Episode description

Bob Hunt begins a consideration of the timing of the events described in Daniel 9:24-27 in this verse-by-verse examination. Are these events entirely in the past? If they are, then many of the Premillennial or Futurist views of end-times stand on very shaky ground. What arguments are used to support a past tense view? How should a Futurist respond? The importance of this issue is enormous. It will impact much of a person’s understanding of the end-times. In this part one episode, Daniel 9:24 will be examined. Daniel’s Seventy weeks will be explored and an explanation of why a literal 490 years is the best way to look at this time period. The argument for symbolism will be presented (i.e., why 490 years is symbolic) followed by the literalist’s response and defense of taking the 490 years literally.
