Episode description

A legendary saxophone player and composer with magical stories that span decades. From early days of driving for Ray Charles to borrowing David Bowie’s old ambulance on European tours. Playing with Georgie Fame & The Blue Flames and onto chart topping fame with the band Gonzàlez, this gent is a proper Londoner. With an encyclopaedic mind for music he has recorded countless sessions on lengthy lists of albums and rubbed shoulders with Tom Jones and Bridget Bardot along the way. Now at the spritely age of 84 he still has no need for a microphone to blow any house down.
