OK, so Speaking of Gap, let's get into episode 9. So even though it is my favorite episode, it opens with more
pain. So poor Mon is absolutely devastated and I swear if we took a shot for every time Mon was upset, we'd all be dead. And I think if we. Took a shot every time Sam said something she didn't mean. We'd also. Be even more dead. We wouldn't make it past the first episode. That's true. Yeah. OK, so Mon sad and crying her little heart out all night. And then we cut to the next day with Kirk and Sam. So Kirk basically, like, calls Mon and he's like, hey, Mon, my
bad, basically. I'm sorry Sam was mad at you because of my fuckery, so I cleared it up with her. You don't have to lie anymore about Facebook specifically. I didn't tell her about the other stuff. I don't let her about Facebook anymore. Mon's like, great. Like, Mon is, like exhausted, 'cause she didn't sleep. And she's just like emotionally drained. And she's like, whatever, whatever. Kirk, please get off the phone. So they hang up. And then Kirk goes to meet Sam
for coffee, I guess. And he he's like talking to Sam. He's like, yeah, I talked to Mon. She sounded terrible on the phone. And mom's like and Sam's like oh. Did she? Did she? Gay panic. So the two of them, in this conversation, they make promises to never lie ever with each other, which is so stupid because they're both lying to each other actively, because Kirk has the opportunity to be like Sam. By the way, the merger that I've been scheming, that's a huge thing.
I'm lying to you. It's bigger than the Facebook thing. But he's like, uh huh. Yeah, I won't lie anymore. Locks, lips, throws away key. And Sam's also like, I'm lying to you about dating them on So like, they're both mutually lying to each other. And so I I hate that they agree to this because there's no way either of them are keeping this. They're both still being
deceitful with each other. And I hate that Sam also doesn't capitalize on the opportunity to, like, come clean with him because, like, she knows she needs to. And it's just like, this would have been a good opportunity, 'cause he's like, hey, you're lying, I'm lying. Let's just clear all this stuff for right now. I hope everyone was screaming at the screen just. Talk to each other because like. Again, this is the perfect opportunity for them to just. Stop.
Lying. Yes, as you're making a promise to stop lying, I agree. But by like the end of the scene, I realized the thing that Kirk and Sam truly have in common is they're both giant cowards like they are. Like, we've known Sam as a coward since the beginning. And then Kirk, like, is just like the puppet for the grandmother. And so here they are. They had the opportunity to, like, do the right thing, be
brave, be true to their words. Both of them opt out, and instead they're like, mm hmm, no secrets. And then if you look at the shot of them, they both guiltily can't even look at each other after they make this promise. They're like, we'll just be mutually deceitful. That's totally fine, 'cause confrontation is bad. I hate confrontation. Like is essentially the two of them. So they're both cowards. Maybe that's what they bonded over as children.
Who knows? Must be I. Don't know I. Mean I I. Think that Kirk really thinks for the specific thing that he's still lying to her about. I think he.
Believes. He's helping her and going to be helping her and so she he's trying to like still keep that to himself because he's like she's gonna love this when when this finally comes to light like this is gonna be the best thing for her and she know like the it's not and but and then I I think I I feel like at this point as much as Sam's heart is hugging her one way she still does not want to like go against what her grandmother has planned for.
Her So at this point? I don't even know if she's completely or it makes it feel like she hasn't completely made-up her mind, and that might be why she's not telling Kirk that she wants to break up with him yet. It's like she's still in this. Maybe I'm just going to go through with it because I don't feel I have another choice. Still, I would agree with you if Sam hadn't said multiple times in this show I'm gonna have to tell Kirk eventually. Like, she knows. She has to tell him.
Like she's very conscious of that fact. I just she's still a coward. She's not Sam at this. Point you can No, sorry, go ahead. I was gonna say Sam at this point only acts in bravery when the stakes are real and happening right now. Like when she's actively losing Mon, that's when she does brave
things. But like, here's a low stakes situation, they're just they're drinking coffee, the jealous rage has blown over and Sam does not seize the opportunity to like, do the thing she knows she has to do. And like same thing with Kirk. Like, I I understand, they think like they they're in the right here, but they're not. Everybody's in the wrong in this, this thing, which is interesting. Yeah, no, everyone's definitely in the wrong. It's just like coming from the,
like, their own perspectives. They think they're doing the right thing. In this moment, specifically, Kirk is and then I Sam. Needs. To be doing. Something else. And she knows she needs to be doing something else, but she wants to push it off as long as she possibly can to not deal with the repercussions that are gonna come up because of it. Yes, because they're both cowards.
The same thing with Kirk. Kirk is like, I'm not telling you about the merger until it's done because yeah, it's same thing. They're both cowards, which is what I learned in this scene. Like, I never put that together until this moment. I was like, that's what you guys have in common. Also, side side note, Caitlin, look what I wore today because of how gay this episode is for podcast listeners unless theor some reason cuss this out.
Theor is wearing. A McCabe shirt If you don't know who Katie McCabe is, what are you doing with your life? You want some? Theo. And I have been bonding over Katie McCabe this summer, last summer and Risha and all the drama, yeah. What is that I? Don't know what that is. Oh my. God. Holy guy. Go Google it. OK, women's football. No kidding. It's women's soccer. Oh, it's soccer. OK, OK. OK. I was saying football because Katie plays, Katie plays in Ireland, but. Technically.
Arsenal. Arsenal. Yeah, Katie's in Arsenal. Arsenal. In London, Correct. OK, good to football. OK, Brooklyn wants to keep talking about Katie McCabe. Course she does. She's a gay disaster. That's why I picked it for this episode. OK, All right, so after the cowards talk to each other, we cut back to Mon. Who's at home, still upset And basically Sam drops by because Sam heard from Kirk. Mom sad, basically. Or not. OK, so she's like, I gotta go see her, 'cause this is my
fault. So she goes to mom's house and the parents are entertaining Sam and eventually they're like, we gotta get mom cause like the Queen's here. So I'm like, the mom goes to get mom and mom's like, absolutely not. I'm sick and Lady Poon's like, fuck. So she goes outside with the step dad and they're entertaining Sam.
And the mom tries to like break the bad news and she's like, listen Lady Sam, Sam's like, I've got all nothing but time teacher Poon. I'm just gonna sit here and keep looking at these cute pictures of Mon as a kid because I'm not done. So the parents are like, OK, I guess we'll just sit here with her. And then Sam proceeds to have this conversation with teacher Poon, which is like one of the best scenes, I think, in the whole show. And I I really love that they
put this in here. So she's looking at the pictures of Mon, and she's like, it's kind of amazing how adorable Mon was as a kid. And she's still fucking adorable. And the mom's like, OK, yeah, real glad that you adore her. That's not weird that you said that. I'm glad glad you think so. Well, you know, Mon grew up to be this amazing person you love because she had you to idolize Sam. And Sam's like, no, that's not why. She's like the reason Ma is so great is because you're great.
And she had a loving, supportive family. And I look at Sam's like when I was a kid and you took in my dog that I couldn't keep like you showed me an did an act of kindness to me as a kid and I never forgot that. So she's like, Ma's a good person because you're a good person basically. And and in the in that dialogue, she compares Mon's mother to her own mother, which I think is really revealing. She's like, you remind me a lot
of my mother. My mother genuinely cared about me, not just like so socially what was going on with me, but like me as a person. And Mon's mother did the same thing and so well, well, we don't really know what happened to Sam's mom. Like again, I get the impression she, her mother, really did care about her. And when she lost her, she kind of lost that like parent that was like or like parent figure that was like looking out for her as a whole person kind of thing.
And even her sisters didn't really seem to have that relationship with each other, which is kind of sad. So I like that Sam has that seems to have that bond with Mon's mother. So I just, I hope in the future, like after the show ends, that like, Sam is able to kind of have that relationship with Mon's mother and maybe like, heal her inner child and like and have somebody that, like, genuinely cares for her. Like that, the way Mon is so lucky to have, you know? Yes.
This this. Brings me to my theory that I have been working on that I completely forget. So I should read words from word I wrote. I know some of it, but not enough to explain it without reading. OK, so my theory is that Sam's parents, or at least mom, recently passed away at the time that we see her as a kid in the show, Like Percy here and Sam and her mom at that time. We're talking about getting a dog before she passed, and when she did, Sam tried to get a dog
to keep the mom's memory alive. And she knew she had to hide the puppy though, because even then she knew things wouldn't be the same and she would start having to hide herself. Because I'm assuming that her parents and her had like a good relationship and that's why she wasn't like beaten down as a child until afterwards Anyway, when Mon and her mom showed her kindness and took the dog in, this was the first time she had this affection since she lost her mom and it meant even more
to her. So maybe. Mon's mom. Was like a stand in mom for her while she was at school. For sure. I agree with I agree with that piece for sure. I like how you made the dog this giant symbol of love that tracks, That tracks. I don't know about Sam's parents plural, 'cause we never hear about her dad, but at least the mom that tracks for, like, the mom. Also, try saying Mon's mom five times fast. What is it five times? It's like Mon mom and champ. Yeah, teacher poon. Yeah, OK.
But basically this interaction continues and Ma's mom sings Sam more praises and then she's like, Sam, you're the best. You're so smart and just like, I don't know, competent and wonderful and you haven't changed at all. Like Ma told me you changed, but I still see the same kid I saw all those years ago and Sam's like, yeah, you're right, I I haven't changed. I'm still a giant coward and I like that she says that out loud.
Like admitting what we've been seeing the whole time, that Sam is self aware of her biggest like fault essentially. And in this moment, like she just like she didn't fully fight for SUA 'cause you're right Caitlin, if she like you mentioned this a while ago, you were like, if Sam really wanted the dog, she'd figure something out. But like she gave up so easily. Like she was like, I got the puppy, It's been an hour. I can't keep the puppy.
She tries to leave it in a parking lot, which is Sam. Well, that was wild. But she didn't actually fight to try and keep the dog, like, at all. She just gave him up. And she does the same thing with Mon over and over and over again, like like her wants versus like what her actions do ultimately in the end never align up to this moment. And so like, well, and Sam is very aware of that. So I like that she says this out loud. I think that's really important
to hear. Then the mom's like, well, OK, I don't know where this comes from, but she's like, you know, what you should do is she's basically into this advice where she's like, you know, you should probably take some time to do things for yourself. Which I think this advice is really interesting. And I think it's something that sticks with Sam. And I think this is how we get to the end of this episode. But she's like, you should take some time for yourself. See what your heart really
wants. Sam files that shit away. Then the mom's like, you know what you should also do is you should take care of Singa for a day and I guarantee you you'll be more exhausted than if you worked an entire day at your job. Which I thought this was really funny that she brought this up. And also I would pay to watch Sam try and take care of a dog for a whole episode. Can you imagine how funny that would be if we just had Sam
trying to take care of the dog? A puppy though that's not house broken 'cause I think that would be even funnier. I mean it goes for an elderly how long? How long before Sam calls mom? In 5 minutes? Yeah. And like, the whole house is in disarray. And just like, I just, I would pay to watch this, 'cause I think it would be really funny to watch Sam, which inevitably would be Mana and Sam trying to take care of the dog. So what if she takes the dog to work? I think that's anyway I would
pay to see that. That'd be hilarious. I would take anything with more dogs, it writes itself. But like imagine her taking the dog to the office and then like poor Auntie May has to like it would just be such a mess. I'm just, I'm picturing no matter where it is but the dog gets toilet paper stuck to its paw and it's just like running around the offices. It would be so funny. All I'm imagining is the dog is the Sam is just like showing
videos. Like you know how mom was showing a video of I think it was Sam to the dog. I think that's all it would be. It's just them sitting on the floor, Sam and the dog sitting on the floor and just showing videos. While the dog is just like, what are you doing? What is? This saying we It is Canon that Sam watches a lot of television. Yeah. So yeah, watch TV together.
She would watch TV with the dog. So while the house would be like in disarray and stuff, she would be on the couch watching TV with the dog when mom comes in and she's like. Fiora. While my dog barks. Sit, sit. I need to say something. She'll she'll discover dog. TV. Oh my God, she's TV. Yeah, and ducks TV. My dogs listen. Watch ducks dog TV. But ducks for dogs for eight hours? When we leave. So that's the only thing that keeps them from barking. Don't know why.
Sam would put on the lion mating video because she's not a great parent. Let's keep it 100. Not everyone needs to be a parent like Jim. Oh my God, she calls Jim for advice. That would be Anyway, where is this episode anyway? OK, all right, let's move on. We could be here all day. OK, so while this scenario is playing out in Sam's head of taking care of Sewa, Mon gets caught eavesdropping by her step dad. This scene is actually kind of
cute. Like Mon is mad, obviously, but she's like creeping around the corner watching this interaction that's actually really cute, which is like Sam bonding with her parents, which in any other circumstance. And SUA or Sinka, sorry, in any other circumstance this would be extremely endearing, but Mon is big mad because she has every right to be pissed off at Sam right now, so the dad catches
her. He's like, hey Mon and she darts to the kitchen and she's like, listen, I'm just grabbing water
and then I'm going back to bed. I am not here to talk to Sam ho Sam ho. And the dad's like, OK, calm down Mon. And he's basically like listen Mon like the Queen's here and the queen is your boss and the queen seems to be a good boss because I assume you guys are fighting cause look at you and look at her and so she came all the way over here to like make peace with you the employee like you should really give her the benefit of the doubt.
You're being rude right now and just I hate this scene because like the dad is making points, but he doesn't know the full story that like Sam emotionally abused Mon in the last episode and so like Mon has every right to be like, fuck you saying. No, she's been emotionally. Abusing this girl since the very beginning. Without.
Her bullshit, but like this one was really bad, where she basically accused her of all this stuff and then called her a very derogatory slur like wow like and like Mon has every right to be like I don't want to see you after the way you just treated me and the dad's like you're the one being rude Mon. So I hate that it like it comes off as gaslighting in a way. But he's not the full story obviously. But I hate this. He's like Mon you really need to talk to her. But the.
Parents are also like. She's not going to get support from them because they're star struck by Sam whenever they love Sam. Because when Lady Poon comes into the room to talk to Mon originally, when Mon's like laying down, she calls her My Lady Sam. So, like, the parents love Sam, which is the problem, but they don't understand the full extent of what the why Mon's upset. They're just like, oh, you guys had a little fight. They had a very big Sam really fucked up fight.
So yeah, so basically on the surface, all they see is they're like the Queen's being nice to you and you're being rude to the queen. Go be nice to the queen. Yeah. So I hate that cause Mon's the victim here, and they're just like, you're being rude. Stop being rude, Mon. Mm hmm. Cole. Oh, there's other stuff, OK. I already said it. We said it all. Whatever. Fine. So to to me, this kind of felt like when parents don't realize you're dating someone and all of a sudden, well, yes.
No, but. Then all of A. Sudden you've like broken up with them and the parents are like, oh man, we miss seeing them around all the time. And it's just like, well, this. And you haven't told your parents to begin with that you were dating this person. Or like, it's like a more intimate relationship than just a friendship. And then all of a sudden you like, have cut them off and the parents are like, whatever happened to this person and why aren't they coming around
anymore? Oh, we love them so much. They should come and sit like to have them come over sometime and and it's just like, oh God. And you don't want to tell them the truth of like having been dating them and now you're not dating them. So they're just not going to be around anymore? I think. That was a plot of a Christmas. Movie we all tried to watch. I was just, I was just saying Caitlyn.
I was saying guys this is the plot of Iris Kelly doesn't date also which that's out right now if you guys want to check out the book club. But yeah, like, it's literally the plot where the parents are like, I miss them so much. You guys were so good. Oh my gosh. Yeah, with Iris. 'S fit. Oh my God, she's. Like, I had a legitimate reason for breaking up with this person. So yeah, no, it's so true. But this is just complicated by the fact that they're like she's the queen mom.
What the fuck? Yeah. And to be fair, like, it does read like the queen is paying a lot of attention to you. Or like, your employer really does care about you. She bought us a grocery store the other day. Like, you know, it just, they don't know the context. And it just looks really odd that Sam is doing, 'cause Sam is weird. Yeah. And they'd be like, yeah, she's just a weirdo. But yeah, I just. I just feel bad for Mom, 'cause it just, she's sitting with all
those feelings. And just like this doesn't help, you know? It doesn't help. It doesn't. Help. But towards the end of the conversation he actually gives her good advice where he's like, oh actual advice where he's like mom lesson like because mom's not forthcoming with what the hell happened or how she feels or stuff. She's just like I wanna hideaway and just like be away and he's like listen mom like bottling up your feelings is really bad and
and unhealthy. Like the the best way to live is really to like self reflect and like have the courage to say how you feel. Because honesty is the only path to happiness and really he needs to say this to Sam and not mod which Sam overheard this and be like. I should do that. She's gonna have an. Entire notebook of just things to like remember or whatever like. Sam. She needs it. She needs a Bible. Of. You know how to be a person. Yeah. I'm telling you though, Sam file
should away. If Sam overheard this, she would file it away. Like when lady put the the lady put teacher phone is like, you know, you should take take some time for yourself and figure out what you want. Sam's like, got it files it away. That's how they end up on the Isle of Lesbos. I'm pretty sure that was the advice. And she's like, I should get away think about this.
Yeah. So I wish you overheard this And she's like, tell mom the truth, which is what mom keeps asking me to do. It's just it's hard for her. She's getting there. OK. Anyway, she's trying. She is trying. She her character growth is actually pretty astounding in the whole show. But. She's. Ma goes through it, but once Sam gets there, Ma's a lucky one. OK, so we gotta get we gotta get there. So at this point, Ma's like, I there's no getting out of talking to Sam.
So they go to her room, which is less embarrassing cause Sam's already seen it. Now Ma's like, yes, there's my stalker wall. Whatever. Get out of my room. Sam, I don't wanna talk to you and Sam. Basically, like comes in and hugs Mon and then tries to, like, downplay the bullshit from the last episode. And I don't fully understand the beginning of this scene because she comes in and she's like, Mon, I don't know why you sent me away before I could finish
saying what I was saying to you. The last thing she said to Mon was like, she's like, wow, you keep jumping into the arms of all these men and basically calls her a hoe is basically what happens, which is what Wang Pong is. It's like, yeah, she'll be like you're a two time at hoe is basically what she said. There was nothing following that up when she said that. So I don't understand the beginning where she's like, no, I sounded very final. Like that was the last sentence. No.
Exactly. That was a very final thing that she said. And then she's like, get out of here, Mon. But then she's like, you didn't let me finish talking. And it's like you weren't done talking, Sam. So I'm like, is she just like retroactively being like what I meant to say Mom was, I promise I didn't need it as the derogatory insult it was in that heated moment. Yeah. I don't understand how she approached this in the beginning at. Night.
She was definitely laying there be like, OK, so that went deeper than I thought. All right, so how can I spin this? How do I How do I save myself? Yeah, like. OK. Well, like. There's two of them, but like. We could, but if I. Put it like this maybe? Maybe she won't take it as bad. Also, I think, you know, I think it's self reflection too. She's like, I'm Wang Tong in this situation. I have Kirk and I love Ma. Well, actually she's not because Sam's like I only love one of
them. The problem with Wang Tong, she's like I love these two men like go off clean. We don't care. Society cares. We don't care. But Sam's like, I'm kind of also in the wrong here. So let me just compliment Ma and be like. But she's smart and she's hot and she's just like you. Ma. Ma's like, God damn it Sam, what the fuck? And the the. Facial reactions are just like are you serious? Ma's reaction is my reaction. Like, Sam, what are you doing? Who let you talk on your own
right now? Did you clear these things with tea first? You're like T Should I go in there and be like Wang Tong's hot? Say Oh no. Oh boy. So this was this is confusing to me as well. And at first I. I didn't know as as we all were unsure why she was bringing this up again, so I tried to figure out what she might possibly have been trying to say. So I googled if there was anything else about this Wan thong situation that we may have missed somehow so.
I think I found. Possibly what they could have been mentioning or trying to throw in to make the calling her clever and hard working thing make any kind of sense 'cause that's not the original take on this story. So there actually was a show that came out in 2021 called Wan Thong and it's a spin on the original folk tale of I'm gonna pronounce this really badly, Kun Cheng and Kun Fain. Those were the 2 lovers she was in.
Yeah, so this. So the original story is where Wan Thong gets beheaded at the end for not being able to decide between the two of them. But in this new version which the I found a summary of 'cause I did not watch it on on Thai PBS world, it's being told from Wan Thong's point of view and it's basically saying that a beautiful lady who rises to fight for her dignity and she. Wants her. Voice to be heard and she thinks women and men should be equal. And then there's a. To to quote the.
The article in my life, Not once did I have a chance to choose, said Wan Thong in the series as she recalled her fate. In the end. To to her delight, as she could. I don't know what I'm reading anymore. What is happening? Summarize what happens. Yes, can you. Summarize I got. All right, so basically. Great job, Cole. And I'm so glad you found this 'cause this is not only right up my alley, but makes perfect sense. So let's think about the Wang Tong story.
So the Wang Tong story, like it took place like 100 plus years ago, right? And at the time, at the time, Thai society, Well, Thai society still like America. It's a patriarchy. So men rule, all right? And so in patriarchy, before we knew genetic testing, to be able to be like, who's the dad of this baby, basically the way they, like controlled women was by forcing monogamy onto women.
Monogamy with one man. Notice men can have multiple wives and nobody cares, but the woman has to be monogamous because that's the only way to trace the lineage of the child because it goes from father to it's paternal, not maternal like it used to be back in the day. Because you can. Proof of the mom is you're like, well, I saw the baby come out of that woman, so it's their baby. But to prove the dad, you have to force women to be monogamous, basically.
So in this, in this myth, it's a cautionary tale for women for what happens if you're not monogamous. So this is a woman who's like, well, I can't choose between these two guys. I love them both, which, like, go off queen, I don't care. But society cares, 'cause they're like, you can't have two men. That's blasphemous. So the government beheads her. So it's a cautionary tale of, like, why women need to be monogamous. It's by force, essentially.
So if you think about that story and the moral of it, 'cause like she's basically, if you read the if you didn't catch all that, if you read the translation in the show that they say slut shaming, which is exactly what that's what Wang Tong, it's like it's like a it means a ho. That's what it's like a slut because the whole story is slut shaming this woman. But in this show, basically like it's a feminist retelling where they're like, well, clearly the poem was written from a male
point of view. Let's tell it from the woman's point of view. And so from her point of view you get the nuance of, like, I was just in love with two people and like, I don't think I should be beheaded for that. So. And they apparently changed the ending and stuff where like, she doesn't get beheaded. Spoiler, I want to see this so badly because like, yeah, like the minute you like, tell it from her point of view, the story completely changes. Like, I love reading stories
like this. Like, I just read Stone Blind by Natalie Hines, which is like a Greek myth, and it's a retelling of Medusa's story, 'cause everybody's like, oh, she's evil and like, blah, blah, blah. They're like, no, she was like, essayed and like all this stuff. And it's like, yeah, no wonder she turned out the way she did. She was abused. And it's kind of like the same thing here.
Like, once you like, flip the script, it becomes a she's humanized now versus like in the poem, it's the complete dehumanization of the woman. And then in the end, you're like, yeah, she should behead her children. Don't be like that. So I love this. And so I can totally see Lady Sam watching this and being like, yeah, go off queen. Like, you know what I mean? She's like, follow your heart, 'cause that's what Sam is doing.
She's like, but I bet you it, it feels like Sam, like, went home after that whole thing of like, calling and like was just like, OK, fuck, like, how do I fix this now? Google, like, let's. And then this, Yeah. And then this came up. And she was like. Oh, I gotta watch all of this. I would love to know Sam's Google history. I would love to compare Sam's Google search to Nick from Heartstopper. And like Sam's would be wild though. It'd be like, what is a girlfriend?
Who is Wang Tom? Meanwhile, Nick's is just like, how do I help my boyfriend through a really hard right? He's like, what are eating disorders? Sam's like how to be a person. I would just love it. I just, I would love to know, Sam, how not to be a little shit to your girlfriend. How to marry your partner in Thailand. Mm hmm. Anyway, wait, no, the other one. That was like how to make Mon happy. Like why wouldn't tell me how to make up with Mon. Anyway, I love Sam.
She's just the worst. But she's so funny. I love her. She tries she just tries so hard. And I'm with you, Cole. I she it is so Canon that this woman watches a ton of television and so like, I'm pretty sure she takes life lessons from TV. So I can 100% see Sam watching that and then being like, you know what? She's kind of great. Just like Mon. If you think about the retelling, like you were describing it, Wang Kong is like courageous. And so is Mon. So.
And that's what Sam's in do. So I can see Sam watches being like, you know, she's kind of hot. I get it. I get it. She's a lot like Mon. So she's so in the context of the show, she's telling her that she's like, listen Mon she you're so much like her. And Mon's like, who has never seen this show cause Mon doesn't watch TV the way Sam does. She's like, wow, kicking me warm down again, Sam. Jesus, she's always doing that. You know, when she was in the garden. And she's like, I like you, I
don't hate you. And mom's like, that means you hate me. Like, wow, OK, cool. Like she's doing this. Like, from mom's point of view, Sam's doing the same thing here. But Sam's like, no, no, no. I've seen the light feminism and all that. I get it. I get it, Mon. Ended list. I see the light. Yeah, no, that that's Sam, 'cause she's seen that too. And Mom's like, this bitch is always kicking me while I'm
down. Oh God. Oh, poor there. Just the communication just needs to be like they just keep missing each other with like the communication. It's just like Sam is like, yeah, like these things. All of this stuff is great. And moms like, are you kidding me? Like this is not what I'm asking you for. Like this is this rude? Sam tries, though. She's just, she's not a person. She's just such a sheltered little thing that like she's like, no, no, no, Ma, I get it.
And like they're like we have not had the same experience to where this makes any fucking sense Sam. Like, but OK, so to Sam's credit, she she tries by like talking about the TV show I assume like Cole was saying, which totally tracks. So then when Ma doesn't understand that Sam's like, OK, let me just play into the poem because clearly you know the poem and she's like, OK, you're my Wang Tong, basically. And she's like, who do you want me to be? Which of the men, who is the
best? I'll be, I'll be the best man. And then my, I was like, I don't want any of the men. Like, come on now. This is why I'm. Dating you? I don't want men. Exactly, Sam and. Then Sam's like, OK, the dog. You like dogs? I'll be the dog. So she, like, kneels and then is like little sham, Sham. I'm sham, Sham, Mon, Mon, sham, sham. Which Mon can never resist. I think this if the Google search could say how to make up with Mon, it would just be like, be a dog. That's what they would say,
'cause it works every time. It works every single time. Mon's like, OK and like I see him, really plays into the myth, though. It's very cute and she's like just trying to get her to smile and it starts working and she ends it with the the sham, sham thing, which Mon finds
irresistible, like, clearly. And so once she gets Mon to, like, loosen up a little bit and, like, laugh and acknowledge her presence versus being like, saving the hell out of here, that's when Sam, oh actually apologizes. I like the way she did this. Like, I think, like, normally I'd be like, can you just apologize immediately? But I think she's trying to get like, Mon to, like, cool off a little bit, 'cause she clearly, Mon was very agitated.
And so she's like, OK, relax, now listen to me. Also Sam's a. Disaster. I could just do that. But she generally apologizes to Mon, and she's like, listen, I was so fucking jealous. It was ridiculous, Which, like, this was cute to hear for Mon because like, Sam, like, Kirk said the same thing. He's like, wow, Sam was so jealous of me. That was kind of hot or whatever. And I think Mon was so upset. She's like, wow, whatever. So Sam's like, no, no, no. I was jealous that men were
coming after you. Like, and mom's, like, really interesting. And she's like, listen, I was just so jealous. I just said all those horrible things and like, I'm I'm really sorry. Like it hurt me to say those things too. I was just upset. And like then she says a very interesting truth to Mond. Kind of just like completely seal the deal with this. She says from now on, no matter what you do, what you want and no matter what you want me to do, just say the word and I'll do as you wish.
All I asked was that you come home. So basically she's saying from now on, whatever you want, it's your from me. It's yours. Just please come home with me. That's all. But Caitlin mom has seen this film before and she didn't like the ending. I think I've seen this film before. I love that song. Is that Taylor Swift all the time? Yeah, of course. Paul. It's like I don't recognize. That do you? Know what song it is? Caitlin Exile. Hell yeah. TikTok.
I really like that song. I love that song. OK. So mom's like, we've been here a million times, Sam, and every time you disappoint me. So I'm just gonna double check one more time that Do you really mean you'll give me anything I want? And, like, she means anything? And Sam's like, yeah, of course. And Sam's energy in the scene is basically like, I would give you the universe if that's what you wanted. Mom, Just say the word. It's all yours. And, like, the sentiment is cute.
But I think really, Mon, very basically, is just like, I just want honesty from you. Like, pure, blunt, all unadulterated honesty. That's it. And she's like, OK, I can tell you're being honest with me in this moment, so I forgive you. For now, let's go back to your house. And really, for me, my read on Mon on the scene is basically, she's like, yeah, let's get out of here, 'cause I want to test this claim of yours that you've changed and you're gonna take what I want and what I need.
Seriously. So let's get out of here, away from my parents, and we'll see how those goes. So, but she, she does say the word like, well, go to your house. And Sam very gently corrects her. She's like, no, our house. It's our house. Which is not only the most romantic thing Sam has ever said at this point in time, it's also extremely insightful into Sam's state of mind in general because I mentioned a while ago they yes, there's like, lingerie at
Sam's house now at this point. That's mom's half the closet's pink. The shopping thing was EU Haul like. OK, the first date. The first date. She's like, what else do you need, Mom? Do you like Tylenol? Aspirin. Like what do you. I just need to know all the things you need. But OK, so our home. Think about it. Sam has this giant mansion, and that's always been her sanctuary
because like. She's kind of gets to be who she who she is in the giant mansion, like away from the grandmother's eyes, away from Kirk, constantly staring at her like no humans except maids are allowed at this. It's like it's her private place where she gets to be herself because she always has to perform and wear the mask and like all that kind of stuff. So that's where she gets to be,
like, unabashedly herself. Essentially, the first person she ever welcomes into the giant mansion as a guest is Mon. And the thing that distinguishes a house from a home is love. And I don't think Sam has ever thought of this house as a home before Mon showed up. And before Mon became like, a fixture of the house. Now Sam's like, I can't even be in this house without you. Like, what is the point of being here? So just like work.
Yeah, exactly. Yeah, Mon work gets replaced with Mon at towards the end of the season. But what Sam is actually admitting in this moment where she's like, no, no, no, our home. What she's admitting is that Mon is really her source of love and happiness. Which she doesn't vocalize with those exact words until the finale, but she's basically saying it here with like the statement and the way she behaves around Mon in the giant mansion.
So very indicative of her headspace and what she actually thinks about Mon, because Sam has a hard time saying exactly what she feels, but she does things that show exactly how she feels. It is worth noting though that when she says things like this, at least up to this point, they are still alone behind walls. Nobody else can see this interaction, just a private moment again.
So Sam is still in the in the place where like she can say things honestly and candidly when it's just her and Ma. And once other people get in the mix, that's when Sam doesn't know how to be her authentic self without some level of, like, poker face contrarian. Exactly. Because if you think about it like, it's hard when she's clearly very comfortable with Mon, and so she's comfortable with, like, just saying how she feels without thinking about it.
But she's not comfortable with other people yet until she gets into situations where she's about to lose Mon. Or it has to do with Mon. Because in the past, the past episode where like Nop was like, are you guys dating? And sounds like, yeah, yeah, the fuck we're dating. Like she will be candid when she's like it has to do with Mon and she's really upset or like she's about to lose Mon. But outside of that, she still does the hesitating stuff. Mm hmm. I did.
Before we move on, I did. Like your choice of words for calling the mansion her sanctuary and 'cause it wasn't her home. And I think you're right about that. I think it was a safe place without her grandmother, but it wasn't. It was just safe. Like there was no other attachments to it until Mon stepped in there and became a like, you called a fixture of the house and everything. Like, I think that's a really. And it became a home from that moment. And she was like, oh, you know
what? I do like being here with somebody else. And it doesn't have to just be this like very like a cold place. Yeah, 'cause my, the reason I choose those words, and you're right, I chose those words very specifically is because like, look at, look at the place. It's so sterile looking like there's like nothing really in it. It has like, no personality. Like, it's yeah, it's chic looking and there's nice furniture and she's got like clap lights and it's like a very nice place.
But there's no personality at all in that mansion. There's like nothing in it. There's no pictures anywhere. Like, it's very sterile. I. Think Sam opened one of those, like furniture brochures, saw a sample thing which was like, yes, that one put it there, that give me that. Yeah, No, exactly. I don't think any none of her personality is really. It's a void of personality and like, yeah.
And it doesn't start changing and brightening and like becoming more of a home until Mon starts actually being there And this and it's yeah, I think that's why Sam chooses to call it our home. Not like because before she's like come to my place place not home. So I don't think she really knows her personality until. Mon either. I think she's been like avoiding her personality since she was a kid because negative
reinforcement. I mean, we see the scene later where it happens, but so we'll get into that. I think it's the last. It's it's a safety mechanism. It's something it's she's trying to protect herself and trying to be safe and her being herself causes problems within the only people she has close to her like so she's just like there is a wall and it's impenetrable and you it's there's a lot of distance between her and other people and her and even family.
There's there is nothing connecting her to other humans. Sam is fighting generational trauma, basically, and and she's the one that breaks the curse, actually. Put so much pressure. Yeah, 'cause, I mean, look at what happened to all of her sisters. And like, this is a this is partially A cultural thing also like East versus West, like philosophy when it comes to self versus like the family unit and things like that. And so Sam is like actively breaking a generational curse
right now, which is hard. And she's doing her best, so. Yeah. All right. So I think it's worth noting also in the scene cause again in the back in the scene with her and Mon. I think it's important that like Sam is is allowing herself to process her actual feelings 'cause she does vocalize out loud like how she felt and like how it hurt and stuff to Mon, which is big. She doesn't. She tends to avoid feelings, not discuss, but she's like processing them with Mon, which is really good.
But it is still worth noting Sam is still a giant coward that doesn't fight for Mon where it counts. Like yeah, she came here to make up with her and she's like let's go back and hide in the home. She still hasn't come clean to Kirk when she had the chance. She still doesn't come clean
with the grandmother. So like, while she is like getting Mon, she's still not like doing the things that need to be done to like, stop all this bullshit, basically so she's not fully there when it comes to like, being the brave person like she needs to be and that, like Mon actually needs her to be. But in defense of Sam, telling Mon how she feels is still a big deal because before Mon, she told absolutely nobody how she felt.
She just did the same thing Mon's step dad was saying, where she just bottles it all up, ignores it, Like, remember her birthday, where she runs away and Mon's like, what are you doing? You just slapped Jim. And she's like, I don't want to talk about these feelings. Why do you keep bringing up these hard things that I don't like talking about? So Sam is growing like she's she's getting there, but it's like, it's very challenging for her to do. So she's on a journey.
She's on a journey, She's she's getting better, but she's not quite there yet. What a fast journey though. Like if this is a real life like this. Is. What, a couple months? And she's not in therapy. It's impressive. It actually is impressive. It is a don't stop. Believing. So you kept saying the word journey. Over and over. I was like, the only thing I got. Sorry, Caitlyn. Everything will be a song in my head somehow. How's this for you?
This scene ends with them hugging and three crossfades I'm confident Caitlyn loved. I am sure at this point I was trying so hard to block it out. That and then while going back and doing notes, I was watching it on two times the speed, which is basically normal television speed for the actions. That's true. I just say, 'cause I was like doing it like, yeah, like the background music is like fast or hot mess. This is normal actions. Honestly, my brain, like, started fading out.
The cross fades for a while. But then when you put screenshots on there and I'm like, oh God, yeah, I know there were these crosses when I was like really like focusing on the. It's wild like that. Like the one that I know you're talking about later episode. It's just like I I can't ignore this. I know it's so. Stupid. It's so stupid. It's so stupid. There's ones during their like, sex scene. What are their sex scenes too? I'm like, why are we
crossfaiting? Right. Anyway. I have no problems with it. I just think I ignore them most of the time. But they are really they're not. They're just. I think they're just, it's that's what they had in the editing room and they're like, we're just gonna. But they didn't. Even, like, adjust the timing at all. It was just like the stock timing. They just so added it in the timeline and it's 'cause it's so slow too. Yeah, it's true every single time.
It's either the stock time like of like one second or they made it longer 'cause that's the only. Yeah 'cause like in this scene basically like they're not moving, they're just hugging and it cross fades to show Mon's perspective, Sam's perspective Mon perspective, which is not what you use a cross fade for. No, you can easily. OK, so my editing teacher was basically like take out the cross fades. If it works with just you doing straight cuts, it's fine, you don't need it.
And even if you think you need it, you don't need it. I know I'm. Just. Sorry, so I was right. Caitlin want this? Call. Call. Call. Call. Anyway, let's go back to the house. So Mona agrees to get out of there and they go back to their house. And by the time they get back to their house, it is now night time. So Sam must have taken the longest, the long route back home. Oh yeah, the the timing. Of scenes when it was like, light and then immediately
darkness. I'm like, where did the sunset go? I'm pretty sure like Sam just like, took her on a romantic, scenic Dr. 'cause she had to call the May to be like, fix this place up. I'll distract him on. And she basically, like, well, actually probably didn't tell her that. She's like you have one hour and then so she they gave gave the maid a hard task and. They. Probably just like, drove Mon in circles. And I was like, didn't we pass through this tree? And Sam's like Mon? You don't know.
You don't drive. You don't know where we're going. I I got this. Lady DuPont knows where we're going. It's fine, Mon. Trust the car. Son's like, All right, whatever. So eventually, they get back to the house. It's night time. And Sam's maid miraculously set up this romantic dinner by the pool for Mon. OK And I have to point out there's at least like, 20 candles. Like tea candles, like lining the pool. There's like, the dinner candles.
There's candles in the corner. Who lit the candles, The maid or Sam? It had to have been Sam. Because she. Has too much fun lighting candles and also the tea one like, they're so small. If it was the maid, like they could have been out by the time they actually got there, right? Like I think. I think Sam was like sit here Mon, keep your eyes closed and then she went outside with the lighting one.
No I feel like she's like Mon you have to go to the bathroom take a bath Mon, go take a bath mod. Mom's like, what's? I don't take a bath mod? But then Sam would have to light all the candles in the bath, like cause mom can't just take a bath. It has to be romantic. So Sam's like, wait, lights, all the candles go in the bath and then she's like go light the candles outside and then like that takes her 10 minutes. Mom's still in the bath and she's like mom, get out of the
bath. She's like you're done. You're done. You're done. Trust me. She. Doesn't. Knock. She just walks in. Yeah, no, she walks in. She's like mom, you're done now. Like God. Let's the water. Sam is so impatient.
Yeah. Though she would 100% end the bath for Mon. Blows out all the candles on Mon's getting changed and then she's like, close your eyes again, let's go. You know, though, I think they would have shown us Sam, because Sam likes lighting candles so much and we've seen every other scene with her having lit the candles. I feel if she did light them, she would have been filmed doing it. Like it it it would have shown her lighting each of the candle,
maybe. Even though they look real, they're fake and they're on timers and she just has them at all times. She loves her candles. They're not though. And they're other. I know. Hey, I was giving other theories. They are. That's what maybe maybe Sam had a sadness moment. They're from the night before. Like she lit all the candles and sat out by the pool by herself without Mon, and they just happened to be there And she's like, I should just light these real quick. Side note though.
OK, so Sam likes to name inanimate objects. Does she name her lighter 'cause I'm pretty sure she has to have a name for that lighter. She names the car? Yeah, I don't know what she would name it. It's about something in tie after a TV show or a song, because that's who Sam is. OK, so once Sam brings Mon outside onto the pool, she's like, you can open your eyes now look at all this ambience. Ambience. Mom's like, did you do this? And Sam's like, Nope, the maid
did it, Let's eat. She's being brutally honest, which is hilarious. So she brings Mon out to the table. It's romantic as fuck. And there goes Kendra and Sam does her chivalry thing. She pulls the chair out from Mon, Mon sits down, and mom's like, great, I'm starving. And Sam's like, before we get there, look at this gift I got you. And it's the bracelet that Mon pointed out on their first date
and was like, oh, that's pretty. And Sam's like that cheap thing, Really. So Sam bought 2 because she was planning ahead on the first date. So she's like, OK, mom likes this, I'll get two and it's really cute. And she's like, look, there's one for me, there's one for you. These are our like, matching bracelets. And I think it's cute that she bought it because mom liked it, bought 2 and then had all of
this planned. But I don't like that she used it as a like, forgive me for being an asshole gift, but like me, here we are. It would have been cute. If they were just like. Watching TV and be like, hey man, I got you something. We've been dating for one week. You know what I mean? Yeah, exactly. And I'm sure she was like, I'm gonna save this for a special occasion. So I don't like that it's a forgive me gift. But like, this feels everything
else about it is adorable. From Sam's point of view, this feels like a. Very like I. Don't know, man. Thing to do where they're like, oh, I did something wrong. Let me buy you flowers kind of situation to make things be all better. And I know that. Sam is supposed to be like the the the man in this situation based on like how it's set up and everything. And then Mon is the more feminine person in this, even though they're both Sam's more mask coded by her behavior, not visually.
And yes yes Mon is more like the damsel coded. Also my finger is bleeding. Give me gist. What the hell? We're doing great today. Amazing. All your fault. It's OK. Please take care of that. Cool, it's. Fine. Yeah, we're OK OK. So yeah, I agree with everything. You're just saying the key take away from the bracelets, not only was mod like enamored by this, but they function like engagement slash promise rings
going forward. So just kind of keep that in mind And like, they always wear them together and that kind of stuff. So like, there's there's a lot of meaning behind the gift, which when Sam has game, the woman has mad game. Just I need to keep pointing that out. She fucks up a lot, but, like, when she's on point, she's very on point. OK, so then they actually start eating dinner and stuff and
they're having a gay old time. And towards the end, Sam's like, should we drink Mon, which is code for Do you want to have sex? And I I love that Sam is just immediately thirsty in all the ways. Like, dinner's not even done. And she's just like, shall we? We know where this is. I've seen this film before and I did like getting. So let's let's play this out again. I think she's also trying to,
like, through the whole night. She's like, trying to, like, make sure Ma's not actually upset with her. But also, she's like, I missed you, Let's have fun, right? We're done fighting, right? Let's let's have fun now. And she's like, I'm over this. Can you be over this too? Yeah, she's like, I'm thirsty. All puns intended. All right, So she's like, I've prepared everything. Don't worry about it, Juan. You don't have to lift a finger.
So she gets pours out the sex Scotch and like passes it out. And Sam, I love every time she drinks this stuff, she takes a very healthy swig of the stuff and and she clearly hates it because every time she drinks it, she's always. Like. But she does it because she's thirsty, Mon, I have to point out. While she accepts the drink, barely. I don't even know if she actually drinks.
It takes the tiniest sip ever, at most, because Mom is at the point now where she doesn't need to be inebriated to, like, act on how she feels or do what she wants. And the sequence of scenes after this little toast reinforces all that point, which I will get to in a second. But first we have to talk about color theory.
So I love this episode because this is the episode where Mon does the 180 pivot and it's needed and amazing and I love it so. But the other piece of evidence that Mon is pivoting is the outfit she chooses to wear to this dinner. So let's get into it. Mon is wearing a pink skirt, which is her color, like bright pink, which is her signature color. But how she chooses to wear is black and red, which is very
interesting. So because aside from the times we've seen Mon wear Sam's clothes, like the first time she stayed over when she didn't mean to, she was wearing like Gray because that's Sam's colors and like her clothes weren't there. So like, she didn't, she didn't really choose to wear that. It was kind of just what was there. The second time we saw her not wearing pink was Jim's wedding. But like, everybody was forced to wear red because that was the theme. So we've never seen Mon choose
to wear these colors. And if you remember when Sam met up with Mom, she was wearing pink and then all of a sudden she's not. So what happened? I think the interpretation of this is that she's learning from Sam the black color, how to take and wield her own power, hence the pink she's still wearing. And so it's kind of like she's Sam is rubbing off on her in a little bit and so her behavior's gonna change. But what about the red? The red I think is the most interesting color, so red.
I had a couple of ideas on this one. So red's a primary color. It's part of what makes pink, right? Which? Is. Mon's color and a neutral color they both seem to wear is white. So like, it's a little little bit of like neutral plus like that kind of like primary color. But red as a color tends to symbolize things like passion, power, seduction, and red was Idol Sam's favorite color.
So I think when you kind of put that together, I think that what Mon's about to do is actually a fantasy she's had and she's about to, like, live it out in real life. I approve. All right. I approve of this message. I agree. For lesbian Jesus. For this. Yes, please. Let's do that. OK, all right 'cause remember the key here is that Mon chose this outfit. Mm hmm. I brought all the water to this episode. All the water? Yeah. No, this this is the episode to hydrate.
You don't want to not be hydrated. We didn't get there yet. We didn't. We're getting there. OK, so during the during the dinner, Mon basically tells Sam, like, Sam, you're being all sweet and stuff, but you could stop treating me like a Princess. Like I forgive you for real, 'cause like I can tell you were being honest with me and not running me around in verbal circles like you normally do. Call back to when Sam told him on she would give her
everything. And I don't know if you guys saw the video clip. I just watched it. Now please play please play it for the good people at home. I'm putting it into the episode because it has the same energy and it matters. Jumping right to the good part. Kayla, I don't know if I have any. So just to add to the episode when they're or the scene when they're watching the lions mating.
The scene directly before that, when Mon is sitting on the couch flipping through the channels, is a scene from. SCOY, Scoy. Oh, that's what they were watching. Yeah, that's what she was watching. That's really funny. Yeah. So anyway, that that was all I wanted to add, but I just, I just remembered that that was got a plug. You got to plug your shit. I get it. Good job out of factory, right?
This is a scene from Killing Eve and I have to bring it up because it has the same energy as the Mon and Samson from the bedroom. Please play. You give me everything I want, yes? And I'm sorry this. So according to the file name, this is episode 2. I mean two O 5 S It is 2 episode 5. There is no way that these two are not gay. For each other. I mean, obviously. OK, I have to. Why did I put this in here? OK, because Sam said I'll give you everything you want. Mon.
Blank check. Blank check. That's the blank check moment. And mom's like and Sam, she's like, will you give me everything I want? Sam? Sam's like, yes, whatever you want. Blank check. Bitch doesn't even ask for the fine print. It's the same energy. And then the smile at the end. That's Mon. She's like, Oh, yeah, you're going to give me everything you want. OK, Same energy. Because Mom was like, Sam is
being real right now. And to me, that was a big turning point where Mom's like, I have all the power now. Great. After that conversation in the bedroom, that's when Mom changed her clothing to the red black top with the pink. Because I think like the scene from Killing Eve, Mom's about to test the limits of this promise from Sam that she will give her everything she wants. OK, so back to the dinner. So Sam's excited that Mon forgives her 'cause, like, that's her big worry.
But Mon immediately flips the script and she's like, I still need to punish you for being a Dick though, Sam, because you made me cry all night after say it's a fucked up shit to me. So Sam's a little confused, but she's like, OK, you know, fair. I I owe you that at least. Mon's like. Close your eyes, Sam and Sam's like. OK. This is the first command that, like Mon gives her and Sam complies immediately.
And to me, that's all the confirmation Mon needs that she's like, I have all the power here. And so this is when she really, like, fully pivots. And then we start to get my favorite moment in the show, the rise of Mon boss. So Mon, now she's in charge, take Sam up to the edge of the pool and she's like, this is the punishment for big old meanies like you. And she pushes Sam of the pool and Sam's like, what the fuck mom like? And Mom's just laughing at her.
Which mom deserves that Mom deserves to laugh at Sam. So Sam's trying to leave the pool because it's like the L shape and she's like getting out towards the exit. Mom's mom is stalking around the exit like a God damn predator. And she's telling Sam. She's like, you know, Sam, you are awfully comfortable telling other people what to do all the time. Someone should really teach you how to take orders. And that someone is me. She's the apex predator here. She's the predator here.
And Sam has no idea she's the prey. So then Sam gets towards the exit of the pool, and Mont test doesn't. Little steps a little into her power again. Test that, and she's like, stop. I'm telling you to stop right now. And Sam just like, freezes and she's like, OK, OK, this was OK. Weird, but OK. This is this is this is a hot scene. Yes, it is. But I love Sam's face, 'cause she she's like, I don't know what's about to happen, but I told you I'd give you everything
you want. Mom, is this what you want? I'll give it to you. And Mom just gonna like stares at Sam for a minute, like assessing the situation before she gets in the pool. And at this point, she takes complete control with Sam for the very first time and 100% leads this like make out session they're about to have. And she's making her intentions with Sam crystal fucking clear.
And Sam let's Mon. Which is interesting, and by doing so, by letting Mon lead the interaction, she's giving Mon exactly what she wants, which is trust. Like complete, unabashed trust from Sam, 'cause if you think about what's happening here, Sam is willingly relinquishing her control to Mon, which is an act of trust. And she's demonstrating by doing so that she trusts Mon and only
Mon to take control from her. So once like Mon backs her up against the wall or whatever off the pool, Sam says I've never done this. And like Surface level read is that she Mon is making her intentions very clearly about what she's about to do. And I Sam was like, OK, I've never done this before. Like we've been in such sexy situations before, but never this one Mon. I've never been the receiving end of this. So yeah, that's also that is the surface read that is 100% true.
But I think there's a double meaning to what Sam is actually saying to Mon. Because what we've seen so far is that Sam never, never, ever willingly gives up control to anybody. Anytime she gives up control of something, she's being coerced into it by like, the grandmother being like, don't you love me? Do what I want, Mary Kirk. And then she's like, fine, like I'll give you what you want. Or like Kirk manipulates her into stuff.
It's never because Sam wants them or trusts them enough to, like, do what is in her best interest. It's out of respect, obligation, things like that. So Sam has never. Bottom line is Sam has never wanted anybody to have power over her. But here she is, willingly giving Mon all of the power, like, all of it, to do whatever she wants, Anything Mon wants, including doing what she wants to her, like sex included, like.
And she's doing this because ultimately she trusts Maude, and trust comes with loving somebody. They had this conversation on the roof. But even with that, like, I trust you, like, this is still new. Like, this is a very new piece of territory like giving up control. And especially in this kind of vulnerable situation, like, that's scary for Sam. So you know, when she does say, I've never done this before, it's spoken very like shaky, like she's afraid, like because it's new.
And and I think it's also important for her to like even vocalize that because sharing your fears with somebody is another layer of trust. Like she's willing to be completely vulnerable with Mon in a way that she's never, like willingly been vulnerable with another person. So like, that's a huge part of like, this scene. That's incredible. And so Mon boss, without missing a beat, admits that for her, taking control, being the top of, if you will, is something she's never done either.
She's like, I've never done this either. But like, even though it's like, I assume for Mon, like this is new and scary, like just like it's scary for Sam. But Mon has always, always, always and forever will be the braver partner, always braver than Sam.
And so she steps into this power very easily and, like, goes at it with just all the confidence and, like, fierce determination in the world and in the CN Mons very much like, listen, I don't know what the hell I'm doing either, but I'm gonna put Yuki's sex advice into action and take care of you the way I want to. And I love Mon for this. All I have to say is Long live Mon boss, because it's about fucking time. Yeah, go Mon boss. Long live, Mon the boss.
I know. That's what starts playing in my head, too. I love that song. I love that song. Yes, If you don't know Taylor Swift and you're watching on gap coverage, you do now. You do now. You're getting a little taste. I am learning I'm. Just like Colas this. No, this is how it started out with Fiora and me too. OK? I had to learn every reference that Fiora would make. Honestly, though, that that song. Works here too.
So far the only things I've caught being referenced as Mean Girls, so. That's I don't. Think Fiora caught that one, though, 'cause she doesn't know it. The API's predator is a. So I did that one for Cole. Yeah, there we go. All right, let's continue. Then this transitions into a sex scene where Mon boss is in charge. And I will say one thing I love like comparing this this scene, at least the end of it to like the prior.
Their first sex scene was that there's this concept they keep doing of just like the active partner undressing, then redressing the receptive partner, which is really interesting and like kind of like sweet. It's like a way of like I'm in control of like all of this, which is interesting. And I do love the fierce. Deter the fierceness with which when Sam's trying to like, put the robe back on him, I was like, no, bitch, I undressed you. I'm gonna dress you, redress you
myself. Now that I'm done with you. And I I just love that mom's like, absolutely not. This is my job. Don't. Don't you dare. I love. It. Oh my. God, so in this scene. I don't know why. That this stuck out. I just remember the music like not matching up to what was happening. It's very interesting. Like. I wish the music was lighter. Like, I understand, like mine was taking control, but it didn't even sound like someone taking control. It was just the weirdest music
for this scene. It's like this really aggressive piano, and I think, I think it's less about mine and it's more like Sam, like the music, because like at the end of this, she's like, Mon, are you still mad at me, 'cause that was really intense. What just? Happened. I think that's what the piano's trying to show. Like the way Sam is just losing it for the first time ever. And it's just very heightened And you know, Mon went into that with all the determination of
the world. So like I think it is, it is, it is, it is kind of odd sounding, but I think that's like Sam is like inner monologue is like that music. Mm hmm. Yeah, that's what it felt. Like was that it was? Coming kind of from her point of view of like, this is really intense and it's a lot more than what I've done with you before. So like for Sam to have has done with Mon before. So it was, yeah, I I, I agree, 'cause you're right, Caitlin. I'm like, why are we?
They? There's like 2-2 sex scenes with the two of them. But like, the music is like the one and done. We never hear the song ever again. We never hear this piano ever again. It's just right here. Which is weird for them because usually it's the same music. Over and over. Right. So I think it's showing that this scene is really significant by using this one and done music. But yeah, I think it's Sam's point of view, the song.
Or is just Bond being fierce as fuck 'cause she was literally so, you know? Yeah, I mean, it could just be like. 'Cause it was kind of an more an intense experience for both of them, so it could just, yeah, so I think. The The way it was, the way it was. Shot was a lighter, softer feel, so which is why it doesn't match the music. I thought it was a harsh light, 'cause it was very, like, very intense, like white light on Sam, who was very the light was not diffused. Yeah, yeah.
But it it gave me harshness versus like warm, soft light, Harsh. Light it would be a. Huge soft box. If it was like a soft thing, like no, this one is just it's hard. It's supposed to be hard. We see the light source in the screenshot. We definitely do. It's right there. So it's so distracting in mind. Brings some just like OK, I know exactly how they set the scene up. No one ever shows the actual light source. I'm not mad because Sam would have a drive. It would be like a 650 Ari.
On AC stand. I like to imagine Sam just has those in her home, though, because she did set the scene because they didn't. Just OK in my mind. Stuff happened in the pool, then they got out of the pool because then they get dressed in these robes. Sam brings the Scotch inside like they set up this room. So Sam's like Spotlight, I think. Sam set this up. Spotlight. For me, maybe Mom did it. She's like spot. Either way, Mom's in charge. Mom's in charge right now.
Either way, they they staged this. No, no, It's like mine. Since Mom's in charge, she's like, oh, I know that Sam likes lights but it's she doesn't like put together and it's just candles but light. So like put a big light there. I know. I take I you're right Caitlin. What you said is Canon mom just like setting up like this giant light Sam's like what are you doing? And mom's like don't resist me
like OK, no question charge. You know it could also be mom didn't want to take the time to light all the individual candles. Mom's just like, one light, one and done one light. She tried. She's like, Sam, how do you do this? Oh, my gosh. Because Sam is the most impatient person in this relationship. So the fact that she sits there and diligently lights 1000 candles is really saying something. Mom's like, fuck it, Here's a switch. We're good to go. Let's go.
I'm not waiting. Do you think Sam really has, like, a candle lighter, though, on her payroll? You know, like, Lexa definitely had two of 100. The the No way the bitch lit all those candles. Like, one of the maids is literally just like the candle lighter. Like, she just pays someone to just do that. Yes, I do think so. And then she, like does like 1 to pretend like she did all. It's the candle. It's the candle master, 'cause they have to buy the candles. Set the candles?
Yeah, she's ceremonially obtained the candles. Yeah. Couldn't have puts them out, 'cause like, Sam's not gonna, like blow out. They didn't come out of the pool. And Sam's like, wait, we gotta blow the candles out random. Like the first time I saw like a whatever it's called. Oh yeah. They the stopper when they Yeah. So we had I. Thought it was like a. Bell in a while, so I would. Just like start. Playing with it when I was little and I think I lit candles, just Oh my God, you would.
They're they're fun. They kind of just go. And. It just kind of makes them smoke and. But could you imagine having there's so many candles? Yeah, the maid is well paid, I'm saying, but could you imagine, like, where was she On call? The maid had to. Be there and just like. I'm wondering if there's like a house near or like a guest house in the back kind of where because I a place that I stayed in Mexico, the maid or like the housekeeper lived in another
apartment. You know, you're probably right. Sam is wealthy enough for that to happen. It's a it's a servant as or an attendant, as her grandmother calls them. Could you imagine when I when we were talking about it the first time with the candles, I was like, could you? Imagine if it was. Auntie, me just hanging out in the bud. There's no way the office doesn't find out about this, then. Oh, she's the gossip. Like that's her name. Yeah.
Never mind. OK, so that would be really funny if no, it was probably like a team maze in the background. Like like the candles out and they're like. Having this shit. But she did it like once, and then spread something in the office about something Sam had. And then Sam's like, Nope, we're getting some different No, we can't do this anymore. This is real, but absolutely not that.
'D be really funny so. I did want to add, I'm not sure, 'cause it wasn't talked about for this scene specifically, the sex scene that we just covered. I think it pertains to all of. Them. All of them. OK. Well, it does say. All. It pertains to all of them from what I've seen too. Yeah, so somebody had posted a comment. On. One of the last videos that were put up that was put up and they mentioned that. All. Of the love scenes were not directed. So basically. Freen and Becky were only
scripted. They're not, like, scripted, Right. Sorry. Yes. Better. Better. Yeah. They were just kind of. Told. What the mood or tone was supposed to be. And then we're told to, like, make it look beautiful. So it was. Unscripted of scenes which. I. Think is really nifty. And I believe someone had mentioned and I hope I'm not making it up, but they had watched other queer films to kind of get the like what it's supposed to look like.
Like the the the touching, the gazing, the looking and the like. All of the like how to hold the other person and to like they did research. Like the two actors did some research on how like staphic love scenes are supposed to look or staphic relationships are supposed to look. And I think that's really, really nifty. And I did see something. I forget what the titles were, though.
I I know they. Listed the titles too, and I can't remember, but it was stuff that I've seen and it was there. It was stuff to be covered. Yeah, I think so. I can't remember. I think it wasn't Warrior. Nun. He was. Watching Warrior, I don't think it was. Warrior wasn't out yet. Or at least. The Super gay stuff wasn't out yet. I don't think it was Warrior. None. It was like maybe it was clexa or something. It was something that like hence the candles maybe. Oh. Hence the candle.
But I do wanna just say, 'cause you have it written in here, the person who told us that the IT wasn't directed. And I'm gonna read this how I'm reading it in my head, Calais 28. And I'll say, like, like, yeah, the two actors, you guys did a hell of a job, but it's really shitty you were in that position to begin with and you didn't have access to, like, an intimacy coordinator.
We could have hooked you up with Robbie and like that's a lot to put on two actors to be like we're not going to tell you what to do. It it's like. Was that the? Lot, you know, Especially when it's like were they just, was it not like did? I thought it was. That they they wanted to do it, or was it they were told? It sounds like this was not scripted and they're like, here's they're going to have a love scene. Here's the tone, good luck. That's what this sounds like to me.
And they it was up to them to figure out how to do it. That's how this sounds. I have. Two reads for this like yes one was just like throwing them in it and just being like figure it out. The other one is. Them just wanting to do what was comfortable. For them. Right, That's how I took. It. But it it could have gone either way. You never know what the filming atmosphere is like, exactly.
And that's why I was like, I I hope that it was safe for them, whatever they were doing, 'cause it could easily not be. Do we know for certain that they didn't have an intimacy coordinator? I don't know that that's common in don't tie. I just, I mean, luckily, I know in America now after the strike, we have to have one on every production that. And they're very much needed because that would have been very helpful for them to go over it with them. Yeah.
No, I agree. Like having Robbie on set here, I feel like would have been so helpful for them to like walk like talk to somebody who knows how to coordinate these things and like help them walk it through because like this could easily go sideways. If you're you're trying to figure this out on your own and like they had multiple and these were like very long shoots like that they were doing.
It wasn't just like 30 like 5 seconds like it was like very like long these scenes that they were doing together. You know it's a lot it's a lot if you're new here go watch check out. We have two interviews Robbie Taylor Hunt. The first one gets into what intimacy coordination is in general and all of those useful informations and yeah, yeah, very. I just feel bad for them. I feel like that would have been if it wasn't their choice, Yes, if it. Was, I mean either. Way like they well.
Usually they hire one and then like it's up to the actor to like well at least what Robbie said is they hire you and then it's like up to the actor how much advice they want to take from you. So like from my understanding there wasn't even 1 hired. I as far as I know, I don't think so either. People will definitely let us
know in the comments field. Let us know and I don't know if this is common in Thai dramas but I feel like that would have been nice given the number of like sex scenes that they had and intimate scenes and like the length of the filming for those things. But they regardless, they did a
great job. It felt authentic like you were saying Cole. But I I wish they had the option if they didn't have that option cause like that's a it is a lot to like put on actors to do these especially if it's something you're not familiar with like doing a queer sex like that when that can go sideways like very easily you know. So. But they did do a great job with it. Yeah.
And I I also liked I I did find another video that the the director kept telling them cut at at different points and it was like no, like you can stop. And they just kept going with the sex scenes specifically like they were just filming like they were just getting they were into it and they were filming stuff and whatever. And the director was like, OK Yep, we're done. We got what we needed and they were just like, OK and just kept kept filming.
I mean, they're in charge there. They're like, you didn't give us any direction for those. We're just doing our thing. So like hold. On our choreography's not done yet. We practice more. All right, so anything else about the sex scene before we, like, move to the end? OK, so at the end, they're just kind of like basking in the Afro glow. And Sam promises at that moment or that she's going to break up with Kirk. And I get she says this because
orgasms. Yes, plural. Because Mon boss, was that determined. That's why, Sam. That's why we got the piano music. Sam was like, wow, this is like round five, like, Oh my God, Mon boss. So I just wish that Sam didn't promise her this here because I I'm still I'm still not confident Sam was actually going to tell him the next day because like thing other things happened in the office that pushed her into it.
I'm just, I I'm just protective of little Mon boss and Sam that keeps as we. Should because someone needs to protect. Mon. But, like, imagine Mon hearing that in this moment. Like she's like cuddling with Sam. Like, clearly proud of herself, as you should be, girl. And like to hear Sam say this, like, I don't even know if she believes that. She's just like, I hope you're not fucking with me, but you know, because. Especially the 1st. Time she was so worried about.
She's like, I don't want to do have us cheat on Kirk. Right. And then here's mom's like, Kirku, you're mine. You are mine. Now Sam, it's over. And Sam's like, Yep, I'm breaking up with him. I'll call him right now. And it's like Sam, she wasn't going to anyway. So that's that scene. Very cute. And I left Sam when she's like, Mon, are you mad at me? Because that was, that was, that was. That was, that was intense. My mom's just like, Nope, that's
so funny. Anyway, all right, so next day, what happens in the office? So what does happen? What happened? So Sam comes in the office, and there's, like, these flowers. And I was like, oh, did Mon get those? But Mon doesn't have any money. And Sam's like, Mon doesn't have money. I don't pay her enough to buy any flowers. They're from Kirk. And and there's this little note on it. And Kirk's like, I like when you're jealous. You should be jealous of me more
often. She's like, well, put your hands on Mon again and I'll see it again. I saw this great meme on toddler with Sam when she was pushing Kirk and it had this, somebody wrote on social media and was like, these hands are rated E for everyone. And she's pushing Kirk. I just love it because yeah, she'll put hands on Kirk yet if he ever tries to do that again, OK, So he comes, then he follows in and he comes in the office and he's like, we should go out on a date and blah blah, blah.
And she's like, Oh my God, how many times do I have to say no to you before you understand? And she's like Kirk, I don't want to do that. And she starts like tiptoeing into the like, yeah, let's break up conversation. When ya comes in the room and she's like, lady boss, there's there's someone here to see you. And Sam's like, my clients don't come to see me. Who the fuck is here to see me? And so is she Exactly. Like, I don't have clients. What do you mean? So it's Miss Nita.
Miss Nita's here, and this woman is the predator if there ever was one. She stalks into the office and it's just like, I'm here to see Sam and like, sees Mon, whom, if you recall, they've met before because Sam, Sam, Mon accidentally saw her and Kirk like, conspiring at a diner or some shit and was forced to meet this woman and she found out Kirk is the mole. So she's like, oh, sorry. She's like, oh shit, this woman is here.
This cannot be good because Mon has been holding in the secret of this woman the whole time and it's like, oh shit, Sam's about to lose it. Accurate. But the woman, while she's there, notices Mon and sizes her up and it's like, that's a cute bracelet on your arm. Interesting. And then comes into the office to see Sam and notices the same brace. And then she's like Sam's queer. Great. I was hoping like Mon who? She's just like Sam's into women. Fantastic.
And there's like, there is no heterosexual explanation for any of Nietzsche's behavior around saying like none of it. She's just like, it's just overt flirting from start to finish. I'm pretty sure she's not even there for the merger. She's just like, I came for you, Sam. She's like, what? I mean, she's she's as bad a CEO as Sam is. She was like, what business? I'm here to see you. She was definitely there to get something, whether it was her original. Plan. Or something more.
Oh no, she definitely was. Because the minute the merger goes S, she's like, whatever. But we can be more than friends, right? That's she's like, what deal? Anyway, so let's see here. Yeah. OK, so I mentioned the bracelet. When she sees the bracelet on Sam and Mon, the gay alarms go off. Her gaydar's going wild at that, and she's like, perfect. That's what I was hoping the vibes. I was reading from you, Sam, and I'm so happy that they are what
I thought they were. Did you want to see this point, Caitlyn? Yeah, sure. I. Automatic Hi, Caitlin, first of her name. Hi. Caitlin never would have noticed two people wearing the same thing. I mean, I don't notice. A lot of things. But still, it's very convenient that this is what she picks up on. It's so convenient. So in the. Still that you have, she, like, turns her hand. It looks like she's just, like, interesting. See, I'm just so focused on, like, making sure I shake
someone's hand, right? To then notice that. Some things on their wrist. Sam is not focused on that though. When you watch her, she's like, why are you giving me your hand? And then she takes it and she's like, I guess Sam never had to practice handshakes because she's like a queen. She's like, I don't need to do this because you know they teach you do that every reason like do the firm hand drink and blah, blah, same just like and that's what they taught her. Just the ring.
Guess the bracelet. Me too would 100% do that though. Anyway, so basically this brazen woman let's it drop that she's like, I'm here. First of all, it seems like I wish you would have told me you were coming here because then I would have, like, prepared a parade or whatever you do when I have guests. And she's like, you don't need to do that. You don't need to do that. Kirk knew I was coming.
And then Sam's like, really? And then a cat goes out of the bag that she's like, yeah, we were planning on merging our businesses. Did he not tell you? And he's like, I was going to tell her at dinner. That's why I was asking you out tonight, Sam. And she's like you, little weasel. I should have known. You're a mole. You look like one. She's like, this is going to a bitch, Kirk. So Sam rightfully stormed out of that office to have it out with Kirk in another room in private.
But they're like yelling through the office while they're heading upstairs. Mon is rightfully freaked out by this because Kirk is, like, manhandling her the whole time and it drives me crazy. No, When she, like, tells him to let go and he's just like, not. I was like, whoa. Let me Adam. Yeah, it makes me rage the way he he just like I'm gonna marry you. And then casually manhales her and it just makes me really upset. Mon would never anyway.
So they they go into the a conference room we've never seen before that's abandoned because they don't have clients. And so they're they're hashing all of this out and say I was recently, like, I can't believe you were still lying to me after I told you not to lie to me. And you were lying to me about this of all things, like the business we started together that, you know, I care about. And once they kind of like hash that out a bit and she gets him to release her, she's like, is
that all the secrets? Is that all of them? Kirk. And he's like, yes. And she's like fantastic, we're done. I'm breaking off her engagement right the fuck now. And he's like, what? And then she leaves. And so again, with him man handling her though it just in the way, she's just like, no, let me go and like stop trying to do things for me. It just reinforces the fact that Sam doesn't relinquish control to anyone except one.
Because here's Kirk trying to take control away from her and be like, no, I'm doing what's best for you. Whether or not you want me to Sam, which she hates and like. This is why Sam has trust issues, and This is why Sam has a hard time being honest. That's why she has this defense mechanism where she can't say what she means. It's because people like this in her life just like steamroll over her and like it's upsetting and it it pisses me off.
I mean, yeah, it shows that she really can't, but no go to control because we do see these people take it from her. Yeah, and so even if she wanted. To not have to control everything. Yeah, she's. Seen it? This film too many times. He doesn't like the ending. She's like, no, I keep getting fucked over and just no. And she's at the point where she's like, I'm standing up for this is where she's drawing the
line in the sand. Finally it When it comes down to the things she actually cares about most company, Mon. She's like absolutely not. I will not compromise here. Fuck you, Kirk. And so she manages to break free of his grasp violently. Good on you. I wish you'd pushed him again. And then she dramatically storms out of the room and ends up in the hallway, like by the stairs. We have to just mention, I believe this is when the bracelet falls off. Yes, so that's important.
Yes, the bracelet falls off when she dramatically breaks her hand free from Kurt. Put a pin in that she comes out of the room where Mon is casually eavesdropping behind a corner because she's worried about Sam. Cause like she knew Sam was not going to take this news well. And there's a lot of yelling. So Kirk comes out of the room.
Also, he's following Sam and he's like, I can't believe you're he's like, I don't accept this breaking up with me thing because there's no way you need to calm down. He's basically like you're being an emotional woman right now. You're going to regret this later. You're just being emotional, Sam. We can't break up for over something so inconsequential basically. And she's like, what? She's like you of all people are going to call the business
inconsequential. You know how much I care about this. I've been. You've known for so long this was my source of happiness. And now you're saying you're meddling with my business and calling it trivial. Like, I cannot believe you're. And that's like the last straw, where she's like, this will never work out. I've had it. And she's like, you know what, Kirk? We're over because I'm seeing somebody else. There it is. And right on cue, Mon drops all of her belongings. Sam's doing it.
And then they look to Mon and she forces her to come around the. Corner and she's like. Doesn't even get to be like I was here for reasons. She doesn't get to explain anything. Sam's just like, fantastic Mon's here. Kirk, meet my girlfriend Mon. Now that you've met, let me go into detail about the way I've been dating her so hard. And she's like, I've been seeing her this whole time. I invite her over to my house last night. We and she's like, Sam shut up because Sam starts to start
bragging about the sex. I'm pretty sure. And mom's like, for the love of God, shut like up Sam. And importantly, Kirk is watching this and the minute Mon's like Sam stop. She does. She stops. She listens to Mon and like, walks away, which I love and I just love control now. Yeah, Mon boss is in charge. Mon boss is in charge because Sam Sam would never listen to Kirk was like, stop Sam. She'd be like, fuck, no, I'm not stopping.
But Mon says it. She's like immediately silenced And but I just love the scene because the minute Sam starts telling the truth, all the truth spill right out like all of them. She's just like, Yep, we've been dating for. I don't even know how long she lives at my house. I bought her clothes and he's like, I don't, I don't need to hear all of this. This was not necessary. But she just she doesn't want to hide it. And I just love that. It's just like, Yep, here's all the things.
It's kind of sweet. It is. No, it's very it's very sweet. And like, she does admit at one point to Kirk, she's like, I I this, this I've been keeping. She says it here, I think where she's like this is the secret I've been keeping from you and I didn't want to keep it from you. I've been wanting to tell you this and I'm glad that I'm telling you because, like, I don't want to hide this. She's at the point where she literally does not want to hide her relationship with Mon at all.
So I love it. It came out at. The wrong time. But it's sweet. It had to come out eventually. It had to come. It had to come out eventually. What's unfortunate though, is that once Ma Ma tells her to stop, Sam walks away, leaving Ma along with alone with Kirk, which was just so. Awkward. And she's like, Hey Kirk. And he's like, Ma, is this true? And she's like, sorry. Well, she should have been like, well, now we're even. I had two. Seekers of both, right.
He's like, well, while you were fighting with her on Facebook, we've been dating behind your back. So even. Yeah, no, he's just like, I can't believe this. And he just leaves. So Sam stalked out of that really awkward interaction to then go back to her office where Miss Nito's been waiting. She's probably been snooping around that office. Let's be real. She was snooping around that office while Sam was gone, trying to find things. Who knows? Let's be real.
Let's be real. Let's be honest. She was. She was just like, remember when Mom first goes to Sam's house, she's like, I'm in Sam's room. She's like, I'm in Sam's office. That's what was happening while they were fighting. That was off screen. So Sam goes back in the office and she's like, centers herself. She's like, listen, you need to, like, kindly fuck off because this, this is, this is not. There's no merging that's going to happen here. And Nitia.
Nitia Nita, sorry, I work with somebody named Nitia. My bad Nita Nita is like, I was, I was hoping you'd bring up the fucking because that's really why I'm here. She's like, fuck the business. I'm hoping you and I can be more than just friends. That's really why I'm here. And Sam is just so done with all of it, because she doesn't want to be here. She doesn't want this woman in her office. She doesn't want to be getting
hit on by strangers. And she's like, I'm going to be really honest with you right now. I have a girlfriend. Her name is Ma and she's out there. She's the love of my life. Get out of my office. This will never happen. I was waiting for Sam to just open her office door. At this point, I just scream Ma is my lover. Since she was in the mood for telling everyone.
I'm surprised she didn't when she was like coming back to the office and be like Ma and I are dating Do without what you will and then goes back to the office. I'm sure she I yeah I'm surprised she didn't honestly she was she was in that headspace where she's like she would send out a company wide e-mail like screw it from the rooftop. She wants to scream it from the rooftop. She she super does. OK. So that ends she gets rid of rid of this this woman who's like OK bye for now Sam.
I will see you again. He's like OK girl. So the next. Sorry, Kendra. OK, Caitlin's back. OK, so the next day at the office, Sam and Mom are both in their in her in her office and like they admit they're both being ghosted by Kirk because duh, you guys just you guys are fucking around behind his back. He has every right to not talk to either of you right now. But Sam admits here to Mon that she's relieved that she finally told the truth, 'cause she was like, I've been wanting this.
I've been wanting to scream this from the rooftop like you said Cole. But which is really sweet. And I'm sure that meant a lot to Mon to hear. And she was very grateful about this. But she's like, Sam, why are you being weird? You you're like scouring your office for some reason and she's like, I can't find the engagement bracelet. And so they they look for a little bit more. And then Sam remembers the fight with Kirk where he, like, grabbed her hand violently and like. It. Flew off.
So she's like, OK, I know where it is. It's in the conference room. We never use. I'll go upstairs. So she goes upstairs. Somehow. The bracelet is not in the conference room where they was, but it's behind a door. No, we saw it. We saw it go. Under a door. Did we? OK, OK, cool. They made sure to show you the shot. I just saw it go to the side. But OK, it it ends up in a closet somehow. Irony. And so Sam goes to open the door and she catches Yan Chin getting it on.
And I love that she just they just stare at each other for like a solid 3 seconds. And then she grabs the bracelet and just like hilariously leaves without really saying anything. And they're just like petrified. It's so funny. Yeah. I just think this seems very funny because like when Sam pauses in the doorway.
You can tell. A million thoughts are going through all of their heads, but since Sam now has experience, she's like, well, I guess I should just grab what I came for and slowly back to. I also wonder if she's like mental note fuck mod in this closet. Thanks guys, I just leaves. Yeah, I love the way she's just like Mon's bracelet is more important than whatever this is.
But these two don't know that. Nobody questions why she's going after a bracelet that looks suspicious, like Mon's bracelet. They're just freaking out 'cause they're like, oh shit, she's going to fire us. Because fraternizing in the office is the most fireable offense. Not being bad at your job like Noi is. It's fraternizing in the office. So y'all gets out of there and starts crying about this to Mon. To which Mon is like, Oh well, shit. Sam and I are giant hypocrites,
which is true. But then the show starts doing this really gross thing where it sets up ya and Chin as this forbidden love foil to Sam and Mon. And can we talk about how not OK, this is because I'll yeah, I I didn't like it at all. I I I felt this like while watching it but they really need to not try and compare anything to this to. Anything like we're love. Because. It's not going to end well. Like it's just no. Especially like this cheating
thing. This is a situation where two people are knowingly going into this relationship knowing they are going to be hurting someone because they are lying about it. Like Mom and Sam couldn't tell people because of the way the world would react. I mean, yes, I wish they they didn't get together when Kirk thought Sam was still with him, but she made her feelings very clear to him and that. She was just there because she had to be.
Yeah, I agree. Like the chin thing is that he was he was married for who knows how long and then they start cheating on his wife. Versus like Sam and Kirk are just betrothed. They're not legally married. And I hate this comparison because y'all was kind of like, well, I knew it was wrong, but like, it felt right. And monitor brain's like, yeah, it feels wrong with Sam. Like the fact that we're breaking the company, but it's like, no, no, no, these are not the same thing.
Cheating heterosexuals and queer love not the same thing, is not the same thing. I don't like this. And they keep making this comparison and I hate it. Not OK. OK. So then we go back to the office and because mom's like, shit, I need to talk to Sam because this is not great. And surprisingly, Sam doesn't immediately fire these two cheating people. She's actually taking the time
to think over. She's like pacing her office, really thinking about it, and like she makes some valid points about them and she's like, well, they're cheating and what Ya's doing is wrong because he's married and it's like, no girl. What Chin's doing is willingly cheating on his wife. And he he's also wrong. It's not just. Her. OK, yeah, that's really
annoying. How Oh my gosh, it's not just the females but like it's awful that YA knows about his wife and still has the relationship with Chin. But Chin goes home every day to his wife correct? And lies and pretends everything is fine. Really. He's cheating on both of them correct? And YA is too blind to realize that, like, because he's he still has two relationships. I guess she's just OK with it. But, well, what's the what's the
moral of the Wang Tong story? What's the moral of the Wang Tong story? The woman is the the slut. The the men can have multiple women, and that's totally fine. Here's that patriarchy shit coming. Sam, you saw the TV show? Bullshit. Sam. Oh my gosh. Yeah. So I hate that. I hate this. I hate it. This whole storyline is I hate it. Okay. But anyway, let's get off of
them because they're whatever. So mom brings up the obvious of all of us and she's like, I'm the reason you are now in violation of your own company rule and moms feeling the guilt hardcore about this. And you shouldn't Mon #1. As we stated previously, Sam was already breaking this rule with Kirk. This rule is stupid to begin with, right? And Sam is a serial offender of this rule. So Mon, you shouldn't feel bad. And two, Noah should be fired because nobody is following this
company rule. Nobody like everybody's. How many people has Sam had to fire because of this one rule? Like nobody follows the rule, but also. What are these? People supposed to do they? Spend the most time with the people at work. Like through that, their whole lives, basically. Now. Seriously. So, like, who else are they going to date, Sam? Aren't you more concerned that they're bad at their jobs? Like this is the hill you die on to fire people like your
company's been failing? Maybe you should perform its evaluation these people NOI again, What does? What does your age or department even do? I I. Had a defense for NOI. So maybe, maybe she tried to enforce things in the beginning, but upset Sam for some reason, and now she's intimidated to do her job properly. Well, she would have to fire Sam if she was doing her job properly. Yes, Sam should be reported to the her investor, which is probably the grand ma'am. Oh, God.
Anyway, in the scene, Mon does not take our advice, so instead she insists on quitting. She's like, Sam, I don't want people to look at you poorly because you're breaking your own rule. I'll just leave. And so we can avoid all this. And Sam's like, you can't do that. You can't quit. Because if you don't work here, I don't. I won't. It's What's the point of waking up in the morning and even coming into this office Mon, if you're not here And she's like, do you realize that I come here
just to look at you? It's just. So can we unpack this? Because it's. Hilarious. I just face look at the face in the screenshot. Though it's like it's. Like, mom, you're being crazy right now. Do you understand? I come here just to see you, like that's the only reason I come to work. And Mom's like, I literally live at your house. What do you mean? Do you see me every day? I'm surprised that Sam's was like, all right, mom, you're working. From home from now.
On and I'm going to work from home like you can just remote work both. Of you, yeah. But it's it is very interesting because in the beginning she's fighting so hard for this company that she does not know how to run because. She doesn't know what it does. On page because there was nothing fulfilling in her life. So she turned to this. Company at But now that Mon is here and she is living her authentic life, like for the first time, that all goes out the window.
And that's why we don't hear about the company again because screw the band doesn't care. It could go down in flames. But as long as she has Mon, everything's fine. Exactly. Now you get the nail on the head it it's literally demonstrating that like Sam found her happiness, which is Mon. So she literally doesn't care about the company, which is like art of her. It's basically it's one of those things where like, she's a isolated, heartbroken person that's just like pouring herself
into her job. Then she finds at an actual source of happiness and her priorities are all changing. I just love the way she says all of this. And mom's like, what are you saying? So the next part of this I this just I want you to read the heading once I'm done saying this. It confuses me every time I'm like what is insane about and then I read the notes and then I remember but continue. It's got a double. It's a double entendre. Then the L word happens. It's a double meaning Caitlin.
All right. So I only get the one meaning love and lesbianism happens. Caitlin in this scene. No. All I think about is the TV show. The the, the TV show also starts happening. OK, so Maan says it first because basically Sam is being adorable right now, and Maan can't stand it. And she's basically like, well, she's like, no, but I still need to quit. Sam, I I know that you like seeing my face, but like, I still need to quit for your honor, basically.
And Sam's like, you're not being cute right now, Maan. Maan's like, well, I'd rather not be cute and, like, protect you, basically. And she tells her she loves her, and then she's like, do you love me, Sam? And Sam's like, uh huh, She's like, do you She's like, uh huh. And she's like, I please say it. And so she says it, which is really cute. So it's really cute. And then Mon's so pleased that she starts distracting Sam in
the office. She's just like, if there's any for a moment to have sex in your office, it's now Sam is about to, like, go for it on the desk when there's a knock. And then for the first time ever, Sam does not lock her office door. When Mon's in the office and mom's like, oh shit Sam, I'm like halfway undressed and like, the door's unlocked. So she like, they do this hilarious thing where, like, Mom hides under the desk and Sam awkwardly sits on her desk and ya comes in.
And she's so distraught over the fact that Sam, she's like, Sam's going to fire her. She doesn't notice how suspicious Sam is behaving in her own office. And I'm like, she comes in and Sam's just like, lounging on her desk. Like, who does this? This isn't weird. This is a weird from everything you know about Sam. I love it. OK, so 2. Things one I love that Mon is always having to hide from ya. Always. But but how convenient is it that there is always? Something to. Hide behind.
Always. I know if Sam was one of those desks where you can see through it there, where would? But it's also not a closet, you know? So she does have something to hide behind, all right, too, with her. OK, I actually have three things. So two, she couldn't sit at her desk because let's be real, Mom would never. She would definitely be doing some. I just got Cole. She would be like, oh. I'm gonna make this so difficult for you that. Would have been so good, though. Oh.
All right, and then ignore my dog scratching the chair in the background 3. To be fair. With Sam laying on the desk like that. I mean, that's a little weird. She could have just stood, but it still has her towering over YA, so it puts Sam in the position of power. It does. And like they'd be too, even if Sam was sitting down correctly because it would be like an even playing field, which technically they are because they both did the same thing.
Only, I mean, I mean it's technically it is the same thing because it is still cheating. But whatever. They're both breaking the HR rule And then yeah, continue. OK, yes, so and that. But I do love the the comedy of this scene because basically Sam's like, Ya's a mess and she's like, listen, I'll give you my first born, like whatever you want, just don't fire me. And Sam's like, I'm not going to
fire you. She's just trying to get her out of the office and she's like, I won't fire you, everything's cool. I'm going to give you another chance, but like stop fucking him because he's married. Get out. Get out of my office and. Like. And she's so grateful that Sam and she's Sam's like, I'm not going to tell anybody about this. And she's so grateful. Yeah, because who is this? Who is this? This is not lady boss. Like, who is this?
So she's very grateful that she's getting this once in a lifetime chance from Sam because Sam's a hypocrite that she starts to, like, try to bow. Like because Sam's rotate and she starts to start, I love the comedy of this because if she bows, she sees Mon. And like, this is not something that would happen in a Western film or like a Western society because we don't bow. So I love that she keeps trying to do it and Sam's just like, stop it, please.
And so it comes off to ya that she's like, they're on equal footing. Like you're saying Sam, but really she's trying to hide Mon. And it's just hilarious. And like when eventually she's like, get out, she's like, you need to leave. And she's like, what do you mean? I thought you weren't firing me. And Sam's like, get out of my office and then she's like. Oh. And it takes her forever to leave that. Sam has to, like, manhandle her out of the office and like, finally lock it.
It's it's so funny. So then when she's like, exacerbated, she goes and, like, sits down on the chair and it's just like, that was a lot. And then mom emerges and it's basically like, well, kindness is a good look on you, milady. How about we do something we've always wanted to do and break all of the HR rules in your office right now?
And Sam like she. So she starts, like, getting Sam in the movies, are like, making out with her a little bit, and then starts to undress Sam and Sam's like, what are you doing? Don't do this. And mom's like, remember who the boss. I'm on boss. Remember that You don't Don't resist me like you told me you'd give me anything I want. I want this. And Sam's like, does not fight her after that. She's like, OK, yeah, great, let's do it.
So then we get another, like, we get the office sex scene, which is great, and it's softer lighting. It's not as harsh. It's normal music. It's not weird pianos. And I think this, this seems a little bit different than all the other ones because the other ones have been very much like an active partner, receptive, partner symbolizing, kind of like they're demonstrating, I guess, like where they're at in their relationship, like who's
taking control, who's not. This one's more of an equal footing, which is interesting, 'cause they're in Sam's office, which is like Sam's territory, but they're kind of like more equal in this exchange for a couple of reasons. First, they're both completely undressed in like, by the end of this, like, it starts off like with shots of them, like progressively getting undressed. They were both undressed, which
never happens. Usually it's one person's undressed, the other one isn't, So that's more like they're both being vulnerable in this situation. And then two is there's a switching between like dominant position, like they top each other in the scene, I'll just put it that way, which is also different. Usually it's one person versus the other.
So I thought that was very interesting, that once they kind of, like dealt with Kirk, the truth is out there, Sam's clearly showing she's changing by having emotions and empathy, like it's putting, it's putting them on more equal footing with each other, like emotionally and then like in the relationship. So it's more like a partnership at this point, which is really important, I think. Yes, I agree.
But OK, what happens after that? Who knows how long they were in here, 'cause they wrecked this office so badly that when Auntie Mae comes in the next morning, she's like, what the hell? Was there a? Battle in here. That's so funny. Love it 'cause I'm sure Sam's office like there's never anything out of place and there's just like books everywhere. The computer is Askew. They they were on the desk at one point, like it's just a giant bass and I I love it. Where? You know you would.
Think that they. Would have cleaned up. Like they don't want people. No. Or do they just really not? I'm pretty sure Sam's like, let's go home. She doesn't care, OK? She doesn't care. She's just like, let's go at any other point. She might have. Cleaned up. How's old? Does Sam clean up after herself? My friend should have. Well, I Mon is hella distracted and I don't think was thinking clearly because afterwards she goes to the bathroom to clean
herself up or whatever. And Ya's still there because I think she went out to get food for Sam to thank her for not firing her and overheard the sexcapades because she's like, Mon, what's up with your lipstick, Mon? And I was like, oh, shit, I must have rubbed it because of friction, which I love. It's so funny. And she was like, oh, you know, woman stuff, my bad. And you know, I was like, uh, huh, Well, interesting because I heard some, I heard some noises from Sam's room, from Sam's
office. Sounds like someone was catching an O in there, which is interesting. And you're still here, Mon. And mom's like, ah fuck, so, so much for quitting before Sam's honor is ruined. I want to point out something though. Please do and that's. When y'all heard. What was happening and figured it out like. You see the realization on her face. She. Did not immediately leave. Embarrassed. No. She continued to listen in even closer.
Yeah, suspicious. I think she listened to all the OS that happened in that office and was like, God, she was just. She got food at 1:00. Point and was just like, sure, she's eating it. She got food for Sam. She got food for herself. Sam never got the food. Yeah, it's like her popcorn that she's eating. And then like when like, the book started falling and stuff, she's like, she heard the whole thing. That's why she's like, Mom, this is you can't hide this shit for me. I heard.
I heard all of it. I heard all of it. Good job, good work. Mom's like, God damn it. So and I think it's interesting that what comes out kind of in the scene too is like, yeah, I was like, I didn't know that. Oh, she said, first of all, like, we thought you were fucking Kirk. So this is, what A twist. You're a fucking Sam. And they're she's like, weird that Sam's into women. I never, I never pictured that. And Mom's like, it wasn't either until I met Sam.
So I think it's interesting that they're like, oh, I don't know what, that it's interesting that they're like each other's like, queer awakenings. Screw my webcam Anyway, so I thought that was cute. That, like, they're they're each other's like queer awakening, which is interesting and does complicate things in relationships when it's like, you're dating, you're like queer awakening kind of thing. All right, so they're in, basically, they're in trouble.
So I don't think they cleaned the room, 'cause I think Mon is like, well, fuck, Cat's out of the bag. But they, her and Yad are like, I'll keep your secret if you keep mine, because forbidden love. We're partners in that. Which gross, but whatever. So mom's like, great. So I think mom is so distracted and she's just like, Sam, Let's get out of here. I'll let Auntie May find the office tomorrow of giant wreck. So the next day, for some reason, Mom's outside, just
like, on her break or something. Who knows? It's at the middle. It's the middle of the day. It's Friday, and she's walking around outside the office, and she's just, like, lost in thought when Sam sneaks up behind her and takes her hand. I mean, at this point, Sam has jumped into the stage in the relationship where she wants to start singing dressed by Taylor Swift to anyone that will listen about Mon. But Mon is just like, we are in public. Sam, you're the queen or
whatever. We can't do this. So she, like, takes her hand away from Sam, and Sam just looks so crushed. And she's like, do you hate me? Do you think I'm gross? Like what? What do you what's what's wrong, Mon? It's like we're in public, girl. What the fuck? So Sam's like, OK, well, let's maybe not be in public here because, like, she's like, I wanna show affection towards you
sometimes. Like, I wanna. Sam wants to do the right thing, 'cause, like, she, I don't think she, I think she hates the fact that she has to hide Mon, period. And I think she feels like she's dishonoring Mon by doing that because then they're doing what Chin and Y'all are actually doing, which is like sneaking behind everybody's back, 'cause, like, gross. They can't be out in public. And she's like, I don't feel that way about you Mon. Like you're the only one for me.
You're the only one I want to show you respect. And Mon's like, Oh my God, Sam. So Sam's like let's get out of here then let's go somewhere else where we can just be ourselves and people don't know us. How about we do that. So because Mon hates flying, they they decide to Sam decides to take her somewhere romantic in Thailand. And so they get in the car and it just we get like a couple of minutes of them just having this really cute road trip together, which is just adorable.
And I I one thing I will I will credit this show always that it does and a lot of media doesn't do is it just lets them have cute moments together and just have joy like this. There was no point to this other than they could have just cut to them at the end. But no, they let them have a couple of minutes of just having fun with each other, which is just really sweet. This show really does that a lot. A lot it just. Lets them sit in moments of like happiness, which we don't really
get. I love that. I mean, we don't. Get it? Often in media, just like the moment of being, so it's always OK, what is happening next? What's the next drama to keep? Move the story along. But that's why I think the it's a huge appeal of fan fictions, 'cause there's quite a few stories where people just write their like normal lives, like them being happy or just like things that they go through. And of course we like the drama. I mean we're here for it.
But you do want to see moments last of them just being cute and happy And so it is nice this they have a little bit more episodes and times to just be and it's nice to see. I mean advantage to I mean yeah they only get 12 episodes and then it's over. But the show is literally just about, yeah, like they don't they ignore all other relationships and exactly. But I like that they just they easily could just make this like plot, plot, plot but they don't.
They just let them have moments, which is very sweet. And it. Doesn't. I don't think it's hard to, no, no, no. It doesn't like extend things unnecessarily either. Like it fits in and it's still a smooth transition to the next piece and it's still like it doesn't necessarily add. To the plot. But it just is still a nice in between scene kind of thing like to carry you to the next piece.
It's a transition. Yeah. I think I would argue that it it does add to the plot because the plot is them, the plot is their relationship. So they're showing moments where they're happy is like an evolution of their relationship. So I would argue that it does, it actually makes their relationship more well-rounded and I think that a lot of media misses that and it's just they would just focus more on the grandmother and this like the
drama of it all versus like. Just let them exist for a second, like, 'cause that's real life. Like let them have real moments. And so I I think that they win in that aspect versus a lot of media misses that entirely. And to me that makes it feel more authentic. All of it. OK, so where do these these two
lovebirds go? Sam takes mine to Thailand's Isle of Lesbos. So they end up at the inn called Sheresa, which is owned by two lesbians who merged, who have their own ship name and that's what they named the inn. And at this point in time, Caitlin and I are working on our flag means death as well. Also Iris Kelly and Iris Kelly. Why? Why? Why do all the queers want to open Inns together? We have three things that we're talking about currently, and they all. Have an inn run by the gays.
And my my answer to this is that because it's cute and coupley, it's a cute and coupley queer thing to do. The gays get to design shit and the lesbians get to build. Yeah, it's true. Cher. Cher definitely built this place with their hands. Let's be honest, valid. But I just think it's just it keeps happening. It must be a theme. Maybe I'm in the wrong line of business.
Anyway, so they get greeted by Rissa, who interestingly calls them Miss. Like Miss Sam, Miss Mon, which I think is interesting versus like honorable lady. So I think Sam purposely, when she made the reservation left 'cause she made a reservation. They knew they were coming. I think Sam interestingly left her title out of it.
So I think it speaks to the fact that when Sam said let's go be ourselves, she 100% meant that with Mon. She's like, I'm just gonna be Sam, you're gonna be Mon. We're just going as our as us. Which I think is adorable and stupidly romantic from Sam. See, she does little things like this where just like, God damn it Sam, she has game. She has. She is smooth as fuck. Nope. Anyway, well, I mean, I think she does, but Sam is still an insecure person that feels
threatened. So, OK, so then Jared comes along, 'cause they're like, oh, Rissa, do you own this place? And she's like, no, well, she didn't answer. And then Cher, her partner, comes along and she's like, I own this place and she radiates big gay energy, and Sam is not having that. So they immediately start getting into it because Sam just starts competing with her. It's like tea, like she feels threatened by her and Sam is still, for all of her, like, smoothness and shit, she is
still an insecure person. And she feels threatened that Cher can take Mon away from her. So she's like, starts getting into it with her immediately. She says she says stuff later where she's like, you're being rude to Mon and like just any excuse to attack this woman, which is interesting. But I like that these two come in so this those lesbian couple. So they're obviously set up as foils for Sam and Mon. Like, obviously because they're they're the they're the couple
that made it right. They did all the things that that Sam and Mon want to do, right? They're living their best queer lives. And so I think it's interesting the way they're dressed the first time they meet them because Rissa's wearing black, which is Sam's color. And then Cher's wearing white, which is a neutral color between them, and pink, which is Mon's color, which is interesting because Shearer's clearly set up as the Sam, so you'd imagine she'd be in black, but she's in
pink. And then Rissa is supposed to be Mon. So I think it's interesting the way they're in their color palettes, but they're inversed. So at first I was like, I wonder why they did that. But I think it's kind of like showing that like these two by living authentically in all of the ways as we'll come to learn with these two. It's like they've completely merged to the fact that they've adopted their partners, Colors, which I think is interesting and I love it, and gay.
Yes. Everything about this is gay, but I I like the way they chose to dress them, 'cause when you cut to Mon and Sam, Mon's in her pink, Sam's in the black. So I love that, basically. So Mon and not Mon, Sam and Cher start getting into it and then Marissa has to pull Cher away before this Escalades, 'cause she's like, God damn it. And I love the way Mon is just watching this and just starts laughing and she looks at Sam. She's like, that's you. That's us. This Is Us.
I immediately feel at home here, Sam. Good job. So in the last scene, they arrive at their room and it's all like cute and cozy, and they make this pack to just get up all over this place while they're here. Basically, they're like, we're going to just be as affectionate as we want in public and just be ourselves, be ourselves. No titles, no nothing. Just be us. And in this conversation, I think it's very interesting and telling that Sam is the one that
brings up marriage. Because remember the the seed has been planted already for Sam. And here it comes to fruition. They're on this romantic getaway, just the two of them, where they can be themselves. And where does Sam go? Immediately Marriage. And she starts playing into this like fantasy from film, because it's Sam. She canonically watches a lot of TV and movies and she's talking about this movie called It's two
translations. It's either fan day or it's like the other translation is one day quote as lovers. So it's like, I adore you. I guess Day is basically what it is. And she looks around the room. She's like, how I'm looking for the bell we have to ring called Lucky in Love where it's like if you ring it twice then you're destined to marry the person you ring it with. And mon's like, you don't need to look for a fictitious bell like that miracle's already begun indicating that like we're
already on track for that. Which is interesting coming from Mon but also for Sam. I think this kind of, like gives her more like confirmation that like, OK, we're on the same page. Me and Ron. I already started planning all of this already Von the wedding like month like weeks ago. I don't know how long they've been dating. Like weeks. She's like, I already started planning the wedding. Great. Glad we're on the same page.
And I think that that kind of like Sam's headspace kind of comes out when she like when they're kissing. Like she grabs Mom's face, which she doesn't do often, but she doesn't hear. Kind of like it's AI think it's like a grounding gesture and kind of like a cherishing, like we're on the same page. Great situation. And then that's that's where this episode like, actually ends, even though the YouTube one continues, but it's actually the next episode. The YouTube one.
Wait, what? Yeah, on YouTube, the last part continues into like at the beginning of episode 10. It's weird. Oh, yeah, you know, yeah, it's. Really weird because you see the same scene over. I was like, this is weird. I don't know why I did that. So we're gonna cover that in just episode 10, 'cause that's where 10 begins. So sounds awesome. Not my webcam. It's interesting. Did it? It's interesting that she's all of a sudden Sam is just, like just turned on.
Like all of a sudden it's just like, yeah, absolutely. Marriage is a thing I want to do. Like, right now we're here, We're going to get married at some point very soon. But like, prior to this it was like, I'm not interested. I do not want to have anything to do with it, like especially with Kirk specifically and but now it's just all of a sudden all good. For. That that's the Mon effect. That's the Mon. She's been thinking about this
with Mon for a while. I think it's also the lesbian. It's a lesbian. Because you don't. See yourself getting married because you're supposed to get married to a guy. And then I'm like, once I finally accepted that I was a lesbian, I was like. Oh, OK. Maybe one day. Maybe like? It's. Interesting if. She wants to. Sam, you can have it all, girl, go get it. So anything else about episode 9 before we wrap this up? Nope. Yes, one last thing. The. The lesbians that own the the
place. Was it Cher? The Marissa. The hot. That's. I love them hot, just they look so nice. I am here. I am here for it. I'm here for it. That's all I got. I think we could have a whole reel of just Cole saying hot, literally this. Show. I can't. I'm sorry, There's a lot of hot moments in this show. There's a lot of hot moments. And that's my my standard of knowing if I like something is are there people that are attractive? If so, probably gonna like it and like it. We do.
So that that concludes episode 9 of Gap the series. Long live, Mon boss. I'm sure we miss things. We always do. Leave comments below. Hope you enjoyed. Next time. Join us as we dive into episode 10. Until we get there. Yes, so we get there. Keep hydrating for lesbian Jesus. I'm ganging it up all over the place. Bye.
