First of all, welcome again to the Bill Cunningham Show. And where does this kunt of weather this afternoon find the Ohio Secretary of State or you're out there on the roads claring things up? What are you doing on this snowy Friday afternoon? Well, you know what, on the snowy
Friday afternoon, I'm in the snowiest part of Ohio. I'm up in Lake County in the snow belt to speak to the Republican Club up here. Now. You know, in Cincinnati you get a couple of inches, they may cancel something like that. But Lake County you get six to eight inches. They're still having it. So I'm on my way there right now. Many things happening in politics. I had you on several weeks ago about Secretary of State matters before we talk about the election itself, and that is that it
appears the Democrats have decided not to let Democrats vote in primaries. New Hampshire is on Tuesday and the Democratic Party, the DNC in Washington has canceled the primary in New Hampshire for Democrats so that Democrats can't vote, and the running on a campaign of saving democracy, and the way to save democracy is to have Democrats not voting primaries and to indict the leadership of the opposition party and
sue them about five hundred times. And so I want to get your reaction to the Democrats determining on the state primary ballots not to have primaries so that Democrats can vote for Biden, so he's not embarrassed your reaction. I tell you what. One of my I guess the most entertaining things is the knucklehead liberals in their hypocrisy. And this is just a great example of it.
So these same folks that don't want to let people vote in a primary because it might hurt their guy Biden, they want to complain when I have the temerity to remove dead people from the voter role, when we check IDs in Ohio, when we actually verify signatures, when we expect that you you know, actually they change your voter registration address when you move things like that.
Listen, We're proud of the way we run elections in Ohio, but here's another example of them not really being as pro democracy as they say they are. They are intentionally targeting Donald Trump because they're afraid of him. They're afraid that he's the guy that can beat Joe Biden put this country back on track,
and they're trying to keep him off the ballot. I just joined with a group of other Republican Secretary's of State in an amicust brief in front of the US Supreme Court to say, guess what the voters should decide who their nominated for presidents going to be? Not some dredged up amendment from the Civil War reconstruction era that was meant to keep Confederate officers out of Congress. This is absolutely ridiculous, Franklin Rose. When you think about it, Democrats went
dead. People to vote, but not Democrats, and they run on a platform of we're saving democracy by having our Democrats not voting. By the way, is there a Democratic presidential primary in Ohio in March, Well, there will be. I don't know how much of a contest it'll be, but we always present that opportunity. And so you're gonna allow are you gonna allow Joe Biden actually be on the ballot in Ohio. Are you gonna allow that? You know, they turned in the right number of petition signatures, and
so yeah, it's funny. We believe in following the law and that's exactly what we do. And listen, we make it easy to vote and hard to cheat in Ohio and that's something we could be proud of. Secondly, i'm watching this morning. I think it was Fox News that might have been one of the other ones, And there's this story out of Colorado in which a four time deported Alleo alien from Cuba was Over the last two and a half years, he's been in the court system, page after page, and
they keep releasing him. A liberal state court judge and in Boulder, Colorado, on the third dui that he had let him go with a little bit of treatment, which didn't obviously work. He'd been deported after that, came back again to Colorado, and about a week ago he's driving one one hundred miles an hour, dead drunk in a car that kills a mother and her young son. And now the bond is two hundred and fifty thousand dollars.
Now the citizens of Boulder, Colorado are all angry about this. Judge who let him go on the third DUI and the fourth deportation, and he's back again. I believe you spent some time on the southern border, and it's the number one issue in the country. Forty five percent of Americans say the Southern border is exactly the problem, number one, because of money, because of crime, because of overrunning the schools, overrunning the emergency rooms. I
had a family member go to a Bethesda North about a week ago. She was sixty third in line in an er and a good hospital Bethesda North. There's a hospital in Denver, Colorado that is shutting down because they're two hundred million dollars underwater because thousands of illegal aliens use the services for nothing, so those who pay the bills can't be treated. Can you talk about if you become the next US Senator and thank God take the place of Shared Brown,
that you will vote to change that policy completely. Well, you're right. I did serve on the US Mexican border. I volunteered to be part of a counter narcotics task force as a soldier with one hundred and first Airborne Division. What we saw was a real mess twenty years ago, twenty plus years ago, it's gotten even worse now. We were finding people with bags of
cocaine shoved into the diapers of infants. They thought we wouldn't look there, But today it's fentanyl, and two hundred people a day in this country are dying a fennyl. I've got a pretty clear solution to this. First of all, we need to close the border. That means building the wall from the Gulf of Mexico to the Pacific Ocean. But a wall's not enough. Walls are effective, but you got to have men and women with guns that
guard those walls. Because to be clear, if you build a thirty foot wall, people can buy thirty five foot ladders, So you got to guard it. But you also got to take away the incentive. Taking away the incentive means no amnesty for those that come here illegally. If your first act in this country is breaking our laws, you should never be eligible for citizenship, your offspring should not be eligible for birthright citizenship, and you should never
be eligible for government benefits. And I believe this Biden surge that has come needs to be deported and sent right back. I watched TSA. You may not know it, but if you're an I legal alien picked up with the southern border so called quote migrant quote unquote, and they want to disperse you all over the country. The Catholic charities are elsewhere, these so called non governmental entities NGOs. What they do, of course, there's no ID, so they go to the front of the TSA line. The photo to be
taken is optional, doesn't have to occur. They go through the line, they jump the line, they get free airplane tickets somewhere in the country. They put in their palms a two hundred and fifty dollars debit card where you can buy stuff for two hundred and fifty dollars. They also give you an ID from the US government to say who you are. The photo is completely optional, and then they transport you to some city and you go. In
which case, people don't live in a state of suspending animation. They do certain things. And so is it fair that when Tony Bender gets on a plane, he's got to submit a urine sample and go through a practological exam. But if you're illegal, go to the front of line. You're not padded down. You don't know where you came from, what diseases you have, get you on the plane. Here's your Obama phone. Here's two hundred and fifty dollars, Debra card, it's all yours. Here's the airfare.
Don't have to comply even getting a photo. How stupid is that? You know, a few years ago it could have been dismissed as just incompetence or or you know, bureaucratic, you know, inability to do their jobs. Today it's it's intentional. This is a dereliction of duty by this administration to not secure our border, to not end the invasion that's occurring here. You
mentioned being sent to these American cities. I was on Army reserve duty this summer in Denver, Colorado, checked into my hotel, flipped on the TV, and I saw the Denver on TV complaining that the governor of Texas was sending bus loads of illegals to his city. Well, listen, Mayor, you declared your city a sanctuary city. Again that hypocrisy on the left, But now you don't want to bear the consequences of calling yourself a sanctuary city.
This invasion has to end. The Biden administration Secretary of Marcus should be impeached over this. It's absolutely incompetence Franklerosa on the issue of March first. Last couple of days, it appears that our champion and the Speaker of the House, Johnson, has struck a deal with the Democrats, a so called a CR continuing resolution that continues to March First, to kick the can down the road again for the next what six or seven weeks, and the spending
continues, The difficulties in the southern border continue. The Republicans, who we sent out as our heroes to solve these difficulties, collapsed once again. I've had more than one Republican tell me, we keep voting for Republicans and we
get Democratic light policies. You were a US Senator and this transpired, would you have signed on to a CR to maintain the status quo, keep borrowing trillions of dollars, keep the southern border wide open, to try to work on a resolution over the next six weeks, But would you shut it all down until we had a resolution itself? Shut it down until we have a resolution. Let me be clear, we don't relish the idea of shutting down
the government. That's not a good thing. But when it comes to protecting protecting the security of this country, ending this runaway spending spree that the bind administration has been on, ending this invasion that's occurring in our border, we have to be willing to take the tough steps. This is why in this race for US Senate, for example, it's not good enough to send somebody to DC who says they're a conservative. Every candidate and Republican primary is going
to say that I'm the one that's proven it. I'm the one that's stepped up time and again improven my conservative credentials. I run into battle, not away from it. And we have to hold the Democrats feet to the fire if we're going to get them to actually secure the border, and if we're going to get them to end this runaway spending, and that means a shutdown, if it's not avoidable, then that's exactly what we have to do.
And Franklerose, there are two other candidates, Bernie Marino and State Senator Matt Dolan. Why should someone vote for you and not for Marino or Dolan? Yeah, two reasons. One, this whole mission is to beat shared Brown in November. He's been misrepresenting us for too long, and this is the seat we have to win to take back the Senate majority. Put Republicans in
charge in the US Senate again, get rid of Chuck Schumer. And you know, if we're going to do that, shouldn't we nominate somebody that's actually proven they can win statewide elections. I've done it multiple times and with record numbers of votes. But even more important than who can win, who's going to go to DC and fight for our values. I'm the battle tested, proven conservative when it comes to securing the border, returning this economy to prosperity,
restoring parents' rights. Listen more than and I are raised in three school aged children. We don't want to co parent with the government. I don't think you do either. No, we want to raise our children with our values. We need somebody with a conservative backbone who's going to go to DC and actually fight and actually do the things we say we're going to do on
the camp pay Trill, I'm the only one that's proven it. Lastly, Frank LeRose, I would say this that conservatives go to Washington all the time and they become liberal. I can't imagine a liberal going to Washington and become a conservative and somehow there's something in the water of the air that you go to the cocktail parties, eat some Swedish meatballs, Suddenly the eyes roll back
on your head and you become liberal. Do you promise, if a luck that you will keep your rock rib Republican conservative principles and not collapse under the weight of Chuck Schumer. Not only promise, I've got a much more important incentive at home, missus LeRose would kick my butt if I turned in with liberal and tell these people do they show up in DCA. They want to be accepted on the cocktail circuit. They want to be popular with the lobbyists
and the think tanks and all of that. That's the problem with sending another elitist to Washington, d C. Listen, I'm an army sergeant that lives in an eighteen hundred square foot house raising three children. I live the way Ohiolands live, and I know that we're fighting for the soul of this nation and we're fighting to save this country. And so it's not about being popular. It's about putting America back on track and making sure we're not the first
generation in history to preside over the decline of this country. Oh, it's wonderful the democrats't run on a platform of democracies on the ballot. Then they bar Joe Biden from running in New Hampshire because you might not do well. The way to practice democracy is to practice democracy. But you can't run on a campaign of democracy and then bar the ability of Democrats to vote for someone like someone like the congressman from Minnesota who wants to be on the ballot and
who wants to run. That guy's Dean Phillips, and Dean Phillips wants to have a race in New Hampshire and they won't let them. And they've said if you have a primary in New Hampshire, we're not going to see the delegates. And the national media doesn't cover it because it doesn't fit their dye tribe.
