It's impossible. This is all a miurage. If the Reds are not in first place, somehow they're in last place. They've only won thirty five games, like last year at this time, none of us awakened. They've won fifty ball games. They're in first place. It's unbelievable. So everyone back out at on Friday for the brew Crew in town. We're gonna broadcast live from the Holy Grail starting about three pm. Gonna be with you from three
pm until at least midnight on Monday. I'm sorry, on Friday of this week, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday they have a ten game homestand it's going to be fabulous. But until then, today at four o'clock is the end of a person registering to vote to be able to vote in the August
election. I think it's August eighth. And a person with perspective on this, plus Hunter Biden's love child and the fact the president ignores one of his grandkids, is Joe Biden a deadbeat Grandpaul joining you and I now is Jack Winsor at the Ohio Press Network dot com. And Jack Winsor welcome this Monday afternoon. And first of all, give me your perspective, and before we
talk about Hunter Biden, all that the grandkid. I see these signs popping up at least in Hamleton County, and I'm sure in Franklin County where you're located. About an issue one and August is going to be a threat to democracy because if we vote, that is a threat to democracy. Why is it not a threat to democracy if we're voting, Well, that's just it. Right. When this initiative passed the House, the Democrats were apoplectic.
They started shouting immediately. Folks that they invited to join them in the gallery
that day also started shouting one person, one vote. Well, the interesting thing is, have this not gone to the August eighth ballot, it really it wouldn't have been voted on. I mean, it's entirely democratic to give Ohioans a chance to come out and vote on August eighth to say do we want to keep the opportunity to amend the constitution at fifty percent plus one vote or do we want to elevate it to sixty percent, Which, by the
way, if we're going to use the word democracy, isn't that more democratic? Don't you want more people in favor. You want to broader consensus to change the Constitution, don't you. I mean, because the Constitution, when you change it, it's changed. It's not like you can go in with a piece of legislation and tinker with it. So I'll pause there because I know we'll dive into it more. But it's a strong misnomer. I think this one person, one vote in its anti democratic because the no side is
anti democratic. They call it a threat to democracy, so they are what they criticize. The Constitutional high has been amended like one hundred and seventy five times. The US Constitution has been amend to twenty seven take out prohibition, yes and then no. Really twenty five times in two hundred and thirty five years. But we do it willy nilly. And the difference is this.
If Tony Benner, living in Butler County wants to say, I want to propose the law that the lawmakers have not passed, something called the initiative process, which is making marijuana llegal, is available to Tony Benner, get the signatures, get it on the back. But a constitutional amendment ought to be profound, It ought to be serious. It is broad based. It is
a fundamental right, and this issue about the state issue one. An abortion is not it ought to be a fundamental right, but it ought to be subject to If it's into constitutions, it could be changed, such as at what time should the abortion take place? Are there circumstances? It might be different if this thing passes in August in a sense, if it means that's
it stays at fifty percent plus one, which is not broad based. That's why I emerging people to vote, vote yes, vote yes to make it sixty percent, which is broad based, which brings it more or less in line with the US Constitution. Please explain, Yeah, you did a great job. So Interestingly, if you want to pass an amendment, et cetera level, it takes two thirds, which is sixty six point sixty six percent of the Congress to enact an amendment. And then that's not the end of
it. It has to be ratified by three fourths seventy five percent of the states. So saying that sixty percent is anti democratic is just really it's just false. It's a red herring argument. But here's the other interesting part, Willie. I don't know if anyone has talked about this. When you get into the Ohio Democratic Party's by laws and constitution. Guess how much it takes to change their constitution. So the Ohio Democratic Party, which is a democratic
institution, has a constitution. I would assume it's fifty percent plus one, because that's what the Democrats are saying about State Issue one. Correct, fifty percent, sixty percent? It makes fifty percent. Now let's go over to the legal women voters. By the way, who's you know, vehemently opposing this their by laws? Do you think it requires sixty percent? I know,
I'm putting you on the spot. What do you think you think there's fifty I'm sure it's fifty percent plus one for the leg of women voters for their constitution. Correct, sixty six percent six But so then so then here, here's here's my two silly willy nilly arguments. Ready. Number one, If it's good for the goose, why isn't it good for the gander? So? Did you if an anti democratic? Why Democratic party? Are your by laws there? If it's anti democratic, why League of women voters?
Are your by laws and constitution there? And by the way, here's the hard question we should be asking if the November ballot initiative wasn't about abortion. What if it was about right to work and right to work being written into the constitution. Do you think these same groups would be as loud and vocal about its being anti democratic? No? No, no. All I'm saying is is that to amend the state Democratic Party its own constitution, take sixty
percent leading women voters take sixty six percent. I guess they're undemocratic then, right, the Democratic Party is undemocratic. Well, elitists are going to be elitists, right. They know better in the also want apply to them, and that really is where we're at. Elite us want to talk down. I'm sorry, Willie, you got me, you got me fired up. I'm going off the facts here and I'm giving you a lot of opinion. But yeah, it's it's not anti democratic. It's somebody saying, look,
if it's anti democratic here, it should be there. But in their minds, we know better and we're smarter, and so we can do things differently because we just have all the answers. I mean, that's how it comes off to me, and I think that's how it's going to come up to the average voter if they recognize that it takes that amount to amend those constitutions.
It kind of takes some mental gyrations to get to this point. But if you believe in republican systems of government through the democratic process, you have to vote yes onstead issue one because I would assume the League of Women Voters and the High Democratic Party are democratic, and as a consequence, if their own constitution is sixty percent or sixty six percent, sixty percent for the rest of us might be okay. Now, secondly, looking at your network,
the Ohio presid network dot com, and this is incredible. Jade Vance has a warning to Ohio colleges and Ivy League universities. Now what happened is about to what about ten days ago? The US Supreme Court said that racism has got to stop at some point. You can't keep adding, multiplying, subtracting, dividing by race. And the way to stop racism is stopping racism. So the Supreme Court said, look, can't consider affirmative action race anymore.
It's over with and we got to move on. And so as soon as that happened, the presidents of universities like Oberlin, etc. Put out missives and messages saying you know what, even though the Supreme Court said we can't consider race, We're gonna do it anyway. And then you have the dean of the law school, you Cal Berkeley, who I've had on my show two times. By the way, that guy said, from now on, we're not going to send an email about this. We're not going to send
a text inside our own heads. And this is a head of the law school. We're going to keep doing what we're doing. And when I'm in court and I'm sued over this, I'm simply gonna lie and I'm gonna say race had nothing to do with it. So you have absolute chaos when those in charge of colleges university is saying, well, even though US Supreme Court said I can't be a racist, I'm gonna keep doing it. So JD.
Vans got involved. Explain. Yeah. So, by the way, Willie, we shouldn't be surprised that Ivy League schools and even schools in Ohio Kenyon College and Oberland, as you said, might be trying an end around. You'll remember the Ohio Presnetwork published for reports that syndicated content, but it involved high schools around the state of Ohio where undercover people admitted, Hey, if they change the law or they change this, we're still going to do
the thing that we want to do. And that was with respect to critical race theory and in our schools. So we shouldn't all be surprised. But after that Supreme Court ruling came down, Kenyon College is president, Oberland Colleges president. They wrote letters and essentially in those letters, I mean, I can't do it verbatim, but to combine the theme, it's this, we're just going to unify, and we're going to push harder to be diverse, right to do the things that we think need to be done. Despite the
Supreme Court decision, and so JD. Vance said, Hey, the United States Senate is prepared to use it's full investigative powers to uncover and you're advised to retain admission documents in anticipation of future congressional investigations, including digital communications between admission officers, any demographic or other data compiled during future administration cycles, and
other relevant materials as you are aware. A number of federal criminal statutes regulate the destruction of records connected to federal investigations, some of which apply prior to the formal commencement of any inquiry. So he's basically saying, I hear you, and if you think you're going to circumvent, I want to let you know loud and clear that the United States Senate is prepared to investigate, and so we're going to request doct comments. And by the way, if you
destroy documents, that's a federal crime. Well, the dean of the law school at U cal Berkeley said went and asked about whether or not I considered race and admissions are hiring a new law professor. I'm simply gonna lie. I'm gonna lie under oath and a federal proceeding. And that's the attitude. And I can't imagine the Oberlin and Kenyon and maybe Ohio State changing it at
all. They're gonna not put it in writing, they're gonna have no records indicating what they've done, and if they take the lead of the dean of UCL Berkeley Law School, they're simply gonna lie under oath to a federal judge, as Bill Clinton did repeatedly with no recompense. And so I hear Jade Vance. I hope to get them on tomorrow or Wednesday to kind of put some meat on the bones. But assuming they don't want to follow the law, they're not going to follow the law, which reminds me Jack wins Or
of nineteen of nineteen fifty four with Brown versus Board of Education. When that decision came out, separate the eguals, throw out. The Democrats in the South said we don't care about that. We're gonna keep doing it anyway. And then it took Arkansas, it took many other places for the federal troops to arrive because the Democrats in charge of the South said, we will ignore Brown versus Board of Education. We're going to have separate educational facilities for black
kids. We don't want them educated. And so here we are what almost seventy sixty sixty nine years later, and liberal Democrats are interesting, We're going to ignore the US Supreme Court to continue to practice racism the past is provo. Yeah, it's really interesting. If you're on Twitter, if you're on Facebook, the way that I am, often one of the refrains I hear often is this Supreme Court is racist, right, or this Supreme Court is
it's illegitimate. And you know that's it's interesting to me that that's the response right, because I think there are women in blacks on that court, men people of color. I mean, it's it's it's really kind of comical if it weren't so sad. But you know, the other the other issue is, I think that what you've seen from the Biden administration from progressives for some time now, if anything smacks of conservativism, if it smacks of something um
that is tied to the Constitution, then that's illegitimate and that's radical. So there's always this rhetoric that goes on. And the sad part is I think some people pick up that rhetoric and use it as justification to break the law. Jack wins Or page three on this issue is of course hunter Biden. But to go back to what you said that if we want to eliminate racism, then that's racist. That's the It's like animal farm. It's I'm watching this. I'm gonna wait a minute. If you get rid of racism,
is that racist? And the Democrats would say absolutely, by eliminate racism, that's racist. Can they sell that not? I see many of African Americans saying we can compete, that the children of African Americans do quite well when applied in school and going to classes and taking tests, etcetera. They do quite well. I think the kids of Chris Smitherman are like nuclear engineers, and he requires excellence and he gets it. But how do they get away
with saying that when you eliminate racism, that's racist. I don't think they do. Willie. I think that you know, there are the coasts in this country, and then I think there's flyover country, and I think the average American is done with affirmative action. And I don't think that means with what the progressives will tell you they want it to mean, which is that you're racist. I think it means that people are tired of relying on melan
instead of merit. They're tired of relying on skin color instead of character. And by the way, if you use that quote for Martin Luther King Junior about the content of your character, then your you know, your pigeonholed is alt right or you know, neo whatever, neo Nazi. And yeah. So so here's here's the deal. There are two types of people. There's
there's elitists and there are the elite. The elite are you turn on a red baseball game and you see Ellie Baylor Cruz steal three bases and two pitches. That kid's elite. And you know what, I would imagine that there are people like him that also realize that in order to be the best, it has everything to do with your output, not your skin color, right, not anything else. What you put in and what you get out. Those those people are elite in elite people, they don't they don't worry about
the stuff that elite is s worry about. Elitists want to make you think they're better than you, and they want to beat you over the head with well, it's about your skin color, it's about X, Y and Z, and that's the difference between the elite and the elitist. And I think that the elite and the average American are looking at the elitist sin going now, man, I'm good. I would rather rely on my output. I would or rather have the content of my character considered more than the color of
my skin. And I think that, you know, the polls are starting to show that. But the elitists are going to be elite, and they're going to be loud, and they're gonna be vocal, and they're probably gonna be rambunctious leading into twenty four election, probably in Jack Winsor. So if you quote Martin Luther King Jr. You're a white supremacist and if you want to eliminate racism, you're a racist. Well, I sit here and I'm going anyway. The Ohio Press Network dot Com and your stuff's great. We
haven't got into Hunter Biden. Don't have time. But when you deny your own daughter, when you're the president and you're a deadbeat granddad and want to ignore the four year old girl who is your granddaughter, that is despicable. For political purposes, I guess Joe Biden does that. I think politically, who cares about politics? That's my flesh and blood. And I want my little four year old granddaughter to know she's a Biden. But Joe and Hunter
Biden can't have that for political purposes. So much for family values and Jack Winsor once again the Ohio Press Network dot Com. Great stuff or two you every day, it's good stuff. And once again Jack Windsor, thank you for coming on the Bill Cunningham Show. Thank you Jack, thank you, Willie. God bless you, God, bless America. Let's continue with more. Do not quote Martin Luther King Jr. That means you're a white supremacist.
How do they get away with it? Bill Cunningham News Radio seven hundred WLW no Dutch basion. The Civil War ended in eighteen sixty five, one hundred forty three years later, the less Civil War widow died. Martie Hopkins was nineteen when she married an eighty six year old Confederate veteran in nineteen thirty six. When Marty passed in two thousand and eight, she became the oldest known Civil War widow. No Dutch basion. Speaking of amazing check out Eddie
and Rocky. They have the fun times you're looking for after a long day. No that basion Eddie and rock this afternoon WLW of Tension business owners. Was your company impacted during COVID if you had w two employees during twenty and twenty? Does exist? You may have an opinion or a viewpoint that is contrary to reality. It maybe your reality. In fact, my wife often tells me, I live in my own reality. That is true. I
do in reality. Things do exist that are real, And the fact that you believe something exists or something as occurring doesn't make it real except in your own small mind. So I've often tried to form my opinions based upon known facts which are incontrovertible, so that I can have a coach and viewpoint I can express to you, maybe to change you to my way of thinking, or to solidify your opposition to my viewpoint, which happens all the time.
It is a rigorous examination of issues to determine whether or not it makes any sense at all what you're hearing. When it comes to the decision on affirmative action. The great majority of Americans oppose affirmative action, including African Americans often the beneficiary, because it just runs contrary to our notions of fairness. The color of one's skin should not be a cost to you or a benefit merits.
What should matter now, This soft underbelly of that argument is if you live in one of the urban areas controlled by the Democratic Party for anywhere between twenty and fifty or sixty or ninety years, the odds of you succeeding in that environment are quite rare, not because of the color of your skin, but because of the policies you're forced to live under. In some places like Chicago, it's even worse. At least Cincinnati is enveloped in Hamilton County and
that is part of the state of Ohio. But if you're a blue city with a blue zip code in a blue state, good luck. Chicago Tribune not exactly a conservative publication that a reacent stuff on inequality in Chicago relative to its black population. The majority of people in Chicago are not black. By the way, the majority of people in the city of Cincinnati are not black. It's about forty percent black, and it's about forty five percent white here
in the city and about ten or fifteen percent otherwise. And why would continue to count, add, subtract, multiplying, divide by races Another issue for another day. But those in charge, especially academics, like to keep statistics.
I like to have facts. One fact mentioned in the recent affirmative action case, which was by Supreme Court Justice Kntanji Brown Jackson, the newest member of the court, and she wrote in her opinion that was a descent that Supreme Court Justice Jackson has faced critical scrutiny for making a flawed claim about black infant mortality under white doctors or treatment by black doctors. In her dissenting opinion, she said, quote for high risk black newborns, having a black physician
more than doubles the likelihood that the baby will live and not die. Quote unquote. That essentially says that white doctors are not caring for high risk black newborns because of racism. And I read that, I said, that is completely absurd. Children's Hospital here in Cincinnati was just selected as the top children's hospital in America. Thank god it's here, and a good chunk of their patients or black newborns with a survivability rate equal or better than other kids.
The color of one skin doesn't matter. So she wanted to somehow show that to continue to practice racism, which is called affirmative action, you got to have more black doctors because white, those evil white people aren't going to save a black newborn. How absurd is that? But in her mind it's as I begun by saying, you may think something is real but it isn't. But if you express it in a position of power, someone may accept your
words as making sense. Contanji Brown Jackson is never going to be criticized at all by the mainstream media for anything. If a Clarence Thomas had made such a ridiculous and false statement, and the Supreme Court majority of minority opinion it would have been a very big deal. But because it's her, she gets
away with it. Jackson's claim that having a black doctor more than doubles the likelihood a baby will survive is false and misleading, and the study upon which it is based is also shown to be false because if someone once they define conclusion, you gather the facts that support your conclusion, irrespective of reality. The study makes no claims about black mortality improving by having a black doctor, and about the way I've gone to black doctors, I've gone to Muslim doctors.
I'll go to any doctor. I don't care. I want treatment, whatever it might be. The survivability rate of black newborns is zero point one three to zero point two percent improvement and survivability rates over a thirty year period in the state of Florida. In other words, well over ninety nine percent of black newborns survived, thank God, and more than ninety nine percent of white newborns survive, thank God. And it is getting better all the time.
But because Justice Jackson wanted to practice race discrimination in the future, she had to come come up with some a meekest brief that made some ridiculous false claim to justify her position. Likewise, city of Chicago, we have similar statistics. I'm going to do some work to find on the city of Cincinnati some facts. Chicago is almost exactly six times larger than the city of Cincinnati. Cincinnati has the city thereof has a higher homicide rate per rata than the
city of Chicago. So what these facts I'm going to give you about Chicago are not better in Cincinnati. In fact, here they're worse. The Chicago Tribune reported, over the course of six decades, more than forty thousand men, women, and children have been murdered in the city of Chicago, and more than one hundred thousand have been wounded. Listen to that number. Forty thousand black women and kids have been murdered in the city of Chicago and one
hundred thousand have been wounded. That's horrifying. Forty thousand, and by the way, it's accelerating. It's not getting better, it's getting worse. This article was written in relationship to Barack Husain Obama and Michelle saying how obscene it is that five rich white men were killed on that submersible when there's other issues
happening in the world, it would have been interesting. And I would assume that when Barack Hussain Obama and Michelle Obama actually lived in Chicago full time and by the way, raised two good kids and spend time as a community organizer, then elected to the State Senate, that he used all of his best talents in Chicago to improve a lot of those who put him in political office, beginning as a state senator, then getting elected to the US Senate and
to the presidency. I'd have to assume that Michelle Obama, also in the city of Chicago, where they spent about thirty five years of their adult life, used all their talents to improve the lives of kids in the city of Chicago, because, after all, their kids lived in the city of Chicago,
but of course went to private schools. Obama, both Michelle and Barack Hussaint Obama considered a recent story in the Chicago Sometimes said the following quote, violence in some Chicago neighborhoods puts young men at greater risk in being killed than US troops in Iraq and Afghanistan in war zones, in battle units, and those zip coats are headquartered and Senator Barack Usaint Obama's district, the risk of a man eighteen to twenty nine years old dying in a shooting in Chicago was
higher than the death rate of US soldiers fighting in battle units in Afghanistan or in Iraq, according to the Journal of American Medicine. Pretty good stuff, pretty accurate stuff, and went on to say from the twenty twenty two data going back fifteen years during the time, by the way Obama was in office, from the Illinois Department of Education, it found that in fifty five Chicago schools, fifty five Chicago schools with forty thousand students, ninety two percent of
black schools, no student. Let me try that again, No student out of forty thousand, zero students were proficient in math or reading. None. Now you would think that the party in charge of our major cities when it comes to education and violence would be standing on top of the world's greatest a Sears Tower or the great American town saying this has got to stop. We're responsible, we are in charge. The city of Cincinnati has not had a
Republican mayor for more than fifty years, a half a century. Haven't had one. Violence in the city is accelerating, Educational achievement is plummeting. The city of Chicago is not much different than the city of Memphis, Saint Louis, Baltimore, Los Angeles, Cincinnati, Columbus, Dayton. Can imagine sending your kid having a choice to Dayton Public schools, but specifically in the district's controlled by Barackusain Obama and Michelle Obama. In fifty five Chicago public schools comprising
forty thousand students, no student proficient and math reading none. Now you would think, other than conservative media, I consider myself libertarian more than conservative, that that would be a major problem that would cause a meltdown with the media calling out the hypocrisy of Democrats concerned like Obama with the death of five rich white guys as he calls them in a submersible, but not the run of the Mills student, whether it's an Avondale or the South Side of Chicago,
and the policies they live under. The dark underbelly of this is the Democratic Party is completely in charge in the city of Cincinnati or Dayton. Denny from Dayton tells me this, or Columbus or Cleveland or Chicago or Indianapolis. Just picked the city and the money being spent is totally obscene. And the city of Cincinnati is north of twenty thousand dollars per student, and I don't know about proficiencies. Trump is blamed, not enough money being spent, whatever the
excuse, but the policy those in charge are completely Democrats. Imagine being a black kid growing up in Washington, d C. In a Washington, d C. Public school and what you have to go through under the policies of the Democrat Party. They'll talk about Trump, They'll talk about January sixth, They'll talk about Iraq, talk about the southern border, talk about Governor Abbott and Texas, the putting the buoys in the middle of a river to keep
the illegals out. Whatever it might be, it ought to be. When Reverend Mingo's relatives are being gunned down at the age of eighteen in front of the Federal courthouse, a couple stories being done, Let's move on to the next story, till the next shooting, the next outrage. Why are the policies of the party in charge causing these events to transpire not held to account? One might ask the question, why is that? And part of the
reason is because failure is funded and not criticized. I would imagine in many schools and Cincinnati right now, or Covington or Dayton, you cannot receive an education of quality or not and urban public schools controlled by the Democrat Party. Could a Republican get elected to the school board and the City of Cincinnati CPS. I don't think so it's impossible can happen. But they have time to go after a bunch of crap and they don't go after the fundamental issue that
the more money we spend, the less result we obtain. So I want to thank the Chicago Tribune for this. I want to thank those who have studied the minority opinion of Chief Justice Jackson, who made a fool of herself. She'll never be called out for that. By the way, she says
essentially that white doctors do not care for black babies. That's the flip side of her saying out of some Amika's prief that's proven to be false that black doctors have a better survivability rate when dealing with black babies than white doctors, which is a bunch of crap. It's not true. It's been proven to be false, and the survivability rate for black kids well above nine. That's
not talked about either. But the leaders of the black community, people like Kntangi Jackson and also Barack who saying Obama, Michelle Obama, what did they accomplish in the city of Chicago for those they represent it? The answer is nothing, zero, raising false hope with nowhere to take nothing, just use those black votes to become multi millionaires and by coastal properties as Obama did twice complaining about global warming and losing the coast land when he's buying houses on the
coast. Kind of like Joe Biden, it's a game you're being played. You've been played for fifty years, and look at the results. It is awful. Let's continue. After one o'clock today will be Prosecutor Rob Sanders going to talk about a racial attack on Hispanics allegedly in the city of Covington, and also the fact that a Covington police officer killed someone. I know that Rob Sanders's comments may be a bit restrained because the investigations being conducted by Kentucky
State Police, but nonetheless I spoke with him off the air. He will make some comments about the course of the investigation when a Covington police officer was likely forced to kill someone because they did not comply, and the officers suffered some injuries according to some media outlets. But I think the comments of Rob's Sanders may be a bit restrained because of who's conducting the investigation, which is Kentucky State Police under the leadership of my good friend Frank Merritt. So we'll
see what happens. Step back and take a look at what's happening in our urban areas. The collapse of our great cities are right before us. Cincinnati. Want to look at what happened with Taylor Swift and the reds n FC and the West End. What's happening in the East End. There's some percolation of some good stuff going on, but that's because this blue city is in a red state and there's requirements the city has got to perform in order to
make it. According to the lawmakers in Columbus, the certain things city has to do against their will. But when you're a blue city and a blue state and you can't find a Republican with a search warrant, and Democratic politicians loot to treasury and lie to the constituency and use them as stepping stones to r office. Now you got real problems, including in California, which is
a thoroughly blue state. Now they've enacted laws on sentencing that a black criminal defendant in California will receive less of a prison sentence than a white criminal defendant because of race. I wonder what the black victims of those crimes think about that. Nonetheless, blue city, blue state, My god, are they
in trouble and the media should be the watchdog instead of the lapdog. But until then, there was a police shooting for the weekend and Covington. Of course,
Rob Sanders is the Missy Powers of Northern Kentucky. He's with us now and Rob Sanders, welcome again and the Bill Cunningham Show, and what can you tell us about the police shooting in Covington a couple of days ago?
And I assume the officers doing okay. But to get what facts, can you tell us if anything, Willie, There was an altercation in Covington a few minutes afternoon just yesterday where an individual who neighbors had called nine one one asking for police to respond and deal with because he was causing a disturbance in the neighborhood. That confrontation quickly turned violent and there was an altercation between this
man and the Covington police officer involved. And during that altercation, initially one shot was fired excuse me, followed by multiple shots. That subject was taken to University of Cincinnati Hospital suffering from gunshot wounds, where he ultimately died from those wounds. Is according to media accounts, this issue is being investigated by the Kentucky State Police because of local involvement. I assume the officer now is
doing okay. Did he suffer any injuries in the altercation to your knowledge, Willie? Well, first of all, Kentucky State Police is investigating because that's our normal protocol these days when it comes to officer involved shootings, especially ones that result in a fatality. Set standard protocol. The officer is off on paid leave at this time. I have not spoken to him because that's protocol as well. I don't speak to him until after he's been interviewed by Kentucky
State Police and the investigation is concluded. It's been reported in the media from I think at Kentucky State Police press release that the officer suffered bumps and bruises, scrapes, that sort of thing. But I really suspect from what I've seen that he may have suffered a concussion as well, or at LEAs so, I wouldn't be surprised if he suffered a concussion. But he is not seriously injured, not life threatening injuries. Ali, let's move on to page
two. I know your comments there have to be somewhat restrained. There was also a headline in media about a possible hate crime committed against Hispanics. Before we talk about a Democratic bill in California that would mandate judges in California to consider race when dolling out prison sentences that has passed by a wide margin in the General Assembly is going to be signed into law by Gavin Newsom. We'll talk about that in a moment. But what was that story about in Covington
about an Hispanic being robbed and possibly a hate crime. Well, this case, Willie, goes all the way back to January. There were two Hispanic males, both in their early twenties, who were shot during a street robbery in Covington. One of the victims died from his wounds. The other was
treated for a gunshot wound to the leg and survived. You haven't heard much in the media about the case until now because the two individuals who are arrested and charged with both murder and assault and robbery were two juvenile suspects at the time, one fourteen one fifteen year old. I believe one of them had a birthday, so it's now two fifteen year olds. They have been subsequently transferred to adult court to be tried as adults. That's they've now been indicted
by the Kent and County Grand Jury. That's why their names there is a mister mcmeans and mister Jones Snap are two defendants. Their names have been made public because they are being tried as adults. Given the serious nature of those crimes. Where this has a racial component to it or an ethnicity component to it, is that we believe the motivation for these robberies was tied to the race of the victims, because these individuals made rather racist assumption that Hispanics don't
have bank accounts and would carry large sums of cash. Now, I'm very careful about throwing around the term hate crime because I don't think or I haven't seen anything to make me indicate that these are making me believe there's any indication these two hated Hispanics. They just made the racist assumption that Hispanics carry large amounts of cash and would be unlikely to cooperate with police. Now that may
or may not be true. I think it's a gross assumption, certainly not one that I would make such a life or death decision on like these two morons did. But hate crime, also in Kentucky is pretty much a meaningless law. It gives judges the ability to deny probation or parole. It gives the parole board basis to deny parole. But they can deny parole or they can deny probation for any reason they want it. You know, it really doesn't add a single day to the sentence. It's not a crime in and
of itself. So really, all hate crime does in Kentucky is make more work for the prosecutors to prosecute them as hate crimes and really doesn't give us any benefit at the end. Nevertheless, in this case, I don't want people to get the wrong idea that I don't think the crime was perpetrated because of a hate for Hispanics. I think it was a misguided assumption about Hispanics having money and not cooperating with police. Yeah, and the other thing,
not too many robbers with guns have loved toward their victim. Practically every one of these crimes is a hate crime because you have hatred toward that person. You want to destroy that person, you want to take their money, their life or whatever, and so hate crimes after a little old lady walking down the street, it's not because they hate little old ladies. It's just because they think they're an easy target. You know that they're frail, that they're
small, that they can get their persuade them really easily. That doesn't mean that they hate little old ladies. But nevertheless, it's a crime of opportunity,
and that's what I think we have here now. Now. Lastly, I read with interest and I feel as if Joe Biden cannot be the nominee of the Democrat Party because he's mentally incompetent and at some point something's going to happen that's nonrecoverable, and that Gavin Newsom, the governor of California, represents the modern Democrat Party, and he's likely to be the nominee, maybe with your governor as the vice president candidate. Many I've read some national stuff.
How popular your governor is when it comes to national politics. I'm much sure how popular. Isn't in Kentucky, but nationally is pretty popular. I read this story out of Sacramento that Democratic Building California would mandate judges to consider race
when doling out prison sentences. It's past one house is ready to pass the other, and it's the intent of the legislature to rectify the racial bias that is historically permeated our criminal justice system, as documented by the California Task Force to study and develop reparation proposals to African Americans. Whenever the court has discretion, it must consider the race of the defendant, especially if an African American
of dissent, to determine whether a lighter sentence is warranted. And so the same person in Los Angeles or Sacramento can commit exactly the same offense and you see less of a satin as if you're black. How stupid is that? Actually? So let me get this straight, Willie, California is going to correct the evils of racism by giving different punishment based upon race. Yet seem to make a whole lot of sense. Yeah, I don't know. Maybe I failed that logic class that I thought I gotta be plus in back in
college. But nevertheless, doesn't make much sense to me. I thought justice was supposed to be blind. I thought it was supposed to be based upon the individual crime, the individual conduct, the individual's criminal history, that sort of thing. I didn't think we were supposed to look at skin color and decide whether that crime was better or worse based upon the skin color the defendant. Seems like we got our trouble, got ourselves into trouble as a country
by doing that several decades ago. Of course, none of those people are still alive, and none of those people alive now we're around back then. Nevertheless, I think we've done great things in America, in America about being more colorblind, not less color blind, or I'm sorry, I think I got that back we have a color blind Yes, we don't need to be
less colorblind. We need to be more colorblind. We've made great strides in the United States in terms of criminal justices and making punishments equal across the board based upon the crime committed and based upon the criminal history of the defendant committing that crime. We need to be moving in that direction. Continue moving in that same direction we have over the last several decades. Why liberal Democrats want to move away from that and want to be more racist, not less racist,
is beyond me. It's unstand Willie, But I tell you this. You know, if they want to take my governor right now, my current governor, and make him the vice president of United States, I'd be all for that because if he's anything like Kambala Harris, he won't do much of anything as vice president, will be much less of a thread to me here in Kentucky if we make him the vice president. So I'd be all in
favor of that. In fact, it might be Rob Sanders for Andy Bacher to leave the state of Kentucky. I want to share with the American people the actual language in California's quote. Whenever the sentencing court has discretion to determine the appropriate sentence according to relevant statutes and the sentencing rules of the California Judicial Council, the court presiding over criminal matter shall consider the despair an impact on
historically disenfranchised and system impacted populations. The footnote says African Americans have been historically disenfranchised for the last twenty years. Which political party has disenfranchised and impacted African Americans in California. That'd be the Democratic Party, So the Democrats the other one's doing it. I don't know, Willie. Maybe California hasn't heard.
I know, California is a long way from Washington, DC, But maybe they haven't heard about that Supreme Court decision that was just handed down where they told Harvard University and University of North Carolina that they're not allowed to make race based decisions in government. Maybe California hasn't heard that yet. Well, they want to ignore it because I'm gonna have Senator jd vance On later this week, and the statements of the university presidents and others connected to that decision is
that we're not going to pay attention to that. We're going to ignore that ruling. The dean of the law school you Cal Berkeley, in a class that was recorded, said we're not going to say it anymore in writing, We're simply going to do it. In other words, we're going to practice discrimination, which is called affirmative action, and we're if asked under oath whether we're doing that. According to a Dean Sharmanski, he said, we're gonna
lie under oath. If they can't prove it, We're simply gonna lie about it. And so we have nothing but chaos When the liberal the blue cities and blue states are saying that Supreme Court decision doesn't apply to us, we're gonna work around and ignore it. Isn't that chaos? My Twitter feed these days is populated by one story after another of a democratic official here or their big city, or governor or attorney general some Democratic state, all proclaiming that
they are going to ignore Supreme Court directive, Supreme Court precedent. They are going to ignore it and just view what they want. Can you imagine what the media would do if it were Republican elected officials proclaiming that they were going to ignore the Supreme Court of the United States of America. You want to talk about chaos. The media would be losing their minds going off on Republicans.
And how dare they ignore the Supreme Court? Right now the media talks about it is if it's like a feather in their cap or a mark of bravado. How these democratic elected officials are so brave that they are ignoring the Supreme Court and they're going to do what they want. And Supreme Court be damned. It's their opinion, the democratic opinion that counts, not the Supreme Court. That is chaos. I weep for this country if this continues.
Well, about seventy years ago, in Brown versus Board of Education, US Supreme Court ruled that's separate but equal is wrong. It's unconstitutional that black kids have got to receive the same education as white kids. And at that point I have the quotes of all these Democratic governors, generally in the South, that said, you know what, we're going to avoid that decision. We
don't think we have to follow that. And that began all the civil rights movements because Democrats about seventy years ago said you know what, we're not going to pay attention to the law. Here we are seven years later and the same Democratic party, which always talks about a threat to democracy, the same Democratic Party saying, you know what, we're going to ignore that, we're not going to pay attention to that. To me, it's the damnedest thing,
and the media doesn't cover it because it doesn't fit their agenda. You know what's screwed up, Willie is when it comes to this California thing and using race based sentencing laws. What's really screwed up about this is when they sentenced minority criminals. You know, I don't know black criminals, Hispanic criminals, whoever. They're trying to benefit from this crazy idea that they are going
to use race based sentencing. Those sentences aren't going to be overturned. The ones that are going to be overturned, the criminals that are going to benefit from this the most are all the white defendants. Because the white defendants are going to appeal. It's going to go spring court, and spring Court's going to say no, you can't do that, and they're going to throw out the sentences to those white criminals. Willing. I'm a prosecute. The only
person I'm prejudice against is a criminal. I don't care what color they are, and I don't want their sentences getting thrown out. Whether they're black, White, Hispanic, Asian, other, whatever other color, you can come up with. Their ethnicity, you can come up with. They're criminals, they ought to be in prison, they ought to be doing the crime. Are doing the time for the crime. That's what I want to do.
I don't care what their skin color is, but it's the white criminals, ironically, that are going to have their sentences thrown out if they go to the court and argue that they got a hef to your sentence, because they're not on my And I wonder what the black victims of crime think about this. Over ninety percent of the victims of black criminals are black. Over ninety percent of the victims of white criminals are white. And as a consequence,
you're telling black victims of crime and you don't count you're suffering. Isn't the same as some white victim of a white criminal. This is crazy, but it passes because of the reparation's movement. This is a reparation and to me, my god away in trouble. When law enforcement officials ignore the law and ignore the US Supreme Court and say we're gonna do what we want to do
pretty sad, But you're exactly right, Willie. That's, you know, the unfortunate thing is the one class of citizen who absolutely gets lost in all this mix and all this debate about skin color and criminal justice system. The one class that gets lost is the crime victims. And again doesn't matter what color of their skin is. What matters is that they were unfairly and unjustly made the victim of crime. Nobody chooses to be a victim of crime the
same way nobody chooses their skin color and shouldn't be punished for it. Well, people shouldn't be punished because they've been made a victim of crime by a criminal. Yet, that is the class of citizen that is concerned that the media is concerned least about. That is the class of citizen that loses right for the fastest. That's the class of citizen that we need to remember when we put our foot down and say no to things like race based sentence.

two h v A c sparts Willie. The New York Post has learned that the Yankees are hiring former Red's great Sean Casey as their new hitting coach. Dylan Lawson dismissed Sunday after his second season as a hitting coach of the Yanks. Has he ever done that before? Casey has strong ties with Aaron Boone and Tim Narring right and yep and VI and the Yankees VP of Baseball Operations,
Tim Naring. Boone and Casey were, of course teammates from nineteen ninety eight to two thousand and three when Naring was the Reds player director of player Development. How about this? Looking for Sig was good talking to him too. I thought it was the MLB network. What happened with that? Oh? I guess season, I guess that's put on hold. I'm not gonna be a Yankee. How about this, Anthony Rizzo's hitting one sixty eight no homers and seven rbi since hurting his neck in a collision, and Aaron Aaron
Judge has been out. Yeah, Stanton is hitting two h three. I think Sean Casey's there's not a nicer man in all of baseball than Sean Casey. I agree with that, wholehearted, A nice guy. Who's better? Eric Davis or Ella Ellie de la Cruz, Who's better right now, both wearing number forty four, Willie, I have to stay on that one.
I'm gonna ask Jose about that. What was Sean Casey's all time hitting percentage in his twelve major league seasons. Dave knows all about this. Oh no, I can't remember that one. Three h two well, and you might recall Pete Rose hit three h three, Willie. Of course, it's the all start breaking. Our Red Legs are atop the National League Central Division by one game over those Brewers. We were they last year at the same time. Um, I think it was about they had at least fifty losses.
I know that, and they were out of it. Well three and twenty two start, they were done, Dunn done. Done. The first couple of weeks or the first month, end of April, they were done. That's a different about that, and I do that's a different issue. Tr built it, we paid for it. We keep it correct. That's the end of that. Don't like it, but that's
the way it is. Now, what questions we do ask Jose Rio about Ellie Dela Cruz. Oh boy, I mean that what he did stealing second, third and home the other day, Willie was absolutely remarkable, high leg kick coming to the plate. Here till third base, Ellie Dana Cruise roll without even a throw like the third baseman brought that was coming home. Can
you see they threw the ball back to the pitcher. He fell asleep with the ball and as well, and day La Cruise took off from third base into home and he steals home while the picture tries to unload the ball of the plate. Couldn't you get it to the catcher in time? And day La Cruise has simply stolen a run all by himself. How about that? An RBI bass hits and the picture just completely completely dejected, paying no attention.
And Dayla Cruz the whole time was watching him dancing down the line and then he took off and they had no chance. Wow, say, can I share you much? Kind of like the speed you had at the park. Right according to Gordon Veterino, right, I stole one hundred and five basses one year for Thomas's funeral home. There your motto was we will bury you right. Unbelievable, Andy Mack. How about this from Danny Erons. He Rose also stole three basses in one inning on May eleven, eight,
nineteen eighty, but it was against the Reds. According to Dan Arons, what was he with Montreal or Philadelphia? Then I guess, I guess, I guess Philly, Philly. But three basses in one inning, now that's according to Dan Aarons, who's a baseball historian. Well, you got out, he got the second, and then he steals third day. I don't think the guy even looked at Why do you, why do you like, you know, look at him and check him. I don't think the pitcher
even looked at him. And he takes off for third, No throw Philadelpha, and then whammo tricked him. He tricked him when he brought his hair. He was ninety five percent down the line when the pitcher got the ball. There was no way on earth you're gonna stop him. Even I would have scored from that position. And along with me, let me share with you the tweet I put out that currently has fifty thousand likes. Go ahead, Red's guarantee first place at the All Star Break, beating Brewers as Ellie
steals home. We deserve this after a one hundred lost season. We have the honor of watching Ellie at least until twenty twenty nine. Sign him now to a twelve year, two hundred and fifty million dollars deal. Agree or disagree right now, we got him to twenty twenty nine. Give him a twelve year deal, make him rich, and then that'll be until twenty thirty five. Seg According to the fans, fifty thousand strong, they say, yes, Now we're stolling Castellini's money. Right, So you got, you
got one hundred Green at what fifty eight? We call him Homer Green. You get you're gonna have to lock him Lodolo by the way, where is Green? Uh? They're both him and Nick or Lodolo or in Arizona rehabbing, one of them not gonna be back until next month. How about rehabbing here? Uh? Well that that's the weather's a little bit better out there. How come he's a hip in their legs, twenty three years old and he's hurt again and then you gotta lock You're gonna have to lock up.
Uh. You know what about Jonathan India? Is he gonna get a deal? Deal? What about Matt McClean. That's another way he's gotten long in well minute, Well so does Elie de la Cruz long way. But he looks. But I mean, do you do you do the you do Elie de la Cruz like you did Joey Voda remember that? Yes, they gave Joey Vada what that twelve year, twenty five million dollar deal in the middle of his career? How are we looking well? I mean, you tell
me. By the way, Hunter Greend is twenty three years old, right with multiple injuries. I call him Homer. It's hip. Well what about his arm too? Well? He had everything well it workfully hopefully you get they you know what they just gave him? What that what was it? Eighty millionaire? You're gonna you know? And and and you know Joe Burrows still trying to come to the bank. What's the deal with that contract? Don't everyone heard of Let's go live now to the Bengals UH officers to see
what they're saying about the contract. Answer is not nothing, but he's only twenty three, and he's hurt all the time. We look at what about Burrow? He's the same thing. He's hurt one time. Well, he's been hurt repeatedly though. I don't know. I mean, I don't know who's going to deal out the cash well from cash Castellini, Well, that's what I need. And so is mister Brown fifty million dollars? Well? How much is Lodolo worth at this point? Nothing? How much is Matt
McClean going to be worth? I think it might be worth a lot. India might be worth some. You gonna make a decision, right, I mean, he can't keep well, look at the Bengals. Is it Jamar Chase, He's not going anywhere, I hope. Is it Tyler Boyd? No? Is it t Higgins? No? Are you gonna keep all the three amigos together? Keep the amigos with with j B? Maybe keep them all well? Saying the cost well, and I'll come Joe Burrows, how much? Deal well? And then the Bengals A god that you know they
got some of that money from Taylor Swift and the concert. I'm just saying Taylor Swift speaking of that to my right is a piece of the sea coin dress form fitting Sarah Alice, who left me a personal note and a piece of her dress. Will you read what she left me to Willie. I knew you were trouble and she leaves me a piece of her dress that she cut off. After Taylor Swift explain what happened, you were there no piece dress, but it was kind of in two pieces. I get home at
the end of the night. It's round one o'clock in the morning. My husband is sleeping, yeah, and I'm trying to get the dress off again. No zipper, no buttons, no clasps, It's just one piece and I try to pull it up over my head. I cannot get it off. I'm trying everything. The thing is stuck to me and i can feel the rhinestones digging into my skin, and I'm like, forget it. The only way to get this damn thing off it's actually just cut it and it's
only I took about six scissor cuts to get it off. Yeah. Oh, I could breathe. It was such a relief. Now it's just a piece of sitting in the garbage skin in my bathroom. There's a piece of Sarah right there well, the rest of the dress we hear whereas it. Various reports are that the Hard Rock Casino, what is going to put a mannequin? What in a glass case? Put the rest of the dress? Auto mannequin next to one of the famous clothes and costumes at the Great Rock
and Roll Musicians piece to make the dress. I don't know the rest of the dress is gonna be on this mannequin, apparently at the Hard Rock Casino for everybody to see. She calls the Great American trouble. If you're looking for trouble, you came to the right place twelve to three every day, baby, and Sunday night. Just look in my face. Elvis talked about it one of his great songs. You're looking for trouble, come to the right place. I should sing that to Sarah. What do you think?
Storms are brewing in her eyes right now? And there's a piece of her dress right there on the wall. Wait till wauntil Eddy Finger sees it in Rocky. He's very note that both of them will get very jealous. Of course, I say, one of them will steal it and take it home. Let's see how long it stays up there. I wonder what piece of the dress it is. I don't know what did it cover or not. Only your hairdresser knows for sure. I have no idea. Coming up in

How many years have you watched Elie Dela Cruz come up in the system in the dr Well, you know, I don't watch him too much about it because, uh, you know, trying to keep up with a minor league system as take a lot of time, and I just concentrate moston a major league player. But when you got somebody, especially like Dela Cruz, he got to pay attention. I'm worried about de la Cruz because look at how good he is. He haven't even being a halfway and developed a tool,
So I don't know how good are he going to be. He's a very sided player, and I'm very excited about him and the team and the CEO Cincinnati, Josie. Did he make a mistake yay or nay? According to his agent Scott Burris, he was given an opportunity tonight to hit home runs in the home Run Derby, and he turned it down. He said, no, is that a good idea or a bad idea? For Elie Delaco?
It is a good idea, you know, were you going to go up there twenty left and put extra power and you swing, especially when you got to google with him, it's not a good idea. He a, he got to power, but he not a powerheader. He got the power whenever he needed and he got a great swing. And he don't have to have a power to be a powerheader. He just had to have a good swing that he does and he don't want it anything they make any changes in
he swim to keep pull what he's got going on. I think that's something good for him. And the team was Cincinnati. Look how well are they doing? You don't want to change anything now beside this is apostating a major league So he's gonna have plenty time. Yeah. And the thing about the Todd father who won the twenty fifteen home Run Derby the last time the All Star Game was here, advised La de la Cruz not to go to the home run Derby. Number one. It's in Seattle, so he'd be flying.
I guess from he had to go from Milwaukee to Seattle, then Fromattle back to Cincinnati, and then that's a problem. But he said, you change your swing when you're in their home run derby. You practice and practice, you swing differently than you swing during a baseball game. And he's only twenty one years old. I'm kind of shocked he didn't say yes, because he could have burst on the scene and what he could have done for himself
would have been great. But for the team, it was a bad idea to think of twenty one year old who really is not developed yet when you say he's got a long way to go. So many phenoms have come up and they performed magnificently, and then the other team finds out how to pitch against him. When you were on the mound and you had one of the second greatest comebacks in Red's history, you would watch a player and then you
learn how to pitch when you have a young player. When you were on the mound, Jose Rio, how did you prepare for a hot player? How did you get ready with the videotape, etc. How was it different for you to pitch against someone like a La de la Cruz in nineteen ninety as supposed to someone who was an All Star. Did you approach it differently? Absolutely? You know, when you got a guy like de la Cruz,
you know he's so fat. He gotta forcibly, gotta make sure you to walk him, because he don't know if you walk and mess like a triple. But you gotta still away from that. And beside that, he got the power also, so he cannot just we go out there term strike trying not to walk him. He got to be very careful, especially for me in my situation. I like, let's stand the header because the slider, uh, my slider against Let's stand the header. It was special.
That was good because I can use it a five different way and I like it. But the thing is that I uh, i uh suggestive for him not to do it because he's thinking about the team. He taking it about the city. He's not thinking about himself. I mean, he don't need any any more supposal that what he already have. He's the best player right now in baseball, that what he's doing. Why do you want to do anything better? I mean the home rown derby, it is not the home
rown Derby's we need the city being forced plays like they are. That's the whole thing right now. That's what the CD team me right now. There was some criticism in Cincinnati June sixth when he came up that they got the number forty four. When I think about forty four, I think about Henry Aaron, I think about Eric Davis, and so what was it? I actually, did you like the idea of him getting Eric Davis's number or not? I do? I do? Because he reminding Eric Davis. You know,
que look at him. How quick was Ary how much power you have? You know, the high smart he watch praying. He definitely reminded me. But I don't think it's not the wrong. But he worked that number. I'm pretty sure Erry David is going to be proud of him because he wore his number with pride. He doing what every day was doing so far even better. But you know, it's it's gonna be hard for him to keep up very Davids number, but he got the potential to do even better.
So if that was Ary Davis, I'll be proud right now was there. I'm proud of him wearing number forty four. You know, a few months back Tom brown and unexpectedly passed away the great number thirty two. Also the number of Sandy Kofax out of Cincinnati, thirty two. What are your memories of Tom Browning mister perfect? Well, but they're not only mister perfect to me, and he was perfect to feel too. He's motivated. He's
one of the recently won in ninety becaus. And we don't have the great of a team compared to Oakland a'ge you know that everybody knows, but we got a guy like Brownie to motivate everybody to be even better. He was so excited, he was so into the game. He was like Oserviti observation every time, so so see make sure everybody's doing the right man. And Brownie was one of the best teammate I ever had because he was very created. Uh, he don't have the best stuff in the world. But then
then a game it was perfect. That was awesome and I just love it. I just love Doohn Brownie Jose Real. Why does Dominican Republic produced so many baseball players when other Caribbean islands does not? And looks to me like you could have an all star team of Dominican republics. I could imagine, and the DR to have Mayorshall, Martinez and you on the mound in your primes against almost anybody would be a team that would beat any how come the
DR has so many baseball players hungry, bro hungry. You know, it's that we're very poorant education, or we're very rich and talented. Right now, we even have a more bet decision to develop more player. We even have more playing right now trying to make it to the next level because they know we got to talent. They know we're so hungry. And that's one team that a world be about. You know, some of the guy that it'll be rich people or middle class they'll make it because they're not that hungry.
Dominican plays are hungry, and they played the game like it's no tomorrow. I mean they all want to make it, you know, most of the time. And I hate to see this, and I hope they made some change on arrangement for education. They take them off to school eleven twelve years old just to play ball. The e breathe and this baseball was all they do. They gotta be good. Well, we gotta get some good play here because as many we got it's hard they work, and it's hunger
they are. That's the situation. The ended up with some great player because they learn how to play the game in the hardway. And lastly, Jose Rio. After nineteen ninety, we thought the Reds were going to run in the nineteen nineties to be the team of the nineteen nineties. You had a great pitching staff, You had the Nasty Boys. You had Eric Davis, you had Chris Sabo, you had Barry Larkin, you had Todd Benzinger, you had marion O Duncan, you had Joe Oliver had you had Braggs,
had Paul O'Neal. Why didn't that ball club what's looking back, had some great talent? Why did you not continue to dominate the rest of the nineteen nineties as opposed to just that one year. I remember that, you know, we we were good. We were still good. I remember ninety five we went to the to the playoffs a game. But I guess, you know, it just that that one year that everybody put the thing together like we did and we motivated a year, you know, and remember we make
the son and and others. I think it's a termber that we're gonna win all the way without even being in a playoff. That's how comfortable word and Loop and Ella. I given a big credit for him because he was a great motivator. And that's when I had learned in baseball, you don't have to have a great team together. You got to have a great motivator. You know, we got to have twenty five guys pulled him in the sen
duration and that's what Lou have and us. You know, he's pulling us in the sen duration and we would listen, would pay attention, and we do the right thing every day. It seemed like we don't make a mistake, and we did. We correct the right away. And that's the thing that we need to learn to be a World Series champion. And that's where we were at World Series champion because we were motivated. We got a great leader. Well, we got a hungry player. Last night, Jose Rayo
the great number twenty seven? What is your life like now? Many Reds fans like they get an update on you now and then what is Jose blaming on Rijo doing? Now? Bro? I don't feel like in the nineteen ninety right now, I feel like an MBT again. I'm here and ask you Tennessee watching my kid playing, and they played today the fourth game, and I've following up. He played a tournament in Miami the ten teen. He got the biting titled four seventy eight heat four seventy eighth. My tallest
kid eighteen years old. If he's swove in and strike out thirty eight. So I having a best time in my career right now because my kids are doing great. To me, it's no better, better opportunity, obetter lifestyle there seeing my kid having success at least having fun. This thing you late. Right now, they've playing the fourth game here, I'm my team. Hello, got one hit, one double and that was my kid. I'm
excited. Bro. I tell you what. It's great to be an MVP, but you're an MVP father, and that's more important than being an MVB pitcher. That's what I'm trying to say. Thank you, Billie, thank you, and God, Jose get my best to your family. Don't ever come to Cincinnati without checking in. And all I can say is Steinberg's stirbers. God bless America, baby, and God bless my Citial Cincinnati. I'm
a fame. I love the faint of Cincinnati. Well, I if Ellie Della Cruz has about one tenth of support that you've had in this town, he'll do well once again, jose Ray, you're gonna do well. He was gonna do better. Well, I'll go to see you that. Well, you ought to take him under your wing. I know you travel a lot, you got your businesses. But if you can take him under his under your wing, I think it'd be better for him. I believe him,
I'd do what. I just hope he keep their levelheaded because well he got in the future. It's no limit, it's not limit. And the studio Cincinnati needs somebody like that. Look at the record, look at this pain, how much whatever they go at Cincinnati or anywhere they asked me about him. I mean, I'm so excited because it's not him doing simple himself. He's doing for all of us too. He put it all of us in the reflum respective now and people look at us different now that they think
we're the greatest team in baseball because any team the way they're doing. Can you imagine starting pitching staff of Marichelle Martinez in jo How would that do? Be unfair? That be unfair? Jose You're the best. God bless you, and God bless Steinberg's Thank you, Jose. We'll see you against something. By bye, all right, by bye, I tell you you talk about the best. If you compare a diamond from Genesis Diamonds to one you find somewhere
else, one thing will always stand out. The gist there will ever be as Jose blaming on Riho at the moment when he had to perform, he was the best there ever was because he shut down the Oakland A's twice in game one. In game four, the game four in Atlanta, I'm Sorry in Oakland was critical for a Jose blaming on Rio because the Reds basically after that game had no players ready to go. Billy Hatcher would have been gone, and he hit over five hundred in the World Series. Eric Dave was
in the hospital, the pitching staff was decimated. Who knows what would occurred at the moment the Reds needed a stopper. Jose Rio against Oakland was that stopper which brought us the last World Series title, hopefully not the last for a long time. It's been my gosh, what the thirty three years thirty three years since the Reds last won the World Series, which is an all
time record. On the negative side, the Reds one in twenty nineteen, and the Reds one in nineteen forty, the Reds one in nineteen seventy five, seventy six and nineteen ninety. In fact, over those fifteen years, from nineteen seventy five to nineteen ninety, those fifteen years, the Reds won three World Championships, basically twenty percent of the total. This was Titletown.
Since then, we've fallen on very, very difficult times. And that team of nineteen ninety lit up the corners of my mind with Glory Barry Larkin. The Hall of Famer was fabulous, and the starting pitching was in regnable. The Nasty Boys were the best there ever was. The Reds starting lineup was was great, and they win those first two games here, then go out to Oakland, win the two games there. The last game the Reds would
have been decimated. Many have said that games five, six, and seven would have been very difficult, had one more in Oakland and two back here. And it was up to Tom Browning and Danny Jackson was up to Jose Rio. It was up to Todd Benziger and Marion o'duncan and Larkin and Sabo was up to Paul O'Neill and Glenn Braggs, up to Eric Davis, up to Billy Hatcher to get it done. With Pott Rose Lou about the best there was. And I hope this team. I see a lot of the
similarities between this team. It would happened in nineteen ninety when the Reds weren't picked to do much, but they did. And so with Hunter Green coming back, with Nicolodolo coming back, with the Ashcraft pitching the way he is, with Lively back, who knows, and with Abbott doing what he's doing. I don't know. I mean they looked good on paper. We're gonna know more than next ten games they play. They play Friday, Saturday and
Sunday here against Milwaukee. Then they have four games against the Giants, who are very good, and then three games against the Arizona d Backs the Snakes, who are really good. So then the first ten games they play, if the Reds go five and five or six and four, that's going to be a benefit. We'll see what happens, but so exciting we have a team in first place. I'm gonna talk to Karen Kraft later and Bill Reinberger and Dan Lewis. Dan Lewis controls the Reds. Basically, you see if

A lot of vows, a lot of vowels right there, a lot. He's gonna talk about Issue one. How many people within the sound of our voices know what Issue one is? They think it's a threat to democracy. Jay's the last date of register? Isn't it four o'clock? Or I think
it gonna be midnight or eight o'clock or something? If you if you not, then you can just do it like the next day, the next day. If you're stupid to place, if you don't know what you're doing. If you're stupid, or go the next day. You don't vote, asked the ballot, don't vote, don't vote, just I'm stupid about a bunch of stuff. There's another one. And if I'm stupid, I don't proceed. So if you're stupid, don't know what it is, please don't vote.
But one thing it is not is a threat to democracy. Is a threat to democracy, becaues, we might lose the threat to democracy. The TV commercials that got them cutting up the constitution and everything. You're talking about, Sarah Elice again, Well why do you do that? Scissors? Yeah, I'm trying to get past I'm just talking about the TV commercial for Issue one, trying to get political here. I need more sensitivity to get out
of the gutter. Gutter once who put us in the gutter. This is a war relating to a demnitions and they're running out of those that ammunition and we're low on it. And the recommendation now defensive, like the offensive coordinator saying transition, Oh my shells for we can't run the ball. We've lost
three running back. Eisenhower was going to announce what D Day was too, just to let them know her sound bite the other day of Jen Saki SEG's good friend saying that against no circumstance, would we use those sort of conster bombs cluster bomb right, we can't do that. It's you can't. Now we're using we're using them, but we're telling them we're gonna use them,
and that we're low and we're gonna facton and get more. I mean, if if Trump had done that, it'd be impeached for the thirty seventh time. Number putin a piece of sairs dress. So you keep bringing that up, I don't tell you this. The President is the best communicator that we have in the White House, no mistake. If you try anything to raise
the cost of presiding them jobs, I will veto it. So when a drug deal was going down, she picked up the phone a call and say the police officer with a cell phone that the drug deals going down, knowing that she would never be fingered, knowing that she would never be the one told that happened, and so crime began to drop. They had to know who the local liquor store, they had to know and walk in and shake hands with the local minister. This is the best communicator we got there's no
boy he met the king today. Though he met with the king. See the King lead him around that, I mean he didn't know where it was going out. He had no idea, and the King saying, what in the hell is America doing? It's either him Janet Yellen or a Kamala Harris or Nancy Pelosi's was Missy Yellen over still over in China trying to figure it all out? Ord she come back?
