After making headlines at 18 years old with a run from qualifying to the Wimbledon semifinals 1999, Stevenson rose to No. 18 in the rankings but shoulder problems deterred her career in 2002. Since then, Now 35, Stevenson checks in from an ITF tournament in Pelham, Ala., to talk with Wertheim about her life since surgery, managing her finances, what it was like to go from top 10 in the world to her current ranking of No. 545. Stevenson also discusses her current relationship with her father, Julius "Dr. J" Erving, how the unveiling of the news to the public at the age of 18 has affected her life since then and more.
