Reds Baseball
continues about six oh five to night. It's really the Cubs are non competitive against the Redge. The Dodgers are non competitive against the Reds. The only team competitive is Milwaukee. Fortunately they don't play him anymore. Their game and a half on first play in first place at this point first pitch about eight
ten to night. But until then, about a week ago, the governors of Ohio in Kentucky, the Buckeyes and the Third Bread's got together Andy but Sharon, Mike Dowane to talk about the Companion Bridge to the PS Bridge, when it's going to open, the construction companies were selected, etc. And when's the first shovel of dirt gonna happen. Plus I got to talk to
Governor Mike Dwine about the High State Fair going nuts as we speak. Plus, I know that the Dwine family has been well connected to Haiti for many decades, named after Becky, his lovely daughter who died in a car wreck many many years ago. And the Dwine family is donated and participated in literally millions of dollars to help the Haitian people. And right now it's in complete
collapse. But until then, Governor Mike Dwine, welcome again. And first of all, this afternoon, you find yourself at the High State Fair. How are we looking well? Bill? The State Fair is doing well, Fran. I've been out here every day. At some point we've actually taken three sets of rank Yester the Ohio State Fair. Fran yesterday was doing something she does every single year, which is go into what's called the Taste of Ohio, kind of und round building that has has all kinds of different Ohio
food and she was working with kids, cooking, making baking pizza. So she starts off that every time we got some wheat from our farm, and she grinds it, shows the kids how to grind it, and the particular the little boys, they love to grind the wheat, so they grind the wheat and then turn into flour and then they make into pizza. So that's what she's been doing out here at the fair as well as uh, you
know, taking taking our grandkids around. We're actually uh standing, I'm standing with doctor Gonzalez, the president of Ohio University, and she and I are actually getting ready to go into the Loose building named after a former governor of o Highway way back. But I want to get a little plug for this because the side out size says Youth Exploration Space presented by Intel, and we asked Intel to really kind of step up things and have something to be in
her active. So they're here along with Kosi as well as Battel Honda, NASA Glenn and when you walk in, it's just a fun thing for kids to get inspired about science, gets inspired about space, all kinds of different different things. So a lot to do with the Ohio State Fair. Let's talk about the bridge because most of your lifetime and mine the bridge and needed to be replaced. That I can recall that George Bush the forty three stood
in front of the bridge. Then we're gonna build the bridge. We then had Barack Husaint Obama stood in front of the bridge. Then we're gonna build the bridge. Then we have President Donald Trump in front of the bridge. We're gonna build a bridge. And Joe Biden probably doesn't get up to about ten o'clock in the morning, so I don't know what he's doing with the bridge. But at some point he's gonna say, let's build the bridge.
And when you appeared last week with Andy Basher, the governor of Kentucky, you two were confident that dirt would be turned by the end of the year. Uh is First of all, is that accurate? And secondly, I got a text from somebody who said, why isn't Governor DeWine using an Ohio company? So deal with the first part. In the second part then we'll go, Oh that's that's I love that, because we are an Ohio company CosIng. Uh. There they are the company that's the lead on this for
the for the construction of this uh three plus billion dollars um bridge. And so as you know, Bill, we're not only we're building a brand new bridge, uh, and we're also taking the current bridge and and you know, making it, making it better. But uh, it is cocosing. They were named. That's what Governor Bisher and I announced a few days ago. Cocosing is an Ohio company. Uh. They built a lot of things in Ohio and they've been here for you know, they're probably in the third
or fourth generation company now. All right, so it is an Ohio company. And can you give us, give Tony Benner some sort of a time period. I think you and I will long be gone by the time it's accidentally operational. In nineteen fifty eight, Brent Spence, a congressman, had to get his vote, and so Sam Rayburn went to Brent Spence and said, hey, I need your vote on this thing. And Brent Spence said, well, let's build a bridge. It took five years from saying hey,
let's build a bridge to the first car that flew over it. Here we are in twenty twenty three. Can you give me some decade that this might actually happen in a car will travel on the new bridge. The goal is by the end of twenty twenty nine, and you know that's a long time. Governor Pscher and I were joking with each other yesterday or a few days ago and said, well, neither one of us will be in office when that occurs, is to keep this thing on schedule and to keep moving
forward. That we got a hiccup, uh, you know, with words from the federal government that we've we need to do another environmental assessment. Now we have done. I think this will be the fourth one that we have done in the last ten years. We don't think anything's going to change. In fact, things maybe even look better. So what we've asked the federal government to do is just speed up the process. We know they're going to require them to do is kind of when we play King Pong and we send
a report back to them. We asked them to be able to turn that report around quickly and so we can just keep moving. So we've come up with a compressed schedule and if we're able to if they're able to meet that compressed schedule, then we will not get behind and we'll be able to continue to move forward. So it's gonna take longer than anyone wants. But hey, you know, we've waited a long time and the key is to get
started, and we are now started, all right. As far as the bridge, For those who think the BS bridge is going away, it is not the BS bridge as it's currently configured, will be improved. That'll be the so called local bridge, and the bridge next to that, which should be on the west side, would be the I like to call it the Great American Bridge. I have that bridge which should be the traffic going from and bypassing Cincinnati. Well, we could keep the tradition of having two names
and called the Bill Cunningham Bridge. What do you think about that? That would be a bridge instead of a ps bridge. There might be a little, a little objection to that by some in the city of Cincinnati. I'm not sure, maybe not. You know, I was born in Covington and I was raised in Cincinnati. So I feel like the Colossus of roads with a foot in each state. And so, uh, well, you know that or the Great American Bridge, you know, whatever, whatever we can
we can come up with. But I get I've kind of joked with Governor. But here I said, you know, Governor, you guys owned the Ohio River, which we always think is kind of strained, but you own the river, and so it would seem that you should pay for the most most of the construction. But he did not buy that, so he said, no, we need to slip this. So that's what we're doing. It's kind of odd because the Ohio begins at the eighteen o three northern boundary
of the Ohio River. So over the last two hundred and thirty years, two and twenty years, there's been a little bit of movement. I think Ohio Minor own about thirty to forty feet of the northern boundary of the Ohio River. Is that true? Well, I don't know, Bill, but you know what historians tell me is that before we did all the flood control and before we put the dams up in the locks up, that the Ohio
River free flowing, was actually a much smaller river. And so that's it's it's kind of interesting if you go back and you know, watch some movies that are supposed to be set back in the pioneer days, if they're accurate, they should show that Ohio River a significantly smaller than the river that you and I are used to dealing with. Just a little, a little,
a little history there. I didn't know. Now, before we talk about Haiti, I get calls from some of your Republican compatriots wanting to become the next governor. Uh, you're not quite done yet. In fact, you hit most of your term remaining, and uh, are you going to make an endorsement for governor, whether it's Sean Eustead or David Yost or someone else. Are you staying out of that business well straight after go So I kind of feel I'm not sure what the analogy would be, but you know,
I'm still going strong. So we got locked a do and uh, first of all, Uh, you know, John Eusta has been a great, great partner and uh, you know, really focused on economic development for the state. We're you know, we're now creating more jobs every day than we have people to fill them. So our real emphasis, candidly is on education. Uh. Something that the Lieutenant Governor I are really focused on right now, had a meeting on it yesterday. UH is moving to the science of
reading, which is really how kids can learn to read. For some of us, we called it phonics. For about twenty or twenty five years, we got away from it in many schools, and we got to get back to it. And so we're providing every school in the state of Money to switch over their curriculum if they have to do that, if they have to teach their teachers, you know, to focus on this, but it's it's really getting back to what we now know clearly worked, and that's called the
science, the science of reading. Let me share with the American people a story from twenty twenty one. The headline is few would elected leaders know the inner workings of Haiti, like Ohio Governor Mike DeWine. And the story says that you have a school named after your daughter, Becky, who was killed in a car crash in nineteen ninety three when she was twenty two years old. I saw an NBC report on Haiti today. It has fallen into complete
chaos and sewers. There's no government, there's no police department. The president was assassinated. If someone says to the president, they get assassinated. A terrible kidnapping is taking place right now with a woman and her daughter. What is the status of the Dawine School in Haiti in this environment? Well, it's interesting, Bill, you know, all the things you say are true. It's kind of dropped off the radar for most Americans and really for the
national media. And it wasn't until tragically missionary she and her child were kidnapped several days ago that really started reviving interest in Haiti, and that's just a horrible tragedy. Kidnappings occur there all the time, and it's just a tough situation. But father Tom Hagen, who named after our late daughter Becky for about twenty years, he was with us this past weekend and fran I had a chance to really talk to him about what's going on down there. Uh,
Bill is chaos. Uh. The last time that this country really uh there was law and order and that people could go about their business was when we had us marines down there. Uh and fran I were actually down there to see our marines, which is how we first got back in nineteen ninety five, how we first got interested in Haiti, and we were just overwhelmed by the poverty. Uh. But but how lovely the people are. But you know, how do we We started thinking, well, how can we
help? And to make a very long story short, we started looking for someone to help, and fortunately we found father Tom Hagan. We knocked on his door one day we'd heard about him, and um, you know, we've been very close to him, you know ever since when we first started talking with him, I think he had about one hundred kids in school. Now he has all over Haiti, about ten thousand kids in school any education
but for his schools uh and they give them a meal a day. And but his he's basically operating out what is called city, a slum of about four hundred define mine thousand people um in Port of Prince. And it's just, you know, what you described as open sewers um just get horrible, you know, conditions, unbelievable conditions. The only thing now that's operating because of the chaos, definitely, the only thing is operating in City so lay and so Um. You know, he has the gangs have taken over,
and so the police are corrupted. The police won't go into City so lay Um. Even if they do go in, they don't do much. And so the gangs have taken over. And what father Tom just to tell you and a little story, He was able to get a peace agreement or a cease fire so that these schools could stay open. This was like ten days ago. And he told us about it, and he said it was particularly difficult. He said, I just you know, had to go to the
two main gang leaders try to broke or at least to cease fire. And what made particularly difficult is the one gang leader that killed the other gang leader's mother. And you know, so it's just he said, it's just trying to work this out. But he's eighty years old. Father Tom is but he continues to work miracles down there and kids get get are educated, and they get they get food in spite of nothing else working in Haiti very well. I can assume that Mike DeWine and fran Dwine would not go to Haiti
today. I would not advise any any American to go. Anybody to go to Haiti is just too too risky. Your risk kidnapping, you also risk just getting getting shot, uh at random random bullets. The last time we were down there, Bill was in twenty nineteen. We want, we want to Haiti. We've been down there about We've made about twenty five business I think over the last twenty five years. Um, and just to you know,
encourage Father Tom and help him. And you know, we're not as friends as we're not doctors, we're not nurses, we don't have a great expertise, so um, you know, what we try to do is just inform people about what's going on in Haiti. We go down there to you know, encourage Father Tom. He comes back. Um, we we've held fundraisers for him at the Great American Ballpark. We've done a number in Columbus. We've also done him my friend in Berto Fidelli up and and Finns Champanelle
up in Cleveland. So we we did one. We do want every every July, and we did one in Cleveland, as I said a couple of weeks ago. So probably more than anybody wants to know. But as a situation down there, you know, if you think about it, you know it does impact the United States because drugs come through Haiti and if there's no police then it's easy for the drug dealers to operate down there and to use
that as a transshipment point for drugs going into the United States. It's also important because look, we have a lot of uh when nothing is working in Haiti, guess what people in Haiti want to do or they want to come to the United States. So all of these things, yeah, do impact us. And even though it's kind of dropped off our radar radar screen, what happens in Haiti matters, and um, I'm we send US troops back there. But you know, I've made it very clear to the Biden administration
that we need to do something. We need to have some deserted effort to the UN or some way so that, uh, you know that there's some some sort of stability there in that in that in that country that's very you know, an hour flight from Miami. Yeah. Yeah, I often say, you think we got problems. Other parts in the world have so urious problems, and ours is about about the Ohio State Fair when it opens,
when it closes. I'm sure doctor Gonzales and Athens has problems. And then I look at an NBC News report from Porter Prince and I'm thinking, okay, I'll take my problems anytime. Well, Governor, we gotta run. I love having you on, all right, don't forget what Fran Dwine owes me. I want to keep that quiet. Ye, I predicted your victory cherry pie. I'm sure she's growing the trees right now to make the pie, and I can't we you predicted the margin too, Yeah, so you
were so clearly we owe you a cherry pie. So you want me to bring that up with fran and yes, that goes, Yes, bring it up with her, all right, we'll be working on it. France. France the pie baker. Um, I'll tell all right, Mike, thank you very much, God bless you. Thank you all right, Billy, let's continue. That's Governor of Ohio, Mike Dwine live from Ohio State Fire by the by the butter, elephants, and so much more. He's making
that wheat and making that rice and not making cherry pie. Let's continue with more. My friend and I are taking a trip to Mexico this year, but neither of us speak Spanish, so we downloaded Babel and started learning Spanish fast. Why I could text him all my buddies, ask him this, ask him that, And by
the time I get done talking, there's nothing else to ask. One good thing about Mike and Frand when their daughter Becky tragically was killed in a traffic accident and they hooked up with a Catholic priest and needed help in a Haiti school system ministry, they quickly said, let's maybe this is a sign from God to do something positive, and they hooked up with Father Tom Hagan to to put money into a school in Haiti. A few bucks go a long
way in Haiti, that don't go very long here. So you heard him say, at this point, first of August, there's about ten thousand Haitian chill that have a place to go for about six hours a day in a bunch of schools, and father Tom Hagan is now eighty years old. It is the kidnapping capital of the world. There is no government in Haiti. The only time it was safe is when American soldiers stood up for a few years and they provided some peace and quiet. The Haitian people, the ones
i've met, I met a few, are just wonderful. All they want to do is get out and live a life the way you and I live our lives. I know. Mike DeWine catches serious flock every time he does something, but almost every time he runs for election, he gets re elected. He just had the greatest electoral victory in the history of Republican politics in the state of Ohio or democratic politics. He won by He got sixty five percent of the vote, won by twenty five percentage points for God's sakes,
so he must be doing something right. But he thinks mister Rogers is exciting, and what's wrong with having someone who's filled with faith and family without any any hint of scandal and he simply gets up every day and does his job. I'll give you an antidote before I get onto the issues of the day. I have a good friend of mine who asked me to put a good ward in for Mike when he was first elected governor about five and a half years ago, and said, you know, I like to hold a cabinet
post. So I met what I called Mike, and I say, hey, Mike and his friend of mine, well known to you, and I that I would like to work in your cabinet. He said, well, he's certainly qualified, but will you tell him this for me? I said, all right, what should I tell him? He said, I report for work about seven o'clock in the morning and I stayed about five or five thirty. Lots of stuff to do, and I work half a day on
a Saturday. And I want my cabinet officials to work at least as long as I do, and if they don't, they'll be told to find other work. Because he said, when you get paid by the taxpayer, that they won't returning their investment. That they want you to work. So I related to this friend of mine somewhat well known individuals somewhere in southwest Ohio, and so it got back to, well, I don't want to work that
hard. So Mike Dwine right now is like seventy six years old. And when I talked to guys who worked for him and a woman who works for him, he's at work every day at seven o'clock. You might not like him working at seven o'clock. If you don't like what he does, maybe you don't want him to work. But nonetheless, Mike Dwine, it's a twenty four to seven gig, seven o'clock in the morning to five five thirty at night. Take work home with you on Saturday, he'll call his captain
officials. I saw this. I saw that, let's do this, and you better be ready to answer, and you're held accountable. Not real exciting, not a real funny dude. But we've gotten along for thirty or forty years since I've been here forty years ago. I started in August of nineteen eighty three. Here I am still kicking it, having the same passion now that I had in nineteen eighty three. In fact, you might be incorrect, and you might be incorrect and saying this, but I have as much
or more passion now than I had in nineteen eighty three. He goes in nineteen eighty three. My gosh. I worked from eight o'clock in the morning to five o'clock, and then I came in here at night from nine pm to one am. Then I got up and did it again the next day. So I had more time now than I had before. I enjoy it, and every now and then I feel thirty five. Most of the time, I still want to raise a little cane with the boys, So no
I regress. Say what you want about Mike Dwine. He's on the job, he cares, he's indefatigable, he's not corrupt, he's honest, and he's at the fare. Most of us and my buddies would not go to the fire. I went to the fair one time to see the alligator Lady, and I went back again. You see some other snake lady. My boys, my friends, the Bob Lakes and the Jim Willets and Bill Bishops, people like that in my past. And I quit going because they got
rid of the alligator lady. It was unfair to her to have people look at her with alligator skin. Now she's unwelfare somewhere. That's a different story. But nonetheless, say which I want about Mike Dwine. He's on the job, and he's honest, and he's gonna call the bridge the Bill Cunningham Bridge. But I think, well, I have to have peer of all. And the Democrats in Hamlety County have nothing to do with it. It's
the state of Ohio. And I stayed at Kentucky, and I'm told that because I was born in Kentucky that Governor Bascher is not going to be opposed to it. So in three or four or five years, look forward to my bridge, the Great American Bridge to the west side of the present b S Bridge, which will be the Brent Spence Bridge, will be used for local t traffic, and the Great American Bridge named after me will be used for interstate travel from Michigan to Florida and places in between. So have not
had on Mike for a while. I talked to him this morning. He said, sure, I'm at the fair. I said, I can imagine you're in your element. He said, I loved to milk a cow. I said, Governor, have at it where you go. Secondly, story in USA today today, which is truly unbelievable, unbelievable and indicative of the lack of attention played to this issue. Paid to this issue by the National Administration USA today. In fact, you're a good friend of mine, kid.
Chris sent it to me, but it's under date of today, August first, at eleven thirty six am, about a lou over an hour ago. Fairly shocking this headline secret medical lab in California stored bio and neared mice lated with COVID. You read the story and the communist red Chinese had established a place called Prestige Biotech had been operating as an unlicensed, unregulated laboratory since October of twenty twenty two. So it's been almost a year. And what
was in that lab and what's happening? And I've alerted you to this, and the national media does little or nothing with it, and the current administration Joe Biden Ma Yorkis couldn't care less that there are bus loads of Chinese nationals coming legally and mainly illegally across the southern border, heroine, selling fentanyl,
involved in sex trafficking of large numbers of little girls and boys. And they also set up secret police stations like in New York City that was busted, Washington, DC that was by in which they monitor their nationals inside of our country and commit criminal acts here and hold Chinese accountable for doing what they should be doing. How many Chinese police stations are there in our country, We
don't know, Cooding Apartment of Justice. There's many operations of the Chinese government inside of our country called police stations and the Chinese vernacular that are well armed, and they monitor Chinese in this country and tell them if you don't do what we tell you to do, we know where your family is in Beijing and will take care of your family in China. They also have operated for a long time unlicensed, unregulated labs. And what was in this lab?
How about this one? It was revealed by California health officials that this facility housed various chemicals, suspected biologic materials, bodily fluids, and hundreds of lab mice, among other lab supplies, according to According to the documents, county officials also located medical devices believed to have been developed on site, such as COVID nineteen and certain pregnancy tests. There were thousands of mice also found in
the warehouse, where they were kept inadequate conditions in overcrowded cages. I mean, how in the hell do you keep mice in overcrowded cages with no food or water, according to court documents, and these mice were genetically engineered to
carry and catch the COVID virus. The city seized the mice in April and euthanized seven hundred and seventy three of them, but nearly one hundred and eighty were already dead, and there were thousands kept in freezers at minus eighty degrees to have research conducted there, and certain rooms of this Chinese warehouse in Frisne,
California were found to contain vessels of liquid and various apparatuses. Fresno County public health officials also observed blood tissue, human fluid samples and serums, and thousands of vials of unlabeled fluids and suspected biological materials, many containing numerous infectious agents such as HIV, COVID, Plamidia, rubella, malaria, and many others. At this point unknown the persons involved in this have dispersed. They
don't exist anymore. They simply left unlicensed, unregulated one lab. This comes on top of the fact that there are literally millions and millions of acres of American land purchased around US military bases by the Chinese. And this has been going on for twenty to thirty years, and this is known to the federal government of our federal government, and don't hear much about it at all, very little. The companies affiliated with this Chinese lab and Fresno have several California
based addresses with po boxes. Court documents noted that other addresses provided were either empty offices or addresses in China that could not be verified. How many are there, it is unknown. Bus loads, planeloads, trainloads, hundreds of
thousands of Chinese agents all in the country. Because we have a wide open southern border, we have no system of knowing who's here, who is not here, what are their intentions, and we know the intentions are not good, and we know their criminal gangs operating all over Hell's half Acre of one
type or another. Following the old Communist dictate of number one, you bribe the leaders of a country with tens of millions or hundreds of millions of dollars, bribe them, put money personally in their pockets and those of family members to make sure they have generational wealth, and then you loot their country with billions or trillions of assets because they're bought and paid for. And that's what's
happened to our country, to the United States of America. Imagine the country love so much by Eisenhower and John F. Kennedy and Lyndon Baines Johnson and Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan even throwing Bill Clinton despite his criminal acts beginning thirty years ago. They all felt as if we got to defend the United States of America. We can't let our main adversary that wants to kill us by
millions of acres of farmland around our military bases. We can't let the number one enemy in the world to us of freedom to have a spy balloon transfers the entire country from short shore taking pictures of our military bases. We can't have the president's family getting millions and millions of dollars of bribes and payoffs from China, Ukraine, Romania, Russia, etc. We can't let that happen.
I don't care what party you belong to. When it is discovered that we have a corrupt president who has made millions of dollars directly and indirectly off as Sun's activities, now involving all these telephone calls with Devin Archer and individuals all over the world in which the bidens are paid tens of millions of dollars to stand down. When the adversary is China, that's paid off the bidens, give the leaders millions and millions, and we can then own them in
the future. And now you have you are not secret labs anymore USA today. Take a look at the story, might think, oh, he's making this up. Take a look at the story of the Chinese loose releasing in the land, diseases HIV, COVID, chlamydia, Rebella, malaria, and more infectious elements. And no one knows who's in the country. We have
no desire to learn who's in the country. We have incredible human sex trafficking happening on the southern border we lead the world, and suicides and drug trafficking, and now the leaders of Red China have unlocked the door and they simply walk in with the southern border with impunity or forces. They are overwhelmed and there's nothing we can do about it. According to the Democrats, and according to the media, this is on top of Oakland le ACP leadership and aame
churches in Oakland, saying you got to declare a state of emergency. According to the NAACP, telling the Democratic leadership of Oakland, failed leadership, including the movements to the fund the police, our district attorney's unwillingness to charge and prosecute people who murder and commit life threatening serious crimes, and the proliferation of anti police rhetoric have created a heyday for Oakland criminals. These leaders go on to say, we are afraid to leave our home. We cannot go to
work or enjoy parks or recreation activities in Oakland. These are the black social leaders of Oakland. Telling the Black leadership in Oakland, it highlights a number of recent high profile incidents in which women were targeted by young mobs who surround them on public streets, especially residents of Asian descent robbed in Chinatown, street venders being robbed, and even news crews having their camera stolen. This is
a crisis. Amy leader of Bishop Bob Jackson says to the leadership in Oakland, please save us. We need help. We're disappointed that's such a great African American leadership politically will not save us from what's happening to Oakland residents. It's not as bad as Haiti yet, but when will this country wake up and say we can't take it anymore. I think next November we're gonna have a choice on one hand of selecting someone who's out on bond on maybe a
hundred felonies. That's the Republican nominee. On the Democratic side, we have a person who's accepted to erectly and indirectly tens of millions of dollars in bribes, who's mentally incompetent because of his age and infirmities. Those are the two choices. I'm going to vote for the guy out on bond instead of the guy that's wide open the southern border, ruined the livability in many of our cities, and permit spy balloons to travel over the country because his family has
been bought and paid for. God only knows what the Chinese have on the bidens that is provable. And every time the Devin Archers' world confirm your worst suspicions of massive bribery and traders traders activities committed by Joe Biden, etc. Then Democratic mouthpieces come out and say, haven't laid a glove on him. Yet there's not much to see here at all. My God, are we
in trouble. Let's continue with more coming up next. I saw the story in the Hill dot com about what's happening with the EI diversity, equity and inclusion and when it comes to UH to hospitals and doctors, and now the movement is afoot to have certain institutions perform in certain ways otherwise they lose their Medicare and Medicaid funding. That's pretty bad stuff. Plus later on we're gonna we're gonna put a call into Peyton Sterns, the great female tennis player,
to talk about the tennis tournament coming up and more. But the nation's most profound enemy this side of Nazi Germany, that is Communist read China has bought and paid for the presidency of the United States of America and now it's reaping dividends. to night our time, and we continue. Of course, one of the issues that came to light in the Yellow Freight bankruptcy was the terrible increasing cost of healthcare. So few of us actually pay our fair share, which is the services that we use and we pick up the expenses literally of millions of people that put little or nothing into the system. Is there a non traditional
way of doing this to fun healthcare? And Chris Faddis is with Solidarity health Share, which was an article that was in The Hill and also in National Review. And Chris Faddis, Welcome to the Bill Cunningham Show. And Chris, can you tell the American people exactly what is the concept behind Solidary health Share and why, hopefully will be the future of healthcare in the country.
Yeah, I mean, really, we just took things back to the beginning when we used to help each other in the community and support each other's needs, and those who had a lot supported a lot, and those who had little got the support they needed. And you know, essentially healthcare sharing is people coming together. We share each other's medical expenses. Solidarity just sits in the middle to facilitate that. And it's really the bringing healthcare back to work
and be Our members get to choose their own doctors. We help them find doctors if they need it, and then we fight for fair pricing and transparent pricing to make sure we pay the lowest toss possible while still making sure the doctor makes the money they need, and the hospitals don't take you know, these egregious profits that they're trying to take. Well. The other issue, to me is very important is that so many do not pay into the system
yet get almost the same benefits of those that pay a lot. So how do you how do you dissuade those or can you dissuade those who pay zero into the system? Yeah, get the same healthcare if someone who pays two or three thousand a month, right, Well, the beauty is that for our members, you know, first of all, we our average monthly costs is about five hundred and sixty dollars a month for a family, and so that that, you know, really helps to lower the costs for a lot
of people. So it even the playing field. We have members who are doing very well in life, and we have members who are you know, of lower income, and it's a it's a great middle ground, and yet they're all able to receive the same benefit, the same health care and then support each other's medical needs, you know, for the normal wellness stuff, but also for the big things that happen in life. To deliver transplants, the nick use stay, the cardiac arrests, all of those things are able
to support each other. And Chris, is this open to everyone or just to a certain group of people. Well, you know, under the Affordable Care Act, it is it is required that there be a shared set of beliefs. And so we are Christian and Catholic at our founding, and that's the shared set of the beliefs that people have to adhere to. But if people read our read our shared beliefs, a lot of folks who fall in the category of Christian will be able to sign off on that and be a
part of that. And we've been many that have invited their family and friends who maybe aren't practicing their faith anymore, and they really like it. It's an opening to them back into into their faith. Well, let's say my producer, Tony Benner has a relationship with the Christ's Hospital and a particular doctor there who's done some work for him, and he wants to keep keep his doctor. I sound like Obama maniacs here, which didn't work out. Keep
your doctor, keep your plan. Everyone's cost is going to go down. The whole Obamacare was sold as a lie and people bought at hook line and sinker the big promises where if you like your plan, keep your plan, like your doctor, keep your doctor, and the family costs will go down seven and a half thousand dollars per patient per year. In other words, you're gonna get a lot more services for a lot less money. What the hell happened to Obamacare? Well, yeah, it didn't happen. It's what's
it's crazy about those parmac that they made. And so if you look back, it was clearly a consolidation built of getting all of making it so that all these hospitals would buy up all of these clinics and individual doctor's offices. And that's one of the reasons why it's hard to find a doctor who's not perhaps you know, in the Christ's Hospital network or owned by that system. The beauty is, you know, with our because we have no networks.
You know, we would allow Tony to go wherever he wants to go, and then we would work with them. If that hospital or system was a little more difficult to work with, we have ways to work with them to arrange that care and make sure that he still gets the doctor he wants, and if not, we certainly have ways to help and find to the doctors.
But but there's a there's several ways we help our members. The first thing is, first of all, they have a card similar to an insurance card, and most of the time you just hand that off and they just build us directly. So we handle a lot of that for the members. And the cost is five to sixty a month for a family. How does
that Work's average? That's that's an average number, you know, like my Ainley is at seven fifty a month, so you know, it's it's across the board, but we go as low as eighty five for a young single. So the reason it works is because we don't have all the middlemen. You know, we've we've taken out all of that bloat as much as possible. There's still things, of course in the healthcare system that are there, but we have a lot less of the overhead and so we're able to drive
more of those dollars towards the actual medical spend of the members. And then because we do what we call reference based pricing, and we fight for fair and just pricing. You know, we're every day getting medical bills discountant at a rate of fifty to seventy percent, and that's what we're paying and that's being accepted as payment in full. So we fight that we keep the cost down. You know, last year, I believe we saved our members fifty
million dollars collectively on their medical bills. So what if Tony benders in Tennessee at Dolly were World and he is a medical emergency not in Boone County but in Dolly World. What happens then? Then he just off the card at the er and they'll send the bills directly to us. If they decide not to, they'll send them to him and they'll submit them directly. The beauty.
You know. One of the great things, one of the things we've done right in our medical system, which we are not allowed to refuse emergency care at the AR. So you have that benefit going for you. But you do have your Solidarity card there to get them to send the bills directly and if not, they'll send them to you. You give them to us, so we'll take it from there. Let's assume you have pre existing conditions.
Almost every American has something. I often tell someone who contracts cancer, heart disease, maybe a plant or fasciitis or whatever it might be, that everybody's got something. So let's say you're fifty five years old and you have two or three health ailments. Does your insurance does your system paid for that pre existing conditions? Yeah, so we have we do have limits. That's one of the things about healthcare sharing, because it's not you know, we're
not reinsuring any of the expenses or any of that. We do have limits on prexisting conditions. However, you a solidary. We have several ways to work with folks of the previous conditions. Several conditions that are that are lifestyle related, like heart disease and obesity and diabetes. Those fall under something called our Wellness program, And if a person participates in that, where they work with a coach and we monitor their condition, then that condition sharable. And
we have several other ways to help people. But even if it is for existing, it's graduated, it's grandfathered in over a course of three years, so a member can come on board. That condition might be limited for the
first three years, but then after that time to be fully sharable. Now, your article in the National Review says a few things, including this that the leftist in America are waging an all out political assault against faith based healthcare and attempting to force doctors to perform abortions, sex change operations, hormonal suppression and puberty blocking, etc. So politics has infected healthcare, and God help
you if you don't participate in this. How do you handle individuals? One tenth of one percent of us one tenth of one percent have gender dysphoria, which means I might feel like I'm a male, I might act like I'm a male, I may have genitalia like I'm a male, but deep in
my soul, I believe I'm a female. My name's Billy Jean and not Bill and so well, what's happened to the cost of healthcare when the government mandates a less than a faith based healthcare system and they require certain services that you don't want to perform and I don't want to pay for. Right, well, one of the great things for US is the Healthcare Sharing Ministry is
we are so far immune to those policies. So so you know, if the HHS is working hard to put in requirements for all healthcare hospitals and insurance companies to have to prot our state in gender gender affirming procedures, as they would call it right in therapy. And so you know, luckily we are not required to do that, and we won't be for some time. They have to, they have to create a statute for them, but we won't. We don't participate that our members are actually you know, they can be
assured that their dollars aren't going to that now. Of course, if someone that's gender is storia and they need counseling and support in those things, of course we would help them with that, right that's that's the proper way to treat them. But what we're seeing is this, you know, this all out of tack, especially from the Biden administration, but from the left all
over the place, pushing these hospitals and threatening these hospitals. I mean, just a couple of weeks ago, Navier Visa said that if these hospitals and these doctors do not participate and gender treatments, they he will pull their Medicare
Medicare funding. Now, there's lots of statutory reasons why he probably can't do that, but he's going to try, and he's trying to do it using the Section fifteen fifty seven, which is the discrimination rules in the Affordable Care Act, and that that's a huge that's going to be a huge hit.
You think about Christ's Possible and how many people it serves in your in your area, and all of the Christian and Catholic hospitals around the country would serve about forty percent of the population, and they're going to take away their medicare dos Who's going to serve those patients. There are not enough other hospitals and systems out there to serve the Medicare patients. So this is a big issue.
And one of the reasons why I think we do what we do and why it's successful is because people know that they can opt out of this bureaucracy that's trying to force woke medicine and they can be a part of something that aligns with their values, and we know their dollars are going to go to those those things. And one of the big things now is forcing a doctor at Christ's Hospital or Good sam or one of the other Catholic organizations or Jewish
hospital to perform abortions and things of that character. And there are some religious doctors who will do it, but the majority will not. So what happens is the career of a medical doctor in a large hospital that will not perform an abortion. Yeah, I mean, right now, I mean there's already been some evidence that they will be kind of you know, dealt with or
ostracience or whatever one of the things that we've seen. You know, last year, when the dab's decision came down, Um, you know, the AMA came out and said that they call I believe it was the AMA was one of the larger sorry it wasn't them, one of the larger ob gyn kind of professional organizations in the country came out calling for d licensure of any doctor who's unwilling to perform an abortion or speaks out against abortion. Um.
So that's that's one of the threats right now. The other threat is if you are part of one of these hospital systems organizations that complies with the policies that that HHS is trying to put out and you don't want to comply, will they be forced to fire you? And the way it looks is they would. Right, So there's no there's no recourse for the individual doctor.
So now we're talking about conscription of service. I mean we're literally talking about forcing someone indentured servitude into something that they find reprehensible, you say in the article in National Review. Saint Francis Memorial Hospital is a medical facility on the Common Spirit Health's umbrella and part of what's known as the Dignity Health Network.
Despite the fact that Saint Francis is clearly affiliated with Catholic healthcare providers, the hospital employees quote surgeons and specialists dedicated to gender affirming individual care and produced a YouTube video promising sex change surgeries. It's the way to live is your authentic self, and that is said right there. That's said. Yeah. I mean, one of the things they've got to be mindful of here is that, you know, we're all raised in the flag and trying to fight against
this government intrusion. But unfortunately some of these hospitals are already capitulating now. To be fair, you know, Common Spirit Health is a merger of two systems, one fully Catholic, one that was partially Catholic, and you know,
the one that was partially Catholic owned this hospital. So they absorbed this hospital, but they've owned it for four years now, and so this came out and there's some other things that this system is doing as well, because it as a Catholic myself as an organization that serves a lot of Catholics, you know, we feel strongly that it's important that you if you're going to talk about faith based selfcare, then we need to surely define that and make
sure that it's clear what we are and aren't. And so that's that's a big, big scare there, because one of the concerns is that these hospitals will capitulate and then ultimately we would de facto no longer have faith based healthcare
if all of these hospitals capitulate to these pressures. Well, lastly, before we give out your website to this article, your article points out the studies have indicated that between eighty to ninety five percent of children who question their gender naturally embrace their biological sex without undergoing puberty blockers or cross sex hormones, if
given time and space to grapple with their internal conflicts. And the reason this is aggravated today is that the system, the culture, the society we live and encourages a twelve or thirteen or fourteen year old to question their gender, which never happened before in America in history, when somebody showed up and they had some gender dysphoria that would be handled by the family, get some treatment,
get some care, understand what you're doing. But in today's world, when forty percent a Brown university in Providence, Rhode Island, forty percent of the student body says they're LGBTQ plus plus plus, that indicates to me that many kids are acting out in such a way that's acceptable to society, and that is not the case. Historically, gender dysphoric individuals is about one tenth of one percent, which is still a couple million people in the whole country.
But we encourage gender dysphoria today that never happened before. Yeah, I mean, it's clearly a social contingent, right, I mean the fact that we have gone this far since Bruce gender changed his gender and all of these things, I mean, it has been a massive marketing machine to do this
and so clearly a social contingent. And we have a duty as as you know, especially as Christian that as folks who know the truth here, we have a duty to protect these children as long as we can till they till they do turn that around so they do see the other side of this. And like those eighty percent who actually end up, you know, changing their mind and really holding back against this idea of having these surgeries at such a
young age before someone has a chance to really come to their senses. I mean, you imagine. I mean, I don't know about you, Bill, but I was making some very interesting decision when I was fifteen years old, and those I'm glad that those decisions were not things that I had to live with the rest of my life. Now my decisions are about skirts and basketball, but that's a different issue. What is your website? I want to get this out to the American people to get more information to opt out,
maybe opt into a religious based healthcare system. What is your website? Chris Faddis, Yeah, visit us at Solidarity health share dot org. Solidarity health share dot org. And they had a butt whip and applied to them by the duo of Dennison and Vulcans, the likes of which they will not soon forget. Here's the two old pitch. Its foul off Cunningham loft phone. They sent him back to Cincinnati like a couple of whimpering ninnies, and all hail said Dennison and Stanley Bulkans two. One pitch, that's ball three. Humiliating would not be a strong enough word to describe how bad a whipping they put on those boys. Is that when you run out the parking lot and just get the

He was spry you that you wanted to match. So a lot of people were there. We had what two or three, four or five hundred people watching it. Channel five was there? Channel five was there?
The Middletown police showed up and they wanted to know there was a severe beating at Lefferston Park and we said, well, the two guys just left, well Tiger Tiger Woods, by the way, just joined the PGA tour board whatever they all that means, oh boy. Most importantly, when my caddie at the Kenwood Country Club told me he went to Saint x High School, I said to him, do you know a rocky boyman? He looked at me and he said, is he that old guy with red hair standing next
to mixed a coach? Spect I said, that sounds like rocky bombs. So the fact is I had somebody passed their prime described as an old guy with red hair. So really, I flame we were both. We were both in the on same terms then and then I wanted to have a rematch, which you have denied me repeatedly. Well, you don't have anybody rematch you do? You absolutely not, Bengo, When you get one time, that's it. I learned. I learned from mentors, and I will not

Yeah, how about but I think you've had more victories. Yeah, I think you've had more victories than defeats. But nonetheless, like the wide world of sports, we'll say, last night, the Reds to me look impregnable and unbeatable in that order six to five now
have almost sixty wins. I think they're fifty nine and forty nine something like that game and a half in first And now what are the trade rumors? I heard a report from Dave that possibly mister Kate Upton may join the Reds. Andrew Abbott struggled, but the bullpen steps up six relievers combined from one run over the final five and two thirds innings, saying, how about having an Abbott skip a start or two? Do you get him ready well for September? Maybe he will, Willie, because today Hunter Green was sent to the Arizona Complex League on a rehab assignment. Again, let's see, the Reds did make a trade last night. They acquired a pitcher, Sam Mole from Oakland for
a minor leaguer. So Mole's going to be another left the second left hander out of the bullpen. According to GM Nick Crawl and Sam is probably very happy today to leave Oakland and head to since I bet he is the mole. I try to catch moles. The Braves have upgraded their bullpen, acquiring Colorado Rockies closer Brad Hand. This would be his ninth team since twenty fifteen, so he's gonna have a big man cave with all his jersey's hanging up.
Looks like rich Hill is going to beat Dealt from the Pirates to the Padres and shortstop Paul DeJong looks like he's gonna go to Saint Louis, From Saint Louis to Toronto in a little bit. When was the last time in August the Reds were in first place. I'd have to talk to Joe. Luck up, Joe. Usually it's the other way around. Usually the Cardinals are in first place and the Reds are, you know, firing and trading guys left and right like the dal Jones average. Now we're I think twenty
thirteen at one, but it's gonna at least ten years now. They got a game and a half lead because Washington beat Milwaukee last night. How was that possible. Never know. Whenever Milwaukee plays the Reds correct like the seventy six rends right anyone else? You know, they have a losing record against all the teams in baseball, correct, except in the Central Division. Bengals update. Training camp continues today for our men. The pads go on for

Yeah, I mean you know, well, I mean something, You're very fortunate. I'd rub some dirt on it and go play. Let's see the Cincinnati what. The Cincinnati Bearcats open their training camp tomorrow at Nippert Stadium, higher Ground. They go there this weekend. What about Jim Kelly. I think he's still I think he's still gonna do the games with Moe

They battled Ports a goal to a scoreless draw. So, but Dan Rose Lavelle Willie Are Cincinnati and Adam Mount Notre Dame got a yellow card and she's gonna be suspended from Sunday's knockout stage match. It looks like against Sweden, Swedish Sweden, well they they they're gonna win there,
They're gonna win their group. They're good. I don't know. So American team so concerned about politics. Correct, beat Vietnam, right, I don't count out as a victory. Yeah, And then they lose and then they tie, then they tie one game. Maybe they spend too much time on politics, disrespecting the American flag, not enough time playing the game.
See what you get played a game. John Calipari coach cal has a new player, the Kentucky Wildcats, who landed a front court player seven foot two zavanamir I VisiC I was like a tennis player out of Croatia, nineteen years old, seven foot two, headed to the Wildcats the eyes of Blue. Well, they've not been very good recently. As you know, they're rebuilding. Two they've been rebuilding for ten years. That's a good point. Rebuilding. They get, they got more guys. Well, you know they're hurt.
I mean, I don't understand right now, Abbott. Why didn't David Bell give him a day or two more rest? He looked winded on the mound. But I tell you one thing, he gave up that home run. I think in the what was it that made it three to one or something, he gave up a home run and it looked like he got the
you know, the rump because he struck out the next three guys. And I mean when he comes in with that that pitch, Willie, that you mastered in Baseball Heaven and on the mound at the park where it comes around and it slides right in. I mean the Cubs are just looking at it last night, going what was that? I think they need to skip him a start or two because as indicate now what they're gonna do is shut down Abbot for the rest of the year. Would you care to comment on that.
I don't know. We'll see what happens. It's all up to the rid. I don't know. I have no information at all on that at all. I gotta get down to the Reds game and I gotta find out what's happening in the locker room. Because you heard what the governor said about two hours ago. We're gonna go to the state bir he's at the State far Oh, why don't we do the show for the state bir Fir. He spoke to Governor but Hier of Kentucky. Yeah, about a Perth bridge.
Correct in the media, born in Kentucky, raised in Ohio, known as the Great American and he's see me, Carl Littner, No me, oh me John Barrett. And if that happens, call it the Great American Bridge. Now, he said, the Bill Cunningham Bridge, And I said, Governor, that's a little too nobody'd use it. What they'd be going off the right side. Yeah, they'd only beat that's right. You couldn't
use the left lane at all. So we'll see what happens. But how would the city leaders like after a peer of all and Scottie Johnson and Meeks and that crew. How would they respond if they had to, Well, they can't over it. They can't overrule the state. Right, it's the state Ohio. Mainly it's Kentucky. They can name it anything. They can name it the Segment bridge. I doubt that you were not born in Kentucky. The first breath I took was Kentucky air. Yeah, when I suckled
on my mother's breast, it was Kentucky milk. So let's see that. You're gonna have the ballpark named after you, John Barrett's office named after you, the home of Western Southern and and the bridge, I mean anything else? What the river named after you? Can't say you want the interstate named after you? And by the way, the river is but what it mean? How come they don't name anything in Kentucky after you. It's always in Ohio. It's gonna be the bridge you full of the bridge. Yeah,
but that's both. The Ohio River was much skinnier and by the way, not in its present location. In eighteen o three, it was like a creek that was much yes, really, until the dam's happened. The Ohio River often would go all was fallow, almost dry before the dams. I'd like to see that these days, to see what's underneath their baby. The Ohio boundary, right, is that the eighteen o three high water mark of the Ohio River. So they've done geologic research and discovered they're going to name
that after you. Two, The first hundred feet of the president Ohio River is really owned by Ohio. Okay, wasn't named the Ohio River when Kentucky was a state. Well, they already named the Kentucky River. You can't have two of them. We don't have to change names. But well, the Kentucky Rivers in Kentucky, I know the Ohio Rivers the Ohio River. And oh, that's true. You're right about that. I don't know what to tell you. We got a crisis developing about naming the Damn Bridge after
me, and whether or not the Democrats would find that objectionable. Government about the Cunningham McConnell bridge. Where was he he wasn't he born in Philadelphia? No? You mean Mitch McConn Yeah, Well, he freezes up at critical moments. Think of the leadership we have in this country. Mench McConnell, Diane Finds Time, John Fetterman, and Joe Biden put those four in jeopardy. That whatever buzz in. Then I forced myself a little bit to watch
that interview with the Vice president. Not good, not good. I could do that gig more than her. How about the softball is given by Yes News. Oh awful, awful? You can't watch it. No, it's like propaganda, right, it's propaganda, and we we're not consuming it like we used to. I know anything on HB today Hunter Biden is he is he is he? Okay, didn't do nothing? Oh talking to it. Remember in the movie uh, good Fellows, Yeah, Paulie, Paul the
leader. Yeah, only one person spoke to Paul and then that one person told everybody what to do. Right, That one person who spoke to the head of the family was Hunter Biden. He'd speak to Daddy, the big guy. The big guy would just whisper and Hunter's ear and suddenly deals were made all over Romania, Moscow, Russia, Ukraine and Barisma and China. And now that it's known the media, you know the lead story. Last night I'm watching to see okay, got Devin Archer laying out the whole scenario
tens of millions. The big guy would get a call from a hunter with his business associates, play golf together, fancy food, fancy wine, and the big guy would just nod his head, much like Paulie and the good Fellows. Yeah, and then money would exchange hands for the hookers and for the crack cocaine, and away you go. That's the way our country is
run. So would you vote in November of next year for the Republican candidate under one hundred and four account indictment out on bond or a corrupt old guy named Joe Biden? Those zero choices? You know what? By then I'd probably write myself in can you do that? It would not be counted, you would not be an official candidate. Some of that I just saw they just put up on the screen here on Fox that the Trumpster leads fifties four
to seventeen percent over the rest of them. And it's like and most of these people at the at the bottom has got about as much chance as me. Well, all are you is? We are in trouble? Can I vote you? Yes? Putting me in? Okay? But if the bridge is named after me, I look forward to all hell breaking loose? Would you in more ways than one? I can see the Democrats in this town ofving projectile vomiting plus explosive diarrhea. Jeez, it'd be issue one renamed the
bridge calling something different, yes versus no segment? Give me out of the students report? Will you not full day? You were in a tray, stayed in the reds, hopefully making it two in a row over those cubbies tonight. In fact, I said, went on this road trip. If they go five and five in those ten games, they're four and three right now. Right now, they're four and three. If they win one of the next three, which is almost a guarantee, there'll be five and five
back home in first place. We leave you with the immortal words of the stutt Report, part of Tom But as he was clearly losing the war in Iraq and pouting the war at home, and he is hcome a bit of a brier around the world, data Hole, someone needs to tell Biden that Putin is not losing the war. In about a half an hour or so, we should have a better ren on what's happening with the Red Legs. I kind of doubt they're going to make a big splash in the trade market between now and
six pm. I kind of doubt it, but who knows. There's speculation everywhere about Justin Verlander, but that main speculation centers on Atlanta and used him with one or two wild cards, or the Reds a wild card. We're going to find out in the next three hours and fifty minutes to see where they are. But I don't think the Reds need. It'd be great to have Justin Verlander. I'd be wonderful, and they have the money now with
all the extra attendance. I can only imagine this weekend how busy the Red Legs are going to be if they win two of the next three or sweep the Cubs and put them out of it completely. With the Reds can do. Their such an interesting, provocative, hard working ball club, they need some arms more than they need anything, especially with their second basement out with plant or fasciitis. Will see what happens to him down the road, But
nonetheless, it's going to be exciting to see what occurs between now. Plus, according to some personnel who have seen Joe Burrow walk around, there's no crutches, he's not on a boot and not on one of those wheeled devices. He seems to be walking a little gingerly, but walking. And so the speculation by some you might recall dot Kremchek said in the beginning, one to three weeks, and that appears to be the situation one to three weeks
according to Matt Reese. But we'll see exactly what happens down the road with Joe Burrow and whether it's going to be a problem. Many have said he doesn't need much of summer camp because he's not had a summer camp but the very first year, and after that the Bengal stunk for the first part of his career. Now they're among the favorites to win the Super Bowl. See what happens there. And thirdly, when I said to the segment about a
half an hour ago. The choices and the big election next year. It's going to be on one hand, the Republican nominee who's out on bond with something like north of a hundred counts of felonies against him, against an aging eighty one eighty two year old whose, shall we say to be kind, is not mentally alert. Those are the two choices we got. I caught
some serious flack about completely supporting Donald Trump. But the fact matter is, I've told you this, I'll say it all through the election, which I anticipate now that Trump is going to be the nominee of the Republican Party because there's no requirement. He stepped aside once you're indicted and out on bond. But there's a large number of suburbanites in America that do not pay much attention
of politics, believe it or not. The twenty percent or so that listen here is pay attention on fifty five KRC, even on some of the PBS stations. Maybe twenty five percent of all Americans pay attention to the news. That means seventy five percent of us who vote don't pay much attention to the news at all. They're living that. Some are so disgusted with politics they
say they can't take it. I have a few friends of mine, especially female friends, who say they don't read the choir, they don't look at the website. Sadly, they only listen to me, but not to the rest of talk radio, and they don't pay much attention to the websites. When I talk about Newsmax or Fox or Bright part or Daily Mail or Daily Caller or RealClearPolitics dot com where I spend my time, they don't pay attention to that at all. They know Trump's the president and that's about it.
They don't watch five nine, twelve nineteen. They don't watch it. Good chunk of the American people either don't pay attention or don't care. And they are the ones who decide the outcome of elections. Recently, in twenty sixteen, for example, one that Donald who had his fame in real estate development and the Apprentice, was running fresh for office. The twenty percent who decide elections, who said is the election this Tuesday or next Tuesday? When is
that exactly? I'm not sure they had a positive impression of Donald Trump from his TV gigs and his appearances and all the articles written about him that were generally very positive. You might recall that even MSNBC and Joe Scarborough, who's completely lost his way, would spend time with Donald Trump. With him on MSNBC, he was, believe it or not, a new name, a new fresh the political world. So those twenty percent said, you know what,
Hillary Clinton, I just don't been around too long. He had the top secret information on the server. The director of the FBI, James Comby, said that all that top secret information was accessed by the nation's foreign enemies. And they said just barely, just barely got over the hump and said, yeah, let's vote for Donald Trump. That was twenty sixteen, and seven of the eight presidential elections, the Democrat has easily won the popular vote,
which makes it much easier to win the elector or college. The only time that hasn't happened is twenty four when Bush forty three got one hundred thousand more votes across the country and John Kerry. So it's quite rare for Republican to win a national election. It's difficult. Even when Trump won, he lost a popular vote by two three million. That means he had to thread the needle through Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Georgia had to just barely win,
just barely get over. So by twenty twenty, after relentless negative media attacks on Donald Trump, the majority unjustified, great majority unjustified that the American people said that Joe Biden, you know, Grandpaul, Joe, he's the guy. He'll bring normalcy back to Washington. My god, was at a mistake, but he won. Also the five hundred million dollars from Zuckerberg didn't hurt either. A year out, the powers that be in tech and in the
national media said, sync the Bismarck. No matter what it takes, we can't let the Donald have a second term. So they recruited literally a half a billion dollars from Mark Zuckerberg to pay off thousands and thousands of volunteers and Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Georgia and Arizona fifteen bucks an hour to sign up all these new voters with dropboxes, etc. No signature match, and have compliant secretaries of state that would not scrutinize the ballots very closely.
And at the end of the day, Uncle Joe, Grandpa Joe won to bring normalcy. He didn't have to campaign. It was like in a drive in movie theater. It was ridiculous. They elect someone mentally incompetent to the presidency and since then has gotten worse. And the Biden family said, you know what, Now that Joe's not the vice president, he's not the president in waiting, this guy's actually in charge. He's oh my god, he's in control. So Hunter then maximized the inside dope he could get from his
business partners, knowing he could become rich. Hunter Biden is was and will always be a crackhead, paying hookers for sex on video and bribing large numbers of people. Now that we know because of the testimony yesterday from Archer that his father knew all about it all along at least twenty telephone calls made during these business meetings, So the business partners knew that Hunter had complete access to
the top of the US government. So when Barisma won at the local prosecutor in Kiev to be fired, it was up to Joe Biden to withhold a billion dollars and a loan guarantee to Ukraine until Barissma paid hundred five million and Joe Biden five million and when the mayor of Moscow, Russia made a four million dollar quote loan to Hunter Biden to give to Joe, that was Russia
bribing the Bidens. The Bidens had been bribed all over the world. And now that we have evidence and proof based upon what happened yesterday, I knew the media is not serious and what they're doing. Devin Archer gave the roadmap. The laptop from Hell is still available with the IRS, had it since December of twenty nineteen, but didn't want to look at it. Why because all of them in general hate Republicans and in specific despised Donald Trump, so
sync the Bismarck by whatever means are necessary. And I knew how the media would deal with this. I got a call yesterday from somebody from Mason that said, this is going to be a game changer. With Devin Archer's testimony, a business partner of the Bidens. He talked about all the telephone calls made to Joe Biden while sitting as the vice president and then also out of office getting ready to run. This is going to be the final straw that
breaks the Campbell's back. I said, well, let's see tonight at six thirty. You got ABC, NBC and CBS with some twenty five million viewers, And of course it's always a weather forecast to begin in order to continue the lie that man made global warming is causing massive climate change. That is
a lie lie. But I said, now, look if the national media and the headlines of the New York Times, the headlines in the Inquirer, the Washington Post all about bombshell testimony from a partner from the inside about all the money that the Bidens receive. If that's the lead story on NBC, Lesterholt, CBS and norah'donnell and ABC with David Muir, and I watch them all simultaneously, so you don't have to. If that's the lead story, we're in business. What do you think was the lead story? What was
the base thing that happened yesterday in America? It wasn't Devin Archer laying out the bribery scheme executed by Hunter Biden on behalf of the big guy, Joe Biden. No. No, the big story was Pee Wee Herman's death. When back in time about all pee Wee Herman didn't pay attention to Pee Wee Herman in life didn't spend much attention to Pee Wee Herman and death. I think her name is Paul Paul Rubles. He died unexpectedly at the age of seventy. That was the big story. Pee Wee Herman, who I think
had some scandals here and there. I don't want to recall them, but nonetheless they were terrible. So America determined that Devin Archer laying out the roadmap of the corruption of our federal government for profit and for money was not a big deal at all. It was just in two of the three newscast it was on, but it was buried in about a minute piece in the middle of the broadcast. And when I look at the headlines today, there's headlines
know where that truly matter anywhere about this bombshell testimony. The headline of the Drudge Report right now is indictment watch looming January six charges against Trump, the Don's campaign finances trained as legal peril mounts that after legal fees, his pack is nearly broken. Piers Morgan twenty twenty rematch would be criminal almost literally.
Now. One thing that we've always done in our great society is that the next presidential administration has never looked backwards and said, how do we indict the
former president? How do we indict those around him? No one's ever done that, despite ample opportunity to do so, specifically after Bill Clinton office, Bush forty three could have had more special prosecutors Ken Star, etc. To go after Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, call in the grand jury, issues a poenis to all the aids, all the assistants, all the secretaries, all the property managers, and launch a two year investigation into the lies,
the crimes, and the sins of Bill and Hillary Clinton. It would have taken forever. The media would have gone nuts and attacked George Bush for doing that, but Bush said, you know what, we got to move on. Let the history of books determine it. And when Obama left office and Biden left office, is VP there sits Donald Trump. He was advised by some to go after them for all the sins and crimes they committed, especially Joe Biden, who monetized the vice presidency and was a crook like no other.
But not even Donald Trump would do that. He said, well, we got important matters to attend and the Democratic Party quickly tied down. Donald Trump would lies through the fies accord to make it difficult to recruit good people. And in history there's always been circumstances where the succeeding president could have gone after the previous guy and for two or three years with FBI and grand jury subpoenas and leads to the media create all this ugliness. But no president has
done that this side of Joe Biden. And make no mistake, Joe Biden is indicting Donald Trump. Joe Biden is indicting Donald Trump to make it more likely he'll be the nominee of the Republican Party because of the anger, but less likely he'll win the presidency and keep Joe Biden in power. That's the truth. Few people talk about it, but I just said it. That's what's behind all this. So we'll see some time today tomorrow if the January
six charges come. Never before as the current president caused the indictment of a previous president's ever happened before, and now it's going to happen again. If the Republican wins in twenty twenty four, guess what they're going to go after Joe Biden and Kamala Harris and all the members of the present Biden administration and Hunter Biden, and it's gonna break the rule that this is something you don't do, you can't do. Let's continue if a line becomes available, which
it never does. Five one, three, seven, four, nine, seven thousand, let the games begin, Built Cunning in the Great American Live at Home of the Reds, who are unbeatable on news radio seven hundred ought of summer clearance logan ath and heats. So what was totally irresponsible, But the fact that you had some what they've informed me not to speak of this issue to any way try to prejudice the investigation that's coming on. Oo.
Hello, I'm broadcasting. How many classified documents did Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden have illegally? No? But you remember what was said, It was, Oh, that's old news, Bernie Sanders. I'm tired of hearing about your damn emails. It's tired of hearing about that. Let's move on and tell us how to move on. That Vans Trump, he moved that box. That box moved right there. To hell with the money from Barisma a million. He moved a box, and he tried to destroy his own server.
We can't have that, can't have it. Get in a box. So, I mean, the only thing that really came out yesterday with the Devin Archer hearings was they're basically now admitting that business dealings was discussed after like a year of saying it never was well discussed. But it was about the way about the weather, who's in the world series issue? If you were in a major meeting, right, a big time meeting, would you a ever think about calling your dad? And if you did, would you talk about
the weather? How's it? Justin? Would you? If you did that, it would probably be for a damn good reason, right, And if in that position got that call of the first time, you'd call your boy back about it two hours and say, hey, Hunter, don't put me in this position making your business calling the White House. That's not the way.
We don't know. He was receptive, he said, yeah. Remember there was some scenes some Good Fellows, one of my favorite movies, where Paulie, the head of the family, never talks, He never taught. He just lifted his chin and he had that big fat guy yeah and whisper whisper in his air that that's kind of like me and you, Yeah, the big fat guys. Yeah. But all I can say is I knew
it was nothing of importance because I'm watching the nightly news last night. I'm thinking, Okay, if what Devin Archer said is really going to be picked up by the media, has man, sub bribery, extortion, and also seditious behavior, it'll be a lead story. What was the lead story on two? I's going to get indicted tomorrow on something else. Two of the three was pee Wee Herman, the death of Pee Wee Herman, I said, And then it was weather about thunderstorms. I said, Okay, you
can get away with it. If you're a Democrat. It doesn't matter. And so I said to the segment, and this is why he caught some flak. I did next November. The choices might be between a Republican inded it with a hundred counts of felonies out on bond literally or a dysfunctional, mentally ill president who takes bribes. Those are the choices. Unwilling. I can't believe it. I only in America. In I guess you hope people would just vote on who they thought did the best job. I'd vote for
Trump and a heartbeat over over those two because he's out on bond. Shore, and he's gonna be convicted, I'm certain of a whole bunch of felonies. But he'll get work release and he can still doing to talk about. Yes, he can pardon himself, not now in the state charges up. Can you see him on trial in Atlanta City. But it'd be good four years for us, right stuff to talk about every we'd cover the trial live.
Yeah, I say I got a gift that when I got the night show in twenty fifteen, that was right as that was ramping up, and there was stuff to talk about every night. For about about two and a half years, I did that. Yeah, I know we have out on bond or taking bribes. Those are your two choices. So I'm just a redheaded old guy. I don't know. I don't know the answer to that good point. What was that kid's name? His name was Butch, Butch. I like that name. But and big guy. He's big than you.
And he said and at sant X on the reserve, that old man with the red hair, right, I thought he'd said, I know rocky boyman. I said, you know a rocky boyman. He said that the old guy with red hair standing by coach spect. I said, that's him right there. That's some the old guy. And that took a little both shots my ego. Well, you're at forty you're getting old dinner three forty three, you're getting real old. Yeah, she's you're right. Well,
you're like, what twenty eight years older than him. Yeah, at least he knows who you are. I went to if we went to the first time he was born, if we went to the same thing with the park, you think Calvin Johnson would know. No, I mean just students today of course. Yet glad hand, you gotta know who he is. You know, you got the school's like located on Bill Cunningham Boulevard at Bill Cunningham Drive, and he got what one statue out front? A large one?
Yeah, So I mean anyway, they walked by it every day, rubbed head. Yeah. A couple of weeks from Friday, Roger Staubach and I will be at Purcell what dedication of the new field, Yes, playing deer Park, wire park. V person about that and got their midfield as we are you get out real quick. I don't know about that, but I have great respect for Roger the dogs respect. Talk about Tom Brady, the first Tom Brady was Roger who said, you know what, I committed to
five years in the Navy. And even though I'm a Heisman Trophy winner, and even though I have this deal with the Cowboys, I'm not gonna ask for dispensation. I'm going to the Navy for five years and handle a pt boat in Nama. Now, how many players today you know what? Zero? Imagine? Nah? Nah, I'm one of the top draft picks. No, it was number number Just take the number one or two quarterback.
And he said, no, I committed myself to five years to five years, got out twenty seven years old, and then won two Super Bowls. What about Ted Williams was in the middle of a Hall of Fame career, decides to go indoor. War two fights, flies, planes, bombers, missions, comes back, convenes, It goes back to the Korean War. What do I know? What I mean? Is Homer Green going to pitch anymore? Uh, He's supposed to be here in a couple of weeks, Lodolo at the end of the month. And I heard that Joe Burrow, a good friend of Rocky Boyman, is not using crutches, correct a walking boot or anything.
Is that true? Rock? What do you is what was reported to us on our show yesterday by James Rapine that he was seen in the locker room correct with just sleeve on, no crutches, none of those little limp trolley things where you put your knee on, and was walking with no limp. Of course, this past weekend there was a huge pickleball tournament at Sawyer Point. Thousands and thousands of desperate pickleballers came to Cincinnati to play pickleball. And I was introduced to the sport about three years ago in Naples, Florida,
which is the capital of the world when it comes to pickleball. And now all the tennis courts are being changed to pickleball courts all over the place, and it's unbelievable. Joining you and I now is a Gary lessis under the leadership of Alvin Rore. He is the grand man, the president of Sawyer Point Pickleball, who I had on a couple of years ago. Gary, Welcome again to the Bill Cunningham Show. Since we last spoke, what's
happened to pickleball? It has blown up? Willie Since twenty fourteen, We've had four times the number of players eighty six percent growth from twenty twenty one to twenty twenty two. Eight point nine million players are playing in twenty twenty two. The largest growth has been in the twenty four years of aging younger demographic segment. Interesting, Billy. In twenty ten, the average age of a pickleball player was seventy one years old. In twenty twenty one, the
average age is thirty eight. And I'm watching certain off channel ESPN's Sports, and I'm watching younger men and women playing each other. There's mixed couples in ten years. Could this be like tennis? Like Roger Federer, Djokovic, Alcatraz, those kind of guys. Could this take the place at tennis? Absolutely, Billy. The goat in women's pickleball right now is a sixteen year
old young lady. The goat in men's pickleball is twenty six year old gentleman by the name of Ben Johns, and it is blowing up down at Sawyer Point. If you recall we last met before the courts were converted to pickleball. We had some overlaid courts and badly cracked courts that needed much attention. Since that time, five hundred and eighty thousand dollars has been spent in renovating this your point courts five hundred thousand dollars in city funds and eighty thousand dollars
in private donations through our fantastic Cincinnati Parks Foundation partner. Well, I'm thinking I hope the tennis tournament at Mason, King's Island Western and Southern Tennis Open goes on forever. I've heard rumors in the background may have some difficulty because of that. The rich guy in the Carolinas, and I suggested to the powers that be get Gary lessis involved and pickleball is that's all your point, which is a big deal. Why not pickleball at Mason Would that draw hundreds
of thousands a desperate devotees? Yes, Willie, they don't need me. They've already thought about pickleball at that facility. So we now have Mason, the state of Ohio, pitted against the Charlotte folks who can provide the best deal. The plans are to include pickleball and to include indoor pickleball, so that whatever facility wins, whether it be in Charlotte or in Mason, pickleball is included in that project. And I see the shopping centers that are largely
vacant. So many people are online ordering that shopping centers may go the way of pickleball. I've seen condominiums in shopping centers with pickleball. Please explain absolutely well. As you know, because of online shopping, there are a lot of malls throughout the country that are becoming vacant, and enterprising people are putting that space to great use in getting the devotees, the crazy fanatics of pickleball jumping in and paying money. And they're going to convert many, many of
these facilities. In the indoor pickleball facilities. Why, I'd have to ask. I mean, it's not paying hong, it's not paddleball, and it's not tennis. Somewhere in between ping pong and tennis. You're a devotee. Why is it a big deal? Well, I'll tell you what hooked me, Willie was the group play that we have twelve times a week at Sawyer Point, every day from eight to noon and Monday through Friday five till ten.
People can come anytime during that time and jump in and play. You don't have to solve the Rubik's Cube of is my friend gonna be a bit? You play golf, Willie, and you know how difficult it can be at times getting three other people signed up to play at this location at this time on this day. You can just come on down and play and jump in. So we're averaging now over one hundred and ten people per session, twelve sessions a week. Unbelievable. Well, I didn't think this would ever
happened when I first saw pickleball about ten years ago. I thought it was a large ping pong game. You got to stay out of the kitchen. That's the key, and younger, younger folks are playing well Gary, We'll see what happens. What's the next big event at Sawyer Point? Under the leadership of Alvin Roor, our next big pickle ball event will be the Monster Smash relating to Halloween the end of September. So we're gonna have a multi
day tournament September twenty, ninth, thirtieth and October one. It's going to be a big event, a big local tournament, and we're gonna have a lot of fun down at Sawyer Point. How many millions of dollars of economic activity. Hotels will be packed and stacked, men and women will be going nuts. The boathouse will be crowded. And how much economic impact did the
event have over the past weekend. Yeah, So we had the app Tournament, a professional and amateur tournament in May, and we had this for day tournament this past weekend. It's estimated through Visit Cincinnati that those two combined they yielded more than five million dollars in economic impact in the greater Cincinnati area. It's fun to do. You get in shape, it's quick, You're over within an hour. Don't twist too many knees, don't break too many hips.
Gary Lessis, you're a great American. I call you the president El presidente. I've saw your point pickleball. And once again, thank you for coming on the Bill Cunningham Show.
