Intro / Opening

Hello beautiful people, it's Niffy here.

New Year Reflections

I know it's been so long but I've literally been ill since like mid-November and I'm just at the point now where I feel like I'm getting better. So I thought I'll just do this quick, well I want it to be a quick podcast episode just talking about the new year and I wish you guys a happy new year and I know that Friday.

Which is going to be the 17th of January is usually the time when most people give up on their new year's resolutions so I just kind of want to encourage you guys to instead of giving up on your New Year's resolutions this Friday. Maybe carry on or pick up a new one. You know, I've got a brilliant blog post on my website and it's called From Vision to Action, Turning Your New Year's Goals into Reality.

Setting Meaningful Goals

And in it, I talk about how the first couple of weeks, we are all kind of buzzing we're excited and then you know by Friday most people have lost their momentum they've lost their motivation so what I have in this blog post is just strategies that you can use to set your new year's goals and set it set it with intention and set it to align with your values and your actions and I find a lot of people also this is just more like a ramble this episode when it

comes to new year's goals they set goals that they think they should have like oh it's a new year I should join the gym I should lose weight I should take up a hobby like cooking but that might not align with what they actually want instead of going to the gym they might actually want to be better at walking or they might be better at. Runs, you know, it might not be what you have chosen as your New Year's resolution. It might not be the vehicle for the goal.

If that makes sense, let me know in the comments if that makes sense.

Embracing New Strategies

So we're stepping into the dreaded mid-January slump and why don't you just do something different this year do something different than what you've done in previous years I will put a link to the blog post in the description and I really want you guys to set realistic meaningful goals this year and you know try something new if you've set goals in previous and you've given up by mid-January, mid-February, try something new this year.

That's just my quick encouragement. So let me know your thoughts and I will catch you guys in the next episode, whatever that may be. Hopefully it's next week, but we'll see. All right. Happy New Year, guys. Bye.
