And as I come on the air, it appears there's been an arrest of a person responsible allegedly for fire bombing the home in Harrisburg,
Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro. His name is thirty eight year old Cody Balmer be like in boy al Mer with a homemade arson device, and we were quite happy to report it appears Josh Shapiro and his family are safe. And he said in a brief news conference a couple hours ago that political violence, there's no place for political violence in America. Couldn't agree more, couldn't agree more, It
must be opposed. It can't be good when I see reports that more than half of Democrats think that Donald Trump should be eliminated, I don't know what eliminated it means. Doesn't sound good, sounds like you maybe get shot again. I see this other story earlier today, a seventeen year old Wisconsin, a young man allegedly killed both parents as part of a plot to assassinate Donald The FBI says, nuts and crazies are out there everywhere on the left and on the right, mainly on the left, but also
on the right. Most of the political violence in this country is on the left, not on the right. That's the way things are, and it's not going to change any because the mobs, those who simply want to yell, scream, and shout, engage in the theater of the political political absurdities. By saying, hands off, a half million people show up well organized to protest every part of whatever Donald Trump
says or does is part of the problem. Normally, in American politics, when a new president is elected as a one hundred day honeymoon period, Right, you were elected to do this, and in Donald Trump's case, it was elected by a wide margin, winning the popular vote, had a forty or fifty vote margin in doctoral college. Campaigned repeatedly, and he said, these are the five or six things they're going to do, and he's going down the list.
He's doing the five or six things. Not that Donald Trump wants to do that we elected him to do. It was us, We the people said, do these things, especially on the southern border, especially wasted and the fraud and abuse in government spending, which they're doing.
Thank god, Elon Musk is there.
To give more respect to law enforcement, and have a military that's not woke, but one that's going to break up things and kill the nation's enemies, to bring home soldiers as much as possible, only deploy them when we need to win win a war. How about winning a war. So a few things Trump was elected to do. For the time he took office, about thirty five to forty Democratic lawmakers said they're not going to the inaugural because it was held inside. They had an excuse not to
sit outside when it's cold. But the first time in January twentieth and twenty seventeen, there was another three or four dozen that refused to participate in the handover of power from Obama to.
Trump.
That's the threat to democracy right there, when you want to make delegitimate elections and think going to the streets with the theater of the politically absurd is the way to go. So you know, last weekend you had the largest nationwide display of opposition since Trump began his second term.
And they represent the destruction of democracy. It is not a threat to democracy if a person is freely and fairly elected then implements the policies that he said he was going to do, especially when the other candidate, VP Harris, what was a no change candidate, didn't want to affect the southern border at all, wanted to continue work policies, believe in transgender rights. And if you lose, guess what, get ready for the next election. See if your ideas
worked better the next time. And the system was not good enough for liberal Democrats and their vocal minorities that seem to believe in the art of the political tantrum, call enough people, take it to the streets. You might recall that a Keem Jeffries and others have repeatedly said take it to the streets Chuck Schumer said, take it to the streets. It's almost as if if you scream and shout loud enough that the results of the election
will be overturned. So that the way politics works, scream, holler and shout and make a fool of yourself, chain yourself to things, and therefore the results of the free and fair elections should be overturned. It's apparent that the anti trust active activists at the Hands Off protest about eight days ago believe this that the election didn't matter, that the policies that he implemented, all of which he
talked about repeatedly in the campaign, should not occur. And we know these organized pro democracy movements are just the opposite. It seems to be a hostile takeover and an attack on American voting rights and freedoms. It's the opposite of pro democracy. They represent the power of the street, the disease of the anti democratic left. Take it to the streets. You can't sit there. You got to do something. In other words, you want to invalidate an election by a
bunch of loudmouths. And many times I've seen Jesse Waters many times on Fox take it to the streets and ask these individuals, what are you protesting?
Often from the river to the sea. What does that mean? They don't know what river, they don't know what sea? Zionism?
What's that we don't know? And now it's metastasized that the tantrums have gone over the edge and Princeton University had a poll where protesters advocate the killing of Donald Trump, and a recent survey revealed that fifty five percent of respondents who identify left to center said killing Trump would be at least somewhat justified, and forty eight percent said the same thing about Elon Musk. This current political temper
tantrum has got to stop, because what's next. Maybe somebody might try to firebomb a governor's home, and a seventeen year old in Wisconsin killed both parents as part of his plot to assassinate Donald Trump. Then Luigi Maggione shoots a healthcare executive in the back and like two million dollars is raised for his defense. So if you're part of the fifty five percent who say that the killing of the president would be acceptable or at least somewhat,
you could understand why it's going on. What the hell has happened to your mind. We have a president who's already been shot once. We have another attempted assassination out a golf course. We have ninety seventeen year olds who kills his parents as part of a plot to get to Donald Trump. You have the firebombing of a governor's
mansion two am this morning in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. It's the left and crazy as they are in complete panic mode thanks to Donald Trump being honest and forthright about what he was going to do, and damnit.
He's doing it.
And instead of saying it's a threat to democracy, I would say, you know what it is. It is democracy. Don't take it to the streets. What does that mean? Take it to the streets. Over the weekend, large parts of New York City was shut down again that these so called protesters want to dismiss democracy and pretend as if the last election didn't take place. Hell, Donald Trump is on it, not even within twenty one hundred days of his election. An election is not a threat to democracy?
Does that make sense? The protesters, of which there's millions, say that Trump being elected is a threat to democracy. Of course, the media plays that silly game all the time. I have some comments coming up later from Kevin o'larry, mister wonderful because this week, once again all hell's going to break loose because the media and their democratic friends want to continue to present the idea that tariffs somehow
are anti American, anti democratic, whatever it might be. Well, if tariffs don't work, how come most of the world has them against us? If it doesn't work, And if the American consumer is paying the price of these tariffs, why would the Canadians, the Mexicans, the Germans, the Chinese care about tariffs at all? If the American consumer is paying them, why would they care? Both are canards, both are dietribes. Tariffs work, They've worked for a long time.
And in fact, it's impossible to do business with communist red China. I said this maybe last week or the week before. Hijao Ping is not going to follow any law.
The leader of China will lie, cheat and steal. And when they joined the World Health Organization and then also the International Trade and about thirty years ago, the thought was by Bush and by the Clintons, you know what, We're going to bring communist red China into the Fold and the World Trade Organization, the World Health organization, and China's going to be part of the world. Well, they joined and immediately stole, lied and cheated, did not how
to allow anyone access to their court system. If you've got some dispute in China, guess what, good luck. If you complain too much, there'll be a bullet announce of led traveling at a high rate of speed that's going to enter your head. So if American businessman in China, if he's being ripped off, where does he go. There's no court system that's going to respect the rights of any American. And when the Chinese markets and Chinese companies want to enter the New York Stock Exchange, the doors
wide open without without any background information being provided. In order to get publicly traded stock in America, you go through a year, year and a half of hell in which you're given a proctological exam, you have all kind of accounting requirements, taxing, and if you're a Chinese company
you have to do none of that. We open up our markets of the Chinese who lie, cheat and steel have the hot air balloons floating over the country, buying military acres right around military bases and flooding the country with fentanyl as if that's business as usual. Well, Democrats and Republicans that believe in the facade that Samol communists can perform according to Western democratic theories, and the answer is no. Jijao pinging. The communists they have concentration camps
and mass murder for wigers. The person they admired the most, Malsay Tongue, murdered at least seventy million of his own citizens during the Great Hunger and the Great Reformations. Remember Mao Mao Malsey Tongue, the Little Red Book. Seventy million Chinese were murdered by the Chinese government. And the guy that did that, mal Say Tongue is compared to George Washington,
Abraham Lincoln, not exactly. They will not play by the rules set forth by the World Trade organizations and the World Health none of They don't play by the rules.
And there's no property right in China. So normally, if you start a great company and it grows and grows, like fred Smith with FedEx or some other great company, h you know, Micro's Apple with Steve Jobs, etc. And there's individuals sentas a great American company started by Dick Farmer, Scott farmer, Bruce Roddy, Bob colehep great company, great company, and that those who do that can benefit. And they have a property right in the stock. And if something
goes amiss, you have access to the court system. Well, if something goes a mister Huaweih in Beijing, guess what you're done. You have no property right. You don't own your home, you don't own the stock, you don't own your car. The government owns everything. They will tell you what they'll let you to keep. And somehow we consider that acceptable to allow them into the family of nations, as if they're playing by the same rule as everyone else is playing by, which is a bunch of bs.
And by the way, the American GDP is about about thirty trillion dollars, which is a good number, a big number, a great number. And I ran some a chart on some of the other GDPs in the world, and it's not a good situation whatsoever, including effect that the EU presently has about seventeen trillion. China is about eighteen trillion, America is thirty, Canada is two point five, Mexico is one point five. India, for God's sakes, is three point
three Russia is two point two. So if you would take the US GDP at thirty trillion dollars, you can take the EU which is seventeen trillion. Canada and Mexico is a total of four. That gets up to twenty one. Throw in India which is three point three. Say you get up to twenty four to twenty five just those. All those in the EU, by the way, is twenty seven different nations England, Belgium, France, Germany, Greece, Denmark, Ireland, Italy, Sweden.
So you put all the European nations together along with Canada and Mexico and India, you're not close to the United States.
So we are the bully. We are the big person in the room.
And China supposedly as a nineteen trillion dollar GDP, which many do not believe is accurate, because they lie, cheating steel, they make up numbers, No one has a property writer or access to a court system. They ply by their communists for God's sakes. Mass murderers. The grandfather, the founder of the modern China, killed sixty five to eighty five million people his own people, beginning in nineteen fifty through about nineteen seventy five Over those twenty five years, mass
extermination took place in China. How about harvesting human organs, how about the one child China policy. It's unbelievable. We act as if well, you know, they're just like every other day.

So the communist red Chinese that are running about a three hundred billion dollar annual trade deficit in their favor against US is at risk. Not the American people they're banking of course, the Chinese
are banking upon the mainstream media in this country. They hands off protesters, the useful idiots out there with multi colored hair, and also those who have a hatred for this nation to have such problems in the street as to manify a king. Jeffries and Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi that somehow Donald Trump will back down to the Shijo ping. Do you think Donald Trump is going to back down and say, you know what, you got to point there?
Who's at risk?
You're the ones Chinese have a plus three hundred billion dollar trade devasit with us. It's not we are we could have new agreements with the EU. This morning, Scott Pissid and others, the Commerce Secretary said there's about one hundred and thirty nations. Somehow in the next three or four weeks is going to be big announcements of dozens of these so called agreements.
And China's moved from eighty four.
Percent in tariffs against US to one hundred and twenty five percent is symbolic because eighty four percent rate plus all the other government in formal policies against American retailers, it's about one hundred twenty five percent anyway, So they're counting on either the stock market or Wall Street or hands off protest to have so much anger in this streets and so much on CNBC squawk Box with Kramer, etc.
That Donald Trump backs down. I'd bet against that.
The Chinese strategy is to use Wall Street, Main Street, maybe the farming lobby and others to pressure Donald Trump to give in. You know what, I don't think that's gonna happen. The trump'ster is not built that way. And I predict right now that Donald Trump shall America is gonna win the terraf war with China. But I'd be
careful because China is completely different economic system. Because the Chinese knows they will lose their economy if they lose this terrafor They're not gonna give up give up rather easily. They're gonna fight. Maybe do some other things like shut down the power grid in this country, or shut down the water out of your faucet. Maybe do something another
hot air balloon over the top of the country. Maybe some sort of other malware device that we don't know about that would make phone calls impossible.
They're not done.
Or maybe invade Taiwan, which has nothing to do with the tariffs, but will distract the attention of the Chinese people from the suffering that the Chinese government has put the Chinese people under. So I'm with the President one thousand percent. This is a war that should have came a long time ago. Let it be a cold war that we won and not a hot one. And I have some press releases, and I spoke to a White House official say they'll be recognizing a Holy Week daily, not as some inconvenience, but
as a shift sharply in the tone. And I would note that Press Secretary Caroline Levitt was mocked by the media for praying before press briefing. She didn't flinch, didn't apologize. So that's who I am, and away with that. And by the way, one other godless nation on earth is of course communists. Read China. They're communists. We cannot do business with organizations like that. We're hurt by it. We have to rebuild an economy without China being part of it.

In the case of China, it's not just tariffs, it's not just the trade war, it's time after decades, ever since they joined the WGO in two thousand, they have not abided by the rules and regulations.
They have never, ever, ever been compliant.
And over time this also happened in Europe and definitely domestically US. They have stolen an incredible amount trillions of dollars worth of IP and there has never been any consequences until this administration. Now, I'm pretty frustrated as an investor because the classic situation for small business and entrepreneurial investing is you find a product of service in America. You've proven in the American markets to a run rate of five million dollars a year on Amazon and bangs
ripped off in China. There's nothing you can do. You can't go appeal to wto it's deaf ears there. You can't let a gate because we don't have access to their courts even though they have access to ours. And not only that, they have access to our capital markets.
We let them list companies here.
So I have to compete with a Chinese company that is not compliant with GAP, that completely ignore the regulator raise money when I have to compete on a basis where I have to be compliant, spend millions of dollars in compliance and make sure that the SEC and all the other regular bodies are okay with my issuance.
But not the Chinese Why.
I mean, you've pointed to some very specific examples of why this is so unfair for American companies versus Chinese companies, and obviously Chinese companies are essentially owned by the government. It's not a capitalism market like we have here. How do you think given China's economic struggles on their side, and we see that they have been sort of entrenching and figuring out how they're going to handle this, what do you think they're going to do at this point in.
This think theoretical, continue to build. That's why I was an advocate. Why are we messing around?
Just go to four hundred percent, Get everybody on a plane, let's meet it and gcon bar wherever. Look, what are you going to do twenty five percent every day until your four hundred. Just go to four hundred, and then it becomes impossible for them to access the American market, which is thirty nine percent of all consumption in the world and twenty six point one percent of the world GDP.
China cannot do without America, period.
And the reason that she would care about this and be laser focused on it, he only gets to be the supreme leader in perpetuity while people are employed and eating and feeding and making sure their families are taken care of. If it's mass closures of factories, he's screwed. So he knows that too. And right now, as Stuart Varney detailed and others know this, it's precarious situation over in China on their currency and a lot of other
issues as you measure their economy and their GDP growth. Now, look, I want to be clear about this. I have no problem with the Chinese people, and I along with millions of other investors want to do business in China. But I've had it with getting screwed on IP. I'm done, and I want someone to go in there and level the playing field.
That's what I want, and that's what I see, and I'm willing to take the volatility.
Well, there's mister wonderful Kevin or Larry with Martha McCallum on Fox News, and what did he say?

So if the tariffs go from one to twenty five to to one hundred eighty, does that change the legal system in China?
Was Jijiaoping?
Actually, you know what, We're gonna comply with World Trade Organization WTO rules. We're gonna comply with having court system open in which shall foreigners Americans can come here. And if their IP was stolen that there's redressed in Chinese courts. They can't provide that because there's no such a thing. And if you if you act up in China, you be murdered by the president. You won't be bankrupt, you'll
be murdered. And if you're a different minority religion like Catholics and Christians and Uigers are slaughtered, their churches are leveled and their leadership is murdered. That's the Chinese system, not the Chinese people, but the Chinese system. So, assuming there's some deal deal in the next thirty to sixty days, is it gonna be you know what, no more fentanyl put it in this country by China who wants to kill Americans.
You can't do that. You're gonna have a phonectional court system? Are you gonna do that?
Are you gonna have a system where there's not the obliteration of religious groups and monks, etc. And Catholic priests and ministers and the wigers. Are you're gonna have a system that allows freedom of speech and freedom of religion?
I don't think so. That's not going to happen. So what are we doing?
We've allowed, for the last thirty years an impoverished nation to steal American and European secrets, i IP, theft of an industrial scale, to build up, so to speak, at their middle class at our expense. And every year we ship an additional three hundred billion dollar deficit money of dollars to them in Beijing. And so what does a tariff? Does a tariff touch any of that? I don't think so is it going to fix the real estate disaster. Whether there's trillions of dollars of losses in Chinese, is
going to fix their the collapse of population. Peter's Eihan and others have pointed out that because of the mass murder of Chinese by Malse Tung sixty to seventy five million murdered. In addition that the one child policy, they're going to experience population collapse.
Don't have enough people too old and not enough they being young.
We have a similar difficulty with social security, but we don't have a government in which my religious minorities are murdered, putting concentration camps killed.
We don't have that.
When we have a problem with twenty eight twenty oh nine with a mortgage problem, we printed more money, got over it, did okay? I guess banks were bailed out and not individuals. Our problems are minuscule compared to the problems of communists red China. An American consumer that mister wonderful Kevin o'laria has some great stats of all the consumption by consumers in the world, America is about forty percent,
even though we're four percent of the world's population. Think about ten times, and so why are we play pussy footing around with the communist in China acting as if well, if we lower the tariffs a little bit, No, they have to quit being the government has to quit being thieves and crooks and murderers. Is hieshau Ping gonna change the whole system of government in Beijing? I don't think so. D couple give it up. Find like a warrior poet
hook up with India with Mody. Of course he's got his own problems, but nonetheless, allegedly is the world's largest democracy, and they're a whole lot better than what you find in China.
They have citizens that can leave that.
There are religious minorities practiced in India, and the Indian GDP, believe it or not, is only three point three trillion. We have an economy nine times that size, and Mody wants to hook up with us. Lots of middle class consumers there, right, they want that in addition to the EU, which has gone left wing big time. Maybe they'll stop at some point. They're on top of that. Canada and Mexico and away you go. Do we need China for
wrapping paper at Christmas time? Would you want to partners with an organization like that as an America, Is that what you want?
I don't think so does the media cover it that way? Of course not?
Because you know, as Chuck Todd said Chuck Todd the face of NBC News before he was fired about six months ago, Chuck Todd said, when he ran Meet the Press, if it helped Donald Trump, we lied. If it helped Joe Biden, we lied. So anything we could put on if it made Trump look good, we didn't talk about it. And we knew about the mental deterioration of Joe Biden. But because the reporting of that would have helped Donald Trump, we didn't report on it. We lied, So we got
a media the face of the media. Chuck Todd admits the mainstream media a bunch of liars. How much play did that? Did that get the mainstream media? NA doesn't work. So let's have media coverage about the obliteration of religious minorities through concentration and death camps in China. Let's talk about the obliteration of Christianity, of Islam and Catholicism in China. Let's talk about Chinese government harvesting human organs for sale or the real estate disaster instead of acting is if
there's nothing we can do, we can't do anything. We may have to pay a little bit more for prices. Well, the little bit of pain is worth long term gain. And that's what Donald Trump is about. So get your head screwed on. It's unbelievable. And I think Donald Trump, when he stays the course, is going to roll the Chinese communists. Then the real problems start. A friend of mine said to me, a cornered wounded bear is a
terrible thing to face. And the Chinese government, the Chinese people have been told lies for so long by its government they can't recognize the truth. Well, we have freedom oppressed in this country is often abused. But you have far left wingers MSNBC, CNN, ABC, NBCCBS, PBS, and you have conservative You have Daily Wire, daily Caller, you got Breitbart, a little bit of Fox News, talk radio, and podcast. We get information out that doesn't happen in a communist system.
If your protests in China, there'll be announced of lead heading your way at a high rate of speed between your eyes. Do you want to be associated with that system? Most Americans, I think would say no. But I wonder what the American people actually know about these facts because they're not reported by the mainstream media. They'll talk about egg prices, talk about bread prices. By the way, gasoline I live in Cincinnati is down to two seventy ninety gallon.
Not bad, but nonetheless I'll pay a little bit more. If it would assist America decoupling from communist red China that imports ninety percent of its energy. And the main reason that the Taiwanese invasion has not taking place is they would really be cut off from the world at that point, in which case eighty percent of their imports come from around the world for most of their natural materials and for gas and oil and coal, etc. And
it would stop. Then they have more problems. There's no reason to invade Taiwan except as a useful diversion from the monstrous difficulties at home that the Chinese people themselves have to deal with. Oh, let's continue to take short break when we do to the cause we have thousands on hold. And tariffs are wonderful things when properly used. That's why the world uses it against us. And if tariffs are so bad, why does everybody in the world happened,
but us. And if the American consumer is going to be hurt by the tariffs, why wouldn't the rest of the world say let it happen. No, they know that tariffs can be used to bring about societal change, and we're going to see that over the next several weeks.
The media allows Donald Trump to be the president.

But where do you get your necessary information upon which you can cast an inform ballot When NBC News has admitted that we would lie rather than help Donald Trump, And that comes to every issue today. We'd rather lie about Donald Trump or lie about what he's doing because it assists democrats. And that's our central mission is to help democrats, not to tell you the truth. A good example is what's going on with Abrego Garcia.
He's the national NOL Salvadoran national who has been the subject of much lawsuits in which he supposedly is an innocent man, should be brought back. The Department of Justice would note that the removal order said he could not be removed to Al Salvador because the bad blood between his gang, which is MS thirteen and some other gang makes him a target. So, according to the Department of Justice, Garcia is a member of MS thirteen and he's in
the wrong gang. I guess the Venezuelan gangs are unhappy with MS thirteen, which is a Mexican a Al Salvadorian gang. And of course he and the Auto Workers allegedly endorsed Kamala Harris. But my gosh is he's singing a different tune now with
Donald Trump, who he supports. Believe it or not, the UAW and the Teamsters support the Trumpster one thousand percent. That the head of the UAW, Sean Fain said, quote, now, we've been very clear about this.
We do believe.
But when it comes to auto, when it comes to heavy truck manufacturing, agriculture and implement we know the tariffs will influence these companies to do the right thing and readvanced in America and reinvest the factories in this country. It went on to say, since NAFTA's implementation in nineteen ninety three, heck, that's been what thirty thirty three years ago.
According to Feine, great union leader, we've lost over ninety thousand manufacturing facilities, millions, millions of jobs, and these jobs we're paying decent wages, the good benefits, retirement security. And then of course one of the useful idiots on MSNBC related a few couple other words, and to wrap things up, the head of the head of the Auto Workers said, now,
we've been very clear. We do believe, we know that when it comes to auto, when it comes to every trucks and agriculture products, the tariffs will bring about the desired result, which is making America out stronger than the middle class economically. But right now NAFTA is still causing us to lose jobs. We have a broken trade system. The President seems to be addressing. We support tariffs as a tool in the toolbox, not the NLB all, but tariffs are a motivator to make these companies do the
right thing. And you might recall Sean Fain was spoke at the Democratic National Convention I think in Chicago one hundred percent supporter of Kamala Harris, and he was a fool for doing that. But now he's a hundred percent on the bandwagon and telling MSNBC you're wrong. I suggest the out of workers President Sean Fain is done being a guest on MSNBC.

And it's obvious that us AID, which has now been gutted by the Trump administration, was the vehicle that paid Democratic activists billions of dollars, and then they would also donate back to the Democratic Party some of the taxpayer money. happening with that. But it'd be interesting if the Democrats are held to the same account and that that Donald Trump was held to and his lawyers and Rudolph Giuliani and his chief of staff Meadows held to the same account, there'd be all kinds of democratic indictments. And what would the media say about that?

Well, again, you know, my point is, as long as these people are large, you know again, I'm all for say, like the the alien enemy EGT. But you know, if we cannot take down the enemy within, you know, Trump at best, I you know, I think he can kind of keep things in check. But how are we going to make any major advance as far as bringing justice to the country.
Well, well, the other issue is this, I think, my friend, is that going forward, we have to have a completely different tariffs system, completely different. It needs to be from top to bottom change. And Trump's about doing and I I'm sitting here thinking, you know, if you engaged in one tenth of behavior of Hillary and Bill Clinton, if you engage in one tenth the behavior of Joe Biden Hunter Biden, you'd be you'd be eleven worth, You'd be locked up right now.
I mean, there'd be no question.
But you know that they have democratic protection, they have those they have those Star Trek devices put over their head. They can't be touched, and they're they're the crabs. Stacey Abrams. Abrams from Georgia taking about two billion dollars to buy refrigerators and do insallation of homes in Georgia on conditions she kicked money back to the Democratic Party.

And uh yeah, and again, how if and how and when are we ever gonna again if we can't really take all that corruption and put it, you know, into some kind of rule of law and take them down. I saw Larry Fink at Black Rock that recently give a talk about he is frozen with panic about what might happen on many fronts.
Do you have a sense that we're at war with China and we don't know it yet.
Well, we were in the Cold War with Russia for decades, so I think that may be a better analogy. But certainly the Chinese view challenging America as their destiny, and America, by dint of its greatness and how we were formed, don't believe in China anyone. We by definition believe in fair you know, playing by the rules and fair play and better tomorrow. Yes, that's not something that Chinese believe it.
And of course Jao Ping doesn't have a midterm election coming up, doesn't care much about the polls, doesn't care much about descent. And when I look at this Chinese relationship, I look at southern border issues with fentanyl, and I look at one hundred thousand Americans dying, and we can talk about addiction, and they're certainly fueling that. I look at the purchase of thousands of acres of land around
military bases, I look at hot air balloons. I kind of look at the fact they got ninety five percent of our pharmaceuticals are made there. And look at the fact that the malware and our water systems and companies. Allegedly there's millions of pieces of malware all over the grid that's going to shut down. At one point, one commentator, I heard them say, we're not gonna be able to have water, we won't have electricity, won't be able to communicate, Skies may be filled with planes falling.
And I'm looking at this going are you kidding me?
This was never the case with the USSR, in which they had missile technology and that was it. They were never an economic power. In fact, the GDP of Rush is only about two point two trillion. Ours is about thirty trillion, not even close. China is about eighteen or nineteen trillion. And so why would they have done all these things in preparation for what unbeknownst to us?
I think I disagreed is unbeknownst to us. We knew about it, we just didn't do anything about it. Now, so appeaving China and getting wronk on cheap nikes has been a bipartisan issue. Being feckless towards China is a bipartisann issue. By that I mean both parties engaged in it. The Chinese are setting up to challenge US supremacy around the world. Now you ask exactly, you know, what is their end goals? They want to replace the United States
as the world superpower. Obviously, the United States been doing everything possible to allow that to happen over the past thirty or thirty five years. So if Donald Trump is actually sort of serious about confronting China and doing that, China is not going to go away easily. Therefore, it is going to require a spine of steel by Donald Trump to be willing to endure some pretty significant hardships
here at home and difficulties here at home. That is not something in the past that he has shown a willingness to endure.
And in fact, well the American people, you know, China, go or Ill are all pulling in the same direction. And if you don't pull in the same direction, you're going to bullet in the head.
And so that's a China.
If you're an average citizen and keep your head down, uh, don't protest, don't walk in the streets, don't post things that government may not like. You can live your life. And they're pulling the same direction America. Hardly ever, except nine to eleven maybe into world War two, we pulled in the same direction. We have disparate forces going left, right and otherwise. And I guess that's one of our
strengths but also one of our weaknesses. And I harkened back to the comments you I think you played it, or maybe it was Cuma a few days ago of Kevin O'Leary, mister Wonderful on CNBC, and he said that essentially we should have four hundred percent tariffs on China, he said, because they're thieves and liars and cheats and thugs.
He said that Chinese will literally steal thousands of dollars from individual accounts, they will exploit child labor and slave labor, that they engage in mass extermination of the wagers, and the obliteration of Christian and Catholic churches. And I look at that, and I'm thinking, what would be the impact if China said, Okay, we're going to deal with Malaysia
and Indonesia and Australia and South Korea and Japan. I don't see that happening either, because despite the fact that we have different forms of government, that those so called nations countries in the Asian sphere will want to be more like America than China.
And so.
I won't say you and I because we're in the news and we know what's going on. But the average American doesn't understand the precarious position in which we now find ourselves.
When mister Wonderful and even Elon must say the same thing.
They're cheaters, liars, they're communists. They don't do any they don't create anything, they steal. Is that an that definition in interview?
Sure?
No, But it is the responsibility of the President of the United States to explain that to America and to explain why it matters, and to not sit around in gloviate about everybody cheats, everybody's achieving us. We've been ripped off by the Japanese and the South Koreans and medions want to if you want to bring America and as you point out after nine to eleven, George W. Bush did it, obviously after Pearl Harbor, Franklin Roosevelt did it. George H. W. Bush did it around the First Gulf War.
If you want to, Ronald Reagan did it about confroning the Soviets. If you want to be clear eyed and have moral clarity about a common enemy, that America faces and the sacrifices that are required to confront it. Americans will respond that it's not something Donald Trump has done, nor shown a willingness to do, nor shown the commitment
to do so. If if you would like to do this, which I think is a noble and necessary effort, then he's going to actually have to have some message discipline and be willing to endure the hardships longer than five days of this last tariff U and decide that he is going to be a wartime president That requires something different. You don't get to have as much fun as you do when you're the president the way he was twenty seventeen to twenty nineteen.

And every now I look at the market, the gyrations up down, two thousand and seven are points up, down, up, and it's going to continue. I watch everything that I can, and I fear, and I may have told you this before leland veitdertev News Nation, that I fear something bad's gonna happen.
I mean really bad.
And if something really bad happens is going to come from China, maybe Taiwan invading Taiwan. They have encircled that island that they don't need Taiwan for anything, but it's a nice diversion from the problems inside China, which are massive. And so if that happens, then the word order is completely thrown into because in a chaos, because China only imports its energy, imports its food, they have one point three billion people they got to be fed, and the
world's gonna cut them off completely. Now we're in a real crisis. And do you have a sense is that why you put together warnoes dot com? Do you have a sense something bad's gonna happen later this year?
Well, first of all, Bill, we're only one day away from something bad happening in the world, and you normally worry about the wrong thing. Okay, there's not a lot of people who had a pandemic on their twenty twenty Bingo card started a point, as you pointed out before,
by China. The one thing that's happening that is terrifying and should terrify Americans and should be a real wake up call to the administration is, for the first time in my lifetime, at times at a time of economic uncertainty and upheaval, people are running away from US Treasury bills right right right. Typically, in times of economic upheaval, people run towards safety, towards the full faith and credit of the United States government. It's known around the world
as the safe at dast US treasury bills. And now in this time of economic unheaval, people are selling that should scare everybody, and it should it should be a wake up call to the administration that they need to become serious and disciplined in how they're dealing with the reputation and the statements about what the US does and the sea sawing and oscillations by the administration and the undisciplined nature of Donald Trump's communication is not doing them any favors.
In fact, several days ago, I think it was Tuesday, that's when he said the ten year treasury note is dipping and going down because more and more people, and then the yield's going up because more and more people are dumping it, including communists right China otherwise, but also American domestic users are dumping the ten year treasury note, which is the safest haven of the world. And now maybe it's not the safest haven in the world. It's
not the one. It's not the Chinese currency. I look at the Russian ruble that's completely in the tank, and I look around the world, and I just sense something bad. It's gonna happen, And I don't know. I hope somehow Shijao Ping says, you know what, let's let's strike a deal, because we're gonna quit stealing you're intellectual properties. We're gonna have a functional court system where American companies that come here and have it as spook and get something resolved.
We're gonna institute property rights for individual individual Chinese citizens. And I can't conceive of communism changing anything's possible.
But then I don't.
I don't think Donald Trump has lots of abilities, a lot lots of things, but communication to the other side, to the Democrats, is not one of his strengths. Uh and And so I don't see Senator Adam Schiff, and I don't see Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer saying, you know what, we're gonna work with the president. I can't conceive of that occurring. And I hope both of us are wrong and this thing works out.
So this is so, this is Adam Shipp's fault. I don't I don't understand Donald Trump ran to be president. You don't get just to be president when things are great and uh, you get to go to the Super Bowl and play golf of Tiger Woods. You have to be president when things are bad and you have to bring the country together. And he he has not done that. You said you hope that Cheesing Ping makes all these deals. The only way Chijing Ping makes all these deals is
through coercion by a strong president. Ronald Reagan did it, Okay, and you know he did it by the way, with Tip O'Neil as the Democratic speaker. Okay, George W. Bush did it. Uh, Franklin Roosevelt did it. This is when leadership is required. This is when moral clarity is required. That these are serious times. And I think for for Trump supporters that this is the time to say that now Donald Trump must show that he can lead in
difficult times. He can get a place on Mount Rushmore if he If he did, he pulled this off, but it's going to require having somebody other than Peter Navarro running around telling us all the dear's flat.
I kind of look at it this way.
Every president was given a honeymoon except this one from twenty seventeen, they had no honeymoon, had the FBI, the CIA dismantling his presidency, and now he gets elected by a wide margin, and I'll hear from the Democrats is a threat to democracy when Trump wins and we freely elected a president that the opposition party will not work with in any way, won't won't sit down with him,
when not talk with him. Now you can blame Donald Trump, and I say, the opposition party has a duty as Americans to say, okay, let's not reflectively oppose everything he does, everything, no matter what it is. When he said in the state when he and the addressed to the Congress, if I cured cancer, you Democrats wouldn't like it. And of course that's exactly the cay. He can do anything, and this Democratic Party in the mainstream media is not going to give him any credit. And so I don't know,
maybe a curse on both their houses. But we only have a minute.

I want to ask you this one. I have this story which is like saying the sky is blue. Chuck Todd of Meet the Press and NBC admits that the media would rather lie than help Donald Trump. And I look at this story and he gave this report that we always would cover up the mental deficiencies of Joe Biden because we thought by covering it objectively and fairly and truthfully, it might help Donald Trump.
Does that offend you?
I live in Washington, Nothing really offends me.
I thought this story of that, Okay, this is you know, the sky's blue. Okay, I get that. But I've been saying that for a long time. Many conservatives have that the mainstream media is in the tank, whether it was Obama or Hillary Clinton or Biden, and they're going with hooks and claws at Donald Trump.
Fair and now conservative media has talk radio and Fox News and the Daily Wire and Elon Musk's X and all sorts of stuff. Again, I come addition from a slightly different perspective, Bill, My I judge everybody by the same.
Bar.
It's what makes news nation different. And if you want to be the president of the United States, you get judged on your results, not on whether or not the Democrats are out to get you, not whether the Democrats are working with you, not whether Republicans are sycophantic towards you. Just on results. It's it's a very simple dynamic, and you know you love sports, as do I. When you're when you're having to cry about the refs, you're usually losing.
When you're winning, nobody cries about the refts.
A fact of life, except the refs in this case have one hundred dollars bills in their back pocket and they're for the other team. And that's what Chuck Todd said. One of the one of the gold plate NBC faces of NBC News said, uh, Chuck Todd.
On, hold on, I'm ill. This is what I think is funny about conservatives. Everyone said Chuck Todd was a liar and in the tank and on and on and now and hated him by the way. I think he was in the tank, and I agree with his assessment. But now that he says it, he's somehow been absolved of all those things. He's saying it because he's saying it because he got fired at NBC and now he's trying to find a way in in trying to find a way to be relevant in the Trump administration time.
He's not saying it because he sat it out of self preservation, not because he believes it or because he didn't thinks he did anything wrong. So again, I don't think, to my mind, most people in America are sitting around talking about Chuck Todd. They're sitting around talking about their four oh one case, whether their kids are going to have a better job, their job.
You know.
The feeling is you point out of discontent and uncertainty in America and that something bad is gonna happen.
Yeah.
I think that comes back to the president.
That doesn't come back to the media, also comes back to the Congress, to the Senate.
You know, everything split up.
The leader of the country as Donald Trump, but the Democratic Party has never accepted it. They never will. When he wins, it's a fault of democracy. When he loses, democracy is working. That's that's my viewpoint. And of course his views are expressed on townhall dot Com Tariffs, tariffs and more tariffs. The headline of his story protesters are wrong and whether it's doge and tariffs and law and order should be applauded. And Scott Powell, welcome again to the Bill Cunningham Show. And first of all, you begin
your coming by talking about the honeymoon period. Every president has one hundred day honeymoon period lasting until around April fifteenth. Has Donald Trump been given a honeymoon by the mainstream media, by the Democratic Party, by those in control of the major newspapers.
What happened to the honeymoon?
Hell, no he has there's no honeymoon.
Let's get right to the fight.
No, there's no honeymoon.
Honeymoon as they said, you know, going back to you know, his first election. You know, the knives were already being drawn even before inauguration in twenty seventeen. You know, we had the Russia Russian hoax issue. But this time the guns are drawn. I mean, he's had assassination attempts on his life before the election.
On the twenty twenty four election. So honeymoon, are you kidding?
Money they want and now and now this is a really sad moment in American history where one of the major parties, that's the Democrat Party.
It is still it's not as it's not.
The party it was, but it's still the second major party in America. Polls show that fifty five percent of Democrats which support the elimination of Donald Trump, the killing, the assassination of Donald Trump. That is a very very sad commentary on the current state of America.
Yeah, fifty five percent won him killed. And then there's forty eight percent they say they want Elon Musk killed, they want him murdered. They want a bullet in his head. And that's that's not some fringe element. That's not the John Bird Society or the Communist Party are These are Democrats, registered Democrats who say it would be justified for someone
to kill the president of the United States. And isn't that like a big if I'm CBS Evening News, they don't cover these, I would say, look at this, that fifty five percent of the of the Democrats when Donald Trump eliminated what does that mean eliminated? That means shot. That's the Democratic Party. And I don't know how we how we get over it? And then how do you
work with someone that you want to kill? And I watched Chuck Schumer walk around the Senate being asked questions Elon Musk about the violence committed against against Tesla and and he he can't answer the question because indirectly he's the one that called for the for the I won't say the killing, but maybe the assassination of two US
Supreme Court justices in front of the building. Then a few weeks later, an assassin picked up that idea, traveled to Brett Kavanaugh's home to try to kill him, and he just he just was found guilty of the assassin and I'm living in this world thinking Scott Powell, this cannot continue like this. Someone's got to reform their behavior before it's too late. In fact, time's been shot. But nonetheless Democrats won him eliminated. What does eliminated mean.
Well, it means just as you described it.
It means the killing, the assassinations of a human being. First and foremost, you.
Know, we we.
America was celebrated as a country that would be different, as a country that would have a system of transition of government that would be done peacefully and respectfully, and.
That you know that the people would be sovereign.
The people would choose their who would govern, and then those who would those who would govern, would be allowed to govern. And if they did a good job and life improved in America, chances are.
They would re elect those people. That's how the system is supposed to work.
It's not supposed to work that we have an election and then we sabotaged the government, because then we have no mechanism for understanding what works and what doesn't work.
It's it's thuggery. Thuggery works, that's always worked. In the third world. Do we want the United States to become a third world country? Well, we're well on our way.
I look at this.
I look at Brian Thompson, his CEO of United Healthcare last Decemmer, being hunted down by Luigi Maggione. Uh, and he's being There's over a million dollars I guess mainly Democrats have contributed to his defense fund. The majority of Democrats believe that the murder of a father and a husband in cold blood on the streets of New York City is justified because he works. And the CEO of
United Healthcare that is justified too. And I'm thinking, if I'm a CEO of a company, the cost of protecting me, it's not worth it.
What does this say about America?
When the opposition party, the Loyal Opposition, not only wants to eliminate the president and Elon Musk, they also support the assassination for political purposes of Brian Thompson, I'd say.
Well, it's very it's really sad.
You know, politics is really downstream of the culture, and culture is downstream of the spiritual orientation of the country. And you know, before we could win the War of Independence from Great Britain, we had to have a spiritual revival. That was the Great Awakening. Before the Civil War we had a second great Awakening. We need a spiritual revival in this country because our culture has.
Gone to hell, and now our political system has gone to hell.
Well, it would be hell.
We the restoration of good things, right? You know what, what do you look for in culture? In a cultural renaissance, You'd expect to see a flourishing of things that are beautiful, things that are edifying. You'd expect to hear more great music.
Where we right now? Music is dark.
Art really is darker, and there seems to be no course correction. The course correction will come when American people recognize that when you drive God out of your culture, it creates a vacuum that gets filled with evil spiritual influence.
It would be helpful, Yeah, it'd be very helpful if the leaders of the Liberal Democratic Party, from the Obamas to the Clintons to the Nancy Pelosis of the Chuck Schumers stand up is one and saying political violence against those who we disagree with must stop immediately, instead of
saying that they implicitly allow it and encourage it. And I look at some of the funding of these radical groups, these hands off groups who just pop up in a thousand cities all over America, and your column talks about this. How are these so called hands off groups, how are
they funded? How does it happen? First of all, my question is this, I would like to think political leadership would stand up and say, we can have a country and which the majority of my party wants the opposition leader to be eliminated, we can't do that.
But they won't do that.
Why why won't the leader of the Democrats say this is wrong, don't do it, don't attack dealerships, don't scratch the sides of tesla's, don't advocate for the assassination of the president. We don't want them eliminate it. We want to challenge them on the battlefield of ideas and win. Why don't the Democratic leaders tell it's flock, don't do this.
Well, the answer to your question, Bill is they know they can't win legitimacy, legitimately their ideas. The you know, the platform of the Democrat Party is so far left, so destructive, you know to most Americans that they can't win. They're a party of severe decline and they're like cornered rats that all they can do is conduct themselves in this way.
And it's very, very sad. But so we need a tough Supreme Court.
We've had five victories in the Supreme Court in the last ten days or so. Amazing, isn't it where the Supreme Court has come out and defended the position of Donald Trump to be the president and to exercise is executive not just privileged, but his executive authority. The president is given authority by the Constitution because it's essential that we have a powerful commander in chief, not only in
military affairs, but also in other security matters. And for any judge to try to subvert Donald Trump's you know, deporting of not just the illegal aliens, but the worst elements, the trend of dog guag doagua terrorists. These people they need to be they need to be removed as quickly as possible. Why is there a judge that would block that and say, oh, oh, I'm giving an order to turn the plane around and bring them back to America.
Can't happen.
Let's talk about the funding. You have a great part of your column Scott Powell and town hall dot com about funding these protests explain how much money they're paid and what the purpose is the hands off protests that are going to happen every month, I would imagine, because this is astro turf, the protesters are paid and they're out there protesting, and the media covers it as if everage middle class people just on their own come out
of their homes, their apartments, their condos, their trailer parks. They just kind of leave their work and just all of a sudden show up together and start protesting. Is that the way it works? I just want to pray.
So it hasn't.
It hasn't worked that way for a long time. We're just finally waking up to it. And I would just say, you know, fool me one, shame on me, but fool me, fool me twice, shame on you. You know, the hand hands off protest which runs under monitors such as the Tesla takedown or ending the billionaire power grab. Look, the billionaire prior grab is more more on the left than the right.
Now, that's where the money is.
It's in the high tech industry that tends to support the Democrat agenda. But this is anything but a grassroots movement or it's spontaneous. Ye know, many progresses are protests are paid in as much as three hundred dollars a day, and then there's funding from one hundred more than one hundred and seventy five NGOs. The real number was I think one hundred and eighty nine, but since you can't really verify it, I just said I'll give a number a little less than that.
You know. And the different protest groups.
Involved in the hands off protesting Hands Off protest campaign, you know, they've been assisted and coordinated by an organization known as Indivisible that has received millions of dollars from George Soros's Open Society Foundation. So there we have Soros funding das and the campaigns of federal judges and getting them, you know, get getting getting them into office, and then running the street gangs too.
I mean, this is my gosh.
I tell you, I don't know, and you have a great part of your column about the organization. What are the goals? I like to know what is the goal. It's the goal to have more bankruptcies? Is the goal to have more illegal aliens? Can you imagine? I often say every now and then I might taken issue with a thing or two that Donald Trump has done, and I'm thinking, well, that's not quite right.
But the bullcoat is great.
But I'm thinking, what if the shoe was on the other foot, and about five hundred thousand votes changed hands, and that Kamala Harris was in the presidency right now, and that Tim Watz was the vice president right now? What would the southern border look like right now? Using the same laws available to Joe Biden. The Southern border is closed. In fact, we're now getting it's going to take two or three years to get all them out
of here. But nonetheless, we were told by the Democrats in the media that the only way to fix the southern border was to pass all these brand new laws that called for the hiring of ten thousand more federal employees, including the fact that everyone in the country could stay here and wait for their hearing to be held. There was going to be two thousand more administrative law judges to have hearings on each individual. This would stretch out
for five to ten years. We found out the laws in effect when Biden was the president have been sufficient when used correctly by Donald Trump, and the media doesn't cover that at all.
Of course, not the media the media is full of useful idiots.
You know, letin called Lenin call the people, you know, the average people that get mobilized for these demonstrations. And of course these are media events. Remember this is terrorism is a media event. Do you know that that the terrorists win not because of the killings that they do, but because of their effect on the media globally. So, you know, our biggest challenges Americans is this normalcy bias
that we all have. You know, we all, especially as adults, we have long memories of the way it used to be and this is America and this couldn't possibly be happening in America.
We have this normalcy bias that.
Prevents us from seeing the leadership of the left, the Democrat Party for what it is.
These are destroyers.
These people want America totally restructured. They want us merged into some new global order. They want a pure democracy, not a constitutional republic. And you know, the founding fathers were scared to death of a pure democracy.
Why because it always devolves to a mobocracy. Can't we see this now that we have a mobocracy running America. On the street, this is a color this is a color revolution in America. To prevent Donald Trump, the elected president, from being able to carry out what the people wanted.
So we'll have a color revolution.
Will will obstruct through through lawfare, will obstruct through demonstrations, will obstruct through assassination threats. I mean a lot of people get intimidated. I think Amy Colly, Barrett and maybe bred Kavanaugh. They they back down from being tough because they were afraid a Democrat to active.
America that.
We knew in our childhood and we've got to corrected sky about a minute remaining. But a Democratic activist compelled indirectly by Chuck Schumer, the leader of the Democrats in the Senate, hunted down at the home of Brett Kavanaugh to kill him and his family. And that wasn't a major deal. And in fact, the guy just was found guilty about a week ago. Nobody knows about it. Lastly, on the tariff issue, if tariffs are so wrong, how come every country in the world has them except us?
If they're so wrong?
And secondly, if Americans pay for the tariffs, why would these other countries care. The fact is the tariffs are born by lots of parties along the way, but tariffs work. That's why other countries use them. And secondly, Americans don't pay completely for the tariffs. If they did, the other countries wouldn't care. If the Americans paid for the tariffs, why would Canadians care? Well, have any terar if you want the American consumer page right, the answer is no,
tariffs work and Americans pay a small part. In fact, inflation has gone down in the month of February and go down on the month of March, and that will not be reported. But Scott Powell, we got to run once again. I love your term the mobocracy, and that the media covers the mobocracy as if that's the bow,
it's the soul of the American people. Just you lauterly arising, Seren it's just all of a sudden to go out there in protest, when in fact it's paid for because the mob rules, because of George Floyd, riots, because the hands off these useful idiots of march around because they're paid. Well, Scott Powell, you got me all urinated off right now, so I gotta go. But once again, somehow sanity must rule, and somehow Donald Trump must billowed to be impress.
You Bill, you are a great voice of sanity. In this country, and I just say, keep it up, man, don't give up.

You know, normally when a president is elected with a brand new agenda and a certain side is to feed it because of their policies. And I think one of the worst moments of the campaign is when is when VP Harris talked about she can't think of one thing she would ever change in an electorate very unhappy and so you don't win at the ballot box.
So what do you.
Do you call the president that's duly and freely elected a threat to democracy? How's an elected president within the first one hundred days of his administration a threat to democracy? When he was elected to do certain things, and the Trumpsters about doing those certain things that we wanted to be done. Yet the theater of the absurd and what happens in the streets is that that is a threat
to democracy. That to me is completely unbelievable. And of course the extremism problem is such that if you don't win at the ballot box, which is happening more and more to Democrats, the first thing to do is to go to the streets. Take it to the streets. So instead of saying, well, let's go win elections, let's make sure that things are going well, let's make sure our ideas make some sense. Instead of doing that, the theater of the absurd take place, and which case, the art
of the demonstration begins. Hands off, et cetera, and the Democratic Party, through well funded mechanisms, we'll try to undermine the authority of a president duly elected. Seventy seven million people voted for Donald Trump in the last three cycles. We have more than two hundred and ten million people voted for Donald Trump in sixteen, twenty and twenty four.
It's obvious that the great majority of the American people said we don't want to open borders We don't want hand We do not want the policies of the hands off crowd. We want some functional military. We want to try to get rid of the waste, fraud, and abusing government. We want the military to be strong, we want police officers to be supported, and we want to reform government in one sense or another. But we voted for that.
How is an election a threat to democracy? Only the mind of a liberal Democrat who thinks, take it to the streets. If it's not working, take it to the streets. That is absurd. And Steve, A lot of people would like to know with the green energy breakdown happening. I see windmills falling apart in New England.
I see coal miners are happy in West Virginia. I see pipelines being now authorized. But one issue that's come to mind is all these tariff the teriff wars going on. You have said that these tariffs specifically will hammer green energy. Can you explain that to the American people.
Yeah, it's really amazing what's going on now. Not only we've talked about before the the Trumpet executive orders that want to cut down green energy for this country. We also talked about Trump suspending all of the offshore wind leases for the offshore wind which affects ten states and affects California, Oregon on the west coast, ten states on
the east coast. But now we have this tremendous tariff war going on, and this is really a big issue with green energy, and depending on when folks are listening to this, the United States has raised the tariffs on Chinese imports to over one hundred percent, and China has just boosted the retaliatory tariffs up to eighty four percent on US goods that are sold in China. So we have a tremendous war going on between the US and China. And there are some other angles to this as well.
First off, a lot of this green energy and that's because we import a lot of green energy components from China. China produces over eighty percent of the solar panels that come into the US, or they produce components, and China has been offshoring some of this to Vietnam and other places.
But Trump's tariffs are also.
On Vietnam, and so we have solar cells, we have components for batteries that go into electric vehicles. China refines about sixty percent of the world's lithium, eighty percent of the cobalt, ninety percent of the manganese, and these go into electric vehicle batteries and also the batteries that are going the grid scale batteries that California and New York and some other states want to put in the place
as well. So it's just a tremendous impact. Also have these tariffs affecting Europe, and many of the wind turbines that want to go off the East Coast are coming from a European suppliers and those are going to be hit with twenty percent or so. So really a tremendous impact on renewables. Whereas you know, we can remain the biggest producer of natural gas, of petroleum, of one of
the biggest producers of coal in the world. These things are US produced, and so the price difference between hydrocarbons and renewables is going to get very, very big.
And Steve gorm I live in the Midwest, and whether it's Ohio or Indiana, because we're largely flat because of the ice at the ice Age about fourteen thousand years ago, it scraped to land flat. So Indian, Ohio, many parts of Michigan have these huge wind turbines, and these things when they break down without a large battery storage system, these things don't work at all.
When the wind doesn't blow. The energy must be stored.
One of the things that's always perplexed me off the East Coast is out the environmentalists always cried about the whales and the dolphins are being affected because of pollution, and all of us are against pollution. Not too many of us are in favor of a green energy future because of the expenses. Can you explain why the environmentalist off New England suddenly find wind turbines which are gigantic.
These things are not like a windmill. These things are unbelievable in size that have killed literally millions of marine animals over the past ten years. And now they're breaking down and there's no parts available, and the parts have become available are too expensive. China has us in a bad position when you talk about lithium and cobalt. Why don't the environmentals care so much about whales and dolphins killed by their green energy future?
They don't seem to care.
Yeah, I think the environmental groups have sold their sold their souls to the superstittion.
Of man made global warming. You're right back in.
Nineteen fifties, nineteen sixties, nineteen seventies, it was save the whales, it was you know, talk about the oceans and the environment and and real pollution. But uh, the the theory of climatism or the ideology of climatism has really become front and center for every environmental group. And now they're even willing to trade off birds and eagles that are that are chopped up by wind turbans. Uh, impact on whales off off the coast, those things are now now
secondary to global warming. It's very, very unfortunate. And Uh, I think that's one of the reasons why mister Trump doesn't like wind turbines and why he sees put a block on the licenses off the east coast. But we're just going to see this industry really really hammered.
Uh.
And and it's not only the tariffs, but the Trump administration has been cutting a US climate policy throughout his organization. Uh. He's he's basically told NASA that you're going to concentrate on on space. Isn't that refreshing? Yes, because NASA was doing a lot of climate stuff. Noah is reducing head count. They have about thirteen thousand personnel, they're cutting about two thousand, and a lot of those are tied to climate things.
The EPA under Lee's Elden is cutting a lot of staff also tied to climate and the Federal Energy Management Agency is cutting staff that have been doing work on climate change. So just tremendous top to bottom shifts in the administration.
Well, we have Donald Trump wanting to save the whales and the Democrats want to kill them. Now another issue is Pete Hegseth. You have a great column post at Steve gorm about the new Secretary Department of Defense, and I saved the clip. I'm gonna play it later about Lloyd Austin sitting there and General Mark Milly. They're sitting there about two years ago, and one of the Republican senators said, Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, who, by the way,
was a lobbyist for Raytheon. But that's a different issue. What are the two or three biggest issue who's facing the American military? So I would thought, you know, the biggest issues are like China, about space, about the incapability we have of producing our own batteries to fuel, maybe the electrical grid. No, No, the biggest number one issue was white supremacy in the military, and the number two issue was climate change identification.
Then mitigation.
We have like seven hundred military bases in one hundred different countries, and so the Secretary of Defense and the Chairman of the Joint Chief said, we go into a military base, identify how we're inflicting ourselves upon the environment, and by doing so, we come up with a mitigation plan. So American military base, which is there to guard the natives, shall we say, whether in Europe or Asia or Africa
from being invaded or whatever. The biggest thing is not the well being of the soldiers, but we have to identify climate change, and then we have to mitigate and spend billions of dollars making sure that our military bases are conversant with the demands of Greta Thunberg. Can you explain to me how that's possible for the American military.
It's absolutely crazy. And this has been growing for a number of years now. Last month, the new Secretary of the Defense Department of Defense, Pete Hagsath, wrote that the Department of Defense does not do climate change crap. We do training and war fighting, and so again a tremendous change. But this has been growing back since about since the Obama administration about twenty ten. The Secretary of the Navy
at that time. Let's see Ray ABIs. He made a statement in twenty eleven that said, by no later than twenty twenty, at least half of the energy that the Navy uses, both afloat and the shore will come from non fossil fuel sources. And he called this the Great
Green Fleet Initiative. And so the Navy spent literally almost one hundred billion dollars over a decade trying to They tried to do hybrid election drive green destroyers, but then they found that they couldn't keep up with the carriers when they're running on those electric engines, and they tried to convert everything to biofuels, but the bio fuel portion of the fuel cost fourteen dollars a gallon, about seven times as much as a diesel portion, and so it
was a terrific failure. And by twenty twenty U twenty twenty two, if you exclude the nuclear carriers, less than one percent of the rest of the fuel came from biofuels, despite spending all these these billions. And then you know, but under the Biden administration.
They were doubling down.
And if you look at a climate report, there was a Climate Action two thirty plan from the Navy, and it was lauding things like these projects. They had one called the Mekong Delta Climate Research collaboration with the government of Vietnam, and then they had another one on California organic recycling and composting. This is the Navy, Navy, and so you got to say.
Well, how does this help Navy ruddiness?
You know, it's just leading.
And not only the Navy.
The Air Force wanted to do a sustainable aviation fuel and spend money on that for jets, and the Army, in a report called Army Climate Strategy Plan of twenty twenty two, called for taking all of the battlefield vehicles and making them electric, even the tanks.
Can you say an electric tank? Electric tank? Are you kidding me? An electric tank?
And not only that, they were developing battlefield chargers that they would carry out there and try and charge these these takes you sitting on the battlefield were charging. I mean, it's just crazy. But haigsth is getting rid of all this stuff and just another huge change to to get rid of this, this this climate ethic that has in inflated all of our government.
Now you have some great stats. EV share was an eight percent and twenty twenty three up slightly from I'm sorry twenty twenty five for EV sales fell nine percent without incentivizing and paying Americans through tax credits to buy the evs. How much better would we have been if we had gone to hybrids which creates its own energy because of the rolling of the tires, and Toyota is bet on hybrids and hydrogen instead of this dream of a of a of a fossil fuel energy future. How
much better off would we have been with hybrids? In fact, something Toyotas are on their mark with this.
Yeah, hybrids are growing, they're actually doing better than pure plug in evs. But the problem is, you know, the United States and Europe they were offering incentives but only for pure plug in electric vehicles a seventy five hundred dollars text credit. Europe was doing the same thing. And if you had a if you had a combustion engine in your car that burned gasoline, even if there's a hybrid, it's bad bad news.
You know.
So again the climate ideology was taking people away from what makes some sense, just another another bad set of policies.
UH and Lastly, I've heard you often say, Steve Gorham, that the evs are worse for the environment than regular gasoline powered cars. Can you tell the American people why if you buy an EV bribed by the government to do it, that is a worse ecological decision than a gasoline powered car.
Well, in other ways, you know, the government's been focused on getting rid of carbon dioxide emissions, and that really doesn't hurt the environment, that's what's crazy. And evs produced a little bit less of that. But as you say, uh, uh, they're producing. You need all these metals that are mined and developing nations the ore, and then it goes to
China for processing. So if we switch all our cars to evs, then we're dependent on China for for all the batteries and and for all the metals, and uh that would be not a good thing. And then and then you know, we have big areas of land require all this mining, huge amounts of land, and you have all this waste for metal production, and so you have
big pollution issues with evs as well. It can be not okay, but not in China, not in the Democratic Republic of Congo, where all these places are producing it right now, and now this big trade war is just going to shut all that down. Man, we just have a tremendous world in flex energy wise right now.
All the liberals that buy the evs and Tesla, I won't own an EV But nonetheless, I think about the thousands of kids on their hands and knees needs in the Congo actually digging for these products that are killing and destroying the lives of little black kids in the Congo to supply the base materials shipped off to China to have this battery technology. And you know, I thought
liberals cared about minority kids. I thought liberals cared about especially little black children on their knees in the dark
mining these exotic metals. But I guess liberals don't care, or the media doesn't cover it, and you at the gu bribes you to deparchase these evs, which I think that's over with now that maybe the media at some point will cover where these exotic materials come from and the cost to the natives living there, working in the dark and dying in caves by themselves because evs must have these exotic batteries. I've not seen one report anywhere what happens in the congo.
You know what I'm saying.
Yeah, it's been very very few. And then the flip side, not only the raw materials, but once the battery wears out, what do you do with it? Well, you can't recycle the thing. We've had like four recycling plants around the world that have have ignited and gone up in flames over the last two or three years because these batteries self ignite. So you have a big problem with all these batteries piling up. You put them in landfills. You know,
that's not such a good idea. It's very expensive to get the metals out of them, and then they're fire hazards as well. But you know, I think I think the world is stepping back from this a little bit, and we're putting a little bit of brakes on. So maybe we're going to get to some common sense again.

the back and like a homemade gun. But I tell you right now, there's a lot more political violence on the left and on the right. And CNN doesn't know it, but I just told you any form of political violence and which someone has hurt or injured victim of a firebomb shot in the back, no matter who it is, right or left, should be condemned by everyone and not used for political purposes by anyone. And once again, congratulations
to de Roy McElroy winning the Masters. He joins the parthenon of great golfers Gene Saracen, Ben Hogan and Gary Player and Jack Nicholas and Tiger Woods and now McElroy joins and those six greatest of all time some say, but nonetheless it was very emotional with great Masters.
