Episode description

He came to prominence in the mid 80's with the seminal jazz/funk band Morrissey/Mullen. Forming his own band Contact in the early 80's he released albums Push & Pull followed by Hot from the Smoke. By the early 90's Noels' searing vocals were featured with the iconic Manfred Mann's Earth Band and he has worked with the likes of Paul Carrick, Alfonso Johnson, Mike Rutherford, Paul Weller and Trevor Rabin. These days this energetic and virtuosic vocalist can be found fronting his own quartet, as well as alongside saxophonist Derek Nash in their Some Kind of Wonderful show celebrating the life-time genius of Stevie Wonder.  Hailed by Blues & Soul Magazine as 'one of Britain's best soul singers today'.
