Wait for it. Oh, I'm ready. All right, so let's get into this episode. Woo Woo. And we are starting with Big Nung well, not visiting Sam. Visits big nung. Big Nung at her shop because Big Nung still can't process anything on her own. Sam needs to be there to help guide her on her queer journey. Sam is like her emotional support lesbian. But big nung is. Surprised to see Sam, but she's the one who.
Invited her there she keeps doing this and I'm like are you OK Do do we have early onset dementia or are we just so distracted by little nung that we can't remember events that just happened of. Course, I am definitely the latter. I know. Yeah. So Nung says that she is waiting for customers and yeah, basically everyone else can see around that customer thing. And Sam's like, are you waiting for customers or are you waiting for your girl?
And Nung makes a space where she's like, damn, the bitch sees right through me. And then 'cause Sam can read you like a magazine girl. And she like tries to. Deny. It but Sam like she's like. I know I'm right customers or Kun Nung's girl. Is that why we're all here, ma'am? And I love Nung's reaction to this. She like has this face where she's like fighting a smile and like trying to like conceal it, but it's super not working because she's like internally pleased by this.
She's like, I like the sound of that, but also I don't like her. Sam EW, what the hell? She's the worst. Yes. And Sam, Sam knows that there's more going on, so she asks how it's going. And big Nung tells her that little Nung is gone, but she's happy about it because now her life is peaceful. And then Sam's reactions to all of her, like deflecting her actual feelings is like this, like uh huh, OK, very peaceful. And then she's like, alright, but why is she gone?
Do you know? And Nung's like, well, you know, she thought that we were dating and Sam asked what? Sam asked what we were all thinking honestly. She says why didn't you tell her that I'm your? Sister thing? Yes. Why? Why? It's like that should have been the first thing out of your mouth and then. Not you're not worthy. You're I would rather date my sister than you. That's. Awful. So weird. And then Sam calls her out for telling little Nung that she wasn't worthy since she didn't
fight for her. Like go Sam for calling her out. Yeah, you know, literally admiring Sam's bluntness in this scene. She she also calls Nung harsh, which is true 'cause like and but also like. This is coming from Sam, the woman that publicly fired Mon without telling Mon so she could ask her out to evade the company's no dating policy. That Sam is being like, I don't know, knowing. I think you were being unreasonable. Like the? Irony and forgets. All of the problematic things
that she did in her pants. Literally like, but I mean the something these two have in common in these sisters, they're just menaces to the sapphic community. Let's just say that. If you have not, if you didn't see Gap before blind, you would think that Sam and Mon are just like the perfect people. Ever. Yeah. Problematic, Free. Absolutely not. And all the problems, mostly, most of them. 95% of the problems came from Sam, Yeah.
OK, so then we go to Little Nung, who was reliving all of the misery of when Big Nung said she never wanted to see her face again. You know, like. Crushed. A little. Puppy. And she is sitting in the mall at the same boba place that they had to stop her conversation. OK, so. It's the same one. Folk is still there. I wonder if he works there at all. Or did he just never leave this boba? He's too scared. He's like, I can't. Leave. I'm so ashamed. Oh wait, my girl is here.
What a miracle. Forget about everything else. Yeah, so he folk brings little Nung a piece of cake, and then we find out how they actually met. Oh my God. Little Nung does not know how they met, but they did, so we find out that his crush on her started when she hit him in the face with the door. And literally this gave me Mean Girls vibes. Like the scene where they're all the characters are having those montages about Regina George and the one girl's like she punched
me in the face once. It was awesome. Like that's literally folk. He's like, she hit me with a door once. It was awesome. And that I just loved her forever from that moment, like she's Regina George. But what is this? So funny. Is Regina George. His bar is really low. No, it it just, yeah, it's Regina George level where he's worshipping her. I also want to note that he buys her cake as the peace offering, which is not the same thing as making food for her just so he's
trying to compete. But it's, you know, his competition has got him outmatched. Just putting that down. Well, technically, Pignon didn't make her food either. Not yet. Not yet, Not yet. Not. Yet, Oh, she made her tea. She has made her stuff. Oh. OK, well, tea. She's broke right now. She can't make her food. She doesn't have money for food. She'll get there. She'll get there. She's learning.
So folk says that he wants to be friends with her after because she's like Oh no, did I break your nose? Do you want me to pay for your nose? Is this extortion like her mind goes there first? She's like. Can't be friendship. I don't know what that means. He's like, no, I just want to be friends with you. And she gets up at me and she's like, oh, we can't be friends, I'm sorry. And then runs away. And I think part of the reason is she's like boy is gross. But also cuz like she's the, she
is clearly a lesbian. I'm like, let's be real. Like she has so much. Energy so fully, fully accepting of that fact as well. Yeah, she's fully queer. Let's just agree on that. Like, it's not even a chance in hell she's not. But I think I think part of this is trauma because if her grandmother ever saw this, like she's alone unsupervised with a boy, her grandmother would kill her or like misinterpret that so fast.
So I think that's part of the reason why she's like, I can't, I'm not even allowed to have female friends. Like my grandmother won't forget it. We could never be friends. I think that's part of why she's like no and runs away. The grandmother would kill. Folk. I think she would kill him and then send her abroad. Yeah, I think this. I think she's afraid of the grandmother. That's part of why she runs away, which is again, sad that this girl can't even have conversations with people.
It's just, it's anyway. I, I, I'm with you, Caitlin. I, I hate the way everybody treats her like she deserves so much more respect than what she gets. She really does. So Sam and Big Nung are once again eating together, because again, that's the only way you'll get Big Nung to do anything is if food's evolved. And Sam knows this. Yes, Sam's like Sam has accepted that a long time ago. She's like fine food. I like food too. We're good.
We'll just go. So Sam tells Big Nung that she was harsh and that she that Sam would be mad too if someone said those things to her. Because like, that's pretty shitty telling someone that you're they're not worthy of you. But Big Nung is so fixated that little Nung said she would do anything to make herself worthy of her, and that she broke that promise by basically conceding. Like being like I'm network gonna be good enough for you? Yeah. And that that was that was the
trigger for sure. Because this one person, this is the only person who's ever tried to fight for her. And now that she's no longer fighting, she's like, well, I wonder if Big Nung's like and does that mean I'm just not worth fighting for? Right. I think that's definitely part of it. Like she's like, oh, I guess my grandmother was right. No one could ever love me. Worthy is love.
Like in her brain, I think she's starting to conflate the two things because this person is invoking actual feelings on her and she's like, she's getting hurt and she's afraid. But yeah, she basically, she calls Little Nung half hearted person. She's like Sam, you know, I don't like wishy washy people. Like I like This is why she likes Sam. She's like, you're direct and like forthright with your feelings and shit and like that and you're a woman of action. That's what I like.
I don't like this wishy washy shit. And that's definitely true because part of her attraction to Little Nung is the insane confidence that she has. Like she's into that. Like that's an attractive quality and like Big Nung is into that. And I think, like you said, Caitlin, I think Big Nung was starting to really hope that Little Nung was going to be the one to save her from her isolation because she's without that, she's alone except for Sam.
And I think Big Nung is terrified that if Little Nung can't live up to that, then she's really destined to be alone. And that that's really the root of all she's afraid. And so she's like, let's cut ties now before this gets weirder. Let's just you're obviously you're not the one. We're done. Yeah. Girl, What? What are you doing? This is insane. She'd rather just end it now than risk making her heartbreak even worse later. Exactly exactly. This is self preservation at the
expense of little nun. Yeah, but self preservation had been the whole thing of her life so. Yes, yeah, she's regressing right now, which is hard to watch. Which little nun can relate? But unfortunately they're not out of the place where they talk about that yet. Not yet. So Sam is still like fully not attacking, but like trying to get Big Nung to realize that what she did was wrong. And Sam says she's young and you didn't even tell her that we were sisters. Like at least tell her that
part. Like this poor girl is now still thinking that you have another prospect. And she's like, you were also way too harsh. Yeah, translation confidence. Her lack of confidence has nothing to do with this. You were being a Dick and little Nung has every right to be mad at you. Like thank you Sam, for basically saying that to big Nung. Cause big Nung is like, well, what about how I feel? It's like, yeah, OK, you're having feelings, that's valid. But like, can you think about
the other person in this? Because you're being unreasonable and a Dick and I would also be pissed at you and I love you unconditionally. So like, yeah, like she's just trying to be like, can you not get out of your head for like 2 seconds? But you know, I and it like it's again, these are things coming off a gap. These are all things that are real rich coming from Sam because Sam is basically like, you need to be honest with her.
But Sam is in her her Iwifed Mon era and she's learned the importance of like actually communicating honestly. So I love that Sam calls her out and she's like, OK, thanks for laying your case. But like, from what I'm seeing and hearing, you're wrong. And even if this were me in this position, you're still in the wrong. But Nung is a very stubborn person, that's part of her personality. That's why we're in the situation where she's estranged from her family and things like
that. Again, not saying right or wrong, but she's stubborn. That's part of her personality. And she's like, no, I'm happier. Fuck that girl. I don't need her. I'm single and ready to mingle and Sam's like whatever. And I'm sure, OK, you're quote happy. Uh huh, sure. But Nung just looks anything but like Sam can see the writing of the wall and she's like, you need to get your head out of your ass. That's kind of the problem here.
And like, you're too stubborn. You have to do it on your own. So I'm just going to sit here and point at the writing on the wall and be like, none, none. You were being a Dick. You were you say this, you were being a Dick. Come on, you need to tell her I'm your sister. That's fucking weird, man. It's like, at the very least. Tell. Her. I'm your sister. Yeah, and I just Sam. OK, think about how baffling all of this is for Sam, though. She's like, my sister is being crazy right now.
Like, actually wildly irrational. Like Nung, who's like, the epitome of perfection. Like a Sam grew up believing probably what the grandma wanted her to believe, that her oldest, oldest sister is the epitome of perfection. And like, here she is tricking a young woman into thinking that they're dating and then gets mad at her. And he was like, what is happening to you? Like you're not OK right now. What is happening? No one's OK right now. Right. She's like, damn, knowing in
love is terrifying, you know? Yeah. OK so then we after this we get a Sam and Mon scene which I'm convinced that they put this in here just so they can be cute together. Yes, and I'm OK with that. Yeah, basically Sam is just filling non in on everything that's happening because she needs to keep Mon in the loop because that that's her girl. Yeah, but how is she actually going to give advice to people without Mon whispering stuff in her ear? Right, this is her shoulder she
leans on, right? Her confidant. This scene is very cute. It's definitely not in the book because the book is all from Big Non's point of view. So yeah, they're definitely here for I think levity 'cause they're objectively hilarious, the two of them. And then just to have more of, of Mon and say I'm being cute, right? And also like, the other thing too, is that Nung doesn't have a friend group like Big Nung. Neither of them have friend groups.
So like, you need other people who are like, talking to them. So you get exposition of what the hell they're thinking. And so I think there's having these moments where to, like, reinforce it, like Nung is being weird. And that's basically what this conversation is. Mon's like, hey, I noticed that you're just worried. First of all. It's just like, hey, I know I notice you're really worried about your sister. Like, like you've been worrying about her. You don't normally worry about her.
Like, what's going on? And I love that they're doing this. Like, they're getting ready for bed and, like, Mon is brushing Sam's hair, which apparently is a thing you do when you're in some kind of situationship because the nuns do it later. Or like, this is just a thing. Like, I guess, OK, this means I love you. I guess this is gonna brush your hair. I've never experienced this, so OK. Well, they do it in a league of their own as well all. Right, I guess this is a it's. A.
Form of cording, I suppose. If you're into that thing. Sure, whatever. Whatever you're into, whatever you're into, it's fine. And again, Sam reinforces that like, she's like, well, my sister is being fucking weird. I've never seen her behave like this ever. And she makes the comment that like, Can you believe my sister? The person who doesn't care about anybody in the world now suddenly cares about somebody? That's weird. So it's like, it's a big deal. This is a big change that Sam is
seeing in her sister. And she's like really concerned because Sam cares. Sam is the loving sister. She cares. And then I love when she fills Mon and she's like you want to know what else is weird? She her girl thinks that we're dating me and her are dating and. That's like what? What? Because it's weird. OK, but Sam being Sam, uses this weird confession as an opportunity to flirt with Mon, which is my favorite thing that she does. She's like, she's like, yeah,
the girl thinks that I'm her. I'm Nung's girlfriend, but like, I'm your girlfriend or whatever. And it's like, Sam, how did you turn that into, like, flirting? Like that's such a weird transition, but it works. Yeah, she says something like you're the only one for me or something like that. She's like. I'm exclusively your girl and Mon's like and then tries to like make out with her and Mon's like if you do this, we can't keep talking, Sam. Like finish what you're talking about.
Sam's like, oh, I was kind of done talking anyway. She has other things in mind. Yeah. She does, and then they get to it because we have to reinforce the fact that it's still Sam and Mon. All right, So after we cut away from Sam and Mon being cute and we go back to Nung, who's at her flat and she's reflecting on all this. She's got Sam in her head,
right? And she's like replaying what Sam is saying and she's like basically like, you're being a Dick. And Nong's like, fine, I guess 'cause she has to be alone to process her shit. And I think she does admit to herself, like, all right, I guess I'm being unreasonable. Let me call Little Nong and like, clear this up or it's check on her, right? But Little Nong chooses not to pick up the phone because she's Little Nong is hurt. Rightfully so. This was super fucked up and she's confused.
She's like, why the fuck is she calling me out of the Blues? She didn't want me to see her. This is weird. You know, I'm just and she's very fixated on the fact that little big nun said I never want to see you again. So she's like, I'm not picking. I'm I'm not doing this. I'm too upset. I mean Big Nung on the other other line, we keep cutting over to her and she's like getting more and more agitated with every ring. Like she's like why the fuck is she picking up?
Is she dead? Is she dying? Like what's going on? Because she also doesn't like being out of the loop with little Nung. As mad as she is, she does she cares and she's like what's going on? Why isn't she picking up? She always picks up. Like I feel like she has a million thoughts going on and she's like Oh my God, is she dead? Did the stalker get her? So she tries again. She's like, OK, maybe the phone, she was in the bathroom and she couldn't pick up the phone.
I don't know, the grandmother's there, whatever. So she tries again, but this time the phone's disconnected. Cause little Nung was like, my mental health is more important. I'm darting off the phone. I believe so. Good for her to like, protect yourself. Exactly. Good for you. This shit's toxic. Good for you. So then once the phone like won't connect, they're like this number has turned off their whatever it that's what it registers for Big Nung. That little Nung is so mad that
she's actively avoiding her. And that's when she's like, I done fucked up. Like Sam said, I, I'm being a Dick. I'm in the wrong here. And this is the night where Big Nung doesn't sleep. She's so frazzled by this that she spends a whole night tossing and turning because she's that level of worried that she can't get this out of her head. So eventually she just gives up on sleeping. She's like, sleep is never coming. Fuck it.
So she goes into her art studio at home and basically just like, gives into her thoughts. She's like, fuck it, I can't get this girl out of my brain. I'm just gonna do something constructive about it. And that's when she sits down and completes the portrait of Little Nung. And I think it's worth noting that the way Little a big Nung draws a little Nung and she draws her without her glasses on, OK? Remember, she only saw that image once. She only saw her do that once.
And it's so burned into her memory that that's what she draws, OK? That's what stuck in her brain. And to me, that's a private admission from Nung through action, not words, that that's what's on her mind. And she's letting herself think about little Nung. And like, that's how she's thinking about her, OK? Big smile on her face, radiant as fuck. Like that's the image, that's the little nung that she's in love with basically, and that that's what she draws.
Only without the glasses though, apparently. That she only saw once once OK burned in her brain. OK, so she's doing art therapy basically. And while Big Nung is doing art therapy, we shoot over to Little Nung, who is in her sad feels because the puppy got kicked, right? And I think she's at the tutor school for some reason. I guess it's a weekend because she's not in her uniform. I guess she's like, I'm fuck this grandma, I'm gonna go study on the weekends.
I don't wanna be trapped with you. So she goes to the the school and her friends kind of show up and they're like, hey, we're gonna ditch school and go get ice cream. And they're like, ah, Little Nung, I guess you can't come with us 'cause your grandmother's a bitch. And poor Little Nung is like, Yep, I'm not allowed to have fun ever or be seen with people because my grandmother will kill you and me and everyone in this room. So she's like, OK.
And then the the friends leave and little long just like sitting at this table all by herself, looking completely dejected. And at first I was like, why is this scene even in here? It's super random. But I think the point of this little tiny scene is to really demonstrate just how alone little Nung really is. Like she can't even like hang out. Like she doesn't really even have friends to hang out with. She's she's just everywhere she goes, she's isolated.
There is no safe space for her, right? You would think that school sometimes is a safe space because you can be with your friends and your your parents or guardians aren't there and like, you can be more relaxed. But like, even in this environment that's designed for people her age, she's still all alone and it just sucks. So she's just sitting with these feelings. She has no Sam to call. Like she's just stuck with them and it just sucks. This is not her choice.
Like this is a byproduct of the way her grandmother raised her. It just, she's just so alone. It's really heartbreaking. Yeah, Big Numb was her only safe space, and now that's not even safe for her because she has to protect your like, safe space is not having to protect your mental health. Yeah, agreed. Or watch what you say or like, monitor your behavior. And yeah, really, it's really
heartbreaking. But what during the scene when it was like panning up, I I for a second I thought it was Mon. I don't know why because Mon's barely in this show, but it just this shirt looks like something Mon would wear. It is, it's very like it's light pasteli blue and pink and it's very much something Mon would wear. I agree. So I was like very confused. I was like, why? Where are we getting a shot of Mon by herself? Because Marissa kills it as mom,
we got to keep using her. Yeah, I would love to see the Mons together. I mean, I'd love to see everyone together, but it would be very interesting to see. Marissa and Becky, that would be amazing. I would love to see that also. They they just nail it all right. So big nuns like this bitch won't pick up my phone call. I know where to find her. So we end up at the blank bus stop. And this is one of my favorite moments.
So little Nung sees her and then it's like fuck, I don't want to talk to her and the bus is coming right? And so little Nung runs to get to the stop and the bus I guess was like Nope, too slow. And it keeps going, which is super fucked up because big Nung was sitting at the bus stop the whole time. So this bus. Stop. This bus driver just ignored the fact that Big Nung was waiting for the bus and just kept going. They're just so fucked up. It's so funny.
Little Nook should have had to run. There was somebody at the stop. The bus just ignored her, kept going. The bus driver could instantly see that the two of them had so much chemistry that they needed to work things out. So they just. Kept driving. He's like these bitches need to talk because he just kept going so. Rude and not on my. Bus actually, he's like don't breathe that lesbian energy on this bus. Do this at the bus stop. So they they they do basically.
It's so funny, though. I'm just like, what a rude bitch. Just love Nung hanging. OK, so big Nung's like ha, caught you and then little Nung is like ah fuck, I'm not supposed to look at her. She yelled at me and I've been sad about this. So she's like looking down at her feet, ignoring direct icon, which is something she's never had to do before because you know, the audacity is bitch right? And big nums like fuck, like she won't even look at me. This is this is bullshit. I'm the queen.
You should look at me. I'm so pretty and she's mad about this. I'm like, girl, Yeah, yeah, obviously reflected, but did not that much. It wasn't that deep. Clearly she's like, I'm not in the wrong, we're not fighting. What are you talking about? She's super in denial about everything. I think it's because because she sees her losing the confidence and she's like. Look. Turn it back on. Turn it back. On Get your confidence back. Yeah, literally.
She's like, turn it back on, Turn it back on, OK. And I, I think the other thing too is that big Nung, even though she doesn't admit it, she's trying to make make it up to little Nung, but she doesn't know what the fuck she's doing because this is all brand new. When does she ever apologize to anybody? Never. And she's never had to make up anything to anybody.
So this is new. And again, this is a 36 year old who's stunted and doesn't know what the hell they're doing and is trying to do it and is fumbling, which is fine. That's how we learn, OK? We're not always perfect on the first track, right? This is the one area of her life where she's not perfect. And she also doesn't know what to do. She's like, why aren't you doing what I want you to do? I'm frustrated right now. That's part of it, too. OK, But she's doing her best.
What she's like, first of all, OK, we can't have a conversation if you're looking at your feet. So she's like, look at me. Look at me right now. And little nun looks up and the minute she looks up and big nun gets a look at her, I think she can see the fact that she has like red puffy eyes. She does not look OK. And then finally Big Nung is out of her head enough to like actually take in what's in front
of her. And she's like starts basically projecting everything she's been going through or she's like, are you OK? Are you eating well? Are you sleeping well? Basically all the things she wasn't, she's like, I'm not fine. I'm not eating well. I'm not sleeping, obviously. And so she's I think she's trying to be like, are you also upset without like asking, are you upset?
And basically she gets all of these regular answers until we get to the sleep and little nugs like, well, normally I'd sleep well. OK, so that's the only crumb that big nun gets that they're on the same page. And then big nuns like, OK, you said you can eat, buy me some food. Translation is like, keep courting me like because food is love language and buying a meal equals a date. She's like Take Me Out on a date
right now. But like the audacity to ask her to buy her food, not can I buy you food? The audacity of the both of them. No, you're right. Like this was like, it seemed really blunt and weird and you're like, she's like, pay me for stuff and I'm like, girl, you owe it to her, not the other way around. But I think what she's trying to be like is like, can we go back to her the way things were?
Can we just go back to our old dynamic where like, you bought me stuff, you brought me, you bought me food last time. You keep paying for food. Like let's do it again. Let's go back to our old patterns. I think that's what she really means. But it comes off like the audacity of this bitch, which they have in common. They have in common. And little mom's like, I'm so confused about what's happening right now. She's like, aren't you the one that's mad at me? Like what the fuck?
Like you told me to never see you again. I don't understand what's going on right now. And big nuns trying to play it off. She's like mad about what? Why would I be mad? I don't understand cuz she's just, she's like, let's just get back to the part where everything was good. Let's not process. Let's just jump to the gun stuff and little nuns like OK, I thought you were mad because you said I never want to fucking see your face ever again.
That sounds pretty angry to me. I don't know about you, but that's that's pretty fine all sounding. And big nuns like, well, buy me food and we'll forget that ever happened. Does that sound? Good and little boy. Is rightfully like she looks away right And rightfully is like this is a bullshit like what is this thought dating older women would be better than this? What is this? Dating older women who have emotional intelligence, that's the key little nun. You missed that part.
You didn't. Vet this woman. Just because they're older does not mean they're better. No, no, you were just like hot and that was as far as your thought process. Went but it's. Like now you're getting to know her. She's trying, she's just fumbling. This is all new for both of you. So. So Nung. But Nung can. Solve all Big Nung can solve all this by just apologizing, but of course you can't do that cuz that would be admitting she was
wrong. So she takes this apologizing without apologizing thing one step further and she's like OK fine, you don't have to buy me food. Let's go way back to our first dynamic where I'm the artist and you're the customer and why don't you buy this portrait I did for me And it's like none. You were so close, girl. You're so close. You, you don't ask the girl to buy it from you. You give it to her as the apology gift like. Seriously. Girl. Like you can't ask her for
money. That's basically what you're doing right now. Ma'am, why was none of this vetted past Sam before you went and had this conversation? Like, I feel like you and Sam should doesn't replay everything by Sam at this point. Actually, you know what, Scratch that. If she did talk to Sam, this would probably happen. You need to have this conversation with Mon, OK. And be like, is this how I should apologize? Because Sam would be like, you guys did that before. That sounds really great.
Whereas mom would be like, absolutely not Sam, if you tried to get me to apologize to you, by me, by you. Shit, that's so fucked up. Like, yeah, Sam, definitely. Would have gone along with it, especially Sam in the gap world. Oh my God, this would. Actually this might. Have gone worse if Sam was involved. Bring bring talk to Mon next time. OK, Mon's been through it. Mon's seen all the mistakes expert. Correct, Mon can speak from the stalker brain. She can she.
Absolutely can she can understand some of this and prevent you from doing whatever this is? But anyway, regardless, clearly they didn't talk off screen. So here we are. But little Nung is like, OK, she accepts the portrait cuz she's like, I'm pretty sure that's a drawing of me cuz she doesn't see it. It's like tied up. And she's like, if this is what I think it is, you drew a portrait of me and I didn't sit for it. So I want to see where this is going. Cuz now I'm, I'm intrigued.
And she's like, OK, let's go get coffee. So she takes her out to get coffee. And then little Nung, who has the emotional intelligence in this relationship, puts together what Nung is actually trying to communicate with the gift. And she's like, OK, so this is a portrait of me. So clearly I was stuck in your brain and you were thinking about me nonstop for three days, right? And. Big nung is like. Says nothing, which means yes.
And basically. Big Nung in this conversation clears up the fuckery where she's like, all right, look, I was upset that you were gonna give up on courting me. And she's like, next time you're mad at me, don't say it like that, OK? That's 'cause she says very plainly, like you broke the you said we're gonna break the promise. That's what I'm mad about. If you're just mad at me, don't say it like that next time 'cause I I took what you said to heart and it broke my heart
basically. And then finally. Finally, we spell out the fact that Sam is my biological sister and you were jealous of her. I love the way she says this where she's like also you're jealous of my sister which is insane and Lil Mung's like. Lil Mung's like you're. Wait, you're like same parents? And she's like, yes, my biological sister because they use that terminology of like sister as like a friend. That's why she's. That's why she's like, wait a minute, wait a minute.
So there's no more misunderstanding. You mean friend or your actual sister? And I was like my biological younger sister. So she had, she's like, OK, good, 'cause I don't want any more, more misunderstandings. Great. She's like, no wonder you guys are so beautiful and close and Oh my God. I thought it was that. If it was like a step sister or something, they could still end up together. No, no, no. It's the it's the language like Auntie, OK. Sister. Yeah, I'm still not used to it.
It's OK, It's fine. It's it's just different. And so like, again, kudos to little Nun being like. You're related, right? I was like. Yeah, it's we're. Related she's like thank. God. And then if you notice in the rest of the conversation, little Nung is back to her, confidence comes back and she's much more bubbly again. She's like thank God I don't have to compete with Sam because holy fuck. Also like Nung. Why can't you be? Like she's also married.
Like, she was definitely not competition at all. Like she's married. You'll meet Mon one day, don't worry. Yeah, I was like, wait until. She meets Mon Oh my God yes they can compare stalker notes. Listen my. Biggest gripe in the show is that we did not get a conversation with Mon and little Nung swapping war stories about dating these two sisters because could you imagine that conversation? Like I just I needed that so badly. I needed them bonding cause like they're like she's a.
Fuck up too, she's let. Me tell you I needed that. Conversation between little Nung and the mom about how hot big Nung was. I also needed that conversation. Yeah, where they're like, she's like, I get it. Daughter of mine, I get it. Yeah, I don't need that with her. Chet, that would have been adorable. I needed that with the mom and the daughter. No, no, because Chet never actually. Liked it? Big no. But like, Ping Fah, she's like, I get it. She's hot.
My mom's like, yeah, I know. I got it. She's like. I've seen all of that. So let me tell you. Anyway, that would just. Be comedy gold like to have that conversation with the those two because ping pho would get. Jealous. Immediately of this and she'd be like, I can't hear any more of
this. Goodbye. Anyway. So then we get flirty little nung again and since she's like well well damn it big nung, I spent all this time crying and now it looks like a fucking panda and this is all your fucking fault. And big nung's like, what do you mean you told? Me you could sleep like when I asked you and she's like what the hell was I supposed to say? Was I supposed to say that I spent three nights crying non-stop about you?
She's like I would have no self esteem if I said that as she's saying it out loud to like big nung which was really funny. And I think that like big Nung is. Like actually kind of pleased about this because she's like, OK, this is evidence that like, you were all so upset, as upset as I was because I also couldn't fucking sleep. And like, OK, so this is more mutual than I. Like your feelings are real. You're not just saying these things to me. I think that's what she's
getting out of this. And she's like, OK, when she says she loves me, she actually means it because like, look at her. And she was upset too, you know. Yeah, and then little Nung is like. OK. I'm also really good at reading you. And you went through all this trouble like you were calling me and you came and showed up at the bus stop. You're trying to get me to make up with me. She's like, you must have missed me. A lot. Right. And Big Dong is not.
Ready to actually admit that that's what's going on. And I think that little nun can read the fact that like, that is what's going on and she's like, fine, be stubborn and don't say anything when she says that. I think little Nung means like, I know you like me, but you just won't admit it. But that's fine, that's fine, whatever, gotta start somewhere. I'll wear you down eventually. Yeah, I mean. That's. What she does that's. What she does? Audacity of this bitch.
So like the. Good little chauveurist Big Nung she is. Big Nung walks Little Nung back home because at this point little Nung's not allowed to go home by herself. I. Yes. And also, I think Big Nung likes spending more time with her and also like, wants to make she got a stalker. She's like, I wanna make sure you get home safely. There's a lot of reasons she's doing this. There's the stalker, there's. The grandmother, she can't protect her when she goes in the house. But no.
I yeah, I think. That it's very. Evident in this scene in particular that Nung hates that Big Nung hates. That. All right, so as they're, they're walking home and you know, stage five Klingon, that little Nung is, she's insisting on holding big Nung's hand. And you can see that big Nung is fidgeting cause other people are walking around in Little Nung's neighborhood. So she's like, what if this gets back to your grandmother? Like what the fuck?
Like you're holding my hand. I'm a stranger to these people. And she's trying to, like, pull her hand away 'cause she's like, this could go very poorly. But little Mung's like, Nope. And she like, clings tighter. And she's like, if you let go of my hand, I will be even more mad at you. And then you're gonna have to spend more time making me portraits when you could be making portraits to sell at
galleries. So really, it's in your best interest to just let me hold your hand and like, what an argument you. Know it's a great argument. It's Iron Clyde, honestly. Like damn. Just like the. Minute Little Nung finds out one piece of information she can use against Nung. She uses it constantly. And like, is like, I already know where this is going, Just you're gonna let me do it. Here's why. And big Nung's like, damn. And like, let's her hold her pinky.
It's just, it's so funny the way little Nung can outsmart her and she's like, damn it. Well, that's a solid argument if I ever heard one. You should be a lawyer. You know what? I feel like she could be a good lawyer. I agree. OK. But on this walk home, little we see that little Nung still feels inferior to Sam, even though like Sam's her sister. But like she sees Sam, that's who she like, really wants to be. And she's like, I wish I was born earlier.
And that's because she could have a job and money to live up to Sam because she's like, she wants to be Sam's level for Big Nung. That's why she thought they were together. She's like, OK, this is perfect. Like she needs someone of this level. And so little nuns like, but I'm not that. And that's what she needs. Yeah. I. Like the way you said that and it's not and like just Speaking of level.
So like normally when they speak of like status, it's like somebody of your status basically is what you should be going for. But I think that in this context, Little Nung doesn't know Big Nung is royalty. So to her, she sees Big Nung, she puts her on such a high pedal stool, She's like, yeah, you do deserve somebody who, like, can give you the literal world. That's how she sees Big Nung, right? Because she's just some starving artist. Like, that's what she thinks of her.
But she's like, you're so perfect. You deserve somebody who's actually who can give you money and everything. And yeah, so this is a lot about how Little Nung sees Big Nung, the way she's, like, reacting to this. Yeah. But then big I don't know what to think about this one. So Big Nung says that being grown up does not mean she will be worthy of her. And so, like, it's either you're not gonna be worthy me no matter what, or you don't have to.
Like, that's not the only way to be worthy, I think. What? She's. Saying in this is that cause think about who she almost married Was Chet right? Chet who had all the things Sam had, right? It's good family money. And why did Lil Nun, why is she in such a rush to grow up? She's like, I want to have a job and money and Big Nung is saying I don't care about any of those things. Material possessions, money, I don't give a fuck about any of that. That's not what makes me
interested in people. That's what I think. That's what she's. Saying she's like that's not and and like silently admitting that she's like, that's not why I'm hanging around you. I don't care that you don't have money. Like that's not what interests me. I want more than that. Something money can't buy, basically. Yeah, that's that was one. Of the reads. Yeah, OK. So then little nuns like what can I do to be worthy and. Big nung.
Admits that she isn't the type of person to like someone easily gets. She's just not used. To letting her walls down and. With the random. Confidence that little Nung possesses. She takes this to mean that Big Nung can only love her and I. Love that like at these times. She's just like, oh, OK, yeah, that means you can only love me. Like that means I'm the only person. OK, fine. I'm worthy. I think it's in her brain.
She's like, well, I'm gonna prove that I'm worthy of you, so therefore you will only love me once I do that. And I think it's interesting that she asks her directly, what can I do to be worthy of you? I don't know that anybody ever asked that or, or like, I don't think anyone's ever asked her that. Because remember it back in the first episode with Chet before the wedding where she's like, why are you worthy? Like she asks Chet, why do you
think you're worthy of me? And then he starts listing reasons I this is this is somebody who's never asked her. Like, what can I do to be seen as worthy to you? That's what little Nung is really asking. I'm like, I don't think anybody's ever asked her that before because they assume you're the Princess. I would need to have all these things on paper to even talk to you. Right. And like, this is the first person who's ever, like, no, tell me. Tell me what you actually want.
Which is true, Yeah. 'Cause like what does big nung want? What does she value? Right, because little. Nung in this conversation assumed those things where she's like money, a job, being grown up and big. Nung's like, no, that's not what I value. So she's asking what do you value then? What can I, how can I meet that? What do you want? And then little Nung tries. To hug Big Nung and like it, this is very funny. The way that she does it. Big Nung just like pushes her
head away. That's funny. And then the next. Conversation. We get big? Nung asks why little Nung doesn't have any friends. Like so we go. From something cute and now we're going to something pretty sad. So little Nung says that all her friends are terrified of a grandmother. Because I would be too, but because the grandmother would go on a rampage at school when she got bad grades because she
blamed the friends. And then throughout the conversation, Little Nung says that her grandmother is so afraid of her ending up like her mother. And she says it's. Because her mother didn't have good friends and this is so funny once you know episode 4 that's it is funny that she's telling this two big nung. I just love it. I just the grandmother. Hated nung the whole time. Yep. She's never liked Nung. I don't know if she. Will fully ever will? No, I don't think so.
I think she tolerates. Her sorry, tolerate music. But of course. The grandmother was summoned by this and comes out of the house. Thanks. Oh damn it, that. Sounds gonna be stuck in my head. It's been stuck in my head the whole time because. It's so relevant just to all of these fucking seats. OK. You keep making me lose my place now. I'm sorry. I'm sorry.
She starts interrogating Big Nung and A. Little Nung. Immediately and so easily lies and says that big Nung was just asking for directions. Like it comes out immediately, like the. I'm sorry the words. Is just, she does it so nonchalantly lying. And that's what she's learned to do. And that's a it's terrible that she has this skill at this point because she needs it to survive. Yeah. And I think in this.
Scenario it's it was less motivated by her, like repercussions on her end from the grandmother. I think she's trying to protect Nung from her grandmother and she's like, no, no, I don't know this person. She's, this is a stranger obviously 'cause she didn't want her grandmother to start interrogating Nung, which is unfortunately exactly what happens because this lie unravels immediately. And I think that the fact that this lie unravels is just proof to the grandmother that this
person is a bad influence. Cuz why is my perfect granddaughter lying to my face in front of you? Like I think this already puts Nung in a bad position, not that she was ever in a good position with the grandmother, but immediately, cuz she's like, my daughter's, my granddaughter's lying. This, who are you? Why? Why are you a bad influence on her? And she doesn't know.
That little nun can hold her own right now because she doesn't know that she actually has more power than her grandmother. Yeah, no. Exactly, and what's really fucked up too is that Lil Nung lies immediately. She's like this person was asking me for directions and the grandmother looks at her and goes I'm not asking you.
And to me that when once the grand, the way the grandmother like turns on little Nung and like says that with just like vitriol, I think that's when warning morning bells went off in Nung's brain because she's witnessing first hand what little Nung's home life is like. And she's like, uh oh, this is fucking toxic. I've seen this film before.
Hell, I've lived this film. And I think she's genuinely worried about Little Nung's well-being just from this piece where she's like, uh oh. I should have let you move in with. Me when you asked. Yeah, she's. Like, well, shit. And yeah, so. Basically. Big Nung says that she is Little Nung's friend and the grandmother bitterly says that a person of Big Nung's age can't be friends with Little Nung, but that she also doesn't need any
friends. And this is just another way for her to keep Little Nung under her control 'cause if she doesn't have people in her life who know better then for her to be treated this way, then Little Nun can never get out of the situation 'cause she doesn't. No, she doesn't have the influence in her life to say you don't have to go through this. Yeah, that is such a. Perfect point, I know notes on that. I just want to add that the. Comment that like. You guys can't be friends.
Look at the age gap is a is a foreshadowing of just like the issue that the age gap is going to have between the two of them with like the people in their lives and which was what big Nung was afraid of. And so she's like seeing it now. She's like, this is gonna be bad if we keep doing this. And then the other thing that she sees or is witnessing is when the grandmother is basically berating Nung. If you look at little Nung standing next to her, look at her body. Language.
She's like eyes down, making, not making eye contact with anybody. She looks like she's shrinking into herself. She looks terrified and her confidence is gone. Like the thing that big Nung loves most about her is disappears when she's standing next to her grandmother. And I think that infuriates Nung on some level. That Little Nung is just, like, clearly being overshadowed by this person. And it's just like a shell of a human being, like, this big, bubbly thing that makes her happy.
And she's like, oh, hell no. I don't think she likes any of this. She's very pissed off on Little Long's behalf. But she's playing the game of, like, watching this play out, not disrespecting the grandmother when, like, you should have slapped her. Yeah. But she knows exactly how this
girl feels right now. And little Nung then tries to hide the drawing that Big Nung made of her because like, it didn't end well last time, but the grandmother finds it and then tears it up in front of them. And it's like the most aggressive way. And then the grandmother. Says that Big Nung to Big Nung that she isn't worthy of being Little Nung's friend. And it's such a great contrast from the ending of the previous episode because now it's put on Big Numb to think like, oh shit,
am I not? I mean, obviously we don't believe the grandmother. She's been through this before. She knows not to let the grandmother's ideal ideation get to her, but it's still putting in the fact that. She isn't seen. As someone who's worthy of little Nung and that was never really put into question before. Also. Go ahead.
I was gonna say just. Back-to-back to the tearing up of the drawing thing, the reason she's pissed off and why she does it so aggressively is she says, I thought some guy was doing all this to flirt with my granddaughter, but now it was you who is weirdly fixated on my granddaughter so much that you're drawing all these portraits.
That's what she's mad about, like implicating that they've been hanging out for quite some time and she's just like, again, she's being lied to and like didn't know anything about this. So I think she feels threatened by knowing a little bit, and she's not. Allowed to have friends so I think she's just. Well, I was disobeyed, disrespected. I think she feels humiliated in this moment and that's part of why she's doing this.
Yeah, and this is the first. Time that Big Nung is actually seeing Little Nung's grandmother in action and the trauma this like the trauma that this has to be bringing up for Big Nung and 'cause she's basically having to relive her past through this moment right now. And honestly, I am super impressed that she didn't even run. But she's not, she's not the flight response. She is the fight. Definitely in traumatic situations. But I'm impressed that she
didn't. Run away or curl up into a ball and have a panic attack. I know that's probably just because that's how I would deal with things, but she. Just kept. Herself calm. And just as an. Outsider in this moment and I maybe it's because she was able to remove herself from her own situation that she's just kind of like trying to distance herself to one not get hurt anymore with this type of relationship and. Two, she's just. Like she needs to get it out of her system.
I think also. From Big Nova's perspective, she also has experience with this and so with experience, how did she handle things with her grandmother? We get flashbacks. She stood there and took it. It was quiet. So I think part of her is regressing back into that behavior that I need to just be stoic as fuck and I can't look weak to this person. I think that's one piece. The other piece is that what's different is she has something to lose now.
Like whatever she like, she could yell back, 'cause if this was her grandmother, she would fight and engage, right? But she. Doesn't because she's. The outsider #1 but #2 it's because anything she does, the repercussions will not affect her. They're going to affect Little Nung. And so this is a form of protecting Little Nung by just being quiet. And she gets her revenge later. But she's like, now is not the time because anything I do is just going to infuriate this woman.
And if this was my grandmother, she would then take it out on Little Nung. So I think that's partially why she's being so quiet here. She's like trying to protect Little Nung. One thing I wanted to bring up too back to the painting, the painting being ripped up. I the like the every time I watch this, this painting being like ripped up or the portrait or whatever, I always think like it's super fucked up that Lil Nong paid for that because she.
Lost it to me like she paid big nun for that big nun. Give her the money back. For that, that was, you know, did we really? See her give. Her, the money she. Pays her at the. End like there's money involved. Yeah, I think she pays her for it because that was part of the deal. So I was like. She got. Gypped in all the. Ways at the scene. Poor little nun, she'll make up for it. Later in life for sure. OK.
So then they go back into the house and the mother's, the grandmother is just continuing to yell at little Nung and she is appalled that little Nung got herself close to a poor looking nobody stranger. Grandmother, you're in for rude awakening soon and I can't wait. Yes. So. Little Nung says Arnung and the grandmother immediately starts hitting her and freaking out, asking if she wants to be like her mother 'cause she's like calling her auntie. Like what?
What is going on? She's just not like this. Relationship and it's just a friendship right now. But like this? Woman like. One this woman. Has anger issues that she needs to learn to control like this anger management if not therapy like something and two how? Does little Nung know? If she wants to be like her mom or not like she doesn't know her so how is she like Maybe she does want to be like her mom. She. Definitely wants to be. Exiled. Right now, absolutely.
And then the grandmother. Asserts more control over her and tells little nung that she will no longer be going to tutoring school. And I'm just like laughing like I'm very good. I mean that was her freedom but like she never won anyway. And that she's going to pick her up and drop her off at school from now on. And it's just to create more control over her and. Means she's constantly. With her grandmother in any free time, right? And that's why.
Little no bawls her eyes out at the end of this because she just lost all of her freedom and she's like, and that was my me time. I have no me time. She's gonna be trapped in this house now and like she's like, I'll never see big Nug again. Like like, fuck, I just got her back. So she just lost everything. She lost her safe space, her freedom, and she's being trapped like a child and it's fucked up. But the reason? We're here is. Because little nung is. Paying. For her mother's crimes.
That's the fucked up shit about this. This is all generational trauma. She's paying for what her mother did, and her grandmother is being even more strict because again, she feels like the grandmother feels like she was responsible for little Nung's mother going astray. And so she's trying to make up for this past failure on her part, this familial humiliation, by doing literally everything she can to control little Nung and make her the best girl
possible. She's like, you're in a, you know, be the best at school and like never do anything bad and you're not gonna meet any boys so that you can't get pregnant. No girls either because your mother had horrible female friends. Apparently you never. Did you meet? These friends ever like how did you not anyway I guess she never met Nung because how did she not know that was her like anyway. 'Cause I mean the mom.
Recognizes her immediately later, but like so I guess they never she never met these friends. She's just like, she had friends that were terrible and I never met them, but whatever. And so because of this, like the grandmother. Treats little Nung like a child even though she's a 20 year old adult. She's a 20 year old adult. She forbids this woman from having any friends, isolates her against her will and stunts her social development, is traumatizing this woman.
And it's just all in the name of preventing a teenage pregnancy. And so little Nung ends up being in the scene, the Princess locked away in the tower, like there goes her actual freedom that she had the the ability to socialize with people and like come into her adulthood. And I think the the grandmother's pissed because she was unaware that little no one was having this whole life with that she wasn't a part of. And she's like, fuck, I'm not controlling her.
I will then get under lock and key because like again, if you get too much freedom, you're going to be like your mother and your father. We're both terrible at your age. And so you know. And. I think. Part of what? The grandmother. 'S so threatened about when, when she's like what she calls Nung Auntie Nung, because that's an admission. They're close. Like she's close enough to call this older woman auntie, not
like Kun or whatever. And she's like, fuck, you guys are that close that you're on that level. So I think the grandmother's threatened by the fact that she was completely unaware that her granddaughter was forming a real bond with somebody else all on her own, outside of her control. And for little Nung, that's what she loves about it. It's like, this is mine, right? It's like the Taylor Swift's not the best thing that's ever been mine. She finally has something that's hers outside.
Of her grandmother. 'S control and I think that's why she fights so fiercely for this relationship with Big Nung. She finally has something good that's just hers that's not being controlled. And and with that, the relationship is blossoming into something real and beautiful. And she's like, the minute her grandmother gets control of it,
it's like dead like that. That is so humiliating for little Nun. This moment was absolutely humiliating what her grandmother just did and just demoralizing because she's like, I can't have my own life. It's just, it's terrible. It's. Terrible her. Her grandmother is threatening to end her one piece of happiness that's private. And it's just, it's too much for her and she just. You know, has every right to be. Wildly upset about this. And yes, like again. They have a complicated
relationship. Her grandmother does love her in a twisted way, in the same way that the Grand Man loves Nung, right? And I think that little Nung loves her too. That's part of what makes this
so complicated. But again, this is one of the it's a generational gap thing where like the older generation values like the social status and security and all that shit above the individual happiness, which is the same conflict that the Grand man and all of her granddaughters were having in gap and also with Nung. And like, that's why big Nung fled the palace. She's like, fuck, no, me, not
you. And she left and and like little Nung is too young to really and has no power to do any of that here. So she's like, she's just trapped. It's horrible. Just big nung is. Take her and run away to the Isle of Lesbos. I know this whole thing is about like not running away and fight facing up to everything and trying to make things better, but like run away to the Isle of Lesbos. Just go.
You and Sam. Sam will buy it, you'll live rent free and you'll be happy ever after with a bunch of lesbians. And you know who's also? There. Jim, let's be real, Jim's divorced at this point and totally scoring on the Isle of Lesbos right now. You can go star in her show The Sex Life of College Girl where Jim is living it up on the Isle of Lesbos The sex. Life of college, gym just. Jim. So that's what Jim's doing off screen. She's.
At the aisle of this all right, so meanwhile, while this is all going out, little nun, big nun gets home and she's big mad, OK. So here's a woman who's never. Cared what anybody's ever thought about her, ever. And truly. I don't think she really cares about what Lil Nung's grandmother assumes about her, but she does care that her presence in Lil Nung's life as the starving artist is putting her in danger of her grandmother's wrath. And now she's. Like, oh, this old bitty is in
the way of my happiness? Absolutely not, because I just got a piece of what that's like. You're not taking that away from the old lady. So I think. Nung. Knows. And she does this, she contemplates for like a hot minute in this apartment in her like anger. And I think that she knows that if she was doing what her grandmother wanted and lived as her best ML life, this interaction would have gone very differently if she showed up as the Queen, right? But because she shows.
Up in her lesbian attire at the grandmothers, like would never have believed her. If she was like, I'm the queen, she'd be like absolutely fucking not. You're not straighter and shouldn't get out of here. But like no I. If this person showed off I'd be like I'll bow down to you. Like whatever you want, ma'am. But the grandma of this? Grandma, the grandma and this woman are not on that, not on our level of big nun worshipping. So it doesn't go down like that.
But also like big nun, she doesn't want to go back to that life. She doesn't want the ML title. She wants her freedom in the same way that little nun wants her freedom and she wants to make her own her life on her own. So she's like, OK, let's, but she's also a petty bitch. Like little nun. She's like, well, not beneath using it to crush you.
I think it's very. Sweet that she decides in this moment in her apartment that she's gonna use the last card she has, which is her ML status to benefit Little Nung yet again because she knows by revealing that she will get Little Nung out of trouble cuz her grandmother is obviously a social ladder climber. She's like this. This is. Big Nung's. Draw for Uno card literally. No, it is, and this is a card she would never consider playing for anybody else.
She only does it for Little Nung, and that speaks to the depths with which she cares about her because she's willing to go back, because again, who's going to? And so she recruits Chet to basically go to the Centennial event. And why does she do that? The place she knows her grandmother's going to be, because she cares a lot about Little Nong. She's willing to risk her own humiliation and confrontation with her grandmother, who she's avoiding to get this girl out of
trouble. And so basically, like, she takes Chet's card and she's like, you want to go, old lady? Let's fucking go. And she's like, basically like, I'll show you how worthy of your granddaughter I am. No one fucking tells me I'm not worthy, bitch. And then kudos. To Faye, 'cause she conveyed all of that on saying a goddamn word she said. Nothing, but they are got all of that from it. That's what she said. Good job Faye, hydrate for that.
So let's get to. The start of the most intense brain melting event I have ever seen. Let's do it. All right, we're. At the I still have not. Learned the name of. This event 100 year celebration of the school existing basically Centennial. Event like happy birthday school. You're 100. And Lil. Nung's teacher.
I'm assuming it's to her teacher is talking with her and her grandmother and saying that little Nung has great grades and she was not going to have any problem getting into it any university that she has so many choices and her grandmother says that she's probably going to study medicine. Because you know little Nung. Has no choice when her grandmother is involved and the teacher is like, well, the world's more open now and she might not even have to be a doctor. Little Nung would be.
I love how she says little Nung would be more fun if she can do what she loves. I don't know if that's just translation that's a translation, or if it. So like. Basically, little Nung would have more. Fun be. Yeah. Have more fun, be happier, be more herself. Like she'd be more fun because she'd be doing what she wants. And as you can imagine. The grandmother loves hearing this. Loves it, Yeah. And but yeah. She was like. Oh yeah, little Nung has a
choice. Woo, no. Does she even know her granddaughter? I don't even think she does. No, not at all. Because she says medicine is what she will enjoy. You know? OK, I'm, I wish we had a scene where there was like, blood and like little Nung passed out or something. Because that would make this even better. And. Once the grandmother leaves, walks away from this conversation, we find out that little Nung already confided in this T-shirt that she wants to study communication arts.
So this teacher was a safe space in the sense that little Nung was able to say what she actually wanted. And that's not something she's able to say to obviously, to her grandmother because she'd probably get hit. And I'm. So glad that. This teacher pushed back on the grandmother and tried to help Lil Nung out a little bit by trying to open the grandmother's mind to other possibilities. Yeah, I I wonder if.
This is I'm pretty sure that this is a dynamic 'cause this is that this teacher has seen before, because this is a school you need to have big money to go to. So it's a lot of. Again, the social elites who are obsessed with maintaining their social status or climbing higher by marrying above their station or like being successful in
business or whatever. So I'm sure she's seen this dynamic where the parents are like my, my child is doing this and this the student is like, I don't want to do this. I want to do that. And it's like the students in the society are stuck deferring to their parents. So I'm sure she's seen this a bunch of times and it's probably like. What are we doing? Everyone. We're making these kids unhappy.
You know, that probably breaks her heart, you know, as an educator who, you know, educators love their kids. That's, you know, why they're there. So, you know, it's gotta be hard breaking for her. She knows that she's limited in what she can do and like she also can't anger these people because they are paying to go there and like that's what they rely on. So it's a very fine line that I think the teacher was very respectful in how she handled it.
That's not the focus of. The show, but I'm curious to see like a show portray that and have the teacher fight harder back for the student and with that dynamic would be over there. But that's definitely not what the show would do. Definitely not, but that would be. Really interesting. I agree, that'd be a good. Concept for like. 23.5 Even though that show's happier. But like that setting. That kind of setting like a. Hard stop. I also have not finished that show. The aura. Almost.
There the hell we have. Time to film. It No, we have no. Time. There's too much. Yeah, OK. And then I. Thought the scene was over I'm. Sorry, almost. Little Nung tells the. Teacher that she just didn't want to cause any arguments because let's be real, she's over it. She's not gonna willingly tell the grandmother anything because who knows what she will say that will result in her getting hit.
Yeah. So it's a shitty situation she's in in general, but here she's like, I'm trying to, she's trying to balance like what makes her happy and what makes her grandmother happy. And it's like the grandmother's winning. Like balance is not happening right now. It's really fucked up and sad. But don't worry little Nung, your. Knight in shrining armor is on her way. And so Big Nung bust into the Centennial event with Chet 'cause she roped him into her revenge plan.
And they arrived together and Big Nung immediately spots Little Nung across the room. And like, insert dress by Taylor Swift, right? Secret moment in the crowded room. They don't know about me and you. That's what's about to start. This is the start of dress, right? It's happening. And like, OK, why? Why you got that dress, Nung? Why you got that dress? Well, Sam bought it this dress. Only so. Little. Nung could take it off. Correct, Sam. Sam has lived dress.
She understands it. She's like I, I know where this is headed. Let me just swift you up a bit. Here you go. You'll thank me later. Sister of mine. That's literally what's happening and Big Nung has big tunnel vision. When she sees Little Nung, she's not paying attention to anything. So the minute she sees her, she's just like, OK, you're safe and you look pretty and Oh my God. And like she doesn't see anything. Like Chad's saying something and she's like doesn't even acknowledge him.
She's like whatever man that I literally used you to get the invite into this thing. He fucks off and does something and Big Nung does not care 'cause she's only staring at Lil Nung and Lil Nung is gay panicking because holy fucking shit does Big Nun clean up real nice. Cuz like she's never seen her in anything but the artist lesbian get up and then here she is in this stunning gown plus off the shoulders gown and she's like Oh my Lord, I knew you were hot but
I had no idea you were this hot. There's a lot of skin. A lot of skin. Is on display because this is a dress you buy, so someone takes it off. Sam knew that when she bought the dress. You shouldn't have let Sam buy the dress. Sam was like, OK. But just what would? Taylor Swift do she's in the store. She's like, what would Taylor Swift do? And then she buys this dress. Good job, Sam. And big. Nung greets the teacher and then greets little Nung and she's like where's your where's your
grandma at? That's why I'm here. I'm like where's where's that bitch? I'm going to fight her and little Nung is having so much gay panicking right now. Her brain cells aren't working and she's like. Like she can't even put a sentence together. She's like, she's like, this is that way. She's so starstruck. She's like, you're so hot. I know what. To do right now and hydrate for little nung in the scene cause good Lord can you blame her? Can you blame her?
We did that with. Phase Social media. I how she has. Some of these scenes with her without dying on the spot I don't understand like. Yoko is God's. Strongest soldier is all I'm saying, 'cause like, Oh my God, OK, this scene, OK, so after she's like that way, I don't know. Basically she. We get the confrontation. OK, the the the grandmother shows up. So who's in the room? It's Big Nung in her Taylor Swift dress. It's the grandmother.
Little Nung and then the. Teacher, there's a chaperone, OK, Just don't forget that you can't full out brawl, right? But we're brawling in society, polite society. That's what's happening here. And it's entertaining. So the grandmother's like throwing all kinds of shade. She's like, who let the trash in basically, is what she's saying. And the big nun Nung just takes it. And the teacher's like, oh, no, she went to the school. She was like, literally perfect. We still talk about you.
It's been 20 years and we're still like, this is the best student that ever graced this hall in the 100 years that it's existed. And the grandmother's like, that's weird. Also, how'd you get that dress? Oh, you must have been a scholarship student, which is fucking shade where she's basically saying oh, you're you're poor, but you tried. So hard to not. Be poor. Look at you, you're poor, is what she keeps saying. And.
Then Chet shows. Up because he was doing whatever and then he finally shows up and he's like, what do you mean? No, you don't need to buy that dress. I got money, Sam. Sam bought it for a fuck. She didn't buy that dress. She's like you, you, you know, intellectual people. You don't got to buy that dress. What do you mean? And the grandmother's tune of one 80s and she's like Oh my God, Chet blah. Blah blah blah because this bitch is.
Shamelessly one of those people that is obsessed with social power and just niceties and playing those politics, which is fine if you're into that, but she's very shameless about it and nung who's seen this film before and grew up in this environment is like got it I might she's just savoring it She's like this is gonna be so sweet when you find out who I am because good Lord, ma'am, this is gonna be I knew you were a a a bitch and then here we are let's just.
Let's just, let's just, she's just savoring this. She's like. The death blow is gonna be great. But I live in the scene that like these. Two then the the grandmother's like fawning all over Chet and this is a couple of cuts between like the Nungs and they're both like eye rolling and they're like oh God, he's not that great. We we know him. They're like and but little Nung is like you came with Chet my competition. How dare you. Also, she's not thrilled about
this piece. I don't care how hot you look, this is fucked up. And then it comes the. The teacher who's oblivious to all the subtle politics happening in this room, It's like, Oh my God, are you guys getting back together? Like Chet and Nung is the at the 100th year birthday party? Oh my God, let's call it a historian. I think you're gonna get married, right? Now. Right dude, to get married. At this event that will get all the donors to give us money 'cause this is a donor
fundraising party. That's really what this is. So. She's like playing it. Up to the big donors, basically. Which girl you gotta eat? I don't blame you, but. The grandmother doesn't hear. Any of that and she's like, wait a minute, wait a minute, the son of the former Prime Minister dated the street urgent. Like why? Yeah. Why Grandma? She's not. She's. As bad at math as her granddaughter. She can't put the things together. OK, but you know who does put it together? The grand man.
Cause the grand man walks in with Sam. And when I look up at the initial. Exchange between everybody is that nobody is having the same, they're not having the same conversation. Nobody is on the same page in the scene. So the Grand Am shows up right and Sam is there and Sam is looking at Nung and she's like, damn, I'm so good for buying that dress. I knew you'd look hot and that thing. And you came to the event and. Took my advice, I'm such a good sister.
Then the grand. Man. This is. Everybody's inner monologue. Then the grand man was like finally my eldest granddaughter came to a proper event, brought a proper date and is making me proud. Cut to Chet. Chet is like yes my future in laws are here so I can prove myself worthy. Big nun. Oh fuck, I forgot they were gonna be here. And little nun what? The fuck is going on? Who are these? People. Oh yeah, 'cause little nun has no idea. She doesn't know who she is, and she knows.
She's like, she doesn't know who Sam is. She's a wait a she's like, oh, wait a minute, is that Sam? That's the grandmother? Did I just hear an ML title? And the little Long's grandmother, She's like, all I heard was the title and she's like, wait a minute, wait a minute. Sidebar. With the Queen. Hey Grandma, why do you know the street Urgent. I don't understand. How do you know her and the? Grandma. That's just when shit hits the fan.
The grand mom's like, how fucking dare you call her a street urchin? That street, that street urchin is my eldest granddaughter, ML Sipicorn. How fucking dare you. And I love this scene. Because. Again, I think Nung forgot. They're gonna be here. Let's be real. She has television. She forgot about this. She's like, oh, fuck, my grandma's here. But what? I love about this.
Is that the? Grandmother the grand man, without hesitation defends Nung, because again, in society she has to do this to assert her power. But I think. Nong looks really happy, like if they cuts to her and she does look happy that her grandmother seems to care about her. Like despite the rift between them because these two do still love each other. They're just having a quarrel over like differences of ideology. But they this is like her
grandmother standing up for her. And I think that means a lot to Nong. Like on a personal level, they're just. Both they're. Both stubborn as fuck. That's the problem. They inherited that trait. They share that trait to each other, you know, And the grandmother thinks that. She's actually coming around to the lifestyle 'cause she showed up with a man and here she is. Well, the grandma's gonna get a rude awakening soon. Well, first we have to. Take out Lil Nun's grandmother first.
So the final nail in the coffin for Lil Nun's grandmother is when? Nung cause. This Nung's like this is exactly what I wanted to have him. Nung's looking at her and she's like she basically says like, you know, don't worry, grandmother of mine, I don't come like coming to these events. So she probably just didn't know who I is, who I am. And the grandmum's like absolutely not fucking nonsense. Everybody should know who you are.
Just look at you and she's like, well, she's like how, How could somebody look at you and like think you were low class or whatever and like. Well, Nung's grandmother, the new. Color is draining from her face and she's like oh fuck, I done fucked up big time, big time. And big nung is. Like well, my grandmother did not teach me to be a show off and this is the closest thing she comes to gloating directly to little Nung's grandmother and like that. Was it she?
Couldn't she? Couldn't take the final blow from Nung who's like look at me now bitch, who's not worthy 'cause that's her motivation. This shows. Little Nung's grandmother, like you, should be treating everybody with kindness no matter who they are 'cause you never know who they are. Yeah, no, exactly. She won't learn that lesson. But you know, that's what she does not learn that. That's what Big Nung is trying
to teach her, but she does not. All she takes away from this is, Oh my God, my granddaughter's friends with the queen. That's what she takes away from this. I done humiliated our whole family. And so because of the humiliation, she basically almost faints, right, 'cause she just completely insulted the royal family, which is like a huge social. That's the first thing, you know, in social contract, don't you know it's illegal to make fun of them?
So she's like, oh fuck, I'm gonna get jailed. So which Nung would never, I mean, she could, but she wouldn't. So Nung and big the big the nungs basically cart her off. They're like, come on, let's go. You need to sit down 'cause you're about to die. I don't want you to die. I just wanted to humiliate you. And. Which I and I love that you
brought up that lesson. Basically Caitlyn is like hey, don't judge people 'cause we get this flashback in this whole or fuckery with Chet and Nung when they're when Nung was making the plan for the revenge plan and she's. Telling the story to. Chat where basically the grandmother misjudged her basically. And she's like, I don't, I don't. Understand why why people judge each other based on appearances.
She's like that's really boring. Like what a fucking boring thing to do. Like get to know somebody before you judge them. And to me that's why again, that's why she likes little Nung so much 'cause little Nung fell for her be because she didn't do this. That's why big Nung likes her so much. She's like, she likes me for who I am, that first person ever. And I think a lot of the hesitation for her to really tell Little Nung who she was is she didn't want to alter their
relationship. Because the minute her title comes out, look at how people treat her. Look what the grandmother does immediately. Like Big Nung goes to help her when she's like, falling. And she's like, no, don't touch me, I'm sorry. Like her countenance completely changes and she's suddenly a different person. And I think Big Nung was afraid that Little Nung was gonna start treating her differently, which they go have a conversation and it's clear that that's not
what's gonna happen at all. And I think that's a relief to Big Nung. But OK, so. OK, big nuns are off screen helping the grandmother sit down or whatever. And that leaves the Grand Man Chet and Sam and Sam's like Chet, what the fuck are you doing here? Basically? And he's. Like Oh yeah, I know. I came with your. Sister and. The Grandnam. Starts putting this together.
She's like, all right, so I see that my grand, my granddaughter is still a smart human being just like I taught her great because she was smart enough to come to this event, look off fans regal and shit and bring a proper date. That's real great. I hope you're getting back together and Chad's like, yes, I hope that too. And then he says in this conversation or it starts putting up rainbow flags in the grandmother's head where he says, you know what's real weird?
I'm kind of like envious of this child because big nong put in a big amount of effort into like coming here and doing all this shit just for her and that's I've never seen her do that before. I think the grand man's like what? The fuck? I think she's like God damn it. I'm getting Sam and song flashbacks and then she's like, well, maybe if you wife her I won't have to worry about this. And Chet's like I'm working on it, I'm working on it. Love that everyone's trying to.
Marry off Nung without her consent. That's what a great way to win Nung's approval back. It's a good job guys. Let's repeat history. You're doing great. We're doing great. We've learned nothing over the past however many years It's been. Great job, everyone. The best way to fix things is by not changing. It's great. Wonderful. Speaking of things that never change. So the the little the nuns go off screen, the little nuns.
So the little nuns. The. The nuns, they go off screen and they like slip away from the crowd to have like a moment basically. So they're semi alone. They're still in public but they're semi alone and little Nung is like Oh my God, this is the best surprise ever. She's like, first of all, you're a Princess, which is cool, but more importantly that dress like that's what. She's fixated. On she's like, you look really beautiful today. Oh my God, best gift ever. Is this visual?
So I I love that. Because it's again, confirmation to Big Nung that she's like, it's not gonna change dynamics between them. And I loved it. What little Nung says is she's like, I knew I loved the right person. She's like, see, you're exceptional. Just like I thought already thought, I'm not really changing my thoughts about you, which I think is really important. That's what Big Nung didn't like, was afraid it was gonna happen.
And then, of course, with she's on her high horse, she's like, he came here to fight my grandmother. You look real hot. I love you. I'm just. Gonna say it in this in my school, it's like girl, your teacher's over there. What do you mean? And the teacher's cool. And tears don't give a fuck. But big Nung is like you keep using this word. What do you mean by love? What do you mean? But they're in public. And now's not the time to go through this.
So she's like, we need to get out of here 'cause you're gonna give away the game and we can't do this. So she takes Lil Nung back into the other room and she's like, we gotta, we gotta check on your grandmother. And I love this dig that Nung gets in and she's like, she might be dead, I don't know. By the time we get back there, I don't know. Let's go find out. Like, she's like, gives one last dig and it's so funny, like giving away her hand. She's like, I literally came
here to destroy her grandmother. Let's go see that. That's why I'm here. So big. Nung takes Little Nung's wrist right and like leads her back into the into the main hall and as a rounding a corner, the grand man shows up and totally sees this. And Big Nung is afraid of this 'cause she drops Little Nung's hand. Like I wasn't doing anything wrong. What? I don't I don't understand. And she gets real quiet because. She senses the danger. The shark is circling and Lil
Nung's right here. And so I think in this moment, she sends Little Nung away. She's like, go check in her grandmother. And Little Nung's like, wait, what? I thought. And she's like, go check on, leave me with my grandmother. You don't wanna, you don't wanna meet her. Go, go over there. I think she's trying to send her away so the grand man can't attack her the way that Little Nung's grandmother attacked both of them. She's like you've gone through this.
Enough. You do not need another one. I'm gonna spare you Get. Out of here, she's like, I'll bear it. For both of us. Literally that's what's happening in the scene. The thing she hates the most is alone time with her own grandmother. So they have. This very brief. Heated, pointed conversation that essentially boils down to nice to see you, nice to see that you remember you're a Princess. Are you coming back to the palace? Big none. Absolutely not.
That's the whole conversation. That's basically all their conversation. That's basically the conversation. And then after this interaction with. The Grand man Nung tries to leave. She's like, that was the worst. I wanna get out of here. I did what I came to do. I defeated Little Monk's grandmother. You saw me in this dress. I need to get out of here. My grandmother's here. I I don't wanna be around her because. The only reason she came?
Is to defend Little Nung. But before she can leave. A woman shows up and it's. Like. Numb my friend. And then little nung is like. Mom. And then it rudely ends but like, OK. I'm sorry how does she even know to show up? Why did she show up? We still don't have these questions answered because like she doesn't know a Nung a little Nung And how does little nung even know to recognize her mom If I mean they I guess they could video chat but they said call.
So like I guess photos photos. I think they don't have recent photos. More importantly. How does she recognize Big Nung who's not on social media? Her photos aren't everywhere. The last time you saw each other you were 16. She looks very different than she did at 16. How did she recognize Big Nung is my question. Little Nung and her mother you can kind of explain with weird familial magic but like how did she recognize big Nung instantly? That's my question. I have a theory.
What is this? So. Little Nung's mom is just a dramatic bitch and she was around the corner and listening to this entire thing. So she hears because like she heard the names probably as she's walking in. So she like hid, but like how little Nung did it and was just listening in. And so then like hearing the voices, hearing the conversation, she's like oh OK, Nung's right there and that's how she figured it out. Or I.
Like that or? Maybe when they, the two nungs are off screen, like hidden from the rest of the party, the ping fog comes in and she sees her mother who's like hyperventilating in a corner and then goes and talks to her. And then maybe it comes out that like, Oh my God, your daughter's friend's the queen or like Nung. And then she's like, I know Nung. That's the bad friend. So then when she sees older women with her daughter, she's like, that must be her. Also, Sam's there.
Who? I don't know if you knew Sam. But like, maybe, I don't know, Sam is a more of a public figure. That's how mom was stalking her. And let's be real, this woman still has a crush on Nung, so she probably was peripherally stalking Sam to see if she can get a glimpse of Nung. And so maybe she recognized Sam and also Chet who's also a public figure. She should have walked in and slapped Chet. There's not enough slapping of people who deserve it in this
show. Also like you guys are way too polite like she should have came in and be like how dare you chat and also numb and. We're about to get to it. We're about to get there. There's verbal. Slapping that goes on in the next The next episode is the episode You're never ready forever. It's just the best. I'm so glad we. Have my reaction on film. It's literally just screaming. I just made the promo for it. I'm like the first half is just literally me screaming. It's only the 1st.
Part is, it's wild. The way this goes down is just wild. So that's what you. Have to look forward to any last final thoughts about season one episode 3 before we move on, no? My brain's already in four, no? But. I think this. Song for this episode is Dress. Because. Dress, dress. Dress the dress. Over. Should it does dress, get the big energy award. Yes. No, honestly, no one's. Revenge plan against the grandmother to prove she's worthy of her soon to be
girlfriend. Has the most big gay energy I've ever seen of anything ever. The lengths she went through to be like. Yeah, that's fair. That's. Mine. Basically. Also Lil Nung's reaction to the dress. Was also great. She's like, I can't even she can't even form words. She's like, Oh my God, yeah, yeah, she's. Over there, Yeah, we'll go with that. That was so good. So. Dress. The big energy word? Everything involving that dress dog's revenge plan. Good stuff. OK.
So if you made it this far in the episode, we want to know. Here is the word that we want you to use in a comment or review without looking up how to spell it or the definition. If it's for some reason a word you don't know, this is not going to be an issue this time. Today's bonus word is orangutan. Have fun, figure out and like try to put it naturally in a comment review. Like that's that's the challenge. How are you gonna make it that word? My biggest critique of this?
Episode was the lack of orangutans. Little nun's grandmother. Was sure acting like an enraged orangutan. You're welcome, Ralphie, are something. Really help. Them. If you agree with me. Leave it in the comments and if not, until next time, keep hydrating for lesbian Jesus. You will need it for episode 4 and. Getting it up. All over the place. Bye. Bye. And with that we've been.
