Hey, this is John, and before we get started on today's episode, I wanted to let you know about our new expanded show notes. These are really cool. Understanding the BibleProject Podcast Process

Alright, here's the show. Hey, this is John. And this is Tim. We make a lot of videos here at the Bible Project, but before any videos are made or even written, Tim and I first sit down and walk through a bunch of notes that he has. These conversations were Turn into the scripts for our videos. This is one of my favorite parts of this entire process.

Things like understanding how characters work in the Bible. We talked about that in our How to Read the Bible series. For the most part, biblical narrators refrain from sermonizing or moralizing.

One theme that we did in the podcast of many is the theme of biblical justice. For the prophets, what does true justice look like? What does Mishpat and mercy look like? We get nerdy, we look at the Hebrew mindset, and we look at what these Hebrew words mean. One of my new favorite Hebrew words is Nefeh.
