Hello and welcome to Big Gay Energy. I'm Caitlin. And I'm Fiora. Come along with us while we dive into the fun and nuances of queer media. Representation matters, and we're here to talk about it. Tears queers with some of the big gay agenda today. Ciora. Today we are continuing our discussion of Blank the Series Season 2 Episode 2 'cause this episode was also a lot and apparently we couldn't cover it in one recording session so we had to do 2. You're welcome.
I'm not surprised I told Theo where this is gonna happen. I'm the time keeper. Yeah, Caitlin can tell by the notes. I'm always in delusion about how long these things will take. So where? We are. The next episode is also gonna be in two parts. Yeah, apparently my notes. Say. A lot are intense. Yeah, they were very intense. But we're here and we're queer, and so is this show. Yeah, so that's the problem.
Yeah. Honestly, 201-2022 or three are probably my three favorite episodes in the whole series. That's probably why my notes are so long 'cause I really a lot happens. It's just lovely. One O 4 is mine that was not as long because I was I'm not as great as note just the you did the murder board for one O 4 murder board is still with me. It's with us all. It will come back into play in a future thing. Episode how we're doing putting together. Yeah, yeah. It'll be fun.
It'll be fun. Yeah, we have a super secret at this time. Bonus blank episode. Not this episode, but a different episode where the bird report will be featured. Well, you know when we get there. I I just wanna you can probably hear it, but I am sick right now, so I apologize for my voice. It is a lot deeper.
Theor is a little worried about me because I'm a little unhinged right now, but I'm reeling it in and this is going to be a great episode. All right, now let's get into Part 2 of our discussion, Part three and four of the episode. Yes. OK, so we start with Big Nung doing something on the palace grounds, and Little Nung grabs her from behind, covers her eyes and says guess who? Which I just, I don't understand why this is a thing. Like, I hate this thing, whatever.
But Big Nun apparently, yeah, Big Nun doesn't play into it and says that there's only two of them around, so who else could it be? Which makes little Mung pout and say that it's no fun. Like, but there's a lot going. On well, I was trying to tease her and Big Nung didn't take the big but important take away is that Big Nung says herself. It's just the two of us. Who else could it possibly be? Remember that she says this. OK? Then they transition into like big Nung's like, oh, remember
that test? You had to stay. Over for and study for. How did that go? And I love that little Nung's like, well, obviously I aced it 'cause I'm awesome. And I think this is interesting because remember, if you go back to Season 1 when Lil Nung was in high school, she was like struggling in school. And now in university, she's thriving. So I love that because this is a very real thing.
So 'cause like, I feel like she's one of those people who now that she's in her major, like her area of interest of study, like she's more engaged with the material. And so she's like doing better in school. Also, like she has big nun and is probably just in a better place. So I think that that's just the fact that she at little long is doing well, so well in school that she's not even stressed out about it remotely doesn't do extra studying that we see or have evidence for.
I think it's a testament to how happy she is as a person and how in life where, like, happiness and other aspects of our lives can like, like, make us improve other areas where that has nothing. It's like Big Nung has nothing to do with little Nung, scholastic achievements, but like, the fact that she's happy, relaxed and safe clears her mind and lets her, like, focus on school more. So I think that like, yeah, exactly.
And I think that little Nung is more free just in general now because she has Big Nung. She has freedom away from her grandmother a little bit because she's more of a quote like an adult now. So I think that it's really nice to see her finally have that in other aspects of her life.
And she's getting the recognition in the scene from Big Nun because Big Nung's like, wow, you're amazing, You're so great and all this kind of stuff because like Big Nung's opinion is the one that matters to her, like the period and like the most, right? So like I like this for a little Nung like so it's like her life is is coming together. And then we like in the in the same conversation, like transition to like big Nung's life is getting together.
So it's like they're on the same page like in other aspects of their life too, which is another like cool thing that's happening. With the two of them. Which I love. Yeah, I mean that that is very true. I didn't even think about that. That she finally gets to not have to worry about so much so
she has more mental. Space yeah exactly cuz like remember season 1 little nung was just like stressed out and it's like I need to get out of this oppressive environment with my grandmother I'm getting hit all the time like none of that is happening now. She's just thriving, like finally, like thriving in her like college years. Cuz like, I totally get that. Like being in high school and like being in college are two different environments.
And like, if you're like high school's a big struggle. People will say like wait till you get to university. Things will be different. Like it'll be better in college and then you get to college. You're more of an adult. You're doing your thing that you wanna do. It's, it is super different. So she's. I was told that I was gonna be worse in college. What? Who the hell were? You talking to Kayla or did you drive high school? Yeah, I I didn't get A's. I didn't study.
No, because they're always like you. If you think this is hard, wait till you get to college. And then you get to college and the professor is like wearing pajamas to school. And yeah, we had that one. It was really weird. It's just was forgetting. You're talking to the wrong people. I'm talking more like socially. It's kind of like high. School's. Different than like, yeah.
Socially. You find your people like you're doing your subjects that you like, you have more of a stake in it. It's different. And so like little mug is that person who's thriving in high school, college and like was oppressed. And I mean, it's allowing her to get to do what she wants as well, like. Yeah, what? She never gets to do so, yeah. No, she's like, I am breaking free, Yeah. She's free.
When she breaks free anyway, so little Nung is being nosy and asks big Nung what she's doing, which I'm also curious about because like she's just sitting in the middle of. With with an iPad Like when does Dignon use technology? What is this? Like what is this? When does anyone use that man? What is this? Like we don't even get to see little Doug use the microphone that they bought. Like does anyone actually know
how to use technology here? Little Nong does 'cause she sets up the podcast, she's got the, she checks the engagement. We just never see big Nong using technology. It's very rare. So it's weird that she's on her own randomly with an iPad. I'm like, can you whose iPad is that? Is that yours? You've never had an iPad before, ma'am, Can you use that? I picture it's like my grandmother, like trying to learn him, like right. No, that's that picture. Big nong is. Like that?
Yeah. She's at first on the home screen trying to figure out how to get to the. Place. That's what I mean. I'm like, when they're looking at the iPad screen, what exactly are they looking at? Because like, I'm not convinced Big Nun knows how to use this based on what we know about her. Anyway, what? She anyway, apparently. Doing on the iPad is big Nun is designing her gallery.
So she's not only just like thinking about a guy, she's designing it on this iPad that she's never looked at before, right? Questionable. Questionable, which is literally brand new information to little note. Yes, yeah. So this is Big Nung moving forward, her moving forward. Opening the gallery like again, also in this conversation speaks to how far Big Nung has come period, 'cause now she's making real moves to move forward with her life.
And as like all the pieces are kind of coming together, right? So she has her happiness. She's kind of like has this, has stability 'cause she's not like in the palace, she's never not worried about money anymore 'cause the grandmother kicked the bucket, you know? So like I think for little Nung to hear this about Big Nung, this is, this is a big deal, right? So I think that in the beginning of the conversation, Lamong's like, well, why didn't I know
about this? Cause like, this is a big deal. Why didn't you tell me you're not a girlfriend who's your girlfriend about this huge thing you're doing? But I think, I think Big Nung didn't tell cause again, she explained she's like, well, I don't know if I'm gonna do it. And like, 'cause Big Nung's the type person that overthinks
everything. So I think until she's 100% sure she's gonna committed she to something, she's not gonna like tell you, 'cause like she has to think through all the million what ifs before she commits to something. Like that's who she is. Yeah, I feel like there's two different people, one who, like has to think through everything, and then one who's just like, I have to say it out loud to people to process it, which I'm more like.
And I'm like, just don't take anything seriously until I actually do it. Right. Big Nong is the total introverted version of that. Like I'm like that. I'm like, I thought it through, now I'm gonna do it. I don't usually think out loud, so I get that. But little nong's like I know that about you, but also like, tell me you're working on that. It's more of that. Like, why am I not included?
But the minute like Big nun tells her, she very sweetly includes her immediately and, and she's like, tell me what you think. Like, I wanna hear your idea. So like Big nun does show a little nun. Like I do value your opinion. It's not that I did it. It's just that she has to think it through. And she's like, I'm not gonna include you on this idea until I'm like, convinced I'm doing it 'cause I'm not confident in the
idea yet, you know? Yeah, it's basically both of their insecurities in their own ways showing because Big Nung didn't tell Little Nung that she is thinking about it because she wasn't sure if she wanted to do it because she may not make a profit. So right now Little Nung is insecure that Big Nung is not sharing this huge. This is a huge thing too in her life. So she's like, am I being locked out of her life right now?
And Big Nung, meanwhile, is just insecure, I believe, about failing because she doesn't want to fail. Like she ran away from home to become an artist and it's like did not produce as much as I she probably wanted to by now. But now like this is a big, big step. And it's very public as well. So like everyone would be able to see if it wins or fails. And also she would be doing it that. So remember, Nung, the artist that ran away was some rando, right?
She's a street urchin. No one knew who she was. This is Nung the ML who's going to like do this gallery. So there's more stakes too, because like Nung, the ML was always taught to be perfect and failure is not an option. So there's also that aspect of her like childhood trauma that's probably in her brain when she's thinking this through. She's like, I have to be 100% sure it's gonna be successful like you said, because ML Nung doesn't fail, right?
So this can't fail, you know what I mean? I think that also is like part of her thought process like you said but from her like childhood trauma too. But she's afraid to fail, and that's exactly why she should tell Little Nung what's going on. Because Little Nung is there to hype her up. Oh, does she? Does she? Yes, and little Nung is like you are stupid rich, why are you worried about money? I love that line.
And then Big Nung responds that it's boring to spend money lavishly, which Little Nung thinks is really cool. I mean this exchange was pure big nung energy cause like the way she says it she's like spending money laugh like Sam isn't. That. Boring, like my sister, that's boring. And little Nung, the way she's impressed by that answer, she's like, that's hot, babe. Like I can't believe you just said that. What a power sentence that was.
There's no hiding this thing, so Little Nung asks if there's anything else she wants to do. And Big Nung, Big Nung tells her that she wants to sell paintings and do art workshops. And first of all, I love that Big Nung's just like so sure of what she wants to do. Like we were, we just had where I don't know if I wanna do it or not, but she knows what she wants to do. Like she wants this whole place where she can just do everything she loves.
And little Nung is like, see, you have more figured out than you thought and continues to compliment her. That was that's me. See, I told you you're so a big Nung. Yeah, it's really, really cute. Like when after Big Nung basically lays out the big gallery plans, Little Nung looks so proud of her. Is the other thing too, 'cause like you said, look Big Nung has
been she. We get into it in this particular section of like next part 4 of this episode, but she's just very in her head about making decisions because of like trauma basically. And that's been her whole journey with little Nung. It's this constant back and forth of should I shouldn't I should I shouldn't I? So like you said to for little long to hear big Nung so confidently say, this is what I want to do. I'm making active plans to do that.
Like little Nung is like, wow, you really figured it all out. Because I wonder if they've had conversations before where she's a drawing at the art stall back when they first met. And Lil Wong's like, you're so talented. What are you doing here? And like, I wonder if she got hints of like, Big Nam basically being a little lost at the time. And now, like, she seems less lost in her life. So yeah, that's AI. Feel like that's a big deal,
period. This whole thing is, I, I love it. I just love that she's finally getting to do something that's gonna make her happy and it's for herself. Right, exactly. Yeah. Yeah, it's really great. And and then Lil Nung starts singing Big Nang Praise. It's like showering her with compliments and Big Nung calls her out. She's like, oh, I'm over the moon now. It's so fucking cute. Like I just, I love this, like, strange.
It's adorable. This scene is a perfect explanation of why they both need each other because this and I'm so glad we spoiler cause of course you didn't see the last episode that we got to see the future. No, like the future because getting to see them like just be themselves and they're always there for it's just so cute. I they are. They're so cute and so good for
each other. I know like literally this scene is an example of what a healthy relationship looks like and like why this this couple is not toxic? Like they're not. No, they're really not. So Little Nun being herself, suggests that she should also open a cafe in the corner because it would bring in teenagers and, like, I'm not. Sure. Exactly, If that's the clientele Big Nung is looking for, but I mean it would bring in business, so that would help it be
successful. Yeah. And I wonder, like, where is the gallery located? Like, is it located somewhere where there's a lot of foot traffic, where, like, teenagers would walk by it because that's free. Because what little Mung says is like, oh, it's a trendy thing to, like, take pictures in front of beautiful things. So like, if you can get teenagers in to take pictures and tag it, that's free advertising, is what she's saying, proving that little Nung is a better businesswoman than Sam.
She's confirming that. Little Dung is the best business owner like this. She is later this putt and we'll get into it. Then. But here's one thing I wanted from the maybe we could speculate one day. Something I would love to know is like what does Little Nung end up doing career wise? Like when they do the time jump spoiler at the end, Like what was Little Nung's career? I would love to know 'cause I'm sure whatever she did she was hella successful.
I just would love to know more about what she ended up doing. That can definitely be part of the secret episode. OK, if you have ideas, leave it in the comments. We we could include it in our secret episode about playing. SO let us know what was little Nung doing? What was big Nung doing? Just tell us what happened in the future. Put it in the comments in this episode randomly. So when people find this, they're like, what the hell are these people talking anyway?
OK, so big Nung tells her that it's a good idea and she wants to hear all of her ideas again. Being so cute and I just love again. I love everything about the scene. Little Nung is proving to be a good partner by encouraging and helping Big Nung through obstacles, while Big Nung is so ready to listen to Little Nung's ideas and relinquish control to her in a way. Like it's just, it's so healthy. It is so cute.
I know they're being partners in the same like that's literally what this is. We need to see this because I I know I at least need healthy examples because all I see is toxicity. I know. Yeah, exactly. Like, again, This is why I love them so much. They have a very healthy relationship actually, when you look at it. And another reason why I love them is because them little
known is being another known. And she says that the gallery looks good of what Big Nung is designing, but it would be better if she put her face in it. The way this conversation devolves. The girl who doesn't want to be in the public eye what face in the. Gallery OK, I think this is a OK, so the way this conversation devolves into ridiculous flirting is I love it. It's this is 99% Long's fault, but it's hilarious. OK. I think the motivation here A to T is big Nung because that's
what happens and it works and it's funny. 2 is that it's not so much that little Nung is in the public eye. It's more so that she's like, when I'm not with you, you be like your girlfriend's always watching. Like don't bring Juan Viva in here and shit. I think that's gets a possessive move is what she's hinting at. So you think later that episode she should have been like, oh man, I really should have been on that wall and just staring daggers that. Wall, right staring.
Daggers at wall. Yeah, exactly. I think it's more so like, I'm always watching you, Nunk, I'm always with you. But anyway, it was really cute to be like, put my face there. That's what's missing. Oh my gosh. OK, so then little nun goes to eat the snack on the table and stops and he's like, wait, I need to feed you first. And Big Nung looks highly uncomfortable because there are servants all around the palace and this is basically porn in her eyes.
It's porn. They're the they're the only two around. OK, yes. Can we go back to the servant Wouldn't do this. Let's go back to the beginning of this conversation. Remember, guess who Big Nung's like? We're the only two people here. What? Servants? Big Nung, you literally just said no one else was there. Like, are you worried about imaginary neighbors? Like what It? What was this? Well, I mean again, like, I don't think she would expect the servant to cover her eyes from
behind. And sneak attack her, but also like Big Nung is saying, nobody's around. That's what that line is. So like why is she freaking out right now? Why? Because food is affection, feeding her is the most intimate thing a person can possibly do. And I think perhaps this is the first time anyone has ever tried to directly feed her right, 'cause people will do things where they'll like put stuff on her plate 'cause she's usually the head of the table socially
usually. And I, I don't think Big nut knows how to handle this 'cause remember, like Lil and I did this shit at the, the street market where like Big Nung like freaked out, but let her do it even though there's people around, but nobody knew who they were. So Big Nung again is in this environment where she's ML Nung now letting somebody do this. So I think that's psyching her out. And she's like, oh God, Oh my God, Oh my God. Because this is a special
intimate thing. And Lil Nung was like, I literally brought this to feed it to you. Like she says it. She's like, this is for you. And Big Nung is like, Oh my God, I guess so Then she covers it with her hand. It's like Nung Vermont is. E. Vermont Eat the thing. Just eat the thing. Yeah, she takes the bite just to a piece. But yes, I love, I love the modesty. Like, let's cover it. Right. It's not happening like it's just nug. Just eat the eat the Madeline.
What are you doing? All right, so Big Nung drops Little Nung off home, this time in a car. They did not walk. Yes. Yeah. So Little Nung asked to stay at the palace one more night, because of course she does, but Big Nung reminds her that tomorrow is Saturday and she wouldn't have an excuse to sleep over 'cause her normal excuses would not work. But Little Nung of course always has a lie ready and said that she could say club activities.
I mean, we've already established that Big Nung really hates a lie. So Big Nung tells her not to lie to her grandmother because it will become a bad habit. But like, where has she been? You have like, that's all we've seen Liu and Lung do is lie to the grandmother. Correct. From the very beginning, so not very different. I think the I think the difference is the motivation for the lying.
So like little Nung was lying to protect herself in the past, and now she's explicitly lying to her grandmother to be like, can I stay with Big Nung on a weekend, not a school night? Because the excuse is always it's next to my university. The palace is right there, but she's like, it's Saturday. What do you mean? So like Big nun doesn't love the lying, but like, the motivation is like, I want to spend time with you. So like when the lie inevitably unravels, it makes Nung the bad guy.
And she's like, now it makes us really shady versus like being like, no, like literally her school is there. It was like more plausible, but now it's like on a Saturday. What, you're afraid you're gonna be late for your club activity? Like, that's weird. You know what I mean? It's more the motivation of the lying. What she should have done to say that she has a project where she needs to interview a artist or something. 01 night at. School, yeah, one night, this is cool.
And be like I have to follow this person around for 24 hours. Wow, on a Saturday? Apparently that's. Worse, they do it on a school day 'cause she has to go to school. Anyway, I think that's why Big Nun's upset. It's 'cause like she's lying for them, their relationship, and she knows this relationship's gonna come out eventually, so that's what she's thinking about. That's fair, but Biddle? Biddle. Big Biddle tells her to go inside and tell the grandmother that she says hi.
Little Nun reluctantly agrees and then is. Her cheeky. Self and sneaks a kiss on Big Nun's cheek. Big Nung pulls little Nung back and tells her not to do it again because her grandmother might see them. This girl does not care. Like this girl wants to get caught. At this point, I agree. Yeah, yeah, I agree. I well, also, I think that and I think that little Nung also is just like in the bubble, she's like, I have a girlfriend. I want to kiss my girlfriend. I want to stay with her all the
time. And Big Nung's like, Oh my God, we have to be real about our situation, girl, 'cause the next thing she asks is like, 'cause Big Little Nung gets starts to get upset, like she's being rejected. And that's not really what Big Nung is doing. Because Big Nung asks what would you do if your grandmother just saw us right now? Like what would you do? Like, were you even thinking about that? Because I'm caught like see how like rigid and terrified big Nun looks? She's worried about the
grandmother seeing them. And the the bottom line is that we get into this in maybe in a couple episodes. But like Big Nung is the one person on earth who understands little Nung's relationship with her grandmother because it's the same exact relationship she had with the grand man. And Big Nung has seen how saw first hand how the grand man reacted to Sam bringing Mon home.
So like she doesn't want little nun going through that shit prematurely, especially when like little nun doesn't have the autonomy to like go back to her house like Sam did. Like little Nung is trapped. So I think what big Nung is doing is she's she is playing the long game with this relationship because in her brain I already I think she knows this is my person. I don't like anybody else on the planet. This is it. So I think right now she's kind of like playing it day by day.
And I think what her thought process is, if she can win over this family and make like, let them accept little because part of her motivation is always like, can they just accept her for who she is regardless of me? Like, can they just accept her and maybe like accept me as an individual?
Like, because that's what she's constantly trying to like win over their approval a little bit to like be like, we're good people, you know, And then like ease them into the relationship because like, if the grandmother was to find out now, like, I mean, everything would definitely implode. So like big Nung is constantly feeling guilty about being like in this situation with her family. And like little Nung, trying to kiss her in public is not
helping because she's. Funny, that's exactly what she needs right now, right? And then just, yeah, anyway, so poor Big Numg's a ball of anxiety in the scene. And like, can you blame her? She's like, what if your grandmother sees like, seriously? And little one has no answer for that Because I really don't think, I don't think she's really thought about that, to be honest. She's just no thoughts in her head are big Numg. I don't think she's thinking
about anything else. It's easy to be like, oh I don't care what she thinks because she hasn't seen any of that first hand and the minute that she is in the situation she might regret it and that's what Big Nung is so conscious of. Or, like, it'll be harder for their relationship to, like, be a thing. Also, I think that's the other thing Nung is worried about. She's like, we have to be very careful with how we navigate this if we want this
relationship to survive. All of these people, you know? Yeah. There's too many people, man. Yeah, and little long, to be fair. Is this like the honeymoon phase of the relationship? So like literally her thoughts are just big known. She's not thinking about anything else, which is understandable. Like when you're in your first love and you're like just started officially dating somebody. Like it's it's understandable. But she's like, we're in front of your grandmother's front door
right now. Like come on, like come on, we're not at the palace. Like you got to like focus, focus little Nung. Little Nung does say fine, she'll finish kissing her in the car then next time, but like, the problem is that you're never done. Little numb. I mean, like, how how could you be done kissing big Dong? Like how that that doesn't make sense. Seriously. Yeah. No, yeah, I know. Because like, what do you mean by done? Because like, would you like you're done? She's done. She's done.
Yeah. I feel like it's definitely like a big Nog's done. It's over. Yeah. Little dog's never done. But like poor big Nung. Because as little Nung goes inside, you could see this like pained look on her face that they she's just thinking about how they can't just be together and that she can't give everything little Nung wants to her. Like she wants to give little Nung everything. Because that that's her.
Girl, but it's just there's other people involved and until it's not an issue, she's not going to be able to give little Nung everything she wants. It's just like what Big Nung said in the library scene in the other part of this episode where she said she doesn't feel good. She does not feel good about hiding their relationship. Like she doesn't. You can see her struggling with it when Lil Nung walks away. But I think she's the one who's like trying to be quote like the
adult in the secret affair. And it's proving impossible to just like easily navigate all of this stuff, especially with Little Nung trying to out them every 5 minutes. And the, the, the crux of it is this is things are simplest when big Nung has little Nung all to herself in the palace where no one else can see them, which is great. But really that's a form of like hiding, Like that's a closeted
relationship. Like if you could only exist in the sanctuary of like your own home, like in privacy. So and like, I don't think either of them, neither of them really want that type of relationship forever. Like, yeah, it's necessary at this stage, but like, Lulung clearly doesn't want that. She's trying to no. Little Nug never wanted that. No, literally like since day one she's like, you're my girlfriend in the middle of the like strip mall. I remember they were like in her
art style. Like I didn't do that big nug. Right. She never was that the first episode of the second episode? I don't remember. The two, one of the two. So yeah, little Nung never was, never wanted that. And big Nung, you know, I don't think at this stage wants that either. She's just like this relationship is is has consequences to it. And we have to be careful about
this. So like, yeah, it's just, it sucks that they're being forced to be in the closet right now, even though like, neither of them really want that at the end of the day. Yeah. But back at the palace, we crossfade into big nuns sleeping in bed. Naturally. And she has a nightmare about Song, presumably because she wakes up, sits straight up and says Kung Song. Yes, that's it. That's the scene. That's the entire scene. But So what happened?
I figured that this would be a good time for us to fanfic. Like what was the dream? Yeah, What was the dream? I think that peeing in the palace is like triggering her trauma when it comes to the song. And I think she's been feeling guilty about songs since she's been every time she steps in the palace. Because remember in like season 1 when she was doing the failed heist and like she goes by song's room and you see her get
real nervous and like the shaky. I think that she gets triggered when she's in the house because of all the song guilt that she hasn't resolved. So I think that when she goes to sleep, like, I wonder if she's reliving her past with Song or 'cause we're in the Bua Palace. Is it the lesbian ghosts? Is Song haunting the Bua Palace? Yeah, so like. Song definitely is one of the lesbian ghosts. Absolutely. So I'm.
Thinking that song came to Big Nun in a dream and it's like you'll regret not taking your relationship public. Do what I couldn't do and all this, but then she's like, no, I can't lose her. Like I lost you and all this and that's why she wakes up freaking out. Yeah, I think that's good. I think Song is haunting her dreams. Something's haunting her. OK, so then Big Nung picks Little Nung up at school and she is leaning against her car. Very gayly, of course.
Oh my God, so gayly hydrate for. I wish someone. Would wait for me like that. Like God damn. It's just stare. If you're listening, I'm sorry, but if you're watching, let's just stare at Big Nung for a second. Big Nung, OK? She kind of looks like she should be hungover though, kind of with those sunglasses on. I know. She could fit into the photo of the US women's national team after winning the gold medal in Paris. Did you see that photo where everybody is hungover from?
Oh. I mean, yeah, and they all have glasses on. Sunglasses. That makes sense. Yeah. Big nose was DJ. And party painting like each one of like what they look like. Big Nose was the DJ at the party, Caitlyn. Yes, yes, Oh my gosh, she does. She does private events. That was a call out to our Big Gay Energy After Dark episode on Patreon. Anyway, Folk is walking out with Little Nung and points out to her that Big Nung is here to pick her up.
Which, you know, Folk has just like, accepted the fact that they're he is their biggest fan whether he wants to be or not. OK, but interestingly, he doesn't say like Nung is here. He calls her Auntie Nung, which I think is interesting. So it implies that like he feels close to big Nung also. So I again, I'm sticking with my first impression is that he really bonded with big Nung over the Waffle House incident.
So like, he's like Auntie Nung is here 'cause like otherwise he, they're kind of, they don't talk. They would be strangers. He would call her like Kun Nung or something like, but he's calling her Auntie Nung, which is really interesting in this scene. Yeah, he definitely, he definitely ships them. They both accepted the fact that they both really care about little Nung. Now it's in separate ways but
they work what's best for her. So they know that they have to work together because this girl is like sabotaging everything. Correct. So I'm like, we gotta keep this girl safe. But Little Doug immediately leaves folk to go over to Big Nut. She runs, she doesn't just go. She like superints, like she's on the track team. Yeah. Girl. But thirsty bitch understands and like she's accepted everything at this point and he's just he's a great friend to little nun like he is.
Folk is such a good guy. Who would have thought that the stalker would turn into a good person? OK, You want to know what's funny about that? Because I've been editing our episodes and you went on a whole rant about folk that was really great and for this very reason. You know what he reminds me of? He reminds me of Nop and Gap. Remember the way Nop was like, started off as this really annoying, unrequited love interest for Mon and then later
becomes her ride or die? Like, that's what happened with Folk. Like, You know what I mean? And little Nung. Yeah, yeah. I love that. I really like that dynamic where it's like, no, we're just like, we're gonna be friends and then the other person deals with it and then they become really good friends, like at the end of the day. You know, instead of being in denial, they're like, OK, I still wanna be in your life though.
Yeah. And, and what I do like is that, I mean, at least in Gap, they had the like, they had a very, very good conversation with the two of them about that, which is a really healthy thing to show. You know, versus like some people don't take rejection well or they're in denial about it. But like, I mean, I guess not kind of. But anyway, like I do like that. Like these characters deal with it, move on and then actually become really good, like
lifelong friends. Yeah. Yeah. So fulcrumize me if not. OK, so the first thing that Big Nung does is tell Little Nung to be careful because she might trip. And Little Nung calls her out for talking to her as if she was five years old. And I just really need Little Nung to say this to everyone else in her life because I just need stop people to stop treating her like she's five years old. But also, it's very interesting
to you. I have a feeling you have something to say about this, so go. OK, yeah. Oh, like, OK, true. People who just start treating her like she told. However, let us go back to like, what was the episode 2-3? I can't recall the beginning of the beginning of the show where they're at the gallery. When Remember when they're at the gallery. Nung's selling the painting, the actual like, to a real gallery. That was the whole you can't escape me. I you know, you're waiting for
me to be born, that whole scene. Oh my God, you're waiting for me to be bored, OK? But let us recall before that weird conversation where Little No wanders in the gallery and she's looking at one of the paintings and then just like, trips over herself and falls over. So, like, Big Nog has a reference to be concerned about her. She's like, you're tripping. You don't. You're kind of uncoordinated a bit. I'm worried you're going to, like, face plant and we have to go to the hospital.
Like, she's has legitimate concerns about her hurting herself. It's not because she thinks she's five years old. She's seen this film before when she was just standing on a flat surface, so she has a favorite reference to be worried. But they didn't. Big nuts defense. That makes sense. It just seemed like a little cold hat like hurt for her to say it like right as she was coming, not like, hi, how are you or like. Did you see big nuts face?
It's immediate panic. She's like, don't you're gonna hurt yourself. Like she was worried about her. Like like that's what it was. It wasn't being like wow, how dare you. Only children run. She's worried she's gonna trip a fall 'cause she seen her do it. Yeah, that's fair. And then continuing with the scene, Little Nung asks if Big Nung is aware of all the people looking at her when she picks her up. And I'm like, it's because of all the big day energy radiating
off of Big Nung right now. Is because she's so hot. Like like the sun. Here. We we have to take a second just to stare at her leaning against. This literally she's so hot the sun can't compete with her. Like little Nug, people got eyes and they made very clear many shots of just people walking by staring at Big Nun because how could you not like look at her, look at her. Big Nung asks if she has to know this. I love that. Why do I know?
People, why do I have like, why don't they know that they're looking at me? Little Nung tells her that she is possessive over her. Like we haven't known that already. Right. Like we haven't noticed. And then, once again, Big Nung reminds her that she doesn't have to be because she is only looking at her. You're the one that I won. I don't know why I wrote that. I know brain things and musicals that caught me off guard. Oh my God, Caitlin.
All right, let's continue so. Let's get into this because wow. So I love what this implies. This applies that like again, we get shots of like all these people staring at Big NUMG as they're walking by. Big Nong confirms she didn't even notice any of that was happening because like little Nong's the one that points it out to her. And the big Nong's like, why are you telling me this? I don't why do I, why do I have to be aware that other people are looking at me? I don't give a fuck.
You're the only person I was looking at. Because like literally the only thing she does is she's literally sitting there waiting for big little Nong to show up. The minute Little Nong emerges and starts running, her entire focus was little Nong. That's why she was like, hey, you're going to hurt yourself. Don't run. Like she didn't see anybody. She didn't she she even noticed folk was there. Like she wasn't like how did folk do on the test? Her immediate her immediate
fixation was little nun. That's it. She didn't notice anybody else. And then tells her that very bluntly, like this is a Sam move where she's like, I'm just going to be real direct in public about how I feel about you and Lil Nung cannot handle it. OK, and but what I love before we get into that is when Lil Wong's like, I'm possessive, blah, blah, blah. Big Nun looks real amused by this jealousy she's seeing. She's like, oh, is that what
this is? I, I think Big Nung like is kind of understanding why Little Nung was always like trying to get her to be jealous because she's like, OK, this is kind of fun watching you be jealous over me because like you have nothing to be jealous about. But like it's kind of entertaining and flattering. So I like the the body language in the scene once big Nung picks up on what's going on.
So little Nung at this point is still kind of like on the curb, like she's a little bit taller than she would normally be. Like their height is more like equal. So what big Nung does is like kind of equalizes the playing field, right? And she like leans forward so that they're almost like eye level at that point.
So it demonstrates like to me in the scene that like little nugs kind of in control of the conversation a little bit or they're trying to get like on equal footing with this whole jealousy thing. So cuz like little again, cuz like, remember the preceding conversations that little Nung just accused her of treating her like a child 3 seconds ago.
So big Nung again wasn't but So what she's doing this conversation is she's like with her body language is putting them on equal footing to be like we're equals in this conversation, right? And so I do love that cuz then like they're having a secret, like next secret moment, but having a very serious conversation to be like, you have literally nothing to be worried about. Like I'm I'm in your space or on equal footing.
I'm only looking at you like there's literally nothing to be threatened about here at your school. So I do love that she does that with her body language to like put little Nug at ease, which is important I think. Yeah, I was trying to figure out the first sentence. Big Nug, just a big noon to worry, right? Yeah, you. I'm only looking at you. And that's when Little Nung starts blushing furiously. She's like, it's hot, it's hot. The funny face is red, so.
Hearing that, hearing Big Nung say that she's only looking at her makes Little Nung super shy to hear and just like oh she's she's melting because how could you not if Big Nung tells you this? Literally like how yo Yoko again? How do you not die during these scenes? Wow, praise for Yoko for still being alive right now. Right. I think it's probably partly because she did not get praise while growing up, so she isn't used to hearing people value her
and love her. Like she she's always the one giving love out. But this now she's getting it reciprocated and it's just it's all new to her. She doesn't know how to react to someone saying, no, you're all I want, right? That's basically what she just said. And she has also been spending most of the time going after Big Nung and hyping her up again. This is the first time that not, I mean, big Nung is like slowly getting into it, but like big Nung's like, no, I want you.
I'm all in. And yeah, that's that's all little Nung ones. Also, she is saying this in public. In her school, yeah. Because literally Big Nun does not see anybody else in the scene. She literally just sees a little. Like when she says that, she literally means it. I don't know if she notices anything else that's going on around her in the scene. And it shows because here she is saying this intimate stuff like
it's nothing. Which again, like you said, Voodoo Nung has fought for so many episodes to get Big Nung to this point. So this is just huge. Like it's so validating. OK, so she doesn't notice anybody around, but what happens if like Chet or the grandmother were just to show up at the school? Would she notice that they're there if she's not noticing anybody around? No, I I don't think in this moment when she's talking to Long Long, she would notice anything unless they said hey Dong.
And then she's like, oh fuck. And then suddenly she's like the queen where she goes. Then she put the mask. On she goes. The walls would go up immediate. Walls immediately this would be ruined and little long would be extreme. And it would take months for her to be comfortable at the school again. Yeah, exactly. She'd be like, I'm not getting out of the car ever again. Yeah. She's got a tint in her windows. Oh my, I'm sorry she doesn't tint the window, but yeah, yeah, she would have.
Curtains installed like and it just like goes in full lockdown mode. OK, also let's get into the other thing that makes little Non quote uncomfortable, because big Non is being straightforward.
That's the other thing. She's not doing the evasive thing where like little non will ask her a question and be like, I don't know, we'll say something, try to get her to emit something intimate and a little and big none like evades the here she is straight up being like, Nope, this is what it is. I'm only looking. At you. She wasn't prompted. No, she volunteers this very intimate and affectionate information. Like we said, she's being openly, openly affectionate, which is new.
And Leong's like Oh my God, Oh my God, insert like the gift from the office. Oh my God, it's happening. She's being, it's happening. It's happening. That's literally what's going on in Lil Lung's brain in the best way possible. And let's, let's also so little Nung. What happens is she gets, she blushes furiously, like so furiously that she's like, it's
the weather. That's why I'm all red and hot right now 'cause she's like, wow, like that my girl, not a girlfriend who's a girlfriend is saying all this shit to me. Holy fuck. And like you said, she doesn't know how to react to it. So she's just getting like flustered and big nuns watching it happen. And I think under she understands that she's causing little Nung to get all flustered. So big nuns react. She's loving this.
She's like, OK, this is great. I understand why you're always doing this stuff to me because watching you react to what I'm saying is really, really great. Like big nuns. So proud of herself in this moment for being a good girlfriend. Like it's even though she's not a girlfriend in her mind, it's so cute. Like everybody wins in this scene. It's so cute. And I also have to point out that once they kind of get past this and what big Nong's like you're being shy, you're super shy.
This is great. I'm such a good girlfriend. Then she continues to be the best girlfriend ever and does her gentlewoman behavior where she opens the door and closes it for Little Nong when she gets in the cart. I have to point this out because it becomes important in a later episode. Look, Big Nong always does that, always opens the door for Little Nong, closes the door for Little Nong when she picks her up. There's only one exception and
it's important into a form. We will get there when we get there eventually in like 20 hours. Done getting through all these serious things. My gosh, I feel like we need to just release our dose one day. I need, I want everybody in the comments to guess how many pages you think are notes for the entire series will total because we keep them in one talk event. So I want you to guess because I don't even think we could guess how much they're going to end up
being. Yeah, I truly couldn't even guess. I mean, I could, but I'm curious to see what you guys guess. Yeah. If you're even close. OK, but back at home at the home palace, the nuns are sitting slash laying as close as possible on a couch like they're they're as close as possible like without little nun being like directly on top of big nun. They're doing their reading position, which I love. I love that they do this reading position.
It's so adorable. They did it in the other scene where like Little Nun was reading the smut novel that was hard to read. It's cute. How am I supposed to know what this means? I don't know what, I can't imagine it Big 9 anyway, so there's that. I love that they always just naturally do that. Second, the thing that I love is that they look really they're just existing with each other. Like they're not in the beginning, they're not talking.
They're just existing together in the same space and they look really comfortable and like at peace and just natural together, which I love. And kind of while this is just happening and being real quiet, Big Nun keeps like stealing glances at Little Nung. It's very cute. Like this is just them existing and it's adorable. And lastly, what I love about this scene is that you get a generational gap thing going on with the two of them that's very subtle. So like in the scene, what are
they doing? Little Nung is scrolling on her phone like the Gen. Z Asia that she is. And then what's Big Nung doing? Elder millennial. Big Nung is reading a magazine like a physical, you know what I mean? It's like the technology of what they're doing is different. It's very them and I love. That it also does show the age. Yep cuz they are becoming closer and more reciprocated right now. That it's easy to get lost in the relationship and think that why are they hiding.
No, this is a way to show the viewer that no, there is still this gap going on. Yeah, but it does show that like Despite that look they could, they their, their relationship works. Yeah, no, their relationship so works. It so works because like, even if they were the same age, what would this be? They're both scrolling on their phones, so like it doesn't matter. Like it just exactly like it in their relationship. Really. It doesn't matter honestly. Like it's everybody else thinks
it's a big deal to them. They don't even notice it. Like they don't even notice it most of the time. And it's mostly because, like, they have the same mentality with the way they grew up because they're so similar. They're so similar. They both had to grow up in a way, but they were both stunted. Like they're both in the same place, right? Exactly. And that's what's most important.
Yeah. And I think that's why that outside scene with them talking about the gallery was such an important scene because like the emotional maturity of Little Nung really does put them on more equal footing a lot of the time. You know, when they do have actual conversations, that that conversation was not about their relationship. That was their conversation just about like life stuff. And you can see that they can have those conversations together like.
I think that might be one of my favorite scenes in the show. I agree, that's one of my favorite And then my absolute favorite is the song scene we're gonna get into later 'cause I think that is such an important scene period for the show and the. Universe they Nung They Nung sees little Nung on her phone and she reminds her that she that little Nung said that she needed to read a book. But like, oh. My God, read little Nung. Read her. Read her.
That's what she's she's like, aren't you to read me a story? Like that's what she's asking. OK I did, I messed that up. Anyway, Little Nung says she's checked the engagement on her podcast 1st. And honestly, I find this so relatable because this is what I do to procrastinate at least 10 times a day. So comment, share, like and subscribe for more super gay content. Give us the engagement. Give me a comment that I have to respond to instead of doing my actual work.
I know thank you for distracting us from our actual jobs. There's. Comments on Spotify now too. It's so much to distract us with. And it's great. But I do I still literally wish we got to see Little Numb record the podcast. Yeah, that would have been. Cool like that would have. Been really cool to see. All right, so the book Blank is sitting on the table, and Big Nong asks if she's going to
cover it on the podcast. Little Nong says that she isn't, and she is reading that book for her because she only has old books, which means she thinks that Twilight is old. Yeah, that is excessive. In a way it is, but at the same time it's it's definitely not. Damn, how old is Twilight? It would be like well cuz the movies came out in like 2. Thousand I was like OK she was 20 no cuz like OK so like what
inspired twilight? It has to be around 20 years old, but less than 20 years old I would say, because like 2001 is when 911 happened and then like. What does 9/11 have to do with Twilight? You've never heard the conspiracy theory? No. Like Gerard Butler. OK. Oh my God. I'll see if I can remember this correctly. It's all over the Internet. Just Gerard Butler 911 Twilight.
Google it. So Gerard Butler's lead singer of My Chemical Romance. He was in New York for an interview for some other job at the time. Witness 911 changed his life. He formed the band My Chemical Romance after that, which is like this emo very important
band did I vaguely heard this. OK, Then something happened where like Stephanie Meyers wrote some fanfiction version of something online that eventually became Twilight and it was like inspired by like My Chemical. It always like like 911 started the domino effect of how we got like all these artists inspired and eventually we ended up in Twilight. It's one of these things, it's out there. Just go find the conspiracy theory. So that's what I mean. I'm like 2001.
It has to be like after that point because of that domino effect that happened. So I would say it's close to 20 years maybe. The That was a lot Theora. It is a lot. Go Google it. It's a thing. OK, but I think Little Nung is. I think Little Nung is more so referring to that novel that Big Nung actually picked out, like the prided Prejudice book that we still don't know. What it is? Also, like this is reinforcing the age gap. A lot of this in their conversation now is reinforcing
age gap stuff because. Yeah. Yeah, because we still have to remember that there is an age gap. Correct. OK then Little Nung. Little Nung's like it's a sapphic book, and Big Nung's like what does that mean? So of course Little Nung has to give Big Nung a big gay lesson and teach her what sapphic means. Right, cuz that's another one of those, that's another reinforcing the age gap thing. This like new terminology and
stuff. Yeah, and it's really cute because the way she acts, the way she explains it, she uses it as a way to flirt because it's little nun. Right, so she's like, well it means she can use anything she knows the most random thing to flirt. But I mean, she was literally going to use the book to flirt with big. That's why she picked she's like, I picked a book, our story, and I'm going to read it to you because it's super gay and the women fall love.
And then she's like, are you going to like it? And then the way she like teases her is really cute. And then we get the sham sham thing, which means yes, I like it. And I like you, yes. And then one thing I want to point out that's like persistent throughout the show, but I just in this screenshot that I got here with the sham sham thing, it became really noticeable and it was a good time to bring it up.
So one thing I love about the show is that they let Phi keep her tattoos on display as Big Nung, which I thought was really interesting because big Nung is like royalty. So I don't know if there there's rules with royalties and tattooing themselves and stuff like that. I'm not entirely sure, but like I would imagine that kind of character, they would cover up the tattoo she has on her arm, but they don't they let her keep it, which I love.
First of all, autonomy for the actor, but also like it makes sense for big Nung, the rebellious 1 to get a tattoo. Like if that's something that is taboo, her as a character would make sense that she when she left the palace, would get a tattoo. I I can see her, the character doing that. So I do love that they did that. What, they just let her keep her tattoo? On display and it's like such a like. It's modest like I, it's, it's a good, I love it.
Like it's really great. So I love that they let her keep it 'cause usually they would cover up the tattoos like for the actor. So, but it makes sense for the character and they never explained it. They just, it's on display, like never explained. But like you can use your imagination like I did to be like Nung probably was like fuck you grandma. I'm like, got a tattoo. She did when leaving the palace.
Right. She like took the 20 bucks or whatever she had and just blew it on a tattoo and was like fuck, where am I gonna live? That was so something Nung would do. Like I can see. I actually I can stand on doing a call in the afternoon. Can you loan me some money to like? Right, Sam, can you fund my tattoo? And Sam's like, OK, Anyway, could you wait? OK, before. Wait. Sam was the baby before Song passed away. Do you think Nong would call Song for money?
And so I was like, Nong, figure your shit out. So then she'd figure out the hard way. I gotta call Sam. Sam's the one who's gonna do it anyway. He's like Sam, go steal money. From songs and he's like breaking into songs Piggy Bank. It's for dog. God damn it stupid sisters. OK, all right so now I I have to get into this. So OK, one thing I do love first of all product placement with the book. Good job everyone that was excellent. Also little long if you read
that book. It probably would have helped you avoid a lot of problems in the show. If you're like, damn, we probably shouldn't do this, or maybe we should do this anyway. So if you read Blank the novel, maybe it would have helped that. That is like the weirdest thing for her to be reading because of like. Then why is the future like? They're both named Nung. What is happening anyway? Like, I don't wanna, I wanna see a fan fiction where they are reading this book and they're
like, shit, this is our story. But then it like goes to the future and they're like, and then things start happening that are in the book. Correct. It'd be very interesting. How trippy. All right, yeah, that would be fine. If that fan fiction exists, let us know. OK, Side note, I want to point out, so the cover of Blank the book, it shows up a couple times, shows up on the coffee table. It's little known as screensaver on her computer, all that kind of stuff.
One thing that I do love is that the actors re enacted the book cover, which is so cool. So if you like, look at the book cover, even if there's an iPod. So I guess that outdates this this book. And then they did it and it's I love it. It's so cute. They got the position right. They even got the little cactus on the desk. Like it's so cute. Did they do this for the show? Yeah, this is for the show. Yeah, this is like a Pearl. I didn't know like, OK, I was a poster. Got it.
Yeah, you can see the poster. OK, so then I found this and that let me down a rabbit hole of images that we now need to talk about. OK, so let's let's get into this. So OK. I'm gonna slowly look at these images when you tell me to. OK, so look at the next one. So in the next one, they are reading blank together. So in this AU version of the show, instead of them reading the Pride and Prejudice novel, they're reading Blank together on the couch.
Like that's blank the book. So that again, there's your story, Caitlin. Apparently in one version they did read it together. Like, were they not? I think that's the same name as. I think that's what Nung's doing. She's like, well, Nung, why is this sound so familiar? What if little Nung wrote it? Little Nung wrote and it. Says she's clairvoyant predicting the future. Then we're in like reverse for you territory. I don't know about that. Maybe that's how they're connected, huh?
It's all connected the arm. It's all connected. It's all connected all right. Then I got some shot of Big Nung doing something in her old apartment and it's a crime against lesbian Jesus. We didn't get this outfit where she's in this tan button up with the black jeans cuz like so. This isn't in the show. What is this photo then? OK, I'm gonna I have theories. All right, all right.
I have to sit here. Because remember in they reshot a bunch of stuff I think becomes apparent with this super hot big Nung outfit. And then this other poster for season 2. This is the original poster for season 2 where they're in these pyjamas that are very plain looking, 'cause I think they went back and reshot all of this. So I think this is one of the original, like scenes where they were in the bedroom having these conversations with each other. Yeah.
OK, then let's go back to I found screenshot stills from cats. Yes, OK, let's talk about this. So there's screenshots of them doing the scene in episode 1 where they're doing the drawing lesson by the lake. I remember how like, we got Little Nung sitting on her towel or whatever doing the landscape and the Big Nung fell asleep at the chair. There's stills of Big Nung actually teaching Little Nung how to draw, where she's sitting behind her, her arm around Little Nun showing her how to
draw. Was this supposed to be the drawing lesson? We never. Why didn't we get this drawing lesson? Like what the hell? I feel like they're too close for like the beginning episode. Like they look like they're together right now. Yes, which would make all of. Little nugs. Which would make all of little nugs behavior of being like I'm gonna marry you someday make more sense. And this is how the drawing lesson went. That that's fair. I'm just saying we were robbed of this.
We were robbed of this. We are, but at least we have a photo. We have it in our memories and in our AUS now. Yes. OK. So that was the rabbit hole. I hope you enjoy it. If there's other stuff you found out there, leave it in the comments. Actually, one thing we got recently, at the time you were recording this, this got dropped very recently. I think the CEO or Nine Star gave us the audition tape from Yoko the Yoko's audition. It's really OK so if I was
already cast. Yeah, so if I was cast first, then they had to find their little nong. And it's on our Twitter. If you haven't seen it, like Yoko's audition, it was a very short audition. And Yoko was like, I didn't think she got it, but it was short because she got it. And they're like, no, that's her. That's they're like, that is that's that's her. And if you watch it like immediately they have chemistry with each other, which is great.
But like the way they did 2 takes is what they showed us of some conversation they're having in the beginning of the show where like big non is very like stoic and standoffish. Yoko described her as a tiger the first time she met her because she's intense. The way she she's very intense, very quiet. And that's literally big like that's the big nun character. But then like Yoko wears her down. You you see it in the scene. You're like, Yep, that's that's their dynamic.
And like the CEO was saying stuff about how like Yoko did stuff that wasn't scripted where she would like, like lunge at big at big Nung and like grab her and like cut her off with her energy. And that's that's the character and that's how she got the role. And it's really cute. You can see there are two takes and it's very cute. I highly suggest going to find. That, that's adorable.
And that just goes to show for all the people who were saying that she wasn't casted correctly, like no, she was. She nailed it like she was, she is. She does all that like you see them and stuff. She literally embodies that character. But I. Saw so I didn't listen with the sound on but I saw in the beginning like she was hanging on thighs. So was that their first time meeting? Yeah, that was their. She was. Hanging. On her, Yeah, immediately. She's hanging all over.
Her because they weren't they weren't acting at that point I. Don't no, they were just they were getting ready. They were warming up and she's like, I think she was trying to figure out how to do the scene because she's like, I'm too short, like and this kind of like, what do I do? Like, yeah, literally hanging on her immediately like that, that she is little not like she's she has that mischievous behavior that makes the character for like it's perfect.
Yeah, she just went in there and little numbed it up. I just think it's so funny that like, she's like, I didn't think I got it, 'cause they sent me home so fast. And like, it's because like Juan and Phi were like, that's little, that's her, that no more casting. That was her. She. That was it. When you know, you know. When you know, you know. Like that's the dynamic. Like why waste time like? Right. Why waste time? See, if I was there, I'd be
like, well, I kind of like this. I just want to see more. Oh my. God, they're they're ridiculous. But yeah, no, like so funny the way she just a lot. That's why like her body like appreciation for Yoko's acting because like she does all of these body language choices as little Nung that really make the character effective. Like a lot of her like physical acting where like again, she's like lunging and the crazy energy. And like we did talk about that in season 1.
So it's so funny that like that's the thing that got her the role 'cause it's like that is little nut like that is this character just bubbly, mischievous, clingy like that is that's just. The character, it's just hilarious that that is what she's like. Right, those are all her choices. That's what made her stand out. Like so funny. That's so cute. I know, it's adorable. OK, Anyway. Back to the show.
Back to the show. After the quick lesson of little known teaching big nun what Sapphic meant, Little Nung sees that she already has 10,000 views on her first episode. What is your secret, little Nung? Literally how? How did you do this? Tell us all your secrets, please. Going back, she might have said a clip, so I'm wondering if it was a clip, I think that was her on social media and maybe that
was what to like. It randomly went viral, like right randomly and blank one went on our TikTok and we're like OK. Yeah, like literally we had a loyal pin one go viral too. We're like, OK, it was loyal. Pin. It was loyal pin. Also there's a the Faiz acting. Client. Got traction anyway, like good for you immediately. Ma'am, what's your secret? But also can we can we go back to the her teaching big? What's sapphic man? I'm surprised she's like, do you want me to demonstrate?
I'm so surprised it didn't turn to a demonstration, honestly. Like you want a, you want a vocab lesson? Let me show right? I can show you the plot of the book. We're living it right now. I can show you the plot. I really do think in musicals you do OK, but the celebration is cut. Wait, wait, wait the. Celebration part Yeah, yeah. OK. So Little Nun gets the viral video tells Big Nun, who's probably like, I imagine Big Nun doesn't know what that means. And it's just like, you're doing
great. Like, she doesn't know. She's being supportive. She's like, I'm sure that's a good thing. 10,000 Is that a good thing? I don't know. She's like, you're doing great. And then Little Nun immediately turns this into flirting. And I think she was about to do a sapphic demonstration because she's like, I'm so great. They aren't I and gets real close to big none. And then what happens, Caitlin? What happens? Oh my God. The worst thing possible happens.
The celebrations cut short by who would have thought, just. Showing up at big None's. Place randomly because he wants to go in the party. He doesn't know what's going on, but like. Because he's an idiot. But yes. Also, can we talk before we get into why he's here? I want to talk about a couple things because let's talk about first of all, how oblivious this man is because what he walks in and then he's like, oh, little nun, daughter of mine, you're here too.
Wonderful does not pick up on the fact that and he goes and sits in the empty chair. Meanwhile, Big nun Little Long sitting on the love seat. He doesn't think that's weird. He also doesn't think it's weird that Big Nung and Little Nung are sitting on the same side of the tiny love seat. Like they're practically sitting on top of each other. Even in this scene where they've split apart, Like why are they sitting so close together? He does not pick up on that or
find that strange. He's just like, whatever. The women I want to talk to are here. Here's what I came to talk to you about. 'Cause he cares about himself first. Right. He doesn't see anything else when like big nun was like, I only see you Little nun Chet only sees himself. So like that's where they're at. Second thing I want to point out when he comes into the room, OK, the only person that greets him is little Nung.
Big nun does not greet him. Little Nung does like the I, there's a term for it, but she doesn't think where she like puts her hands together and does like the the bough. Big Nung does not do that. She just sits there and she's like, like, she doesn't. Even greet him like why is he here? Doesn't I greet this man? Only little Nug greets that bigness. Just like I was going to learn what sapphic meant. You bitch, what are you doing? I was about to get a demonstration. Damn it.
Yeah, but Chet is happy that Little Nung is there because he wants to invite them to his parents house so they can meet Little Nung. And apparently he can't call his daughter, no. Technology doesn't exist. I know him and Pingva are the worst when it comes to calling their daughter. Yeah, so just remember. But he literally came here to talk to Big Nong. Like his whole ordeal was to ask Big Nong to come to family dinner. Big Nong come to family dinner out of nowhere and she's like, what?
And like Little Nung happened to be here. So like, to me it's like, OK, Chet, Little Nung, your daughter is still an afterthought. That's what I got from this conversation. Yeah, that's true. Cuz he's like, yeah, you're here. Also. Great. He was there for Big Nung. Like so that's where his headspace is. Yeah, Little Nung doesn't get any autonomy. It's just or a thought. And he gets she's not a thought in his brain. That's why he didn't call her. He's like, oh, you're here too.
Cool. Let's combine opportunities. I hate him. I really hate him. He's not great. I mean, we do now have a worse character than Chet. Not in this show. No, not in this show, but yeah, there is a worse character, a worse family character. Yes, that's yeah. We'll get into that one day, but like we will, we will who? Who knew that was possible? Yeah, who knew that was possible? Man, we better not get anyone worse than that one too cuz like Oh my.
God. Anyway, spoiler alert, we were talking about reverse for you will not spoil what we're talking about. But yeah, just wait, wait, just wait. That show's just getting started. Just you just wait. Caitlin, There might be. Some worries, yeah. What? I know there might be. You'll see. Who knows? You gotta keep. Watching that, we gotta watch our show anyway. Anyway, if you're not watching, reverse for you, please. Go go watch this for you. It's it's so easily accessible on Netflix.
Man, I know which is huge. I mean, I guess you have to have a Netflix account. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah. I wish it was on. YouTube. But yeah, that's so good. That is a barrier. It is my favorite girl love story. Not not just the romance part like the story itself is incredible. I'm just it only gets it only has 8 episodes. I'm just worried they won't be able to get into everything. That they Oh, and it's short.
Like these episodes are short? I know they're not an hour so I'm a little worried about that because like the actual novel is so well thought out. Yeah, I don't. Think it blew my mind like it blew my mind. I cried multiple times reading this book because I'm so moved by it like this, just this. The story is so beautifully layered and it's like the sci-fi stuff is really good and the overall message is insane. It is. Yeah. The story is so good.
Unless they. Do end up doing multiple seasons I. Hope so, that would be amazing. Cuz this is a really short show. It's really short. I'm very worried about that. Like I know we're gonna cover episodes too, but like, they have an hour. Exactly right, exactly to tell the full story. Yeah, I know. We're getting off track now. But I know we're sorry anyway, so just quick plug for that show cuz honestly it's so if you're watching it, let us know in the
comments anyway. Come and join the discord. Come. To the help me help me anyway. But the audience is overlap, so it's kind. Of relevant, you know. Also, we're avoiding talking about chat scenes, so sorry not. Sorry, we don't really want to do this right? Now I don't really talk about chat. Anyway, here we are. Big Nun is like, oh, I can't, I have to meet with Sam. How convenient. But Little Nung says she doesn't know anyone there and doesn't think she's ready for it yet.
Which I mean is fair. She if it was up to her, she would never meet these people correctly. No, always. Just. Strangers. Emily. Like she doesn't even want to know Chet. No, like literally he is a stranger to her and now he's he's like, meet my parents who are even more of a stranger to you. Yeah, but Chet does back down from. This conversation because of big non, it's only because of big non. Anyway, let's let's talk about this a little bit.
So if you notice, while chat is kind of like talking to big non and little non, mostly the long big non is very warily watching chat, almost like she's afraid he's going to figure out they're dating and like pounce on them because like think of all the suspicious shit that's going over his head because he's a head, because heterosexuality is a hell of a drug. So he doesn't see what's in front of him.
So first of all, there's a sapphic book sitting on the coffee table and she's like, fuck, he's going to find that. And like, why are you 2 reading this anyway? There's that. And then like also the like I commented, they're sitting very close together on the love seat of the couch. So like the visual is there for him to put this together. So I think that and remember, he
came here for her. So I think that because Big Nung is so distracted by making it seem like she's not fucking his daughter, like she's very concerned about that. And they're like, oh, I'm the suitor you don't know about. I think she misses the fact that Chet is trying to court her in the scene. Like that's what he's doing. And I think it just goes over her head because she's so worried about, well, her situation ship with little Nung.
So it is important for the audience to know he is trying to actively court her in the scene. It's just nobody's taking the bait. I just, I don't, I don't like it when he's in the scenes. I mean, me neither, I hate. Him, but we have to continue. Unfortunately, like you mentioned, the book is still on the table, so Chet notices the book Little Nung is reading and opens it up to a random page. And I can only assume that it's the same 1 Little Nung would
randomly open up to to read. And I tried to kiss those. I was like, what is this the spot? Slowly went down on. Her there's, I mean, there is there is some spot in that book. He's probably traumatized when I read some of these passages honestly. Oh yeah, you've read this, right? So I have read this. It's pretty. Intense. As fuck and I tied her to the bedpost. Yeah. Anyway, he is not pleased. And as if it is a lesbian book because apparently he can't actually read.
And big nuns comes to little nun's defense and says that his daughter is a grown up and can decide what she wants to read. And then basically throws him out and tells him he should make an appointment with her next time so he doesn't waste his time but also waste your time but have the servants not let him in. And just like you have an appointment here, wait here for an hour and they'll be like, oh, I'm sorry, Nung is busy right now, Please come back at a later
date. Yep. Anyway, OK, let's couple things on the scene. When? So again, this is Big Nung actively defending Little Nung's autonomy as an adult, OK? Which she does so many times with Little Nung's family members. Because I think truly at the end of the day, even if they weren't romantically involved with each other, Big Nung does care about her well-being and the fact that her family treats her like trash sometimes. And she's like please respect your daughter's choices.
Like just respect who she is, accept her for who she is. If the family can't accept Nung Big Nung, she's like at least accept her daughter for who she is. So that's what she's trying to do in this and scene and she's tired of Chet's bullshit truly. Also she's pretty aggressive with him which I personally love because Chet's annoying. What I do love is that the way Lulu Nung is looking at Big Nung
when she's defending her. Like, it's amazing because this is the this Big Nung, we, we the audience have seen Big Nung defend Linnong's queerness to chat. We've seen her do this multiple times. This is the first time Lil Nung is watching her do this. OK. Because we, yeah, we had the conversation, you know, that everybody forgot what Sam was in. Or we had UE and chat interrogating UE and Big Nung shows up and she's like, you
guys want to date? I don't care, you know, do whatever, just be good kids or whatever. But Little Nung missed the part where Chet and Big Nung do the sidebar and Nung's like, except your daughter is queer. Like, I'm not going to tell her not to be queer. That's fucked up. You no like accept her for who she is, that she's doing it right now because Big Nung is tired of having this conversation with Chet.
But like, Little Nung probably doesn't know Big Nong is having these conversations with Chet. So I love that Little Nong gets to witness somebody stand up for her to her homophobic fucking family members. Like, I think this is a really big deal for little Nung, and she looks really proud that her girlfriend is a supportive badass. Like what a huge thing to see, you know?
I mean, just look at Big Nung's body language right now because like, she's comfortable because she's in her territory, correct? This asshole is coming in unannounced to her home. Yep. And it's just like I'm going to destroy him. Yeah, you're like you're coming into our our house to talk trash about my girlfriend. I don't think so, bitch. Make an appointment next, like the way she puts him in this place and like says accept her for who she is like the little wrong is just like that's my
girlfriend. She's just so proud. It's. I'm surprised she was like, that's my girlfriend, that's my girlfriend. Just like, I know she's your friend. Like that's why you're here, right? He's such a dumbass. Girlfriend Chet. My gal and the. Lungs just like, let me kiss her. That'll show him anyway. I mean, yes, that is what she wants to do.
A big nun would never. So Chet is going to leave, but he tries one more time, because of course he does, to see if Little Nung would meet his parents. And Little Nung doesn't say anything, she just looks away and he actually takes the hint for once in his life. He gets rejected. So OK the whole chat thing I do. While she got the defending from her girlfriend, I do feel bad for Little Nung in the scene because what was Big Nung's excuse? She's like I can't go with you.
I have plans with Sam today and those plans included introducing Sam and Mon to Little Nung. That was the plan, right? That's they were both going to do that. OK, so Big Nun got to use the excuse, but like little Nun can't use the excuse to be like, I also have plans to meet Sam because he'd be like why the fuck are you going to meet her sister? So like it sucks though, because little Nung legitimately has a scheduling conflict that would get her out of this thing with Chet.
But like she can't tell the truth in this. You know, little Nung who's always making excuses like has a legitimate reason she can't do this and then like can't say what the truth is because that would can make them all look all suspicious and stuff. So instead she just doesn't lie because big Nung's like stop lying to people. So she just like awkward, very awkwardly has to like deflect,
slash, reject him. I feel bad for a little while like this was awkward for her and she's just like, I'm going to look away and say nothing 'cause I'm. All these situations are awful for a little known. They they're really shitty but like usually she lies but here she's just like please leave. I'm going to pretend you're not here until you leave. So awkward. Also like how much can she tell him no and have him still ask the same thing over and over? I know.
OK, then we get to a better scene because, you know, Chet's not in it. Yes. It's the same. Leaves. But the noms hang out with Sam Amon and. Oh wait, no, you skipped it. OK, so then Chet leaves. Oh, I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. How could I That's that's that was homophobic of me. It was so big. Nuns sighs in relief when he leaves because they almost got caught. Yes, yes. And I do love at the end they do this like another synchronized smile where they're like, dodge
that bullet for now. It's such like, you see them looking at each other and it's just like such an understanding that like, yeah, they have to deal with this shit, but like they're together and that's really all that matters. Yeah, but at the end of this, like, Big Nog does look worried about Chet. Yeah, I mean, there's always, it's always going to be little. For right now, little Nog smiling, being like, yes, my girlfriend, like she's there with me. I put big Nog's.
That worry is always going to be in the back of her head. But little Aung does not have this worry because she doesn't have any experience for this. Also, like she like big nuns, like oh, her father is gonna catch that. I'm dating her. Little Nung does not think of him as her father. That's the other thing. Like she does not think of him as a family member. That's why I think little Nung is just not concerned.
He's a cockroach. Right she's not concerned about him at all cuz she in her brain her biggest concern is like he's still trying to court my girlfriend. Like she does not think of him as a family member to be worried about so. She like thinks of him as competition that you know is not reciprocated. Correct. Yeah, Yeah, he's an annoyance, like a cockroach, like you said. Yeah. OK. Let's get to the better scene. So now the nuns hang out with salmon. Yay. Emotional.
Smart lesbians, yes. Which I'm really hoping the nuns brought a lot of limes. I don't know, I think Little Nun was like, I think we can compete with them. They're they're the sweet ones in this scene. Yes, that is true. And it's important to note like the first thing we see is that big Nung feeds little Nung, which means she was OK with porn in front of mom and Sam because you know, she had to witness them doing it enough time. So she's like, alright, let me throw it back in their face.
Sam and mom are worse when it comes to their PDA. OK, so like like, Speaking of which, I agree with all that, but let's talk about everybody's body language in the establishing shot when like big Nung is feeding a little nung. Let's talk about this. OK, so basically the way this is set up, they're by the water and no one's sad, which is weird 'cause these sisters sulk by water and not have happy moments
by water. So this was already weird and suspicious, but we'll go with it 'cause it's beautiful. OK, so basically Sam and Mon have this like a big couch and then they have like a single seat and there's a little table. So in the the single seat is little known because she's like the guest of honor here, right? Coming to the the family gathering. So everybody else is on the couch. Big none. Mon and Sam. OK, Mon and Sam on brand in their home are on top of each other cuddling on the couch,
right? Because that's just what they do on couches. And we've seen this before, but they're on like the very far end of the couch, opposite of the seat Little Nung is sitting in, OK. And then there's like a healthy distance on the couch between Mon Sam and Big Nung. Because Big Nung, if you look at the way she's sitting, she's sitting as close as possible to Little Nung as she could possibly be. So she's practically on top of Little Nung, but they're sitting
on different seats, right? So I, I do love this 'cause I, I also think Lumung chose the seat, not just 'cause she's the guest of honor, because I think she's still traumatized by the, she'll sleep on the sofa line from Big Nung and she's like, I don't really want to sit on the sofa right now. Bad memories. So it's like here you can have the, the, the guest of honor. Yeah. So I do love that that I'm honestly, I'm I'm surprised Big Mon and Sam didn't bust out Limes because of the Nung's
behavior in this scene. Cause like sweet lesbian Jesus. Like big Nung is like basically sugar in this scene. The way she's like doting on little, like they're in their own little world feeding each other or whatever. And Big and Ma and Sam are like, usually it's us, like, like, damn. Like they don't know what to do in this right now, like. OK, OK.
Should we have brought Lime Sam? Yeah, so Sam tells Little Nung that she never thought they would actually meet because Big Nung wasn't letting her meet her. And she also says that she doesn't know why Big Nung is so possessive of her. And I think this is exactly what Little Nung needs to hear at this point because like, they do that in behind closed doors, but it's never, no one else has seen
Big Nung be possessive of her. So to other people, it seems like Big Nung is available to people. And this means that they are finally on the same level with their feelings. And it has been confirmed by this third party. So it's not just words from Big Nung, it's like someone else communicating that oh, they they're both on the same level. Yeah, I agree and the way and I think Lulung definitely knows that what you're saying and that's why she's just like basking in this information in
this scene like as she should. This is more validation for her, which is important 'cause she's insecure about this stuff because of like, again, their situation and big nugs quietness sometimes. OK, My favorite thing though, in this whole scene is OK, 'cause it's Sam, right? I feel like Sam has been dying to tease Nung about a relationship because that's things that siblings do right?
And I feel like Sam has never had the opportunity to tease probably either of her sisters because like Song was having a secret relationship with Ice going by Gap because that's our cannon. Like actually no Sam did meet Ice and was like you guys are cute. I don't know that she ever teased Song but like she's probably like I'm dying to tease Nung because Nung gave her and mom a bunch of shit during Gap the series.
So like Sam was waiting for her turn to be like I can't wait to tease Nung when she gets in a relationship. So here she is doing everything she can to tease her older sister, which is great. So she's being real blunt. And I love when she's like, I don't know why my sister's so possessive of you. And the way Ma looks at her, like, for fuck sake, Sam, why are you so like the way Ma looks at her? She's like, God damn it, Sam, I
can't bring you anywhere. You keep saying inappropriate things, like obviously your sister's sentimental about this. I love the way. That she always looks at Sam Sam like this series because you can tell that Maud has all the power and she's like Sam what the fuck. But also like Mon, you've been dating Sam for how long? Sam is just like this. Like you should expect this from Sam and be like, and just be like, I apologize for my wife's behavior. Like she just does this.
Welcome to my life. She's embarrassing. Like Sam cannot act like a normal human being. I just, I love it. I love it. Like Mon's just like God damn it, Sam. This is why we get that last scene in 206. It's the most them thing of all time. They're so ridiculous. I love them. They're so ridiculous. We can't wait to answer that scene. I just anyway Big Nung chastises her and Sam was like Oh my bad I didn't mean to like what did I
do I was just saying the truth. Big Nung clarifies to Little Nung that Sam meant she was worried about her, but Little Nung's face screams that she knew exactly what Sam meant. Yeah, 'cause little Nung is the big Nung whisperer and she's like I know you're full of shit my I know my girlfriend is full of shit every. Time. Oh my gosh. Oh this whole scene is great getting to see. You. I love this fucking scene it's so good. Sam pushes them more because of course she does.
Well, she pushes Big Nung more and asks what's going on between them. So what's going on? It's pretty obvious as Big Nung is trying to say that there's nothing going on between them. Little Nung cuts her off. Little Nung tells them that they are together, but Big Nung won't let her tell anyone. Turns to her and is like what the hell are you doing? And Little Nung is all innocent and says that Big Nung told her that she never keeps secrets
from her sister. No, like she's like I know I could tell this person without Big Nom getting too angry so someone needs to know right now. Also Lil Nung is doing two things like you said, she's pushing the relationship forward to get big nom to admit their girlfriends. That's her whole objective from going forward for a while. So in this environment, it's kind of perfect because she's
right. She's like, you don't lie to Sam. So she's saying that out loud, not only to like trap big Noggin to be like, damn it, you're right. I don't lie to Sam because she doesn't like lying. She omits information, right? And here she's like, no, no, I'm not, you know, I'm just, you know, I'm just worried. I'm just worried, which is the form of being jealous. So she's like, I'm not lying. I'm just, you know, using a different word.
And she's like, no, no, no, like you don't lie to Sam, right? You told me that. And so I don't also want to lie to Sam. And this is her first time meeting Sam as the girlfriend. So she's like getting points with Sam to be like, I won't lie to you either, Sam. I'm going to be a good sister-in-law to you. That's also what she's doing. She's scoring points with Sam. So she's it's always the smartest person in the room.
I feel like I know little Nung and Mon are the ones with the same things, but I feel like little Nung will team up with Sam a lot. Yes. Oh, what happens abso fruck it? Lutely, yeah. Like little Nung and Mon will vent to each other, but a lot of trouble together, yes. Can you imagine little Nung and Sam planning a birthday party for Nung? Oh my God, that thing would be freaking huge. Right. No one would hate that, but like they would do off the charts thing before dog, I feel like
they would do the thing. Oh man, did you ever see Parks and Rec? A little bit. OK, I don't know that you have, but there's an episode where it's Ron Swanson's birthday and he's basically like Big None where he's a recluse and doesn't like being in the spotlight. Kind of like 1 and Leslie, who's like off the, she's the main character. She's like off the charts. And like is one of those like type a people who like plans everything. And anyway, so she's hinting
that it's his birthday. She found out somehow it's his birthday, which he hid from her. And then she's like, oh, I got to throw you a birthday party. And he gets nervous. She's like, what the fuck is she going to do? Because she goes over the top always to make people happy with the ultimate people pleaser. And all the other people in the office are like, yeah, she did this wild, crazy thing when it was my birthday. So he gets real nervous.
And then by the end of the the episode, it's just like a perfect hermit type of birthday just for him kind of thing. I feel like they would do that with none. They'd be like, me and Sam are gonna plan it and then plan all these hens to make her nervous and then like literally just give her like a very cool like. That's really cute. Oh yeah, I watched that episode of Park Server because that's so sweet. It's so sweet, though. A person like knows that like they like to go all out.
They're still thinking of the. Person. Yeah, it's all out in a way that fits the purse. And that's why like when he was hearing the birthdays, it's things that fit the other people's personalities. And so I feel like I feel like Sam and and Little Nong, if they teamed up, would absolutely do that to Nong where they would like do this beautiful, quiet kind of. They'd probably do like a big gay game night with the four.
Right, they would do something cute like that, but they would hype it up and big nun would get nervous and and then feel. Like we're renting out like just like make fake phone calls. Like, all right, so we rented out that mall, hospital, airport lounge, right? Yeah, right. Literally right. No, they would do shit like that. And then it would be like this quiet night at home with her favorite foods, like something
Nung would love. Or Yeah. And like, to get her back to that house, little Nung, they'd be out. And they're like, all right, we have to get you the birthday party. But little nuns, like, you're gonna wear that, right? Yeah, yeah, more. And then we get to get her home. Yeah, that's cute. That would be really cute. I think the two of them would have all kinds of mystery. Like Sam would buy her a dress specifically for the like, the like a ball gallon type. Yeah.
And I was like, what the fuck is this? It's. Like where are we going? Like, they're gonna mail out invitations and they just have like huge stack of like blank envelopes that they're gonna like pretend to mail. It would be cute. Anyway, anyway, Big Nung shuts up Little Nung by shoving food into her face. Oh my God, she cannot talk. And now it's time for Sam and Mon to get Limes ready and like, just look at their faces. First of all, Sam is very happy
to see all of this. Sam is here for the teasing, but can we talk about how Mon the whole scene? Mon's face is so fucking funny because she's like scandalized by what she's seeing and Sam just has the shoot eating grin. Like finally I got to watch my sister's, my perfect sister squirm. But Mon's like, I can't believe I'm in the middle of all this family drama because like she's
like, what am I watching? Like it's so funny the the the dichotomy between Mon and Sam's reactions to the Nung behaviors is so fucking funny. Mon's just like, jaw on the floor the whole time. Hold on, Sam. Just like, yeah. Just the beginning. Mon is just beginning. So funny. So we end this part with Big Nung using her thumb to wipe food off Little Nung's mouth. It's not ice cream, but it's close enough. Right.
I mean, she did the feeding of the food this time, so the crumbs are her fault, so she has to clean them. And I, I do love this though, because big Nung basically her body language is like, I'm mad at you for outing us to my sister, but also, I love you. And I can't let you sit here with crumbs on your face. So I'm just gonna I'm just gonna prove your point that we're dating basically right now.
OK. Other thing I want to point out from the scene with the nuns in particular is that they are wearing complimentary colors in this scene, whether that's conscious or unconscious. So if you go back to like Sam and Mon, they're wearing their typical kind of attire. Some, you know, mom's got her pink, Sam's got some variation of Gray going on. But the nuns are wearing complimentary colors. So like Big Nung is wearing a black shirt with white pants and then Little Nung is wearing a
white shirt with jeans. So that's like they're complimentary colors in the scene. And like Big Nung isn't fully like in dark clothing like she normally wears, like they're complimentary, complementing each other's, adding to the fact that they are on the same page and they are together, like visually, you can see that with their clothing. They're just so cute. They are so. Fucking cute and congratulations along. You outed yourselves to somebody
and it was successful. Good job, good job, and you didn't get in trouble. No 'cause like emotional. Sam would not let her get in trouble. No, Sam was Sam was like, this is like my birthday gift. All right, let's do it. All right, so let's get into part 4. So after the family reunion, Mon and Sam we cut over at night time where Mon and Sam are getting ready for bed, brushing each other's hair, doing their whole beauty routine, stuff that they do.
Sam still at night time has that shit eating grin on her face and I'm confident she's had that the entire night and Mon has been ignoring her. Yeah, Sam has a habit of like, fixated on things, so. I think she's just like, I win, I win, I win. And Mom's like, Oh my God, what do you want for dinner though, Sam? Like, like, what are you doing anyway? Sam then transitions their conversation into the nuns of it all, and she triumphantly says that Little Nung is a perfect
match for her sister. Probably because Little Nung doesn't take any of her older sister's bullshit. Like, none. Like you got that full on display. Mon though, is the skeptical one of their relationship and she brings up a valid .1 that Big Nung is struggling with, which is Lil Nung is just starting her life. Like she's a university student now. She's just there's so much more to experience in life in university outside of university. Is Big Nung holding her back?
I think that's what Mon is getting at. And to me, I think Sam understands how complicated this relationship between the nuns is and realizes that, like, in the end, that kind of relationship, if it's the right one, is worth all the bullshit that comes with it. Like, literally just go watch Gap the series. Like, that's what their journey was, right? And I think that Sam sees her sister, found her person and is like, it'll be worth it, right? I just realized something.
OK. Sam met little Nung. Like, not as Nung's girlfriend. That's true, but like I I fully forgot. I know we just talked about that conversation, but. Like they met, they didn't. Know each other. They they didn't meet though. Like they I mean, I guess they kind of saw each other at the funeral when Sam was a bawling mess and then Sam dropped off Nung. The one time Sam didn't see little Nung, she just her at the. Table with Chet Big Nung UE and her.
Oh, yeah. But they, but they didn't talk, they didn't interact, did they? I think that she don't know. I think that's what she means. They're they're meeting as like I formally, I'm introducing you to her. It's more of a formal thing, yeah. Yeah. So she's like, I'm dying to like talk to you with my sister present. Yeah. It's it's that kind of thing, like formally meeting her. They've in passing seen each other, but not formally met each other. OK, Anyway, so back to this scene.
So again, Sam was like, I don't see the problem on can't you see that little Nung loves my sister? Like it's the most obvious thing on earth. And Sam was like, listen, like, I'm confident that little Nung is not going to be the problem if there's a problem in this relationship. And then she probably throws big Nung onto the bus by saying the person who's most likely to bolt from this relationship is my sister. Like I've known her her entire life. Like, please exhibit A her own wedding.
Like if anybody's gonna run, it's my sister, not little Nung. Mon, though, is like, we got to talk about the age gap of it all because like, again, this is a valid thing. That's they have an even bigger gap than we do Sam, which should have been the name of the show, which is mentioned many times. And like I said, Mon, like Mon said, she's concerned basically like little Monk's going to get held back by the relationship,
which. Is valid, but it's interesting that Mon is the one bringing up the age gap and that she doesn't know if she it'll last. And I was thinking like, is this a sign that her and Sam are having some troubles? Like I know we all want to pretend like they're this perfect couple, but we really don't know what's going on with them right now. And like Mon is always like, what the hell are you doing in some situation?
And I know that Mon adores Sam, but I feel like she has wondered because she has been working half her life to get to Sam. She hasn't experienced anything else. And I don't know if anyone watching this will have watch Girls Five ever, but Theora got me to watch it. So it's kind of like Gloria in that show because her relationship ends up ending because she has only been with this one woman. She needs to figure out what she exactly wants because there's so much out there.
But when you're just not trapped but like, confined into, like, this one person, one type, it's natural to be like, well, is this all there is? Like, what could have been? Yeah, like what if? And that's literally what big Nong is constantly thinking about. Ludo Nong is not thinking that cuz she's young and that's a Monstein. She's like, she's young, she's infatuated. If even if they are actually in love, like sure, that's legitimate. But like that's now, what about later?
That's what Big Nong is always worried about in their relationship. Like always. She's like, I'm worried I'm holding her back like Ma is saying, which is legitimate. What Sam hears is exactly what you're saying is the subtext of like, oh God, is this about is mom talking about us? Because mom started dating Sam immediately after graduating university, immediately she got. Her she went to the university for like she has been ever since Sam smiled at her. She has old with her.
Yeah, Mom's been in love with Sam since she was eight years old. But what Sam is putting together in her brain is that Mon started dating me immediately after graduating because that's what Mon's saying she's like after graduation. The whole world's out there. Mon's whole world became Sam immediately. So Sam is secretly is concerned that Mon has the secret regrets about jumping into a relationship with her and thus missing out on the vastness of the world by being tied to their
marriage. Right, basically so Sam asks Mon, she's like, well, have you ever considered like falling out of love with me to see the world basically like, do you have regrets? Is what she's kind of asking Mon and Mon doesn't say anything because that's not what that's not what I was talking about. Mon doesn't say anything and said she does that whiny tone when she says Sam names that Quin Sam that like indicates Sam's being ridiculous, right, because Sam is always ridiculous.
Why does Sam not? But but since that whiny tone does not answer this very serious question that Sam is now asking her, Sam asks again. She's like, before we answer me right now, like, have you ever considered like breaking up with me? Basically, like there's so many people out there in your life that you could be with? Like, have you ever thought like Sam is feeling super insecure right now and worried? And she's like, I need to hear the truth from you. Like, is this are you actually
talking about us right now? And Mon, who's been in love with Sam since she was eight years old, immediately smiles and reassures Sam. Like, I don't regret our relationship. I regret nothing. Like she, like Mon went through literal hell to be with Sam. And like is like, no, like, I don't regret anything. I'm this is not about us. Like, I'm just bringing up valid points for somebody who's they just met.
OK. We met when I was eight years old, and I've had a thing for you since for decades. It's not the same situation. I think that's what Ma is kind of trying to say. I don't. Know I still feel like it crossed her mind at some point. I mean, of course, probably. I don't know. I think Ma was always so fixated on Sam that I don't know that it really did. Sam was always her dream person. Like she has her dream person. I think sometimes she's like,
why am I with you, Sam? You're ridiculous human. But do I love you anyway? Sam's a gamer, so like maybe after like the fifth hour of her playing a game, she's like, why did I do this? Why am I with you anyway? Yeah, they're they're a mess anyway. So after mom reassures her, Sam is like, great, I'm glad you said that. OK. And I'm gonna throw that right back at you and say that's how because you just said that. That's how I know my sister's relationship is gonna work out. Right.
Lum Lung Big numg future wives and Mon's like I don't get it. Sam's like let me explain it to you. And she basically says that Lil Wong and Mon, she's like you and my sister's future wife both have the same incurable heart eyes when you're looking at your significant others, like she says like you look at the way you look at me. That's how she they're looking at each other. OK basically saying like it's true love and Mon just explained
how she has no regrets. So Sam is confident that like Lil Nung feels the same way about her sister. Sam is less confident about her sister because Big Nung is the woman who's never cared about anybody in her life right At somebody she's not related to. But Sam has pointed out on multiple occasions during the show that Big Nung is a different person now around, especially around Little Nung. She's like she suddenly cares about stuff and like it's acting
weird. And anyway, so Sam is like not listening to her own intuition about Big Nung. So in summary, the odds are in the Nung's favors as from a compatibility perspective and a their feelings are real based on like exhibit A&B which is Mom and Sam. Yeah, I mean, OK, fine are. You going to argue with me on this? You can. What are your what are your concerns, Galen? I just, no, I think, I think we'll just play into it. Everything's happy, everything's good.
Let's just continue. I am curious like why can't they be happy? No, I know, I know. But like when things are too, we don't get their point of view in the show. This show is big. Who's? Point of view. Sam and mine, I don't know. This this scene, yeah, this scene is just it's the scene is odd because it's just the two of them. I don't know, Let's just skip it. It's because it's not an ensemble. So like it's not about Sam and Mon, it's to reinforce that like the nuns are going to be OK.
That's the point of this scene. And from an outside perspective to say, hey, from our perspective, their love story looks like our love story and our love story worked out. That's the point of the scene. Cause like Mon and Sam in the show are to support the nuns basically. They're not their own characters really in the show, with the exception of the gaming scene at the end, which was literally
just them being them. So to me, this show, the characters in the show, with the exception of the scene in Mon gaming, they don't pass the beclidel test when it comes to like being their own characters. This is an example of that. They're not having their own conversation. They're talking about the the whole conversation revolves on
the nuns. So if this was an actual ensemble where they were their own independent characters, this would be a conversation where Ma and Sam were talking about their relationship, not talking about the nuns. But that's why this feels odd because it's like it's Sam and Mom but it's Sam and Mom supporting the main characters not having their own conversation really. Yeah, I know, I know. I'm reading too much into it. But who knows Sam and mine having problems again?
Like just because they're married doesn't mean their problems are solved. They're always gonna have. Problems. Yeah, No, that is probably also another reason because like the show portrays them that they're just happy. And I'm like, no one's ever that happy. Maybe they are. Anyway, let's go back to me. So let's go back to the booa pal. So while Sam and Mon are getting ready for bed, having their conversation about the nuns, the nuns are already asleep. Like they're already asleep.
Like Sam and Mon are having this whole view to your team. The nuns are passed out. And this is because Big Nung is older than everyone else and she goes to sleep much earlier than Mon and Sam. And by extension, little Nung now too goes to bed early. So I hope you enjoy this Little Nung this. Is your little Nung is an old soul? I know she is.
She's in bed by 10:00 like Nung. Something I want to note in this scene, this is one of the first times we see them in bed together again, kind of like not first in bed together, see them just doing normal things. OK so like like the couch scene we had earlier before Chet ruined it. It's just them living their lives coexisting, right? This is another them coexisting scene. OK 'cause they are fully clothed and this is just them being domestic and actually just sleeping.
So to me, they've entered the, instead of like the carnal phase of the relationship where you're constantly on top of each other, like all over each other, they're just doing the domestic stuff now. They're just existing together. This is what their relationship looks like in the long term, basically what they're just existing.
OK, so I love that and I love the way they sleep together is also super cute because it's the exact same position as the first time they fell asleep together in like the Isle of Lesbos thing where it's like big nuns laying on her back and little Nung is like holding her with her head on her shoulder on big Nung shoulder. That's literally the same sleeping position. So I think that's. Cute little Nung's just her normal cell. Clingy Cell. Clinging. Clinging even in sleep. Big nung.
But if you look at Big Nung, Big Nung is clinging back because she's like holding Little Nung's arm that's holding her. So that's different, which is cute. She loves I think. She loves the cling she does. Like you're so clingy but don't leave. Right. No, that's literally big knock. She loves. She loves it. I think she secretly super loves it. She needs it too, because the coldness of growing up like she, she's found this warmth and love.
She needs it to live now. Yeah, I think she definitely craves it because they're both, they're both touch starved. They just express it differently. They're they're symptoms of that differently. OK, so they're all peacefully sleeping. And then big Nung is abruptly woken up by another song themed nightmare. The ghost of song is haunting her. So she wakes up and is like, well, rattled by this and like can't fall back asleep. So she gets out of bed to like deal with these feelings.
But before she can do that, I love that she like, carefully extracts herself from Wolong's death grip and 'cause a little koala bear is holding her. So she's like, I gotta get out of this. And I love how Lil Nung's asleep, doesn't know she's doing any of these things.
Big Nung is so like, concerned about disturbing Little Nung's peaceful slumber that she like, makes sure Little Nung is comfortable after she, like, gets out of the hold, before she leaves, she like, positions her so she's still comfortable and like, fixes her hair and all these things. Like Lil Nung doesn't know she's doing this.
She does this 'cause she cares. And it's really cute that she's like, I have to make sure she's OK before I go deal with these haunting feelings that I'm having, like give the best girlfriend award to Big Non because she did this when she didn't have to. Like, it's just who she is. It's very sweet. Little one's a sound sleeper. Literally I think she's the one that sleeps through everything and big non wakes up as the light sleeper.
Yeah, Little Nun would sleep through like a hurricane or something, and Big Nung's the one waking up, like just checking if they have to like, evacuate at all. Yeah, like literally that's them. And then little Nug wakes up the morning. That was such a great. Right, so peaceful, Big Nung's like, no, we're gonna have 5 minutes of sleep. Yep, that's them. All right, well, Big Nung is having the emotional version of a hurricane right now.
So she gets up and then bravely enters Song's room, which is, I mean, probably for the first time since Song passed, I would imagine. Because this is the room that holds all the guilt. And I think that's why she's partially been afraid of entering the room, 'cause, you know, Song's memories is haunting the room in her mind, I think. But why tonight? Why tonight? OK, 'cause she's been in the
house. She's been in the Buu Palace for a while now, but tonight's the first night she goes in this room. Why? I think subconsciously she feels braver with Little Nung in the house, OK, Because Little Nung's with her even though she's not physically with her at this moment. So I think she feels like she can face something because she has that like support. So subconsciously I think that's why tonight, interestingly, if you look at songs room, we don't
get much of the room. We get some stuff but not much to like form a personality out of out of song. But what I did notice is that unlike big nuns room, okay, when big nun first came back to the palace after the grandma passed, she goes into her room and when she went into her room, she noticed there's all these things are draped like to keep dust off of it, like her easel, things like that.
Like the grand man was preserving the room for Nung to one day like take the drapes off and come back and live into it, right? She didn't touch anything. She just left it for Nung whenever she wanted to come back. Song's room doesn't have any of that. Like there's nothing being preserved here, but the room still exists. And to me it looks a lot like it, but there's flowers in it. So somebody like live flowers, there's somebody maintaining the room. So to me it looks a lot like the
grand man's room. Like, remember when Nong goes into the grand man's room and she's with Auntie Nim and she's like, please keep it the way she had it when she was alive. Like, clean it, you know, put the flowers in here when they die, like, keep replaced. I think that's what happened to Song's room. I think they kept Song's room preserved in time the way Song left it. And I think they've been cleaning it and maintaining it to preserve the memory. So I wonder if that's partially
why she was afraid. Because like, this is what Song's room looked like when she left the palace, right? Yeah, but like, in a way, Big Nung chose to leave. So that was like, there's no reason of preserving it, but Song and the grand man did not choose to leave. They were taken. So they're like, let's it's basically a way to pretend like that did not happen. That and I think it's a way to honor them because they've passed. They can never come back.
They never can come back to this room versus like the Grand Man was preserving the room because none could still choose to come back at some point. Like it wasn't that she could never come back the way the Grand Mammon song in their physical bodies could never come back, but like maybe their spirits can come back and stuff so. Yeah, they're lesbian ghosts. Yeah, exactly. So the fact that this room was being kept frozen in time, the way Song left it, makes the next sequence even sadder.
So in the room, Big Nung gravitates to a framed photo of her and Song that's sitting fully on display, indicating that Song put it there when she was alive. Because I think Song genuinely loved Nong and perhaps even missed Nong. Because remember, this is Song's room after Nong left the palace and like cut ties with the family. But Song kept this photo of her and her older sister. So that says a lot about Songs Headspace when it came to Big Nong when she was alive.
It's also interesting that Song has a picture of only her and Big Nung in her room. My first thought was like where's Sam? And like, yes, it's plausible that there's another photo of Song and Sam, but just like thinking if this were to be the only photo, it's interesting that Sam is not included. Yeah, and and there could also, again, we don't get the whole room. So yeah, possibly there's more 'cause like if you look at the photo, it's it's the photo shoot the whole family did.
So when like Big Nung was in the library with Little Nung and pulled up a photo and they were first talking about Song. It's the same photo shoot. OK, This is just from that same photo shoot. It's just Nung and Song, so I wonder if there's other pictures in the room with Song and Sam. They're probably more updated 'cause they had more time together outside of this photo shoot. And also, if there are no photos of Sam, I wonder if it's because Song physically had Sam next door in the house.
Like does she need a photo of Sam? Sam's right there. She could be like Sam and Sam will come running into the room, 'cause it's Sam. So there's those things versus like Song probably missed Numb because Numb cut ties with all of them, is my interpretation of why Song had this particular photo on display when she was alive. I mean, that's her big sister, that's who she looked up to. Right, like, right.
So like again, which makes it even sadder and which is why we start getting Faiza award-winning tears immediately because Song loved her despite the bullshit, right? Despite Nung abandoning them. And and that set off this chain of reactions where like the grand man then like hyper focused on Song to the detriment of Song's mental health that
probably wasn't already good. And like, that kind of led to the inevitability of Song just like not being able to handle anything and like taking herself out of the equation forever. She still loved Nung despite this thing that Nung did that Nung feels so guilty about. So I think Nung just immediately is sad because she's like, wow, like Song kept this photo of us. She didn't like hate me, you know, for like putting her in this position like this proves Song did not hate her.
So we start getting the hovering tears immediately when she picks up the photo. Like the acting, the acting. She's so good. She's so good. Oh my God, the world is sleeping on her, OK? She is so good. OK, The world, the world's sleeping on this bitch. All right, So big Nong now has the photo, has the the hovering tears, walks further into the room and then pauses to sit on that sofa that's at the foot of the bed, OK. And Nong's room has a very similar setup, which is interesting.
And she's sitting there with the photo and her guilt, OK? In this room, holding the photo, Big Nung is all alone with her thoughts, OK. And then finally processes everything she's feeling about Song that's been bubbling to the surface. But I think she's been, like, trying to keep it contained here in Song's room. She starts really working through all of these feelings that she has. And because she's alone, she can doesn't need any kind of like mask doesn't need to like guard
anything. She's just very just feeling her feelings. And so out loud, sitting here, big Nung voices her regrets about leaving the palace and she's like, if I hadn't left Song like you, you probably. And she like trails off before she says still be alive because even here, even alone, she still can't say it out loud, like the truth of it, the truth of what she feels. And she just hugs the photo and starts.
That's when she starts crying like a tear starts to shed when she like holds the photo of her in song. Yeah, because if Nung didn't leave, the attention wouldn't be on Song yet. Right, and that's what she feels guilty about. In GAP, she wouldn't have been running to ice. In Blank, she wouldn't have had all that pressure on her. I mean, it's all because of the the pressure would have been there. It's just how Song Tsong's demise was just slightly
different. But yeah, Song ultimately would still be here if if Nong potentially if Nong hadn't left the palace. And then. Yeah, exactly. That's what she always felt guilty about. That's why she was constantly trying to confront the grandmother about this. She's like, you played a role in this. I played a role in this. We need to talk about this. She never got that closure because the grandmother was like, fuck, fuck this shit. I'm out.
She left without having the conversation with Nung. So Nung is left with this what if forever. And so she's trying to process this because it's I think that's what's haunting her. She's like, you know, I'm in this house where I grew up with my sister and my sister's not here. And that's weighing on her, So she's finally starting to process this. Meanwhile, back in Big Nung's room, Little Nung senses her girlfriend's in danger, OK, And wakes up from this deep sleep
that she's having. And she's like, where is Big Nung? So she wanders the hall, careful not to alert any house staff to the fact that she was sleeping in Big Nung's room, since she's actually stealthy, unlike the sisters, right? Right. Yes. Yeah, so makes it all the way down the hallway. And remember when Big Nung gave her the tour, She's like, never go in these rooms and Lil Nung's like, I got manners. I would never.
But Lil Nung winds up in the room and I think because she saw the light on, because Nung lit the lights on and the door was probably open and she's like, oh fuck, where else would Nung be? So she I think she wanders into the room being like is Nung in here? So I think that's the only reason she entered this room because Lil Nung I believe does have manners. She did this out of love to be like, is my girlfriend in here? And there she was.
So Lil Nung spots Big Nung sobbing on the couch and moves to go sit next to her. And big Nung again having very powerful feelings didn't think this was going to happen and then was like surprised that Lil Ng found her. So she what's her response immediately? She tries to put the walls back up. She tries to like reverse what was just happening and she like wipes her tears away to be like, I'm not sad.
Like she tries to start suppressing her feelings, OK, and conceal the fact that she was upset and is trying her hardest to stop crying. Even though it's like once you tap into these emotions, it's very hard to stop that. But she's doing her best to like put herself back together. But it's impossible because these emotions she has that are tethered to song have just been bottled up for so long and big no one was finally letting herself process them.
So shoving them down is like, impossible. But she was somebody who spent a lifetime training herself not to show her true emotions. So this is a reflex that now that somebody else is here, her reflex is to conceal, don't feel and like, be the stoic person, be perfect. It's just such an old habit for her that it's it's hard for her to break. So while Big Nung is trying to do this to like revert back to old habits, Little Nung asks what's wrong? Because like, you woke up, we
were asleep. Now you're in Song's room and you're clutching a photo and crying like, And Little Nung at this point knows that Big Nung gets upset when she starts thinking about songs. So she's like, what is going on? Because like something's not right and Big Nung doesn't respond because emotions right? So little Nung starts wiping away Big Nung's tears for her. And at this action, Big Nung
looks surprised. Because I think, I don't think Big Nung will ever fully get used to this level of affection and this level of like caretakingness from Little Nung. Because she spent her life being the one in charge, being the one that takes care of other people, the one responsible. I don't think she'll ever fully be used to somebody else, like
taking responsibility for her. The two of them, even when we get to the flash forward part, are both still like, Oh my gosh, I can't believe someone's taking care of me. Right? Because they both take turns being the one who's strong and one who is letting themselves break. Absolutely. And it's like it goes back to like the trauma from their childhood and how they were up. Like Raised is with them forever. Like childhood trauma will
always be with you. Yeah. And so, yeah, that's a really great point, Caitlin. So even 20 years later, they're still dealing with this, like, trauma of like, it's OK, you know, she's taking care of me. It's still surprising even then. It's a great surprise. Find me a happy surprise, but. Good things can still be
stressful. You can still get stressed out by good things like, and this is a good stress, you know, that both of them feel sometimes when it comes to like the level of love coming from the other person because they're just not used to it and they'll never fully be used.
To it and also when the realization of like this person, like it's surprising every time that this person is showing me how much they love me, but it's like that good surprise and it's just like kind of that like sink and feel like like, oh, I have something someone who's there for me and I like in a way. It sucks that they have that trauma and or have to feel like this all the time, but it's it's such a great feeling that when you get it that they get to feel bad over and over and not take
it for granted. Damn. Oh, that was good. Yeah, it's true. It is beautiful, it's beautiful. I love their relationship so much. OK, it's the more that we talk about it like the future. I just love them. I know cuz like so many people focus on how like the future is not like it's gonna be so different with like the age gap. But because of how they grew up, the future for them is just so beautiful cuz they can finally just be themselves.
Because at a after a certain age, no one sees this age gap. Literally. Exactly. And they're like, finally, no one's bringing it up. Like I feel like once little no reaches 30, it's who cares? Yeah. Or like maybe 35, whatever. Once she's like, probably out of university, like, yeah. No, I mean also like cares. Who's? Really tracking somebody's age after that.
Correct, that's what I mean. But yeah, it's it's just really kind of cool to think about their future and I'm so, so happy that we got to see it. Yeah. It was. Necessary. I will say that those scenes in particular are not in the novel, so I'm really glad they added them to show this is what it actually looked like. Like it was fine anyway, so yeah, let's talk about let's go back to the scene that was all
very important. So then Lil Nung follows this up by saying something really important to big Nung, which is you do not have to pretend to be strong in front of me because Lil one can see that's what she's doing. She knows her well enough to know that Big Nung does this. She knows her behaviors, that kind of stuff. So let's go back to one O 5. OK, when Big Nung said the little Nung, from now on when you're with me, you don't have to act cheerful, OK, This is little Nug cashing that check.
Because in that scene, little Nung was like, do the same thing with me. And Big Nung was like, what do you mean? That's what little Nung was reminding her. She's like, remember, it's me. You do not have to pretend to feel the OP show me the opposite feeling. Like feel what you're feeling. Feel them with me. That's what she's saying and you would think she wouldn't have to say that because we had so many examples when they're good feelings, right?
Let's go back to the school at 5 minutes ago and she's like, don't run. And that that scene. Let's go back to that scene. Big Nung was being very straightforward. She said. I'm being blunt about how I feel when they're good feelings. Big Nung is getting better at just expressing them openly without any kind of hesitation. But these are sad feelings, OK? Sad feelings that make you look weak, right? And those are the feelings Nung as a child was taught to never
show other people. And where are we right now? We're in the palace. She's sleeping in her childhood room with little Nung. We're in Song, her younger sister's childhood room, quote UN quote. You know? So she's regressing is the point, OK? Because this is the where all the trauma happened. So she's kind of regressing a little bit back into quote, bad habits that trauma responses. You know, it's just the environment is affecting Nung,
right? That which is why she asks little Nung her next, her next thing out of her mouth is can I do that? Like asking like, can I do I have permission to like show you weakness because she was never allowed to do that in this house. So remember when little Nung was like, I thought the house was going to be our safe space? Was this ever a safe space or big Nung? Like was it really? I don't think it was. No, no, this, this place is what
broke her down. Yeah. She was her safe space, was the outdoors. And that's why we see her drawing outside. Like that's where she feels the safest. I feel like, with the wind around her, just like the breeze, just like that's what calms her and grounds her. Now it's little numb, but drawing I yeah, I just think the drawing outdoors cuz we, I think we see it a couple of times and that's why she was designing the gallery outside. Outside that's a really good read.
I also think nong her room was also a bit of a safe space cuz the easel was in there. Like I think that was the closest thing she had to a sanctuary. Maybe the library cuz the grandmother probably never bothered her cuz she was like you're studying excellent probably never went in there. But as a whole, this house was where the trauma all happened. Like this was never a safe space
for no like she was. This was where it all happened, you know, so. When her saying can I do that is like one of the most heartbreaking lines. Listen. Yeah, the line delivery is just amazing. Where is her award for the show? Seriously, where is it? Where is it? I don't even care if it needs to be made-up. I mean she deserves an actual like. There's a real nice. Award, but yeah, but like, give her everything. Give her everything. Yeah, this was insane. Yeah, I agree.
So I wonder. So two things I think are happening with this line 1, like we said, she's legitimately asking a little Nung a question. But also, I wonder if partially this is a rhetorical question, meaning like big Nung is asking herself if she's capable of being quote weak in front of little Nung. Because think about their whole
relationship. Their whole relationship is big Nung being the strong one, big one being the one who defends Little Nung, Big Nung being the one who's always there for little Nung. This is a moment where little Nung is saying, let me take care of you. Let you. It's OK for you to be the weak one. I can be the strong one. So I wonder if Bignon is asking herself, can I be the weak one? Like, can I? She spent so, so much time being
the strong one. And and when she ran away from the palace, part of that was her being independent quote and learning to like stand on her own with no support. So like big Nog has not been able to be the quote weak one and just breakdown in years. Like so I wonder if she's actually just asking herself this question, like, can I even do that? Am I capable of it?
Is is that what she's asking? So here's a situation that presents itself where the roles are reversing and I think Big Nung is struggling a little bit to relinquish control to Little Nung, right? Because I will say Big Nung likes being in control even with Little Nung. That's made very clear in the book.
That is something she likes. She likes that part of their dynamic so. But also little Nung was the one needing to be taken care of most of the show because of her family being involved where this is. I mean yes when the grandmam died she needed her but there was all that shit going on with their relationship at that point. So this is the first time where she is being letting her walls down and vulnerable in her own, like battling her demons and having letting little Nung in to
take care of her. Like, this is the first time we're really seeing little Nung take care of big Nung. And it's very, it's I think this is an important turning point in their relationship. This whole episode is really starting with that outdoor scene. Yeah. That's why 2O2 is a special episode. I have to say, this discussion episode is giving me even more appreciation for this relationship in general and this episode definitely is like the
major turning point. That's why my notes are so long, Caitlin. It's so good Tiara wait till next episode. I know just keeps getting worse. OK, but I agree with all of that. And what I also love is what happens next. So once again, little Nung demonstrates she has the emotional maturity in this relationship because she tells Big Nung, of course you can be vulnerable with me. We are lovers now, meaning being weak, quote weak around each
other. This is what she was talking about in 105. Showing each other the bad parts of ourselves is how is what makes an intimate relationship that's true intimacy. So she tells her she's like, we're even further along in our relationship now. Of course, you can do this in front of me, She says we have to go through thick and thin together. That's what that's what an intimate relationship is. And remember, neither of these people have ever been in an
intimate relationship before. This is their first intimate, real in all the ways emotional intimacy. This is emotional intimacy. This is the first time either of them have had this. And like little nun is the one being like, that's what being girlfriends is. That's what she's basically saying because big nun has never been a girlfriend before. She doesn't know that.
So she's learning. And then little and then little Nung says, my favorite line, which is if you have me here but still feel alone in the world, why would you keep me beside you? Then she's like basically saying like, why would you date me if you still feel alone when you're with me? You're supposed to feel supported and like, you know, like what we're what are we
doing then? Because the entire we brought this up several times, but this entire time, the entire time that they've known each other, Little Nong has viewed Big Nong as her safe space. And I think that in this scene, what she's trying to tell Big Nung is that I can be your safe space, OK? Because Little Nung knows from her own experience that Big Nung doesn't have one. Like we've we've just had that conversation. Like she doesn't. So Little Nung recognizes that.
Despite their relationship moving forward, Big Nung is still guarded. And because of this, Big Nung is still keeping a a degree of emotional distance from Little Nung. It's getting better. We're getting again the happy moments. Big Nung is getting better at being less guarded. But when it comes to like the the things that are weighing on her, the things that are like the ugly parts of her, Big Nung is still struggling with sharing that OK.
And instead of confiding in Little Nung, Big Nung, here she is alone in her deceased sisters room, bawling her eyes out. OK, instead of processing this with like, she could have woken up, woken up little Nung and it had the conversation and little Nung would have woken up and been there for her immediately. But Big Nung didn't do that. She ran away, hid like she always does by herself and processes things. We've seen her do that the entire show.
Anytime something big happens, big Nung recedes, isolates herself, then processes it. So here she is still doing that old behaviour despite the change in her life, right? So I think this conversation with Little Nung, in the conversation, Big Nung realizes like that she never that she had that I don't think she ever thought she had that option, that confiding in another human being was an option.
OK. Which is really sad and speaks to the level of her residual childhood trauma, like we said. But on a more personal level, I think Little Nung really wants Big Nung to be as comfortable around her as she is around Big Nung. OK. And it's a it's a very beautiful thing to see somebody as introverted, as big non like come to life around you. That's one of my greatest joys in life is getting introverted people to be more extroverted because it means they're
comfortable. OK. And I think that little Nung loves that she has that effect on Big Nong. She can see her like, true feelings emerge now more and more. And that's a beautiful thing. And that's intoxicating. You're like, I want you to keep doing this on all the levels. That's partially what Little Nung is trying to get Big Nong
to do in this scene. And by Little nun giving Big Nung permission to break down by saying like, let me be your shoulder to lean on. I think Big Nung, despite it sounding obvious, I think she needed to hear that because she's never, I don't think she considered that an option ever. I think she was taught to just be stoic, deal with shit on your own. Never talk like the grand man. She's like, we need to talk about something. The grand man's like, absolutely not, we'll never talk about
this. That was the environment Big Nung came from. So like, I don't think she's like, I can't confide in people. Like I don't think she knew how or knew it was an option. So it's so sad that like, Long's like, no, it's OK, I'm giving you permission to do it, you know? So after Little Nung gives her permission, Big Nung sighs and then takes Little Nung's hands, almost like she's trying to comfort Little Nung before exposing the darkest parts of herself.
But Little Nung in response, puts her hands on top of big Nuns as if she's reminding her without saying anything. I'm here for you, remember? Not the other way around, right? I whatever you have to say, I wanna hear it, OK? Big Nung summons all of her courage and unburdens the guilt that she's been carrying by telling Little Nung I'm not this perfect good person that you think I am.
Like I think she's always felt guilty about that because Little Nung puts her on this impossible goddess level pedestal because Big Nung and Big Nung's like I'm not a perfect person and that you see me as one, you know, and I'm not good either.
I've done some fucked up shit. And while we've mentioned that, like Big Nung is an experience of being truly vulnerable, and that's partially what we're getting in the scene, she I think she's also afraid of being fully honest because part of what she's guilty about is like little nun will judge her and decide that she's unworthy of loving once she sees the darkest parts of her. I think that's what she's also afraid of is losing a little nun.
Oh. Yeah, because when you have that much trauma and you're like, I have to be a certain way around other people to make it like socially acceptable. But if they really saw all the dark parts, it would be too much for someone else to handle. It would just be a burden on them. Right. And especially because part of what she's guilty about involves a little young. But the other thing too, I agree
with that. The other part is like being perfect and, you know, not showing weakness is how she got her grandmother to love her. So I think she equates those things with love in her brain because of the childhood trauma stuff. So she's like, if I show you the bad parts, you won't love me. I think that's also like in her brain because that's how she was raised. But despite this being really challenging, despite her being afraid, Big Nung does tell Little Nung about her guilt over
leaving the palace. And I think it was the first time she really, really, really went into this. I think Little Nung got bits and pieces because she's probably like one day, like, why did you leave this place? And Little and Big Nung probably gave her crumbs, but never the full story. So she basically says, like, I knew when I left that my grandmother was going to shift her laser focus on to Song and Sam. And Big Nung admits that she knew Song was not equipped to be
the heir. Like, I mean, she struggled with it and she's a much stronger person. And she's like, I knew Song wasn't going to be able to handle this. And I knowing all of that, she still chose to leave so she feels guilty that her decision to leave for her own while being contributed to Song's mental health hitting rock bottom basically and ending in a
suicide according to the novels. So since then Big Nung has been plagued with all these quote like what ifs about Song that are now manifesting in literal nightmares. I think that's where that's all coming from. Yeah, that that makes sense. But like, all of Big Hung's guilt coming up now is because, like, we've talked about it before that she does understand that Song and Little Nung are a lot alike. And I have a feeling that Song was the person we've talked about this too, that she was
closest to before she left. Because I mean, Sam was the little 1, so she was the baby she didn't really have to deal with as much like the two older ones. The most was expected of Nung. And then Song was just probably the shadow and like always with her as well. So with the Grand man dying more more. Oh my gosh. She's died. I'm dying more. I meant recent.
More recent, yeah. Her death passing more recently than Song, Yeah. The The song's death is hurting more again now because she sees Little Nun and it's now a constant reminder of song. Yeah and yeah. It's just reminding her and giving her the fear of losing little nun like she's lost all these other people. Yeah, that is also super valid. So Little Nun counters Big Nung's guilt with What about your feelings?
No one's asked her that. Right, just the way nobody asked Little Nung. How do you feel? Nobody asked Big Nung how she feels, they assume never asking. So here's Little Nung being like, what about you? What about how you felt? Because Little Nung at this point, knew that leaving the palace wasn't something Big Nung just did on a whim. She knows enough about this story that it was hard for Big Nung to even make that decision. And then she didn't. She always felt guilty about it.
I think Lilong knew all that stuff from Big Nung. So and if you think about it, it's it's a decision it took Nung like 30 years to make. Like it did not does not flip the light bulb and she just flip the solution. She just left. It took years for her to probably like get to that point. And I think Lilong knows that Big Nung's motivation wasn't to purposely hurt anybody. It was in her family. It was a mental health decision
and for her well-being. But like, because it happened quite long ago now, it's so much easier to forget the reason why she did stuff and just focus on like, oh, I should have been here, I shouldn't have done that. But no, she's forgetting that she really did have a valid reason for doing all of it, but it's just been so long that the guilt's there and not the reasoning behind it.
That and I also think that big non like, I, I mean, I understand her in the scene, like I think she's fixating on the consequence. Not yeah, she's in a but she's personally in a better position now. But like, Song's dead and she can't undo that. Like, and she's like, I know this contributed to that. Like the imagine trying to live with that guilt of like, I made a decision for me because I I mean, yeah, she had to get out of there, but what was the the cost was my sister's life.
That's kind of how she's thinking about it, like, and you can't blame her for that. Like the two things are linked forever, and that's a lot to live with forever. You know that like. She's always gonna be thinking. Always. If I would have just done that one thing, definitely would my family be together so. Yeah, exactly. That is exactly what she's plagued with. But Liu Nong makes an insane argument. Not insane in a bad way.
Insane because her emotional maturity, like a great argument, which is if Song was this kind and loving sister like you told me, then she would have wanted you to escape and be happy. And I think that's evident by the fact that the photo is still in the Song's room. Like, I think Song had to have seen how Nung was struggling because remember, you mentioned
this Song was the middle sister. So she was like kind of like probably ignored the most because Sam's the baby who gets focused on, Nung's the heir who's super focused. The grand man probably didn't have a lot of space for Song until like Nung was gone. I feel like Song was like Nung's little shadow, right? Because they were closer in the background. But yeah, she was always there with Nung just seeing go through, but she was like ignored. Right.
Yeah, so she was the focus was never really on song and song probably watch what Nung went through. She probably watched the hell Nung went through. Remember a gap where the grand man was burning all her drawings, like songs, all that shit. So she was like, wow, my sister's miserable. Like, you know, and and Liu Nung is making a valid point.
I think what Liu Nong is saying is like, if your sister loved you the way I loved you way I love you, I would also want you to get the hell out of this, regardless of what it did to me. So I think that's what the argument she's trying to make. That song was probably happy you left because she watched you suffer, which is true. I think we don't get confirmation, but I think that's true.
Like, Sam probably also was like, no, probably needed to get the fuck out of here also because, like, Sam was probably too young to, like, really put together what was happening. But I think Sam was probably new pieces of it to be like that. Yeah, I guess that was some fucked up shit. Anyway. And yeah, OK, so you you basically made this point. So I think that the song guilt, why it's manifesting so strongly now is because Big Nung found her happiness and I think, which is little Nung.
And I think that makes her feel even more guilty that she's happy while Song is dead. Like Song never gets to have her happiness. Song's dead. Like I think that's the other thing that she's feeling guilty, guilty about. She's like, I'm doing so well because I left the palace. That's how she met little Mung. That is how she found her happiness because she made this big decision. And she's like, is that the cost
of my sister's life? And I think that's the other reason, like now it's also manifesting. It's it's all Little Mung's fault, is what I'm saying. Oh my gosh. In a good way. She needs to deal with this. And like my biggest gripe with gap the series was that like with Nung, I was like Nung is being like Nung seemed crazy and deranged in gap the series and like especially when it came to like her brushing off the song stuff. And I was like, this is fucked up. Like this woman never thought
about this. So I'm really glad we get this scene where like Nong really processes song because that is such a huge thing that happened in her life and like. This gap sense made no sense. That nung made no sense. The one in gap this nung makes so much more sense. Like I I was waiting for this since I found nung in gap and I'm really glad I was like what the if you if you don't believe us go back to our gap react like discussions.
We I had a whole rant about Nung where I was like what the fuck is this? I was so happy when I saw this. I was like yes thank you this is huge. This is trauma. Let them process the trauma. OK so after little Nung says what about you?
Big Nung looks at her in a way that makes me think Big Nung feels like she's unworthy of this kindness she's getting from Little Long. Not only is she not used to being loved this way, I think part of her feels unworthy because she's in her like dark feels right now. OK, where I think she's she's having trouble seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. She's in the darkness. So they have Little Young be like, what about you? You're worthy of love too. I think Big Young's like, am I
am I am a terrible person. I think that's where she's kind of at. And the other piece of it is that of all the people in the world telling her this, it's Little Nung, OK? And I think Big Nung because she feels guilty about the Ping Fu situation when they were kids. I think Big Nung on some level feels like of all the people in the world, Little Nung is not the one who should absolve her of her guilt, OK, from all the quote awful things she did.
So I think that's why without saying anything, Big Nung grabs Little Nung's hand, OK, Like clasps them and then kisses them while like, bawling her eyes out. Because I think it's her silent way of saying I love you.
But Big Nung is also bracing herself for the rejection that's about to come with her next admission, because she still feels like she played a role in doing something awful to Little Nung. This, this poor girl is going through it because like once you start processing like 1 little bit of trauma, it just all comes flooding out. And so yeah, like, we know Big Nung is still feeling guilty about Little Nung almost not being born.
I feel like she's always going to carry that with her because she's just, she's looking at the person she loves the most in the world now and being like, if, right. If her mom went through all of that, I would not have my happiness anymore. Right. And while Pingfa, while Pingfa didn't do it, Big Dong has to live with the knowledge that like she still told Pingfa to get get an abortion basically. So like she still did say those. She can't untake that thing she said away, right?
Pingfa's decision was Pingfa's decision. But like Big Dong's like I still almost played a role in this. I still did that. And we'll have to live with that forever, like you said. Yeah. And I think that Big Nung is upset that she thinks that she keeps making mistakes over and over, but she hasn't realized how much she has grown since Little Nung has entered her life and that she still has so much more ahead of her to do right.
She's so focused on the mistakes she's made in the past that she's not giving her the opportunity, giving herself the opportunity to grow more and to correct the future. And not just lean on the past. Yeah, I can see that. I I think this whole the mistakes is the crux of everything, OK, This is the crux of the whole show. It's why she's so indecisive now. It's why a lot of their relationship was big, non oscillating between should we do this or we shouldn't do this,
should we do this? We shouldn't do this. And it's not because I don't think she can see good in the future. I think she's so focused on avoiding making more mistakes. Like she's like, I'm worried that every time because like think about these situations she's worried about. Every time Big Nung made a decision, it was the decision she thought was right. She's like, I think this is the best thing to do. So every time she makes a decision she thinks is best,
something bad happens. So I think now in the future, she's like, I'm worried about making something bad happen in the future. So I have to make sure my decisions in the present are the best possible ones. And they can't just be the best ones for me. They have to be the best ones for. So she's always thinking like, well, if I make this decision, how will it affect this person? What if this happens? She's thinking like 10 moves ahead.
Like she's trying to play chess with all of her decisions and be like, OK, but if I do this, this might happen and then this might happen and then this might happen and then World War three might happen. So like, I can't do that. But if I do this, So she's constantly in her head because she's doing these mental like simulations to figure out how to
avoid a bad outcome constantly. So it makes her super indecisive because she's worried about deciding and then making a mistake that could affect everybody. And like, that's why like their relationship is, she's so guilty about it because she's worried little nun is going to have a bad outcome. That's what she's worried about because look what happens to and like all the people that she's worried about are people she genuinely loves and cares about.
She's like keep destroying the people I love, like with my own decisions and like, I'm trying to make better decisions, but it's hard. Making decisions are hard. Period. It is. Yeah, so after she admits to Little Nung, I keep making mistakes over and over again. That's the thing. She's that's the root of all of this. Big Nung says I'm sorry to Little Nung and probably songs Ghost, Who's in the room and Little Nung immediately. I think she's also saying it to like Song.
Like I'm sorry. Song also Little Nung immediately reassures Big Nun. Like look, look at me, I'm fine. Why are you saying you're sorry to me? I'm fine. Despite whatever the hell happened with my mom, I'm still here. I'm queer. Look at this, I'm fine. And Bignu looks stunned, like again, like this is brand new information and she reaches for little Nung's face, almost like she's trying to touch her to believe she's OK and she's
there. And also like I think little Nung reads this differently or perhaps not. So little Nung is like, look, that reassures her, like, I'm not going anywhere, I'm here. But also like once she grabs her face, little Monk's like, I don't think you can give yourself today. So I wonder if like she thought this was the start of sex and she's like, look, we're not going to do that. Last time you were sad, we did sexy times to make you unsaid. We're not doing that this time.
I don't think you're in. A good it does not end. Well, the last time it was terrible. But also like that's a Band-Aid solution, OK? That's like escaping your feelings is not processing them. It's a break from them, not how you get through them. So I think little monk's like, we're not doing that. You're not in the right place for that. I'm here. I'm going to support you no matter how ugly you think this all is.
I'm here for you. Like basically the little one's like I'm in this relationship 100% the good, the bad and everything in between. And she basically tells Big Nung, it's OK that you're not OK today. Like that's OK. This is a lot for you to process, but can you please forgive yourself? I love that she says this. This is the most emotionally mature thing anybody says in this entire show. It's so remarkable that she even says this because that's the problem. Big Nun cannot forgive herself.
That's why she's trapped in the cyclical guilty cycle, because she can't forgive herself for what she did in the past. Like you were saying, Caitlin, in order to move forward. That's just her mindset now in the present of like I'm trying to avoid making new mistakes that hurt people and she's just trapped. So little Nung is saying you got to forgive yourself. That is how you actually move forward is by you forgiving yourself for these things. Like damn little Nung, that's crazy.
She should be a therapist. No little Nung will forever and always be more emotional mature than anyone else in this show. Like I don't I has to be from consuming media growing up because there's no other way for her to achieve this with the family that she has. They were. All nuts. OK, also considering that she has only known one of them her entire life, like I guess we can't even like say chat and ping pho had an effect because like they just entered the chat literally.
But yeah, like, yeah, she doesn't. She doesn't actually know how relationships works. But I think in through the media, which again is very powerful, it teaches you a lot about different types of people and how they react to things. Yeah, like this was what a line? Because like, that, that is the crux of all this. And that's why like Big Non has been beating herself up about
these two decisions in general. And that's why she has all these self loathing kind of behaviors that we keep pointing out. It comes from this like she's mad at herself. That's the root of it all. And Little Nun knows that for Big Nun to move on, she has to accept her flaws. And you can't just run from them and like, reconcile her past to move forward, like we've been saying. But Little Nong wants Big Nong in this in this moment to know she doesn't have to do that alone.
Like they're they're A-Team now. They're a partnership. And she's like, you can lean on me when you're not strong, basically, like in these moments, that's what I'm here for. That's what a relationship is like a real one. That's what partners are. And once Little Nong brings that up, Big Nong leans and like jumps head first into this permission and pulls little nung
into a hug. This is all big Nung doing this and she holds little Nung and kind of like she did in one O 6 like she is desperately holding on to her like a lifeline. She tells little Nung I'm sorry and then says I love you and just holds her in sobs like and just feels all the things and and little Nung says I love you too. I'm here, it's OK. It's going to be OK. Like, to me, this scene is such a beautiful depiction of two people in a a real relationship rocessing grief.
And I've said this a million times this episode. This is my favorite scene in the whole show. This is why I love their relationship so much. At its core, it's two people who understand each other better than anybody else and who support each other and just love each other for who they are and just work through problems together by communicating and supporting each other. This is what a healthy relationship looks like. This is actually what it looks like, OK.
Can I just say thank you to blank because I needed to see this? I don't think I've ever seen the healthy relationship before in my life. Like this, I don't think this was in the book either. I think this was in the show. So like, thank you whoever wrote this because this was really. Like a relationship therapist on the writing staff or something. Like, yeah, I, I the way they took that book that had crazy shit in it and made this
beautiful tell the book's great. I'm not knocking the book, but like the show is so much more beautiful in depicting a healthy relationship than the book was. It's so on point. I, I lost my train of thought. Just like their, their relationship is so beautiful. I just will never get over it. It's just we rarely see this. We really have moments where people are just processing grief together in such a healthy way. Like like, oh, what I was saying was like, like gay staring is
great. Like Gap had a ton of gay staring. Like it's great that all the smutty scenes, great love, all that stuff, the romance beautiful. But like, this is what relationships are like. They're not perfect, but like they're people working through shit together. And like, I appreciate stuff like this. This is real life. Like this is so good. We don't get this in television ever. It's always the romance folk. This was not a romance scene.
This was just two people in a relationship dealing with something big together. Like, we don't get stuff like like that very often in a show that's focused on the relationship, you know what I mean? It's not just the romance. They focus on their actual relationship with each other, which is so great. We saw this more in media. People wouldn't like sabotage their own relationships in real life and would know how to work
through things better. And. Forever. All we see is like sabotaging relationships on TV or movies and stuff. Or it's just like focused on the drama stuff, which is like exciting. Like that's part those are stories. It's not that those shouldn't exist, but like I appreciate this and I will forever be thankful for blank. It will forever be one of my favorite shows ever of all time because of the things like this that you just especially when it's queer people never get
this. So like, this is so like this is peak television for me because like you never get this, like ever. Like the only other thing I can think about is like Hard Stopper does stuff like this where it's just like people navigating tough things as a couple and like talking about it and like moving through it. Like Hard Stopper does this this show. I was not expecting this in the show.
Like it blew me away. Like it's just such an important they have so many important moments of just them in their relationship that I love and it we do get the drama. We do get the crazy drama. You get one O 4. You get them after this, they're going to have to still deal with reality and all like the the parents and like their relationship problems, like not problems, but like the stigma of their relationship. That's all still in the show, but like this is so important period.
I love it. This is so new for people, especially like with this type of media that I think it's maybe part of the reason why the people who don't don't like the show, like it's not focused on gay staring and right, but it's like this romance like right, so but they're so used to the other stuff that this is this is. Boring. Like is it? Look at what's happening here.
Also, I wonder if the other thing too is like Blank had the luxury perhaps of doing scenes like this because they had so many more, like so many more episodes. Like if you had if they only had eight episodes to do Blank like reverse for you, if they only had eight episodes, they weren't
an hour. Could they they would have to cut this like so I think because they had more episodes, they got funded properly for season 2. Maybe that's why this is in here and I'm so glad it is because it's it's such a powerful scene that the characters both needed. It bonds them. It solidifies their relationship as legitimate and like healthy and real and like in a way that like having sex doesn't, you know what I mean? It's like it's more of an actual
relationship. Basically gap walk so blank could run correct? That's the that is the exactly you said it. We said it here first, but I'm sure other people have said it exactly. Gap walk. So some so blank could just yeah. So if you didn't. Appreciate that scene before I hope. You do now, 'cause that's my favorite scene in the show. OK. So then from there we pivot hard. Into the opening ceremony. For big Nung. 'S gallery. Everyone is there, Little Nung Sam, Mon Chet, wine Viva, bunch
of randos. But you know who isn't there? That should be Jim T Kade. Where's Sam's influencer friends who are gonna help with the Where are they? Where are they like? Sam said they'd be there. Yeah, Sam, what the hell would she find? Random influencers? Right, right. Maybe. Some of the randos are like. I don't know if she found them on the street. Right, like, what the hell Sam, Anyway. Although like I think we talked about before, knowing Jim, Jim
would be late. Kade. OK, so Kade is probably still working on one of her sets and has to like run off in a costume. So she's going to be late. We already know that. Tea, I feel like would show up on time to this Jim questionable decision of whether she'd be there on time or not. But like I feel like T would be here on time. Maybe T was driving everybody and T is just like in the car being like, come on, we're gonna be late, right? And Sam and mom are. Like fuck you guys, we'll go in
first. We'll see. Like I I'm sure they'll show up later, but like, this was prime. Where's Jim Anyway, if you did not guess where Theor was going with that, where have you been and or I know. Where have you been? Also I. Feel bad for anybody that hasn't seen GAP. I have no idea if you. Haven't. Seen gap? I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry anybody in anything that we cover in the Thai media. Even I think we've mentioned Jim in other like. American Jim is. Everywhere.
Jim is probably our favorite character, period. So we bring up Jim all the time. I'm pretty sure we talked about a heart stopper once. It brought up Jim. Like Jim just keeps showing up. I'm pretty sure Jim wasn't a heart stopper. I'm pretty sure Jim wasn't a heart. Stopper thing, we just bring up Jim all the time, just I love Jim. Do yourself a favor and just watch some of Gap. Seriously. Understand who Jim is anyway, so let's get going with this gallery opening.
Otherwise, this episode is gonna be 700 hours. Long SO. Basically Chet. OK, so here's how it goes. So big numg pops open the champagne. Be like. Yay, it's open. Who's next to her? Sam and Mon are off to the side and she's kind of like starting this whole ceremony, everybody. 'S happy then Chet. Approaches OK, he's in in his best tuxedo, shows up with a giant bouquet of flowers and gives them the nung immediately after she opens the ceremony again, he's doing courting shit.
That's like really weird. And big Nung immediately looks at little Nung who's off to the side to be like, are you mad at me? I didn't ask him to like, oh God, like, how do I get rid of like she's panicking. She looks at her girlfriend. It's like, oh shit, this looks this looks bad. It looks like he's her boyfriend giving her flowers for opening her ceremony. And that's how the room reads this. That's what he wants. That's how the room reads the situation. Why do I know that?
Because who shows up next? Juan Viva. So. Juan Viva then shows up, just to rub salt in the wound for poor little Nung, who's watching her girlfriend get bouquet flowers from her stupid father she doesn't even want. So Juan Viva shows up, grabs Big Nung's arm, so that's already bad, and Big Nung keeps looking at all of them. I'm like. I'm so. Sorry, I'm so sorry. I don't like everything's so public right now. She can't really make a scene about anything.
Yes, there's probably Pete reporters. There influencers, this is the opening right? So Juan Viva shows up and. Then what does Juan Viva do? Juan Viva with all her not doctor connections? Who the fuck is Juan Viva? I need to see more of a fair. She shows up and she's like, listen, Nung, I brought my friends who are all doctors who have an interest in like your gallery and like booking it. So business reasons. So like one of you is doing a good thing. She's like, hey, business reasons.
Like I have some buyers like come talk to them. Let's schmooze. That's what the hope. That's what this says. But what does one of you even do? She tells big Nung that. Then she looks at Chet and goes Chet. Is it OK if I go take her? Like he's the. Boyfriend and she's like, do I have your permission to take your girlfriend away? That's what because that's how one of you read the situation. She's like, oh, they must be together again. Let me ask him, can I take your
girlfriend away? Chat, you bitch, chat. Was never going to no, I just. Chat, I hate him. Can someone ship chat off to? A deserted island. Literally get rid of him. He's so annoying but I hate that his plan works because he's an opportunist. Like he's a dumb. Bitch. But like, not when it comes to this. He knew publicly what his behavior would be read as. And here's a friend of Big Nung proving he was right. She reads him as the boyfriend and this.
And Juan Viva throws Little Nung into a jealous rage. Because Juan Viva does manage to get Big Nung over to the buyers. Which is legitimate, right? That's why we're here. But poor Little Nung is being snubbed, like, many times in this scene, and decides to drown all of her sorrow in free champagne while Big Nung wordly watches her from across the room. She's like, trying to get introduced to these buyers and cannot. She's not engaging in the conversation.
Juan Viva's doing all the schmoozing, and Big Nung is just looking at Little Long. Oh, shit. She's drinking. And she's a lightweight, so this is going to be terrible later. Yeah. I mean, I I do understand what Little Nung things like there's. Always these people that are coming in between the relationship and again, it's just she's thinking they could be together and they can't be together together, right? And what Little Long's upset about is that she's like.
I can't. Claim her as my girlfriend right now. So this is big. This is Little Long's legitimate insecurity. She can't step up and be like, what are you doing? Why are you giving my? Girlfriend Flowers. Why are you stop touching my girlfriend's arm? Like she wants to do those things but can't. So she's just like, watch this happen.
And that's upsetting, you know, after like after they're coming off the cusp of having this huge intimate moment where like Big Nong was exposing the darkest parts of herself. That's the most intimate thing they've ever done. And here we are back in reality where Little Nong is like, that's right. I can't be your girlfriend in public and I have to watch people court you right in front of me. Like that's a lot. I don't blame no. And I know in the beginning I
was like, why is she so? Jealous like why is she like sabotaging this opening by like drinking? But like I do. Understand where she's coming from. Like it's a lot and she's like, I just need to forget. I wanna point out that one night at the bar apparently taught little Nung how to drink quickly. Oh my God. Not responsibly, but that girl can like doubt it really fast. She learned chugging. At the Waffle. House, no matter what it is that's. Expansive champagne. This bitch is just.
Like chug chug chug. Like, girl, that's what you do at. Waffle House not not here. You're supposed to daily sip that anyway. I understand why she's doing this. She's like, I'm not paying for it. OK, but let's go back to this scene. So like to OK to be fair though, Chad's. Being a bitch, he's trying. To be like that's I'm. Staking a claim on Big Nun, that's what he's doing.
Juan Viva, though, while she's being clingy 'cause they're, you know, that's how she is. She's legitimately trying to be like Nung business. You know, she's actually trying to help her out here, which is like, OK. And then big Nung, while she's like longingly looking at little Nung it you're also could be like, why don't you just go talk to little Nung? It's like she is trying to like get this business off the ground. So like, I can't understand like why Big Nung doesn't do an
action in the scene. She's in a business meeting. What I have a question about is why Mon and Sam are watching this and not doing anything. Why don't they go over to Little Nung and be like, hey little Nung, this is probably upsetting for you 'cause they know about their relationship. They just watched all this shit go down, yet they do nothing.
I'm kind of mad at them in this scene for not going to Little Nung and like comforting her or at least like giving her company because now little long it does not know. I mean, yes, she knows people in this. Room, but it's not relevant for her to go up and talk to anybody. Yeah, and she's not going to talk to Chad. Fuck that guy. So yeah, exactly. Like why aren't Mon and Sam looking out for little long in the scene? I'm kind of mad at them a little bit, not going to lie.
That is fair. Especially Mon. I feel like out of everyone Mon would go for it at least just start talking. About either the. Podcast or something, right? They have eyes too. They can see all of this going down and then they do nothing. Like, come on, guys. Anyway, I feel like the second glass of champagne someone should have went over there, correct? Yeah, why are so she'd. Stop drinking, right? I yeah like read the room Mount and Sam. Like good Lord they were.
Watching. They weren't just. Canoodling. They were watching. We have scenes of them just like watching. Anyway, I'm kind of mad at them in the scene regardless, so Little Nung chugged a bunch of champagne and then after the gallery opening, Big Nung escorts a little drunken Nung back to the palace. And this time, Little Nung doesn't fight Big Nung tooth and nail to get into the.
Palace Plus. We get this hilarious comment from Big Nung where she's taking her up the stairs and she's like, you know, you're a lightweight, why don't you drink so much? Big knock. You're not helping the situation with your ridiculousness right now. Like she's upset. Anyway. But I think she's grumbling, 'cause she's like, I gotta carry you up these stairs. I wouldn't have had to do this. She's just being grumpy, which
is funny. All right, The 2nd and I mean the second, they get inside little long. Starts in with the Juan Viva. Stuff immediately she's like, did you have fun with the beautiful doc? I again every time the beautiful doctor. Did you have fun talking to the beautiful doctor? I love big Nog's face because she's probably like, you know, you don't have to call her the pretty doctor, right? You could just call. Her Juan Viva like. You know, you don't have to call her that, but you keep calling
her that, OK, It's just funny. Little Nung is just jealous though, 'cause like we said, little Nung is jealous. That big? Nung is able. To stand very close together with Juan Viva in public, and little Nung can't do that. OK, That's what she's insecure about. Also in the gallery, Big Nung let Juan Viva cling to her arm. So little Nung is just very triggered. By all this stuff. And so she's like, why can't you guys stay apart? Meaning, like, why are you so physically close to each other?
Like, you can talk to her about why do you have to, like, be so close? And I think Big Nun let it happen because if she shirked off her close friend, I feel like that would raise suspicion from other people. Chet, who's sniffing around and they're like, palace, that she's in a relationship with somebody else. Like, I think that would have tipped off other people. So Big Nun was probably like, fuck, I can't do anything right now. It would be. It would hurt. Yeah.
I think that got in her head. Even if she could, she would have overthought everything still. And she would. Have been paralyzed and not be able to do. Anything that and she knows shirking off one Viva does nothing. One Viva just keeps doing it. She's like little lung. You're like, stop it. And you're like, no, no. It's fine. Like, again, she would have lost. So just she's like, this is just
going to be the worst. But for once in this conversation, Big Nung has the brain cell and she says, I think you're too drunk for this conversation. So why don't I take you upstairs to your room, You go to sleep, sober up, and we'll talk about this in the morning, OK? She has the brain cell here, but big a little. Nung is not having this because she's fucking upset. Because Juan. Viva makes her. Feel so insecure that she needs to immediately reassure herself
that Big Nung is hers. OK, so she does the one thing Juan Viva can't do, which is aggressively make out with Big Nung. OK And Big Nung tries to stop this at first because brain cell right? She's drunk also they're in the palace and the welcoming committee should be arriving any second now. And she's like, we can't do this here. But Little Nung refuses to yield and does it again. And Big Nung gets all serious afterwards and says you want to do this right And I. Think what she's really.
Saying is you want someone to catch us, that's what you want. That will not make you happy. She's like fine let someone catch us in style. Then so that big Nung pins little Nung against the wall hot and then we get an aggressive make out session done by big Nung and we get the famous 360 kiss that happens. I have a question, why is it called 360 kiss? Cause I've been trying to figure this one out and I have not. What? Seriously. Big Nung does the 360 thing.
Did you not see this kiss? She does like a circle, man. It's that's what it's called. She does the full circle. It's probably more like. A180 if you're actually doing degrees. OK, thank you. I only saw a one. 80 she goes around. Man, it's 360 kisses what it's called. All right, OK. That's what the Phantom calls it. So as predicted. The welcoming committee. In the form of Auntie Nim comes to welcome them. And catches them mid.
Make out and they are 100% not on the same page when they get caught cause big Dong looks very unsettled but little Nung looks pissed off that they were interrupted because that kiss was heating up and she's like damn it I'm pretty sure little Nung looks pissed. I'm pretty. Sure, little Nung was like. Fuck me in the hallway. I'm pretty sure that's what she wanted. She's. Like prove to me. Right now that you're mine in all the ways. And then I think all her servants see, right?
Let them all see. Yeah. I'm thinking it was like someone's gonna interrupt this. Is this what you? Wanted at least let's. Do this right if we're gonna get caught. So that's where it ends. Damn. Any other thoughts about this episode? I realized we didn't actually name any Taylor Swift Sir on songs during this. We've we've moved to a bunch of other things. We did a lot of other. Music and I'm trying to it's I know, I don't know what's.
This song about jealousy. There's so many songs about jealousy. Damn. Oh. My God, we're stumped. I can't. We're actually stumped. So many. Songs that I can't. Even also. That think I have to think on this one some more. I can't think of a Taylor. Song, right? Now that would relate to. This episode. You stumped us blank. Good job. If you can think of 1, leave us in the comment. Oh yeah, if you can. If you can. Tell us some That would be
really, really great. That'd be really helpful because our brains are not working right now, so I. Guess we got none. Big Gay Energy Award. OK the kiss in the hallway against the car. Oh my God. Leaning against the car yes no and big nong being like. You want us to get caught, let's get caught the right way. And it's like corrects the.
Drunk make out. Session it's like we're gonna do this right, let's make this as hot as possible and make them be and little Mon be pissed off when they get interrupted. Those two things together. She's like damn it, Auntie do this is getting good. That was hilarious. Maybe also the Sapphic lesson too. Well, if Chet didn't. Interrupt if Chet. Didn't interrupt. Yeah, that had a bunch. Of Big Gay also like little known getting 10,000 views on her first podcast. Club.
Oh my gosh. Good job, girl. What about the Big Gay Audacity Award, Chuck? Showing up. Chuck showing. Up and also. Juan Viva. Like being Juan Viva, being Juan Viva, just being Juan Viva. She has a lot of big gay audacity. Let's. Keep it 100. Yeah, so she does now. Caitlin. Secret. Word. OK, so because these episodes are so long, we always want to know if you. Made it to the end to listen to our full rambles. Use this. OK, so it sorry it started out with supposed to be hard to
spell. Words that you were. Supposed to use randomly and now it's just going to be random words that come into my head. The last episode, you have two options for this one. The last episode was supposed to be croquette, but I said it as croquet. So if you and we let you pick which one. So you can either do the opposite one that you picked for this one. So either croquet or croquette, depending on what you did last time. Or you can incorporate hissy fit into a comment or a review.
Why hissy fit? I don't know, but that's what my brain came up with. I was listening. To Taylor Swift and I. Guess a word that was somewhere reminding me of hissy fit and it didn't. It didn't. It meant nothing near it. But that's what I came up with so you're welcome. Surprised me so many of you have been doing it recently and it makes me so happy when I see them. And trust me, we I know because multiple people do it.
I can figure out what the word was because I'm like oh, that's a write a word that's in multiple comments. Now it's amazing. I love it. Thank. You, everyone, hang along. It makes Caitlin very happy. We appreciate that. I also just love it because then our comment section is really random. So that people are just passing by and looking at the video and they're like, what are these comments? I just love that.
That makes me happy cuz I didn't think about that with reviews cuz I think if people are looking at reviews cuz like you. Don't have? Any context? No context. Exactly. But anyway, so bonus points if you do it in a review. We haven't had reviews recently. So that would be. Amazing. It's OK. We love you guys. Thank you for all your participation. Thank you for coming along on this journey. It's been a journey. It is. We're not even done yet. We are not done. We have 4 episodes left.
Five episodes left, five no Great. Episode 3. Four. Oh yeah, the secret episode. The Secret of Us episode not about the. Secret of us. Not about the secret. Where is it? No, it's about blank. So yeah, no worries. We'll give you hints when we get there. We're gonna ask for. Your participation. In that episode also eventually. So we'll keep you posted. It's an evolving thing, don't worry. Yeah, We don't fully know what's going to go on in the secret.
We have a rough outline. There's always an outline. So we'll get there when we get there, and we'll keep you posted and until. Next. Time hydrate for lesbian Jesus and get it up all over the place.
