The Glorio. It's Monday afternoon in the tri State. So much to talk about. Great UC football season. We've got the Bengals marching for glory and for some the judgment seat of God. The Buffalo Bills and the Bengals have been the seven Super Bowls, oh and seven. I'm watching the Bills last night. If you watch like Scott Sloan, if you're a Bills fan and a Bengals fan, you watch those two games back to back, you lost your turkey. There's nothing left with all the insights necessary to set things in
motion. As the great Moeger. Moeger, welcome again to the Bill Cunningham Show. And can I read to you my tweet if they're still called a tweet that has caused I'm sure you studied it for context and for contours. This is what I tweeted yesterday afternoon, and you prepared, of course. Ken Anderson and Boomer both led the Bengals to one Super Bowl and lost. Heisman Trophy winner Carson Palmer never got there due to injury and was traded.
I fear Burrow may follow both examples in a way. Two hundred and seventy five million dollars. Do you have hope that JB will fully recover glory? The question Moe is put to you, what do you say? Well, I have a full hope that Joe Burrow is going to recover physically, and if he does, the Bengals are going to have an MVP caliber quarterback.
But I think what is I think the takeaway from yesterday's game and the takeaway from Zach Taylor's four and twenty record when he doesn't have Joe Burrow as his starting quarterback, is Joe is needed to hide a lot of the issues to mask a lot of the problems the Bengals have schematically, from a personnel perspective
and from a coaching perspective. And I don't think there's any other conclusion that you can draw unless over these last six games the Bengals win more than they lose, and after watching yesterday, it's hard to imagine that being the case. Jake Browning, every quarterback needs help, Really good talented quarterbacks need help. Justin Herbert in Los Angeles with the Chargers would be a primary example. Backup quarterbacks making their first NFL start need even more help. Did Jake Browning
get any yesterday from anybody not named Jamar Chase. Did he get it from his coach? Did he get it from his running game? Did he get it from his defense? Did he get it from from a front office that ignored the deficiencies in the running game last year? Did he get it from a coaching staff that failed to come up with any way to find out a way to be reasonably productive on the ground to take pressure off the backup quarterback
making his first NFL start? Did he get any help from a defensive coordinator whose defense, for the sixth time this year, gave up over one hundred and fifty yards on the ground. Did he get any help from anybody? You know? Bill? I watched the San Francisco forty nine Ers. Now, if you went to John Lynch, the GM of the forty nine ers, and Kyle Shanahan, and said we're gonna give you Joe Burrow, will take Brock Perdy, they would take that trade. They want the best quarterback
possible. But when you watch that team, don't you get the sense that, to a small degree, the quarterback is almost interchangeable. Now that the system is so good, that the players are so good that it matters who the quarterback is and brock Perty has been a fun story, but it doesn't matter that much. Whereas you watch the New England Patriots, who now are the Iowa Football offensively of the NFL without Tom Brady, and you go,
okay, well, Tom Brady masked all their issues. Which franchise would you rather root for? Which a raadther root for? The one that can still figure out ways to succeed regardless of who the quarterback is, or the one
that is solely dependent on the quarterback being superman. Well, the takeaway from yesterday, and I think to fear that a lot of us have had over the final six to seven games in the season, obviously with the overwhelming majority of those games remaining, was that you take Joe Burrow away and it was going to be revealed that the Bengals are maybe a little bit more like the Patriots, maybe a little bit more like the Indianapolis Colts in that year that
Peyton Manning had neck fusion surgery, and less like the San Francisco forty nine ers, or to a lesser degree, the Seattle Seahawks, teams that can still figure out ways to thrive, to win, to function, and to win games in spite of its quarterback play. Yesterday's game, to me, Willie, the Pittsburgh Steelers found away. Kenny Pickett's not the guy. He might be the placeholder for a while because the Steelers are sort of a no man's land when it comes to the draft. They're too good to draft in
the top five. So but they found a way. They found a way. One team found away, the other didn't well last year. What are the conclusions are we supposed to draw? We have a bad coach. Last year, Lamar Jackson was gone and the Ravens make the playoffs because of organizational pride. Before the game started, there was a little segue involving Mike Tomlin on the sidelines, and I'm thinking we got Zach Taylor, they got Mike
Tomlin. I think the players could have switched uniforms, take off the uniform and the guy Mike Tomlin would have won because he's won a Super Bowl. And that guy's that coaches organizational pride, dude, The Bengals have organizational pride. I don't know if it's organizational pride or if they're just too reliant on
one guy elevating everybody else. And look when it works. It's great, right, and that's you know, look, folks are gonna say, well, wait a minute, twenty twenty one, Joe Burrow didn't carry the team to the super Bowl, And there's some validity to that. They had great defense, good special teams play, and I thought really good coaching in that run to the championship game and beyond in twenty twenty one, all those things are fair. But you know, we set all off season, but you
have to figure out ways to get more out of the running game. What do they do. They brought back the same running back, and they cut looses understudy, and they made no real attempt to upgrade the position, and the guy they did take in the draft didn't even get a carry. Yesterday, we said a lot during the offseason, this team has to figure out a way to upgrade the tight end position. Well did they No, The
tight end position has been a problem for much of the season. You know, we said, okay, this team is going to be able to figure out a way to thrive without its two starting safeties. We deferred to them. They're going to cut loose the starting safeties, not pay Jesse Bates, not pay Von Bell, Jesse Bates a big reason why the Falcons won yesterday with a pick six, And now all I've heard is how much they missed
to those two guys in the secondary and on the defense. So I think what has happened is a lot of the work of the front office, which has had an enormous amount of successes. But a lot of the work of the front office has come out of the microscope that Joe Burrow was supposed to mask. If you have Joe Burrow, nobody cares about how bad your running game is. If you have Joe Burrow, you could overcome having a shaky defense. If you have Joe Burrow, you could overcome game plans that don't
make a lot of sense. And if you have Joe Burrow, maybe you could overcome miscommunication. Why on the biggest play the game is TJ. Watt going unblocked? I know why? Why for a team a missed assignment by Drew Sample and Jonah Williams, two guys who have been in the NFL now for a while, in the same system, in the same offense coach by
Zach Taylor. How does that happen? That was the play of the game on a team that is supposed to be on a team that we talked about how good the roster was, how great the coaching staff is, how well run the front office is. Are those things that we just say when Joe Burrow is healthy and capable of elevating everybody, or of those things that are simply not true when Joe is on the sideline. Let me give you more
facts. You deal with the poetry. I deal with facts. The Steelers had fifty eight straight games of less than four hundred yards of total offense. Fifty eight games, and yesterday the Bengal defense and Joe Burrow didn't play middle linebacker. Joe Burrow didn't play a defensive end, gave up four hundred and twenty one yards to an offense that is terrible. I think there were twenty ninth or thirtieth in the league. The Steelers offense is really bad. And
you had about six sixty five thousand loyal fans going nuts. The game was sold out, it was still Pittsburgh, and we found out that this is a one trick pony. It's a one man band and without that one guy, and let's face it, he's an injury prone calf problems, knee blown out, and then you have the wrist injury. I talked to hand surgeons.
As you know, Mo, there's eight small carpal bones in the wrist, there's tendons and ligaments, muscle to bone, bone to bone, bone to muscle, and there's no guarantee because of a lock of circulation he's gonna have come back as he was before. So here's a young man who hadn't started his big time contract with calf problems, knee problems, wrist problems, and maybe head problems, and there's no heart. That team has to play
football. I remember a game that we played at Saint Savior Grade School, but Jack Monahan was the fullback, and of course I was the quarterback, and we kept pitching the ball to Jack Monahan. Jack Monahan. The defense figured out, guess what we got to stop Jack Monahan. All they had to figure out yesterday was to stop to a large accent of bar Chase and also Jake the Snake Browning, and they win the game easily. Everyone knew what was going to happen. Toward the middle of the third quarter, this
wasn't looking good. They go to the halftime with a lead, which is unbelievable. And then all of a sudden, I think Mike Tomlin imposed his will on the American people and the air has left the balloon. Who's worse the Bearcats are the Bengals. There was a question in there somewhere. That's a fair question because UC just finished a three to nine season with a rough effort on Saturday night. You know, for me, here's what we knew.
Okay, Jake Browning's your quarterback. He's never started before, so you're not going to be able to say to him, Jake, go out there when is the game. You're not going to be able to say, Jake, go out there and throw it forty times. Now, Pittsburgh, correctly, there were a team. Ted Carras said this after the game yesterday. As an a normal game, they want to take away the run. Now in a game where Jake Browning is the other quarterback, well, they're going
to go all out to take away the run. Joe Mixon didn't run against any light boxes where Pittsburgh doesn't have a lot of guys up on the line of scrimmage, and so you knew that going in. You had over a week to prepare for that, and that's what they came up with. They had over a week to prepare for a Pittsburgh team that was gonna say, all right, Jake beat us. You're not gonna be able to run it
against us. Now, It's one thing if you hand the ball off and you run between the guards and Pittsburgh bottles you up and you can't get any yardage. It's something else if you try some misdirections, or you try the backup running back who you drafted last year, or you try to do some things getting your receivers involved in the running game, sweeps, jet sweeps, misdirections, runs outside the tackle. The Bengals didn't do any of that stuff.
They had over a week to prepare for what everybody knew Pittsburgh was gonna do. You and I could have talked about this last week. All right, they play the Steelers, what are they gonna do. Well, they're gonna do everything they can to stop the run because they don't think Jake Browning can beat them. And the results of all that game planning, where these coaches worked twenty six hours a day, was to come up with that.
No imagination at all in the running game, no creativity at all in the running game, no creativity at all on offense, simply hoping that Jamar Chase could catch some tip passes. That is as far as I'm concerned bill coaching malpractice. It's one thing if you get bottled up or you're not very efficient or effective offensively and you empty the bag of tricks. Zach Taylor didn't bring
the bag to the stadium yesterday. And then after the game did he look like Dave shul after the game, kind of staring at and frankly and look, I really do like Zach Taylor a lot man leadership quality. I think there's I think there's a lot of calture to be but Tony Bender is a good persons He is a very good person. He might be a better play caller. I asked this two weeks ago and I haven't gotten an answer.
What would be the harm if they said, for this game on Monday against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Brian Callahan's going to be the primary offensive caller offensive play caller, Well, well, it'll be the harm. Zach would have to admit failure. I'm not sure he wants to do that, and that's the reason. And I don't know. I don't know what to say. Are we back to where we were pre Joe Burrow? Are we back? There? Is Joe Burrow Bengalized at this point? I think Joe Burrow, look,
we're gonna do it again this offseason. He's not going to have another normal offseason, right, so he's going to go into year five and I think you are being reasonable if you worry about the accumulative effect of all these
injuries, right, it's fair. But we're going to go into year five again wondering what could have looked like if he had a normal offseason, in a normal training camp, and we're going to spend I think the early part of the offseason wondering is he going to be ready for day one of training camp? But if not, how's that going to impact the start of the
season. Where the Bengals over the last couple of years have gone off to oh and two starts, and thoseh and two starts have caught up with them in the season now, maybe not so much last year, but certainly this year. And they're going to have a terrible schedule next year because they're going to finish the last If somebody had told you in August that the Bengals.
Bengals would be in last place? Would you have bet? You would have said impossible, because Joe Burrow's got a minor calf injury that was a non contact and nothing type injury, and he's going to be fine, and he wasn't fine, and now he had then you know he's injury prone, and now he's gonna according to one doc I spoke to, at least three months in a cast, then at least one to three months after that rehabbing, and we hope he has a recovery. And I'm thinking, what we hope
he has a recovery. It's his right wrist, which is terribly important to a quarterback with a bad calf and a bad knee, and he's twenty six years old, and is he destroyed already? How do we go from glory and a Super Bowl contender with the DC going to be a head coach somewhere to absolute Dave shula land. How'd that happen? Though Joe Burrow went healthy, apparently masks all of the other issues Joe Burrow when not healthy and available,
those issues get amplified. And that's going to be the narrative until the Bengals change it, which they could start a week from tonight on the road as seven and a half point dogs against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Well, my question was about the Bearcat football program. What about that, Mo, because you're intimately connected with Bearcat Land, you and Tony Pike, what the hell's
happened to that? Well? Look, I don't think it's ever been more difficult for a coach to show up at a new place and have success year one. And if you look at all the coaches that started at new schools this year, the combined record is somewhere close to thirty five games under five hundred. There are exceptions, like Jeff Brom at Louisville, like Chadwick the coach at Liberty, but by and large, I don't think it's ever been
more difficult to be a coach in a new place and have success. I also don't think it's ever been easy to get things turned around year two, year three. This can get turned around very quickly if the Bearcats can successfully navigate the transfer portal. They need a quarterback. They need a better quarterback than the ones they had this year, and they need a quarterback that's gonna
stay more than one season. They need better players in the portal. Last year, Dan Horde said this on the postgame show on Saturday, and I think there's some validity to it. Scott Saderfield took the job. The portal had already been opened and picked through, and so you know, to a degree, this isn't to say the Bearcats got bad players in the portal, but they kind of got the table scraps right. They didn't get they didn't get the guys that everybody else was out for. So that's not gonna be
so much the case this year. They have to make the roster better. The good news is it's never been easier to make the roster better almost instantly this team from a physical standpoint. The last few games, they got pushed around by West Virginia, they got pushed around by Kansas, They got pushed around a few weeks ago by Oklahoma State. There were games this season where the Bearcats passed the physical test but made too many metal most or committed penalties
or had turnovers and lost the game. But if they really want to compete in the Big Twelve, they're going to have to match the level of physicality that some many of these other teams bring to the table and they need a better QB. Are you ready for the big question? Sure? Would you rather be a Bengals fan or a Bills fan? Well, I've been a Bengals fan my entire life, and you're not leaving, and I'm not leaving tough. I don't want to be Bills fans are jumping through tables and stuff
like that. I don't have much of a desire to do that. Yeah, you're talking about Scott Sloan, and I get that, but this too, well, I mean, I would rather be Scott Sloane than me, but you know, if we're doing that game, but I would. It's not that I'm thrilled being a Bengals fan, but I've made it this far. Why why I turn around now? Oeger? Thank you? If you're analysis it's needed badly. And all I know is Mike Tomlin beat Zach Taylor
and Bill Cower all the time, beat Dave Shula. I just look at the coaches in the organizational pride that the Steelers have in being Steelers, and there's no organizational pride in being a Bengal. And we'll see what happens down the road. But once again, Moe. Thank you for coming on the Bill Cunningham Show. Thank him. Oh always a pleasure. Bill. Thank you. Let's continue with more coming up in an hour or two. Is going to be Congressman Warren Davidson, a good friend of Moe Egger, to
break down what's happening in Washington. You talk about a disaster. Hell, the Bills and Bengals are good compared to that. All on news Radio seven hundred WLW. Looking to switch your phone service? Check out Boost Infinite Wireless. It's new technology switches between its own network and the up. All right, hit the music. Acosta's been selected as the MVP of FC and I'm sorry the league again Major League Soccer. He's the best player in the game.
The effort on Saturday was unbelievable. We're gonna have Jeff Birding on later this week. Hell is real, which I think it is, but none of the Lass Columbus comes to town, and it's going to be unbelievable. Weather's going to be great soccer, weather and more. After one o'clock today will be Warren Davidson, Congressman. I read this story over the weekend about forty so far, forty members of Congress have said, we can't take it
anymore. We're leaving now. Some are like brad Winstrup, who's got a couple of younger kids, and he spent about eleven years in Congress and he kind of wants to come home, probably make some money, and live out his life. He's sixty sixty five years old, as children under the age of ten, and he wants to go to soccer games, wants to go to parent teacher conferences. Want to live a normal life, and when you're
in Washington, you're not living a normal life. Many many, many years ago, when it was Rob Portman was going to leave the Congress and go to the Senate, I had, unfortunately thoughts about running for Congres. I love to be involved in the freaks instead of being in the peanut gallery criticizing what's going on. I like to jump in. So he said, before you do that, let's get together and talk. So I spent a couple hours with Rob Portman and his staff, and he showed me a schedule what
he did. He left either Monday morning or Sunday night and got back either Thursday night or Friday morning. And while in Washington, he had each day between four and eight committee hearings or important meetings that would go from six o'clock in the morning to six o'clock at night. He was expected to go into a booth at the RNC and make telephone calls to raise money for others in a safer congressional district. Then when he came back Thursday night or Friday morning,
he was beat. But then he had fifteen to twenty meetings on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday or events he had to go to. He said, really, it's a seventy to eighty hour job. And so when I read this story in the Washington Post that we have professional congressman who after many, many years, they can't take it anymore any more than we can take it. This is a poll out of the Washington Post ABC News that says seventy eight percent of we the American people have a negative view of the American
economy, and seventy percent say we're on the wrong path. That you can't get seventy eight percent of the people to agree on anything except each of us know things aren't right in this country, and eighty nine percent of registered voters worry about the direction of the country. Those are the more committed to the involvement of being a citizen. Eighty nine percent of registered voters say they're very
concerned. They're extremely concerned about the direction of this country and some other issues. Eighty two percent are concerned about the crime rate. Have you seen sick? It was sick. This individual in Vermont shot three Palestinian students because of the way they looked. Didn't know them. They were wearing their Muslim garb, the scarf, and this forty eight year old walked up and shot all three of them. And then you have violence against Jews simply because of the
Jewish faith. Then you have what's happening on the southern border, which is completely out of control that the media is given up covering because Joe Biden won't do a damn thing about it. The border patrol says, you know what, we don't need new laws. We need the resources to do our job not given to them. So Amasa's war on Israel seventy four percent concerned about
that, gun laws seventy two percent, border security seventy one percent. And basically everywhere I look, whether it's inflation or crime or the border, the wars in Ukraine and Gaza are completely out of control. We have no leadership in the world because the world leaders have figured out that we selected someone to be our president who's mental incompetent, mentally incompetent. Joe Biden. The speculation of my right is to the effect that he's going to announce after the holidays,
after Christmas, that he's not going to run because he can't. He can't read a teleprompter. He continues to make these references to little children and girls. It's kind of sick. He's complimenting like six year old girls on how their ears look, and he's smelling their hair again. Even his wife, doctor Jill's getting a bit upset about this. And Democrats can't take it anymore. The polls keep getting worse for Joe Biden. Something's wrong with the
guy. He's a dirty old man. The walls are closing into the Biden crime syndicate. How about this? Did you hear that this isn't well reported because it is so bad for Joe Biden. But the Washington Post is reporting that the FBI developed forty forty confidential informants tracking the Biden's family shady business deals beginning in twenty Ozer in twenty nine. They're saying something's wrong about this quote.
The FBI maintained more than forty confidential human sources on various criminal matters related to the Biden family, including Vice President Joe Biden, dating back to twenty nine. Quoting the information obtained by the Washington Posts. These confidential human sources quote provided criminal information to the FBI relating to Joe Biden, James Biden, and Hunter Biden. These confidential human sources were managed by multiple field offices across
the country. And what came of all of that, all the one hundred and sixty SAR reports, suspicious activity reports, father of the US Department and Treasury, largely nothing because the Biden told his attorney general, his wingman to let it go, don't worry about it. So it just continues and continues and continues, and I'm not sure where it goes. I know it's not
a good situation. So the odds of this guy, Joe Biden, actually completing the next eleven months and then running a virulent, a aggressive campaign in the summer and fall of next year is basically non existent. It can't happen, It can't stay awake it's embarrassing. If this were a Republican acting in such a fashion, it would have been a major story in the mainstream media
for the last year or two. And if they covered him like they cover other Republicans, guess what, he wouldn't have been elected in the first place if the American people knew all this stuff was going on. And so everywhere I look, I see government breaking down, insufficient, inadequate, and the bureaucracies in Washington are taking over. They're determining what laws are enforced and what
laws are not going to be enforced. The best government we have is local government, whether it's Sycamore town Ship or Hamilton County or the state of Ohio. The best place to be is in a blue county within a red state. That's pretty good. So Mike DeWine can keep an eye on the county commissioners and others, and we function. If we're a blue city and a blue county and a blue state, you got no shot of having a functional life. It just doesn't work. Cincinnati, Hamilton County is about ten years
behind other blue cities and blue counties about ten years. We're going to find out. I may not be with you in ten years to comment about it. But I'm fairly certain that Cincinnati, which owes something like five hundred million dollars on its failed pension system and the city police department wants to do its job, but it's being decimated because quality individuals don't want to be cops anymore.
Would you want to be a cop in this climate? Would you want to put the badge on, go through the training, put yourself out there. I don't think so, because in blue cities and blue states, guess what, you don't have qualified immunity. You can be sued for a good reason, a bad reason, or no reason, and no cop or firefighter can withstand lawsuits against them for alleged acts, wrongful acts committed on duty because
you can't afford to hire the attorneys to represent you. It's a terrible circumstance. So later on after one o'clock today, I'm going to have on Warren Davidson, Congressman, took over from John Vayner about something called Convention of the States, which has been percolating. But in the Constitution, if three fourths of the states declare that the Constitution is not working for them and they want to have a convention, a constitutional convention of states to be located somewhere,
maybe in Washington, I hope not. Get to Kansas, get to Iowa, get to Nebraska, get to Tennessee, get to Kentucky. And each state gets one vote. That means the state of Wyoming is given the same power as the state of New York. You get one vote and then you can change the constitution. My god, do we need to do something about the deficit and the enforcement of border issues. But then the fear is the runaway Convention of the States that does a bunch of other stuff that was not
originally intended. But do we have nothing in Washington. The bureaucracy has arisen and they will decide what happens, how it happens, and where it happens. Because Congress is completely dysfunctional. There may be bills passed in the House that needs sixty votes in the Senate to move and that never happens. Only happens for Democrats, never for Republicans. So when I hear individuals say to me, well, we keep voting for it Republicans and nothing good ever happens,
Well, that's true. It's because of the system we have with the Senate needing sixty votes to move anything, and the split in the Senate right now is fifty one to forty nine. So let's a whole bunch of Democrats and or Republicans flip, which hardly ever happens. Then nothing were incapable of
changing the physical direction of this country, and that's sad. And the good old days, the Republicans and Democrats would take off their red and blue hats when they got to Washington and say, you know what, i may have been elected from the state of Minnesota or Kentucky or Ohio, but I'm going to take off my Republican or Democratic hat and I'm gonna do what's best for
the entire nation. What a novel concept. That doesn't happen anymore. From the day you get there to the day you leave, you're either in one camp or the other camp, and seldom to the ever, the Twain never meets. So for those who say, and you're completely accurate, that we
vote a certain way and it doesn't change anything, you are correct. Unless we get control of a thirty four trillion dollar national debt, accumulating interest each year of well north of one trillion dollar, we can't do a damn thing if our finances are that screwed up, and there's no effort mainly by almost all Democrats and a few Republicans to change that, to go to the Penny
plan every year reduced spending by one percent. So after seven or eight years over balanced budget, assuming you have a growing economy, that's not even because
of CR's continuing resolutions, that never happens. There's no hearings being held, and the bureaucracy takes over completely the running of the country, all headquartered in and around Washington, d C. That's why the Trumpster come next year, cannot get a fair shake in Washington, d C. Because the jury's coming out of that group of ninety one percent Democrats who rely upon government, and every one of them want to get Donald Trump because he's been successful in his
first four years and would be successful in his next four years. But he can't get to that point because the Democrats are suing him civilly for one hundreds of millions of dollars and indicting him a night one counts or is it ninety two and maybe more to follow for activities that in the past were considered simply political, not worthy of criminal activity, because if it was Hillary Clinton would have been indicted. Bill Clinton would have been indicted, Barack Usain Obama would
have been indicted. Eric Holder would have been indicted, and Joe Biden would have been indicted. If all those individuals had been indicted, I are just now coming out of prison for what they did before, during, and after office. And Donald Trump did similar things, I'd say, Okay, well, you're in the system. You did what Hillary did. Therefore, report
to prison for a year whatever it might be. That doesn't happen. And so it is sick and it's sad when the big tech joins with the federal government the snoop on you, and when they find serious criminal activity committed by a big time Democrat like Joe Biden, they simply ignore the whole deal. And if you're not disturbed as a parent with a president's sniffing the hair of little girls and remarking positively on the conduction of their activities and little girl outfits
and looking at them in weird fashions, then something's wrong with you. This guy is not right. He's a dirty old man, and he's a crook, and he's our president. Let's continue. And if line becomes available, which is seldom does seldom does. The number to call, of course is five, one, three, seven, four, nine, seven thousand plus Later on, I may check in with one of my friends and a deer blind. Mainly it's dysfunction. Can you talk about since you have a business experience, you've led a normal life, and you've been in the military US graduate of West Point, do you sense dysfunction in the halls of Congress? Well, look, we know it's broken. I mean that's why most people run. Now, I will admit there are some people that go there because they just want to be there, and unfortunately a fair number of them seem pretty
hell bent on preserving the status quo. They don't want anything to change. Some of them are leaving because they went there to try to change things, and they're exasperated. And that's where the public is. I mean, people I talk to are just frustrated, and like, count me with the frustrated people. I'm not ready to throw in the towel. I'm running for reelection. But there are some people that are like, oh, it's time for
some fresh legs. I'm sick of this nonsense. Yeah. And when I look, when I just travel the highways and the byways, and of course I'm on the radio six days a week, there's this sense of we elect Republicans, but nothing changes. And I suppose smart money says next November, the Senate's going to become Republican. The House maybe not so, in which case many leaders of the House want to get out before they have to work
for Nancy Pelosi or a Keem Jeffries, which should be unbelievable. So how would you answer the cry of normal Americans who say, we elect Republicans and nothing changes. Yeah, I mean, look, that's the frustration. I mean, you know what happened this year. We passed a lot of things through the House, only to have the Senate not take them up. And even when we had control of the Senate, the rules of the Senate say you got to get sixty votes to move lots of things. So you know,
the thing you run up against is getting stuff through the Senate. And you know, we've passed a lot of the things that we said we would through the House, we can't get the Senate to take them up. And that's why the fights over spending become so critical because the one thing that can go through on fifty one votes is a budget reconciliation bill, and you know, we have to fund the government one way, shape or form. And go back to the start of the year, Joe Biden said there was there
was going to be a clean debt limit increase. You're just going to raise the debt limit, and we said, no, we're not. We're going to get some concessions out of it. And they weren't as big as a lot of us wanted. I mean, frankly the public not anywhere near as big as we need. But we got important concessions, like, you know, really a commitment to spend less money passed two thirds of the House,
two thirds of the Senate. Joe Biden signed it. And that's where you look at these crs, you know, like the one at the end of September and the one most recently passed head of November seventeenth, Speaker McCarthy on the one, Speaker Johnson on the other. Either way, they both failed to implement what was agreed to in May, which is to cut spending, you know. So that's where people get frustrated, and they should be.
So it's the system. In other words, I tell the American people almost every day we have a little bit of control of the House, just barely by. There's five or ten members that lean left. But even if you get something pasted, Chuck Schumer is not going to let anything come to the floor of the Senate. So the system is set up to maintain the status quo, and the status quo is unacceptable. So that's right. And look, that's where a lot of people are like, look, how do we
dissolve the government and reform it? I mean, look, I've never historically supported this idea of a Convention of States because it's dangerous, but the current system misfailing, and I think a lot of people are like, well, maybe we do need another constitutional convention where it goes with some of the far left, crazy people that are out there. I got no idea. That's
why I'm scared of that play. What I will say is really unfortunately, I think one of the emblematic votes is this idea that we're going to continue building a brand new headquarters for the FBI in the midst of all the weaponized government. Now reality, it's not all the agents. A lot of the agent's vast majority of them probably great people, but the leadership of the FBI has been terrible. And unless we get that reconciled, there's no way I
can vote to give these guys more money. And unfortunately, seventy Republicans sided with all the Democrats to say, let's go ahead and do that. Let's go back a little bit to the Convention of States, because that is frightening for one reason, like you have no idea where it goes. But this is an article put in by the founding fathers back in seventeen eighty nine that said, if I think the numbers three for us, you'll know the number.
Say we want to another convention, a constitutional convention, you start from scratch, or you could have one one article added, or whatever. Explain to the American people the Convention of States and why some are advocating for that because right now we're in total dysfunction. Yeah, so a lot of times people will say, the states could just simply decide that three forces of the
States, let's go back to a convention. They can limit the purpose of it, and it can only you can only consider these things or that, you know. But the realia is when the Founding fathers got together to form the Constitution, they were really only supposed to amend the Articles of Confederation, and so they basically said, yeah, these are kind of unworkable. Let's just create a new constitution and as long as three forces of the States ratify
it, you know, then it becomes the constitution. So that's the that's the challenge. You could you could really wind up with a whole different basis for our constitution. Our constitution was created by our founding fathers who recognized that our rights come not from government but from God. And the government can't be the giver of your rights because if they can, they could be the taker away of them. Our constitution limits the ability of the government to take away
rights. But there are people that want to spin it on its head and make the government the grantor of rights like, oh, you have a right to housing, you have a right to toilet paper. I don't know whatever else they want to have right to. But everything that that involves a gift of someone else's labor can't possibly be a right, because that would be you would be able to compel somebody else's labor. So the narrow view of our
constitution is is right. But the problem we see is the bureaucratic state. These unelected, unaccountable bureaucrats, people like Fauci, people like Chris Ray, that don't get fired. They just continue on. Gary Ginstler at this carrys in Exchange Commission, all kinds of folks that are just run running over the country. And if you using the power of the office with very little accountability from the executive branch or the judiciary branch, and almost none from Congress.
And the beauty of the Convention of States would be that each state gets one vote. So that means the state of Wyoming we get the same vote as to the state of California. And so if you have three fourths of the states, I think the numbers up to thirty five or thirty six right now to call for that convention. When you do have the convention, you need thirty eight states, which is three fourths, and then each state has one
vote. We wouldn't that play into the hands of conservatives because there's more red states and blue states. Yeah, that's been the thinking, is that we've got a shot at saving the country if you get on that path. I don't know them all the way there, but I've been more receptive to it in this Congress because, look, we're just not getting things done that we
need to for the American people. And you know, how, how should it take so much effort to make the Biden administration simply follow the law? Our laws are fine if we secured a border with the border of choice, and sure, as he's saying, look, we don't need more people, we don't need more money. We just need to be freed up to actually follow the law, and we could actually sit sure the border. They're being prevented from following the laws of our country to defend our country. And it
really doesn't get more basic that than at our border. Well, that would be a wonderful thing. And in the past I've also I'm just a slep radio talk show host. But I'm thinking the country right now is seriously off track. I'm looking at some polling. Of course, polling is an irrelevant. Legislation is what matters. But according to this, according to a poll out of the Washington Post, seventy eight percent of the country has a negative
view of the future. One might say, who are the other twenty two percent? But when you have three fords of the American people say we're completely off track. We have an out of control bureaucracy the FBI, etc. We have a chief executive officer who's not mentally equipped to do the job. We have laws that are not enforced by the bureaucracy because they don't want to
enforce them or doesn't fit their viewpoint of what the law should be. The country is seriously off track, and so I would hope in the future there might be an idea to call the Convention of Stage get thirty eight states to say let's do it. And if that happens, you could limit it maybe to things such as southern border, such as reforming the entitlements, such as a thirty four trillion dollars in national debt on its way to forty trillion dollars
by twenty thirty, which is only seven years away. And the interest payments on the national debt now are one trillion dollars plus a year, which we can't afford. And this meme is going around of this Norman Rockwell painting of a farmer standing up and saying, why should I pay taxes if we can simply print more money? And how about that? The writing answer to that is, if difstits don't matter, then why tax people just because you hate
people that make money? And there are plenty of people paying taxes don't make that much, and you layer in all the layers of tax that we've got. You know, there's another one I saw going around, What is the income tax? It's a penalty for not being as bold as your forefathers. They would have never tolerated this nonsense. And if you look, one of the most important things is bouncing the budget. You look at everyone knows that you have to do that right and in theory, Congress knows that, but
every year they increase it. I mean, Willie, we had some of the most basic spending cuts in the world laid out there, and almost every single one you'd have anywhere from twenty to seventy Republicans crossing over with all the Democrats going, well, you know we can't cut that. Well, we can't turn this off. Well, we can't turn that off. You're going
to turn something off. I mean, you're spending two trillion dollars more than we bring in in taxes and tariffs and every other way the government makes money. You have to turn something off. We have a spending problem. Well. I also would add that story out of the Washington Post that the FBI
had forty confidential informants. These are human assets tracking the Biden family shady business deals beginning in twenty nine, so they've been at this for like fifteen years of tracking Joe Biden's monetizing the vice presidency, monetizing being out of office, and then monetizing the presidency to his family's benefits. He spent fifty years in
government. He has seaside properties all over the East Coast, and seemingly he's made no more than no more than one hundred and seventy five thousand dollars a year in office with two homes before he became the president. The presidency I think pays four hundred thousand dollars a year. And so you have a FBI
who's giving practological exams to the conservative organizations, including Donald Trump. They're going after the Federalist Society, going after the NRA, and the FBI is is got his eyeshut about all the criminal misdates of Joe Biden at all and is not ignored. You brought up the new FBI building. Can you explain how that plays in to the control we want to have over the bureaucracies and not
vice versa. Yeah, I mean they're basically building a separate campus. They the proposal is to build a separate campus that's bigger than the Pentagon for the FBI. I mean, this is domestic enforcing the laws on our country. We just found out like the FBI was coordinating with Twitter. You know, Elon Musk bought the crime scene there at Twitter now x and we saw how the FBI was coordinating big tech, not just Twitter, but all the big
tech companies. We just get Sepenas on Bank of America. So we saw how the banks are turning over all your records just during the week of Thanksgiving. We saw how AT and T surely others working with the federal government to log your phone calls and build the network out. This isn't tracking al Qaeda, this is tracking American citizens. I mean, they're building up Lae State, and we're going to give them the headquarters and the tech to further insulate
themselves from accountability. The idea that you would cut them a check to do anything except to reform the place is mind blowing. And look, regardless, Donald Trump did pick Chris Ray to lead the FBI. He was supposed to give the public more confident that the FBI was there to serve the people. But it's not going well, how do we not fire that guy? At this point, there has to be accountability, and I think that's where people
are so frustrated. And look, there are the vast majority of Republicans in Congress want all these things. When I go talk to my constituents, I'm like, look, you know, I'm fighting for it. The good news is the majority of the Republicans in the House right now are fighting for the same kinds of things that you and I want done. Unfortunately, it's not all of us. And that's what we need. We need enforcements, and so if the people that are wanting to preserve the status quo are getting exasperated
and exhausted, and we're wearing them out or they're just aging out. So they've been there for forty years. Great, let the country send us some reinforcements so we can deliver on the promises we keep making. Lastly, no, it's done. Lastly, Congressman Warren Davidson, why not take departments of government and move them to Kansas, maybe Minnesota, send them to Ohio, bring them to Tennessee. Why not disperse all that around the country. That
was one of my first bills. Will he that drain the swamp back? The title comes from Trump's idea, but the idea is not new, but it's something I always love this. Look at the Pentagon's got about less than ten percent of the military there. We got troops deployed all over the planet. We could scale that back, for sure, But either way, why not have the Department of Agriculture have lots of their employees based out here where we grow food. Yes, yes, have the Department of Interior out in
the west where we own all these western lands. Maybe they'd see it's okay to cut down some dead trees in the forest instead of letting them be fuel for forest fires. They'd have people that grew up there and understand the issues,
and it would cost way less than all the money. The East coast Washington, d C. Home to some of the wealthiest counties in the country, and that's where the average guy in America feels like their paycheck's getting wrecked and it's being sent to Washington, d C. So that you can fund an elite that's totally discanted from our country. I hope we can pass the
Drain of Swamp backed, but it hasn't caught on yet. Well, as you said, as long as the Democrats control the Cenate or even Republicans, you need sixty votes to do anything, and I cannot conceive of Republicans getting sixty Senate seats. I guess it's possible, but we'll see what happens. But I know there's many opportunities. And Warren Davidson, you're like a normal
person. I'm glad you're there, but keep preaching. It's an honor to be there, and I just look at people do keep sending us more reinforcements, more people that are there to do the right thing. And I've seen the momentum shift in the House since I've been there, and I feel like, look keep sending us reinforcements. We are going to get this done because we have to, Congressman, because worth saving, no question. So we
are. But we're teetering. And if we continue beginning of next year, another four to eight year run of Gavin Newsom or Kamala Harris, it's done. It's over, the country's done. We'll be fifty trillion dollars. There'll be a dead crisis, in which case dollars will be worth nothing, pensions will be worth nothing, and you need to wear a barrel full of dollars to buy a loaf of bread. And we've got to stop the madness. Warren Davidson, Congressman, once again, thank you for coming on the Bill
Cunningham Show. Always an honor. Thank you, Willie to bless you and your listeners, and God bless America and Merry Christmas and happy Holidays. Bill Cunningham the Great American Live at Rome of the Bengals News Radio seven hundred. Ww Hey everyone, this is Maria Montgomery. Friar Mouth, cover him that guy right there. I could have went out there and caught those passes. And the Steelers are a mess. They got guys fighting each other in the locker room. In fact, if the Bengals switched uniforms, I'll take the one coach by Mike Tomlin look just like Cower over over David Shulan. Right, Oh that's true. But when your name is Zach Shuler, is that good or bad? Not good? How are we looking? But but FC FC

You Know. The Crib the Nativity, sponsored by Western and Southern, is a holiday tradition for eighty four years
and will be dedicated at nine thirty am on December the eighth. The Crib the Nativity display will be open to visitors nine am to nine pm through January seventh, twenty twenty four. Since the beginning that Bean and Barn Family at Criton, Kentucky has constructed the display, involving live animals that returned to Lytle Park after the war and moved to its current location beside the cron Conservatory in
nineteen sixty seven. About twenty thousand will visit the Crib annually, and donations left in the box at the crib are matched by Western and Southern's financial group and given to the Salvation Army. Last year's donation totaled a record one hundred
and twelve thousand dollars, demonstrating the generosity of the Greater Cincinnati community. Western Southern's cribin Nativity is the company's holiday gift to the people a greater Cincinnati, bringing people together to celebrate Christmas and the holidays is a key element of Western and Southern's commitment to making Cincinnati the best place in the war to live, work, enjoy life, and to thrive while interest rates are on the rise
everywhere else. At Genesis Diamonds, we've got just the relief you need this holiday season. Five years zero interest on any by Billy cunning into Great American. Of course, about three or four weeks ago, a good friend of mine, Sean Donovan, was on his way from Cincinnati to New Richmond, the home of the Lions, along river along US fifty and a large deer a buck came out of the underbrush hit the front of his car sideways at
a high rate of speed. Fortunately didn't roll up into the windshield, but simply was thrown. The car spends sideway several times, doesn't roll over. The cars totaled. And Sean Donovan, by the way, is okay. This comes to mind because I think today starts deer season. You can shoot a buck. And today I spoke to my friend Wayne Carucci, who found himself in a deer blind and Wayne Carucci, welcome again to the Bill Cunningham Show. So when we spoke about nine o'clock this morning, where were you
if anywhere Mainville? What were you doing? Ohio? How's up on a tree stand? It's opening the day at gun season. That's the biggest holiday of the year, isn't it. Well, I don't know, so explain to me. I'm not much in a hunting as you may know. But when it's the first day of deer season, what does that mean for a guy like you? Hell, what time do you get up? How excited are you? How do you pick out a time where to shoot bucks, et cetera. A lot of homework done before you get into tree, Stan,
Willie. This is opening day at gun season. Both seasons started September twenty. Third season goes to the like February first. So you're in the world. It's quite a bit before you get in a tree with a shotgun with a big two and three quarter inch shell and so, but you do your homework. You do your homework before you get there, Willie, What homework are you doing? Why you look for scrapes? You look for rubs? Now I'm sure you know what those are. We discussed that when you
visited me in Petersburg, Kentucky, three weeks ago. The scrape is a move that a buck will make on the ground under a bush and leavy scent looking for a dough to do the same so you can find her later. And a rub is where he sharpens up his antlers on a tree. So you've already scouted out where to go in Ohio. Absolutely, I've been doing well. I've been doing this for over forty years. I still hunt with the same game with forty years ago. Big gym is eighty four years old.
Climbs a sixteen foot ladder stands just like the one you climbed in and Petersburg last month. And we'll sit up there for two three hours as long as we can hold out in the weather and wait for the big buck to come by. What what are your standards to take a buck? Is it? How many points? How many antlers? What's the deal? You know you don't shoot females? How many antlers? They only have two antlers unless
one got knocked off in a fight fighting over territory for the dough. When they go in the rut, rut's about a fifteen to twenty day period where they do their home, you know, do their business business with the does as though they can procreate at that time and and The does have about a two hundred day gestation cycle, and they dropped the young ones in like early June. Now, as far as picking out a buck, what are the criteria to shoot a buck? Our group six seven guy's been hunting for a
long time and we usually harveard's at eight ten or twelve point buck. That's that's our minimum. Let's say you shoot the buck, the buck doesn't like roll over and play dead. What if you shoot the buck and the buck keeps going well after forty years, you better know what you're doing. You usually aim at the vitals, right below the shoulder. You want to hit it, drop it as quickly and as cleanly as possible, so you don't have to walk and track it for hours on end on a on a blood
trail. You just hopefully, you know, you find it quickly and you as you say, disembowed, but you know you feel a dress it and then you take it to a poss and then you share your meat with friends, family, food banks, whatever you want. Do you ever eat it? Well? Absolutely give me there. We're going to kill this week. Will take a guess in the entire state. Let's sister with the state eighty eight counties, and I think a lot of the counties are off limit.
I can't imagine much hunting's going on in Hamlton County or Franklin County or Montgomery County. You gotta be out in the rule. That's not true. They do hunt in those counties. All counties are hunting deer, not as many as other counties. So some counties are more prevalent than others. But overall, we'll kill one third of the deer that we kill for the year two hundred, two hundred, ten thousand. How many will kill seventy thousand deer
this week? Seventy thousand, So you're gonna kill ten thousand deer a day, seventy thousand and gun season, which it represents just about thirty percent of the total harvest for the year. The rest are taken by mostly bo, some mosa loading, and then one week of shotgun, which is this week. This is the biggest week. Now, you know, our mutual friend Sean Donovan had a run in with a big buck. I've seen more deer than I can ever imagine. I slow down on parts of Hamlet accounted.
The deer and the bucks are everywhere. Is it a safety issue. Is it an issue of kind of weeding out the hurt a little bit for food? What is the reason this? It's a great question. Will It's a great question. Ask your state farm reen who here your research with Wh'll tell you what they're interested in. You know, probably one hundred and ten thousand accidents a year calls with deer and during that period of time to probably lose
thirty to forty deaths. Well like our friend Sean Donovan had had a running with a deer on us fifty could have been could have been a fatal Willie, as you know, John's a good friend of mine, right, Yeah, when that happened, I got to push on my phone and I didn't know what it meant. And by the time I digested that it was his car, I read he nice his car, he hit a deer, but in the car was the safety bag went off. He was pinned in his car with the safety bag blown up. He didn't know what to do.
He knew he hit a deer. I think he texted me like, what should I do? Now? Said so I called him back. He never answered. Well, he didn't answer. He dlopped his phone. He couldn't be a state patrol came by, popped his bag and got him out of the car. Did you know that part? No, I didn't, so I stayed high with patroling, so he was pinned up against the seat over the front seat. He couldn't move right right, And you know it is dangerous, Willie. I mean, just think about it. You know this.
A lot of people feel sorry for the deer, but she's a piece. There's about nine hundred thousand deer in the state of Ohio, nine hundred thousand deer, and we harvest, you know, someone about twenty five percent of them. Just think if we didn't harvest you twenty five percent of them him, and what it would be like. And each year it tends to go up, you know. And twenty one twenty two season, it was like one hundred and ninety seven thousand deer killed. Last year it was two
hundred and eleven thousand Kwio. Well, I to I'm glad there's guys like you out there wanting to do this. I couldn't imagine imagine getting up at five o'clock in the morning to go up in a dear blind twenty feet up a tree and just sit there like a full waiting for an animal to walk in front of me. Let's back that up a little bit. Willy. You were in Petersburg where you sat on my front porch in total peace and harmony. You sat there for twenty minutes and listen to nature go by,
and you finally looked at me in the first time. And I've known you a long time, Will, You said to me, I think I get it. This is so quiet and peaceful here. You don't hear tires hit the asphalt. You don't hear car and traffic and hot rods and the loudspeakers. No, oh you hear, Oh you heard? Will? It was a train go by, a tug boat go up and down the river, squirrels running through the yard. That's it. And when you've got that deer stand you said, this isn't this? I think I can do this.
Now. You haven't gotten much further than that, but I think there's hope for you. I will not come to shoot deer. I'm glad the guys like you want to do that. Is it a manly venture? Are there any female deer hunters that you've ever run into? Well? Occasionally, my son Dominic dates a girl named Stephanie and her and her girlfriend actually bohont on the property. It's rare, but they're out there. They are out there. How long it goes on for about a week or ten days gun season
and Sunday. Between between today and Sunday, probably when Chip Hark gives his report on Saturday next week, we'll probably tell you exactly how many were killed this year. So the goal is to kill about two hundred thousand, and it's two hundred thousand male deers or at least dares that identifies mail. Is that correct? No, hold on, let's not go by an there. They're not all bucks that you can kill one buck most counties, not all counties, but most counties. And you can also take a dough and we
can permit for like fifteen bucks more. You can kill a second do and those are people that like to kill their freezers full of meat. But you know, not all that is a combination of buck and uh, what's the biggest buck you've ever taken? Every time I get a ten point, my son kills an eleven points, really getting he's really getting to me. I'll probably finish this year looking for me looking for a twelve point. But They're
hard to find, but they're out there. There's a lot of massive deer out there, a lot of jeen pools in the southeast corner of Ohio's time with Brown County to Rathams County heading that way and Wayne Crunchie, if I would talk with you tomorrow morning at six am, it's going to be cold and bitter. It's after another Bengal loss. If I would talk to you at six am tomorrow morning, where will you be tomorrow? I'll be back in Mainville, up in a tree with me. How comes so early?
Why can't you go out there like at noon? You can go out there at noon, but hunting seasons thirty minutes before sunrise thirty minutes after sunset. Here come they leave the fields usually you know, late seven, eight, nine o'clock in the morning sometimes and go to the betting area. They come out of the betting area about four to five o'clock and work their ways back
out in the field. And then you have to be in position. Then hopefully you've done your homework well enough to harvest a nice big buck by a week from today night. Go ahead. William in Kentucky three weeks ago, during gun season, on that particular Saturday. I think I sent you three pictures in three bucks. Yes, all harvested the same day. Scott, my buddy, Scott, my son Nick, and of course myself. Well Wayne, Wayne, I'm glad you're out there doing your duty. Can we
talk next Monday? Bye? By Monday of next week, will have all the numbers. Somebody will have him. We'll find him, Willie. I'd be glad to discuss it with you, and soon I want to get you back in a tree stand. You know that's not my kind of thing, but I felt like a man for the first time in years. All right, Willie, thanks for calling me. Wayne Curuchy back to the deer stand.

How boring would life be if we all thought alike and so to have somebody at six o'clock in the morning haven't gotten up at four point thirty find himself twenty feet in the air and a deer blind, which is they wouldn't stand twenty feet in the air holding a shotgun in one hand and a revolver in the other looking for a buck is basically a good thing, because what it does
is take away from roadways and bridges and expressways two hundred thousand deer every year or more. There's about almost a million deers just in the state of Ohio. Kentucky, I'm told even has more. So basically it's a nice way of culling the herd and getting a lot of food at inexpensive prices. And then also, I guess Wayne Caruci said there was about fifteen Ohioans killed every year in car crashes because of a deer, and I would imagine those injured
are in the hundreds of the thousands. So so be it, have at it. Let's see what happens. They've lost all their natural predators, natural enemies. I would imagine there aren't too many wolves running around anymore. Coyotes, yes, but that's only for smaller, smaller deer. So we'll see
what happens down the road. Plus, as you know, coming up in about five minutes or so, Rocky Borman's schedule to be here to talk about what happened with the Bengals, what happened to the Bearcats, what happened to the Cleveland Browns, what happened to the Ohio State Buckeyes, and more, these are not good times to be a sports fan. How did the Bengals lose their shine so quickly compared to just two or three months ago? It was their roster built for the Super Bowl and the d C was on a
fast track to being a head coach. Here we are a little over halfway into the season and reality has crashed upon the shores of Zach Schueler and Moore and the fact that Jake the Snake Browning I think did adequately, but they have a rush for a total of twenty yards. There are a few things more right there and Misica, you win the game head to the ten championship. Hello bye, I'm broadcasting. I asked you off the air, what's in more trouble by the Bengals, the Bearcats, Ohio State or the Cleveland Browns Bengals Bengals Bengals. It's
bad, bad What how did it happen? Let me ask you, because I put it out there on Twitter and I'm still waiting on the results of that. Let me tell you. But is it mixing why we can't run the ball? Is it the offensive line while we can't run the ball, or is it the the noncommittal the lack of wanting to run the ball by Zach Taylor? What is it? I'd say, ye, all the above.
What most people answer, I think Zach Schule's only job basically is to call the offensive plays right and according to Moe, I mean that the Bengals ran for twenty yards the entire game. But Joe Mixon iss not quick, he's not fast, he's not bigger, he's not He's not like a running back that's gonna run over the There was a play where the offensive tackle pulled and went the wrong way. So is that Joe Mixon's fault is absolutely you
know, wide receivers aren't blocking. Is that Joe Mixon's faulty pull out a gun at some point you know, I mean, my wife, what right knows that? Okay, you got a backup quarterback and you gotta you gotta run the ball a little bit more. And it's like on second down, weren't empty every single time second down? And I understands second seven, it's not gets second three, but empty. You gotta attempted a little bit more.
How did this happen so quickly? I can recall sitting here in August and September, the Bengals have a roster for the Super Bowl and their DC is going to be a head coach soon. Here's what happened. So so the the I guess the message that we got or what we inferred was the Bengals couldn't add to the running game, couldn't get another running back, couldn't address tight end because because the salary cap issues and there's money that needed to
be spent on defense. Well, how's our defense right now? Thirty thirty? First? Somebody, what is the excuse? Somebody want to cover that friarmooth guy? Maybe you know how about this right night? And the last fifty eight straight games, the Steelers in total offense have had less than four hundred yards fifty eighth straight games. Oh yesterday, let me ask you, let me ask your opinion on something else. I got the facts right here.
Okay, So now you're not allowed to criticize Joe Burrow in this town. If you do, people go just absolutely nuts. But am I allowed to criticize Joe Burrow for sitting there and looking MOPy during the game instead of like helping Browning out? Now? Look, now, maybe he did and we didn't see it, but I know, being in the TV business, I guarantee you the night before that meeting, the production crew said the money shot is Burrow and Brownie talking, hashing out, looking at the little computer
table thing. I guarantee you they tried to get that shot, and if they didn't get it, it must not have happened much, if at all, didn't happen. To criticize him, say, do you agree with how Joe Burrow's body language was during the game. Yes, Aaron Rosby. He is next to the coach, he's with the Jets, he's involved in fact, he says he wants to come back in two weeks, which I think
would be ridiculous. I want to see the great number nine, not Carson Palmer, but rather Joe Burrow involved in the offense and coaching up Jake the Snake Browning. Is it the biggest deal in the world? No? And did he help him out? I'm sure, but it just bothered me a little bit. How about this tendon and ligaments? So are you ready for tendon and ligaments? Seg Is he doing this again with the hand? I
have no idea. Tendon is muscled, the bone. Ligaments are bone to bone, bone to bone, and muscle the bone and bone to muscle and muscle to bone. Are you ready to Doc Krimcheck School of Medicine? All of a sudden, he can't say, can't say. According to this one orthophetic surgeon I spoke with who must go nameless, he's going to spend the next three to four months with a cast. Maybe ready in nine to twelve months. And I'm thinking that that, Sondra twelve months, nine to twelve
months, Yes, that's like now next year? Correct? How are we looking? AJ McCarron not good? Well, the former Alabama the Snake didn't do that poorly? Right? He didn't do that? Now? And what more can you ask from? Now? There was some throzy miss, but our offense we have are not just our offensive identity, but the team's identity is Burrow to chase. That's it. And if that doesn't work, we're
kind of screwed. Now. Look on the Coast teams I played on, we were very heavy on Peyton Manning, right, he's the one that called. But we at least had a run game, right, at least had a defense that it got up on. You could get some takeaways and stuff like that. Edrin James, Josepha Dye. You could run the ball. Yeah, he could run the ball. The Bengals offensive line is hired to protect Joe Burrow. They're not hired to block and of running. But they're
not protecting Burrow very good. So if they can't do that, and they can't, you know, push some guys off the ball and they're humongous right that. This isn't like the outside zone days where no, we're like duo blocks, combination blocks, double teams. We're gonna move people off the ball and hand the ball to mix and off tackles inside and see what you can do. And they're not doing that, So you can't run block. Pass blocking isn't very good. I have some reloks if you're ready? Are you
prepared? Yes? Without Joe Burrow, Zach Shull is four and twenty. What does that say? It's not good? How about the if you had Mike Tomlin versus Zach Taylor, who do you like in that matchup? I would take off the Steelers uniform. There was a survey recently where they asked a bunch of players, I want to say, one hundred or so players, who's I could play for? And the majority said Mike Tomlin. No one said Zach Shuler. Now without Lamar Jackson last year doesn't take long.
The Baltimore Ravens are in the playoffs without Lamar Jackson. In fact, the game here was, there's the video. If he had best, shall we say the Bengals win? And so without Lamar Jackson Baltimore dominates. Now would do rather be a Bills fan or a Bengals fan? Scott's this was by everybody, including Seg before the season said this is a top three roster in the NFL. Just rost her, that's what you said. So without Joe Burrow we look like that. Yes, I guess my prediction is seventeen to
know is a little long. He needs some helse lost sheet. I don't want to get my sheet. I think I hit him like eleven and our identity is burrow to chase. And if we don't have that, then what we got we can't do nothing else. How about the Eagles. The Eagles can win multiple ways, multiple ways, all behind. They come back and then need to run the ball. They can do that, Jayleen hurts. They gonna need him to throw the ball. He throws the ball. They're
unbelievable. And people compared Eagles roster and Bengals roster side by side one. I don't know what to say. We haven't gotten to the bear Cats yet, have we. I watched that up close and personal on Saturday. Did the bear Cats quit? No? I don't think they quit. That's a tough deal. They It's a hard circumstance. I'm not making excuses for him. But new conference, new code twelve. They got the into the portal very late because of the coaching change thing. It's hard to keep a team
to all that. But they I think they, in my opinion, they need to go to the portal and get a stud quarterback, a great day stud quarterback. So rich people got to own up a million dollars for some of your buddies and and tell the starting football They say, Guy Batch, that I was going to coach the team and lead them to glory. Now nothing we got nothing like rich He's got all the money. Why why were we're spending money on like a medical facility? As if p will need a
medical facility in this town. You know what I mean, the Bangles, you need a medical facility. You know what I'm saying. Reds we got at least at least we got the Reds coming up. By the way, during the broadcast, we discussed some high level stuff. Here. Here's a clip of the broadcast the UC game. I did, what about skyline? If your final meal on your deathbed, what would it be would be four
cheese Cony's? And I may be throwing a three way too, and not that kind of three way, but like a freeway Chili and cheese is spaghetti? Wait? Where are you going? You know? I just you know there, give me some confusion. If you're not from Cincinnati, I'm he's the classification. After this play, Emery Jones, standing tall in the pocket will complete it to Henderson. Okay, what is a three way? It's God's gift to Earth. It's spaghetti, chili and cheese, and then a
four way of spaghetti, chili, cheese and onions. And so that's what we talked about during the game. We just wanted some free gift cards from Skyline. We have both gold Star and Skyline on the booth. Yeah, my buddy John Striff, he's from Vegas. He's never seen or heard of Skyline Chili or GoldStar Chilli or Cincinnati Chili. So I indoctrinated him. He loves it now. He's a true believer. You're welcome sick. Frank Zibel says he has faith. Why do you take away hope? You're eliminating faith

they want to run Ryan Day out of town. I guess. By the way, if you recall, go back to the tape I said four weeks ago, I said, what Michigan should do is just accept some sort of penalty, coach these three games without Jim Harball and get into the dance, because the worst thing that would happen would be you fight, you get him back, and then afterward the NCUBA comes down after you've won everything, and they say no, pull the banners down. All that. So now it's
not going to happen. You can say we took the slap on the hand and now see, you wouldn't want to be the beat Ohio State without their coach. That's how good Michigan is been saying since the beginning of the year. Georgia, Yes, what about Iowa. By the way, Michigan in that game, they went four on fourth down I think three times, if not four. It's hard to beat a team when they have these four downs to your three every time, fourth and one, fourth and three. Note
we're going to no doubt we're talent. I don't know about that. Michigan is going to have fifteen to seventeen players drafted off this team this year. What about Ohio State have a bunch. They have the best player in the nation and Marvin Harrison junior and he was great, but coming I don't know. And by the way, folks saying fire Ryan Day are insane. Who are you gonna get unless Nick Saban coach or Kirby Smart or maybe Urban Meyer
wants to come out of retirement. Those three guys you think about. If not, you keep Ryan Day. He's a great coach. He happened to run up against a behemo Michigan this year, an elite, elite team. And what's his crime? That's what I want to know. What's his crime? Yeah, you don't just fire a coach for the sake of firing. You fire him and say, hey, where there's a coach or an area we need to get better around. Okay, because it costs a boatload of
money. Tom Allen got fifteen and a half million to leave Bloomington's poetry compared to what Jim Bisher got seventy five million to kick it. But I'm just saying, when you have gone one more year with Jim Bo, just to save a little more of the seventy five mil. No, they just turn on the oil wells. They got the and they got the Duke guy, right, Yeah, Mike Elko, Yeah, if you are not happy with
