This episode has the horniest opening ever, and I love it so much. So it starts with Mon and mine is all thoughts. No, no thoughts. All more friends. The woman has no thoughts in her brain. She's just sitting there in her little pink nightgown on the bed. Her fingers are trailing all over her arms. This woman is just tingling. She's tingling, tingling, tingling from head to toe from the bath.

Because holy fuck was that a lot for a first date, Even by lesbian Sanders. What was that first date? My mom, who's all shy and has never dated anybody, just had a bath with Sam, the woman she's been in love with since she was 8. Let's be real mom, I'm just going to call you out. And Sam's hands were all over her. We watched it, we saw the bath. And so mom's like, I still have all of these feelings on my skin from where Sam was just like, man handling me.

So many fucking feelings to the point where this woman is just overwhelmed and she's like listen Sam I'm going to bed. I need to calm the fuck down. I'm going to sleep. I I need to go to sleep. And Sam's like you're being weird you're being shy. She's like I just saw your in mom's like shut the fuck up. I can't with you right now. I can't with you right now. Yeah I know you saw everything. You don't need to say it. I'm going to sleep.

This is too much. So poor Mon tries to lay down and Sam is Max thirst because this bitch is also affected. She's like, I was just touching Mon. I want to touch her more and in other places, but I don't know how to say that or what to do so before they can go to sleep. Sam's like, listen, Mon, I'm gonna lean in real close, and she's trying to, like, initiate sex, but she doesn't know what she's doing. And Mon is hoping that Sam is trying to initiate sex. And she's like, Sam, what are

you doing? And Sam's like, I just want to see if that expensive bath bomb I bought if the smell is still on you. So I'm just gonna. I'm gonna lean in. I'm gonna lean in really, really close. Cole couldn't handle it handily. There's so many feelings. Too many feelings. Are you better, Cole? Did you just? Oh yeah. I'm fine. I'm good. Thanks. I just didn't say woof, poor mom. Mom just radiates Sam do something. But anyway, Sam does something. She does.

She smells her, which is so it's crazy while Sam doesn't know what she's doing. This is such a move. Like it's very sensual and shit and you just like, hear mom breathing and she's like dying on the inside, like losing her fucking shit while Sam is just like, inhaling her, which is wow. Oh my God. OK, so then, Sam. Sorry if Sam. Actually knew what she was going to do. After. That it would be really hot, but

she's just like but like. From Ma's point of view, she thinks Sam's going to do it because Sam, preceding this, does moves that she's done before. Like, she kisses Mom's hand. And usually she does that when she's about to, like, do something big. So Mom's like, oh fuck, Oh my God, she's the office, the office meme where she's like, it's happening, Oh my God, it's

happening. That's what's going on inside of Mom And Sam's, like, I don't know what I'm doing, but I'm just gonna, we're just gonna 'cause she grabs mom's hand, which is like, on her abdomen, and Mom is dying. She's like, Oh my God, here we go. And then Sam is like, I don't know what the fuck I'm doing. I don't fucking. I'm going to sleep. Mom. Good night. Sam pulls away, and mom just looks like she wants to kill Sam. Like she's like, I was ready to go and you just left. And I want to.

I just. Sam, how dare you? Like she wants to. The murders on that woman's face, it's just murder. So dejected like just like. She's like, God damn it's. Hitting me. She's like, listen, I find your uselessness endearing most of the time. But now I I want to kill you because how dare you. So Mon is so worked up, obviously from all of us, from the bath, the smelling, the Sam

was going to do something. And then she said because I love when they're there and mom's like, what are you going to do next, Sam? Sam's like, I'm going to sleep. Mom's like, I hate you so much. So, Mon, poor little horny unresolved Mon, she goes downstairs, 'cause she's like, I can't, I can't even be in the room with you, 'cause what the fuck, Sam? Finish when you start, girl, someone goes. Over was Sam just being the biggest tease so she could make the moment it actually happens

that much better. No, I wishes. No, I wishes. She wishes. Benefit of the. Doubt. She wishes no 'cause you get this out of Sam, Like in the covers, being like she doesn't know what she's doing. She's panicking. She's like fuck, fuck, fuck, OK. She's like, that was so close. I don't know what to do next. It's like, I don't know what to do. She's like, you smell really good. I just, I don't know what to do. But I love the way Mom's like, I want to kill you. I want to kill you, Sam.

So Mon and her sexual frustration go downstairs and she goes to watch TV and she's watching some like, K drama or something on the TV. And Sam finds her 'cause Sam has insomnia normally, but now she's like, fuck, well, Sam's, well, Mom's awake. Maybe I can try again. So she, like, goes downstairs and she's like, couldn't sleep. Mom's like, Yep, Yep, Yep can't. I'm wide awake, Sam hand hand. And Sam's like, OK, so Sam, without saying anything, changes

the channel. Mom's there watching something. It's not like watching it with her. Sam's like, what the fuck is this? Like who's the chance channel? And this is when she does the thing where the next thing she finds scares her. So she does the like she's scared looking through her fingers thing, which is hilarious. And then she moves on and eventually settles on this like safari documentary as one does. And Sam's like this looks good.

Let's watch this sure. And the lions immediately start getting it on and Oh my God, is this just awkward and hilarious to watch. The two of them watch this and they're both having horny thoughts while they're watching this cause, like, mom keeps, like playing with her skin because she's all tingly and she's like, God, the tingles are back and they're getting worse and I wish we were doing that.

And she starts, like, biting her finger And like, Sam is also like, how do but how do I, how do I like, how do I? And then they make eye contact at one point and they're like, oh fuck no, I wasn't thinking gay thoughts. Were you thinking gay thoughts? Oh my God.

The only thing that this reminded me of them watching this like Discovery Channel documentary type thing was the song from The Bloodhound Gang, which is literally the lyrics, just and the only thing that was like coming into my mind while this was happening, aside from like them being obviously really wanting to do things and not really knowing what those things are to do, was the song, The lyrics, the song lyrics. You and me, baby ain't nothing but mammals.

So let's do it like they do it on Discovery Channel because which is it's just. It's so fitting. It's so fitting. That is absolutely Sam's energy though. Or she's like that. Let's do that. And Mom's like, I don't know this song, say. I'm not gonna have to spell it out for me. What the fuck? So then she tries to spell it out and she sort of and she was like oh do it but do it in Thai sounds like pray in English or or or do it in English sounds like pray in in Thai.

So so she's just like. OK, I guess we're Ma's like, thank God, because I'm having all these impure thoughts right now. Let's cleanse that shit. She's like, yes, let's pray 'cause I can't with you. And Sam's like, no, Oh my God. And to be fair, like, Ma gets really upset that Sam's not being straightforward and Sam's she's trying. But, like, to be fair, this is awkward. Even if you're not Sam to, like, have this conversation, it can be very awkward.

So I think Sam is trying really hard, but she's like, I'm pointing at it. I'm saying in an indirect way, but when Mom keeps pushing her, she's like, what do you want? Sam? And Sam doesn't say anything. And she's like, what were you trying to do upstairs earlier? And Sam's like, nothing. She just doesn't know. She's like, Oh my God, Mom, why don't you get it? Mom's like, I do get it. I just want to make sure you know what we're doing. And mom. Is just. Go ahead.

Sorry, no, go ahead I. Was gonna say Mom gives her so many tries. She's like I'm going upstairs Mon Sam. And then Sam's like, OK, mom like God damn it, she just goes upstairs. She's like. Oh. Boy, you could have asked, Mon. You could have asked. Well, like Sam could have like she's Mon was trying to be like just say it like I don't want to be the one. You're right. Mon could have asked.

But like she was also like I don't want to be the one to ask this like I I also think that there's the like mask like masculine feminine dynamic as well like mask femme dynamic. And so Mon is definitely the more femme person and and Sam is more the mask person. And. So I think Mon really wants Sam to be the one to initiate something like this. Yeah, no, she definitely does.

But like, I feel bad for Sam because Sam is really trying and it's like this can be awkward to like and so Sam's like she she's sort of a person that like she'd rather like do actions and like, but she's like I don't know what the actions are like. She just she tries and and I feel bad because like mom gets mad and the crux of what she's mad at she's like you're not being honest with fans and like I'm trying. I just, I don't know how to say this.

Like I've never been in this position before. So it's it's just hard to navigate no matter what. It can be very challenging and awkward and stuff and like adding Sam's dumbassery on top of it, like doesn't help anything really in the scene and just poor man is just left unfulfilled and just the horny as fuck he goes That's so bad for him. She's like, God damn it, she gives her so many tries to be like, come on Sam and Sam's like, fine, whatever, have a failure.

Oh boy, oh boy. Poor like and Sam like. You gotta give her a little bit of credit though, too. Like, she really did try to an extent like she did and she was like, please get like pick up what I'm putting down. Like please don't make me say it out loud. And mom's like, Nah, you got to have, you're going to have to say it got to have. You got to tell me what it is you're you're wanting here. Like I want you to tell me. I want to hear it from you is what I was getting from it.

Oh, for sure. And in general, that is their dynamic. Like Mom is trying to get Sam to do that with her feelings. Like, period. But like asking for sex can be hard. Like, especially like obviously if you're someone like Mon who's like a shy person, that can be hard. So like, I can see why Mon's not asking because she's a shy person. Sam is a bit more direct, but like, still, it's it's can be awkward to like if it was awkward to watch the documentary, like it can be

awkward, right? And so, like, you can't fully blame Sam for like, quote, not being honest here because like this, this can be kind of hard to navigate. And so I feel bad for her in the sense that, like, Mon's almost rejection of Sam in the scene where she's like, fuck you, fuck the Sam, I'm going to sleep. I think that puts added pressure on Sam going forward when Sam is trying and she's like, fuck, like this really is all on me to like to do.

And that's a lot to put on like one partner, you know? Yeah I I, I, I think Mon is putting way too much pressure like like you're saying pressure onto Sam to be the one to like make that first move and to like or make a more direct first move because Sam's definitely, I mean switching on the Discovery Channel or the the the mating channel was definitely a move. She's. Making moves. They're just not good ones. She's trying. She doesn't know what she's doing.

It's not that she's being dishonest. Sam generally doesn't know what the hell she's doing. I know, and this is such a odd first step for someone who's never done anything with with women before too. Like it's like, I don't how do you navigate something like this as well. Like I and I'm assuming she's been in relationships with with men or at least with Kirk of

some sort and so Kirk rather. So it's just like it's a it's a different type of situation that she's trying to be like well, I I I've done something before but like it usually isn't this difficult to like. I I'm a like. Bring something like this up. I think adding queerness on top of all of this makes it more complex, yeah? And neither of them know what they're doing. Neither of them. Some, but Ma's just like, listen, I'm horny like Sam take care of this.

And Sam's like, I don't know what I'm doing. I can't. And that's basically the scene, and it's just, Oh my God, all right, Anything else about the opening scene before we move on to, like, the friends? No. OK, so then the next day the friends are like, great. You guys had your first day date. What the fuck happened? So they get together with Mon to get all the tea, and it's tea and Jim and Cade Cade via the phone, 'cause she the people

that she worked for. Like, you got to stop leaving the set we we're on. You're fucking with a budget at this point. So kids like, fine, I'll FaceTime them. I feel like she has a set number of times she's allowed to run off set and she's already used them, which is why she doesn't like come back as much from here on. It's true. They're like, we will fire you. She's like, OK, fine, I'll just FaceTime them. But they're like, come on, tell

us what happened. There's a warm on is trying to tell them what happened and it sounds promising. And she's like, well, we took a bath together and everyone's like, yay, OK, nakedness happened. Great, great. And she's like, what else, what else? Whatever. That's amateur shit. What else happened? And someone was like, well then we like laid in the bed and they're like, OK, we're getting good. And then she's like, then we watched Lion's House, and I was

like, what? Like they're like, T's like, OK, well, you know, Sam is weird. Probably has weird cakes. OK, then what? And Sam and Mom's like, then we went to bed and you're like, Oh my God, you guys are the fucking worst. They're Jim's. Like, why are our friends so stupid? Like, I love their reaction and I love how Jim is like, Mon. How do you how do you not fuck her the minute you walk in the house. And then Jim gives this explicit, she's like, let me tell you all the places I would

fuck Sam if I were you. And she's like everywhere. She's like the front door, the kitchen counter, the bathroom everywhere. She's like, how did you miss that Mon on your first date? Like, Jesus Christ, Jim, it's so funny. I love her so much. Just she's like on you're the worst. Just that whole house is ripe for. There's no you've got what? What is the point of that house? Come on. Jim's been there like once too.

And I, so I looked at you, catalogued that and she's like, I don't fuck Sam against that wall. Like, you know, when she's in the house and she's like, OK, yeah, that would be good. That's it. That looks like a sturdy shell. The table's sturdy, you know. You know, he's just testing it out. You just for me. You never know. You never know. You never know, Jim. Just scoping the place out. But anyway, the corpse of it is, they're like, they're like, OK, guys, Sam is fucking useless

because what was that date? Sam obviously botched this. And so at the end of the day, they're like, OK, well, this is Sam, and Sam obviously wants this. And Sam would never make the first move about something she wants because that's who Sam is. So they're like, Mom, you're going to have to make them the first move. And Mom is like, what the. She's like, I asked her out. She's like, I I keep making all the first moves. I'm tired. This. I don't want to make the first move Here.

I'm shy. And this, you know, Sam's the older one. This should be a Sam. Sam should do this. And he's like, all right, fine. Well, let's think about Sam. Sam's somebody who's always being controlled like so. But with you, she seems to be changing. So maybe she will change her her mind. And T's like, let me give you this advice then, OK? I'm not asking you to top Sam yet. We'll get there when we get there. I'm not asking you to do that.

What I am asking you is that, like, be receptive to what Sam wants to do. And like, if Sam makes a move, remember, she's weird. The moves got to be weird. If Sam starts acting weird, just let it happen. Just let it happen. Sam will get there eventually. She's just it's got to be weird. Ma. Just can you just let it happen when it happens? And Ma's like, all right, yeah, I think I can do that.

So it's going to be weird. It's going to be weird And so Sam and the next thing does a weird move and Mon is like, I don't what is happening, but Oh my God is this fucking cute. So of course we're back. We go back to the office where they're not working and Sam texts Mon at the at the beginning of the day. She's like, hey, I'm sorry, you're you seem upset with me. Please don't be upset. At the end of the day, I'll buy you snacks and, like, make it up

to you. And mom's like, OK, so at the end of the day, she goes into the the office, Sam has Lex in the room. There's candles everywhere. And Mom's like, why do we need candles if we're just eating snacks and there's like, wine and shit and mom's like, I don't know what's happening. Come on girl, when you see Sam light candles, you should know what that means by now. Right. She lit fifty of them for the past. Like you should not be confused by this, but Ma's confused for some reason.

She's like, I don't understand. This is weird. It's weird. Yeah, exactly. T tried to warn you. She's got to do some weird. This is one of my favorite scenes though. Snacks. So funny. This was so funny. So Sam orders a bunch of snacks, they arrive and then she's tries feeding them to Mon because Sam is trying to re enact Lady in the Tramp and Mon has never seen the movie and so it's not translating.

And I like that the the snacks progressively get longer and longer and Sam's like God fucking damn it because mom keeps like breaking like every time. Every time Sam tries to make the move, Mon panics and then she like eats the whole thing and Sam's like fuck this, she pulls out a rope. She's like this is 3 feet long. You can't just eat this in one gulp and she's like, I'm going to bite the end of it and give it to you so that this is more

clear. And when I say Sam has game, she has game, she has game with AY in the scene because Oh my God, how mom kept it together when she was like making the move with the rope candy, Well, Mom doesn't keep it together. That's the problem. She's like, something's happening. What is happening? Why is Sam getting so close? Fucking me with her eyes? Like, what is happening in the scene? So Mom just, like, ends it before it can get farther.

And she's like and like leans back in her chair and she's like, Sam, what are you doing? And poor Sam. She's like, did I, did I fuck it up? Like, did I do something wrong? Like, I don't understand. I saw it in the movie and the lady, the tramp gets a lady. Why isn't this working? And Mom is like, mom was nervous when she walked into this room. Like they have like a scene where she's like shaking and like gulps and like, so she's like, Sam's going to do something.

I'm she's nervous. So Mom's in her head, I think. So when Sam actually tries to make the move, she's like, just fucking panics. And really, Sam, you should just get her a Disney subscription so she could watch a movie so she wouldn't be sucking. Use your money. But like, what did she think that she was doing? I don't. Know. Because even like that last one, she held still and let Sam do it and then she would pull away and like break it.

So like she knew. Like she could see what was happening and it was like she was just teasing her. I know it's not fair. Sam was literally undressing her with her eyes and I don't understand how Mom didn't catch that. I wonder if it's more like she wants Sam to ask her directly and to not, like, play these kind of weird games. I think she, she eventually kind of gives into it and is like, OK, this is how you're going to do this. OK, fine.

But I wonder if she's just kind of like, I have been asking you to be direct. Like I want you to be more direct about this and this is a weird. Like, maybe, But also, I think Mon's freaking out because I think Mon is also just nervous because, like, I think while Mon wants to move things along in the relationship, she's scared.

So I think because she, when she comes in the room, she's in with the with the, with the sax, sees the candles, I think she knows, like Sam has like something on her mind, something romantic. And Mon's nervous. So I think that she's just like, she's scared a little bit. And Sam comes in here with all this confidence. And then I think it's when it this switch, when Sam's like, hold on, did I do something wrong? Like, is something wrong?

I think that's when Ma kind of, like, gets out of her head a little bit. Because then that's when she's like, she catches on. She's like, oh, OK, OK, try it again. Yeah. And because because in this scene, when they try it again, Ma is so impatient, she stopped the game immediately. She's like, it's like the lip gloss thing. When Sam's like, put the lip gloss on, Ma doesn't even put the lip gloss on. She's like, fuck it, I want to kiss you. Mon does it to Sam.

She's like, they both bite it. Do one bite and Mon's like, it's over. Just, I'm going to kiss you. Like, let's let's just move this along. Yeah. And then I'm confused because then Sam kisses her and like it's a more intense kind of kissing than they've ever done before. And then at the end goes this is kissing And like, did they not know? I don't know why she's explaining this to Mon because they've kissed before. Like, is this a is this a kitten jade situation?

Caitlyn. Or she's like, that was a kiss and it's like you've kissed her before. I don't. I don't understand why you're explaining this to mom. Well, it's not Disney, so it really shouldn't be, I know. I'm so confused. She's like, mom, that was a kiss. And mom's like, great. Side note, will a discussion coming sometimes. Keeps getting moved. OK. Anyway, so she's like, that was a kiss. I hope you enjoyed that. There was tongue in that kiss so it was different.

But also Sam's like that was kissing. Hope you enjoyed. Now let me tell you that you're the most special person in my entire life. I think lesbian Jesus cause like Mon that's what Mon really needed to hear because I think Mon was feeling it. But again is worried about being other and like all this other stuff and she's very in her head about her own insecurities about Sam. So for Sam to outright say that, like, you're special to me, Ma needed to hear.

And this one Ma really starts relaxing and she's like, OK, she's like, yes, I feel that now because you're being honest with me, and that's what I want, 'cause you're honest with no one. So the fact that you're honest with me and showing me that shows me that you're that that you think I'm special, basically. All right. And I have to note that like by this point in the show, Sam is like never guarded around Ma like the mask of like poker face.

Sam never. It's like never on around Mon. Like I think it's completely gone at this point, which I think is huge because she's been wearing that mask of like that defense mechanism for so long. And I think that was like part of Sam being insecure. And I think this is demonstrating that Sam is, is more secure with Mon, which who knows when the last time that really happened with Sam, who knows it's it's got to be at least a decade, maybe more you

know. And for Mon too, this whole thing is, is really huge because she's been so, like flummoxed over reconciling with Sam. Like reconciling Sam the idol, like the person she has been worshipping and stalking basically versus Sam the person, like who Sam actually is under the title, under the money, under the mask, the fame, all of that stuff. So and you know, now she has Sam the real person right here telling her that she's special and showing her exactly who she is by being very honest.

And I think that's not only validating to Mon, it's it's special because she knows that Sam is not like this with anybody else. So, like, I think this is just all the feels from on, you know, this line from Sam. And once she hears it Thursday, Mom comes out. And mom's like, yeah, kissing was great, Sam. But is there anything else we can? And Sam's like, yeah, Want to go home and do it, so they leave.

All right. So they make out all the way to Sam's. And I think Jim's advice is in Mom's brain because she's just pushing Sam against walls and stuff. And she's like, Jim said this was good. Let's find out. And poor, poor Sam. Stan's like trying to undress Mom before they even get up the stairs. And I think Sam again. Hypertension runs in her family.

Sam, poor Sam, has like a Nosebleed, 'cause she gets so like excited I think her blood pressure rises and then it ends up in a Nosebleed. So it unfortunately stops what they were about to do. And this was very cute when like, Mon is like taking care of Sam a little bit and Sam's like, can you compliment me? I just that was really shitty. What just happened? And Mom's like, no, you just you failed Sam. I'm not going to compliment you right now, which is really brutal, actually.

Of course, Sam. Sam needs to. Reassurance she does. She was like, listen, I was just turned on and this happened, and mom's like, OK, I'm not going to compliment you, though, because like, what the fuck was that, Sam? But it's at this point where mom's like, OK, I feel like all the pressure's been on you to, like, do everything. How about we learn together? Because, like, we're a partnership. Let's let's both learn because we both don't know what the hell

we're doing. So what's the best way to learn how to do this? You call your queer friends? OK, I love this. This whole. I love this. OK, so Sam hides in the bathroom. Well, Mom is in. I don't even think she's in Sam's bedroom. I think she's in a room like they separate Mon calls, Yuki Sam calls AT and I'm like 100% sure Yuki and T are in the same room, 'cause if you look at the color scheme and she's like, Yuki is wearing like T-shirt, I'm pretty sure they just

fucked. And they're like got the phone call and they're like, OK, these two. So they're like, both like, give me sex advice. I don't know what I'm doing and Yuki's like, great Mon, this day has finally come and we're going to talk about this. Let's talk about this. And T's like T laughs at Sam. It's so funny. She's like, OK, let me walk you through this. And I I just have to say that Yuki and T must have a wild sex life because both Sam and Mom fall asleep while on the phone with them.

So this conversation must have been really long. Like, T's like, Sam's like, that was helpful. T and then T's like, that was just the basics. Let's get into all this stuff. And so it just goes on for, like hours and like, Sam falls asleep. Same thing with Yuki. So I just I love everything that this implies. I I know, but aren't they? Didn't they fall asleep in the same bed though? Yeah, so something they migrate. Super confused about.

Do they not hear what the other person is talking about? I think they were just, I think at that point they were just like listening and listening and listening and and they just fell asleep cause like they started in different rooms. And then I think when Sam and Mom were done talking and the others, the Yuki and T were talking, they just like, sleepily converged. What did you think they would ask each other who the other person's talking to?

Before they fell asleep, like why are they both on the phone and falling asleep? Like, yeah, I. 'Cause they're dumb. Yeah, they're dumb. But I have a question. What is your When do you think Yuki and T hung up though 'cause I guarantee they weren't still there. Wait, Yuki and T are in the same room? Also in the same room? Sam and Ma or not when the conversation starts. So pretty sure. Like, yeah, they're like, he's like, he's like Mod. Yeah.

Are they asleep? Yeah. And they both hung up. Like, let's do some of the things we were talking about. I want their show. I want to spit off about these two. Please, please. Because I want to hear the conversation that went on so long that Sam and Mod fall asleep. I know I don't understand. I'm telling you, they just, they were like, let's get into all of this. I wonder if all of it, they both were just like this conversation ended 3 hours ago.

But I'm so afraid of like what might happen if we both hung up the phone that they're both just like were could be tending. We're on the phone still. So what are you planning to do in the morning? Oh, that's nice. Was that is that a good restaurant? That's my theory. They can still or like. They hung up and just fell asleep on the phone. Well, I think Mom did. Mom fell asleep on the phone. Sam's phone is somewhere else. And then she's like, where the

fuck's the phone anyway? Doesn't matter. But the thing that it implies about T and Yuki, they have a lot to say about sex, so good for them. OK, so those two, everybody falls asleep. So then the next day, obviously nothing happens because they fell asleep on the phone learning about sex. So the next day reinforcements arrive in the form of Jim who tells them to get drunk with some heavenly water, AKA Scotch to ditch and also to ditch the fake nails before someone gets

hurt. Which I love that advice. She's like you guys need to what are you? I'm glad nothing happened last night. You would have like bend up in the emergency room. So I had. I had a note about the nails. I was like, oh Lord, if you did not know this is going to be a lesbian sexual mission, you sure as hell do now. I know, like they picked some like insane nails too.

So like, I'm glad Sam failed before Mocha Hurt, but I love that realistic detail of like Jim ringing that up like thank you writers and then like they actually go and like get the nails removed and stuff. But this scene with Jim is so fucking funny. Like, I like when she's like, OK, listen, take it from me. Drink, drink the alcohol, your inhibitions go away and then you can get the deed done. See this baby? How do you think I got the baby? You're welcome. How do you think?

What I what did I have to do to get the baby? Exactly. Take my advice and she's like and if you can't I will personally come over here and coach the two of you like I just love the way she's so done with them. She's like, please understand what I'm saying, You get it, please understand it. And if not, I will show and tell you into this I've already picked out three locations that would be great.

In this world, Oh my God. Although I do want to say like, I understand it for like you're you're just trying to like get to a spot where you're comfortable, but be careful how much alcohol you drink. Wow. Apparently Cole's camera did not want Cole to say that. The camera's like, yes, alcohol I. Guess so all the alcohol, but because. I That's such a that's something that media portrays a lot is like you drink alcohol and you have sex and like it.

It lessens your inhibitions and all that kind of stuff, but also can get not necessarily in this situation, but just in general. Like, it can get you into sticky situations of like you need to drink in order to have sex and. Are they really ready if they need to drink that way? Right. So that that's that was kind of AI didn't I understand for like the plot point and for the show and everything but I didn't like the the message that that brings up.

So that that was kind of a like a weird, a weird bit that they, like, needed the alcohol in order to do anything. Let's talk about that though, so I like what you're saying. However, how it's used in the show I think is smart because if you watch the progression of the relationship, the amount of alcohol they drink diminishes over time, demonstrating that like they're not afraid or like not afraid, but like in their heads about this they are more getting more comfortable with

each other. So over time you see like the alcoholic goes away basically. And that and good I'm glad that it does because that's that's definitely a an important thing to like point out and like bring up though too oh. I will definitely point out because it demonstrates how comfortable the two of them are at the time. But like if friends are getting desperate, they're like we told you what to do and you guys still they're like you both are

people who are in your heads. You need to like, relax. So like, that's the advice. Also other thing I want to note in the scene Sam invites Jim to her house. OK, I think this is the this is the first time that Sam has invited any of her friends to her house. So I think that speaks volumes to how Sam is changing and opening up in general as a result of Mon Mon's influence on her because the friends never come to the house and like she invited Jim, which Sam's growing.

Yeah, she's trying, you know, like she's. She's trying. She's doing, she's changing. And it's a good thing. So I just kind of wanted to point that out. Jim must have been like, come to your house. Like, really me. What? Your actual house, 'cause I always meet at restaurants. I think it was really cute that she just did that. OK, All right, let's get to the

mission. Good job, Sam. Sam, Sam gets the job done. OK, so now that they have the bottle of Scotch, To your point, Cole, the way they kill this bottle of Scotch, like I would be dead. Like they almost drank the whole bottle, which is no I'm pretty sure. They drank the whole bottle. No, they didn't. There's there's some a little bit left, like a little bit when they stop. I thought they were just continuing and they were showing us for. Gretchen. No. They get to a point.

They almost drink the bottle like Sam's a little bit more and they don't finish it like they. Either way, either way, that's so much that's. What? I mean for people who don't normally drink, like Scotch or whiskey, like you'd they'd be dead. Like, that's so much alcohol. Like, how were they not dead the next day? Like, we don't see the hangover. Like, it's just right. That was a lot of alcohol. I love how it starts, though. Sam's like, OK, let's do this.

Pour. Mom's on the couch with the the drink, and she's like, this smells weird. I don't know about this. And then she looks the same. Sam's like, chugging this thing. She's chugging it. Sam's chugging it. And then she's like, wow, that was gross. I'll do it again, 'cause, like, Sam is just like, I need to do this, I need to do this. And Mom's like, God damn it, are you in a hurry?

Like, what's going on? And Sam's like, do I look like I'm in a hurry, 'cause I'm, I'm just trying to not be nervous. So she pours another one and she's cute. She keeps clinking the glasses with mom, which was really sweet. And then when she goes to the second drink, Mons just like still sitting there and Sam's like, she's like drink, drink the damn thing, let's get through, let's get this going, which is really funny, so. Sorry, go ahead. No, no, that was it.

I was just gonna say I do like that. It's both of them drinking though, like if there's going to be alcohol use, I am glad that it's both of them sharing the experience together on the same and even playing field kind of thing. Not one person needing to be intoxicated in order to want to do something with the other person. So I I do. That does make it a little less, like funky with how much alcohol they're. Drinking.

It's just so much alcohol. But yeah, I I agree it's a mutual thing, 'cause they're both nervous. You know. I'm with. I'm with them on that, but it's they drink so much, I'm surprised this even happens. And they didn't just, like pass out. I thought this was, this is how I'm like, they're going to pass out and wake up with hangovers,

but they don't. It gets to a point where like Sam pours mana glass, gives it to Mon and Mon, like grabs her hand over the cup and Mon's like and Sam's like, great. We're at that stage. Let's get into this. OK. And then they start, and then Sam starts making her move and she starts with the hand kissing thing, which is really cute. And she does it a lot with Mon. Like, again, when she's about to do something big, like a big

gesture. And I like it because I think it's something that's grounding because there's there's, it's chivalrous. It's like a chivalrous action. And there's like sincerity in the way that Sam is doing it. So it's a way to like, keep it real with Mon in this moment. That's can be nerve wracking and scary which is why they have the alcohol to begin with. So it's a cute little detail.

And I I like the way they do this because Mon is clearly very nervous and I feel like Sam is like calming her down and like grounding her in a way before they even kind of get into anything and. I think to add to like the shibrullah thing, whatever. Shiver OK Chivalry. Chivalrous. Chivalrous. I don't know chivalrous. Chivalrous doesn't like Harry Potter Character. It's chivalrous. Yeah. Oh goodness. It's it's it's a very like mask femme thing.

Again, like Sam is again being like you are a more like the more feminine person you are, like precious and like. Correct. Like it seems special. You're special to me. Yeah, so I I also, I also like that type of. I don't know if I like the dynamic, but I like that that's what she's showing her. Like Sam. Sam is showing Mon. And to piggyback off of that, I like that it's Sam doing it. Because in tradition, in in the world of chivalry, Sam's the

lady. Like Mom should be doing it to Sam. You know, whoever's courting Sam, because Sam's the the lady, the noble woman, She's supposed to have her hand kissed by, like, the knight in shining armor. So I love this always Sam doing it. So it's it's another. Way of the Knight, Sam. No, I know. No, I know Sam plays the role. But like, in reality, Sam's the lady, and really she should be the one receiving that.

And I liked it. It's her flipping their social status is what I was getting at. Like consciously doing it to be like, no, mom, we're on the same. Like I think you're above me again. Like that's what she's demonstrating to like Mon constantly. Cause Mon is insecure about her social status when it comes to Sam. So I like that Sam does these gestures. It flips that for Mon. Yeah. Yeah I like that a lot. OK Then they start kissing and

things start happening. And for some reason Mon is like, I feel guilty. Strucker. Like, like we finally remembered who Kirk was because we always forget about him. Sam's not allowed to kiss anybody else. But, you know, she has a fiance. Interesting. It's interesting that it's here.

So because at no point ever has Mon brought up Kirk and felt really guilty about it, because I think that, like, they're getting to the point and Mon knows where they're like, going to cross a line they can't come back from basically by doing this. And I think they're both aware of that. But Mon's like, there's another person in this we're not talking about. Maybe we should talk about him and Sam's like, we don't really need to talk about Kirk. If things go well, it's like,

Sam, come on now. She's like, if things go well, I'm going to break up with Kirk. Because for Sam, I think she's like, if we can do this, then like, this is it like that? You know, the marriage thing's going to, you know, she's planning the wedding. She's like, if we can get through this, the the marriage is going to work out and like, fuck her. Who the hell is Kirk?

Kirk who? And when mom tries to protest this, Sam's like, just stop talking and just like, that's what she like, goes for it. Because I think for me, it frames like what they're about to do is like, it's a it. They it seems like they view it as like sacred in a way, which is great. Like not everybody views that way about sex, but I feel like that's the way they're both viewing it. And that's why mom's like, Are

you sure? Because like, you have your betrothed and all this other crap and Sam's like, Yep, no, I want you. I'm telling you that again. Stop talking. Just let it happen. I wonder if Mon doesn't consider emotional cheating bad. And like, sex is the line. Like, this is when what would hurt Kirk? Yeah, but I mean, like, come on, Kirk. Well, also, yeah, I agree with

you. I don't think neither of them, either of them considered the emotional cheating they've been doing on Kirk. I don't think Sam cares about him, but. I told. Him, I don't want him, she tells him flat out. I don't like you all the time, so I don't. He's not a thought in her brain. Mod is the one that's bringing him up, which isn't. That's why what I find interesting that mods online was like, remember your fiance? That guy, the one I watched, proposed to you?

Remember that guy? We should probably talk about him before we do this. Yeah. I don't think either of them think about the emotional cheating aspect, 'cause I don't think either of them understood their emotions until like two days ago. So they didn't realize that also. And then, But like, they're like, let's date. Nobody thinks about Kirk when it comes to dating, but like, the sex is where it draws the line. So it's very just interesting.

All right, all right, then we get to like an actual sex scene. And I'm not going to lie, I was not expecting that at all in the show. I thought we were going to get nothing. I thought it was just going to be maybe kissing. So like the way this show just goes all the way out, like Bravo give Idol Factory more projects because Wow and I love the way they did it. It's very like, I like the way they shot it.

It was very like Tastely done. And it's it showed more so like the emotional connection that they were having more than anything else, which is really important because, you know, based on the conversation we just talked about, they feel like they're crossing into uncharted territory together that they can't come back from. And I feel like the way this was shot and done, it showed that with the two of them.

So I love that and it's very like romantic the way it was done, which I think is on brand for these two. All right Then at the end, like I also like that they let them just sit in the aftermath which we never get in queer shows ever. Like if you get a sex scene that like cuts away and you like move on real quick, they let them sit in it for like a solid 5 minutes which is huge. And this is where they have the conversation where Sam's like we're each other's now it's over.

Like I told you no take see back seats now I really need it. There is there is no take see back seats. She's like, you're good and I was like, no, you're good And mine was just like dying inside. I'm pretty sure in the scene, especially when Sam flashes her the real smile, she gets like a real smile at the end. I'm pretty sure Sam could cash any check right now. And Juan would just be like, yes, I'm pretty sure in the scene. And she's like about Kirk. I don't know if I can break up

with him. I need you to take care of him. And mom would be like just help me bury the body. Whatever you want, Sam. Whatever you want, Sam. Whatever you want. Do you want me to kill the grandma too? I just. And whoever hurt you, Sam. Just give me 5 minutes. I gotta recover a bit. I think you want, Sam. Anything you want. Yeah. Any check mod would say yes. At this moment she's she's just a goner. The minute she flashes the the smile that like ruined her when she was 8.

She's a goner like she's gone. Mom's a goner, Caitlin. Yeah, I wasn't sure where we were. We're here. I'm going to skip that one and go with the next one, but at the end they will just start like slightly laughing with each other. And I really liked how it showed, how comfortable they were because, like, it is weird. And yeah, they're just comfortable to feel like, OK, we finally did it. Well, it's not only that. Like, for Mon, I feel like, OK, for both of them. They're so drunk.

There's that. Also, they're drunk forget they're supposed to be hammered on the Scotch. Second of all, for like, this magical thing just happened. OK, Mon is just sitting in the aftermath of this magical thing that Sam just said to her. And Sam was like, I just did this magical thing to you. And so they're just happy, you know? And then I think that comes either before or after. They're both like, you're really good and then you're really good.

And what it just like writers are just trying to kill us with these lines. It's so cute and what I love. Hold on one second. Sorry. But yeah, I just. I love them getting to sit in it. It's very cute and we never ever get that. So at the end, Thirsty Mom, Mom comes out like, oh, because she's riding the high of what just happened. And mom's like, Sam, why are you still wearing your clothes? Like, she's like, this is

unfair. So I love that she does that because like, also yeah, Sam, what the hell. But also it's like Mom can't get enough of Sam. Like, Sam just did this again, the magical thing to her, and then she's like, your to cover. I need more of you. It's kind of what Mon is almost saying. And like, what a validating thing for, like Sam to hear is to have like, Mon still be, like, thirsty as fuck. Like, you know what I mean? All right.

But Speaking of clothes, let's talk about their wardrobes because I thought this was interesting. So let's talk about Sam. So in this, well, Mon's not wearing clothes, so let's talk about Sam took it all off. How's that about Sam? Sam in the scene is wearing a robe that's mostly the color blue, which I found interesting because Sam's wardrobe is very much like black, Gray, white. That's it. There is no variation. Sometimes those colors combined, but that's about it.

But here, she's wearing a robe that's mostly blue. So is this the most color we've ever seen her wear aside from Jim's wedding? And I pointed out at Jim's wedding they're wearing red because Jim made everybody wear red as part of the wedding. But here Sam chose to wear a color which I find interesting. So it's like light blue with

these like big floral patterns. And to me this reads as something Mon would wear because it's very femme, it's very girly, it's very like Mon wears things with patterns, right? And Mon wears pink is her signature color, but she's more like a light pastel type of like palette, so this looks like a pastel blue. So this almost reads like Mon. She's wearing Mon, Which, like you can unpack that in The Land of Sex if you want to Which. For.

Sam. So I think it reads for that because she's covered in Mon right now. Let's be honest, she is. But I think it's symbolizing more so, it's symbolizing the fact that Sam is letting Mon in, right in all of all of those ways. And as a result of Ma and Sam is changing and she's becoming a lighter, freer and happier person, which you see in the

scene. But also like if you look at the outfit like that is a happy, light, vibrant color and pattern and like that's not something you'd normally associate with Sam. So I think this is reflective of how Ma is changing her. So I think the choice to have Sam wear this color in this scene is because her and mom again, are crossing that line they can't come back from, right, by having sex. And they are both conscious of that line that they just crossed together.

So for Sam, it reads like she's choosing to change on her own terms, right? She's choosing her own happiness, which is something that Sam has always struggled with. She hadn't had the courage to really do. So I think this is a monumental moment, and I like the wardrobe reflects that. Especially for Sam, yeah. Yep. I don't have anything to add to that.

I think that was very 'cause I I had mentioned before like the the colors, like I wish they did more, but I guess they they do have it. It's just slightly more subtle than what I what originally it was showing in the the pilot

that they that they released. So I'm glad you you brought that up because I didn't notice that because I I didn't notice that she was wearing some color, but I didn't put it together like how you're mentioning that, like they really think she is starting to wear some brighter or at least. Patterned. With brighter color pieces of clothing. Yeah, and and the key is in the scene that, like, Sam chose this. Like, Sam chose the Outfit for this particular big moment that

they were about to have. Like, yeah, OK, it's very cute and it's very sweet, but poor Mon cannot bask in the post orgasmic bliss because stupid Han brags about it on Facebook the next day like a dumb ass. Which Sam Oh my God was. It even the next. Day so funny. Yes. Is the next. OK, so we we switch over to the morning after, and I have to point out something with Mon that I just. I just noticed when I rewatched it today. Mon wakes up alone in the bed because Sam is Sam.

How many times does Sam bathe Sam's bathing in the morning? She's bathes at night. She bathes a lot. I mean, good for you. Hygiene's aboard. But anyway, she's bathing and Sam? Mom wakes up alone. Mom wakes up in Sam's robe or Sam's nightgown. Because that is not the same nightgown that Sam took off of her. It's black, which is Sam's, and it doesn't look like it actually fits her that well. So she's wearing Sam's clothes.

Take that with what you will, 'cause I think she did get Sam undressed and then got in the robe because Sam was wearing a black robe under the blue get up. So that's interesting. And mom's all like, wow, thinking immediately back. And she's like reliving the the sex that happened. When she goes to find she's getting all these messages from the friends and they're like, woo, congratulations, all this stuff and she's like, why are

they so happy? Sam's in the bathtub and she's like, she's like how could you tell them, Sam, like so can't we have boundaries with our friends And she's like, I didn't text them I put it on Facebook like a dumb ass and the post is like bragging did it with Mon. That's all. I wouldn't. Hate it if someone was bragging on Facebook. Oh my God, it's an on. Like even if it's private, you don't put things online that you

wouldn't want to go public. And especially with her family being so high profile, like someone could just hack that account. I think Sam does want it, but like I, Sam is at the point where she's like, I will get on stage and staying dressed by Taylor Swift for you. She. That's what I mean. She does leaps anytime Mon gives her a little bit. Sam runs with it and she's always like, I'm ready to tell the world Mon and Mon's like, what the fuck, Sam?

Why we didn't talk about this? Julie Sam was so proud and loved that she wanted everyone to know. Oh my God, the smugness on her face and Mon's like, how could you? And she's like, I mean look at you. I would want the world to. I want the world to know that that you're mine. Basically. The way the way, like she doesn't talk to Mon about doing these huge things that affect Mon is infuriating. And Mon has every right to be, like, mad at her. God fucking damn it.

She's so funny. She's so funny though. When she does shit like this though it it is funny, but she's a a dumb ass. OK, so Speaking of Facebook, and then we go back to work and basically what happens? I think mine. OK, before we get to the before we get to Kirk, they go to the office, so they're clothed and trying to work. And then they, like, make eyes over the copy machine and Sam's like, you're cute. You should come to my office later.

And mom's like, OK, so she does. And then Sam, like, attacks her like with her lips, like immediately. And Mom's very cute, like she's like into it and stuff, but she's like, Sam, why did you ask me in here? And she's like, we fucked yesterday. She's like Sam, Good Lord. She's like, OK, I get it. Like, yeah, mm hmm. We did those things and she's like, yeah, we should do something else in here.

And then she, yeah, she like puts Mon on one of the chairs and is like going for it. And Mon's like, we are in, Why do you even have an why do you even have an HR department and say I'm like, why she's like, we can't and said like, no, no, like, I mean, you're hot, so I had to do that. Obviously I can't control myself, but I asked you in here for a reason because I'm going to tell Kirk, like I told you, I'm going to tell Kirk come and tell him today.

So I'm just letting you know my mom's like, OK, I guess if that's what you want and she's like, that's when Sam's like, listen, me and Kirk, there's literally nothing there. It's all my grandmother. This this was an arranged marriage I that my grandmother wanted. I even want this. So when I tell you there will be no hard feelings, there will be, there's no feelings to smash. I'm just telling you that. And Mom's like, OK, I feel better about this now. And they hug.

And while they're hugging, Mon gets a text message. And then she looks at the text message and it's fucking Kirk. And she's like, oh, God. And so she, like, springs out of Sam's arms and seems like, what's happening? Mom's like, it's my mom. I got to go. Sam's like, that's weird. You never do that when your mom texts you. I'm with you all the time. So Mon leaves and meets Kirk secretly, like, around the

corner or some shit. And Kirk's like, Oh my God, Oh my God, I'm Facebook fighting with somebody and they use the same language I taught Sam the other day. And mom's like, people use words. Kirk, it's not that big of a deal. It's just words. It's fine. It's not that weird. And he's like, OK, I guess. And then he goes to look at the Facebook page and Sam changed it from I am your boss to her actual full Christian name. And he's like, holy shit, like, it's Sam.

I'm having a Facebook fight with Sam. What the fuck? I can't be fighting with my fiance. That's not OK 'cause they're both using these weird aliases and then they start fighting with with each other, which fair. I mean, let's not get married, OK? Not a good sign. So he's like, crap. What do I do? What do I tell Sam? You know how she is. She's will murder me if she knows this. And so she's like, mom, you

can't tell her. And she's like, I can't keep another one of your fucking secrets, Kirk. But mom's in a shitty possession. She's like, but I'm keeping a giant secret from you because I just fucked your fiance. So, like, OK, Kirk, I guess if you want me to keep this, but, like, you need to talk to Sam because, Oh my God, she's like, yeah, yeah, yeah, it's fine. It's fine. And really, Sam, you should delete that Facebook post before the queen sees it or whatever.

Because I like when mom takes the phone. She's like, let me let me check her, let me just make sure it's really Sam. And then her inner model looks to go, Thank Christ is at us. This is not frightening. This is a stupid bitch. Put that we've locked in for now. Here. She's like, OK, whatever. She's like, it's Sam. Yeah, if Sam ever got hacked, it's over. Like, but I think Sam would be like, Yep, I'm fucking her.

That's fine. She would own it immediately and like the show would be over because Sam has no Sam has no chill. Ever. None. None whatsoever. No. But then we go to probably one of the worst scenes in my opinion, because this is where Mon gaslight Sam into it being a Sam's fault when like she catches Mon sneaking around with Kirk because she overhears that they're having an affair in the office.

And she of course, I don't know why she believes her employees like let's be real, but whatever. So Sam accuses Mon of cheating with Kirk, and Mon's first instinct is to just feel betrayed and say how could you even think that I'm. I understand that you aren't having an affair, but to her she sees you not being truthful to her, so like. You she isn't. Wrong. You are having an affair in the way that you have a secrets. Yeah.

So thank God she isn't cheating, but Sam does have a right to feel like something is going on. And like, first of all, neither of them know the art of subtlety, but Mon is definitely not. Subtle with the way she. Ran out of the office. Like of. Course, between hearing that and this, and then Mon says she would never betray Sam. You just did because you're lying to her. So yeah, I agree. She is. She is lying to Ma and she's lying to Sam. She's lying to herself too.

She's lying to herself too. She's upset that Ma, like Sam thought that like she was romantically involved with anybody else. And she's like, how on how could you even think that of me? I'm with you all the fucking time. When would I have time to do this? Like, Sam, this is a this this part is absurd. I'm lying to you? Absolutely. But cheating on you, that's absurd. How would that even I'm always with you. What do you mean? OK. And also in depends of mine.

After Sam like calls her out on the line like this Mon tries to explain herself but Sam keeps cutting off because she's like no, no, no. She's just it's that zero to 100 thing that she has. Like she's her own worst enemy when she's upset and she just like keeps cutting Mon off and is like don't even bother. I already know. I I know everything I need to know.

I don't believe you. Like before Mon can even like defend herself she's just throwing accusations at Mon and I that's what's upsetting Mon. She's like, you're not even letting me like fully talk and like you're just accusing me of all these things. And like how could you even accuse things I would never thought you could accuse me of. So Sam's jealous nature does get in the way.

But I agree with you Caitlin like Mon is lying to Sam, but it's just the the 180. And just like she just had Sam in the office a minute ago like being like I'm going to give you the universe I you you're the most special person. And then here she is immediately being throwing like horrible things at her. So like, it's the whiplash too, I think, for Mon a little bit. But the fact that the conversation then proceeds into like, trust.

And I think Mon's the one who says that she's like, well, like love comes with trust. And that's like, Mon, you can't hold Sam to this impossible, the standard of being like, you have to be honest with me so that I can trust you. And then be lying to Sam at the same time. You know what I mean? It's like trust goes both ways and Mod is not living up to her end of the bargain. Which is pretty shitty to be honest.

That's exactly like I think what was pissing me off the most is because she has been preaching like be honest with your feelings and all of that and communicate with me and now she throws it out the window because. Like. It just feels like mods completely changing. Yeah, and I think she's she's being forced to change by this fucking horrible position Kirk put her in because she's she feel she's guilt in human form at this point, 'cause she's lying to Kirk by dating Sam.

So then she feels guilty, like I have to keep his secrets because like me and Sam are both fucking around behind his back and like this whole situation is turning her into somebody she isn't. And like the after he leaves here, she gets on the phone with Yuki and she's like, I feel really shitty about this.

I basically just accused Sam of all this stuff to hide to cover for Kirk and like because I feel guilty about him and like, so you're right, she's, I think she's being forced to change by the situation because the situation is really shitty. So it's fucking sucks. Everybody's right and everybody's wrong in this conversation. I think just to add one more thing about like Sam's like switch into being like super jealous and like angry. She's I feel she's afraid of like being vulnerable.

Like she just confessed all of her feelings for Mon and she's like, I cannot. Damn it, camera. Poor Cole. I cannot be put in a position of like being vulnerable, so I am going to lash out and attack you because I feel threatened and I don't like that feeling and I don't know how to accept or like feel that feeling, process, that feeling. Yeah 'cause let's let's think

about Sam for a minute. So in the moment, if if she's right and Mon is cheating on her, that means that Mon or Sam's at risk of losing Mon to Kirk. Like losing her and Sam has lost everybody in her life that she ever cared about except the grand man who controls her and and as affection, and then the friends who like she's the butt of their jokes. But they love her, right? So I think she's getting sister flashbacks where she's like, I'm going to I love you like or her mom too.

She's like, I clearly she loved her mother and she's like, I'm about to lose you. And like I for Sam, I think it's just triggering all that shit in her in that moment. And I think that's really why she pivots immediately and it's just zero to 100 with the unreasonable amount of like jealousy, because you're right, it's coming from a place of fear. She she like Mon is the most special person to her. She just told her that.

And here she is at risk of losing Mon and she does not handle the reality of losing Mon at all. She does not handle that well. So it's it's she's afraid. She's very afraid and just it comes out as anger. Like that is her like Sam. Like if you notice when when the characters get upset, what is their reaction? Mon cries, Sam goes to anger, right? Because it's she's masculine coded, right? She goes to anger. Anger is her version of crying. So that is what she's doing right now.

And the the shitty part is she's putting it on Mon and like accusing her of shit like before Mon can like, while Ma's trying to defend herself, she's like, Nope, I've already made-up my mind about what's going on with you, and it's just coming from a place of fear. Yeah, absolutely. It's a fear. It's a it's a fear of like I I'm going to be the one to cut you off before you get the chance. To cut me off. Right. Exactly. Self preservation. Yes. Right.

She's like, is that what you're doing on? We're done. And that's basically how the rest of the episode goes because, like, yeah, Sam is getting hurt. And she's like, it'd be fair to Sam, like, up to this point, Like she's the she's really the one that's been laying it all on the line. And she gets to a point where Sam's like, I'm tired of being the only one that lays it on the line. Mom, I need, I need something from you that's like a grand.

I need a grand gesture, cause Sam has does all the grand gestures right, 'cause I feel like Sam gets all the pressure of the relationship really gets put on Sam. A lot of it does. So which again it's the like masculine coded. She's the older person in the relationship too. Yeah, it's just. And she handles it the best she can. But I think as as somebody who gets put in positions like that, where like I'm in positions of leadership a lot, you get fucking tired. Can you make a decision?

Like, I'm tired, So, like, you know, to be fair to Sam. OK, the shitty part too. Is that Mon's excuse during this conversation to Sam was like, listen, I wasn't seeing Kirk. I told you, my mom texted me. Well, she didn't. I got on the phone with my mom and then I ran into Kirk, and then we had a conversation. Sam's like, uh huh. The shitty part is, is after this conversation with Sam, Mon's lie actually unfolds. So she's not on the phone with Yuki upset about Sam and runs into Kirk.

Convenient. Convenient, right? And then they get into a conversation and Kirk's like, I'm so sorry, you're keeping all my secrets and blah blah blah. And I'm going to tell Sam and this and that and Mom's like, Oh my God, Kirk, you need to, like, fucking do something. Because now the whole office thinks we're together and which, what the fuck? Like, clear my name. This is bullshit. And he's like, why would anybody

think that? Like, you're like a little sister to me. He grabs her hands and he's like, I like you mod. And then who overhears this? The most jealous person on the planet. So, Sam, she's like, oh, you do, do you? That's great. And then Sam does a little domestic violence and, like, pushes, like, attacks Kirk, like, physically attacks him. Sam. Oh my God. And I loved it later. Kirk is like she likes me. No, she's. Just that is just she would attack Mon if she liked you.

She's not gonna well. And that's why he reads it wrong. She's like, clearly Sam is jealous. And he's like, I've never seen her jealous of me. Ever, ever. Like get jealous over me basically is what he she thinks. Yeah, over me is what he thinks. But she's like, you just said, you liked her wife. That's what happened. And she's ready to kill you. OK, So that doesn't end well. So she's like, fucks up Kirk, and then Mon's like, I'm leaving, 'cause now she's, you know, she's like, great.

Sam thinks that I'm dating Kirk. Wonderful. So she walks away from the situation and then Mon goes and cries on a bench and for some reason Nop's in the area, conveniently. And he shows up and finds Mon and Mon. And Nop is a good friend to her in the scene where he's like, obviously can see something's wrong and he he consoles her and he's like, well, there's only one person who could ever make Mon this sad. And he's like, what's going on with Lady Sam?

Because that's what this is. Don't even lie to me. And I thought this was really sweet, the way he tries to comfort her. And then he's like, OK, Mon bee bee bro with me. Like, are you guys dating? Because I've said this before to you, that you guys act like you're dating and now you're upset over Sam and like, only, like a lover's quarrel is what this gives me. This is the energy. And he says it and then Sam shows up. She's like, yeah, we're dating.

Like, like, no hesitation. I just, I love it from Sam. And This is why I think, like, if if her Facebook got put on blast, she'd be like, yeah, she would own it immediately. She'd be like, that's right. It's the easiest way to like come out or like do anything. Just people just find exactly are you did you mean to do this? Oh yeah. Yeah, yeah. Mm hmm. Yeah, absolutely. Cause Sam doesn't have the courage to do it. But once it's out, she owns it. She's like, Yep, that's what it is.

That's what it is. So he show, I love that she's immediately gets into it with him because she's like, great, Now you're with another guy that obviously likes you and she's like trying to make it very clear. She's like Mom's mine hands off and knopf's like, great, OK, wonderful. Glad you guys figured your shit out. But he's like, why are you always, always the root of why Mon's crying? If you loved her, you wouldn't be making, she wouldn't be

sitting here crying like this. It's always you that does this to Mon. And I like this conversation in the way this scene plays out, 'cause it's another one of the scenes where like everybody's right, everybody's wrong and I really enjoy it. I think it's really good. Like I like that Nop was here to like be a friend and call out Sam for constantly making Sam like mom upset like she's she is

the root of Mansara like. Most of the time, yeah, it's just the conflicting feelings and the insecurity and the like, which is not an excuse or like or or shouldn't be an excuse or anything, but it's just. I don't know. It feels realistic though. It feels very like first queer love of people who don't know what's happening and are trying but are confused. And there's other people

involved because of course, but. But also they're in a fight because they're not being honest, because other people are interfering with their relationship basically or And the situation that Sam is in is this is like the barriers of their relationship to begin with coming back to haunt them, that the chickens are here to roost or whatever the fuck like. And it's just not going well the way it's being navigated. Partially because Sam is unreasonable and she's very

upset. She becomes a very unreasonable person. And Sam is young and she's reckless and she takes things way too far. And which Caitlin, that was a Taylor Swift reference. Where are you? She's young, but she's reckless. We'll take things way too far. Anyway, that's blank space, OK? OK, yeah, I know. I knew the oh with a nasty skull. There it is.

Yeah, that's Sam in the scene. And so she as Sam as Mon. OK, so basically the way this ends is that Mon's like, Sam, can you just leave because like, I'm upset. I need to be alone. And Sam was like, this is when Sam is like panicking because she's like, oh shit, I'm losing you for real. And that's when she's like, no I'm not leaving. And mom's like, OK, if you're not going to leave like she and mom's like, I beg you, can you leave? Like can you please just do what

I'm asking? And Sam's like, no. So mom's like, then I will leave and she turns to go with nob.

And as she's what does Sam do? Sam's upset and is losing Mon, so she attacks Mon which Sam terrible behavior and she calls her Wang Pong. Which the whole thing this thing is this is fucked up. The fact that Sam calls her this is fucked up. And then the story of this woman is fucked up. Like apparently this is a woman from like a a fictional character from the show who had like 2 male love interests and was executed because of it. Like let the woman breathe. Why are you gonna kill her?

Like it's it's patriarchal bullshit. That's what makes me mad. Because if if Wang Pong was a man, if you wouldn't get executed for having two ladies, that would be celebrated, right? Exactly. So I hate that. And then I hate that Sam calls her that because it's very derogatory And wow, just wow, Sam. Wow. When Sam, when Sam goes in, she goes 100 and digs her own grave with this. This was fucked up.

She grew up in a house where fights like, I'm assuming like, they're meant to hurt because like, you see the way that grandmother talks to the grandkids and it was always meant to hurt them and that's all she knew. So, Caitlin, you are absolutely correct. OK, this is learned behavior from the grandmother. You're right, because let's flashback to Nung leaving and Song leaving. What did the grandmother do when she was losing the person she loved?

She fucking attacked them right as her like self preservation. She's like, fuck you Nong, like I'm taking away all your money. I'm burning your art. Like then you're not my granddaughter anymore. And then I was like, fine, bye. Same thing with song. She's like, you can't have your girlfriend and she's like, yes I can And then she's like, well then you can't live in this house and you can't have my money. And then she's like, OK, bye. That's what Sam's doing. You're right.

She's doing what the grandmother would have done in this situation, which is attack the person that's leaving, hoping that they'll stay. I would also Sam like this was fucked up like. She can't unlearn all the behaviors. He's trying and like think about, like when you're in that heightened state of emotion, like she is right now. She's not thinking clearly. She's just feeling shit and doing shit and like, regrets it

later. But like, in the moment, she's just, she's hurting and then attacks Mon and Mon's the bigger person. She's just like, bawling her eyes out and just leaves. She's like, I can't even with you Sam. Like what the fuck? And she just leaves with Knop, who is not a fan of Sam because he keeps saying shit like this and he's like, I don't know what you say in her, but to be fair, I do not blame. Him like, and it's not even that he wants her anymore.

Like, he understands that they're never gonna be a thing. He just doesn't want her to be hurt. Right. And like he every time he goes to see her, he's like, are you upset about Sam again? Like Ward, what is this? That's all he's there for. He's like, oh, you're so upset again. Yeah, And then, like, Yuki gets to see the happiness a little bit. Like Nop only sees her sad. Yeah, so see him fucked up big time. She fucked up big time. Yeah, I. Don't know. I I I do like that Mon chooses

to walk away though. Like instead of adding to the fight, she's just like, you know what? No. Like, either you'll cool off and come back or this is it. But I'm walking away and I'm not involving myself. So I mean, I I think she's like trying to be the bit like the bigger person. But I I do like that she's not adding to the drama or to the fight. I think that last insult was just like the last the breaking point, really. And she's like, I'm not doing this.

Like, she's finally like, I mean like, I don't deserve this. So I'm just walking away. Yeah, this is Mon respecting herself. Because what pissed Mon off about the whole fight was she's like, wow, Sam, I can't believe you would think this of me like you're supposed to love me and you think this of me. And then for Sam to call her this derogatory thing. Sam, Ma's like, wow, I thought I knew you. I don't fucking know you. Like, I'm leaving. I love me too much for this.

And she just leaves. This is self. This is. So what we're seeing is how the two of them deal with self preservation. It's opposite. Sam attacks you. Mom's like, I'm gonna just leave because I love me. I'm not attacking you. I'm just gonna leave and remove myself from the situation, 'cause I respect myself too much for this. Whereas Sam just like, attacks mom. So they're both in pain and just. Mom's as. Praised as a child. Correct mom was hugged as a

child and Sam was. Sam was locked in a room, I imagine. We'll have a theory about Sam's life when we get to the next episode. I can't wait to get to the next episode. The next episode is my Roman Empire, so get ready for that one. If you thought the other episodes were long, just wait till we get up. Tonight, oh Lord. OK, sorry Caitlin. Well, I hope you enjoyed episode 8.

They did the mission, but then it blew up in everybody's faces and we just have to continue until we get to the happy place again. So until next time, hydrate for Lesbian Jesus. Gay it up all over the place. Bye.
