Transcript

Heyward on our website. Bonus, that's bonas. Enter it now, Billy cunning in the Great American welcome this glorious Monday afternoon the tri State. After all the exciting football yesterday that we were not involved in the Bengals et centa, We're back, loud proud in sase for so many issues, so little time later on as Moe Hegger breaking down the games of yesterday and more, plus the Xavier loss at Connecticut. But until then, our us centator from

Ohio is JD. Evans and Senator JD. Evans welcome again in the Bill Cunningham Show. Let's get right into it. According to media accounts, which I'm sure inaccurate, you Republicans and the Senator are about to approve a deal where five thousand illegal aliens every day come across the southern border, and then the President might declare an emergency, in which case you could cut it off.

My simple deer, Park Matt tells me that's approximately two million a year coming into the country illegally when they have little or no chance of getting a refugee status. Anyway, where does JD. Vance, the Senator from Ohio stand on the issue of allowing five thousand legal aliens coming in every day, and you Republicans seem to be an agreement on that. How's that possible?

Well, well, you'll be shocked to learn that. I think this deal is a disaster, and I don't think there's a Republican agreement on this at all. I think that what has happened is that a few Republicans have tried to play politics here and frankly, have gotten out negotiated by the Democrats and now are trying to force this deal through. By the way, Willie, we don't even actually know what's in it. The provision you just talked about, I think will be in the final package, but we haven't seen the

text. Normally, with these things, you want to actually read the bill before you vote on it, hopefully to give us time to do that. But here's the thing. If you are going to allow five thousand illegal aliens into the country every single day before forcing this sort of emergency border shutdown mechanism, why would you set that number at five thousand. Why wouldn't you set it close to zero? That would actually empower the president, whoever he might

be, to use of emergency authority to shut down the border. If you're going to let two million people in, why do it at all. The other crazy thing about this, Willy, is you go back to the Obomba administration. That's, of course, the last Democrat administration that we had. They said that if you allowed one thousand people in per day, it would overwhelm the system. So we're implicitly allowing five thousand per day with this so

called border deal. It's really a disaster for the country. The final point I'll make about this, Willy, is that it is political malpractice of the highest degree. Joe Biden has a terrible border problem because as soon as he became president, he ended remain in Mexico. He massively expanded the amount of illegal aliens he was parrolling into the country from about five thousand a year under the Obama administration to a million per year. That's non exaggeration, WILLI.

So he owns this border crisis politically, And if we're going to take a vote in the United States Senate, it should only be to do something that will fix the problem. But if you vote for something that simultaneously won't fix the problem and allows Joe Biden to say, well, at least he tried in a bipart is a way to fix the border. You don't get the political win. You don't get to win for the American people. It's lose

lose all around. So jd. Vance would oppose. I would say anything above zero, because one thousand is still one thousand, but five thousand is utterly ridiculous. When you think about individuals getting TSA clearance, I've been to many airports. You're in a lot of airports now you probably weren't in before. But if you're illegal TSA, you wave the line. You have no ID whatsoever. You're shipped all over the country to Catholic charities and other NGOs

to provide assistance. And I read a US Census Bureau survey that at the current trend we're going to have in the year twenty fifty, which seems like forever. I may not be alive in that year, but I'm sure you and your kids will be alive in that year twenty fifty, that we're going to have at least one hundred million more legal aliens inside of America then we

presently have. Population will be four hundred and sixty million. We don't have the infrastructure, don't have the public schools, don't have the don't have the highways and the byways, don't have the ers emergency rooms. We're not scaled to suddenly have one hundred million more people in this country. It's an ecological disaster. It's awful, it's terrible. Cincinnati has largely been spared, but not the other major cities where these people are shipped. The mentality is is

there a mentality in the US Senate with Senator Langford. I guess he's the point man from Oklahoma that this is an existential that's a great word, crisis that has the potential of destroying the United States of America when you erase the southern border. Is there a sense that this is an invasion that must be stopped or is this a minor problem that must be managed? Which is it? I think among most Republicans we recognize as an invasion that must be stopped.

But let me just explain the politics of this and how we got here, because I think it illustrates why it's a mistake to do this, but also how Republicans frankly got played by Biden and Schumer into the situation where in right now. So, first of all, Biden and Schumer wanted sixty one billion dollars for Ukraine, and a lot of Republicans agree with them. Of course I don't, but a lot of Republicans agreed. And so here is

the basic trade. Republicans weren't allow sixty one billion for Ukraine, but Biden and Schumer were going to agree to some real border security. Here's the problem with that, Willy Biden has the power to shut down the border right now, so the trades that it should have been made. If you want to trade Ukraine money for border security, you should tell Joe Biden that we're not going to ride another dime to Ukraine unless you get illegal border crossings very close

to zero every single day in this country. He has the power to do it with the laws that exist on the books. That deal was never put on the table. So what happened is we got into this weird rabbit hole where Republicans are giving more more, Democrats are taking more and more and giving less and less, and that has led to where we are right now.

One other issue, just substantily on this border bill, Willie, it's worth talking about what if, hopefully Donald Trump wins presidential election in twenty twenty four. He becomes president on January twenty twenty five, and this border package is in place. Let's say Donald Trump wants to get a legal border crossings to five per day, not five thousand, but five per day, which is

very close to zero. Do you have a group of illegal aliens backed by the ACLU doing him and saying no, no, no, because we have this law on the books now you have to allow up to five thousand per day. The risk of this is not just that it's a huge mistake now, it's that it hamstrings a future Republican president from enforcing the border, even if he wants to. We've got to be smarter than this Willie and stop being taken for a ride by very very bad Democratic lawmakers who don't want to

secure border. Why what is the motive, JD. You're a bright guy. Let's go to thirty thousand feet and look down on this country. We cannot afford what's happening presently, much less discontinuing if in November Michelle Obama becomes the president or god forbid, Gavin Newsom. I don't think there's any way in the world that Joe Biden's going to make it to that point or Kamala Harris, and they continue these policies for the next four to eight to twelve

years. What does America look like when we have an additional one hundred million, generally male, unattached aliens living in this country doing god knows what? What happens to the to the world in which we're living and in which we have. We can we can ride that, we drive the highways, we can go to go to a hospital every now and then, we can go to a public school. What happens to America if the Democrats have their way

and literally destroy the country through the invasion? Where do what do we do? Then? Well, first of all, Willie, that's that's that's the trick where you know this is an innocent people sleep persecution. It's out of the dictator's playbook that if you're persecuting people, it's usually women and children. And yet all the people pouring across the border claiming asylum in our country right now are like you said, young unattached men. Those are typically not the

people who are most affected by political persecution. It makes this whole thing so absurd. But here's the game plan, Willie. I want to be honest about this. It's all about politics, and you don't have to think much more about it than that. They don't care if they make the country dirtier, overcrowded, if they stress our hospital system and our school system by allowing one hundred million illegal aliens in the country, because they know, they know

Willie that they will benefit from politically. How does that work well? Right now, California has between three and five congressional seats that it shouldn't have over the state of Ohio. Why because California has the largest illegal alien population in the country under court rulings that have said that you don't just count citizens for

apportioning congressional seats, you count non citizens and illegal aliens too. So the game plan here, Willy, is to let these people in by the tens of millions, inflate the number of congressional districts you give to democratic leaning seats, and then effectively take over the country from there. It's all about political power. They don't care if they have to destroy the country to get there. There's a headline this morning. White House demands Speaker Johnson give Biden quote

authority and funding to secure the border. One of the lies told by Joe Biden is that all I need some more money to secure the border. Can you, JD. Vans, can you give the American people two or three orders? Now? Joe Biden, if he was serious, could take this afternoon to secure the border without funding and being involved at all. Yeah. So two things he could do, I really mean immediately, Willie, and

it would radically reduce the illegal immigration population of this country. Number one is he could re institute remain in Mexico, where if you come to this country illegally and you get a court date and then they release you into the United States of America, we don't hear from these people six years, ten years down the road. They're effectively in the country indefinitely. But if they have to go to Mexico to wait until their immigration claim is adjudicated, then a

lot fewer people will come to begin with. That's number one. And number two, he's got to take parole. This is purely under the discretion of the President of the United States. Obama uses this authority about five thousand times per year. Joe Biden is using it almost a million times per year. Take that pole number down to zero. You do those two things remain in Mexico, parole down to zero, you effectively deal with the water crisis immediately.

He won't do that. It doesn't cost a nickel, doesn't cost a penny. He doesn't need to do that, he doesn't need funding to do that. Why won't he do that? Because the real purpose is to overwhelm the system, to take more political power and keep control. Well, the checkbook. Whoever controls the checkbook controls the power. So after this November they want control of the checkbook. All right, So you're saying I want to move on to East Palestine and some other things. But you're saying number one,

what number one? Is this going to pass the Senate? With five thousand a day illegally coming in? Is that going to work? Answer good question, Willie. I think there's a good chance we can kill it. I certainly don't think it can pass the House. But well, even some of my Republican friends who support this deal, they're wrong about it the force, but they say that if they can't get a majority of Republicans behind this

package, they're not going to vote for it. I think that it's going to be really hard to get a majority of Republicans to support five thousand people a day anty for legal aliens, so hopefully we can destroy it. Let's move on to East Palestine. Almost exactly a year ago February third, twenty twenty three, Norfolk Southern had a terrible derailment in East Palestine, Eastern Ohio. It's in a god forsaken part of the world unless you happen to be

living there. If you're living there, that's your home. And since then you've been on this like white on rice, and I can recall the streams and the pollution. Here we are a year later, where the promises kept by government and by Norfolk Southern. No, they haven't been willing. I mean, look, we've made some progress here. The EPA has finally gotten to the point where it's focused on cleaning the waterways. I don't know why it took a year, but we've gotten there, and I think we're making

good progress there. The ground clean up thing that contaminated soil has finally finished. That's a good thing. You know. We've got some people I think we've been able to get reimbursements for their destroyed home values, but a lot of people are still waiting. And of course I think We're still waiting to bring some common sense rail safety to the country. So look, we've made

some progress. I'll continue to stay on top of it. I think fundamentally, the thing that the people of These Palestine want is a clean community, and they want the long term confidence that they can range their kids there without without suffering really bad health consequences. Have we done that, No, I'm still working on it. But it would be nice to have a Biden administration

who gave a crap about these people. And one of the just really shameful things that Joe Biden has done is he promised he would go and visit. I think his government has been at best lackluster about what's going on in These Palestine. And unfortunately, if you have a federal government where the President of United States doesn't care, it's very hard to get the resources and contention these people need. Should Cincinnati You're a Cincinnati and should Cincinnati worry about getting the

one point six billion dollars from Norfolk Southern. The closing is March fifteenth. When I read about Norfolk Southern, they're losing money handover fist. They've lost a billion dollars, They're about to lose another billion dollars. Should the Railway board here worry about getting the one point six billion to your question, Willie, I don't know. My guesses they're going to come up with that money because they really want that railroad. But it's not something that I followed.

Whether they're going to be able to pay up. I'd be shocked if they can. But you know, crazier things have happened, so we'll certainly look into it. Lastly, American soldiers are being killed. I don't know why American soldiers are in a foxhol somewhere in Jordan. We have seven hundred and fifty military bases in one hundred and twenty five different countries, and now three US soldiers are killed by drones. Headlines Mitch McConnell calls for striking Iran.

Iran threatens a nuclear strike on Israel if that happens. According to Tehran quote, we are on the brink, on the brink. I look at what's happening in Iraq where American soldiers have been attacked like two hundred times by drones and other missiles, all coming directly or in directly out of Iran. How do you process what happened with American soldiers being killed in Jordan, in Iraq?

How do you process the fact that the UN we paid the UN workers in Gaza's strip, and I guess fourteen of them were part of the massacre brigade who attacked Israel, and US taxpayer dollars are at stake there. First of all, give me your thought on what's happening with Iran. You're leader, so to speak. I hope you don't vote for Mitch McConnell ever again for be the leader. But he calls for striking Tehran Iran that could tip the world into a war nuclear war. How do you process all this?

You say a few things, Willy. First of all, our hearts go out, of course to the people who died serving their country. They're good people. We don't wish this course on anybody, but especially on some of our bravest. We've got to keep them in our thoughts and prayers. Second thing, Willie, is why were they over there in the first place. Every single American that is in that region of the world is a massive target that allows people to take advantage of us, to attack us, and of

course occasionally to kill our people. We've got to be much more careful about where we put American troops to begin with. Here's the thing. Will we have to do something when you kill Americans, We've got to respond. But striking Tehran is not what a statesman would do. We do not want to escalate this to hang into World War three. We want to attack some raining targets. We want to make clear that you can't attack our guys without getting

hit back hard. But we also need to after that have a serious conversation about how we get our troops out of that regional world and how we stop escalating this thing. We've got war in Israel, war in Ukraine, potentially war in Taiwan, potentially warren Iran. We cannot support Willie over a trillion dollars in debt, a four or five front world war. We've got to pick and choose. And I think that means we need to actually get a

lot of our troops out of the Belize. They're just massive targets over there, and I don't know what purpose we're serving by inviting people to attack some of our best and drivers. And I know you got to run. We also borrow every day about six billion dollars of brand new money that I'm not

going to be paid back. Jamie Diamond, one of the masters of the Universe in Wall Street, said that there is a predictive financial crisis coming to America in the next five years that's going to destroy the dollar and make the Great Depression look like a carnival. It's because we have a debt crisis.

We owe thirty four trillion. By twenty thirty, we're going to owe forty trillion dollars, none of which can be paid back, and at some point the interest alone is close to a trillion dollars a year, and the average American between a trillion, a billion and a million, have no idea what that means. Can you give me thirty seconds on the debt crisis America is about to face, Qui. Look, we're spinning way more than we take

in and we have no reasonable pathway to fiscal sanity. It's one of the reasons why Willy I think we need to be focused more on our own domestic problems rather than getting involved in another major global conflict. But look, the fundamental problem WILLI is is Congress. You know, we have all of these continued resolutions to get passed. We kick the can down the road. We actually take in a lot of tax revenue relative to a few years ago.

It's just that we haven't gotten spending under control after that post COVID boom and spending. We just get back to twenty nineteen spending levels, Willie, will be in pretty solid shape. That's what we should be focused on. We shouldn't be spending more money that we don't have. We should be focused on getting our physical house in order. Would you be Trump's running mate? I said, Willie, I'll help President Trump however I can, because I think

he's got to win. But I like being a senator. I think I can help President Trump and more importantly, the people of Ohio as a good senator. So that's where I plan to be. If he offers it, would you accept it? I certainly think seriously about it, William. And look, you got to help out however you can. And if he thinks that, you know, we can be an important team that I'd have to

think seriously about it. But like I said, as I've said to him, said to you, I think I'm best served and the people of Ohio are best served by having me in the United States Senate. Thank you very much, and You're not been institutionalized yet in Washington. You continue to be normal. Senator JD. Vance, once again, thank you for coming on the Bill Cunningham Show this glorious Monday afternoon. Thank you, JD. Thanksfully endure. Let's continue with more. He is not yet institutionalized, and I

pray never becomes. Let's continue. Bill Cunningham, News Radio seven hundred WLW, tired of career politicians with spines of rubber. Good News Southern Ohio. There's a new kid in Ti
