Tim Shauf is the President and CEO of The Commonwell Mutual Insurance Group.  Tim started his career with Algoma Mutual Insurance Company in 1992. In 1999 Tim took a position  with the former Farmers’ Mutual Insurance Company and was thrust into senior leadership early in his career . His 23 year involvement in the mutual insurance industry has also included sitting on a variety of Committees and Boards.  Currently, Tim is the Past Deputy-President of the Governing Council of  the Insurance Institute of Ontario, Past Vice-Chair of his local Hospital Foundation and sat on the NAMIC Board of Directors and served on their Membership Committee. Tim is very connected with his community and in addition to other charitable activities, he  takes a special interest in reading and learning about leadership and  organizational motivation.
