¶ Intro / Opening
Hello everyone and welcome back to Beyond Doubt Unleashing Confidence.
¶ Introduction to Reclaiming Worth
I'm your host Neffy here to guide you through another transformative conversation. Today's episode, episode 24, is all about reclaiming your worth, celebrating small wins and crushing your March goals. Now, this conversation is based on my blog post at neffywellness.com. Reclaim your worth, celebrate small wins. But we're diving even deeper to give you fresh insights, personal stories and tips.
So if you're ready to ditch self-doubt and truly embrace your unique awesomeness, stick with me till the end. Part one, checking in with your confidence. Let's get straight to it. How's your confidence doing these days? Feeling on top of the world or is that little voice in your head still whispering you're not enough? Listen, we've all been in that place where self-doubt crashes your mental space and refuses to leave. Like an uninvited house guest who's bramaging through your fridge.
Now the question is, how do we show that negativity the door? The first step, acknowledge it. It's normal to feel uncertain sometimes. Doubt doesn't mean you're weak. It simply means you're human. Second step, decide that you're worth more than the doubts. That's right, your worth is not up for debate. My tip, start each morning by giving yourself a mini pep talk. It can be as simple as I'm allowed to take up space or I deserve to go after what I want.
Because let's face it, if you don't believe in you, who will?
¶ Celebrating Small Wins
Part two, the magic of celebrating small wins. Now, let's chat about the power of small wins. You know, those seemingly tiny achievements that we often overlook. Maybe you got out of bed on time. Maybe you remembered to water your plants for the first time in a week. No judgment here, my plants are basically dying. So why do small wins matter? Well, they create a feedback loop of positivity in your brain. They help you shift your focus from what's lacking to what's happening.
I used to work with a client, let's call her Jane, who was convinced she could only celebrate once she landed her dream job. Until then she believed that every little step was no big deal. When she finally did land that dream job she told me she felt exhausted. Like all that waiting for one massive success had drained her. But when we dug into her journey she realised there'd been so many mini victories along the way.
Like when she updated her CV, completed an online course, aced a virtual interview that she never took the time to savour. If she had celebrated these mini wins, she would have felt energised instead of worn out. Lesson learned. Don't wait for the grand finale to pat yourself on the back. The journey is worth celebrating every step of the way. Poet three, a new take on the tortoise fable. You might recall the old Aesop's fable, the tortoise and the hare.
Well, in my blog post, I mentioned a 2025 remix, the tortoise and the hairdryer. Tortoise is you, steadily doing your thing the hairdryer that loud blustering negativity spouting off how you're not quick enough not good enough blah blah blah blah blah blah now we all know how the tortoise ultimately triumphs she wins by turning out the naysayers by turning up tuning out the naysayers and focusing on her own path. But let's add a twist here.
Imagine this tortoise is also wearing noise cancelling headphones, just strolling along some empowering tune, maybe a little bit of Lizzo or Queen or Queen Beyonce, completely unfazed by the scorching negativity. The takeaway, you don't have to outrun the noise, you can just ignore it. So stay in your lane and remember, slow and steady and a dash of self-celebration really does get you where you need to go.
¶ The Tortoise and the Hairdryer
Part four, the good enough goal strategy. Now let's talk about how to set goals that keep you motivated rather than paralysed. We've all experienced the excitement of fresh goals. Like I'm going to lose 10 kilograms in a month or I'm going to write the best-selling novel by next week. Only to crash and burn a few days later because it's overwhelming. Instead try my new favourite approach? The good enough goal.
One, break it down. If your ultimate aim is to write a novel, start with 200 words a day. Two, make it specific. I'll do 15 minutes of writing every morning. It's more tangible than I'll write whatever I feel inspired to because you might never ever feel inspired. Number three, celebrate partial progress. If you write 150 words instead instead of 200 one day, that's still 150 more than zero. An old mentor of mine introduced me to this concept when I was stressed now about launching my website.
I kept saying it has to be perfect. I'll launch once every single detail is flawless. Spoiler alert, that never happens. And by being good enough instead of perfect, I launched sooner, learned faster, and guess what? built confidence in the process.
¶ Real-Life Stories of Worth
Part five, real-life examples of reclaiming worth. Let's talk about a few more real-life stories, different from the ones I shared in the blog post, because I love showing how diverse and universal this journey can be. Number one, Ava's story. Ava was a brilliant graphic designer who constantly doubted her talent. She compared her work to established professionals who'd been in her field for decades.
When she landed a small freelance gig for a local bakery, she dismissed it as not that big a deal. What changed? She started documenting every piece of positive feedback she received, even if it was just a quick love it message from the breakary owner and the result over time these tiny compliments build up her belief in her abilities she went on to pitch bigger clients and is now running her own successful design agency. Number two, Leah's story. Leah was a stay-at-home mum who felt invisible.
She adored her kids, but missed feeling like an individual with dreams and goals. The turning point. She decided to celebrate every win, like making a healthy breakfast for her family or reading a bedtime story, even when she was knackered. The outcome. This consistent habit of acknowledging her value in daily life helped her realise she was making an impact.
She later enrolled in an online course, discovered a passion for teaching and now tutors other parents and how to balance family life and personal ambition. Both Ava and Leah illustrate that confidence can sprout from the most unexpected places. It's all about recognising and appreciating the little seeds of growth.
¶ Practical Tips to Boost Confidence
Part six practical tips and tools right time for some hands-on strategies to boost that confidence muscle number one emotional journaling spend five minutes a day jotting down how you feel and why why why why why you feel that way recognize patterns are there certain triggers that make you doubt yourself? Once you spot them, you can strategize how to counteract them. Number two, the high five habit. Every morning, give yourself a literal high five in the mirror.
Yes, physically, it might feel silly, but it works wonders for reprogramming your mindset to one of self-support rather than self-criticism. Three, random compliment challenge. Give yourself or challenge yourself to give three genuine compliments a day to friends, colleagues or even strangers. Encouraging others also fosters a more positive self-view. Number four, mindful minutes. Take a single minute, just 60 seconds to pause and breathe deeply.
Visualize one thing you appreciate about yourself. This quick exercise can reset a negative thought spiral into a productive mindset. Part seven, frequently asked questions, extended edition.
¶ Frequently Asked Questions
I receive loads of questions so let's tackle a few more than usual today. Number one, how do I balance self-acceptance with wanting to improve? Self-acceptance is recognizing you have value right now. Improvement is about nurturing that value. They're not opposites, they enhance each other. Number two, I'm afraid to celebrate my small wins because I don't want to come across as arrogant. Help. So there's a massive difference between arrogance and healthy self-acknowledgement.
Arrogance is belittling others. Celebrating yourself is about lifting up your own spirit. You can be humble and still recognize your achievements. Three, why did my small wins seem too trivial to celebrate? There is no such thing as too trivial. If it makes you smile, if it nudges you forward, that's worth celebrating. Four, I have supportive friends but I'm still my own worst critic. How do I turn that around? Well, start with small intentional acts of self-kindness.
Write down or recall your own voice praising yourself. Yes, it feels odd at first, but over time you normalise self-praise as much as you normalise self-criticism. Number five, what if life keeps throwing curveballs and my goals get derailed? Curveballs are a part of the game. Pivot, adapt and set new micro goals as needed. Resilience is built when you learn to bend without breaking.
¶ Mapping Out March Goals
Number eight, mapping out March goals. All right. Let's zone in on March specifically. Think of it as a fresh page in the book of 2025. Even if your January and February didn't go as planned, guess what? You've got an entire month ahead to recalibrate. So action steps for March. Number one, pick one to two key themes. Maybe it's wellness, maybe it's career growth, or maybe it's nurturing personal relationships. Number two, set three good enough goals per theme.
For wellness, it could be I'll do a 10-minute stretch routine twice a week. That's doable, right? Number three, schedule a mid-March check-in. Treat it like a meeting with yourself or a friend who can hold you accountable. That's it, nothing complicated. the point is to focus on momentum not perfection. Number nine resources to fuel your confidence journey.

¶ Additional Stories and Insights
Part 10, additional stories and insights. So before we wrap up, I want to share one more story because you can never have too many examples of awesome people reclaiming your worth. Am I right? So Georgina's turning point. Georgina was a people pleaser, always saying yes to requests from family, friends, colleagues, even strangers. The result? She felt depleted, undervalued and totally resentful. That happens guys when you give from an empty cup. So her lightbulb moment.
She began celebrating every time she said no to something that drained her. It was uncomfortable at first but she soon realized each note was actually a yes to herself. That seemingly small act gave her the confidence to set healthier boundaries all around. The moral of the story is that sometimes the win is in the what you don't do. Let that sink in. Giving yourself permission to prioritise your own needs can be the biggest confidence booster of all.
¶ Reflective Exercises Together
Part 11, reflective exercises live on. All right, let's do a quick reflective exercise together. Wherever you are, driving, cooking, relaxing. If you're driving, maybe pull over, okay? But take a moment to think of one small win from your day or week. Maybe it's finishing a book you started or finally cleaning out that junk drawer. So step one, identify that win. Step two, ask yourself, how did it make me feel? Even if it's just the relief or a tiny spark of joy.
Step three, commit to celebrating this achievement. Tell a friend about it, write it in your journal, or simply give yourself a mental high five right now. For that little surge of pride, that's the magic of acknowledging your progress in real time.
So summing up. As we journey from February into March, I challenge you to keep celebrating, not just the big stuff, but the small steps, the minor improvements, the daily acts of courage, because your confidence isn't some mythical creature you can't harness, it's a muscle, and each one is another step, or another rep in the gym of self-belief.
Remember your worth isn't determined by external measures small wins are the building blocks of momentum and monumental change you have the power to reclaim your confidence one step at a time so keep going keep growing and remember that you are absolutely unequivocally unequivocally.
