools that this kid has, but the one thing that people have been had an exception with him is that he doesn't walk very much. Last night, first major league plate appearance, what does he do? He draws the base on balls, no question. And I bet the Dodgers are saying, look, this kid's gonna fish all night.
Throw it off the plate, throw it in the dirt. He's so excited, he'll be swinging. But it didn't happen. And I thought when he walked the first time up, I said, that was exciting right there.
Well they could they continue to try to throw the slaughterer and breaking ball, the different pitchers down and into him, and he just totally laid off on it, but I would imagine that he kind of got used to that in Triple A. After hitting the ball one hundred and seventeen one hundred and eighteen miles an hour, guys gus start trying different spots to try to get him out. If he lays off those pitches, then you have to throw the ball over the plate, and that is when you get in trouble as a
pitcher. I think David Bell before he got kicked out of the game. But nonetheless, David Bell is given interviews after the game that it's going to come down as always the starting pitching and of course relief. And it's exciting that we thought Hunter Green was going to be the second coming of Droy Good. He might still be, but let's face it, he's hurt, not going to pitch. He should pitch tonight, not going to pitch for maybe
the weekend. Nicolodolo was spectacular the first three or four starts, then he developed I think a leg problem, and Graham Ashcraft appears to be the real deal. The first six starts, I mean, he looked like Roger Clemens, and the last several starts looks terrible. Before we talk specifically what is Graham Ashcraft doing wrong that maybe you can help correct. Well, I don't know how much I can help in that category. I'm not the pitching coach
broadcast. Don't forget that, But I will say this for Graham. If you're only pitching at one eye level, hitters are going to pick that up. I've talked to some of the guys that were with the Brewers. They just totally eliminated the inside pitch. They were only looking up and out over the play. And that's kind of right where that cutter was going. And so in order for him to go back to being the successful pitcher that he was in the month of April, he's got to begin to change eye levels.
He's got to throw strikes in the bottom of his own and then come to that sweet pitch that he lights up and away from those right handed hitters. Is he physically hurt in some way? I don't think so at all. I just think it's more about pitch selection and execution than it is anything else. Of course, I try to watch everything, and I'm watching last night al Lighter. I still have bad feelings about him because of the playoff game. I still don't like him. I think the Reds lost four to
nothing in nineteen ninety nine. Very unhappy about that. But he compares I don't know, he's not quite in the Hall of Fame yet, Andrew Abbott to Tom Glavin as far as a great kid spin rate, which didn't exist twenty years ago. I don't know what your spin rate was, but the spin rate is elite, according to Al Lighter of Major League Baseball Network, and he compares him to Tom Glavin. Is that a bit premature? I
think probably. I think probably so. I mean, Glavin's in the Hall of Fame, and Glavin had pristine control and that came over a period of time. And I think when you watch Andrew Abbott pitch, the mechanics that you see are very similar to Tom Glavin because he kind of gives you that little bit of back turn. He hides the ball very well as he brings the ball to the plate, and he's able to throw three different pitches for
a strike. I think the kid number one, he's not afraid, and that's the probably the greatest asset that you can have as long as you've got the tools to pitch up here. If you're not afraid, then you're going to get better. And I think that kid not only did he pitch great his first time out, He's going to get better. Why because I don't see a kid overthrowing. When I watch Hunter Green it is easy smoke. When I watch Graham Ashcraft, he needs a location, his location difficulties.
But when I look at a kid like Andrew Abbott, I don't see a health alarm leg problem. I see a twenty one, twenty two year old maturity. I see his family going nuts in the stands, which is unbelievable. That's great, But Andrew Abbott needs does he needs to be nursed along as much as a Hunter Green. One's a power pitcher, maybe like a
Schmoltz, And the other one is that Tom Glavin boats successful. But to make the next step for Andrew Abbott to stay up here for the next fifteen years and pitch for the Reds, what little adjustments because you know major league hitters, they're going to adjust. They have the tape they're going over and over again, the counts one and two. What does Andrew Abbott throw in this account when there's a power hitter bouting and the accounts three and one?
Is he gonna thrown off speed pitch. What minor adjustments does he have to make? I think for any of these young starting pitchers, and we have a stable of them, let's be honest, it's kind of like having four or five kids around the house that are three or four years old. They're learning. They're gonna be some that are going to pick things up rather quickly
and do exactly what mom and dad say. And they're gonna be others that are going to bang their head against the wall and tear up the room until they could figure out how to do it the right way. And a lot of these guys are going to follow that same pattern. They're going to be some guys that go out and they throw strikes, they change speeds within the zone, they're able to throw their breaking ball when they're behind the account,
and they're going to have some success. There are others that are going to keep doing what they're doing and keep doing it the wrong way, and they'll end up getting sent back down to Triple A. They'll figure it out, they'll come back to the big leagues and they'll finally calm down and do what they're supposed to do. Tonight, you got Noah synder Guard who's got a six point five four ERA A against the Brandy, and Williamson has got a
four point two nine ERA, and Noah is having serious problems. Sprandon Williamson is not when I look at some of the betting lines, which I guess now we can discuss. Nonetheless, the Los Angeles Dodgers are prohibitive favored. But I see tonight the lineup is going to come out in about a half an hour or so. But but I see that isn't the pitching matchup tonight
on the side of the Reds. I think that it is. I think ultimately, when it comes down to that, you've got a bunch of veteran hitters on that Dodger club, and that's why the line moves the way that it does. The biggest issue in tonight's ball game is how the Reds are gone to synderguard, because if you get on base, you can expect the
Reds to steal not only second base, but third base. Synderguard is by far one of the worst pitchers and holding base runners in Major League Baseball, and the Dodgers as a team are dead last and last by a bunch wow, So the Red's got to run on them. Tonight they are going to be running. It's going to be a track meet as long as they can get on base. You might recall nineteen ninety four you had started with the Reds and Deon Sanders came up. I'm sitting in the stands. It's a
riverfront colisseum. I think it was synergy at that point, not sure, but you're sitting in the stands and there was a ball ahead to kind of a left center field. It was a looping liner. That was a single. Deon Sanders took off and he went to second third and scored because the left field had kind of looped the ball in his second base, So as Deon Sanders was approaching third, he just kept on going through the stop sign
and scored from first on a single. Is that the kind of speed that Ellie has, I believe so. I think watching him run from home to second base and the double that he hit in the gap last night kind of made me flashback, not only the Deon Sanders, but to Billy Hamilton, that that type of elite speed that they've got an extra gear where nobody else can go. And this kid's big, but he's big and he's still quick and he's still awfully fast, and he's got more power. I guess the
eggs at velocity. I like to know some of the eggxit velocity of Kevin Mitchell, because I guess that didn't exist anymore. I thought that was a bad dude. When he hit the ball to left field man Neck, I said, oh my god, look at that. What was the egg? Do you think the eggs a speed of a like a Kevin Mitchell was in one hundred and fourteen O prior? I think it was. Well, let's remember this, Willie. We didn't play with the same baseball back then that
they're playing with mouth contrary to popular opinion. Tell me tell me about that. Well, the baseball didn't have the same juice to that it has now. So when the ball comes off the bat, it's coming off the bat with some serious velocity. Anyway, the bats are harder, the balls are round, tagging tighter, so the ball's gonna jump off quicker. But take nothing away from a kid like Ellie da La Cruz. When he hits the ball he could hit. He could hit a softball and hit it a country
mile. The guy's strong, he's got great hands, and when he hits the ball jumps. Is that the design in Major League base that they deny that that's the case that those who speak on the sub of you know, it's the same way. But I just noticed something's different about the balls, because I can recall that the players of yesterday that would absolutely hammer like Barry Bonds would hammer the ball, but there was no expertise saying it's going one
hundred and fourteen miles an hour the baseball. And if they did intend it that way, that's a good thing because it's more exciting. But nonetheless, is this the intent of the game or just the way it is? Well, I don't know. I don't sit in the front office of Major League Baseball, but I do know what a baseball looked like in nineteen ninety and I know what a baseball feels like today, and there's there's a bit of
difference. And when you cut the ball in half, I think the scientists would tell you the subtle All right, Jeff Brantley, have you seen a more exciting two games? If you take Andrew Abbott and then take Ellie de la Cruz, what would you compare that to? You know, I think it's just the next coming of a championship club, and it may come at faster than what people actually realize, because, to be honest with you,
willie this division is not very good. It's a winnable division, and the Reds baseball team has just as good a chance to win this division as anyone else. They're playing good baseball. They've just got to be more consistent. If somebody, if you would have made that remark in March, when people have said Bradley's losing it, they laughed at me. But these kids could
play. They're good. I mean, anybody that watches this Reds club play, there's not another team in baseball, not just in this division, but in baseball that plays as hard as they do. And I think there was a ten thousand walk up. I spoke to one of the Reds officials and their website crashed. The Reds website crashed about five or five thirty last night, and it was like they couldn't get the tickets. And I saw the attendance in like the fourth inning was a lot difference in the attendance to start
the game. So there were thousands of people lined up. Maybe they should delay the start of the game ten minutes. There were a lot of people that came in late. I can tell you that right now I was watching them trickle in. Well, Jeff, is more exciting the way than it was last year losing a hundred games. Would you agree? Amen? Brother,
Amen, I like winning. I'm not afraid to say it. All right, Jeff Brantley, you're a great American, And of course you're in the Hall of Fame all over Mississippi, all over San Francisco, and at one point you'll be in the Hall of Fame for the Cincinnati Reds. But I'm excited. Haven't felt this way in June. I don't know since twenty thirteen. Haven't felt this way in ten years about the Reds and I and
they're young, and they're aggressive. The way baseball is now structured, all these players are going to be here until at least twenty twenty nine or twenty thirty, no matter what else happens. I'm glad they committed a Hunter Green. By the way, he's missing a start today. How serious is his injury. I don't think it's that serious. I think it was just an issue that kind of cropped up from his last start, and I think they wanted to push back to start a couple of days, and you know that
happens. I mean, it's just part of being a starting pitcher. That happens to even the most veteran of guys. It's not just because he's a young guy. It's just one of those things that kind of popped up. You're better safe than sorry when you're in the month of June. Who's faster Hamilton, Dion Sanders or Ellie de la Cruz in a race from home to home to home. I don't know, Willie, I tell you what. I haven't seen enough of the Olla Cruise to actually tell you, but um
I would. I would hate to have to put between Billy and Dion because those those two fellows. Yeah, it is unbelievable. Dion Sanders had a ninety four ninety five exciting you were here, Well what was Dion like in the locker room? But you know after he was an extremely normal, personable individual. Correct, he was just a regular guy. But I mean he
was fun. I mean that that team here that we had here in Cincinnati and ninety four ninety five, I mean we had we had a lot of fun, and we had a lot of fun both in the clubhouse, on the field and off the field. I mean, our guys always hung together and it was and we won. We won a lot of ball games. Yeah, except for the strike. And you know, you had an MVP, a Hall of Famer and Barry Larkin, and I like to have seen what would have happened if you could have complete some of those some of those
strike and shortened seasons, so it would have happened. Who knows, But once again, Jeff Brantley, excitement is back in Cincinnati f season, first place, believe it or not. And the FC hasn't lost a game. They're in the semifinals of the Cup. You got the tennis tournament coming at Kenwood Country Club in September. The tennis are going to happen in August this year, nonetheless, And you got the Bengals picked by some to win the
Super Bowl. Now you got the Bengals, the Reds in a position where the World Series and if come the trade deadline August first, and if the Reds are in first place by then, I wouldn't be surprised if Nick Crawl and some others wanted to end maybe a starting pitcher available at the end, and the Reds find themselves in a quite enviable position, and the Dodgers are not that good and they got the Cardinals coming up, and then we'll see
what occurs. But Jeff Brantley is going to be exciting night to listen to you, and Tommy and all of us will be listening. And once again, thank you for coming on the Bill Cunningham Show. Thank you, Jeff, Thank you. Really all right, let's continue, We never stop, We simply continue. After two o'clock today we scheduled. Jeff Brantly was on earlier talk about his ideal last meal, and uh, it's difficult to think about a time when the Reds have been this
exciting and might have been ten years ago. I don't think that, like somebody said on Twitter today Willie that that this that game last night was the most exciting one since Game two of the ninety World Series. It's been a while, not Game two. With that groundball down the left field line, Billy Billy bates right and Joe, Joe Oliver and Billy scored. That was a synergy slash riverfront correct. Have you noticed that, Bengo? Now hold on segment. We got the kid here. Well, this happened Monday, Babowski, this happened Monday. Well let's hit it before we get to the iron cheek dead at the age of eighty one, Bingo, Colin Babowski, Welcome to the Bill Cunningham Stoode report with a segment. Now, Colin, can you
tell the American people what you did? At? I asked In Oakes a couple of days ago. Give the American people a full report. So at asked an Oaks two days ago. I hit three holing ones as a celebrity hitter for veterans on a whole six. Now explain, because as a celebrity striker, you stay on the tea as the group cycle through and then they might pay a few extra bucks for the charity for you'd hit one shot on their behalf. Describe each shot, what club did you use? Where was
the wind, what was the spin rate? Where was the hole? Give me a full report. All right, So whole six there was as a two two tiered green, which there's two different levels. Um, the pin was on the lower one or left, which means it was it was easier for the ball to you know, travel down there and maybe loop around into the hole. Um, I think on a little full wind behind me.
But the many of them came through. I think like thirty two of the thirty six came through, and I hit a forty eight degree for them and four shots each many of them, I think the almost two out of four of them moments hit their green every time. But uh, it was very clear and I could get down and it was nice, easy shot down there, hit eight or nine? What's your head? It was a forty eight degree wedge. Uh, it's two degrees off from a pitching wedge. Wown.
So you hit the first one, okay, and people going crazy, right, going nuts? Yeah? That the group, the group I was with went bonkers. I mean They were very excited, and then what about this? And then and then here comes the second group, whatever time it was, and you nail one. There they they that was one of my best reactions I got. They were all hugging me and throw me around, and it was it was amazing, very very great feeling and a bunch of
high fis. I was super excited, and actually I didn't know what too much was going on. It was a lot at the time. Now, now you hit two of them, then you hit the hat trick. What about hitting number three? Well, the cool thing about number three is one of the people who kind of run asked Oaks, came out after he heard I knocked two down. He's like, all right, show me what you got very first nice. So I get four shots per group, and the very first shot of a four group, I hit it so far right it
goes underneath an ac fan of a house. Whoa. So it was not a very good first shot, bad bad lie on that one. That must have been a temp star shot shank. Yeah yeah. And then the second shot pool a little bit, and then the third one I nailed that. The team, the team that was there, they were they weren't in complete shock, and the pro was going crazy and he was on the phone with uh, one of the people who run back the notakes, and he was
telling them and it was it was just an amazing and unbelievable feeling. Had you ever had a hole on one before, like when you you're you play at LaSalle you're a freshman, I mean, if you ever had one like when you when you're playing for the school, or like you know, when you're out there playing with your buddies or anything. I had not. The only thing I close to that was a pull out for eagle on one of a part four Heatherwood and our and one of our rounds during the fall season.
You know, I played golf in my life now for sixty years. I've hit tens of thousands of shots in different climates, different courses all over the world. I've had a total of one, and you had three. Many many golfers do not get one. And you know you mixed out with some luck and uh maybe some pressure from the friend veterans in from you, that appreciation to be do good maybe, uh maybe it goes in every once in a while. Now, Cola Mabowski of LaSalle, Uh, you're a
bright kid, your futures. I want to ask you a few questions. Are you ready? Yes? I am read? Is the square root of thirty six? That would be six? Who is who is the governor of Ohio? Who is the How many US Senate seats are there in all fifty states? What is the total of senators in the US Senate? So there are a total of one hundred senators? Who per stake? That's pretty good? Now about that is the capital of Kentucky, Richmond? But no, that's Virginia. Come on, dang it, Come on, um, Frankfort?
Is it? Oh? Now? Frankfort? Right? Yeah? Answer? Now? Who did America fight during World War Two? Um? We fought the Axis Powers. We fought Germany, Italy, and Japan. Who did America fighting World War One? World One? Oh? Is? Um, it's actually very similar. We fought Germany again. Um, I don't think Japan was in that. I think Italy was a part of that. And pretty good, I don't pretty smart, I think that was most of it. One more, one more question, Colin, When when's Willy going
to invite you to the Friendly Confines for around of golf at KCC. What's your my handicap? Yeah? What's your I'm gonna it's around ten right now. Ten you'd have no handicap, no chance. Well, yours is five. I'm a five now, but I'm playing bad right now. Oh, it's a good time for you to get out of the capital in California. Call it needs to show you a couple of things. What's California from? That's pretty good. I need to show you how to get your second hole
in one? Well, who was the leader of America during the Vietnam War? There were two presidents? Who were they the Vietnam War? Vietnam? Oh gosh, I remember this from eighth grade. From eighth grade, uh, American history class from he's from Texas, Vietnam, Texas we have J I knew Reagan was no no, no, no late. That's too late, J L L J. There you go right there. And then Richard Nixon, Yeah, who didn't do crap about that? That's it. Well,
I'll tell you what. You're a fine young man. Your parents should be proud. And when you get down to a four or five handicap, give me a call. I'll take a few bucks away from did you did you? Did you keep all three balls? Where you're where are the balls. Yeah, I was gonna say there after I hit each and every one of them, I storm away in a pocket where I keep nothing else, and all three of them they are in there, and they're gonna be safe
keeping. And eventually when I get the uh the pro was nice enough to give me the hole in one flag. Good I will those will be lined up right next to its LaSalle High School. Good luck to you and miss you and God bless America. Colin Babowski, thank you very much. Bless you guys, Thank you so much for letting me do this. God Bless America. Thank you. That's that's a good. That's how make kid?
Do you get one? I've had one in my life. I mean three people other people have like one baby who he's got three in one day. That's almost it's got to be a record. I mean it was at a VFW out golf outing at Ashton Oaks on Monday, and the kids smart,
he's not stupid, No, he's not. Now Also, today we're gonna honor the Iron Cheek, well, well, the the Iron Cheek, a standout Greco Roman wrestler from Iran who gained global fame in professional wrestling with his nineteen eighties rivalry against the likes of Hulk Hogan passed away today at the age of eighty one. The Iron Cheek former WWF World Heavyweight Champion, inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in two thousand and five. Do not ask for
whom the bells toll the Iron Cheek they told for you. Let's hear a little bit about the Iron Cheek. Maybe not? Hey, well you have any cuts? It cuts from the Iron Cheek? Was Jean mean Gene should be right at the top of the audio and Bill Cunningham cuts Who's one of my favorite announcers of all In fact one compared Mean Gene Okerland to Marty Brennaman. Now, how about that matchup? Mean Jean's got some great people to talk about in heaven. Will either having matches up there? I'm sure like
crazy, it's odd it in sports. And also, let's see Josh Allen is featured on the cover of Madden NFL twenty four for some reason, of the Buffalo Bills instead of our man Joe Burrow. No, we'll see what happened unbelievable, Andy Mack see what happens segment, Yes, sir, give me out of the Studge Report. We've scheduled Daniel Greenfield to come up in
about twelve minutes. Okay, a new book on Barack who's saying Obama and the disaster he was for the American people segment hit It Willy in honor of Elly Day La Cruz, and also the Reds win and sad news about the Iron cheek and Colin Babowski of LaSalle High School with the hat trick of holes and one almost possible. We leave you with the immortal words of the Stude

Hello, Hello, helloo, Hello, quiet, and I'm broadcasting of all segment your reaction last night, The Reds solution three nothing in the first they listen eight to three, and as I predicted on Red's opening day, they're narrow marching to the
judgment seat of God. Well, Freddie Freeman hit that when the King to Coney Island last night, Willie and I thought, well, it's o v er. But then all of a sudden, the Red Legs go nah babannah and they come back. And what a thrilling victory, and what a thrilling call from Tommy Thrall, the king of them all. Jeff Brantley was on earlier talking about his ideal last meal, and uh, it's difficult to think about a time when the Reds have been this exciting. Might have been ten
years ago, I don't think that. Like somebody said on Twitter today Willie that this that game last night was the most exciting one since Game two of the ninety World Series. It's been a while, not Game two. With the groundball down the left field line, Billy Billy bates right and Joe Joe Oliver and Billy scored. That was a synergy slash riverfront correct. So I
don't know how long has it been. Well, it's been a long time, but I mean, you know, probably people left and said, you know, they got that's it. They lost faith, Yes, but we did that guy didn't I think he did last night. I did lose faith. No, I didn't. You didn't. Lance did give me some sodaed Rocky. Rocky, let's his wallet here, I know. I got a fifty out of it, and I got one of his credit cards. I went over and over and bought a couple of things at Kenwood Town Center with
one of his credit cards. I used the American Express from some lawn furniture. And there's no cash in it. I thought he said had some cash. What now? I took the fifty out and I bought everybody lunch in the building. He's so cheap. Rocky is cheap, and he's got nothing but silver and gold and platinum credit cards American. He's got more colors in there than the Rainbow. Thank you. Well, I don't know about that. Do you leave your wallet here because he's still here. He's got so
much they that's the case. There's nothing in it. Well, he let's hit it before we get to the iron sheet. Dead at the age of eighty one, Bengo
Colin Babowski, Welcome to the Bill Cunningham Stude Report with the segment. Now, Colin, can you tell the American people what you did? And I asked In Oakes a couple of days ago, give the American people a full report. So at asked a Oaks two days ago. I hit three holand ones as a celebrity hitter for veterans on a whole six. Now explain, because as a celebrity striker, you stay on the teas the group cycle thro and then they might pay a few extra bucks for the charity if you had
to hit one shot on their behalf. Describe each shot, What club did you use, Where was the wind, what was the spin? Right? Where was the hole? Get me a far report? All right, So a whole six there was as a two two tiered green, which there's two different levels. The pin was on the lower one or left, which means it was it was easier for the balls, you know, travel down there and maybe loop around into the hole. Um, I think on a little
full wind behind me. But the many of them came through. I think like thirty two of the thirty six came through and I hit a forty eight degree for them and four shots each. Many of them, I think almost two out of four of them moments hit their green every time. But it was very clear I could get down there and it was nice, easy shot down there. Which college did you hit? Hit at eight or nine? What you hit? It was a forty eight degree wedge at two degrees off
from a pitching wich. Wow, write that down. So you hit the first one, okay, and people going crazy, right, going nuts? Yeah? That the group, the group I was with went bonkers. I mean they were very excited. And then what about this? And then and then here comes the second group whatever time it was, and you nail one. There they they that was one of my best reactions. I got.
Um. They were all hugging me and throw me around and it was it was it was amazing, very very great feeling and a bunch of high fis. I was super excited and actually I didn't know what too much was going on. It was a lot at the time. Now, now you hit two of them, then you hit the hat trick. What about hitting number three. Well, the cool thing about number three is one of the people who kind of on asked Oaks, came out after he heard I knocked two
down. He's like, all right, show me what you got very first nice So I get four shots per group, and the very first shot of a four group, I hit it so far right it goes underneath an ac fan of a house. WHOA. So it was not a very good first shot. Bad lie on that one. F must have been a temp star shot shank. Yeah, yeah. And then the second shot I pool a
little bit, and then the third one I nailed that. The team, the team that was there, they were they weren't in complete shock, and the pro was going crazy and he was on the phone with uh one of the people who runs after Oakes, and he was telling them and it was
it was just an amazing and unbelievable feeling. Had you ever had a hole on one before, like when you you're you play at LaSalle, you're a freshman, I mean, if you ever had one like when you when you're playing for the school, or like you know, when you're out there I am with your buddies or anything. I had not the only thing I'm close to. That was a pull out for Eagle on one of a part four at Heatherwood and her and one of our rounds during the fall season. You
know, I played golf in my life now for sixty years. I've hit tens of thousands of shots in different climates, different courses all over the world. I've had a total of one one, wow, and you had three. Many many golfers do not get one. And you know you mix that with some luck and uh maybe some pressure from the friend veterans in from you that ucation to be do good. Maybe, uh maybe it goes in every once in a while. Now call him Abowski of LaSalle H. You're a
bright kid. Your futures. I want to ask you a few questions. Are you ready? Yes? I am ready? The square root of thirty six? That would be six? Who is who is the governor of Ohio? Who is the How many US Senate seats are there in all fifty states? What is the total of senators in the US Senate? So there are a total of one hundred senators who per state? That's pretty good. Now about that is the capital of Kentucky, Richmond? They no, it's Virginia. Oh, come on, dang it, come on, kum, Frankfort
is it? Oh? Now, Frankfort? Yea answer? Now? Who did America fight during World War two? Um? We fought the Axis Powers. We fought Germany, Italy and Japan's Mary. And who did America fight in World War One? Worldar one? Oh? Is Um, it's actually very similar. We thought Germany again. Um, I don't think handled in that. I think Italy was a part of that. And pretty good, I'm pretty smart. I mean I think that was most of it. One more, one more question, Colin, When when's Willy going to invite you
to the Friendly Confines for a round of golf at KCC. What's your handicap? My handicap? Yeah, what's your I'm gonna check. It's a round of ten right now, a ten, you'd have no handicap, no chance? Well, yours is five. I'm a five now, but I'm playing bad right now. Oh, it's a good time for you to get out. There's the capital of California. Colin needs to show you a couple of things. What's California? That's pretty good. I need to show you how
to get your second hole? And one well, who was the leader of America during the Vietnam War. There were two presidents who were they the Vietnam War? Vietnam Oh gosh, I remember this from eighth three from eighth grade UH American history class from he's from Texas, Texas. Did we have J? I knew? Ray Reagan was no, no, no, that's too late J L LBJ. There you go right there. And then Richard Nixon, Yeah, who didn't do crap about? That's it? Well, I
tell you what, you're a fine young man. Your parents should be proud. And when you get down to a four or five handicap, give me a call. I'll take a few bucks away from did you did you? Did you keep all three balls where you're where the ball where? Yeah? I was gonna say there after I hit each and every one of them, I storm away in a pocket where I keep nothing else, and all three
of them are in there, and they're gonna be safe keeping. And eventually when I get the the pro was nice enough to give me the hole in one flag, good I will those will be lined up right next to it. HI going good luck to you, miss you and God bless America. Colin Babowski, thank you very much, what's you guys, Thank you so much for letting me do that. God bless America. Thank you. That's that's a good kid. You get one. I've had one in my life.
I mean three people other people have like one, maybe two. He's got three in one day. That's almost it's got to be a record. I mean it was at a VFW out golf outing at Ashton Oaks on Monday. And the kid's smart. He's not stupid. No, he's not. Now also today we're gonna honor the Iron Chic. Well will the Iron Chica. Standout Greco Roman wrestler from Iran who gained global fame in professional wrestling with his nineteen eighties rivalry against the likes of Hulk Hogan, passed away today at
the age of eighty one. Uh the Iron Chic former WWF World Heavyweight Champion inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in two thousand and five. Do not ask for whom the bell's toll. The iron cheek they told for you. Let's hear a little bit about the iron cheek. Maybe not, well, you have any cuts? It cuts from the iron cheek. Gene, mean mean gene should be right at the top of the audio. And Bill Cunningham cuts, who's one of my favorite announcers of all. In fact one compared
mean Gene Okerland to Marty Brennaman. Now, how about that matchup? Mean Jean's got some great people to talk about in heaven, will either having matches up there. I'm sure like crazy is added in sports. And also, let's see Josh Allen is featured on the cover of Madden NFL twenty four for some reason of the Buffalo Bills instead of our man Joe Burrow. No, we'll see what happened unbelievable Andy Mack see what happens segment, Yes, sir,
give me out of the Stuage report. We've scheduled Daniel Greenfield to come up in about twelve minutes. Okay, new book on Barack who's saying Obama and the disaster he was for the American people? Segment Hit It Willy in honor of Ellida La Cruz and also the reds Win and sad news about the Iron Cheek and Colin Bobowski of LaSalle High School with the hat trick of holes and one almost Impossible. We leave you with the immortal words of the Stude
report spots. Thank you, thank you very much. Let's continue with more. Of course, Red starting pitching tonight includes Brandon Williamson Bright and Noah synder Guard and then tomorrow or Graham Ashcraft, who has been struggling against c K himself seven game winner already Clayton Kershaw tomorrow at twelve thirty five. So the Red should win the next two, is what you're saying. I hope. So then they go to Saint Louis Stansas City in Houston, and the next
road trip US is pretty good. Yeah, Kansas City stinks. Let's get so to Saint Louis. Thank God on seven hundred, all of you. I want to better myself. That's why I'm giving up hoarding and throwing all of this junk away, even all of those flat cats I found under my bed. That's also why I listened to Scott Sloan and everyday guy who deals
with the same everyday problems I do. Plus he's pretty funny. Look, I'm about the real stuff, the problems and the issues that actually affect you, but I also make sure we have a little fun along the way. The only thing I heard now is Scott Sloan check count Sloaney tomorrow morning and nine on seven WLW, and be sure to catch his podcast on the iHeart
Radio ad this September. I'm fully cutting in the Great American. Of course, we're living in essentially the third Obama term, separated by four years of Donald Trump, and some say a fourth Obama term is going to start in twenty twenty four. A new book is out Barack Obama's True Legacy. Barack Obama is true and legacy, how he transformed America. And of course the author of this great book is Daniel Greenfield. And Daniel Greenfield, welcome again
to the Bill Cunningham Show. And I want to go back to the beginning, Daniel, but I want to skip ahead briefly to a meeting that happened in the summer of twenty sixteen when Obama was in the White House in the Oval Office and the re meetings held about the false information about the Republican candidate.
At that point, Donald Trump explained to the American people what happened at that summer meeting in twenty sixteen, Well, King at was it was a cool It was an attempt to target political opponents using the entire might of the intelligence community, the Justice Department, and to do it under the guise of
national security. Of course, we know a good deal of that. What does supports to remember is that the people who are doing this have not actually gone away just because Obama is out of office, because it's not just about Obama. What we focus very much on Obaama, we were talking about is the Obama administration, which means the people who are doing it are still very
much an office instation. And while some people, a few of them have paid the price we've seen Peter Stir's off and WESA Page the kicked out of the FBI. The bottom line is that the people, the entire network, the networks, the Clinton and Obama network that did this are still very much where they were before. So for those who only read the headlines, imagine a meeting in the summer of twenty sixteen and all the polls were indicating Hillary
Clinton was very likely to win. But there was a problem because James Comey was holding a news conference in July that said that this email server difficulty of Hillary Clinton was extremely serious. If a Republican had done it, there would have been a multiple count indictments against Hillary Clinton and God knows who else, but because there was a fear that someone outside the circle would win. Obama Biden, there's national security clapper call me got involved in a conspiracy to do
what did Donald Trump? So they were going to stop. They were going to stop. I mean, what was at stake here beyond the election, was having their abuses exposed. They could not risk a Republican administration coming in, certainly not a Trump administration coming in and peering back all their sins over
eight years. So they needed to stop Trump by any means necessary. And the Clinton campaign had already produced a good deal of materials for the angle that they wanted to follow, which would become to be known as Russia Gate. It was this claim that Trump was tied in with the Russians. We've all seen this play out with the Stewardsier. But the key reason why this was so important is this was not just a line of political attack. It was
a line of investigative attack. And thought they just said that Trump was a bad, bad man that would not occasion in the action by the Justice appointment alone, by the intelligence community by bringing in Russia. This was a calculated plan coordinated with the Obama White House to make sure that the intelligence community would be brought into this, that they'd be able to treat this like a foreign enemy threat, which meant that all the gloves would be offered, be no
legal protections whatsoever. And running this past about and Biden was part of the process because ultimately the buck did indeed stuck with them, so I would imagine then September October, it was still looking like, well, thanks for working the leagues from the Obama administration to the news media in this country indicated that Trump was a Russian asset, when the opposite was true. It was Hillary Clinton who committed illegal behaviors with Russian to find dirt about Trump during the Miss
World contest. It proved to be false. The FBI knew it was false, the ci knew it was false, the d I knew it was false. But after the election one Trump won, then the real panic set in because now, oh my god, well we got a real problem now, because we've been lying to federal judges with affidavits before the fires are courts to
get illegal search warrants. And if Trump is actually not tied down with impeachments and tied down as president with investigations we all might be found out how much of a panic was Obama, Hillary Clinton, and the FBI in in January, February, in March of twenty seventeen, there was certainly a lot of concern there. And now, unfortunately the reality is that Republican administrations don't have a great track record of going back with the bureaucracy was doing. And so
a few of these people actually paid a price. But they were absolutely worried. They believed that potentially, if you know, the Trump inmistation had executed the material they actually revealed all of this because right now we've seen pretty much nobody go down for anything close. The course of them reports ended with basically nobody's facing any consequences. Kevin Kline Smith ended up with a year which is
served basically on probation at a leftist organization. The other two cases fell through, but they were absolutely afraid that they would face the most serious consequence as possible, and so they had to do anything possible to protect themselves. And so we went through like a thirty month process with Tamala report, and after all that, thirty FBI agents tens of millions of dollars. He testified before the Congress in the middle of the Trump term. There's no there there,
There was no Russian through Donald Trump to affect our election. It was all a bunch of bs. We go through really three years of the Durham Report. He comes out about a month or two ago with the same information. No one's taken a fall other than the Kleine Smith, which means nobody took a fall of those responsible, and that continues today. So then the Biden clan takes over and the old Obama cry out comes back into the White House
in order to run the Biden administration. Secondly, how Obama destroyed race relations in America for his political gain, leading to the broken nation we have today. Fifteen twenty years ago, race relations are pretty good. Obama gets elected in November of twenty eight. At that point, the great majority seventy one percent of American people say race relations are great. A person is judged by the quality of their work, not the color of their skin. Things are
good. But then the twenty ten election rolls around and it looks as if Obama is going to get is going to lose big time. So Obama played the race card. How did Barack Hussein Obama destroy race relations in America after and during his presidency. But we are still kind of dealing with the aftermath of the twenty twenty Black Lives Matter rise. But all this really got it
start as an electoral program, as you said, under Obama. You know, initially Obama his image on being a non ratio there's not a black America, White America. It comes in twenty ten. The mid terms are bad, and they're only getting worse each time. Each time an election comes up, he jettisons the whole post racial thing. He becomes an explicit, real ratio warrior. And part of that is using the Justice Department to cultivate or
will become Black Lives Matter. Before Obama, race riots really very much in the rear view Europe. People would walk back to the La riots in the nineties, and that was a long time ago. Obama ushered in the new wave of race riots and the key moment where he was the Ferguson riot, which Obama's Justice Department came in and actually cultivated the organized There is a part of the Justice Department people who generally don't know about the Community Relations Team whose
goal is to resolve racial conflict. They operate secretly, they came into Ferguson, they began organizing and bringing everything up. They helped build this organization and they were doing it in see there's a larger leftist agenda here, but they were doing this also to help Obama and Democrats win elections. You actually see a pattern of these things the Ferguson Arts from twenty fourteen before that's been the events in twenty ten, twenty twelve, and of course the snow conincidence that
all this was happening in twenty twenty. These things are scheduled around elections. They're meant to boost turnout, especially in the black community, and to intimidate political opponents. So these are not just race rights, their political campaign events that were being organized from within the Justice Department. We talked about Russia in the Justice Department, the race rights are also coming out of the Justice Department. Well, hands Up, Don't Shoot was a lie, and in twenty
fourteen Obama was rather tenuous about his legacy. What was going to occur? And when Hands Up, Don't Shoot proved to be a lie, it took
about nine months for that to occur. There was no recompense to see and ends of the world which has collapsed, set up camp in Missouri, said we're here for the duration, and they kept putting on individuals to tell lie after lie after lie that the police officer was the victim of a vicious assault by Michael Brown who had just committed a strong arm robbery and a delicateessant,
and the call went out. The police officer, I think his name was Darren McGavin if I'm correct, he shows up at the scene to see what's going on, and the Obama Justice Department, after about a year, determined then Michael Brown turned and ran at the police officer. Assault at the police officer inside is Ferguson police car. And then that is what was being told
by some in the beginning. But by the time CNN and the mainstream media got done, race rides broke out all over the country and Obama was uniquely positioned Daniel Greenfield to stop that from occurring, but failed to do so. He wanted to format racial difficulties because it fit his political goals, and if he was a popular president in twenty twenty twelve, twenty fourteen, none of this would have happened, but he had to gin up the black vote in
the liberal vote. So Obama race riots for political purposes that continues through today. In Black Lives Matter has collapsed the organization because the leaders of that group use all the money donated to build great homes. Now. Thirdly, I want to talk about Biden carrying on Obama's policy of financing terrorism in Israel. As you may know, about two weeks ago, I completed a two week tour of Israel. I came back more and more positive about the Jewish people
and what's happening in Israel than ever before. How did Obama poison America's relation with Israel that continues with Biden today. Well, unfortunately, we're at twenty people killed in Israel so far this year. This is something that we can very much trace to Obama and Biden. The administration has restarted a massive amount to age to terists as Obama did, and Obama very calculated, We decided to create a break with Israel because he wanted to shift the support over to
Iran, to a Islamic terrorist state. He did this very effectively by using the media to create this myth that the ken Yahoo Prime ministers yelled Israel was somehow insulting him on a regular basis, and of course once again playing the race card and claiming that this was racism. These things were escalated really as part of again they foreign policy dispute, because the Obblization wanted to support the Muslim Brotherhood, which is a cousin of Al Qaida in Egypt and other places,
they wanted to back Iran. As part of this, they had to dump a market traditional allies Israel, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and other countries that have been traditionally aligned with the United States. Obama talked about doing this as far back as two thousand and five, two thousand and six, long before he was seriously going to be president. This was part of the Islamic agenda. Yet he ratialized this, and once again this was the pattern we discussed
before about creating racial conflict. He was creating racial conflict in an area of foreign pount, in an area of America's relationship with Israel. But there was a point that where everything just became about raci no matter what. And meanwhile, Israeli's Jews and even the Americans who were non Jewish, like they were forced who was a veteran of Afghanistan and Iraq, who was killed in Israel and results of the Pail Force Act banning US funding Paris in Israel. These
people were deals were being supported politically and economically by Obama. How dangerous is it right now? Because my time in Israel, I suppoke to some Israeli government officials and they said, this is about the most dangerous time we've had in the past several decades because of what's happening in Iran, because of the policies of Baraku, saying Obama and the Alkhalites that run the Biden administration from Obama, why do Israeli's feel as if this is a very dangerous time because
of America's non support of Israel. What's happening now with Iran? What's happening with Israel? Give us your view on that Iran is moving forward with its nuclear program. This was always going to happen. This is what the Obama I ran you amounted to. The only difference is that they've had trouble lowering sanctions on Iran, but they've managed to get billions of dollars in sanction early through South Korea, through other sources, through Iran anyway, which means Iran
has more money to finance terrorism. It has more money to pursue nuclear program, and a nuclear program is not just directed at Israel, but at European America. They're using ballistic missiles that they're getting through Pakistan through North Korea to build weapons they can strike much further out and beyond that. Iran's financing terrorism in Israel, and the Bidonistration is also financing terrorism in Israel. So there's
been an upsurge of violence under Trump. Three people were killed in Israel in twenty twenty after he caught aid. This year, a radius and twenty people did so that's a massive increase in casualties. And while most of this are was still basically safe rocket attacks, terror attacks are a growing reality, and they're growing because we're putting money in Triran. We're putting money into the PO
and other terrorist groups. Lastly, about a minute remaining, isn't it true that Obama and all of his friends and alcoholights manipulate in control the Joe Biden administration. It's the Bidistration consists of Elizabeth Warren's people and Obama's people. They're the most radical elements around. And Obama in vacation permanently in Hawaii, but his people at the wheel, they're the ones who set policy. Biden hardly
sets policy, hardly knows where he is. The destructive policies that are undermining America, brought America at home, they're allowing China free rant are coming from Obama's people. I'll tell you, Daniel Greenfield, it's frightening. And I had a guest on a few days ago that talked about the next administration. Maybe Joe Biden is the presidential candidate, and Barack whus saying Obama is the vice presidential candidate. Many have gone to Michelle and said, you got to
run for president. She says, I don't want to run. My life's too easy. But Barack Who saying Obama could run for vice president. Even the twenty second Amendment doesn't talk about running elected as vice president. Then he would be the acting president if and when Biden mentally cannot perform, in which
case he's the acting president. And most scholars I've spoken to said Obama could become the president again, just can't run for re election in twenty twenty eight, where we may have a twelve year cycle of Obama is the leader of this country internationally destroyed the four years of Donald Trump's administration with lies, and the media seldom reports on it. But Daniel Greenfield, your book does which is Barack Obama's true legacy. It's out now. Dennis Praeger says, it's
profoundly disturbing. And once again, Daniel Greenfield, thank you for coming on the Bill Cunningham Show. Good luck. Let's get the word out to the American people. Thank you so much, Daniel Greenfield. Let's continue. Wow, the line becomes available seven forty nine, seven thousand, Bill Cunningham News

Willie morrowtas today for our men and stripes. And it was announced today that there was thinking, there was a high, high priority that the that Joe Burrow was gonna be on the cover of mad in NFL twenty four, but that went to Buffalo Bill's quarterback Josh Allen Kid. How about that disrespect? There's another one on the shoulder, Josh, thank you, thank you?
Sastically another what about MESSI FC Cincinnati go to the US Open Cup semifinals three to one win last night over the Pittsburgh River Hounds f C. Yeah, I would call it Jeff thirty on my phone, but I had some history recently that I shouldn't make leave it alone. That's the SEC plays in the US Open Cup. Semifinals August twenty third. They're gonna play the winner of
Birmingham Legion f C or Inner Miami CF. And there's rumors today that Messi, Lionel Messi, the great one himself in soccer or football, is headed is next headed to Inner Miami CF. They have a game. What is this contract to play any mlfion? Billions of dollars? You know he has all the money. There's none left. Bran, that's it? What about? What about you got Harry Kane? You got Membope? Song about about? What about the Jamar the guy, the one guy Brazil? But if
we get Messi and Otr? Can you see Messi sitting at the end of a bar? What about Ronaldo? You look like him? They got the farmers, the lenders, all of them all together and paid a massive contract that would be bigger than mon How about P and G get him? All about Procter and Messi has changed the name of the mess If Messi comes to cincinnat Oh Western Western and Messi it'll be John. They don't they don't have a stadium big enough around here. If the Western Southern Messley Beckham is gonna
make him an owner of the franchise keep him. He wants to move to Miami, live in the Everglades. I'd say there was think this is swamping Miami MLS er Miami CF. But but compared, like from a world perspective, is the soccer in the Premier League is better than the MLS Ramier League. And then so he's coming here for the dough, the raining, he's leaving the Saudi's over there, well they can they just they're going on and
that's why they lived with. He was with a team in Paris. Then he goes to another team and then Ronaldo goes over there and making all the dough. Ronaldo is making four hundred million. Thank you playing He's gonna make five hundred million, he said, Ah, that's all right. He likes to women in America better sick. He's a family man with three young kids. Sure, we'll see about that. He wants to be in South Beach. Can you see MESSI and OTR if that happens South Beach? Okaytr you
a man of conviction, I hope many talents. I mean about the best thing I've ever seen. If he comes up to FC and plays here, it's gonna happen. Jeff Byrding tells me that'll happen next year. I'm going if that happens, you mean messy. What think they're gonna get him out of the contract of in inter Miami CF they play they play here next year? Right? They might play here again? I think they already later once this year, I gonna beat him with messy. What happened? I mean
this town? Would we collapse? Collapse spontaneously? Can busts tick him to go for ten thousand dollars a piece? They'll be hanging off the roof attiq. Well, what about to Live and the PGA? How about if your tiger woods you to be faithful, to be loyal to the PGA that's been so good to you. You turn down seven hundred and fifty million dollars from Live to quote do the right thing unquote and and PGA said, we want people that are loyal, we want we're sticking sticks. And what did the
PGA do? See you wouldn't want to be right with him? And where Roy mcworm was like, I want some of my money. I want half that gotta pay it to me because you've screwed me out of it. That's a problem. You know, the Harold Varners of this world in thirty to forty million dollars and live where he would have made no money. Here he's the guy because Tiger was heard to say, I've already got a billion, what's another billion? But for the Harold Varners in this world who aren't going
to make a living? Who am making thirty five million dollars? There's a bunch of Harold Varners on the PGA towardlets thinking why didn't I take thirty to forty million, which I'm never gonna make. I don't know, But the commissioner guy didn't heed site like day Monahan nine eleven and stuff for reasons why we shouldn't write nine eleven. They're gonna run him out of town. Yeah, he's he's gotta take the hit. Head is on the chopping block.
Let's face at the WHA gets with the NHL. You got the NFL merchant AFL, right, you got you got all of something. All these NBA with wcwn wwe get together and so this is gonna happen as long as you had a park on the other side that had a bottomless pit of money. That's the Saudis they now own I think soccer and golf, what's next tennis? And there's are they so successful because it's owned by a bunch of Saudis who can again just pump more oil and it's just play money? Is that
that the reason? And if we're about human rights, how about having all these golf tournaments in China or Sophie, Southern Russia, the Olympics And we don't talk to me about nine to eleven when you every every day in China there's a new nine to eleven and they still have tournaments there, and the Olympics are all over Beijing, right yeah, So I don't talk to me about that. It's all about the dough of the ray, the met and the meat bing go and right now that's all that matters, A green salad

But Messi is coming to Cincinnati, l d C. That's all you need to snickered when I said that. But Jeff Birding told me in the next three years, Messi will play an FC t QL. I said, Well, if that happens, the world as we know it, there's no one and the world. That's it,
Messi. Whef the Bengals win the Super Bowl, Reds, when the World Series and Messi is here, mind, this town would lose its mind. Bies like slots and a slot machine just rotating. I wouldn't know what The NBA and the NHL would want to come here. All the money, Sarah Procter and Messi and mess John Messi is in Charrette mess and then Ronaldo shows
