Portions of The Bill Cunningham Show may be pre recorded. Willie brought you by Choice Hotels, Econo Lodge and Roadway In Hotels are serving up double points for every qualifying stay book at Choice Hotels dot com. Now here's the man who's been recognized as radio's best, the recipient of not one, but two prestigious Marconi Awards for his broadcast episodes, the one and only Bill Cunningham. Hi, Billy Cunningham, the Great America, and welcome this New Year's Eve throughout
the United States of America. Love to have you with me, and lots of festivities going on. My Bengals went down hard like a cold Budweiser in a July afternoon at Kansas City. Taylor Swift, I thought she was yoko Ono for a while to the chiefs, but the Bengals tried like warrior poets, couldn't get it done without Joe Burrow. A lot of the playoff picture has been made more clear the last seven or eight hours. But nonetheless, it's New Year's Eve, getting ready for twenty twenty four, So I'm gonna
spend this New Year's Eve with you live on the Bill Cunningham Show. We have guests coming up later, including the great to Wayne Allen Root and Senator Ran Paul, my favorite senator from Kentucky, along with some of the reporting on what happened here in my home state of Ohio a couple days ago. My friend, and I do mean my friend. He's been my friend for thirty thirty five years, not going to change when he does something wrong.
That's Governor Mike DeWine, who I met when he was a Green County prosecutor in Little Cedarville, Ohio, and I've known him ever since. I like him a lot. He made a mistake and he vetoed so called House Bill sixty eight, pass overwhelmingly in the Ohio House Ohio Senate, which would say that a child under the age of eighteen cannot transition to some other gender until they're eighteen years old. Even if the parents in the hospital and the doctor
says yes it's medically appropriate, that can't happen. There's all kinds of things that the government tells adults and parents what they can and can't do with their children all the time. It's not unusual, in fact as usual that parents have wide births to raise their children as they want to as well as they can. And let's face it, we either have the worst crop of parents ever, but we have a dysfunctional family structure in this country right now.
And fortunately I think things are changing slightly, I hope. So whenever I hear this topic, the left says you're obsessed with transgender rights. No, the obsession is on the left, not with normal people like me. Is it one tenth of one percent or is it a half of one percent? Or is it one percent of Americans consider themselves to be gender dysphoric. Very small number doesn't mean it's irrelevant, but it's not like a big issue in
the United States of America. But if you watch CNN or read major newspapers, it's either race or sex and all the components of each that drive media coverage of everything. So I guess things have been too quiet. You can't find examples of enough racism or sexism to fill up a newspaper Phillip, CNN or MSNBC. So what you do is come up with new rights, and that is the rights of a fourteen, fifteen, sixteen year old or the rights of a twenty five year old male to box a woman. I wouldn't
note. Yesterday on Saturday, the US Olympic Boxing Committee said that men can box women in the Olympics. I said, are you kidding me? I don't know. Liberals pushed the idea of equal rights for women Title nine. Some conservatives thought, you know, maybe that's too far talking about the seventies and eighties because women and men are equal. But damn it were different. But what happened is is now widely accepted, widely accepted of equal rights,
equal funding for girls and for women. And the same group the left wing liberals who have said the Rachel Maddow types of all these discriminations happening against girls and women, now participate in the group causing the discrimination by saying that a man should be able to play female sports as long as they identify as such. I may identify it as an ardvark. That doesn't mean I like to eat ants. Reality exist it or not, and I am certain I may
use the term. A friend of mine has a boy who began transitioning when he was about thirteen or fourteen to a girl with address the hormones. I haven't asked about gender mutilation, whatever you want to call it, and it's a profound mental disorder of gendernice for you that in your body you think you're something different. It could be one of the one hundred and nine different genders one hundred and nine. And that doesn't mean I have to play in to
your fantasies of what you identify as such. But right now there are so many LGBTQ plus laws impacting children to take effect in about two or three hours of January the first, and I have a rundown of states, and I'll save you the list, but the long and extensive, and practically every Blue state, which is about twenty four in the country. There's all kinds of
brand new gender affirming laws taking place all over the country. Louisiana join twenty other states with books being banned as experimental and public libraries that they allow now irreversible so called gender affirming care for miners, including a puberty blockers, hormonal therapy treatment, sex ray assignment surgery. The band takes effect, the activities takes effects January the first. Then I go to some of these other states.
California, beginning tomorrow, all stores that sell children's items must implement a gender neutral section that are neither male nor female at Target or it colls, whatever it might be. Quote a retail departmental store that is physically located in California, that is a total of five hundred and more employees across all retail departments that sell children care items or toys must maintain a gender neutral section or
area. That's what's happening. Illinois is another one of those states. You take the Blue States, and they're fully on board with vicious discrimination against girls and women, and they're in favor of parents and hospitals and doctors transitioning to a different gender. One of the other one hundred and nine generally a taxpayer expense. And a little Birdie told me on Friday when I made calls about
this issue, that planned parenthood is behind the next thrust. Now, when you talk to those in the field, as I've done repeatedly, it's into chronology, it's psychiatric services, it's surgical services, it's psychiatric and psychological testing and services. So for one child to transition to a different gender, the full boat is hundreds of thousands of dollars each generally paid for by the federal government. What happens in ten years if they say you know what, I
made a mistake. I was thinking with a sixteen year old mind. Therefore, I'm going to sue the doctors and hospitals that did this to me. What percent have buyer's remorse in ten years, Well, we're not sure yet because we haven't gotten there with this new stuff ten years from now. But the Planned Parenthood has to raised its hand off to the side, and this is what's coming. Planned Parenthood was funded by the Biden administration to the tune
of hundreds of millions or billions of dollars. When requests were made to PPE and PPP and a whole bunch of other government COVID related programs, they were at the first of the door with their handout, getting your tax dollars. It's a stay afloat when abortions were difficult because of COVID. So they now understand that the pharmaceuticals, the drug allowed by the Biden administration which will cause a pharmaceutical abortion is used now by about two thirds of all women. Yes,
women have children who desire an abortion two thirds. So you don't go to planned parenthood, you don't go to a doctor. And with Republicans in charge of the House, them. Money's not being handed out so freely anymore. So Planned Parenthood has a plan, and that is to have drive through transgender procedures, hormonal therapies and more, because that is where they can make
serious money. So Planned Parenthood wants you get into gender affirming care that includes puberty blockers, hormonal therapy treatment, and sex reassignment surgery for those under eighteen, but mainly those over eighteen. You can be twenty thirty years old and you want to have puberty blockers, ormonal therapy treatment and more. Now, experts will tell you, I hate the term experts, that you need all kinds of medical professionals around you to make the right decisions. This isn't something
you can just drive through and order a cheeseburger to go. But Planned Parenthood sees billions of dollars and puberty blockers, hormonal therapy treatment, and sex assignment surgeries, and so they want to get into this business big time because abortions
surgically are going out the window. It has been predicted that within three to five years there'll be less than ten percent of all abortions, which is killing the unborn, will be done through pharmaceutical means and not through surgical means, so planned parenthood would be out of business. They've got to get a new area of money, and that would be gender affirming care for miners and those
and adults nineteen or twenty year olds. Why spend all the money at a hospital when you can actually, shall we say, have a drive through treatment, get a little bit of counseling, and show up at Plan Aaron Hood and away you go. And so we're headed to something you and I could not have imagined a few years ago. Things are quiet and peaceful. I think women minorities have as much equal rights as can be given. When bad behavior is identified, it is quickly smited down with the jawbone of an ass.
Well, we look at it. It's ugly. CNN cares about two things, which is race and sex and all the numbers under each. That that's most of what they do. Plus Trump. We'll get on Trump in a minute. And I want to think I got four calls on hold already. I'm gonna take a lot of calls tonight because this is your show, this is how it began, and we're going to talk about that later on.
Going back to my days when Sean Hannity and Sean Compton and Julie Talbert and others said to me, what I like to broaden myself out and do the Matt Drudge son and I'd show about in twenty oh five. We'll talk about that later, but essentially look forward to this year of complete and utter
chaos. Chaos will be everywhere because they believe that arresting Donald Trump, indicting Donald Trump, seizing his assets, Donald Trump in prison for the rest of his life, Donald Trump bankrupt, living in a one room shack and mar Lago is what they want, encouraged by Joe Biden, who told the Attorney
General, go get Donald Trump, and that's exactly what's transpired. All the communications between the Fulton County prosecutor and the New York City prosecutor and the US Attorney's Office and Smith, etc. Have all been encouraged by Democratic leaders like Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, and of course Joe Biden when he has a lucid moment every now and then. So we're gonna review the year that was
and coming up my hopes, my predictions for twenty twenty four. But lastly, on the transgender woman front, coming up in about an hour and a
half will be a state representative. Genie Schmidt. She spent many years in the US Congress and now is the leader of the House, and we're going to talk about to what House bills sixty eight in Ohio said his big news on Friday and Saturday yesterday when Dwine vetoed it, and he said he had spoken to parents of children with great psychiatric difficulties who were going to kill themselves, and these parents told Governor Mike DeWine that essentially his veto will save their
life and they can live. So is always the Left gives you one hell of a choice, either kill children or support parents who mutilate their children. Those are my childs. Do I have a third door to look at? Such as gender dysphoria has been there since the beginning of time and it's going
to be here for the rest of our life. And if you're over eighteen and you want to do the whole deal a planned parenthood, get all your hormonal blockers and your betas and get your get all your gender affirming care surgery, et cetera. And you're twenty three years old and Key West, have at it. Do it. It's on your dime. You live your life. I'm a libertarian conservative. If you're sixteen years old, the government tells you as a parent all kinds of things you can and can't do as a
parent with your own child. One of them is if your kid needs Thailand all at school or school wants to your kid falls down, gets hit in the head with a baseball, and you need you need surgery or stitches. Parents have got to agree, except when it comes to genderary assignment surgery. Because the left and the media only covers this from one perspective. There's no fair reporting of the topic. The mainstream media is a joke, and it's
getting worse almost every day. But in many ways, I think I have a wish list for twenty twenty four. I want to I want you to call in and give me your two or three things, maybe one thing you want to see happen. Number one wish list I have is the Southern Border, and you listen to Ali Bradley of News Nation and many others report from there. Of course, the mainstream media does allows you job reporting on what's
happening because it doesn't fit their agenda. Now that I've had live reports this year from Lukeville, Arizona and Ego Pass Texas, and we're the laughing stock of the entire world right now. No other nation goes through this. In the Southern Hemisphere, socialist thug Nicholas the Maduro of Venezuela. He's now threatening to infringe upon neighboring Guyana's territory sovereignty. Everywhere I look, our problems are
solvable with the right leadership. They're insoluble if Joe Biden's incompetence is allowed to continue. And so Danny boy Gleeson, I want to thank him for the year together as my producer. When I look back over this year, our problems are caused by the failure of liberal left wing Democrats. Let's face it, Joe Biden has generally been a moderate to left democratic senator and also working with his VP, had his pockets open to receive millions of dollars all over
the world as our vice president got out alive. Because Eric Holder was the wingman for the Obama Biden team and wouldn't investigate despite having all these eyes on the fraud, and had all these reports of the Department Treasury of the monies flowing into the Biden family. They ignored it completely. He could have ruled as a moderate Democrat, he did not. Now we're in some unmitigated disaster. So let's continue. Maybe I'll talk about the ten or fifteen minutes.
And we have called set up right now from Missouri and Tampa and Idaho, New Hampshire and more. Two lines are open eight six six six four seven seven three three seven. Bill Cunningham, the Great American with you every Sunday
night. You know. It's the year twenty oh five, but nineteen years ago, and I'm at a place called King's Island, a large amusement park outside of Cincinnati, Ohio, and I'm on stage with Sean Hannity and Montgomery Gentry, which was my favorite country due at the time and one of my pleasures. Sean Hannah and I became friends at least since the late nineteen eighties early nineteen nineties, share so much in common. We text her talk frequently.
And we get up on stage with Montgomery Gentry in front of about ten thousand mainly of their fans and Hannity fans, and we sang with them the song my Town. Some of the lyrics I think included where I was raised, and I keep all my yesterday's I ran off because I got mad and came to blows and my old man. It's where I came back to settle down. This is where they're going to put me in the ground. This
is my town. So we come off stage, and then the handy and I are talking, and next to him is a guy named Sean Compton, who at that point was running a clear channel, and he was on the phone with a guy named Matt Drudge, who I'd never ad met, but somewhat reclusive, a collecting guy, ran the Drudge Report. And I hear this conversation. You sure you want to do this? Are you sure?
So Sean Compton hangs up, and I'm standing there with Eddie Montgomery and with Sean Hannity and me, and and Compton says, you can't believe this. Matt Drudge says he's done doing Sunday Nights, don't want to do it anymore. And so really, because me the great American, I listen to that guy all the time. Drudge Report was on my computer. I think the last few years has lost its way. But I'll continue with the story. Let's continue. I will take calls. I want to hear from you the
American people at eight sixty six six four seven seven three three seven. Bill cunning and the Great American with you every Sunday night. There's a full sale sign on the bigel. The tractor headed Danny boy, I'd love It's Montgomery Gentry if you went to see Unfortunate Death of Troy and twenty head at Montgomery. I love Jenny paint In Fried Grin. He's my wheelder by the courthouse singing I love this and the flying and the sun goes down, singing this
is spot text. Yes, my tail, hey raised yesterday went off because I got mad and it came of God. Man came back, set it down, slay that me in the ground. This is my great job, Danny boy. Can you see Eddie Montgomery, Troy Gentry, Sean Hannity and Bill Cunningham on stage at King's Island in twenty oh five, And that's the reason I'm sitting here now? Now, how's that possible? Well? I love these guys and handed he had the connection. He was doing tours at
that point and Eddie said to me, hey, can you sing? And I said, you know, I don't sing badly, so let's do it. Go out there in front of ten thousand people. I hit a couple of lines, come off the stage. Phone rings. It's Matt Drudge calling Sean Compton saying, you know what, I'm done doing Sunday Nights. And at that point they're looking at each other and handed. He's not really directly involved at all because he's doing his own thing on Fox and Radio. And
I'm proud to be on Fox Radio, especially in Southwest Florida. Fox Radio and Florida has been great a lot of listeners. But nonetheless, so Seaon says, well, who are we going to get to do Sunday Night, which was, by the way, two nights away. Handed, he says, we'll get Willie. And he looked at me and he said, can you do Sunday Nights? I said, well, at this point, I've done radio for like twenty three years, and my life is real busy.
At that point, I was actively trying cases, probably one a month criminal defense attorney. I gone through my phase as an assistant Attorney General. And at that point also I owned restaurants Willie's Sports Cafe, and I said, well, I'm not doing anything else Sunday night at ten o'clock. Most Sunday nights. At ten o'clock, I'm staring at the back of my eyelids. But I said, let's do it. I'll try it. So at that point he said, let's try it for a few months to see how it
goes well. At this point, it's been about nineteen years and still here. And it's because of you, because you listen, because you buy the products that are averaging, because you hear things either information or humor, that you may not hear other places. And on a Sunday night, there's not a lot going on. Things are quiet right now. There's tens of thousands of truckers listening. There's many many messengers that are driving thither and fro,
whether it's with Amazon or ups that are working on Sunday nights. And there's many Americans that are in condos of villas in and around Naples, Florida, in and around and Sino in Las Vegas on the far rech reaches of the
UP that are actually paying attention. And so over the last eighteen years, this show has grown in listenership and sponsorship, maybe by default because not much is going on Sunday night, but mainly because of Eddie Montgomery and God rest his soul, Troy Gentry, the song My Town, Sean Hannity, Jillie Talbert, a little bit of Me and Sean and started, and I think it's got some more gas left in the tank. But thank you now,
lastly, full lines. I promised it to the calls. Lastly, jump ahead with me to uh November sixth of next year, and Donald Trump is the president elect. That he made it through the hurdles and the briar patches and the indictments and the lawsuits and the media coverage, and he's the president elect. I ask you this question, are things going to be quiet and calm and under control with the Democratic Party and our media if Trump is re elected? The answer is not just no, hell no, It's going to
be one the wildest four years in American history. And yes, I get it. If the Democrats control the House, they're gonna immediately impeach him. God knows the reason. They impeached him for nothing the last time. They'll do it again. In fact, they impeached him the last time after he wasn't even in office anymore, he'd left, and they still impeached him. So they will sue him. Prosecutors in Fulton County, prosecutors in Chicago,
prosecutors in New York. Maybe Los Angeles are gonna indict him and sue him and make his life miserable. They're gonna haul his family back into court for hundreds of depositions. It'll never stop. If Donald Trump can put up with that, you and I should compliment him on his strength and courage, and let's go. Now. Let's say it's gonna be chaos, and America will
be at peace. The southern border will be locked down, There'll be no more grossed by bi nomics of wasteful spending and corrupt subsidies for evs and special interest regulations and job killing taxes. All that will be gone. But the media will be apoplectic. There will be nuts, and they will not stop. They won't say, you know what, let's give this guy a chance. It didn't happen in twenty sixteen, for God's sake, it won't happen
in twenty twenty four. Now that's what's gonna happen. It's gonna be ugly, but it's going to be good. On the other hand, he imagine it is now the day after the election is November sixth, and the Democratic candidate will not be Joe Biden. At some point, they've thrown everything at the Trumpster and has not worked. So the Democrats will come up with someone who can beat Donald Trump, and the likely person is going to be Michelle
Obama or Gavin Newsom. Then away we go. And if that person, if Gavin Newsom or Michelle Obama or god forbid, Kamala Harris is our president for four years, imagine America in those four years now with Trump in office, We'll have less taxes, less corrupt subsidies, less inflation, less military involvement and strikes. More American soldiers will live, there will be less job
killing taxes, and less wasteful spending. Along You and I are going to have to put up with what the media and the Democrats will do again to Donald Trump. On the other hand, imagine the policies that created the Southern border invasion crisis collapse continuing from today's state at least five more years. Imagine what's happening in Chicago, New York, Los Angeles. Those policies are going to continue for the four years of the Democratic interchangeable drill bit that took over
the presidency. Can we survive with that until twenty twenty nine? The answer is no. The country we cannot take on another fifty to one hundred million itinerant refugees deciding themselves to come to America and break our laws. The hospitals can't stand it, the schools cannot stand it, the homeless shelters cannot stand it, the criminal activity cannot stand it. And so your choice is gonna
be either way, complete and utter chaos. With Trump reelected, that chaos will be well known and it will be personal that Donald Trump and Eric Trump and Donald Trump Junior, Kemerily Guilfoyle and his family, and they're gonna try to bankrupt the guy, and they're gonna try to lock him up for the rest of his life. They're gonna issue indictments against him to be held until
twenty twenty nine followay. By that point, the guy is going to be like eighty five years old, so they'll never stop because he was so successful. They have to destroy him. And so that's one approach, but the other approach will destroy the country. We cannot survive from this date five more years of the Bidenomics, which is over the last three years, twenty percent of inflation, confiscatory Texas, blue cities and blue states being emptied. Look
what's happening in Oakland. They've lost fifty percent of their population on their way down to seventy percent. The little city of Cincinnati has lost forty percent of its population. And we're doing so much better than the larger cities and the red states, and the red cities are filling up, whether it's New Mexico, Utah, Nevada, Texas, Florida, the Carolinas, Mississippi, Alabama, Nashville. Tonight's got the big party going on. I'm looking it's pretty
good stuff. And so we have a choice, not of chaos. That's going to be a given. It used to be that when the president was elected, even when we disagreed with there was like a one or two year honeymoon period. With Donald Trump's election, the FBI, the DOJ at the top Washington leadership said this guy sink the Bismarck. And they began the investigation of Donald Trump before he even took the oath of office. And thirty six
Democrats refused to go to the inaugural. They'd give him no chance. Zero zilch Nada continued fraudulent investigations for which hardly anyone has paid a dime for. And then when the indictment shall shall I say the impeachment it was not successful because they didn't have the evidence and it collapsed in the lies, they simply move on to the next thing they never acknowledged. Love means never having to
say you're sorry. You'll never hear that from a Democrat Liberal never zero And so believe the Great American, whoever is elected on November fifth, twenty twenty four, will be complete utter chaos with Trump election. That chaos will be on him and his family. Plus he needs to hire three thousand leaders to
take over a cabinet, officials, et cetera. Which reasonable person wants to go serve with the Donald Trump, which should be I'd be honored to do so, but I would have to know that Democratic prosecutors are going to indict you, subpoenaing you, and make your life miserable. Because of that association with the Donald. You'll have a difficult time getting quality three thousand people to
fill up the seats. Plus he's a bear to work for, so most people aren't going to do it, the jobs will be hard to be filled. That's fine. We have many of us have competent state government, and so as a consequence, life goes on. So on one hand, you got Donald Trump, chaos, indictments, more lawsuit sliming by the mainstream media
on any issue, and complete chaos. Now, on the other hand, looking over to my far left, if a Democrat is elected, you're going to have wasteful spending, government mandates, corrupt subsidies, runaway inflation, American military used all of the world, often for monetary purposes, job killing, taxes, and more. So, what do you prefer Trump and his family to go through hell and the country succeed, or for the country to go through hell and Trump to face ninety one counts of a federal indictment. I
care about America. I want this country to be a better place than my parents my mother gave to me. So that's the choice. And the media knows everything they've thrown at this guy's not work. So far. Every indictment has caused them to become more popular because we know what they're doing. Every lawsuit makes them more popular because we know what they're doing. Only Democrats are
charging him. No reasonable Republican would bring these charges because they're wrong. So looking forward, I'm optimistic that in twenty twenty four, November, the fifth, say, Tuesday after the first Monday in November, we're gonna reelect Donald Trump, and all hell's gonna break loose by the media. But the country's going to be better off. If the Democrat is elected, all hell's going to break loose, and the country will not be better off, It'll be
worse. So let's continue. I promise to shut up. When we continue. My first call will be Mark from Missouri, and then Eddie and Paul and Dave and Joe and thousands of others. Cleveland Browns are in the playoffs. That's the son of the Apocalypse. One of my great stations is TM and Cleveland. Thank you. Of course, we have great We have three hundred and twenty five great stations around this country and about one million listeners.
Happy New Year, Bill Cunningham, your calls are next. Happy New Year, Bill Cunningham, the Great American with you every Sunday night. Would you want your town run like Oakland or Portland or Chicago or New York? Is that what you want? Policies have caused that and policy changes can stop it. Let's go to the calls, as I promised. First of all, we have Mark and Missouri. Mark and Missouri, welcome to the Bill Cunningham Show. Happy New Year's Eve to you, Mark, Same to you,
Bill. And there was a good story about how you started on the radio here on the national level, and we all appreciate to you being there for nineteen years. And I appreciate you let me on so much. It's a great show, and you expose what the danger of this country is and probably better than anyone, so millions appreciate you. Well, Marco. First of all, what about your Kansas City Chiefs beating up on my Bengals this evening? What about that? What about Taylor Smith? Let's how she was like,
you'll go own up. What happens? You got to get team with that backup quarterbacks? Pretty darn good. And course Burrow will be back next year, so I think they got a bright future. Well, I mean, Taylor Swift became like the Yoko Ono of the Chiefs and suddenly they win.
But nonetheless, please, you got about two minutes. Go ahead, okay, real quick, I comment on your governor vetoing that bill that's a total lie that kids commits suicide at higher he felt for a lie or I don't know what he was doing, but a Heritage's Foundation study debunks that. And just think a child is going to kill themselves unless they can mutilate and direct themselves. And the false hope that they can change sex. It's impossible
to change sex anyway. Just so many lies with his transgender madness, and it's just another Democrat attempt to bring down the country. But my main point was on this border. The Republicans you talked about wishes for the new year, they have to get tough. They're talking about legislation related to the Ukraine funding. That's crazy. Biden doesn't follow legislation. He's broken so many laws anyway. He should be impeached for the border. It's the greatest crime,
maybe of any president in the history of the pre world. How he's overrun our country with millions and President Trump just pointed out that, you know, it's all about the vote. They're signing up millions of illegals to vote, and of course they'll vote Democrat because they get their phones and their welfare and their houses, just like they did the African Americans with the great society. It's over again that the Democrat Party hates the country, as Mark Levin says,
and they're trying to destroy it so they can rebuild it. Obama's behind it. He promised to transform America and that's what he's doing. Soros China, it's a chemical attack in America with the fentanyl. It's we are greatly under attacking. The Republicans. They do have a slim majority. They've got to use their financial strength. They have the power of the purse. They have to shut down the border or shut down the government. They got to
get grave. It's very unlikely at this point that they'll have the courage, but they have to. Our country is on the line. It's more than politics, but good policy is good politics. They've got they're going to the border. That's good. They got to expose what's going on. But they have to take action and they got to get tough. Just passing legislation by ignores that he doesn't follow the law in any So, if we're going to save this country, we have the Republicans. They've got to do it right
now. You talk about twenty four, we might not make it to the twenty twenty four election runner country. I mean, that's a little hyperbole, but if we keep it living in twelve thousand a day, that's just that's not survivable. And the Democrats are doing it. The media doesn't report it. It's really just a dire situation. Well, lastly, I would say
this mark great call. I'm glad you're a listener and a caller. David Axelrod, who's forgotten more about democratic politics than anyone knows, warns warns that if Trump is prevented from running, it will destroy and tear the country in half. If there's eighty million people that want to vote for Trump and the Democrats say we're going to indict him, imprison him, sue him into oblivion, and don't let that opponent run, David Axelrod says that will destroy the
country. How about you and me paying attention to David Axelrod and saying, you know what, this must stop. David Axelrod dands with normal Americans and saying Democrats cannot be permitted to do this to Donald Trump more importantly, to us, let us freely vote in a democracy. I thought Democrats cared about democracy. Maybe not. Maybe they care more about winning and getting control of
the nation's checkbook. Bill Cunningham with you another great Americans. Every Sunday night, Willie brough you by Choice Hotels, Econo Lodge and Roadway In Hotels are serving up double points for every qualifying stay book at Choice Hotels dot com. Now here's the man who's been recognized as best the recipient of not one, but two prestigious Marconi Awards, for he is broadcast exodence, the one and
only the old cunning Head. All right, let's continue. In about a half an hour or so, State Representative Genie Schmidt will be here to respond to the veto of Governor Mike DeWine to the so called transgender bill. Also later on is Wayne Allen route from Las Vegas. Quite midnight there getting close here in the Eastern time zone. Also later on is my favorite senator from Kentucky. Of course, that's read of the low bar, Senator Ran Paul.
Lastly, before I continue with calls. Lastly, I'm watching CNN and by the way, their coverage New Year's Eve is embarrassing. It's awful.
Nonetheless, David Axelrod is the guru, is kind of the car Will Rove of the Democratic Party, Big Times Chicago liberal got Obama elected, fashioned the narrative the media swallowed about him, hook Line and Sinker and David Axelrod yesterday morning was on with CNN and warned that what would happen in America if Trump was prevented from running by secretaries of states and Colorado Supreme courts, et cetera.
And he said, quote Trump, he wanted to set up a construct which says they're coming for me because he's running for president and they are trying to prevent him from becoming president. We've run this experiment, he said, He's only gained since it started, getting indicted. You thought what we thought, what we thought we was kryptonite turned out to be battery packs. And this is a big one. He said. It would be dangerous for democracy
for Trump to be kept off the ballot. Quote I do think it would rip the country apart if you were actually prevented from running, because tens of millions want to vote for him. I think you're going to beat Donald Trump, beat him with ideas the polls. This comes after Shena Bellows, the main secretary of State, about three or four days ago, ruled that she sat as the Chief Justice of the US Supreme Court and kept him off the main ballot, which is anti democratic, and the CNN who spent his time
as a threat to democracy. Whatever the liberals say is a threat. Whatever they want to scourge the opponents with is what they're doing. So when I'm told that too many of us are transphobic because of transgender rights issues, they're the ones that are transphobic. They're the ones who are obsessed with transgender issues. When CNN talks about a threat to democracy, their coverage is a threat
to democracy. Joe Biden, what he's doing on the southern border in major cities, giving aid and comfort to the enemy, that is a threat to democracy. The way to resolve this is let us vote fairly, to have legal votes count. That's something that Democratic party does not want. We will have chaos the next ten months, and the closer Trump gets to the presidency, the more the ridiculous behavior of the mainstream media will occur. It's Joe
Scarborough and Mieka in the morning, CNN, MSNBC. They're going to bleed from their eyeballs if it gets to the middle of October and Trump is not in prison yet and he's going to win the presidency, they will go frigging nuts. But on the other hand, they're going to say, you know what, the next four years is going to be pretty good for media.
It'll be horrible, horrible for liberalism, but it's going to be great for the country because with Trump and the White House, we will have total, absolute chaos and the country will be better off with the interchangeable drill bit in the White House as a Democrat. The policies on the southern border with fentanyl, in the Ukraine, in Korea, in Southeast Asia, Russia, China, policies will continue, and I can imagine fifty million more, one hundred
million more. Polling indicates a billion more want to come to the country, and all Joe Biden slash Kamala Harris slash just pick one, Printzer Kevin Newsom, just pick one. They want to have the country look like Chicago, Los Angeles, Portland or Seattle. Is that what you want? You want the country to look like Atlanta or New York City, then vote for the Democrat. So we're going to have chaos after the election in November, and
the country either either will be better off or worse off. And the answer is Democrat worse off? Trump better off, but he better prepare him and his family and as lawyers and associates to go through a living hell. They will do anything to stop him from getting control of the nation's military and the nation's checkbook, because that's where their power comes from. The checkbook. They want to be able to write the checks and raise the taxes and favor their
friends and hurt their enemies and indict their political opponents. And the reason that Trumpster is up here and Biden is down there is because average Americans are figuring out what liberal Democrats have done to them for decades and years. In fact, the Black Lives Matter leader in Delaware said he's voting for Donald Trump. He can't take the lies of Biden and the promises anymore of liberal Democrats.
Let's go to the calls as I promised. Coming up later as a representative Jeanie Schmidt and also win Alan Root and also Senator Ran Paul and Day from rock Hill, South Carolina, DA. Welcome to the Bill Cunningham Show, and Dave, Happy New Year and give me a full report. Hey am I talking to Bill? You're talking to Bill right now? Hey? Okay, great deal? At least I got a signal. Hey, I'll just listen to you every chance I ever get. And you're the greatest. You
are the great America. God bless you, God bless you. What Give me one thing you want to happen next year? Give me twenty twenty four, Give me one hope of prediction. I'm going for Donald Trump. I think he's gonna get it. You know, if that happens, they'll be chaos. You know, the country is gonna be better off. We're gonna have chaos. I'd rather have chaos in a better country than chaos in a worst country. Let's continue now from Cleveland. Is that the AC is that
correct? AC in Cleveland, the home of the Browns who now are in the playoffs, and the Bengals are not. Give me a full report. Well we're talking. I want to talk about the transgender There's a scripture in the Bible that says a house divided cannot stand. Lincoln quoted the scripture concerning the country, but it also applies to individual people. And somebody that wants to change their gender is divided within themselves. And they got problems. Issues,
got issues. We all have issues. You got issues. I got issues. And if somebody thinks, if they look at themselves in the shower and they look down south and see male equipment, and if they perceive that to be female or vice versa, they got issues. It's called gender dysphoria.
Does in our society, TikTok and the culture encourage a young person who's confused to transition to some other gender, because that's what the left does, dividing the house against itself and taking away all kinds of rights and responsibilities. So the fact of the matter is if you if I think tonight or tomorrow that the Great American is a female, I might want to go, say a psychiatrist. I might want to get some psychological help. One thing I
will not do is have something cut off and say I'm a woman. Done work that way. Well, a lot of this people that want to do this, and a lot of it's happening with teenagers. And what's happening is you have a lot of teenagers that are vaping marijuana, and the chemicals in marijuana cause a change, can cause a change in sexual and or gender orientation.
Absolutely, And I'm telling you these I have a neighbor who has had he graduated but the resource officer told the parent that just about all the students are doing vaping, just about all of them in a public high school, and the results are tragic. Well, you know, it sounds to me like you lived a long time. I've never seen the country in this shape. I saw a poll yesterday that said seven percent of Americans think we have
good political leadership. I'm shocked. No, it's seven percent. I'm looking around thinking, and the system does not encourage good men and women to run. It says, don't do it. And the political class, the Nancy Pelosi's, the Chuck Schumers, the Mitch McConnell's take over, and good people don't want to run. I'm shocked that Donald Trump wanted to do this in twenty sixteen. I'm dan glad he did. Imagine the country if Hillary Clinton
had won for eight years and then Kamala Harris. I mean, we're done, and so I just pray to God that enough of us figure it out ac before it's too late. And it's getting late because the southern border is wide open. Suicides at an all time high. Fatne one hundred and twenty five thousand killed every year. We have one thousand Americans killed on city streets. We have a bunch of deficit of thirty four trillion dollars added two trillion
dollars every year. We have the US military fighting all over the world, with seven hundred and fifty military bases and one hundred different nations ready to fight anybody at a moment's notice. We're in a shooting gallery right now in Iraq. Everywhere I look, I see, Oh my god, it's a disaster here. The college's universities are indoctrination centers. They're not educational centers. They
indoctrinate the next leaders. Everywhere I look, it's not but chaos. And if we don't stop at some point and say, okay, the opposition to Donald Trump one to imprison him for life and bankrupt them by any means necessary. And they're on the way to doing it. And even David ox Arad has figured out this cannot happen. This would ruin the country. If the Democratic Party imprisons the leader of the opposition about to assume the presidency, and
right now the country's in sham, it can't be any worse. And the media wants the same policies to continue. And thank you for your call. It's take a short break. We have thousands on hold eight six six six four seven seven three three seven. I don't want to be pessimistic. I want to be realistic. Imagine five more years of the policies we've had for the past three What would the country look like with fifty million more economic refugees
coming here, incapable of working, not fitting in our society. Imagine just that aspect of the Biden policy, What America looks like? Eleven nineteen am. I'm sorry, eleven nineteen PM. Bill Cunningham with you every Sunday night. Hi, Billy Cunningham. Ryan Seacrest is a media mogul, great radio personality and more. A few minutes ago, Times Square, I believe it is Time Square flipped up quickly. He had a forty second interview with the
President of the United States, broadcast all over the world. This is a leader so called of the free world. This is Joe Biden in his own words. Does this make sense to you? Danny Gleason hit it. As you look back and reflect on twenty twenty three, what sort of of memories highlights stand out for you? Well, one of the big highlights stands out for me is my dad used to have an expression, you say, Joey, a job's about a lot more than the paycheck. I've got your dignity,
it's about respect. So many people through the Midwest and the center of the country, their factors are shipped overseas the last couple of times out and then they're losing hope and faith. So we brought a lot of jobs back to the United States. People are in position to be able to make a living now and they've created a lot of jobs, over fourteen million. And I guess when I'm I just feel good that the American people got up.
They've been through a rough time with pandemic, but now we're coming back. They're back. They're back. Well, we're not back. In fact, your policies have about a thirty six percent approval factor, which means sixty four percent of us do not approve of what you're doing. We figured it out. Let's continue with the calls and we can take the road already taken. Are you better off today than you were four years ago? Huh? I
don't think so much worse policies, cause this policies can correct it. Let's continue now with Eddie and Tampa and Eddie and Tampa, welcome again to the Bill Cunningham Show. Eddie, how are you good? Bill? Thank you very much. Happy New Year. Well, let me go from west coast to the east coast quickly. Here. Legos are going to be getting free healthcare in California. They're bringing in diseases in Mexico and into the classrooms.
Dallas has three hundred and eighty finance jobs, more than Chicago and LA. The occupancy rate in New York is seventeen percent. And before you talk, the two sports teams in DC are leaving. You know, when you have Representative Quagar and an FBI agent being carjack, that's pretty good reason to move to Virginia. Do the policies work? No, I just corrected the president, so he's lying through a seat, and shame on ABC and Ryan Secret
to put him on. You know how Johnny Carson never had politicians, No, try not to. He put him on. And Johnny Carson's idea was, look, America wants to come at night to listen to entertainment, some fun, a little bit of politics, but not much. And in fact, you couldn't tell if Johnny Carson was a Democrat or Republican. Well, when you added up, add up on the southern border, Eddy, the policy failures of Joe Biden resulted in what on the southern border. We have
one hundred and twenty five thousand Americans dead every year from fentanyl. We have approximately fifteen million illegals not being tested, not knowing who they are, flooding the country thither and fro. We have a massive breakout of diseases along the southern border. We have a school system along the southern border, and in fact, in Chicago, New York that doesn't function at all. It's a
daycare service in New York City public schools. In fact, they had an additional one hundred thousand illegal children show up to be educated on the first day of school, one hundred thousand. Now, what do you do with one hundred thousand more bodies that are maybe twelve years old, that don't understand English and read fourth at the four year old level the system of public education as Yeah, they can kind of for the census numbers and then though that way
they'll get more money from the federal coverment. That's right. Yeah, So and so where are the where's bidernomics working? Well? The American military. When Trump left office, he didn't start any wars. He ended him. And in fact, no American soldier died in a rocker Afghanistan during those four years, because he told the leaders of the Taliban what he would do if it occurred. Right now, American soldiers are in a shooting gallery because Joe
Biden has no clue what's happening. The staff around him runs the executive branch of government that make the federal court appointments, They do everything. And so Joe Biden still is in Saint Croix tonight. He's coming back, I think on the second. And can you imagine if Donald Trump had been gone this long on vacation fifty percent of the time in where Lago, what would the
media do with that? Yeah, it'd be a good tax. And if you would have said no to those fourteen dollars stimulus checks, well, whatever it is, you know, Eddie, I'd rather have chaos after November with Trump and the White House, then chaos for the country where the Democratic policies continuing. I think that's the best argument. There's going to be chaos because the Democrats are condriving their power to lock him up for the rest of his
life and to bankrupt him. Before November. They're rushing Jack Smith and others are rushing to get him tried in front of a DC jury, to get him convicted so that maybe twenty percent less will vote for him, to make sure that Kamala Harris or Gavin Newsom or Michelle Obama or not Joe Biden becomes the next president. They want the checkbook, and they want to write the
checks for four more years and appoint the federal judges. And Eddiot's up to us as Americans to say none on my watch, and more and more of us have figured out what's going on. That's why his approval ratings for Biden or low and Trump is high. David Axelrod said it yesterday on CNN. Let Trump run in all fifty states, beat him at the ballot box with ideas. What a novel concept, but not for a Democrat. They want the checkbook. They want the power, They want the enrichment. They want
an open southern border. They want the collapse of our major cities demanding more federal involvement. They want to embarrass cops. They want to hurt military personnel in the rock. They don't want to appropriately respond, the world is on fire. Everywhere the world was on fire. It goes to the policies of Joe Biden. And when the Democrats say that dog won't hunt anymore, they're going to throw him overboard and get Michelle Obama, Gavin Newsom, r Kamala
Harris to run for the presidency. Then we got real chaos and the countries down the tubes. Let's continue. State Representative Jeanie Schmidt on the gay rights legislation in Ohio is next go cunning in with you every Sunday night, Philly Cunningham, the great American of course, once again, Happy New Year. And at this point on Times Square, etc. Nashville and in Las Vegas, all hell is not broken loose. So we'll see what happens later.
But a few days ago, Governor Mike DeWine of the Great State of Ohio vetoed a bill put out by the state legislature of the House in the Senate that would say to miners and to parents, you cannot transition your minor child even if a hospital and doctor says it must be done for mental health reasons. Also, there was a large provision in that bill that talked about whether boys can play girl sports, and the veto would mean that boys could identify
as girls and play girl sports in the state of Ohio. These LGBTQ plus laws that have impacted children in Ohio. It's not an odd thing in America anymore. Most of the Blue states already have it, not too many red states, but Ohio is one. Plus. There's been some reporting out of the AP and elsewhere that on January tenth or the eleventh, the state Legislature and the State Senate could override the veto. There's been some reporting that it's
going to happen, but we're not sure. But first of all, a state representative of Jean Schmidt of the Great State of Ohio, spent many years in the Congress, came back home to Ohio, and now she's been the state representative for quite a period of time. She's one of the leaders of the House and one of the persons that supports the idea that children should not transition until they're eighteen years old. After that, it's your nickel, it's
your life, live it. But a fourteen year old boy that identifies as a girl, unless things change, we'll have all the facilities available of children's hospitals and more so Genie Schmidt, first of all, Happy new Year, Welcome to the bill Cunningham showing, first of all, can you tell the American people tonight essentially, what did your bill in the House and Senate do that Senate that Governor or de Wine vetoed a couple of days ago. It
was very simple bill. It's said that you cannot do any life altering a gender affirmation drugs or surgeries until you're eight. Team it al shows that that transgender women cannot participate in women's sports period wi only biological women can participate in women's sports, upholding the tenants of Title nine, which was passed way back in the seventies. And Genie, when I read the liberals that are unhappy with this, let me go over some of their arguments, and I think
you can knock them down. Number one, it's the issue of parental rights that when mom and dad or mom or dad whoever's custody says that I want my child to get quote a medical procedure, and if there's a doctor that says it must be done, if there's a hospital like Children or Nationwide or or Cleveland Clinic that says it must be done, and then you have the child says yes, I want it done. Why should government interfere with the
rights of a parent for medical condition? That's argument number one your reaction. Children need to go through puberty first so that their mind and their body can develop appropriately before they make a life altering decision. That's the tenet of this bill. It's not to stop you from changing if you want to change, but it's allowing you to go through your maturity that is so important before you make that lfe altering decision, because you can't you can't go through puberty again.
You can't say Okay, I'll wait till I'm twenty five, and then I go through it again. And so aren't there many laws that Ohio, Kentucky, California, New York, Florida say that parents can't do certain things with a child, even if you want to do them. For example, we require government requires child safety seats. Maybe some parent might say, you know what, I don't want to put my kid in a child's safety seat. Government says to that parent, you must do that. Government says there's
certain vaccinations as a child that you have to get. And if a parent would say, you know what, my kid's not getting that smallpox, my kid's not getting that measles. Thing that's considered wrong. If a parent says, you know what, my kid ought to be able to smoke marijuana when they're fifteen years old, most states say, well, we're going to step between the parent and the child and say, you know what, you can't
let your kids smoke marijuana legally. And there's many other things in juvenile court law that says, well, parents may want to do certain things with a child, but the government has an interest to look after the child, even when the parent may act to respond. And so secondly, when I when I read the liberals, they're unhappy with the idea that a child who is sixteen or seventeen years old should be able to play other sports that they identify.
So if if you have, if I have a grandson or granddaughter that wakes up and one says I want to switch genders, they should be able to play some other sport. But there's injuries to to that other person that may transpire. And so as far as this sports element, what was your decision making power about saying that boys who quote identify as girls can no longer play have to play the sports assigned at birth. Bill, it is fundamental
men and women are built differently. There is a book by Stacy Sins called war R period O Period a period R Period. It was written over ten years ago. It doesn't talk about transgender issues, but what it says women is this, you want to be a great athlete, then you need to look at yourself as a woman and not as a man. Right now, we're training as if we were men. And she goes through all of the biological differences and how we fundamentally have to train as women, eat the foods
that are better for us as women than as men. Let me give you a couple of examples. The body to mass ratio between a man and a woman is different and it cannot be changed. When you look at the oxygen to blood ratio and the muscle mass, it is totally different for you, Bill than it is for me. And you can't find a drug out there that's going to correct that. You can't find enough hormones to make a man be exactly what a biological woman is. Furthermore, the testosterone level in a
man is at least ten times greater than in a woman. And so forth a biological man to go in to become a woman. They can't lower it enough to be at a woman's rate. This is fundamentally unfair to women that want to compete. Bill, you don't go to a start line wanting to lose a race. You go to a start line wanting to win that race. Now it may not happen, but you want the idea that you can
at least try and have a fair chance at it. When you've got a Leah Thomas going against O'Reilly gains, what happens, Riley loses, and even when she ties, they give it to Leah Thomas because it's only the right thing to do. Lea Thomas looks so much bigger than those swimmers that she competes against. It is wrong, it is unfair. It puts Title nine
upside down, and it is so unfair to the women across America. And Jennie Schmid state representative, all that is going to try to override the governor's veto. In about a week or ten days, we went through a long, decade long process of Title nine rights that most and it was it was good, Uh, it was wonderful. It's Title nine was a good thing. And it's been about fifty years. And now the same crowd that was
promoting yelling about screaming equal funding Title nine. You got ninety football scholarship players at Stanford University, then you need ninety women in sports. So they got volleyball, they got, they got, they got all kinds of sports, the tennis that women have equal, equal rights and equal ability to play. And so the same crowd that insists on an equal rights for women now want to get rid of equal rights for women and allow those who are not women
to play women's sports and take away all that. When the Governor Mike DeWine, who I'll freely say is a friend of mine and I know that you'll hold him an affection, uh personally, if not politically, that he said that the very very few people in Ohio, and in his message on Friday about why he vetoed the transgender rights law in Ohio was because number one, he said that he looked in the eyes of a parent who had a transgender
child, a sixteen year old girl transitioning to a boy. I'm not sure how that happens, but nonetheless, and he was told by the parents that if you don't allow this to happen. My sixteen year old girl is going to die, going to commit suicide. And so the argument is you agree with us, or you advocate the murder of children. Isn't that a ridiculous argument. It's a sad argument because if there's a mental health issue, then that needs to be resolved, and any surgery is not going to resolve that
mental health issue. They need to have appropriate care for whatever issues that are going through their mind that make them want to commit suicide. And that's independent of deciding whether you're a man or a woman. Yes, And as far as what's going to happen in about ten days, I've spoken to you, spoken in one or two others. You're a leader in the House of Representatives. What's going to be the attempt honor about January the tenth, about ten
days from now, to override the veto? Can you be successful? What's going to happen? Give me your prediction. I do believe that we will be successful. It all depends upon who shows up and for those that are not coming back next year, that they have the courage to say no to the governor, because you know, there's always those that want an appointment after life in the House or the Senate, and they may fear retribution. I wish that wouldn't be the case, because we have to do what is right
for Ohio. The citizens of Ohio and the nation overwhelmingly agree with House Bill sixty eight, overwhelmingly agree up to seventy percent, and for women in sports it's even higher. And that's for both Republicans and Democrats. People look at this and go, what are you thinking. Let's wait until you're eighteen. You want to do whatever you want to your body at eighteen, that's fine,
But let's get these kids through puberty. Because puberty is an interesting developmental phase for a child, and they have all kinds of ideas at the beginning of puberty that may not be the same when they become an adult. And after all, how many little girls have been tom boys and they identify as boys for a while, and then through puberty they work it out and become
women. The same thing with boys who may dress up and put a nail polish on their fingertips, but by the time they come through puberty, they're boys and men. Do you think do you think there's something more at stake here? Because a lot of people say to me on this issue, how in the hell do we get to this place? And almost every circumstance in life, follow the money. If you follow the money, that's why it's
happening. One tenth of one percent, half of one percent, maybe one percent identify as transsexual, transgender, and somebody it's I don't want to say it's not a problem, but it's one tenth of one percent or half of one percent. With so much other stuff going on, and so this has been seized by the media as a truck to drive right through the middle of Republican conservatism that you don't care about children. In fact, the cry of
the left is you want you want children to die? Do you have some idea, Genie Schmidts And where this all came from that a few years ago didn't even exist, I don't know. Maybe it's social media. Maybe there's a group out there that thinks we need to accept everything without realizing the consequences of what we're accepting. But I will tell you this, for the folks that are so worried about a child committee suicide because they didn't get a chance
to change their identity, their gender identity before they were eighteen. I would like to ask those same people, what about ending the life of a child inside the womb? Oh? Mother, you can't say that, Oh my god, I mean to say that. I can't say. You know I'm pro life, Yeah, you know, I'm pro life. Well, I am life in every way, shape and form. I want these kids to reach eighteen. You know, to a liberal, abortions like a sacrament. And when you bring up lives in the womb, the media and the left
goes crazy. And assuming, do we have statistics after ten years? What happens if someone transitions, say children's hospital, ten years from now? Is everything hunky dory, Everything's great, no more mental problems, Everything's great? Is that true? No? Nobody has, at least in the Greater Cincinnati or the great Ohio area, has done any long term studies on transgendering these
children. None. There are no studies. So we don't know how many have wanted to cross back and not been able to fully realize their biological birth. We don't know how many have been suicidal. Beyond it, we don't have any idea what the mental outcome is after they go through this. We do know that for some of those that have gone through it and realized that they were wrong in making that decision, that they understand they can't go back
to the way they were. And in fact, many lawsuits have not been filed. I know Vanderbilt University Children's Hospital is being sued many others that those who have gone through it as children are suing doctors and hospitals to get back their gender. And so trans individuals don't suddenly they live in the promised Land. They still have a lot of problems. Maybe there was mental difficulties of jennerdysphoria without the issue of transitioning, but now you add transitioning on top of
that, you got more mental difficulties. And so I just hope that we bring some sanity to these proceedings. And can you give me your final prediction. With the Ohio House and Senate overrule the Governor's veto, I would be betting on overwriting the veto. I would not bet against it. There's enough momentum going on right now. The Speaker is actively whipping votes. In fact, it wasn't even twenty four hours after the Governor's press conference that I got
whipped on a vote. So we're looking at the right timeline to make sure everybody is back and has the opportunity to voice their opinion on this. But Bill, I don't know why people wanted to I'm not going to question why they want to change. I just want to make sure that when they make that life altering decision, they are mature enough to do it. That's the
important point right there. I also, Bill, more importantly, want biological women have the opportunity to compete against biological women in any and every sport. As an aging athlete, it is fundamentally unfair if I have to show up at a start line and compete against a transgendering woman fidementally. Well, I hear what you're saying. Thank you, and Genie Schmidt, me and you and yours have a happy new year. It's going to be Hopefully twenty twenty
four is going to be wild. Twenty twenty three was I think, in some ways a good year for Republicans. Become twenty twenty four, I fear all hell is going to break loose. But Genie Schmidt, a happy new year, and once again, thank you for coming on the Bill Cunningham Show this Sunday night. Thank you very much. Take it less file. Let's
continue with more if line becomes available. Eight sixty six six four seven seven three three seven Bill cunning Into Great American with you every Sunday night, Billy cunning Into Great American once again. Happy New Year. Too late for merry Christmas and happy holidays. And twenty twenty three was one hell of a year. I think I can withstand twenty twenty four having gone through twenty twenty three. However, twenty twenty four is going to be chaotic to the max.
But just briefly, on this gender rights issue, I want every child that has mental difficulties to get all the help, all the help they need, please, especially a child that's having some gender dysphoria or other difficulties. Please please, I want you to get the help. One way of not doing it, in my opinion, mono therapy and gender reassignment surgery. To me,
that makes no sense whatsoever. But State Representative Jeanie Schmidt of Ohio is going to quarterback the effort in Ohio to overturn Governor Mike Dwines veto which my sources tell me that they have a good chance of doing it. So let's continue with more. Coming up next is Wayne Landen route from Las Vegas. Also later Senator Ryan Paul once again, Happy holidays and Happy New Year.
Bill Cunningham, the Great American With you and all other great Americans every Sunday night, Willie the Ball rough you by Choice Hotels, Econo Lodge and Wild Willyan Hotels are serving up double points for every qualifying stay book at Choice Hotels dot com. Now here's the man who's been recognized as radio's best, the recipient of not one, but two prestigious Marconi Awards for his broadcast excellence,
the one and only Bill Cunningham by Billy Cunningham, the Great American. Of course, my top guest I think of all time instead of just this year, is Wayne Allen Root. Root for America. It's a wonderful website. Have it up right now, Wayne Allen Root. Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and happy New Year. But I think we have to start about the
recent decision by the Colorado Supreme Court. They've taken this thing to an industrial strength threat to democracy level, in which four activist judges put on black robes in a four to three vote in Colorado and said basically that Trump can we can't vote for the guy having done everything they can to soil him politically. Then now I want to ban them from the ballot. And I want to get to your reaction to that before we talk about Michelle Obama's Canadacy. Woo.
What's your view as a Westerner, as a nov Auden about what the Colorado Supreme Court's doing to the nation. Well, the best way for me to explain it, Bill is I just put up my three tweets in this morning, and I'll read the three of them to you all short. The first one says Trump is disqualified in Colorado, add five more points to Trump's popularity, just like each indictment. Democrats are so dumb, desperate and delusional. Democrats are wiley E coyote. Trump is the roadrunner. Beep beep.
That was the first one. They added five points to popularity. The second one is I wonder how many of Colorado Supreme Court judges who just disqualify Trump run Epstein's island of pedophilia, rape and child abuse? Want to bet all tied together? And my third, my third one is my third one is definition of insurrection. One using pandemic to rig and steal election with fake mail in ballots and no voter ID. Two take bribes from China and the Mexican
drug cartels. Three commit treason by opening the borders to intentionally destroy the USA, and four finally use election interference to disqualify the only guy who could stop you from finishing the job of destroying America and send you to Guantanamo for treason after he wins the election. That's why they did what they did. This isn't Colorado, This isn't Colorado's Supreme Court judges. This is all Democrats in power. They have stolen an election. They have then taken money from China
and the Mexican drug cartel and offshore accounts. They used it to destroy American in favor of China and to let all the drugs in and all the people in to destroy this country and rig all future elections because you're filling the country
with people who will never vote Republican for decades to come. They open those borders, they invited everyone in total tree and now you disqualify the only guy who can beat you, who's winning in every race in every battleground state nationally, destroying your candidate and the only guy who, if he wins, would have the cajones to now convict you of treason and send you to Guantanamo for the rest of your life for committing treason against this country. That's why Democrats
all have Trump's arrangement syndrome. They know what they did, and they're scared to death. They're all going to be convicted of treason. They've stolen the nation by stealing the election and then opening the borders to allow a full scale invasion that makes Russia's invasion of Ukraine look like child's play. Our nation's been
invaded and they allowed it because they're all on the take bill. Whether it's China or the Mexican drug cartel, or George Soros or the World's Economic Forum, these people have all taken money and offshore accounts to destroy this country.
I'm looking at this way. Jack Smith, who is Joe Biden's prosecutor against Donald Trump, spent months and months and months investigating insurrection and after months and months of months of grand jury testimony of all the telephone all the cell phone records, all the emails back and forth, Jack Smith himself determined, after a lengthy investigation, that Donald Trump did not commit an act of insurrection.
That comes from Joe Biden's own prosecutor. So here sits in the Rocky Mountain high of Colorado, and without trial, without witnesses, without a full vetting of the charge, they simply charged him, convicted him, and then sentenced him on an insurrection when Joe Biden's own prosecutor, Jack Smith, said it didn't happen. And so how when I watch MSNBC and some of the other
talk show CNN, they're doing the macarina once again. The road Runner has been captured code runner as Donald Trump and looking at this, a ninety one count indictments from Democratic prosecutors, hundreds of millions of dollars in possible fines, and on top of that, get them off the ballot, Wayne Helue, what are they frightened of? Is this a banana republic? Yeah? They they all committed treason. To rig and steal an election of a country is
treason. They did that because trillions of dollars were on the line. They want to keep taking their bribes from China and the Mexican drug cartel. You know, Bill, Look, I've been in business my whole life, and anyone who brings me business, I give him ten percent tomorrow bill. If you bring me a deal and I make one hundred thousand dollars, I will give you ten thousand dollars. I give everyone a ten percent Findrs fee.
That's what makes everybody happy, and they're glad to bring you more business. I'm telling you that the borders are open because it serves two purposes to Democrats. One, you let the whole world in. You change the demographics of America and it becomes a socialist slash communist nation for the rest of all time. No Republican will ever be elected again once all these people start voting.
And Two, you take bribes from China and the Mexican drug cartel. For every person that's let in, and every drug that's let in, and all the pedophilia that's let in, and all the human trafficking that's let in, you get paid a finder's fee by the people who are benefiting. Now, the Mexican drug cartels are making billions of dollars a day, they can afford to give away billions in off short accounts. And I'm telling you the Democrat
Party has all been paid off by China and the Mexican drug cartel. Now, if Trump gets re elected, He's gonna go after these people now he wants revenge. It's a double ed shwort, right. You indicted him to keep him from being elected, but if he overcomes the indictment, becomes more popular than ever it gets elected. Now you face life in prison on Guantanamo break. That's why they've got to stop him at all costs. And every
day he gets more and more popular. And they just made him much more popular again because the average American guy in gal can see that he's being persecuted for for really nothing. Anybody can see. There's nothing that Trump ever did that should result in persecution, and that's why people are behind him, and that's why he gets more popular every day, and the Trump train is on its way to victory. Screw Colorado. We never needed Colorado anyway. Colorado's
not a winnable state, so it just doesn't matter. Well in the next I guess by January third or fourth, we're going to know whether or not the Supreme Court will take it. I think the US Supreme Court has got to take it, because if Colorado can do it, why can't Michigan or Pennsylvania or Minnesota or Wisconsin do exactly the same thing. And then and the second lay, why can't a red prosecutor in a red state file a civil lawsuit to get Joe Biden struck from the ballot because of his behavior on the
southern borders, refusal to follow his oath of office. He's committing many say treason by what his act. So why can't Joe Biden be ordered off the ballot by Republican judges? Is that what's coming next? No, because Republican judges are all you know. I'll say the word pussycats. I'll say it nicely, pussycats. They just won't do what needs to be done. Here's the deal, Bill, I was the first guy in America when Trump was
indicted the first time by Manhattan DA. It was named Alvin brad When Braggan died a Trump. That was last March, so it's sort of like nine months ago when that happened. I said, all we have to do is Republican das and Republican prosecutors and Republican attorney generals and totally red states where they know they're going to get re elected, need to indict Biden, Mayorkist, Kamala Obama, all the people that have committed real crimes by opening the border
and destroying the United States. Those are real crimes, and a Republicans need to indict them and let them prove they're not guilty, just like they're doing a Trump. If we do that, that'll stop them from doing this to Trump when they know they're gonna have the same thing done to them. And what happened in those nine months Now one Republican DA or Attorney general did anything.
They're never gonna do anything. Our party is a power as a party of pussycats and cowards and intimidated people and afraid of what the press will say about them. And on the other side, you have a full scale communist, vicious communist thug takeover of the United States of America. And if someone doesn't get tough on our side and fight back and hit back hard, our
country is gone. And you think about the Bidens, everyone associated with him, his brother, his sister, the Hunter Biden said of the grandchildren receiving millions of dollars. Hunter Biden and Joe Biden and Jim Biden knows that if Trump wins, a prosecutor is going to be selected by Donald Trump to go after them. So they understand. That's what's at stake here is their own
incarceration. Now, I am infinite that Joe Biden will do at the end what Donald Trump did not do, which is pardon his family, pardon himself. Going out the door, Hunter, Biden will be protected by the DOJ and the FBI until he gets pardoned. Is there any doubt in your mind that Joe Biden, if he can still sign his name, at some point near the end, is going to pardon and all the Bidens from top to bottom. And something Donald Trump said I don't have to do. I did
nothing wrong. So as he's leaving out the door, he didn't pardon anybody because he didn't have to. But the Bidens understand what's coming. And so going out the door in December, like a year from now, if and when Joe Biden stands and is re elected, which I think is almost impossible, or if he's not elected, he's not going to be around in August for the convention. But nonetheless, don't you isn't there a belief that the FBI will protect the Biden's and then at the end, Joe Biden will pardon
everybody. Yeah, the most important thing you said though before I answer that question, is you said a year from now, I don't know how our republic survives for the next year. I really don't you know what we're talking about, this the Colorado disqualifying Trump, when what we should be talking about, Bill is the mass invasion on the US border. And then that gets worse every day, fourteen five hundred people and one day the other day the
all time record. I predicted all this. I said, the minute you will Supreme Court allowed Joe Biden to end Title forty two, the flood would begin like nothing anyone's ever seen. I knew, and I don't think the average person knows. There's one point five billion people in the world who are under the age of sixteen, and every one of them would like to come to America. And if you wave them all in, they're all gonna come. This isn't a matter of if, it's only a matter of when the
entire world is thinking about coming to America. They all have nothing. They have bare feet, they can't afford shoes, they can't afford food, and they hear that if you come to America, you pick anywhere you want to go, you get a free flight, a free cell phone, and you get a five thousand dollars visa card, and you get legal aid for free, and you immediately get food stamps and welfare, and your kids can go
to American schools for free, and you get free healthcare. The entire world is coming, Bill, So I don't even know how we survive the next year, because there may be ten million new ones in the next year that double with Biden let in in the first three years. It's so over the top, extreme at the border right now. So you know, when you say one year, how are we gonna survive? I don't know. And when you ask the question, you know, will Biden, you know,
pardon his kid and himself? Yes, because the whole key is when you have the media on your side, you can get away with anything. They'll just ignore it, like they ignored Hunter Biden's laptop. But if Trump had done it and the media is against you, my god, the entire nation would be rioting, and the whole nation would be protesting, and the whole inner cities would be burning. Trump pardoned himself, he pardoned his children, he pardoned his friends. Oh my god, he's Nixon. He's the most
corrupt man that ever lived. You know what, it goes back to remember when Nixon was when Watergate happened and Nixon got kicked out of office, he was facing impeachment. The number one charge was Watergate. The number two charge everyone forgets using the IRS to destroy your political opponents, and that was numbers of judge. When Obama was president, he used the IRS to go after Republican donors and Republican critics, including yours truly, Wayne Allen Route. And
we know that for a fact. Tom Fitton of Judicial Watch took my case and demanded, upon threat of subpoena, all my files from the IRS, and they proved it was a Democrat political witch hunt against Wayne Ruth. And we know was ordered by Obama because in every interview, I say, Obama's my college classmate at Columbia University, and he's the ghost of Colombia, and he's the Mensurian Canadate. He was never there, and so you know that
he ordered them to destroy my life. But nobody ever went after Obama. They claimed it was in your area since thein NAT it was an isolated case. It had nothing to do with Obama. When you're a Republican, they make you resign over the exact same thing, or you're going to jail Obama nothing because the media was on his side. Same thing. Now Biden can get away with anything because the media is on his side. Lastly, there's going to come some event the next few months in which Joe Biden, obviously
the big guy, took millions of dollars in bribes. The Biden family has monetized every office he's been and it's gotten worse. And at some point, either his mental acuity will be so bad he can't put together two sentences that the nightmare scenario may happen in August, in which case Donald Trump sadly cannot beat Michelle Obama. Play out for me the nightmare scenario. Well, I
don't know that he can't be Michelle Obama. I mean, the whole thing issue is at this point, I honestly believe the entire country has woken up and a lot of people have swallowed the right pill this time, and everybody sees what's going on, and a lot of people are on Trump's side. Black people are on Trump's side, not all, but I'm saying many more than were in sixteen or twenty. And right now I think we got a you know, like a twenty point bump among Black Americans. We got a
huge bump among Latinos. People are waking up in the United State, young people. Every poll shows Trump is destroying Biden among young people who would have ever believed that Muslims. Muslims don't necessarily like Trump, but they've all gotten together here in Nevada. He just got a press release yesterday morning. The Muslim like eight Muslim organizations in Nevada have now pledged to do anything in their power to destroy Joe Biden. Could you believe this? Because they're so bad
at the way he's treated Israel versus Gaza. So even though Trump's the most pro president history, Muslims are gonna sit on their hands and make sure Biden's not re elected. So my point to you is, I think everyone's woken up and a lot of people are gonna be voting for Trump, whether the election is rigged or not, whether they can manage a new pandemic and make everyone mail and vote, and with mail in ballots no voter ID, they
get more you know, the elections. I have no way to control that, But I'm just telling you, I don't know that anyone at this point can beat the Trump juggernaut, including Michelle Obama. I have no doubt she will be the candidate or someone else besides Biden will be the candidate. She's in my opinion, the leading choice. But they got to get rid of Biden. They're going to replace him. Whether Michelle Watson or not, we'll find out. Wayne Allen, Root, Maine, You and yours have a
wonderful Christmas, Happy holidays, and happy New Year. You're my top guest of twenty twenty three. And man, you and yours continue to prosper and let's keep the fight. This country is worth fighting for. Way on on the route. Thank you very much. Rootfroamerica dot com, all my commentaries, all my TV shows, all my radio shows. God Bless America, rootfro America dot com. It's what I do, build root for this great country. God bless you. Let's continue with more. Thank you, Wayne,
Let's continue with more. Bill Cunningham, the Great American, live with you every Sunday night, my Billy cunning In the Great American, of course, in evening without Wayne Allen Roots and the evening without sunshine. A lot of activities going on and not quite midnight in Las Vegas, but on the East coast, of course, it's right there. And I love having that guy on because he has passion, he has knowledge, he has connections,
he has vociferous speaking skills. And any show I have with Wayne Allen Root is going to be a good one. And Wayne, thank you very much, mean you and yours have a glorious new year twenty twenty four. Well, a couple of things I'd like to see in the new year. Number one, a clean southern border without illegals crossing and mass deciding who comes here or not us. Number two. Donald Trump re elected to the presidency in twenty twenty four, with Nikki Hayley as his vice president, believe it or
not. And when that happens, the media is going to go absolutely bat crap crazy. It's going to be unbelievable what the media is doing to him right now, what the Democrats are doing to him right now. And he will be indicted more times, he will be sued more often, and he
will stop though what's happening on the southern border. He will get the nation's finances in order and get us out of entanglements and all these foreign wars that is draining our treasury and has the possibility of the literal destruction of the United States of America. And we don't need this. We don't need it. When Israel is concerned, that is God's representative on earth who must do everything in our power possible to make sure that Israel is not blown away by Hamas
or Hezbla or Iran. But what's happening in Ukraine. I hope Biden knows what he's doing. I say that knowing he does not. Let's continue with more. Senator Ran Paul of be next, my favorite senator from Kentucky,
about what's occurring with AM radio and what's happening in the Senate. More Bill Cunningham, The Great American with you and all Great Americans is New Year's Neve Night on the Bill Cunningham Show. Of course, Senator Ram Paul of my home state of Kentucky is my favorite senator by far in Kentucky did something a week or two ago. I want to take umbrage with him. That's why I have him on tonight. And that is the kind of voted objection to
allowing AM radio to be required on all new cars made in America. That's personal to me and personal to many in our business. Once again, Senator Ram Paul, Welcome to the Bill Cunningham Show, and Senator how are you very good? Bill? Thanks for having man good. You know I have to take you to task a bit. We've been rounding around for many years,
ninety five percent of the time on the same page. But as I understand that, I read your interview at has with my friend Terry Miners about you being the one Senator that would not waive the rule by unanimous consent that would have required car manufacturers to keep AM radio inside their cars, which is something that's heart and soul of what we do. And I would say this that right now your voice is heard all over Kentucky, Ohio, and Indiana
on a big AM station. No FM station can do that. And about four years ago I was contacted by HHS to have a pod put in and our transmitter in Mason and yours truly was selected as the designated survivor on a big AM station with backup to give messages to people that FM radio cannot do. So why did you vote against? I think every Republican not to waive the rule to require AM radio and car manufacturers. I think there's more than one way to skin a cat. I'm very sympathetic to AM radio. As
you know. I've been on AM radio for years. My dad was on for decades before I was on. I know you've been involved with AM radio, and there's so many great voices on AM radio. But I want to do something, and if we're going to do something, it needs to be consistent with our philosophy. The main cars that they're taking AM radio out of are electric cars. Now, people wouldn't be buying these electric cars if we
weren't subsidizing them. So rather than mandate to car manufacturers that they have AM radio, why don't we quit subsidizing electric cars that are banning and taking out AM radio. So I think it would both get the same result. But I think it would be more consistent with the Republican position not to add mandates to car manufacturers and not to sort of pick the winners and losers, but to let the marketplace decide that, but don't skew the marketplace by subsidizing cars
that don't have AM radio. When I speak to car dealers, there's dozens, maybe hundreds of government mandates already. Government mandates all kinds of stuff in a car, and one thing that is a requirement for safety is communications during a crisis, and that would occur when AM radio can do what FM radio can't do. Why not do both? I think to bribe somebody to buy an EV where the batteries are made in communists red China and the way the
materials are mined in Africa is terrible. Why not do both? When I take away these seven a half thousand dollars bribes which isn't working, and make sure that farmers and truck drivers and other Americans have the availability of getting information entertainment. Senator, why not do both? It isn't either or why not do both? I think getting rid of subsidies is consistent with the limited government
philosophy. Adding mandates typically is not something Republicans have offered. Most of the mandates that are on cars already or are mandates, and most Conservatives have opposed. We really haven't been for mandating what goes into a car, what goes into manufacturing. But I think the same result can happen by doing something that is consistent with our philosophy, and that is getting rid of the subsidy. The other thing to remember is is that as times change, even tesla.
So, for example, if you mandate to somebody who buys a Tesla that it have an AM radio in it, I think you're more likely to get them listening to you by streaming you off a website, because the car is well connected to a computer as a real large computer screen, and the people buying these cars probably aren't going to listen to AM radio frankly on a dial, but are more likely to actually listen to it streaming. So I think
part of the adaptation and survival of AM radio is getting people. You know, I would say, half the time I'm in my car, I'm listening to my phone. You know, people plug their phone in already, but I do know people who plug their phone in and stream AM radio or stream podcasts. So it is coming and the world is changing. You know. It's not for lack of sympathy of AM radio. It's basically the idea that I just don't think it's consistent with our philosophy to tell people what they have
to have. The bill also tells them that if it is an additional cost to block the electromatic magnetic impulse from the battery, to have an AM signal. If there's any additional costs, you're not allowed to charge the consumer. We've never really been forbidding people from passing our cost along if it costs more to protect the AM signal to let that be passed along. And so I just don't think it's consistent with the bill. I don't think it's consistent with
our philosophy. What's the status now that you've blocked by unanimous consent? Is this thing going to pass anyway down the road? It may? And the thing is is people need to realize that nobody can block anything. All I'm doing is blocking the expedited vote where there's no committee hearing and there's no real debate on the floor, and it just goes by unanimously. Very few things of any kind of substance go by unanimously, and so you know, I'd
like to hear both. I really do think that even if you were to mandate this, the future of AM radio needs to be convincing people to stream it on their phone and plug their phone into their car, because more and more that's going to ultimately be how people still get their AM radio. I don't know what the percentage is now, but I know most radio I think I can stream your radio station on the internet camp absolutely, but most people and AM radio do not stream. There's a few that do, but I
don't know the percentages. Seventy eighty percent don't stream. I guess I could stream, but I like putting in seven hundred. And this is the only way. If we have a power grid problem, if we have an EMP something that character and the power grid goes down, the one way to communicate is through a large AM signal with backup generation of power, and we can
communicate. And that is a life and death proposition. There are farmers right now that are in fields listening somewhere in Kentucky, Indiana and Ohio to AM radio. There's truck drivers at night who spend their time listening to that this kind of a signal. And to say, well you can stream, well, most people don't stream, and most people are not going to stream for a very long time, and they kind of like listening to AM radio.
And let's face it, when you talk at the beginning with Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, et cetera, that AM radio is the means of communication over the top of the mainstream media. With all their dis and misinformation, and so it kind of hurt in my heart when Senator ran Paul got up against seven hundred WLW and Bill Cunningham that Senator ran Paul voted against me. Yeah, basically, I don't think it's consistent for us who believe in limited government
to put mandates on manufacturers. But doesn't mean I'm not sympathetic to the cause. And so I introduced and it was rejected. The people who want the AM bill rejected my idea. And my idea was to basically get rid of the subsidence for electric cars. And the thing is is AM radio is not going away tomorrow. If you're a farmer, most farmers have a gas truck, you know, and gas trucks are still going to have AM radio. There's nobody really talking about getting rid of AM radio and the gas trucks.
So I think that there's going to be a long time. But what we should do is really work hard not to be subsidizing something that punishes an industry. So I'm against the subsidies, with or without the AM problem, but particularly because the AMB I think we should be getting rid of the subsidies.
Plus we don't have money, and it's really not fair for people who are buying one hundred thousand dollars, you know, expensive electric car to be subsidized by the guy who can only hold a ford to twenty five thousand dollars car. So it's never been really fair to subsidize these electric vehicles. And it's particularly not fair since it's subsidizing vehicles that won't have AM radio in them. But I think even in that small marketplace it's about one or two percent of
the cars or electric cars. I think really, rather than the mandate, part of the emphasis of AM radio should be advertising to those people the ability to stream. Because you're right, the farmer's not going to be out there streaming on your website. But the one or two percent that have electric cars, you have a chance of getting them if instead of beating them over the head and forcing them to have AM radio, you try to advertise to them
that they can get AM radio through streaming. It's a small market now, but it may well be a market that grows over time. Senator, I too good personal because I've been doing this for forty years now. I just I'm beginning of my forty first year in radio. At one place, which is AM radio, and AM radio in the beginning was the only radio.
FM came along. Now FM is having more difficulties than AM, and streaming is going to happen at some point, whether it's five, ten or fifteen years, We're going to have maybe have evs that makes sense in fifteen to
twenty years, hopefully not to benefit communists right in China. But when one of my favorite Senator Ran Paul comes at me and says I want to I want to eliminate AM radio from car manufacturers, can you understand how those of us in this business, the talk radio titans around America, are kind of pissed off at that. Well, you know, I think it's mischaracterizing my
position to say that I want to eliminate AM radio from cars. I actually would like to keep AM radio in cars, and the way I would do it is in a way consistent with our philosophy, and that would be get rid of the subsidies that are given to electric cars. But I don't think mandates is part of our philosophy. I mean, we've spent years saying we're not going to be the people who pick winners and losers. We're not going
to get involved with telling people what to manufacture. We're not going to give subsidies to things we like and not give subsidies to things we don't like.
So actually, I think I'm taking the consistent position that I've always taken is that I'm frankly not for mandates on business, even for mandates that I would like, you know, I mean, so, I don't think there's anything, if anything, I think people would be and should be proud of the fact that I'm not changing my principles just because it happens to be an industry I like. There's no question I'm a big fan of AM radio, always
have been. But at the same time, I can't be for mandating things to manufacture since I've spent a career saying I'm not for government telling business what to do. Let's move on to two other issues. I'll come back to AM radio in about two minutes. Right now, we're told that American interest in you consense. But please tell me it's true that it appears to be some softening with Biden about the southern border. To have a functioning country,
we got to have a border. Are you going to stand firm on the issue of no foreign AID until we take care of America's southern border. Without question. You know, my oath of office is to our country, not to other countries. We don't have money to be sending overseas. I did consent on the Israeli EID if it was paid for by taking away from the RS. This was Speaker Johnson's position in the beginning, and I hope it will remain in his position that the Israel AID is separate from Ukraine AID and
it's paid for by taking the money from the RS. And with regard to sending, you know, tens of billions more to Ukraine, I've drawn the line. I can't vote for any more money it's being sent to Ukraine because we've sent them more than the country's entire GDP. We've sent them over one hundred and ten billion dollars. They're using it to subsidize small business, they're paying their government pensions with this thing. And the bottom line is that we
just don't have the money. We're borrowing the money we sent, don't have the money. We're broke. Thirty four trillion in the next five years is going to be thirty trillion, thirty trillion, and it's a billion here and a billionaire is certainly we're talking about some money. It is ridiculous when you talk to McConnell and you speak to Schumer, and maybe if somebody can talk to Biden, if he's up yet, well what do you do with the issue of the offset to spend the money? But we have to get rid
of eighty seven thousand IRS agents. We got to do this, got to do that. Do you have a sense it's a deal to be made in the next week. You know, it's interesting that they swear that they won't trade the RS money, you know, for the Israel Aid or for the
Ukraine Aid. But apparently the handshake deal that was made between McCarthy and Biden over raising the debt ceiling, they've already had a handshake deal to use that RS money to increase welfare spending because the Democrats thought that the debt ceialing deal didn't give them enough welfare spending. So it's interesting that they say, oh, we'll never give up on this RS money. They're already willing to trade it for different welfare programs that they'refore and it is real money and it does
make a difference. So no, I think the one with Israel is reasonable if it's paid for. The other would be less objectionable if it's paid for. But nobody's talking about paying for it. They're talking about trying to trade border security, which I am for border security. I think we shouldn't let anybody in illegally. I think they all should be put right back on the other side of the river. Yeah, the only thing that was working down
there was remain in Mexico. But people have to realize that they think that there's going to be a negotiated deal that's going to work, none of it works unless it has remained in Mexico, and that takes cooperation with Mexico. No reason we got that was because Trump played hardball with him, and that was one of the beauties of having Trump as president. He was unafraid. He stared down the Mexican president, and the Mexican president agreed to keep him.
But we got a new Mexican president down there. I don't think Biden's going to stare anybody in the face because he's got to look through his eyelids that are half closed. So I don't think it's going to happen. But so I'm not really going to vote for anny fake border security, and I'm definitely not voting for any money for Ukraine that's not paid for, so it's very unlikely they'll get me on any of that foreign aid bill. Lastly,
have you ever voted on unanimous consented? Have you ever in your time in the Senate have you ever voted to waive that? Dozens of times almost every day there's something. I've already discussed four things today. So unanimous consent is sometimes like for a resolution. So if we have a resolution saying we congratulate Bill Cunningham for forty two years in radio and for his service to the Constitution, that's a resolution that's not really legislation. Those pass all the time by
unanimous consent. Significant legislation rarely does, and one person can't block it. What they do is just mean it goes to the normal channels, and the normal channels are that it takes a few votes, and it takes several days to pass something. And they do have quite a few coach sponsors on this, I think it's still wrong and inconsistent with our philosophy. I think there's a reasonable chance they probably will pass at some point. And lastly, Senator
I would say this, there's a governmental interest. I'm a capitalist. I've owned businesses, I continue to own some businesses. I love American business.
That is the great equalizer. However, there's a government interest in having AM radio functioning, especially the big ones, because if the power grid doesn't exist, if computers do not work, if cars do not run, we have the capability of getting messages out to the American people as to where to go, what to do the circumstances like a red dawn situation on and only AM radio does that. You're being hurt right now in northern Tennessee and Ohio,
no FM station can do that. And so when you did what you did, that was a heart that was a stabbing to my heart. I'm thinking, this is my guy, just my home state of Kentucky, and this guy's trying to destroy AM radio, And I know I had to talk to you because that can't be the case. You got to stand with the American people. You realize, you realize it's not because I had an alternative that is probably goes more to the crux of the problem, and getting rid of
the subsidies basically would eliminate the problem. Then you wouldn't have to have mand aids. If you didn't have the cars being subsized, nobody would be buying these electric cars, No, and they wouldn't be pressure on AM radio. So all I'm saying is by opposing one method of doing this doesn't mean I'm against AM radio. It just means I'm for a different method of getting the same result. But I think this method, I think many of your listeners
would probably agree, is more consistent with the limited government philosophy. And when it goes through all the stuff you senators go through, are you going to vote yes on AM radio. I'll vote yes to get rid of the subsidies to electric cars that get rid of AM radio. I think that's the best solution. Do you love AM radio? You know I do. I've been on AM radio and going back a decade and my father probably two or three
decades. It's a great long format. It's a way to have a discussion, a full discussion like we've just had that we probably couldn't have on television because the interviews aren't as long. So no great fan of AM radio. Tomorrow, I'll be on with a gentleman who is I believe eighty seven years old and he's been doing it for several decades, also in a small community of about six thousand people on an AM radio station that my father in law
used to work for. So nothing but sympathy, Nothing but sympathy for allowing the message to get out, but just different ways to skin a cat. Because we disagree on the solution doesn't mean we're not on the same side. Well, I hope AM radio is here long after both of us are gone. And I sense in your heart and soul you understand the value of AM
radio and the role it can play in governmental activity plus private enterprise. Once again, Senator Ran Paul, thank you for coming on the Bill Cunningham Show. Senator, thank you, Thank you, and God bless America. Let's continue with more Bill Cunningham, the Great American, live with you every Sunday night, My Bully cunning Him the Great American once again. A happy New
Year in the Eastern time zone. We've gotten there. I have one wish, one primary wish for twenty twenty four is to change the national policies that have brought America to its knees, whether it's Southern border crime in the streets, whether it's US military stress, all over the world, two trillion dollars an annual deficits thirty four trillion dollars in a debt. I just pray to
God. I pray to God Almighty. We can make it. And I'd rather have chaos with Trump in office in eleven months than chaos with the liberal Democrat there once again. Happy New Year, twenty twenty four, Go Cunningham, with you every Sunday.
