In the debut episode of Beyond the Box, Carrie sits down with Dave, the Executive Director of S.T.E.P. by S.T.E.P., Inc. - a small, peer-run, non-profit organization located in Ogdensburg, New York. Carrie and Dave discuss the agency's twenty-five year history, how their one room Drop-In-Center has expanded to offer more community services, and how they've implemented a Community Housing Initiative. While staying true to their grassroots  mission, S.T.E.P. by S.T.E.P., Inc.. has grown from assisting only those discovering and recovering with mental illness, and now aims to  improve the mental, physical, and emotional health and well-being of every member of our community.
