Woman, babe, and I'll make a good woman steel. I'm a cold woman less and I'll make a yogirl sweet. I want to be us. Put a baby in yo. I'm that I'm bad of the Bowl, Bad of the Bowl, Bad of the Bowl. Billy Cunningham, the great American. Of course, the voice of your Bengals is the Great Dave Lapham,

along with Dan Horde breaking it all down. Action starts in about six hours right here, gonna be unbelievable action, because, let's face it, this is a this is a monumental effort by the by the Rams to redo what they did in the Super Bowl a couple of years ago. Will Joe Burrow play? Will he not play? And Dave Lapham has all the answers. Dave Lapham, welcome again to the Bill Cunningham Show. Can you tell the American people this afternoon? Yea or nay? On the Great number nine?

Well, I know the Great number nine worked out late morning, early afternoon under the eyeballs of many interested coaches, in front office people, et cetera, with teammates to see if he would be able to go this afternoon. So it's a fifty fifty proposition. I guess based on how that workout has gone, and there's obviously a few within the organization that know. But it looks like it's going to be a game time a scenario unless somebody uncovers it

before that. But I would think that you would definitely know when the deactives come out. If Joe Burrows deactivated, that's an obvious answer. If he's up, that's an obvious answer. If he's one of the fifty three players, he's starting. If he can't go, he's going to be deactivated. It's gonna be that simple. And Dave Lapham, he's secretariat. He wants to run the race. Of course. I watched earlier today some of the so called experts on the ESPM and Fox Sports saying the smart money said he

would not. We had some incipiate reports saying the smart money says he will left up to Joe Burrow. He's gonna play, It'll be up to the trainers and up to those individuals that take him down. What impact on this did the cart ride with Mike Brown that was the most well played twenty five second cart ride in the history of golf. Mike Brown is on the field of honor picks up Joe Burrow, who's stretching. The other players look up and say, take a look at this deal. So Mike Brown carted him

around a little bit. Some said when he got out he hit a frown on his face. Others say when he got out of the cart, Joe Burrow was smiling. What does the Dave Lapham say about the smile or the frown on Joe Burrow's face after the cart ride with Mike Brown might have been both knowing Joe he might have had a frown then he turned it upside down. Who knows, or he had a smile and he turned that upside down

to a frown. Well, so we don't know. He goes, yeah, well, I think he knows that that that was going to be watched closely. So he's not going to give any any body language secrets away or

whatever the case. Maybe he'll let people draw their own conclusions. But I think I think all that was talked about was you know, Mike Brown saying, look, Joe, if if you feel that you are unable to go and take care of yourself in so doing, if you feel like you'd be vulnerable by playing because lack of movement, where the case may be, don't push it. You know what we were looking for the long term here. We've signed you to a long term deal for the highest paid quarterback in NFL

history. We're not thinking sure term, we're thinking long term now. If he if he's in a situation where he can do no further damage to the cash strain, and you know he has to it's a paint hollerance thing. He'll play and the medical people will probably let him play because Joe's a tough

dude, tough physically, tough mentally, all that kind of thing. If there's a possibility that he could do more extensive damage to the calf, which could lead to other issues, you know, the calf's right about the Achilles tendonment, and you don't want to think about any of those kind of crazy dynamics, that's for sure. So you do have to do your due diligence and be smart about about all of it. There's no doubt that Joe Burrow

wants to play. He's a competitor, loves his teammates, teammates love him. He wants to be part of it. But if it doesn't make sense, I think that's the whole thing. I think that was the whole session subject or basically the message it was livered by Mike Brown. If it doesn't make sense, don't force the issue, don't push it. And Dave Lapham on the Rams defensive line, you have a guided missile number ninety nine who has a target on the chest of Joe Burrow, and that defensive line rush.

Perhaps the greatest alignment of all time is Aaron Donald of of your Los Angeles Rams, wearing number ninety nine. Maybe a bit better than Big Daddy Lipscomb. I'm not sure, but maybe the greatest linement of all time wants to put a target into the Rams. This is a huge game because of where they are in the same division with the forty nine ers. We tend to think a thing from a Cincinnati perspective how important the game is, But

from a Rams perspective, it's equally important. The forty nine ers look impregnable. They look like that Joe Montana forty nine ers, for God's sakes, And so from the Rams perspective, they see a wounded Joe Burrow, they see a secretariat with a bad leg, and they're gonna put a target on him an attack. So from a Rams perspective, How big is the game for the Rams? Oh, it's massive, there's no question about it. I mean for the Bengals perspective. In the Super Bowl era, children fifty

one teams have started owing three and just six made the playoffs. That's in the Super Bowl era. Under the current playoff format since twenty twenty made a little have adjustment one and two starts. Teams that have started one and two they had the playoffs thirty percent of the time, almost almost one out of every three. So you don't want to bury yourself, ah and three.

So it's it's the numbers say that it's massive for the Bengals in common sense as it's massive for the Bengals. But yeah, like you said, Willie, I mean this is a this is a big, big deal for the for the Rams. The Rams last year sucked. They were five and twelve, they lost sixth straight and in the second half of the season they went two and nine to finish the year. Terrible. I mean they were they were sitting at at seven and three and went two and nine, worst year

by defending Super Bowl champion in National Football League history. So they don't like that. They want to rebound from that, and they got rid of a lot of players. Bobby Wagner's aren't there anymore, Leonard Floyd, Jalen Ramsey, and people are like, oh, it's a rebuild. Oh not so fast, my friends, and remodel. It's not a rebuild because, like you said, they have Aaron Donald who he's one of three players in the

NFL history to win three Defensive Player of the Year awards. And the other two are Lawrence Taylor and J. J. Watt not be pretty good, comfort not bad. And the other guy the other he straws. He stirs the defensive drink. He's that straw. The guy that stirs the offensive drink is Matthew Stafford. Now you know he doesn't have the gun that he once had, There's no question about that. But he can still make every throw and can make can make every throw with some zip on the football. I

mean, he was a human judge machine in his earlier years. He's not quite that anymore. But the dude can still throw the pill no question, and big game every which way around. I think the smart money says he plays or tries to play is sixty percent of Joe Burrow better than one hundred percent of Jake Browning but jured to have sixty percent Joe or one hundred percent of the Jake. Well, the other the other art you have to consider

is the long term, short term deal. I mean, honestly, this calf injury, I think they're gonna be going through this routine multiple times during the course of the rest of the season. These things are tricky. They just don't go away. They start to feel a lot better, and then all of a sudden you tweak it again, you know. And that's the thing. If Joe's out there playing, he spones four good balls, and well will the fifth ball be when I feel that? And now you're like,

am I gonna feel it? Am I not gonna feel? I mean, it's like it's just a it's a paint and the ass. You have to try to play through that kind of that kind of scenario. And if he does tweak it worse, you know. Now, now your situation is you have Jake Browning for an extended period of time, at least until after the bye week. If he tweaks at any any worse than than it is right now, and again, he can handle a lot of pain. I mean, the dude the dudes as tough as there is really mentally and physically.

Give me your report on Taylor Swift and Travis kell See. Of course the media is going nuts on that, and uh, Travis Kelsey has deep connections to the UC Bearcats. Taylor Swift going nuts. Did you see what was happening yesterday in Kansas City? The unspoken love between Taylor Swift and Travis Kelsey? Did you could you feel the passion? I wonder, you know, I it would be great. I think Bill Belichick had the greatest line

on that ever so far. He said, Boy, Travis Kelsey's made a lot of big catches during his career, but none bigger than this one. So leave it to Bill Belichick to sum it up. You know, well, this is unbelievable. Of course, everything in the world has a Cincinnati connection, and of course Kelsey and his brother spent like four years here. Pretty good, pretty good tight end. And I don't know what to say about these star Cross lovers, but that's the big story. And of course

the Congo line in Dolphin Land I watched this morning. I didn't see the game live. Seventy to twenty can talk about a beatdown. That's like when student nurses teeted up against Richard Speck in Chicago many years ago, and the Dolphins literally are doing a conga line with a kicking out el Kuca racha against against the Denver Broncos. Unbelievable what happened there? Sean Payton went after the old coacha for the for the Denver Broncos. What allows you job he did?

Now there's a congo line in Miami. Your reactions, Yeah, my first reaction on the final reaction on the Swift Kelsey thing. If they're there, yeah, if there is nothing really going on, romantically, greatest marketing move ever because you're taking the NFL audience and you're taking a big international music audience and you're co mingling the whole thing. It's like they're just from a social media standpoint, their clicks are gonna just They're gonna have additional people back

and forth. It is a shared marketing genius move. Different fact, that's all it is. But more than that, God bless both of them. Would you like to be in a locker room with Kansas City? Can you see the Chiefs players dealing with Travis Kelsey right now? Can you imagine that would you like to have a microphone in that locker room. I think each and every one of them are. They're bowing down to him so like you know, he's the Messiah. He is swift, going nuts with your mom.

Oh my god, we got a roll. Dave, you're the best at this. You've done it for fifty years. You've seen it all, You've done it all. My forty years are nothing compared to your fifty years with the Bengals. Tell me what happens tonight and give me the final score. Let's jump ahead about six hours. Does he play, does he not play? And who wins the game? Well? I think I think there's a strong chance he plays, but I would not be shocked if he does

not play. That's that's where I am right now. And I don't think we're gonna see seventy points in seven hundred and twenty six yards put up two. It did with the Miami Dolphins. No matter who's quarterbacking, that's not gonna happen seven and twenty six yards. Are you kidding me? Seventy points? Are you kidding me? That's the National Football League? Come on, man, they had two rating backs. He'd scored four touchdowns it's ridiculous.

It's ridiculous, it's scene, it's obscene. But you know, I'm gonna be very interested to see how the Bengals handle Sean McVeigh in his offense is schematically because you know the Bengals offense, it's gonna be who's going to be at the quarterback position that that's gonna be obviously the huge factor. But McVeigh and Laflora, they've used a lot of motion to collect information. The defensive eyes have to be right. They've got to communicate mc They use a hard

count, a quick count. He changes a launch point for Stafford with bootlegs, with nakeds, who'll have a couple of gadgets. I mean, it's gonna be interesting. If the Bengals can can pull this off, it would be a hell of a win and get their season and turned around and start. You know, Joe Burrow is still a single man. But if Taylor Swift shows up at paid Corn he's cheering on our quarterback, that'd be something you'd have a you'd have a cat fight going on between Travis Kelsey and Joe

Burrow and who wins that matchup? Well, I wish I wish Taylor Swift would donator calf to Joe Burrow. That would work. I mean, if we could get a good calf for Joe Burrow, no matter if it's male, female, whatever it is, I just want a calf. That's all I want. Give me a calf. Well, that's the only part of her anatomy I'm not interested in. So I hear you hear that? All right, Well, I think you might give it up. She will me give it up, that's what. Yeah, it's like, you know,

it's it's not really that benefficient. It's not I'll give up the calf. I don't mean I got an extra calf. He canna have one of mine. It sounds like an Ombish farmer in Adams County for God's sakes. All right, Dave Lapham, thank you for your analysis. My pleasure will anytime you're the man. Thank you, Dave. I'll see you later. Yeah, oh my god. The calf calf heard around the world.
